Yeah, Wolf, we are learning along with my colleague Jeff Winter that Alex Predi had an encounter with federal officers a week before his death.
We've also learned that federal immigration officers have been collecting information on protesters and agitators, and they had details about Alex Predty again before that fatal shooting on Saturday.
Now, about this earlier incident, he, according to sources, had stopped his car, all of this a week prior, observing ICE agents chasing what he described as a family on foot and began shouting and blowing his whistle.
Now, Predty later told this source that five agents tackled him and one leaned on his back, which led to a broken rib.
According to the source, said, quote, that day he thought he was going to die.
Now, Predty was later given medication consistent with treating a broken rib, according to records that have been reviewed by CNN.
We've also learned that ICE agents had received a memo from the Department of A Department of Homeland Security official asking that they include information on protesters and agitators that they encountered into a form.
Now, it's unclear whether Alex Predty's information was part of this form intake, but this comes within the context of the Department of Homeland Security's repeated warnings about federal law enforcement officers at risk as they do immigration enforcement operations.
And just this morning, the department publicized an online tip form to share information about people allegedly harassing ICE officers.
Now, of course, we've heard from some Trump officials who have said that some database would be created for those arrested for impeding law enforcement.
We also saw a video over the weekend of one encounter in Maine where an officer says that the protester is going to be inserted into a database.
The Department of Homeland Security, however, has declined that any such database exists.
But all of this to say about Alex Predi, that we know that he had an encounter with ICE a week prior, that sources tell me and my colleague Jeff Winter that he had a broken rib from that encounter, and that it appears that he was known to federal law enforcement prior to that deadly shooting on Saturday.
I should also note, Wolf, we do not know if when the officers had tackled him to the ground on Saturday, whether he knew, whether they knew who he was in that moment.
Tom Holman is in, and DHS Chief Christine Noam spent two hours in the Oval Office last night as the president retreats from Minneapolis.
The move is one in a series of walkbacks from Donald Trump lately.
First, it was the intervening in Iranian protests, then it was taking Greenland, and now it's cooling things off in Minneapolis.
We will see, though, if federal law enforcement actually does leave the city.
But the change in leadership there is still significant.
Holman met with Governor Tim Walz this morning as the governor stressed the need for impartial investigations into the deaths of both Alex Predty and Nicole Good.
A demand that is not just coming from Democrats.
Republicans are increasingly uneasy about all of this as well, as are federal immigration officers who have been speaking anonymously to reporters to say they believe in the mission, but not the leadership, which in their words is going too far, putting agents in danger, not training or vetting new recruits, and losing credibility.
A statement that Governor Walls' office has put out after that meeting that you noted between Governor Walls and Tom Holman.
And that statement reads, quote, Governor Walls met with Tom Hohen this morning and reiterated Minnesota's priorities, impartial investigations into the Minneapolis shootings involving federal agents, a swift, significant reduction in the number of federal forces in Minnesota, and an end to the campaign of retribution against Minnesota.
MS Now is reporting there will be no civil rights investigation into the killing of Alex Predi.
Instead, DHS will investigate both its officers and Predi.
Kendelanian joins us in a moment to explain that.
At the same time, there are lots of calls in Congress right now for Christy Noam to be fired or impeached, along with multiple editorials from conservative outlets calling for the same, including the National Review.
Will the president do it?
Here's what he said a moment ago on the White House lawn.
So they think they're operating in the normal world where, as we've seen, police aren't always restrained.
We have had bad police incidents, many bad police incidents, but as a general matter, police respond to the public with restraint and professionalism and discipline.
If you're out there in the public, you know that's the norm for police.
And so if you're protesting now, you think you're living in that norm.
You're not anymore.
You're living in a world where these individuals, many of them, many of them are terribly trained.
Many of them believe they're on some sort of ideological crusade and they're not being held accountable in the slightest.
They're being granted an enormous amount of discretion, an enormous amount of immunity.
And all that is adding up to is authoritarian violence, which is chaotic.
Christy Noam is a despicable, corrupt, pathological liar.
We've seen her slander not just one, but two American citizens, patriotic Americans who were killed without justification on the streets of Minneapolis in the last few weeks.
She's deeply unqualified.
She never should have been confirmed to begin with by Senate Republicans.
And House Democrats have called for her to be fired immediately.
And in the event that she is not terminated, we are prepared to initiate impeachment proceedings against her in the House of Representatives.
Was there an assumption, Adam, that the people that were going to go out in Minnesota to protest SICE, that these were all, you know, seasoned operatives, that they were all agitators, they were part of organized groups who were never going to support the administration no matter what, and that the American public would see that and they would side with immigration laws.
I mean, I think there was an expectation that there would be a bunch of rabble-rousers who might respond with violence and the administration would therefore have a popular mandate to crack down even further.
Instead, what these people did was engage in a strategy of observation, avoidance of direct physical confrontation with federal agents.
All these confrontations that we've seen have been initiated by them in terms of being physically confronted.
The people who they confronted were filming them or were in the area.
But they have focused on protection and observation rather than engaging in any sort of act of violence.
This is a nonviolent civic resistance.
And I think that has been very frustrating for the Trump administration, which wanted sort of the spectacle of riots that they could use to crack down even further.
And the way that you know that that's the case is that they keep insisting that there are violent riots everywhere, even though that's not what's happening.
And there's no, you know, there's literally no footage attesting to that allegation.
Well, I can't say what they're going to do in the future.
What I can say is that they have been extraordinarily effective at countering ICE up till now.
And you can see that in their frustration and the fact that Bovino had to leave.
But I want to emphasize that, you know, Holman is, you know, he has the same views.
And I think as long as Stephen Miller is in the White House directing immigration policy, this is a man who thinks that American immigration policy went wrong when we started allowing non-white people to immigrate to this country.
And he has said explicitly, you know, when you allow, quote, third world immigration, you know, it ruins the country.
That is not an agenda of lawful but conservative immigration reform.
That is an agenda of ethnic cleansing.
He wants to make life so miserable for people of color that they leave.
And what I saw in Minnesota was families that had been in hiding for weeks that other Minnesotans, out of the goodness of their heart, were delivering food to so they could stay indoors and not be assaulted by masked men armed by the federal government.
And that is just, you know, whatever you think about immigration, that is not an agenda of lawful conservative immigration enforcement.
It is an agenda of ethnic cleansing.
And as long as that is the immigration agenda, you cannot have a normal state of affairs in this country anywhere.
There's no way you can't change their mind and they can't change your mind.
So it's going to have to be political will that gets us done.
And quite frankly, they're taking to the streets.
The Trump administration blinked because Trump's getting very bad information.
The apparatus sent 3,000 folks out there and then abandoned them.
No DOJ, no FBI, no Department of War, no Insurrection Act, no backup.
And he had Pam Bondi on, you know, Fox.
Oh, we wrote a strongly worded letter.
Well, the four points you wrote in the letter that you said and committed to that he was going to have to live up to, you just walked away from the letter.
This is why they don't take you seriously.
You gave four points.
You got to give up Sanctuary City, the criminals, the voter list.
Although we didn't think that was nearly enough, even the modicum of giving Wall something he had to commit to, nothing to get rid of Bovino.
And Bovino is a national hero and a patriot.
And now Nick Sortor's reporting up on, and if Mo and Grace can put that in the chat on his Twitter, he's saying the president didn't know that they had told, they told Bovino, you're not commander of the customs and border.
You just got to go back to the El Centro sector where you're from.
And he said that that's the case, I'm going to retire.
And supposedly, the president didn't know any of that.
President goes, that's surprising me.
I'm just putting home in there and sending and taking him out.
So this thing, the communication guy get a lot better.
The messaging guy gets a lot better.
And you have to surge some prosecutors and Treasury Department and IRS and FBI needs to go for the crimes, the in-your-face crimes that have been committed.
And still you go around the world picking a fight in response to what Netanyahu wants to do.
The Israel First Project can put on hold for a minute.
Let Israel first deal with the Palestinian state that's been created by the Board of Peace in Gaza with Qatar and Turkey until we start going.
Even a concept of bombing Tehran right now is about as insane as you can possibly get when you're an open color revolution revolt on an insurrection in Minneapolis, of which they think they're standing us down.
I mean, there's no other way to view it as they have forced a negotiation when there's really nothing to negotiate.
I think the far left and the rioters and Tim Walz and all the above have figured out that they kind of have the leverage right now because the administration has shown that the far left media, the public outcry, and the Republican Senate and all the other rhinos are a weak spot for them.
And so long as that's the case, they're not going to be able to win this.
What do you trade away in Minnesota is the real question.
And you see Tim Walz' demands.
He wants them to leave.
That's what's on the table right now.
And so I don't know how you come out of the negotiation without acknowledging the rioters' veto that they have over enforcement operations, without lessening the footprint, and without inspiring Antifa across the country that if you want to ice out, you riot.
And so who knows?
Hopefully, you know, Tom Holman's a great American.
He knows what he's doing.
I hope he isn't pushed into a corner where, you know, the forces want him to take a deal that he shouldn't take.
The only deal that's acceptable is deportation of illegal aliens.
By the way, this is why I have the brilliant Mike Howell on to start the five o'clock show because Mike Howell says Antifa's going to get inspired.
Also, what's going to get inspired is these radical elected officials.
I'm going to go to Arizona in a second.
The AG in Arizona, they've already picked up on the tactics that work in Minnesota, right?
And they're trying to implement them in Arizona and these other states right now that have heretofore, we've had, you know, in Texas and other places, pretty good working relations because we're doing these raids all over the country.
But they're going to take the lessons, the lessons of what they learned on the streets and with these government officials and these signal chats and all that.
from Detroit down to Houston and New York to LA, Where there's pride in every American heart.
And it's time we stand and say that I'm proud to be an American, where at least I know I'm free.
And I won't forget the men who died, who gave that night to me, and I gladly stand up next to you and defend her still today, because there ain't no doubt I love this land.
You know, one thing I think which is so important is if you remember a year and a half ago, we couldn't get people to enlist in the military, any of them.
Army, Navy, Air Force, Marines, any of them.
The Coast Guard, Space Force, I love Space Force, right?
But despite the fact that we've just really started, it's just kicking in because we inherited such a horrible situation with all of the high prices and the inflation and everything else.
And by the way, the open borders, we had millions and everything you see today wouldn't happen.
They opened the borders, but we had a 5.4%.
And since the election, the stock market is at 52 all-time highs, adding $9 trillion in value to your savings, retirement account, and 401ks.
So 401k people, I mean, of which you got a lot of people.
And today I'm pleased to announce one more historic investment.
The great American company that we just talked about is doing so much.
I have to give it really.
I buy so much equipment from so many of the people in the, you know, we have a lot of very successful companies in here, but I know it's a very special deal because John Deere is doing $70 million in factory in North Carolina.
It's brand new, the best in the world.
And I think it's going to pay off very, very big.
And if it doesn't, I have nothing to do with it.
But if it does, I'm going to take, I'm going to take full credit.
But what it is, is an excavator factory, as I understand it, and it's going to be the only excavator factory.
In other words, excavators, we all know, I love those excavators.
Believe it or not, I know a lot about them.
We don't make them here.
This is going to be the only excavator entirely made in the United States of America.
But I will tell you, the amazing, we didn't know much about her.
And you know, when you're running a campaign, you're focused on the person you're in.
So we're running against Sleepy Joe Biden, Crooked.
I call him Crooked Joe, Sleepy Joe.
They're both accurate.
And we're running against him all of a sudden.
And he's way down in the polls, down by a lot.
And all of a sudden, they take him out and they put a new, this is like, I told Dana White the other night, it's like taking a fighter, putting him in.
He's getting the hellbeat out of me.
You take him out and you put a new fighter in.
I said, that's not fair.
But that's to me.
The stuff that happened to me can only happen to me.
But I repealed the Biden's EPA ridiculous water restrictions to keep federal bureaucrats off your land and out of your business.
I terminated the so-called diesel exhaust fluid requirement.
You know what that is?
Saving family farmers more than $1 billion a year.
And we're going to do a lot more.
We're going to do something on tractors.
You know, they never took the, we did it with cars.
We took all that nonsense off the cars.
You couldn't start your car.
You'd have to go to MIT to get somebody to fix your car with all the crap they had on it in order to save a quarter of a glass of this much little tiny bit of gas.
These people are crazy.
And I'm going to do that, I think, for tractors too, because we're going to get the tractors back.
Where you don't have to be a PhD in order to start your tractor, in order to keep the environment clean, so much nonsense.
I think it makes the environment dirty, actually.
And very importantly, on day one, I kept my promise to the people of Iowa and abolished the insane electric vehicle mandate, which would have obligated you to go out and buy an electric car, but it would have obliterated a thing called ethanol.
After years of the United States getting ripped off by other countries on trade, I'm standing up for the workers and the farmers of our country like no other president has ever done.
No other president has done this.
I mean, no other president has done this.
I could have had an ACC presidency.
I probably have this little piece of earback, you know.
Could have it, and I wouldn't have to listen to lunatics like this up there.
If a Democrat got a half a point down, this is like hundreds of, depending on the way you want to calculate it, you could say it's an 80% reduction, or you could say it's a thousand percent reduction.
You could say whatever you want, but it's the biggest reduction in history by many, many times.
I did something because we were subsidizing the entire world.
We were paying 10 times, in many cases, more money than the rest of the world.
But I've made new fair trade deals with countries covering half of all scoring giant wins for the farmers, ranchers, and agricultural producers like no other president has ever done.
That's why I got such a tremendous vote from the farmers.
So Japan will now allow the United States to supply up to 100% of automobile ethanol, automotive ethanol, and import large amounts of aviation biofuels from the United States.
The European Union will dramatically increase purchases of American pork, dairy, and soybean oil.
They never did that before.
They're all doing things that they never did before, because you have a certain president that's a little bit different from the presidents that you had before.
And nations from Cambodia to Thailand to the Philippines and Indonesia are eliminating all trade barriers to agricultural products, your agricultural products, had trade barriers that didn't allow them to be sold in countries that are now saying, oh, please, we'd love to accept your product.
I want to be there in person to tell them, the people of Iowa, to know that I am trusting Speaker Mike Johnson, who's great, and Leader John Thune, who's great.
That's House and Senate.
To find a deal that works, we've got it.
For farmers, consumers, and refiners, including small and mid-sized refiners.
In other words, to get E-15 approved, and they're working on it.
They're very close to getting it done.
So I just want to let you know that.
And China will be sending me a bill very shortly, supporting year round E15 to my desk very quickly.
You know, the worst thing about the midterms is the fact that no matter what happens, the people that win the presidency, you win the president.
Even if you're a good president, I think we're the best first year of any president ever, maybe they say.
But even if you have any great, it's like in the last 50 years, they've won it twice.
Can you believe it?
Something happens is a screw turns with the voters.
So even if it's a Democrat or Republican, whoever wins the presidency has a hard time with the midterm.
If we lose the midterms, you'll lose so many of the things that we're talking about, so many of the assets that we're talking about, so many of the tax cuts that we're talking about.
And it would lead to very bad things.
We've got to win the midterms.
I mean, I'm here because I love Iowa, but I'm here because we're starting the campaign to win the midterms.
The worst is open borders, because, you know, I take care of things and, you know, inflation, I had it beat very quickly and all.
But this open border thing, you know, it's a lot of work taking criminals that they allowed into our country where the jails are opened up.
Remember, the jails, the prisons all over from all over the world, they're open up.
The Congo, all over South America, Venezuela, they opened up their jails.
We've got to get them out.
I mean, it's really, really, we can never forget what that group of morons did to this country.
We can never forget.
And we've got to win the midterms.
That's why we've got to win the midterms.
As we bring trillions of dollars pouring into our country from overseas, we're also making America affordable again, a problem caused totally by the crooked Joe Biden administration.
So everyone says, you know, look, you people are doing a lot of things.
You're not into politics that much, although you like it, you like Trump.
But you're not into politics.
But you're not going to go back and examine.
All you know is, oh, therefore, I guess that means they did a good job.
They almost destroyed our country.
They were pricing you out when gasoline's at $4.50 and now it's at $1.
I was told, you know, I was saying $1.99 today in Iowa.
I was told that it was $1.85 that hit a gallon in Iowa.
And you know, that's like a massive tax cut.
That's actually like a massive tax cut.
So the Biden nightmare cost a typical American family $34,000 in four years, but after one year of Trump, real wages are already up more than $2,000.
Think of it.
That's a $5,000 swing, much faster.
Wages have gone up much faster.
Think of this than inflation.
With him, it was just the opposite.
Wages in the United States in the last year have gone up.
And remember, the first part of the year, actually, you could say almost the first year, I was fixing the country from the horror show that we inherited.
Grocery prices, airfares, hotels, car payments, and rent prices have all come down and they've come down very fast.
And thanks to our tax cuts, millions of Americans will soon receive record-setting tax refunds, an average of more than $1,000.
Think of that.
$1,000 compared to last year.
$1,000 just in what you're going to save with some of the tax cuts.
And that number goes up exponentially over the course of four years.
So it's, I mean, it's amazing.
It's called The Great Big Beautiful Bill.
You know, one other thing that they get, you get that I thought was so great.
I came up with it.
You know, very rich people get deductions.
Middle-income people don't get deductions.
I said, why is it that when a rich person buys something, they get a deduction on interest, but when somebody that's working like hell, they don't get it.
And I said, why can't somebody buy a car in America, only if it's made in America?
If it's made in some other country, we have no interest.
So I got it approved in the Great Big Beautiful Bill.
You get a full tax deduction against your income tax.
You get a full tax deduction.
Think of it.
If you purchase a car in America, if you borrow money, the interest that you're paying on that borrowed money is a full deduction for your tax purposes.
