| Caroline, Blinken yesterday said that this ceasefire proposal is overly generous from the Israeli government and it was kind of humiliating. | ||
| He begged Hamas to consider it. | ||
| Of course, a lot of people who are pro-Israel supporters and realize that this has really targeted the United States as kind of the New Jerusalem of the Judeo-Christian West hope That the Israeli government does not kowtow to Hamas, the Muslim Brotherhood franchisee in Gaza. | ||
| What's the latest update? | ||
| The latest update is that Prime Minister Netanyahu met today with members of forums of bereaved parents whose sons are soldiers who were killed during this war and with parents of | ||
| Hostages who refused to make a deal with Hamas and he met with both groups at the Prime Minister's office and he told them in uncertain terms that what we're doing now is evacuating the civilians from Rafah and that we will go in come hell or high water whether there's a hostage deal or not we're going into Rafah. | ||
| So we'll have to see whether that's true. | ||
| I know that the parents came out believing him because they had announced that they were going to start a hunger strike this morning demanding that we go into Rafa immediately. | ||
| And they decided to hold off on their hunger strike after meeting with Netanyahu and they felt that he had been telling them the truth and that they felt that they would give him the benefit of the doubt and that this is actually going to happen. | ||
| And the thing that you have to realize is that Netanyahu doesn't have a government anymore if he doesn't go into Rafa either because two of his most important coalition partners both said that they're going to leave the government if we don't achieve our war aims, if we decide not to carry out the mission to completion. | ||
| So yeah, I mean there's a lot riding on Rafa, not just... | ||
| Obviously winning the war, but also maintaining his grip on power. | ||
| So I think that all of those things together and the fact that he is personally committed to victory all speak to the fact that we will. | ||
| I mean, there's an extraordinary amount, an unprecedented amount of pressure being exerted against him personally and against the government and against Israel as a country by the United States, by the Biden administration, by the UN, by the International Criminal Court, by You know, various and sundry other actors, key actors in the region, including Egypt, which is threatening us. | ||
| And so, you know, there's a lot of pressure on Israel, an unprecedented amount of pressure to capitulate and not to win and to allow Hamas to win this war, which is very strangely, but very clearly the position of the Biden administration. | ||
| And then there are the Israeli people who are demanding victory and will settle for nothing less. | ||
| And I think that Netanyahu is with the people of Israel. | ||
| Has the revolt on college campuses in the U.S. | ||
| and the information war that looks like they're obviously winning with the mainstream media support in back of it, has that caused Netanyahu to blink and wait and delay the assault into Rafah until after the schools let out here in the United States? | ||
| I don't think that's playing a role at all. | ||
| Last week he issued a video message decrying the lack of protection for Jewish students and the tsunami of anti-Semitism that's flooding the United States these days and how dangerous it is. | ||
| I think it's very clear to the Prime Minister and certainly clear to me that the American Jewish community is being given the Israel treatment by the Biden administration. | ||
| The Jews on college campuses are not being protected at all. | ||
| The Department of Justice Civil Rights Division should be actively investigating the terror-aligned organizations that are behind these riots, including American Muslims for Palestine, which was an unindicted co-conspirator in the Holy Land Trust trial, and it was also shown to be a funding arm for Hamas. | ||
| in a series of lawsuits that were brought by terror victims against it in past years. | ||
| And their representatives have shown up, according to Jonathan Shanzer from the Foundation for Defense of Democracies, their representatives have shown up at multiple college campuses and are clearly a hand that is directing much of what's going on. | ||
| And the Justice Department is not investigating them or Students for Justice in Palestine, which is led by a professor at Berkeley University. | ||
| And so none of this is being investigated in any sort of serious way. | ||
| By the Justice Department or by the Department of Education and Jewish students are very, very clearly being pushed out of campuses in the United States. | ||
| But again, from the Israeli perspective. | ||
| This is part of the same thing, that if we don't win this war, it will be open season, not only for Israeli Jews in Israel, but it will be open season for Jews in the United States and in Europe and throughout the world. | ||
| So everything really is riding on our victory in this war. | ||
| And I don't think that there's any doubt about that, either in the government or at least in the Prime Minister's head or among the public in Israel. | ||
| Are you surprised that there hasn't been any resignations on principle from American Jewish individuals at senior levels in the Biden administration, including the Department of Justice about this topic, or even the prominent in entertainment, particularly on Wall Street? | ||
| I think you've had Bill Ackman is the most. | ||
| He said, hey, he can't support Biden going forward. | ||
| He's been a Biden supporter in the past. | ||
| Are you kind of shocked there hasn't been a bigger revolt in the American Jewish community to bring out the exact point? | ||
| I don't know. | ||
| I think that, first of all, the Jews who are serving in the Biden administration view themselves as progressives first and Jews second or third or fifth or seventeenth. | ||
| But I don't think that they define themselves primarily as Jews. | ||
| I think they primarily define themselves, like Tony Blinken, as progressives, as As as people who have a certain ideology that they're advancing through the through the policies that they're that they're implementing as for Jews in the United States. | ||
| Look, I think that this election can very much be determined by the Jewish vote, because you have four swing states with sizable Jewish populations. | ||
| Pennsylvania, Arizona, Georgia, and Nevada, that the Jewish population is larger than the gap between Trump and Clinton in 2016 or Biden and Trump in 2020. | ||
| And if you get several thousand Jews to not vote for Biden. | ||
| Yeah. | ||
| in 2024 that could push all four of those states into the Republican column. So I think, you know, what we're seeing now with their supposed claim that they're trying to win Michigan is that they're just ignoring, they're really just pushing an ideological agenda that has nothing to do with electoral politics.
