We know that the most consequential relationship in the world is between the US and China.
U.S. 28% of the global economy, China close to 20%.
That's almost half of the global GDP. And we know that you called President Xi Jinping last Friday.
We heard that you had a good discussion.
How do you see the relationship between the U.S. and China in the next four years under your leadership?
donald j trump
He called me.
But I see it very good.
I think that we're going to have a very good relationship.
All we want is fairness.
We just want a level playing field.
We don't want to take advantage.
We've been having massive deficits with China.
Biden allowed it to get out of hand.
His $1.1 trillion deficit is ridiculous.
And it's just an unfair relationship.
And we have to make it just fair.
We don't have to make it phenomenal.
We have to make it a fair relationship.
Right now, it's not a fair relationship.
The deficit is massive, as it is with other countries, a lot of Asian countries, actually.
But we have deficits that are very big, and we can't...
Keep doing that.
So we're not going to keep doing that.
But I like President Xi very much.
I've always liked him.
We always had a very good relationship.
It was very strained with COVID coming out of Wuhan.
Obviously, that strained it.
I'm sure it strained it with a lot of people.
That strained our relationship.
But we always had a great relationship, I would say, and we look forward to doing very well with China and getting along with China.
Hopefully China can help us stop the war with, in particular, Russia-Ukraine.
They have a great deal of power over that.
steve bannon
Captain Jim Fennell joins me, one of the world's leading experts in all things CCP. In fact, he gave up his career.
To warn the American people when he's head of intelligence for the Pacific Fleet, back on the Obama administration, wrote a book with the great Dr. Bradley Thayer called Embracing Communist China about the elites for decades and decades and decades actually making a business deal with the CCP that brought him up to the forefront.
So now that 48% of global GDP just...
Imagine that, folks.
48% of global GDP between two nations, China and the United States.
Now, as part of that GDP, we're running massive, massive trade deficits, and they've only gotten worse since President Trump left office.
So, Fennell, for full disclosure, Captain Fennell, Steve Bannon, and others in the Committee on the Present Danger, we call ourselves maybe the dead-enders.
In Josh Rogan's book, they said, look, you have hardliners.
You have people that want to figure out the relationship, you know, the city's trapped crowd, and you've got accommodationists on Wall Street.
But then they've got this new breed of cat that's called the Superhawks, and that's Bannon and Navarro.
And it's guys like—and it said they questioned the even legitimacy of the CCP to be the dictators that are crushing Lao Bajang.
Now, President Trump has a different—he has a more complicated job than we have, Jim.
So I want you to give your overall assessment as an expert and dedicated as I am to support Lao Bajang to take down the CCP. President Trump's obviously got to worry, and he's quite worried about that relationship crabbing sideways.
You know, particularly in the Taiwan Straits and the South China Sea and ended up to a shooting war, which President Trump does not want.
He's a man of peace and prosperity.
So your assessment of his comments today, and you said this speech was as powerful as the Evil Empire speech in 1983 to set a framework for how one is to think through more clarity.
Did you feel that with President Trump's comments later in the question and answer about America's relationship with the Chinese Communist Party, sir?
jim fanell
Well, Steve, yeah, I mean, this terminology of super hawks, it's been frustrating in some sense.
And it's easy for folks that understand the true nature of the Chinese Communist Party and their ultimate goal, which is to destroy the United States.
Sometimes it's hard to sit back and hear nice comments about Xi and things of that nature.
But as you said, President Trump's got a much different job.
And as your previous segments were talking about the economic.
We have to be very careful.
So I think the tells for where President Trump's view of the CCP and Xi are at, when he made out in the very beginning there, he said, Xi called me.
And that's a very important point.
But he is the supplicant, not me.
Xi called me.
Now, maybe he was calling to congratulate him on his victory and whatnot, but it was Xi that called Trump, and Trump wanted to make sure we all knew that.
And that's something that's very important.
And then I think the second point was where he said that, you know, we've got this problem with the Ukraine-Russia war, and I talked to President Xi about it, and I need his help.
He's got some—he can do something about this.
So that's an admission right there that he holds Xi.
Accountable for the ongoing war.
Putin, obviously, but Xi is also involved with this.
They're an alliance, Putin and Xi.
In their alliance, you know, in 2022, they announced that alliance, and the No Limits Alliance.
And then the next year, Xi went to Moscow, and he was coming out of the Kremlin and shaking hands with Putin.
He said, hey, we're seeing changes, and we're driving the changes that haven't been seen in 100 years.
So they are driving this war.
Xi was probably involved in some form or fashion of helping Kim Jong-un get, you know, North Korean soldiers fighting and killing Ukrainians.
So this is a bad actor.
Trump knows that.
But he doesn't have to come out and say things like, maybe you or I. He knows it and he's working on it.
And that's why he said that he's trying to make things work in terms of reaching out and having a good relationship.
And, you know, the old saying, you know, you keep your friends close, but you keep your enemies closer.
And I think that's exactly what President Trump's doing.
Clearly, the people that he's put in his cabinet, you just see the statements from the new Secretary of State in the last 48 hours about what he's talking about, about the PRC and how we're going to deal with the PRC, meeting with Quad members, bringing in Pete Hegsitz and his comments about China.
It's clear, everybody that's coming in around him, that he's brought in.
He picked them.
These are people that are, you know, you can label them however you want, but you clearly call them hawks.
Trump will be the figurehead that will try to be the good cop and play the diplomacy, and that's good.
I mean, I listen to the China hands, you know, the so-called experts on China, and they're all freaking out right now, and they're thinking that Trump's an accommodationist to an autocrat in Beijing and Xi and all of that.
But it's funny, they never said anything when there was a conga line of Biden cabinet-level officials for two years that went to Beijing and kowtowed, literally.
Janet Yellen physically kowtowed in front of her PRC counterpart.
So they didn't have any problems with that then.
But now, just because President Trump is polite and respectful of a man who's got 20 percent of the world's GDP and a very big army and, oh, by the way, has built 350 nuclear ICBM silos.
In the last three years, and as President Trump said, hey, the Chinese are going to be able to catch up and equal our nuclear arsenal in the next four or five years.
That's shocking.
That should shock people, that they should hear that the Chinese Communist Party is going to have a nuclear arsenal that will rival ours within four or five years.
That's very serious.
And so you need a president that's not going to be flippant, is not going to be throwing jabs out there for no good reason.
He's got a plan, he's got a strategy, and he's got to deal with...
The PRC and the Chinese Communist Party.
Through economic means and economic levers that were talked about in that speech and in your previous segments with the experts that you had on, like Patrick.
And then you also have to deal with hard power issues that he's going to deal with as our economy gets stronger and we're able to bring manufacturing a military arsenal that needs to be designed and readapted from our 35 years of fighting wars in the Middle East to being able to address a naval power.
And we're going to go back.
To the Cold War, in a way, in terms of military-to-military confrontation, and we need to retool ourselves, because we don't have the Navy and the maritime forces that are necessary to be able to deal with an expansionist, hyper-expansionist Chinese Communist Party that's ultimately intent upon destroying us.
steve bannon
President Putt, I don't want to call them client states.
I call these the protectorates, the vassal states of Western Europe, the Gulf, where we've been locked in for, I don't know, 20 or 30 years.
But he told the EU today in Switzerland, told NATO, I believe that 5% of GDP is appropriate.
President Trump and I, I was kind of his lead guy on this for a while, to hammer these guys to get to 2%.
And they made the commitment in 2014 because of Ukraine.
Knowing they had their ideas of how they were going to try to force the issue with the Russians.
They've never hit the 2%, except for, I think, Poland and the UK. Poland all the time, UK every now and again.
President Trump's saying, you know, it's got to be 5%.
That was like a bomb that went off in Davos.
The economy's over there.
They would have to give up their full health care they give.
They have to give up the full pensions, the early retirement.
It would totally change the social structure.
But what he's saying is that the United States is not going to underwrite this anymore.
Your thoughts on that comment, which you could hear the air go out of the room when he said it, Captain Fennell.
jim fanell
Yeah, it was a big statement, and I think it's another indicator of where...
The seriousness of President Trump is with respect to this no limits alliance between Russia and China.
He understands that, you know, 2% couldn't even cut it to help defend the Ukraine against, you know, Russia.
And now you have the Chinese threatening and doing things.
In the last two years, you've had Chinese merchant ships ripping up telecommunications cables and things of that nature in the Baltic.
In 2016, 2015, 2017, Chinese Navy warships in the Baltic exercising with the Russian Navy.
So we have an alliance between these two authoritarian nations, and President Trump understands that.
And the Europeans have to step up and do their more—they have to do what it takes to deter Putin from ever doing anything like this again.
We can't afford to have a couple million people die.
We can't afford to have our economies destroyed.
We can't afford to have our strategic arsenals depleted, our strategic petroleum reserves We can't afford all of that because the Europeans won't stand up and do their fair share.
And they don't want to talk about China in any way, shape or form.
In fact, the Washington Post just came out this week and said, you know, hey, the Russians, we're not sure they're even responsible for some of this cable activity in the Baltic.
So there is a tendency in Brussels and in Washington with the establishment, the deep state, that they don't want to admit that they have to pay for their security.
And President Trump has said, no, you're going to have to pay for your security.
And as you said, we're not going to free ride them anymore because we got to get prepared and be able to deter the PRC from the disaster that they can inflict on America's national security in the Indo-Pacific.
And that's a real concern.
steve bannon
Captain Fennell, I know you don't use social media, but you can go to Dr. Bradley Thayer, your co-authors of a book from War Room Publishing, our imprint over with Sky Horse, Embracing Communist China.
I want to thank you for coming.
Your columns are up in American and Greatness, and where else, where can people get it?
I think you guys write a weekly column.
Where do people get it?
jim fanell
We do a weekly column for American Greatness.
We'll have one coming out here over the weekend.
Typically comes out on Sunday.
And this one is, again, about what the Chinese and the Russians are doing, collaborating against NATO's northern tier in the Baltic and what that means for America's national security.
steve bannon
The new great game, the northern tier up in the Baltic in the Arctic.
Maybe talk about that next week.
Captain Fennell, thank you.
Thank you for staying up tonight so late.
Appreciate you.
jim fanell
Thank you, Steve.
steve bannon
From the snowy mountains of Davos to the cold streets of Chicago, our own Ben Berquam joins us with Terry Newsom.
Ben, talk to me.
Update on the—are we doing raids now?
Are we kicking down doors and sending bad guys out of this country?
ben bergquam
Well, again, what we're hearing is pretty close to the vest of what we're seeing.
We're seeing reports of it all over the city on social media.
What it looks like to me is that that's kind of ongoing raids that ICE has already been doing.
But we are in contact with folks in ICE and getting updates as that happens.
So the bottom line is they're coming, they're happening, they're coming, and they're only going to get more frequent.
But we did just get some breaking news.
This just came across.
I think we have it there in Denver as well.
unidentified
Terry, I'll let you tell about Pritzker, his order. - Yeah, he put out an order to the Illinois Department of Corrections for the state level prisons to not release any of the inmates to ICE.
Yeah, it just came out a couple days ago.
And just like Cook County, he's gonna try to control everything and do everything in his power to defend these criminals and Venezuelans in Trendilagua. - So let me get this right.
steve bannon
By the way, a judge just said that President Trump's I just want to go back.
Terry.
Are you telling me that the President of the United States authorizes, signs executive orders and executive actions and informs ICE to enforce federal immigration law, and we have a governor who's sitting there going, you can't go into jails, you can't go into prisons, and you can't take any of the illegal alien criminal element out of the state prisons and put them on a plane and get them the hell out of the United States?
Is that what Pritzker's telling the American people?
unidentified
Yeah.
Yeah, that's exactly what he's doing.
And any law enforcement that gets in trouble within Illinois collaborates with ICE, they can be held accountable by Pritzker and state law.
So, Ben, there's a whole series...
steve bannon
Yeah, go ahead.
Go ahead, Terry.
unidentified
I was going to say what's ironic is 100 years ago here in Chicago, we became internationally famous because of the St. Valentine's Day massacre.
Seven people shot just two months ago.
Two months ago, where Ben and I are going next, there was eight people mass shooting.
Four men were killed, four women, Trent Largo.
Five days later, in Cicero, Illinois, police officers shot in the back.
Two days after that, four more people were shot, two men and two women, in their vehicles.
So within less than a week, we had two mass shootings, and a police officer shot in the back, here in the city of Chicago.
ben bergquam
And those guys, ICE can't go in and get.
steve bannon
Well, Ben, tell me, you know that ICE, this is, okay, let's be blunt and lay all the cards on the table.
Homan and Miller are telling the president that if we want to put this throughout the nation, we've already got Eric Adams surrendering, you've already got L.A. surrendering, you've got San Francisco.
Denver and Chicago are the two mayors that are going to stand up and try to throw down on this.
And Pritzker's going to try to run the president on this.
You know that Homan...
And Miller have a lot planned for Chicago.
So tell me who's going to win this.
This is the whole concept of sanctuary cities, right?
This is the whole concept that a local politician can't override federal law when it comes to immigration laws.
So tell me what's going to happen.
Play this out for me.
ben bergquam
Well, immediately, so this is, I would say one of the things I think didn't happen in the first administration, I think has to happen immediately in this administration, is the funding for these sanctuary cities and sanctuary jurisdictions has to go away immediately.
That should be number one.
If Chicago receives federal funding, that should go away.
If Illinois receives federal funding, that should go away.
Anyone who stands in the way of the federal government doing its job to protect the citizens and uphold its oath to the Constitution, that should go away.
The other side of that is, Tom Homan has already said this, that they will arrest.
If you're a politician, if you are somebody in Government and you are standing in the way of Immigration and Customs Protection doing their job, they are going to arrest you.
Now, if those two things, if both of those things happen, these guys are going to cave faster than you could ever imagine.
unidentified
Pritzker and Johnson are not men of courage, right?
They're going to be shouting and barking.
steve bannon
But hang on.
They're only going to cave if one thing happens.
And Terry, you've got the answer to this.
They're only going to cave.
If the citizens of Chicago back President Trump, this is going to come down to, you know, if the citizens of Chicago rally around Johnson and rally around Pritzker, this is going to make it immeasurably harder.
So where right now, particularly the African-American, the black, and the Hispanic community, when they start coming in to take out these criminal illegal aliens out of the jails, out of the prisons, what side are those folks going to come down on?
unidentified
They're going to come out on our side because the media is so strong on the left.
Your show and other shows, right, have to rally these people behind home.
And I already told Tom, we need to get all these.
I'm talking to more Democrats than anybody else.
Honestly, I don't care about the Republicans in Illinois.
They're not even really Republicans.
It's more important is having the Democrats, the pastors, the African-Americans, union leaders.
Police officers, they have to be careful about their jobs within the city of Chicago.
We have to have these types of people surround Holman and say, we're supporting you.
I don't care what the WGN News says or what Pritzker says.
They're all liars.
The people of the Chicagoland area, the Hispanics, minorities, Democrats, Republicans, Independents, want them here.
They want this to be done, including Hispanic in this neighborhood as well.
steve bannon
The Chicago Sun-Times, the Chicago Tribune, WGN, all the big TV stations, when you look at their coverage, what are they telling the population?
unidentified
Well, they're not telling the truth.
It's funny, when I was just talking about the Okra police officer who got the chief of police, Fort Trendelarga, he reached out to the local media.
They didn't even get back to him.
Fox Chicago did cover it.
So they're doing everything to hide this, right?
They're doing everything to hide it, and they're going to point out the negatives.
They're going to show moms and babies crying, but they're not going to show the Trendelago and the tattooed-up guys, you know, the guys that are killing people as they get dragged out of the city of Chicago.
It's people like yourselves and others that have to show that, and it's on us to show Holman and Trump that we are supporting them to overcome the BS that's going to be shown.
100%.
steve bannon
Ben Berquam, how intense is this going to get?
ben bergquam
Oh, it's going to be ugly, Steve.
I mean, this is, so just think back to the first four years of President Trump when we had BLM and Antifa burning down America.
Now you've got BLM, Antifa, Hamas, and 15 million illegals.
And every single illegal that the, as Terry was saying, well, just to give you an example, we were just down, we just posted the video, we confronted Pritzker, Governor Pritzker, and...
Mayor Johnson today, earlier today, and we were told by the local media our stuff wouldn't air.
We were told that they're going to air what they were there for, but our stuff actually confronting him and calling these guys out.
The mainstream media was not going to air it.
Now, we'll wait and see if it does tonight, any of it airs, but as far as I know, none of that has aired.
It is absolutely up to the people here, the citizens here, but just...
Be prepared.
These guys are already working on it.
The leftist communist churches, all of these organizations that are funded by illegal immigration, they're already working on their plans to undermine President Trump, to take every sob story that they possibly can, to run it to the mainstream media.
And really, it's what we're seeing now.
They're shutting down schools.
They're telling kids not to come to school because they're going to get picked up by Tom Homan and President Trump.
All of that's already happening.
That's why it's so critical.
But that's the big difference this time around, Steve.
We exist.
We didn't have this.
We didn't have this ecosystem of conservative media to counteract the lies of the left in the first four years.
We have that now, and it's a part of us, the media doing our job, the real media, and the people doing their job to counteract those lies.
steve bannon
Terry, where do people follow you on social media?
This is a showdown in Chicago, and Chicago is a city of big shoulders.
They're going to have to hold up a lot because this is a showdown between President Donald J. Trump and his people.
Tom Homan, the head of the deportation of Borders Law.
Stephen Miller, head of all policy and a specialist in this area.
A radical mayor, Johnson, of the great city of Chicago, has said this is a sanctuary city.
He's going to stay as a sanctuary city.
And a billionaire, multi-billionaire, never had a job in his life, Governor Pritzker, who's running...
For the Democratic primary and President of the United States and wants to make a showdown, and he doesn't care who gets destroyed in the process.
So, Terry, this is going to be one the nation's going to be focused on.
Where do people follow you?
unidentified
Yeah, an ex at Terry Newsome 357 or a rumble behind enemy lines.
And by the way, Pritzker today announced that Janoulias, his buddy Janoulias, Secretary of State, will be the next governor of Illinois.
It was announced on Twitter before I came out here, I saw.
So he's already announced his buddy's going to run for his spot.
steve bannon
Wow.
Unbelievable.
Ben Berquam, where do people go?
ben bergquam
At Ben Berquam, B-E-N-B-E-R-G-Q-U-A-M. I've got videos we haven't posted yet.
We'll be getting those out later today.
At Ben Berquam.
Stay tuned for much more, Steve.
This is just beginning, as you said.
steve bannon
We'll get Ben's.
We'll put Ben's up there.
So the three lines of work that happened today, the three lines of work that happened today, that would be the war.
Remember, the beginning of the Third World War, the kinetic part of the Third World War, Ukraine and the Middle East.
You then got the second avenue, which we talk is the deportation and the immigration and all of that.
And then you've got the financial and the capital markets.
It all came today.
Kind of to a head, President Trump made a magnificent speech in Davos, and in that speech kind of laid out his economic plan, laid out about trade and tariffs, kind of didn't confront the Chinese Communist Party, say, hey, he's hoping to make it work, hopes it works.
He threw down against the globalists.
Talked about the economic—the supply-side growth policies he's going to put in to grow our way out of this kind of financial and economic crisis.
He also talked about Ukraine, said NATO's got to step up to 5 percent.
And I think he's sending a signal, which I appreciate, since we're saying, hey, President Trump, you can't put any money into any security guarantee.
We've already put enough money in Ukraine, and we can't put any troops.
And I think he put NATO on notice saying, hey, guess what?
I think your number's got to be 5 percent now.
I think that's an indication.
And then you've seen in the streets of Chicago, Ben Burquam, Terry Newsom out there, and it is a showdown already.
The governor of the state and the mayor have essentially said that federal law enforcement officers about immigration, ICE, the unit that actually takes people out and deports them if they're here illegally.
And remember, this is the low-hanging fruit.
These are not hard calls.
They're not going in to take out families.
You're going to see all that, what I call deportation porn is all to come.
Right now, this is the easiest one.
These are hardened criminals in city jails and state prisons.
They're already moving in federal prisons right now to remove these bad hombres.
So this is what you're seeing.
And it's total and complete resistance.
I say total and complete resistance.
I mean total and complete.
The governor said you're not setting a foot in here.
The mayor says you're not setting a foot in here.
They're teeing up a showdown.
They should understand, like the Ukrainians should understand, the Russians should understand, the people in Davis understand.
President Trump's not in a mood to back down.
He just had the greatest political comeback in the history of not this nation, but all nations.
He's not going to back down on any of these.
He's just not.
So, stay tuned for Chicago.
Tomorrow, Ben will still be out there.
We're going to get live reports.
Also, President Trump is going to stop where Ben was last week in North Carolina to meet all the great patriots out there.
They're freezing.
As President Trump says, hey, maybe FEMA ought to be broken up and I give it back to the states and it just funds that way because the federal emergency management has been a total and complete disaster.
We're going to take a short commercial break.
Remember, Birch Gold.
You can see from this discussion in Davos, you can see from the bond market, the 10-year treasury, turbulence ahead.
Fasten your seatbelt.
But get prepared.
Be prepared.
Go find out about gold.
Find out about precious metals as an alternative, as a hedge.
Do it today.
Birchgold.com slash Bannon or Bannon at 989898. Joe Allen, Dave Walsh, join me.
We take a short commercial break.
donald j trump
It's my honor to welcome three of the world's leading technology CEOs and but to announce the largest AI infrastructure project by far in history.
And it's all taking place right here in America announcing the formation of Stargate.
So put that name down in your books, because I think you're going to hear a lot about it.
unidentified
This is not just for business.
As Raleigh said, this will help.
People's life.
This will help solving many, many issues, difficult things that otherwise we could not have solved with the power of AI. I think AGI is coming very, very soon.
And after that, that's not the goal.
After that, artificial superintelligence will come to solve the issues that mankind would Never, ever have thought that we could solve.
sam altman
I think it'll be an exciting project.
I think we'll be able to do all of the wonderful things that these guys talked about.
But the fact that we get to do this in the United States is, I think, wonderful.
So thank you very much.
unidentified
One of the most exciting things we're working on, again, using the tools that Sam and Masa are providing, is a cancer vaccine.
And using AI to look at the blood test, you can find the cancers that are actually seriously threatening the person.
Again, cancer diagnosis using AI has the promise of just being a simple blood test.
Then beyond that, once we gene sequence that cancer tumor, you can then vaccinate the person.
Design a vaccine for every individual person to vaccinate them against that cancer.
And you can make that vaccine, that mRNA vaccine, you can make that robotically again using AI in about 48 hours.
steve bannon
Okay, Joe Allen.
So Joe, what's your beef?
This is the future.
They're curing cancer.
They're solving problems.
What are you whining about?
unidentified
So you've got a big, brutal piece up in your substack.
steve bannon
What's your issue here?
What are you whining and bitching about?
I just saw the future.
And it is vaccines, artificial intelligence, new stuff going through my system.
That's the future, man.
Mr. Goetz, it's like Chinatown.
Mr. Goetz, that's the future.
joe allen
Well, next will be the godlike artificial intelligence and a brain chip to connect you to it.
It's really going to be amazing.
You know, Steve, on a personal level, I've made it pretty clear.
I really do not want to see any of this happen, but...
On a practical level, the problem is the recklessness with which this is being approached and rolled out.
You hear a lot of talk about AI safety.
You hear a lot of talk about the people who are creating it, trying to embed guardrails to make sure that no harm is done.
But by and large...
What we're seeing is a push towards accelerationism.
That's the dominant voice.
And again, I want to reiterate what I said yesterday.
My appreciation for everything Trump is doing is deep.
As I told you, I have a good friend who is not going to be spending time in prison because of his pardons and everything from the border on and on.
But the other reality is he has a lot of accelerationists.
Very close to him, who are advising him.
David Sachs is somewhere in between.
Elon Musk kind of projects a restraint, but in general, his vision of the world is everything that all of the transhumanists we've spoken about over the years, he shares that.
steve bannon
When you say recklessness, get our audience up to speak on nomenclature.
It's very important here.
Accelerationist.
Normally that was thrown against the right.
Accelerationists were the oath keepers and the proud boys and others that were trying to accelerate to some sort of civil war.
In the concept of the singularity, it means something quite different.
What is that, sir?
joe allen
In a nutshell, it simply means to push forward technological development as fast as possible, to move fast and break things, as they used to say in Silicon Valley.
People have had this misconception for a long time, and I've tried my best to battle against it.
This misconception that...
Transhumanism or tech accelerationism, human-AI symbiosis, brain chips, robots everywhere, people trapped in their autonomous vehicles and getting rolled off cliffs, that all of this is some kind of globalist, Davos-based, left-wing movement.
I've insisted for years that it is not, and we're seeing the fruits of that now.
People like Peter Thiel, people like Marc Andreessen.
In some ways, again, people like Elon Musk and an entire subculture of what generally you would classify as like right-wing people, people who are on most issues on our side of the aisle.
But when it comes to technology, they want the brain chips.
They are rushing headlong towards it.
And to the extent that they're not restrained or to the extent that we don't have the ability to push it back, They're pushing this on us.
Two examples, as they push artificial intelligence into education, from Harvard all the way down to Louisiana, all the way over to Africa, what you'll have is children who are dependent upon machines for their cognitive abilities.
Children who basically use ChatGPT to cheat on everything, to cheat on life, and that ain't going to cut it in the long run.
And just to bring up one other, a second one that I think is going to be really, really important going forward.
In policing and in warfare, to the extent that artificial intelligence is used to identify undesirable behaviors, undesirable ideas, and to suppress them, and then of course, in the case of warfare, undesirable people and eliminate them.
Yes, if it's under the control of just, wise people, this is good, in a sense.
But it's so rife, or so open to the possibility of abuse and ultimately horror.
So it's not like these guys talk as if this is about freedom.
And in a sense, it is.
Transhumanists always talk about morphological freedom.
It's my body.
It's my brain.
I can do with it what I want.
Okay, fine.
But as this begins to spread across society, it becomes an imposition.
It becomes a very dangerous imposition.
And the piece that I wrote, The Stargate is Open, it's about this Stargate project.
It's about the people involved, Larry Ellison, Masayoshi-san, and Sam Altman.
But it's also looking at Elon Musk as he's sparring back and forth with Sam Altman in some kind of self-righteous manner.
I'm just pointing out that these guys basically share the view that human beings are a kind of bootloader to...
Artificial superintelligence.
And at the moment, as far as I can see, these squabbles are about who gets to put the trademark on that future.
It's not hopeless, but people have to understand what's happening, and they have to basically put up, in a sense, their psychic shields, their cultural barriers.
And most importantly, people have to fight for their own humanity.
They have to make themselves excellent.
They have to make the next generation of children.
Excellent.
And hopefully, my hope, Steve, direct the hope for the future away from the machines and at the very least towards humans, but ultimately my own preference towards the divine.
steve bannon
Joe, I need everybody to read this tonight.
We'll have you back on tomorrow.
Where do people go overnight?
Where do they go right now to get all this work, and particularly this latest substack you've got?
Because we need people to read it, and I want to go back to it tomorrow.
Maybe get Noor on here, too.
It's too important.
joe allen
You can find it at my social media, top of the page, at J-O-E-B-O-T-X-Y-Z, JoeBotXYZ, social media, or my site, JoeBot.X-Y-Z. Thank you, brother.
steve bannon
Appreciate you.
joe allen
Thank you very much, Steve.
steve bannon
There's been two parts of this fight.
Another part is about Elon Musk talking about it.
Number one, our audience and, of course, our professionals have a huge problem with Stargate.
A lot of issues.
We're going to get into that.
But let's play the Dasher Burns.
Dasher, the White House bureau chief at Politico now, on CNN earlier today.
kaitlan collins
We were just talking a few moments ago about this split happening with Elon Musk and pouring cold water on this huge announcement that Trump made yesterday saying it's not all it's cracked up to be, which is a pretty remarkable thing to do after the president touted this.
unidentified
Steve Bannon is someone who has been kind of beating the drum on Elon Musk.
Very publicly.
He's saying he wasn't going to have a seat at the table.
He very much, I mean, he has a White House office on the ground.
Yeah.
What is he saying about this latest turn?
Well, I think there are still a lot of questions about how much access Musk ultimately has and how long that lasts given Trump's propensity he loves.
Mega wealthy men, but he also loves the spotlight to himself, and Elon can, you know, tussle with that.
Yeah, I spent about 15 minutes on the phone with Bannon today.
The entire time he was railing against Musk's action, saying it's like action I've never seen in my entire life.
Someone who has a mandate for a specific topic, Doge, of course, the Department of Government Efficiency, somebody...
Going and undermining Trump on another topic.
He feels like he's brought personal vendettas into the White House.
And he called on the chief of staff, who's Susie Wiles, of course, to sit him down and take care of it.
He wants Susie Wiles to sit Elon Musk down.
He says it's not a job for the president or for VP J.D. Vance.
Susie needs to sit him down and give him a talking to.
We'll see if that happens.
steve bannon
The mandate is huge.
I mean, Doge, we need Doge.
And I've been the biggest supporter of Elon being involved in this.
I think it's perfect with Russ Vogt.
We're not going to do another CR. We have 57 days, I think it is, to get a budget.
And Doge has to be a part of that.
We need to see the trillion dollars in cuts.
You don't have time to kind of burn daylight here.
And he needs to stay in his lane.
His lane's a superhighway.
It doesn't deal with investments in the United States.
President Trump can handle that.
What you need to do is talk about the deconstruction of the administrative state in massive spending cuts.
That's what we need to talk about.
It's got to happen now.
President Trump's economic policies you saw in Davos Day is predicated upon full-spectrum energy dominance.
Let's hear this cut.
I've got Dave Walsh to explain it all to us.
donald j trump
And the big problem is we need double the energy we currently have in the United States.
Can you imagine for AI to really be as big as...
We want to have it because it's very competitive.
It'll be very competitive with China and others.
So I'm going to give emergency declarations so that they can start building them almost immediately.
And I think it was largely my idea because nobody thought this was possible.
It wasn't that they were not smart because they're the smartest.
But I told them that what I want you to do is build your electric generating plant right next to your plant.
There's a separate building connected.
And they said, wow, you're kidding.
And I said, no, no, I'm not kidding.
You don't have to hook into the grid, which is old and, you know, could be taken out.
If it's taken out, they wouldn't have any way to get any electricity.
So we are going to allow them to go on a very rapid basis to build their plant, build the electric generating plant.
They can fuel it with anything they want, and they may have coal as a backup.
Good, clean coal.
You know, if there were a problem with a pipe coming in, as an example, you're going with gas, oil and gas, and a pipe gets blown up or for some reason doesn't work, there are some companies in the U.S. that have coal sitting right by the plant so that if there's an emergency, they can go to that short-term basis and use our very clean coal.
So that's something else that a lot of people didn't even know about.
Nothing can destroy calls, not the weather, not a bomb, nothing.
unidentified
It might make it a little smaller, might make it a little different.
steve bannon
Dave Walsh, now this gets to a bigger issue.
I will deal with this tomorrow, is that data, these are data centers.
This data takes 5x energy as it takes to kind of, you know, heat and electricity for humans, which we don't even have.
This is the whole question about this entire thing.
This is data, so data intensive, and it's so energy intensive.
Dave Walsh, make it make sense to me, brother.
unidentified
Well, it is.
dave walsh
Great remarks today by President Trump summarizing exactly the nexus between energy and any possibility of economic growth.
unidentified
You don't have one without the other.
He's laid that out very clearly for a bunch of elites who have been pandering the precise opposite of that for Western Europe and the U.S. Yeah, and the fact that he's kind of arguing without saying it directly, utilities are becoming a little bit antiquated in respect to adding nothing but part-time power, not enough of it.
A major industrial, aka even a data center, a service center, AI, need to have their own generation to have reliable power.
That's a direct assault on utilities, and that's great because they've gone along with this building out of three to four hour, in the case of wind, only seven hour a day, electric generating capacity of wind and solar, battery storage two to three hours a day, way insufficient.
Therefore, major industrials like...
It has happened in the third world.
Unfortunately, for the moment we're in that space here, electrification-wise, you need to have your own capacity to support a gigawatt a year to support a server or data center for AI. He's nailed it.
That's a direct assault on what the utilities have done to us.
steve bannon
Dave, he told the place where it generated, he says, I'm out of the Paris Climate Accord.
The Green New Deal is a scam.
I've stopped it all.
And then on top of it, they broke this morning $300 billion.
He's impounding not another penny in for any of Biden's Green New Deal payoffs to the venture capitalists and private equity.
What are your thoughts on that?
unidentified
It's tremendous.
dave walsh
If you talk about tax the rich, which the other guys are always all about, for heaven's sake, the IRA, what it has done is provide $42 billion a year in subsidies and tax credits to Constellation Energy, Dominion Energy, Florida Power and Light, Nibidrola, EDF, global companies who are here investing in solar farms and wind farms, BP, another one, Southern Company, Duke Energy.
unidentified
To go ahead and basically give the largest cap electrical generating firms in the world, utilities, gigantic tax credits and subsidies to foist on the public much, much more high-cost energy.
And his points on the need for this, there is an energy emergency here.
We have summer and winter reliability warnings now from NERC that indicate that half the U.S. population is not subjected to...
A higher potential of brownouts and blackouts because of the lack of electricity in the system from tearing down too much coal, tearing down too much nuclear, lack of electricity.
And then across MISO and PJM auctions for forward power, the prices are up three to ten times in next year's forward pricing auction of wholesale power because of the shortage of it due to the shutdown of so many coal and nuclear plants.
So he's nailed this.
This is a crisis.
It absolutely is an emergency.
And the kinds of steps being taken to double the electricity demand to facilitate industrial growth, aka through AI, completely necessary.
We can't have subsidized part-time energy resources going on.
He wants to crush that.
It's exactly the right policy to take.
steve bannon
Dave Walsh, where do people go to get to Dave Walsh?
We'll be back in the next Friday or Saturday to go through this in detail.
Full-spectrum energy dominance underpins an advanced industrial economy in the turnaround of the United States of America.
Dave Walsh has preached that gospel for years.
Now it's being implemented.
Where do they go, Dave?
unidentified

What a day.
Every day.
President Trump is everywhere doing it.
It's just amazing.
Executive orders, executive actions, pushing legislation, hiring people, getting people through confirmation hearings, initiating action, military to the border.
The military airlift command on standby to take out criminal aliens and send them back home.
Raids all over the country from Boston to California.
Foreign affairs dressing down the globalists in Davos with a magnificent speech.
Putting both Russia and Ukraine on notice.
We've got to sort this thing out.
It's not going to be more killing on his watch.
Talking to the Chinese to say, hey, look, let's get peace and prosperity.
Let's try to figure this thing out.
But also at the same time, saying today he's going to put a 10% tariff on China.
Action, action, action.
