Speaker Time Text
steve bannon
This is the primal scream of a dying regime.
Pray for our enemies.
unidentified
Because we're going medieval on these people.
steve bannon
I got a free shot at all these networks lying about the people.
The people have had a belly full of it.
I know you don't like hearing that.
I know you've tried to do everything in the world to stop that, but you're not going to stop it.
It's going to happen.
jake tapper
And where do people like that go to share the big line?
unidentified
MAGA Media.
jake tapper
I wish in my soul, I wish that any of these people had a conscience.
unidentified
Ask yourself, what is my task and what is my purpose?
steve bannon
If that answer is to save my country, this country will be saved.
unidentified
War Room.
Here's your host, Stephen K. Band.
steve bannon
Okay, Wednesday, 14 May, Year of the Lord, 2025.
On the eve of tomorrow, the arguing of the 14th Amendment, birthright citizenship.
So much going on today.
We started President Trump in Qatar.
They're going to have a state dinner.
I think the camera's going to be there for at least the kickoff of it.
And we will either cover it or Charlie Kirkwell here on Real America's Voice.
Another big event today.
Steve Stern joins us.
Steve, what do you got for us?
Where do people go?
What time?
And who's speaking?
unidentified
So we're going to have the...
Largest election security call ever held.
It's going to be 2 o 'clock.
Go to sstern1054 at gmail.com.
My email should be on the bottom, so get your phone out, get your pencil out.
And what's going to happen?
We're going to have Tina Peters calling from prison.
Our main goal is to get her out of prison.
We've had a number of these calls.
This one is going to be big.
We're asking everybody to call the governor at 303-866-2471.
And ask for a pardon.
We're going to have Marcy Hoshica, who is her best friend, is going to be talking about her visits with her and what they're doing to her.
We're going to have a town hall for 30 minutes.
steve bannon
But hold it, Steve, Steve, Steve, hang on.
The governor of Colorado, Polis, is running for president.
And one of the things, in a Democratic primary, he's probably the farthest left crazy.
He's running on the fact that he's got Tina Peters in prison.
Why in a billion years?
I'm not saying we shouldn't do it.
You have to do it.
You have to go on the record that we did it and he turned it down.
But in your heart of hearts, why is Polis the most radical of all the governors in our beloved union?
This is his big political get.
He's got a political prisoner.
The left hates Tina Peters because she's a paragon of truth.
She called it out.
And Colorado's been taken over by a bunch of radicals and, quite frankly, don't have enough.
You've got some great Republicans out there, but a lot of the senior Republicans and the people in the establishment don't want to hear about Tina Peters, sir.
unidentified
Well, President Trump just put a directive out for the departments to do everything and get her out of jail.
steve stern
If we don't get together, because 90% of the people don't even know who Tina Peters is, we're bringing this out.
unidentified
To let everybody know who she is, what she did, and what happened.
So Mark Cook is going to have many of her friends, many of the people that work with her on for 30 minutes for a town hall.
Then we're going to have Marlee Hornick on.
She's going to United Sovereign America.
She's going to tell you what we're doing in Colorado with the voter rolls.
We're going to expose everything out there.
Sure, Polis is a left-leaning guy.
Most of the people out there in Colorado are left-leaning, but we have a lot of Republicans.
I have called every chair, every vice chair.
In Colorado, we need people to step up.
Now, if we have a voice, we're going to have probably 8 million people on this today, and you were the first one to put it live on The War Room about nine months ago.
That started this thing going fantastic.
We're going to have Linda Sinkowitz on.
She's going to talk about all the double voters in Colorado.
We're going to have Marty Wallman on.
He just visited with Tina over the weekend.
We're going to have Dr. Doug Frank on.
He's going to talk about what they did at the trial.
Joseph Hopp's going to be on, Gateway Pundit.
We're going to have Annie Parchet on from Illinois talking about precinct strategy.
Let's not forget about this.
This election's coming up in 2026, and we can't go to sleep.
We've got to get all these people working just in New York, in Queens.
6,000 Democrats have turned to Republicans.
Now, that's because of precinct strategy.
People are going out there.
They're knocking on doors.
They're not going outdoors where Republicans are in the House and they have a Democrat in the House.
That's what we're doing in Broward County.
I'm the vice chair here.
So if you want to get on today, I know I can talk for an hour.
General Flynn's going to try to get on there.
We're also asking everybody to send Tina a card.
Give her some support.
Go and send Tina Peters, 203-512-1401-W.
That's 17th Street, Pueblo, California.
Come on today or go to Stern American Live or go to The War Room Live.
You can see it live at 2 o 'clock.
I'm going to spend the next two hours on telling everybody how to get on.
Thank you very much for having me on, Steve.
We love you.
steve bannon
Hang on, Steve.
2 p.m. Eastern Daylight Time.
This is going to go on for an hour, hour and a half.
How long will it go for?
unidentified
Two and a half hours with all the people that are going to be talking.
We've got a lot more people talking.
We won't talk about it because we don't have time.
But if everybody copies my email down, send me that.
I'll send you a link.
If not, they go on The War Room, on Getter.
We've got it all over.
We have 148 podcasters streaming this live.
The voice is big.
If we can do this, we can do anything.
Anything that needs to get done, there's a big voice out there.
You can call me.
I'm here.
I'm working 24-7 on that.
You can go to the flag shirt and get on there.
We've got it on every place today.
We had 8 million people on it three weeks ago.
We're also going to have a big Flag Day event June 14th.
We're going to have Flag Day and Election Security.
Eight hours on TV on that Saturday.
Thank you very much for having me on.
I know you're busy.
I don't want to take up any more time.
steve bannon
Okay, Steve, we'll see you at two.
We're doing it live here on War Room, all of our platforms for the entire two and a half hours.
I'm going to try to break away and actually slip in there and join it.
Also, look forward to it, Steve.
And you're right, Tina Peters is a priority, and it's absolutely insane what has happened to that woman.
She's one of the most abused political prisoners in the history of this republic.
It's a disgrace.
Thank you, Steve Stern.
See you two o 'clock today, sir.
unidentified
Two o 'clock Eastern.
steve bannon
2 p.m. Eastern Daylight Time.
Okay, Grace and Mo and Elizabeth, everybody's got that.
Let's push it out hard.
The Viceroy joins me today.
First off, Matt Gaetz was on here for the hour.
Matt agrees with you that we need a forcing, but maybe even, I think, I don't know if more radical, but he's saying, hey, we should be...
The president should not be complying on anything regarding his commander-in-chief power right now.
That the plane should be flying and he should be taking guys off and forcing Roberts' hands on this.
Your thoughts, Viceroy Davis?
mike davis
Yeah, let me just say this about Tina Peters, what you were talking about with Steve Stearns.
This is really important.
I did an opinion piece in The Federalist right before the election in 2024.
I did a Denver...
Post-peace in March, I've worked with Lauren Boebert to send a letter to the Justice Department, including Kash Patel at the FBI.
What they are doing to Tina Peters is a criminal civil rights violation.
With the Democrat Secretary of State in Colorado, I'm here right now, the Democrat Attorney General, the local prosecutor, and the Democrat judge, they are punishing Tina Peters because of her political viewpoint.
She thought the election was stolen because it was.
And she got thrown in prison for nine years as a 69-year-old woman because she does not want to disavow her correct belief that the 2020 election was stolen.
So, yes, I agree with Steve Stern.
Turn up the pressure on Polis.
We have a phone to action where we're calling on Colorado residents to put the heat on Polis to expose him as a far-left radical, as you say, Steve, because he thinks he's going to run through this primary and pivot to the middle.
steve bannon
He's running off of Tina Peters to the left.
But hang on.
You said something about criminal.
Do you believe what they're doing, the judges, the prosecutors, the prisoners?
Do you believe what they're doing to Tina Peters?
Is actually criminal on their side?
And can we pursue that?
And why is Maine Justice or the U.S. Attorneys that they're not, sir?
mike davis
Maybe they are.
Maybe Kash Patel is actually doing something with that letter that I worked with Lauren Boebert, the great congresswoman out here in Colorado, to send because this is a conspiracy against rights under our federal civil rights criminal statutes.
When you use government to punish people for exercising their constitutional rights, like their free speech rights under the First Amendment, that is a very serious federal civil rights felony, just like conspiracy.
Conspiracy against rights against President Trump, his top aides, his supporters, when you politicize and weaponize government, law enforcement, intel agencies to go after your political opponents for non-crimes.
18 U.S.C.
Section 241, conspiracy against rights, a very serious...
I would tell Jenna Griswold, I would tell the Democrat Attorney General, what the hell is his name, Phil Weiser, and then I would tell this judge, this judge out here, Mesa County Judge Matthew Barrett, I forgot these losers' names, you might be in a deep blue state here in Colorado, but you're not immune from federal civil rights criminal statutes, so lawyer up.
steve bannon
Tina Peters, you're right.
It's a disgrace.
And Polis, and I know we've got to make the case, but Polis is running for president in this Democratic primary on one of the big things is the trophy he's got of Tina Peters.
This is how I'm saying the leftist.
A gold star mother in a nasty prison in Colorado, and they're championing that.
Let me go back to Gates and the president and his actions right now.
Matt said he should be defying these courts, even at this stage, to force Roberts' hands.
Otherwise, he says Roberts is going to try to avoid this.
Your thoughts, sir?
mike davis
Look, the president has a constitutional duty under Article II of our Constitution as commander-in-chief to secure our border and expel the invasion of foreign terrorists who are kidnapping, robbing, raping, torturing.
Murdering Americans.
He has that constitutional duty under Article 2 separate from any statute, separate from the Alien Enemies Act, separate from any immigration statute.
He has that duty, and he should move forward and carry out that constitutional duty to expel an invasion of foreign terrorists, right, who are working with Venezuela to harm Americans.
And he also has a constitutional duty to take care that our laws are faithful.
And that means cutting waste, fraud and abuse in our government.
That means we're not funding Hamas to kill Americans under the guise of humanitarian aid from USAID.
And I would tell this, and I mean this...
I have never called for the president to ignore a court's order before until Judge Boesberg illegally opened up his courtroom on a Saturday and exposed an ongoing military operation by the president to expel an invasion of terrorists with Trendy Aragua and MS-13.
And this Judge Boesberg even ordered the planes to be turned around.
And so, yes, in that situation, the president has not only...
The rights, but the duty to ignore this order that the Supreme Court ruled was illegal.
Boesburg's order was illegal.
They struck his orders, including his contempt proceedings.
But I think it's a very high bar for the president to ignore a court's order.
It has to be clearly illegal and highly dangerous to America's national security.
And I think the president has an obligation to ignore that court's order.
steve bannon
I want to hold you through the break.
We're going to do a short break in a moment.
But Matt also is of the opinion that Roberts, your theory of the case and mine, is that this has got to be resolved by the end of June because you can't have this summer.
You can't have 90 to 100 days before they come back with this open question.
Matt thinks that the opposite.
He thinks Roberts is going to go out of his way to try to avoid any decision here.
Sir, your thoughts?
mike davis
Well, then what the president should do is say, okay, the Supreme Court, the seven generals on the Supreme Court, Commanding General John Roberts and six lieutenant generals think that they're going to tell the president that he cannot repel a foreign invasion of terrorists under the Alien Enemies Act.
So the president should say, okay, while these seven generals are...
Naval-gazing about the Alien Enemies Act, the President should assert his Article II power as Commander-in-Chief and get these people the hell out of our country immediately.
steve bannon
Mike Davis, hang on.
We've got so much more to go through.
By the way, pretty good team you field when you have Matt Gaetz and Mike Davis at the tip of the tip of the spear.
Makes me feel pretty good who we've got lined up on our side of the football.
End of the dollar empire.
Senator Johnson is going to be on talking about the economic business model, financial model of the United States of America.
Okay?
And he's going to give a shotgun blast like only he can do it.
Make sure you go to birchgold.com slash Bannon right now to get all the information you need to understand this.
The end of the dollar empire.
It's now seven free installments.
The latest is the Rio Reset, which happens July 6th.
We're doing the road to Rio as the BRICS nations.
Look to organize to make sure that the United States does not keep the ultimate and supreme power, the prime reserve currency.
Go check it out today and understand why gold has been a hedge against times of financial turbulence for, I don't know, 5,000 years?
unidentified
Check it out.
steve bannon
Talk to Philip Packer.
Birchgold.com slash Bannon.
End of the Dollar Empire.
Short commercial break.
The Viceroy, Mike Davis, on the other side.
mika brzezinski
For the first time a federal judge has ruled the Trump administration can invoke the Alien Enemies Act to remove Venezuelan migrants from the country.
unidentified
What part of Texas is he from?
mika brzezinski
The judge ruled yesterday that the government can use the centuries-old wartime law to expel alleged members of the Trende Aragua gang if it first provides adequate advance notice and due process.
Axios reports the judge said the government has to provide a 21-day notice in a language understood by the migrants and an opportunity to be heard before deporting people under the Alien Enemies Act.
The administration had argued it only needed to give migrants 24 hours notice, so some strings attached.
joe scarborough
Well, yeah, and Elizabeth Buhmiller, that's not really the greatest news.
For the Trump administration, I thought the purpose of the Alien Enemies Act would be to be able to sweep them up off the street, throw them onto a plane, and fly them out.
steve bannon
Okay, let me have this morning, Joe.
They broke this big announcement.
They kind of downplayed it.
It's actually cut against us because it was a narrow ruling.
Your thoughts, Mike Davis?
mike davis
This was an important ruling by Judge Stephanie Haynes.
Judge Haynes is a Trump judge.
Who went through the process back in 2019 when I was helping President Trump confirm these judges.
And she is a colonel in the Army.
She was a former federal prosecutor.
She got confirmed, I think, unanimously in the Senate.
I don't think she had anyone oppose her nomination.
So you can't really say that she's some right wing radical and she's exactly right as it relates to the president has the power under the Alien Enemies Act to designate alien enemies and get them the hell out of our country.
I disagree with her that you need 21 days notice.
I think that she's just making that up, and I think that she's just trying to figure out, to read the tea leaves, to figure out where the seven...
Generals on the Supreme Court could be what mood, whatever mood those ladies will be in, the seven women generals on the Supreme Court, what mood they're going to be in that day.
And maybe Stephanie Haynes is just trying to figure out their mood.
So she's saying 21 days to appease the ladies on the Supreme Court.
steve bannon
I want to pivot for a second because this is all going to come to head.
We're also going to mic on tomorrow.
The 14th Amendment, a historic...
Presentation at the Supreme Court tomorrow.
Pretty historic.
Davis will come on and give us pregame on that.
Mike, two things.
One, a piece you wrote in the Washington Times, another in Verge.
Let's start with Verge because it showed, once again, like we shut down the ability to get rid of the FTC, the power of Article III and the Warren Posse when they get to the ramparts is pretty historic and gets the attention.
of decision makers, not just this country, through the world.
Talk to me about this Verge story, about copyright, about what tried to happen, and we've begun the process of shutting it down.
mike davis
Well, I think Mark Zuckerberg is going to get Steve Bannon and me on the alien enemies expulsion list after the work we've been doing over the last three months to shut down Mark Zuckerberg.
Google, Amazon, Facebook, and Apple.
Big tech's power plays to try to sneak things through in the Trump administration, whether it was shutting down the Meta play to go to the FTC to end the Trump lawsuit from his first term to hold Meta accountable for its antitrust abuses.
Thank God, Andrew Ferguson, our good friend who's been on the war room, is the chairman of the FTC, and he is charging forward to hold Facebook accountable for its market.
We have an all-star team with Andrew Ferguson, Gail Slater, and the new addition, Mark Meador, who joins the FTC.
We have a really good all-star antitrust team.
President Trump has picked some really good people, and they're all our friends and allies.
On the War Room, in the Article 3 project.
The next thing that the big tech oligarchs are trying to do, the broligarchs, as Steve calls them, is they're trying to take every creative work in the world, everything that's copyrighted or copyrightable, and put it into their AI machines, steal it.
They're saying they're training their AI machines, they're stealing everyone's content, all their works.
For profit.
And they're going to say that's somehow fair use under the Copyright Act.
Under the Copyright Act, the creators of the copyrights...
Kids will own it, and they get to make money off of the copyright, and there's an exception for fair use, meaning if Steve Bannon's war room is played in a classroom for some god-awful reason and polluted those kids' minds, that would be considered fair use under the Copyright Act because it's for educational purposes, and Steve Bannon couldn't sue those teachers and students for copyright violations.
But it's not fair use to take.
Bannon War Room episodes and put it into the AI machines and profit off of them.
And let me tell you how this affects, we've talked about this before, how this affects these creators.
If you say, give me all the hits that Mike Davis has done on Steve Bannon's War Room over the last four years, and it pulls up to 3,000 hits or whatever the hell it is, and it gives a summary of those hits, and you don't have to go click on the hits, and you get a summary of what Steve Bannon and I talked about over the last three years.
That's very valuable to those AI machines, and it causes Steve Bannon to lose a lot of money on the clicks.
And so how does he pay his staff?
How does he...
You know, if he's not getting clicks and advertisers, how the hell does he pay his staff to keep the show going?
He doesn't have China and George Soros propping him up like the Democrat shows do.
So we have to do it the old-fashioned way on the conservative side through advertising.
But this affects everyone.
It affects every creator in the world.
Songwriters, movie makers, podcasters.
Book writers, everyone.
And so they tried to go, these big tech platforms tried to go to the Justice Department and get the Justice Department to file a court brief saying, sure.
This is fair.
You steal everyone's content.
We need to compete against China.
Because apparently to compete against China, we have to steal like China.
And in order to compete against China, we need slave laborers like China.
Steve Bannon is going to be the slave laborer for Mark Zuckerberg at Meta, right?
And so that's not going to fly.
We shut that down.
And then the next move is they try to get rid of...
Now, President Trump did not know this was the play, but they got President Trump to get rid of the Librarian of Congress and the Copyright Office Registrar, the head of the Copyright Office, who has the keys to the kingdom for every copyright in the world.
And then they thought they were going to slip in their big tech shill as the copyright registrar and then just give away all the copyrights, give a backdoor access to the copyrights to all these big tech platforms.
We've effectively shut that down as the Verge story talks about.
Now their next play is they're going to Congress and they're trying to give these AI...
Big tech AI platforms, 10 years of amnesty from the states, like they did with Section 230 with big tech platforms many years ago.
Section 230 and antitrust amnesty, they're trying to do the AI amnesty, this time through reconciliation.
We're going to shut that down as well.
Look, these big tech oligarchs, these trillion-dollar big tech oligarchs...
Google, Amazon, Facebook, and Apple.
They don't need the government's help with anything.
They actually need the government's help to break them up because they're illegal monopolists.
steve bannon
What is the process for that?
What's the process?
We've got the most aggressive Justice Department.
You've got an aggressive FTC.
You've got an aggressive FCC.
You've got the best teams ever been fielded.
I mean, they had Lena Kahn and other great people and left them hanging out to dry because the Democratic Party is controlled by the oligarchs.
That's what makes the Bernie and the AOC thing so phony.
What is your recommendation here to go on even more offense, sir?
mike davis
I would recommend that Andrew Ferguson and Gail Slater and Mark Meador focus like a laser beam on these big tech platforms.
Google.
Amazon, Facebook, and Apple.
These are the existential threats to our free markets.
These are the trillion-dollar big tech monopolists that are crushing competition, canceling conservatives and others with whom they disagree and shuttering small businesses.
I would focus like a laser beam on Google, Amazon, Facebook, and Apple.
And that keeps together our bipartisan...
Antitrust coalition.
It keeps President Trump happy, and it keeps us focused.
And if we stray from Google, Amazon, Facebook, and Apple, it's going to undermine our bipartisan coalition, and it's going to make President Trump unhappy.
steve bannon
The Zero Hedge Day has about a new book about what Apple's done and really conspiring with the Chinese Communist Party.
I'm going to get to that probably on Friday.
Mike Davis, Article 3. This audience, the people of Article 3, folks, you've made such a massive, massive difference here.
And I'm telling you, the city's, the imperial capital is kind of shocked at some of the wins we've had here over the last couple of weeks because the people are just not going to sit here and tolerate these oligarchs controlling the nation.
Mike, where do people go?
mike davis
Article3project.org, article3project.org.
You can follow us on social media, donate.
But only what you can afford.
And again, the war room posse superpower is action.
ron johnson
Take action.
unidentified
Action, action, action.
steve bannon
Mike Davis, look forward to it.
We'll get you back on tomorrow on this historic argument in the front of the Supreme Court tomorrow on the 14th Amendment.
Thank you so much, sir.
Mike Davis.
So proud of President Trump.
If you think about it, everybody said, oh, the oligarchs are going to run and be invited to the inaugural.
I said, hey, that's like a Roman general bringing in the...
The barbarian chieftains to be behind the chariot as he's having a triumph, right?
And look what he's done going after the oligarchs.
It's breathtaking.
Even Democrats say it's breathtaking what he's done, given how Biden basically hung out Lena Kahn and the rest of these people to dry.
And if you look at what he's done to Big Pharma and signed the executive order, and they're all saying, well, it doesn't matter.
It's not going to happen.
unidentified
You wait.
steve bannon
It matters.
When Trump signs something, he expects to get it done.
He doesn't want anybody to cause no games.
Talking about games, the BRICS nations, guess what?
They are all over the fact that they want to break the dollar empire.
They want to stop the United States of being the prime reserve currency.
Ten-year treasury just touched 4.5%.
Hello?
We kind of warned about this.
Bond market is going to have a say-so in this.
You know, the Ways and Means Committee just bragged today.
We passed everything.
We got it.
I noticed no tax on Social Security wasn't listed, folks.
Ron Johnson, who is a businessman and entrepreneur, is going to be here next to walk through the basic economic business model and financing model of the United States of America.

Senator Ron Johnson was famous for being in that Tea Party revolution back in 2010 as being really the most Tea Party of all the senators that came to the United States Senate.
Senator Johnson, I knew Pat Cadell.
We got to meet him early on.
Just fantastic.
He came as an entrepreneur, not as a lawyer, as an entrepreneur, and had a whole set of ideas about how you put the entrepreneurial spirit, the entrepreneurial business spirit, into the federal government to really change the economic business model and the financing model of this nation.
Senator Johnson joins us now.
Senator Johnson, you've got all kinds of things you want to get to in detail, but I've got to ask you a question.
Fifteen years later...
Given your angle of attack, which was different than anybody else in the city at the time, where do you think we stand 15 years later as we're now talking about a $2 trillion deficit this year and what we observed on the CR?
The current budget, I don't know, the big beautiful bill, I think is $2.5 trillion deficit, $2 to $2.5 trillion.
The CBO is talking about, I don't know, $20 trillion in 10 years.
Where do you think we stand and have your efforts succeeded, sir?
ron johnson
Well, from the standpoint of our fiscal situation, we're in far greater danger.
Steve, I did run in 2010.
I remember the parades.
I beat Russ Feingold shouting to the crowds, we're mortgaging our children's future.
It's wrong.
It's immoral.
It has to stop.
This is a fight for freedom.
That's why I'm here.
I haven't changed.
I still view myself more Tea Party than Republican Party.
And I recognize this is pretty much our last opportunity.
We have to take advantage of it, and what depresses me is we're not.
We're not taking the time to go through the process.
It's one of the things I point out.
You do not come from a manufacturing background.
You do not have a good product if you don't have a good process, and we've never had a process to control.
Government spending.
We don't have a balanced budget requirement.
The Budget Act didn't work.
The Simpson-Bowles Committee didn't work.
The Budget Control Act didn't work.
I didn't realize the appropriation committees were actually established because the authorizing committees were big spenders, so the appropriation committees were going to be the control.
Well, that obviously didn't work.
So, you know, I've written my third column in a series of the Wall Street Journal.
I started out in January where he laid out an unchallengeable, a very reasonable approach.
To returning to a pre-pandemic level spending.
Go back to prior years.
I chose Clinton, Obama, and Trump 2019.
Take the 1998 spending under Clinton and Obama in 2014 and Trump 2019.
Use today's Social Security and Medicare.
You could even exempt Medicaid and interest and then grow all their expenditures by population growth and inflation.
And you end up with a baseline budget of somewhere between 5.5 and 6.5.
Okay?
Eminently reasonable.
Nobody can argue with it.
Nobody is arguing with it.
They're just throwing in the towel.
Just, ah, it's too hard.
They're not, Steve, they're not willing to do the work.
Doge has shown us how to do this.
You have to look at individual contracts.
You have to go through the budget line by line.
There's a couple thousand lines in the budget and then probably thousands of lines under each of those.
I proposed a budget review panel, senators, House members, members of OMB, sitting and having the administration officials, their budget experts, come through and justify it, just like you would in business.
Why are you spending more than we spent in 2019 plussed up for population growth and inflation?
Explain yourself.
Justify it.
I have to believe if we do the work, and nobody seems to be willing to do it, if we do the work, you literally would find hundreds of billions of dollars, as we're finding doges finding.
That if you didn't spend the money, nobody would even know other than the people who are involved in the graft and the waste, fraud, and abuse.
steve bannon
So here's the thing.
Secretary Besant basically became Secretary of Treasury and got President Trump to buy into taking deficit as a percentage of GDP from 6.5% to 7%, which is unsustainable, down to 3.5%.
Your program, the five and a half to six and a half pre-pandemic, I take the midpoint, six trillion, given the revenue side, we're 500, we're within, we're as close to the three and a half in year one.
How, given that that's the mandate of the president, that this, you're showing you don't touch any of these core programs, when you go up in the Senate and talk about it, after writing these great pieces in the Wall Street Journal, Why is Thun not embracing you?
Why are others not embracing?
Say, yes, this is our way out.
Given this fiasco we're just seeing right now in the House, sir.
ron johnson
Because it's hard.
Because they're used to doing it a different way, which is take a look at all these programs and say, well, we can't touch that one or that one or that one or that one.
Well, this one we can tweak a little bit.
Probably won't be politically painful.
We'll get a quick CBO score.
We'll push through a budget resolution, which is the easy thing to do.
Tell people, okay, we'll cut $1.5 trillion.
Sounds like a lot.
And tell members, that's just a minimum.
We'll cut a whole lot more.
So you jam that thing through.
And then you string everybody, people like me, along.
Bring it up to the breaking point where we're going to default on the debt or we're going to have an automatic tax increase, which, by the way, was a real blunder of the 2017 tax law.
We ought to learn that lesson.
Here we are again.
We're going to have temporary tax relief.
Again, it doesn't make any sense.
But again, that's the process that I was used to.
But what I wrote in the Wall Street Journal piece, the $1.5 trillion, I mean, that's just paltry.
It's meager.
We expect to spend more than $89 trillion over the next 10 years.
$1.5 billion reduced by the $340 billion addition we're spending on defense and border security, that leaves us less than $1.2 billion, which is 1.3%.
Of that $89 trillion, I mean, it's a rounding error.
And if you had a principle, a primary goal of budget reconciliation when we're $37 trillion in debt on a path to be $59 trillion in 10 years, at a minimum, you'd say, well, whatever we do here, we're not going to increase the deficit, okay, guys?
Let's make sure we're at least shrinking, that we're bending down that curve.
As you said, I've got my figures.
I figure it's probably about $4 trillion.
Again, nobody can really understand the economic impact if the tax cuts expire, which, by the way, I don't want them to.
So I proposed a three-step process, and we should have done this immediately.
We could have two of the steps out of the way.
First step, provide the border security.
You've got to do the fence to satisfy people.
And in that Senate resolution, we would have already banked $850 billion of real spending.
That's more than half of the $1.5 trillion.
We could already have that done.
Then the second reconciliation bill, I just extend the current tax code.
I hate it.
It's complex.
It needs to be simplified.
It needs to be rationalized.
But take the automatic tax increase that we stupidly set up in the Tax Cut and Jobs Act.
Take that off the table.
And then let's get down to do the work.
Let's take the months to simplify and rationalize our tax code.
Let's discuss all these things.
There will be legitimate disagreements on this, but let's take the time, and in particular, let's take the time to go line by line by line of all these budget items.
The $7,000 billion we're going to spend, I have to believe, in $7,000 billion when we were just $4.4 trillion, $4,400 billion six years ago.
I mean, that's a massive increase.
It's unprecedented other than World War II, which, by the way, in World War II, we started the war at 11.7% of spending, went up to 41%.
But Truman and Congress were more responsible back then.
By the end of 1948, we were back to 11.4% government spending of GDP.
So it's entirely doable.
A pre-pandemic level spending is entirely doable.
But you have to do the work.
You have to take the time.
And right now we're just being jammed, which is why I'm laying out all these columns saying, guys, don't expect my support for this.
I've been very upfront.
I want to see President Trump succeed.
He's doing so many wonderful things.
By the way, that speech, and I haven't heard the whole thing.
I heard clips on a radio program.
Brilliant.
It's exactly the kind of approach we need in terms of foreign policy.
Let people develop in their cultures.
We want to help them succeed.
We want to stay out of wars.
steve bannon
I want to go – the debt ceiling, they're requiring – they're asking for $4 trillion, but if you just do the math, we're going to be over $2 trillion this fiscal year because we didn't have the courage to actually get in the back of the CR and throw Biden's thing out and do the work.
So now we're going to be over $2 trillion on September 30th.
As I look at everything associated with the big, beautiful bill and not getting some taxes up here – On the wealthy and not having more pay-fors, no real cuts to government spending, you're going to be two, two and a half trillion minimum in fiscal year '26.
My math shows that if you pass, if we get the $4 trillion debt relief by Labor Day of '26, they want it to go to after the election, but I think you've blown through the debt ceiling by Labor Day.
How can your colleagues in the Senate, who are pretty smart guys and gals, how can they just avoid?
This is just basic mathematics.
How can people look the other way, sir?
ron johnson
They're just all whistling by the graveyard.
I mean, they literally are focusing on leaves and twigs and completely missing the forest.
And that was the whole point of my Wall Street Journal column, is to make people look at the forest, the overall macro numbers.
But again, this is where I completely disagree with the president.
He just wants to do away with the debt ceiling, because it's an ugly debate.
I get that.
It's the only leverage we have.
So one of the things, I would vote for an increase in the debt ceiling.
As much as I've never done that, I hate doing it, but I'll give them a short-term one to the end of this year to give us time to do this.
That alone would probably be $2.5 trillion because you have to replenish the extraordinary measures.
And again, we're running a burn rate right now about a half a trillion dollars a quarter.
Hopefully just that, to increase the debt ceiling by $2.5 trillion because what we've been doing in these deals is just suspending it.
I mean, isn't that easy?
We just pass an omnibus spending bill and we just magically suspend the debt ceiling.
As a result, we take any leverage to force fiscal sanity and fiscal discipline on the process.
So again, I ran in 2010 because we were more than your kids' future.
$14 trillion in debt then.
Now it's $37 trillion.
This is going to blow up in our face.
As Elon Musk said, and by the way, to have you listeners go to my X page, I've got a great video.
It's one and a half minutes long.
All of the leaders, including President Trump, saying we don't have a revenue problem.
We have a spending problem.
At the end of the video, I asked, so are we willing to fix it?
Right now, it doesn't look like we are.
steve bannon
We'll push it out.
I take it right now, I know you've got to bounce, but I take it you're telling us what you're seeing coming out of the House, you're giving people a heads up.
Right now, you're a hard no, I take it?
ron johnson
Yeah, we can't increase the deficit in this process, and that's what we're going to do.
Now, people argue, yeah, but if we just let the tax increase go through, which I do not want to do, I would vote for that alone, just extend that.
But if we do that, we're for sure increasing the deficit, and that ought to be the first goal.
Again, in business, you actually establish principles and goals for what you're trying to move forward.
Right now, just passing one big, beautiful bill, that's...
It's not a goal.
It's not establishing the principles, and I would argue we need to establish principles.
Don't increase the deficit.
Anything we do should be promoting growth in terms of what taxes are, and we have to tax spending.
If you want to defeat the deep state, and I think that's the primary reason most people voted for Trump, they want to defeat the deep state, quit funding it.
Don't fund it.
I'm happy to get more revenue by economic growth, not by increasing taxes.
Quite honestly, I don't want tariff revenue to fund a massive deep state.
I want to reduce the deep state.
That's got to be our number one emphasis, spending, spending, spending, and we're giving it short-stripped.
As much as all these leaders, including President Trump, Vice President Vance, all these guys.
Whenever we have a new problem, we have a spending problem.
They're giving pretty much short shrift to the spending side of that equation and just focusing on more tax cuts, quite honestly, to expand our deficit.
steve bannon
Senator, we've got about 30 seconds.
Where do they go for your Twitter feed to get up to this?
We're going to push it all out.
Where do folks go?
ron johnson
We'll just add send Ron Johnson on Twitter.
We're pretty easy to find.
You know that.
steve bannon
Thank you, sir.
By the way, you have not changed.
You've been a hammer on this from the beginning, and you're taking a very principled stand.
This is going to get quite ugly, folks.
It's going to get quite ugly because somebody's got to address this thing.
The debt and deficits are exploding out of control.
The capital market is not going to be able to handle it.
That's why the 10-year Treasury is at 4.5%.
10 years at 4.5.
Senator Johnson, thank you so much for joining us in the boardroom.
Appreciate you.
Short break.
back in a moment.
unidentified
Let's take down the CCB.
Day of all...

Long way to go.

mike lindell
Well, we hope that she gets out soon.
I know that the administration is doing as much as they can, and they're on it.
They're on it, Steve.
I believe it's going to happen.
The president wants her out, and he wants her out soon.
We have a big case coming up.
My case, which is on June 2nd, which is also in Colorado.
I believe in the same town.
I guess we're in a federal courtroom.
Both of them tie together.
This is all the lawfare that's been done against Tina, myself.
You know, she's in prison, so it's a lot worse than losing all your assets and the attacks that I've endured.
But this will be a very important case on June 2nd.
I believe it's going to be the gateway to the...
To the truth being revealed out there, and that we end up getting to securing our election platforms.
That's what Tina stood for, and that's what I've stood for in many people in this country, and using lawfare against our citizens and weaponizing the FBI against our citizens, which they did in Colorado.
They did it with me with a cell phone and a party's drive-thru, and they did it with Tina.
The most extreme ways you could ever do it against a person.
What the judge did to her was they should be basically pure hate.
So we've been praying for her, but we're doing everything we can to get her out.
steve bannon
How do you expect to get a fair trial in Colorado?
There's so many great people out there, but with a federal jury being able to cherry pick, how do you guys expect to get a fair trial out there?
mike lindell
Well, Stephen, this is also the trial where I told off the lawyers in the deposition and also where I had problems with the judge, and I made that very public.
This is a jury trial, so I really believe that, you know, you're just looking for people with common sense.
And, you know, I go anywhere in this country.
I went to the heart of Chicago, and I think it's the people.
If you get people that are just people and not...
I'm brainwashed or politicized, and I think we'll be fine.
I'm looking forward to it just because I want to get the word out.
Everyone Steve has settled over the last four years.
You know, with Lawfare, these companies sued over 75 individuals and platforms and networks.
Every one of them up till now has settled because their insurance companies told them to settle or they were afraid of being just wiped off the face of the earth with a tax every day.
I didn't settle.
I will never settle.
And so we'll just have to pray and see what it is.
That's going to be all the...
If we get a fair trial, if we don't, it's, God willing, I think the jury is, you know, there's 12 jurors, and I've done nothing wrong other than try and secure our elections, and the truth will set you free.
And God willing, this will open up a lot of doors that no man can shut.
steve bannon
Okay, do me a favor.
