| Has it really damaged Iran's nuclear program as much as it says that it wants to? | ||

Well, as that piece demonstrates, Prime Minister Netanyahu has been very alarmist for a long time about the Iranian nuclear program, and obviously, in hindsight, a lot of that alarm. | |
| It was exaggerated. | ||
| But I think it is the case that the Iranian nuclear program has accelerated since President Trump's disastrous decision in 2018 to exit the Iranian nuclear accord. | ||
| At that point, we know that the Iranian breakout time, the amount of time they would take to have enough fissile material for a bomb, was over a year. | ||
| Now, I think everybody agrees, including U.S. intelligence, it's down to a week or two. | ||
| I think the question mark is, how long would it take them to actually weaponize that material? | ||
| And that's, I think, where you have a dispute between the Israelis. | ||
| Who are saying they could weaponize very quickly, and the U.S. intelligence community, which is saying it would take a longer period of time. | ||
| But I think you're on to a key point here, Abby, which is what happens if the Israelis do not, or the U.S. or somebody does not take out the Ford outside? | ||
| And the reality is the Iranian nuclear program will pretty much continue despite all the damage that the Iranians are are suffering in this Israeli air campaign. | ||
| So that's why. | ||
| But even keep in mind, even if Fordow is taken out, that doesn't mean that Iran will never be able to get a nuclear weapon because the know-how, probably a lot of the enriched uranium, all that stuff will remain still in Iranian hands. | ||
| But clearly, Fordow is a very big deal. | ||
| And I think what what what President Trump has to calculate is, is it worth going after Fordow, given the risk that the Iranians have so far been refraining from attacking U.S. bases or shipping in the region? | ||
| And so, you know, you see all these U.S. bases, which are very close to Iran, and in fact, much closer than Israel. | ||
| And so, you know, Israel is about a thousand miles from Iran. | ||
| These bases are much closer. | ||
| So Iran has a lot more missiles that they can shoot at them. | ||
| They have drones. | ||
| They also have the capability to sow mines in the Persian Gulf and the Red Sea. | ||
| So there's a lot more damage they can probably do even in their weakened state. | ||
| And so that's what I think President Trump has to balance here. | ||
| Is it worth the risk? | ||
| Of going after Fordow if it means getting the U.S. involved in the middle of these hostilities. | ||

| Max Boot, who is the biggest MAGA and Trump hater on earth, or one of them, put him in the top 25. He's just laying it out there for CNN, and he does a very good job because he's kind of an expert in the military. | ||
| He's written a bunch of books. | ||
| Very learned man. | ||
| And very pro-Israel. | ||
| He says, as a matter of fact, of course. | ||
| You have to get to Fedor, and only the Americans have the technologies. | ||
| The Israelis can't finish it, so now the Americans have to finish it. | ||
| All these risks have to finish it. | ||
| And if you don't get that, then you're not taking the program. | ||
| So tell me, why did you start something you couldn't finish? | ||
| Remember, I was upset at first that we had to do the defense. | ||
| We had to put up the air defenses. | ||
| Why did you start something that you knew you couldn't finish? | ||
| Are we supposed to just step in and say, oh fine, let's finish it? | ||
| That is a massive decision for the President of the United States who has to come to the American people and say, hey, I've weighed and measured it, here's what I'm going to do. | ||
| And yes, we have enough faith in President Trump and his judgment that he will come to the right conclusion. | ||

| The behavior of Fox, it's exactly like you got us into the Iraq War. | ||

| The same, now they're talking about The Iraq Revolutionary Council, the Iran Council that's out there, and they got the Shah's son, and they have, you know, the people, M.E.K., they got all these different guys, and they asked me this thing, are we supposed to do due diligence on this? | ||

| And that led them into the streets by 22. If you cut off the oil and you went up the escalatory ladder, not on military, but go up the escalatory ladder on economic warfare, you would break these guys and the people would do it. | ||
| It would not be regime change or regime destruction from the top, and particularly from the Israelis and the Americans. | ||
| What are they supposed to do? | ||

| They're just going to say, oh, this is terrific. | ||

| As I was on a 7th Fleet destroyer squadron with a carrier battle group that did the exact same thing, left that area, went through the Malacca Straits, crossed the Indian Ocean up to Camel and Gonzo Station 50 years ago in 1979, whatever that math works out to. | ||
| We need to have an adult conversation. | ||
| The pressure on President Trump's coming from the outside. | ||
| And it's coming from people who are not straight with him. | ||

| And massive amount of debt that we have to pay on every single day and we'll always have to pay on because we're never going to pay one penny of the principal back. | ||
| So when we're asked to do it again, we have to make a decision as a country. | ||
| And yes, President Trump's the commander-in-chief, and he's going to work through this and decide. | ||
| But he knows, because he looks at the history of Nixon and Johnson and others, Bush, that they have to bring the country along. | ||
| And these things are much easier to start than to finish. | ||
| So that's why, again, The Israelis should finish what they started. | ||
| I keep hearing they have this capability. | ||
| It may take them longer. | ||
