And what this is going to mean, potentially, in 45 days.
unidentified
In 45 days, Katie, this means that after 15 weeks, women in Arizona will not be able to get abortion.
And up to 15 weeks, they will be able to get it only in instances where their life is at risk.
And as we know from watching other states' experiences, certainly there are women whose lives have been at risk in other states, but whose physicians have been afraid of how they will demonstrate that, and therefore have not performed the procedures.
So I don't think you can walk away from this saying, well, up to 15 weeks, women whose lives are in danger will be able to get the procedure.
That too is in question now because of how you demonstrate that a woman's life is at risk.
katy tur
Does it matter that the Attorney General in Arizona is a Democrat?
Is she the one ultimately responsible for enforcing this law?
unidentified
No and yes.
So, Chris Mays has said, with permission from Katie Hubbs, that she will tell prosecutors around the state cease and desist from enforcing this law.
However, that's no guarantee.
And one or more of them could take her to court to say, you don't have the right to tell me what I can do in my own prosecutorial discretion.
I have that authority conferred upon me as an elected prosecutor.
And therefore, I think what we're likely to see as a number of clinics shut down, hospitals refuse to provide the procedure, because there is no guarantee that what Chris Mays wants to be the universe will in fact be that universe.
But what we could see from the former president and others is a national abortion ban.
katy tur
He didn't rule it out when he gave his statement yesterday.
unidentified
He didn't rule it out.
Well, and he also bragged about being responsible for the Dobbs decision, for this right going away.
And bragging that he's responsible for that means that he is responsible for what happened today in the Arizona Supreme Court.
steve bannon
This is the primal scream of a dying regime.
Pray for our enemies.
unidentified
Because we're going medieval on these people.
steve bannon
I got a free shot on all these networks lying about the people.
The people have had a belly full of it.
I know you don't like hearing that.
I know you try to do everything in the world to stop that, but you're not going to stop it.
It's going to happen.
jake tapper
And where do people like that go to share the big line?
unidentified
MAGA Media.
jake tapper
I wish in my soul, I wish that any of these people had a conscience.
unidentified
Ask yourself, what is my task and what is my purpose?
steve bannon
If that answer is to save my country, this country will be saved.
unidentified
War Room. Here's your host, Stephen K. Bannon.
steve bannon
It's Tuesday, 9 April, at the Year of Our Lord 2024.
unidentified
So I'm totally confused.
steve bannon
And that's why I've asked Abe Hamadate and Caroline Wren to join me.
Abe, Hamadate first.
Abe, explain what happened in Arizona today.
What is this?
abe hamadeh
Well, it was expected if people were paying attention.
So back in 2022, then Governor Doug Ducey and the state legislature They kind of saw that Roe v. Wade might be overturned, so they passed a 15-week abortion restriction.
But what many people don't realize is what was within that piece of legislation.
It was saying that if Roe v. Wade was overturned, it would go to the pre-Roe v. Wade law, which then in turn went to the territorial ban.
So now the Supreme Court has litigated whether that ban, since Roe v. Wade was took effect, whether the 15-week ban is the current law of the land or whether it reverts back to the territorial ban, which bans abortion with the exception of the life of the mother.
And the Arizona Supreme Court, I guess today, decided that the territorial ban is the law of the land.
And, you know, Steve, it's really funny because just today the Arizona Court of Appeals... Hold on, hold on, hang on, hang on, ho, ho, ho, hang on, hang on, hang on, hang on, hang on.
steve bannon
Arizona made a state in 1910, 11, somewhere around there.
When did Arizona become a state?
unidentified
1912. 1912.
steve bannon
The territorial ban, you were territorial, the territorial ban is from 1864?
abe hamadeh
That's correct.
steve bannon
How do we, are we, did they actually consider another Arizona law that, that laws made when you guys were, I think the, was the state capitol in Prescott then?
Or was it in, was it in Tucson?
How do they, did they refer to any, anything else to look back to the, the history back to the Civil War era?
abe hamadeh
Other than the fact that they looked at the text of legislation that was passed in 2022.
And I think that was kind of the mistake that so many Republicans kind of didn't realize what would create this division within the two laws.
The Court of Appeals actually Just in December, six months ago, ruled that the 2022 law stands.
So this was the Supreme Court overturning the Court of Appeals to then go back to the territorial ban, which, as we now know, abortion and all the Democrats are, in many ways, they're ecstatic with this decision because they want to use this as a way to drive their voters out to the polls when abortion is going to be on the ballot as a constitutional amendment.
steve bannon
So, but this, they keep saying the 15-week, but you have to prove life of the mother.
I mean, this essentially, is this, the left wing, let me say it a different way, the left wing is saying that we have now criminalized abortion.
That's not actually correct, is it?
abe hamadeh
Well, in Arizona, it's going to be illegal, all abortions with the exception of the life of the mother in Arizona, just because of what the Supreme Court has just ruled.
steve bannon
Isn't the Supreme Court made up essentially of Republican justices, judges?
abe hamadeh
Yes, Steve.
It's seven Republican Supreme Court justices.
But with this decision, it was six.
One of them had recused himself for making pro-life comments in the past.
And the six Supreme Court justices, it was ruled four to two.
steve bannon
You, to me, you're the, and I think to the people of Arizona, you're actually the Attorney General because it was stolen and I think even then it was down to 200 votes at a millions and millions cast.
What is your interpretation as effectively the shadow Attorney General of the great state of Arizona?
abe hamadeh
Well, she's saying that she's not going to enforce the law.
So again, Steve, the Republicans seem to, you know, always be fighting within the rules.
And then the Democrats, when they want to fight, they disregard every single other rule.
So, you know, I don't know how our system can operate when one side is being very selective in which laws to follow.
So it's unusual, but apparently Chris Mays, the illegitimate attorney general, has already said she's not going to be prosecuting or any of that stuff.
But, you know, As mentioned previously, the county attorneys have discretion.
I mean, we all know this is a losing issue right now, especially when it's when the optics and the narrative is that this is a territorial ban, right?
I mean, this is before the Arizona statehood.
And to them, it makes it seem like this is unreasonable.
So this is where President Trump really tried to get ahead of this just yesterday.
And what we saw at the Supreme Court today in Arizona kind of took away some of that narrative that we were winning on.
But this is where Republicans have to understand truly what the left is, what the left are going to do.
I mean, they're going to disregard the law no matter what.
But what was shocking to me, Steve, is that the Supreme Court decided to rule on this now.
We all know that the abortion rights activists, they already have over 500,000 signatures To put this on the ballot this November, which is well more than almost double of what they need.
So this issue is already going to go to the ballot no matter what.
I'm just not sure why the Supreme Court decided now just, you know, months prior to an election to inject themselves with this interpretation of the law and decide now.
And clearly, we already know the most likely outcome what's going to happen this November if we just have Go look at Kansas and Ohio with whenever ballot measures for abortion have been on the ballot, it's passed.
So I'm not sure why the Supreme Court did it.
It's unusual because it seems like they are also being selective in which laws to enforce and which laws to follow.
steve bannon
What was their logic?
You're the lawyer, you're the attorney general.
What was the logic they walked through to get all the way back to the territorial, the 1864 law that's pretty tough, let's say?
abe hamadeh
Well, the 2022 legislation that was signed and passed by Governor Doug Ducey. Within that legislation, it literally spells out that if Roe v. Wade no longer is the law of the land, it reverts back to the pre-Roe law, which is actually from 1972, but it refers back to the territorial law.
So honestly, as an attorney general, I ran this as last time.
I said, I predicted this was going to happen.
I'm just questioning why the Supreme Court decided to do this now.
also questioning why they decide to enforce and really be strict on the text of certain legislation but not others. So, you know, that's what's unusual about all of this. We already know what they do with election contests, but here with abortion, they seem to be pretty rigid on it. So, it's all around unusual. But within that 2022 text, I mean, it's spelled right in there. And the Court of Appeals, I do believe, got it wrong on the law itself, not on actual policy,
on the law itself. And I took my oath to defend the Constitution, the laws of our state and our So, you know, I understand why they did it.
I just question their motives for doing it.
steve bannon
Just hang on for a second, Abe.
I got a cold open for Caroline Wren.
She's going to join us.
Let's play Caroline Wren's cold open and I'll go to Caroline.
katy tur
As well, the Senate is an uphill battle for Democrats.
What would it mean for Ruben Gallego to win that seat?
unidentified
Well, it's very important for the Democrats to get that seat.
That's, of course, Kyrsten Sinema's seat right now.
She had been a Democrat and then left the party and is running, you know, is currently serving as an independent but not running for re-election.
Gallego, I think, has also been trailing Carrie Lake, who came out this week and says she agrees with former President Trump's position, which is that these issues should be left to the states rather than national abortion ban the way other Republicans like Mike Pence favor. So you saw already Republicans in Arizona starting to kind of pull back from the more you know hard-edged version of the abortion opposition movement but that
just shows how sensitive they are to that to that issue.
They know that in states that have had referendum, like the one that apparently will be on the ballot in Arizona this fall, every single one of them has voted for enshrining abortion rights into a state constitution or state law, including red states, deep red states like Kansas.
So you're going to see, I think, an impact on the Senate race and the presidential race in Arizona, potentially.
steve bannon
Okay, Caroline Wren joins us.
So Caroline, President Trump comes out with, you know, like Solomon, with this very well thought through, let the states decide.
And Carrie Lake is one of the first people to jump on board and say, I support President Trump.
And of course, there was, she got a little bit of grief in the life, but generally there was acceptance.
Okay, this is the party line.
We thought this is going.
Today, are you the dog that caught, are you guys the dog that caught the car?
I mean, the state's decided.
So what do you got to say to that?
caroline wren
Well, I still think it is a right decision that the states decided, but the problem we have right now is Kerry Lake was very smart to come out against the federal abortion ban.
There's never going to be 60 votes.
Trump followed suit and I thought put out a brilliant statement yesterday as well.
And so really there's going to be 50 different laws and each state needs to decide that for themselves.
But we do need to recognize what a problem this is.
And you and I have been talking about this on your show for two years now.
Because abortion is a winning issue on the left because it's literally, I mean, it's the only thing they have to run on.
They can't run on the disastrous economy, sky high inflation, you know, the wide open border.
They use the abortion issue to drive turnout.
And they flipped a ruby red state house seat in Alabama a couple of weeks ago over the IVF abortion issue.
Remember, we lost a special election in Wisconsin last year, the Supreme Court seat.
We got wiped out in the midterms all over abortion.
And it's because they funnel so much money through these nonprofits.
Planned Parenthood is not an abortion clinic.
It is a massive voter registration drive.
But a lot of this illegal ballot harvesting, this is all being done through these reproductive rights organizations, and they are just crushing us on it.
And Trump said this in his statement yesterday, where he said, where have the pro-life groups been?
You didn't come in to support anyone after all this.
There's no funding behind them, and the left has infinite funding.
And the Democrats are playing a game that is just better than us.
For example, they are putting a ballot initiative in Arizona on the ballot that was 24 weeks.
So people in Arizona, unless the legislature does something, I hope that they will, they're going to have a choice of you either have zero abortion and no exceptions or 24 weeks, which is six months.
And Planned Parenthood has already announced $60 million that they're going to put behind that initiative in Arizona.
And they're just going to lie about Carrie Lake's position.
They're going to lie about President Trump's position.
It doesn't matter what position you end up taking.
They will lie in television ads about you.
And we have got to get organized and focused on this.
And Carrie Lake is an unbelievable communicator.
I think she has by far been the best communicator On this issue, and not to mention her opponent, Ruben Gallego, actually left his wife when she was nine months pregnant for a lobbyist in D.C.
So I prefer not to be lectured by someone on reproductive rights or women's rights who have the moral character to abandon your wife and child days before they give birth.
steve bannon
Caroline, we've got to bounce.
I want to have you guys on maybe, Carrie, tomorrow.
What is your social media between now and then?
caroline wren
It's at Caroline Wren.
steve bannon
Okay, quite an explosive issue.
Caroline, thank you so much.
I know you're going to get a lot of input.
Abe, how do people get to you and your campaign?
We'd love to have you back on tomorrow or the next day to explain this.
It's pretty explosive.
Where do people go, Abe Hamadeh?
abe hamadeh
Go to abe4az.com, and they can follow me on Twitter, Truth and Getter, at Abraham Hamadeh.
steve bannon
Abe, you're running for Congress.
Good luck.
I look forward to having you back on.
Thank you for explaining to us today.
Okay, blockbuster announcement out of Arizona.
We'll drill down more on that tomorrow.
unidentified
We'll get more people on here.
steve bannon
I want to make sure that people can see this clearly, exactly what's going on.
Short commercial break.
There's more issues about Ukraine.
I know that shocks you.
All next in the War Room.
unidentified
Here's your host, Stephen K. Bamm.
steve bannon
OK, we're going to get more into this Arizona situation tomorrow.
Maybe we get Kerry on if we can track her down.
So we're working on all that.
MTG is going to join us in a minute, and I want to make sure we get up.
Denver, her, her, was it?
Wittenberg Cathedral, the 95 thesis, hers is seven against Speaker Johnson.
We're going to have MTG on a second, but kind of a blockbuster article over one of my favorite papers, The American Conservative.
Brad Devlin joins us, one of the editors over there.
Okay, so Brad, you gotta help me out here.
How do we come up, your article goes through pretty good detail, starting to advance, we're getting some information now.
We're 14 billion dollars, we've underestimated 14 billion dollars of aid that we've actually sent Zelensky and the oligarchs in Ukraine.
Is that the essence of this?
unidentified
Yeah, that's the essence of this, Steve.
And it's because it's been such a slow drip from the Biden administration.
This effort by Senator J.D.
Vance and his House colleague or, you know, on the other side of the Capitol complex, M.T.G., you know, they've been pushing for this information since January of 2023, when they sent a letter in January of 2023 saying, give us the numbers.
This should be really easily available data for the Biden administration because this is American taxpayer dollars and we're funding a war, for crying out loud.
Well, the Office of Management and Budget took almost eight months to reply, and then their answer was unsatisfactory, to say the least.
They only said there was $111 billion worth of aid dispensed to Ukraine, but they said nothing of transfers, which is different monies that can be reappropriated from different authorities to another authority, or reprogrammings, which happens inside appropriations accounts for other purposes.
Now, it took them another six months, but in March, the OMB got back to Senator Vance and a number of conservatives in Congress and said, yeah, the number is actually 114, but oh, well, we're going to leave out some, the number is actually 125, but we're not actually going to tell you everything that's there.
And when J.D. Vance and company was doing this throughout 2023, they believed the number was about $114 billion.
So all of a sudden, even their predictions were blown out of the water by the fact that they could be spending $125 billion on Ukraine and another $4 billion using the drawdown authority, which pulls from American stockpiles of weapons, bringing the grand total, the price tag of the Ukraine war for the American taxpayer to $129 billion potentially.
steve bannon
$129 billion, and they've got currently an ask of another $60 billion.
Plus, we can't figure out what this repo is about how they're going to steal the Russian people's assets, convert them into cash, and give them to the Ukrainians.
What do they have to say?
What does the Biden regime have to say?
Finally, MTG and J.D.
Vance had an answer.
These guys stopped them every bit of the way.
Has the Biden regime come up and said, we're sorry for this, this is inappropriate, we don't know how this happened?
unidentified
Oh, of course not.
Mum's the word for the Biden administration, right?
They don't actually want you to know how much money they've sent to Ukraine because...
Then support for the war would crater.
Biden, Mitch McConnell, Chuck Schumer, they've all said that Ukraine is the number one issue facing Americans.
Nobody believes that.
Look at the polling.
I mean, it's just it's just such a farce.
It's such a joke.
And so the Biden administration is going to try to downplay this as much as possible while also leaning on their allies in Congress, as I said, Schumer, McConnell, and maybe even Speaker Mike Johnson to get a Ukraine aid deal done.
You mentioned this deal that Mike Johnson's cooking up that includes repo.
This seems like a pitch to conservatives to say, hey, I'm going to make aid to Ukraine deficit neutral.
And I do have to say, it was a mistake on some conservatives' part to pitch this in terms purely of just financial irresponsibility on the part of the Biden administration.
That is certainly a part, and that is something that we should all be concerned about.
Our debt is unsustainable.
But What we left out of that is talking about how this is an issue that is part of U.S.
grand strategy.
I mean, throughout this war, China and Russia have created entire parallel systems for finance and diplomacy that the United States is now on the outside of looking in.
It's bad for the American interest.
steve bannon
Terrible.
Brad, I'm going to try to get you back tomorrow.
I know you've got to run.
Just one last question.
The American conservative, some of the smartest public intellectuals we have, if we were to canvass the staff and the readers and the editors and publishers, if we were to canvass everything on a percentage basis, what percentage of all those individuals support the $60 billion aid package to Ukraine?
unidentified
Well, the American conservative, there's zero.
But the problem is conservative journalism is the only place you're going to find people who voted for Ed McMullin.
Probably, I would say it's 75-25.
The conservative media apparatus is not with the conservative voter, which is why, Steve, your show has such a large following, because you are one of the few voices speaking out about this, and we're going to be doing the same thing at the American Conservative.
steve bannon
Brad, what is your social media?
How do they get you at the American Conservative?
unidentified
My Twitter handle is at Bradley Devlin.
And follow everything on The American Conservative.
We will be following up on this, especially as Mike Johnson tries to cook up another Ukraine aid package.
steve bannon
Thank you, Brad.
We're going to have you back on very shortly.
Thank you, sir.
MTG joins us now.
So first, before we get to your Wittenberg Cathedral thesis, the American conservative is saying that the accounting you asked for, after kicking and screaming now for months and months and months, the Biden regime admits that they undercounted $14 billion.
It's actually $129 billion all in.
What say you, MTG, since you and Senator Vance were the ones that forced this?
marjorie taylor greene
That's right, Steve.
You know, I demanded an audit, and I was supposed to have one, but they never really accounted for the money.
Now, this should be no surprise from the federal government.
Remember, the Pentagon fails its audit every single year by billions and billions of dollars.
So is anyone surprised that they miscounted the money that they sent to Ukraine?
No, people are not surprised at all.
Where the American people are, Steve, is they don't want any more of their dollars being sent to Ukraine because Ukraine is one of the most corrupt countries on earth.
But here's the Biden administration, which is probably the most corrupt administration on earth, is now saying that they messed up counting how much money they sent to Ukraine.
Senator Vance and I joined together on this letter demanding answers and we are also united between the House and the Senate in not sending another penny to Ukraine.
We are demanding an end to this war and a peace resolution for Ukraine.
steve bannon
Hang on, hang on a second, hang on a second.
You're a very forgiving person, I know this, a very kind person.
Do you believe this is just incompetence?
Do you believe if you had not forced it, do you think there's not criminal activity here?
How do you have $129 billion, how do you misplace $14 billion?
How do you undercount?
That's over 10%, it's like 12%.
Is just incompetence do that?
Or do you think they willfully did this and tried to hide it from you and tried to hide it from the American people?
marjorie taylor greene
Well, I don't think it's wrong to ask those questions, Steve.
I think those are the questions we should be asking.
After all, the Washington, D.C.
establishment government says that Ukraine is their top priority.
Speaker Mike Johnson says funding Ukraine for another $60 billion is his top priority.
So, you know, it's the establishment.
It's the deep state.
They think that Ukraine is the most important war they could ever fight.
It is more important to them than our own border, securing our own border.
They refuse to secure our border.
They aren't worried about the terrorists that are in our land, in our nation, in our country, in our communities.
They don't care about taking care of these people with American taxpayer money.
They want to fund Ukraine at all costs.
So I think that is the question to ask, Steve.
You said it absolutely correct.
Are they doing this on purpose?
Are they breaking the law?
I think that is the question to ask, and I wouldn't be surprised if that's the truth.
Because I serve on the Oversight Committee, Steve.
We've investigated the Biden family for months and months now.
And our own President of the United States has engaged, and we've proven it, with his son, Hunter Biden, in businesses that is completely wrong, corrupt.
and against the law with many foreign countries and their nation's leaders.
After all, Tony Bobulinski just told us that President Xi was number one with their business dealings with Hunter Biden and Joe Chairman was, Joe, I'm sorry, sorry, Hunter Biden said that his father Joe was his chairman.
So this is who the government is. This is who our nation's leaders are.
Would they figure out dirty math ways to send Ukraine money?
Yeah, I think they would.
steve bannon
But but hang on. But this has got to be a a inflection point.
Here's why.
For months and months and months, every night on MSNBC and CNN and Ron Filippowsky and Media Matters, they would call you Mar, Joe Mar.
They would mock you and laugh at you about wanting to know where the money is.
They said, oh, the United States would be, the Ukrainians are straightforward, the United States military would be all over top of this, nothing will fall in other hands.
They missed it by $14 billion after they mocked you for even asking.
What do you say to the people that singled you and Vance out for mockery now that this number's come in, ma'am?
marjorie taylor greene
Well, you know why I always ignore these people for mocking me and making fun of me?
Because I'm on the right side of history, Steve, and the American people agree with me.
70% of Americans are against funding the war in Ukraine.
70% of Americans want to see a peace deal in Ukraine and do not want to fund the murder of any more people in this foreign country with our own government's proxy war with Russia.
So for all of these people that mock me, and they most recently mocked my faith and made fun of me saying that God is sending us a sign to repent.
And when I posted that on my social media, I really don't care what they make fun of me and mock me about. The American people are not stupid and they see through all of their lies and they do not believe any of this garbage.
And this is why MSNBC is losing their ratings.
This is why nobody cares about Ron Filippikowski, and everyone knows he's not a Republican, he's a radical Democrat.
And this is why, you know, people are sick and tired of the media, frankly, and they've turned it off.
And this is why they watch shows like War Room and many other shows that actually talk about the issues that people care about.
So we're winning this.
We are winning the information war, Steve, because we're telling the truth.
And fighting the right fights and fighting for our country and what our American people care about is winning the war against all of these people.
So I'm really happy that I joined on that letter with J.D.
Vance, and it's right to hold our government accountable for our own American taxpayer dollars.
Not another penny to Ukraine.
steve bannon
Okay, hang on.
Hang on, you've sent another letter to her to get into.
Birchgold.com slash Bannon.
Find out what gold is a hedge against turbulence.
Another record price today.
Short break, Taylor next.
katy tur
Today on Speaker Johnson's agenda, what to do about Ukraine and Israel, and on Congressman Marjorie Taylor Greene's agenda, what to do about Speaker Johnson and her motion to vacate.
This morning she delivered a five-page letter to her Republican colleagues calling the speaker a quote Failure.
Mike Johnson has unfortunately not lived up to a single one of his self-imposed tenets.
If these actions by the leader of our conference continue, then we are not a Republican Party.
We are a Uniparty.
I will not tolerate this kind of Republican, quote, leadership, she says.
Joining us now, NBC News Capitol Hill correspondent Alia Fatali.
Lots of words there, a lot of seeming threats, but no concrete dates and no move so far to privilege her motion to vacate.
Did I get that wording right?
That jargon right?
unidentified
You did.
You nailed the jargon, and it's actually really important, so I'm glad that you brought it up.
The fact that the motion, as Marjorie Taylor Greene presented it now, has no timeline on it.
It can just sort of hang out there, a reminder of the fact that any one Republican can trigger a motion to vacate, but it's when you make a motion privileged that starts a clock on it, that it then has to be taken up within a matter of days.
That is not where we are right now, though, of course, you point out the fact that Marjorie Taylor Greene has a lot to say about the current sitting speaker, Mike Johnson.
This is a standoff, though, from Greene and Johnson's perspective, and it all comes down to what happens over the issue of Ukraine aid.
That's not likely something that we're going to see happen on the floor this week, though, of course, things move fast around here if they're moving at all.
What's likely to happen though when the House comes back tonight is that a lot of conversations are going to be had about the best path forward on this.
There's a school of thought that Speaker Johnson might go forward with, a separate Ukraine funding bill that basically takes frozen Russian assets and uses it in a loan capacity to help Ukraine.
That's one school of thought, but it also still has problems.
And then of course there's also the Senate Supplemental Funding Bill that has been out there for several weeks.
They passed it several weeks ago.
That's not just aid to Ukraine, that's also aid to Israel and Taiwan.
That bill has its own problems too within the House Republican Conference, but Democrats could be there to support.
steve bannon
Let me have it.
Marjorie Taylor Greene joins us.
So, like Luther nailed the 95 thesis to the cathedral door, you've nailed your seven points about Speaker Johnson, and each point's tougher than the next.
Can you walk our audience through what's in the letter, why is it important, and what is your path forward?
marjorie taylor greene
Yes, Steve, thank you.
I spent some time this weekend writing that letter to my colleagues, and it's extremely important.
We're a conference, so we have to make decisions together.
This isn't me forcing my will on the conference.
This is me writing out exactly what's happened, basically outlining the reasons why Speaker Mike Johnson can no longer be our Republican-elected Speaker of the House.
And I used his own seven tenants.
These were self-imposed promises that Mike Johnson made to our conference of what type of speaker he would be.
And I went through outlining how he had broken every single one of his own seven promises.
This is carried on from him breaking the rules, breaking the 72-hour rule, forcing us to vote on a two-part omnibus, only one day to read over 1,000 pages.
This is him bringing bills under suspension.
This is him tying our hands behind our backs, not allowing us to make any amendments.
That's our way to make changes to a bill, which is extremely important for us to be able to do, not only for our own views and values, but most importantly to represent our districts.
I also went through and outlined the policy problems that Mike Johnson has forced upon us.
He has forced his own rank-and-file Republicans to vote for full-term abortion in order to pay military service members.
This is an outrage.
This is not the leadership that we would expect from any of our Republican leaders.
This is not the type of leadership that our own elected Republican Speaker of the House should be leading by.
This is the leadership of a Uniparty Speaker, or worse, this is the leadership of a Democrat Speaker.
And the Democrats are thrilled with Mike Johnson.
He has absolutely done their bidding, Steve.
He passed Biden's open border, destructive, dangerous policies that are killing Americans every single day.
But I want you to know the worst part, and this is the part that grieves me.
Extremely so.
He funded Biden's Department of Justice, the same Department of Justice that is prosecuting our president, President Trump, our presidential candidate for the Republican Party for 2024 with 91 federal indictments.
He didn't allow us to make amendments to take out Jack Smith's funding to stop these prosecutions.
This is the same Department of Justice that's prosecuting January 6th defendants every single day and arresting a new person on average every single day.
This is the same Department of Justice that is prosecuting pro-life, peaceful pro-life protesters who are now facing up to 11 years in jail.
This is not something that deserves funding.
This is something that Republicans should have fought on.
And then even worse, Mike Johnson gave the FBI a brand new building.
What a beautiful gift, with a beautiful bow, all tied up for them at $200 billion of the American taxpayer's money.
That should have never happened, and we should have been able to fight against that as well.
He funded the trans agenda.
He funded full-term abortion.
He funded things that we never wanted to pay for.
And you want to know something?
Joe Biden, the White House, could not wait to sign that bill into law.
Chuck Schumer could not wait to run it through the Senate.
Mitch McConnell couldn't wait to line up his little soldiers and make sure that they voted for it.
We cannot have a Republican speaker that literally walks in a negotiating room waving the white flag of surrender.
This is not the time we're living in.
Our country is on the brink of implosion, that self-inflicted collapse.
That is what my letter is about, Steve, telling my colleagues in my conference that we have to go through the painful process And we have to choose a new Republican Speaker of the House.
And it's very important for me to communicate to my colleagues about this in order to move forward the right way.
We need a person that is prepared to be Speaker of the House.
That is prepared to fight on issues that are extremely important to fight for.
Because we intend on winning this election in November in 2024.
We are going to put Donald John Trump back in the White House.
We need a Republican-controlled House, a Republican-controlled Senate that will pass the America First MAGA agenda, and Mike Johnson is not the man to do it.
steve bannon
Did Speaker Johnson make almost a blood oath to secure the border?
Is the border secure, and is Speaker Johnson taking any action, used any leverage against the Biden regime to seal it, ma'am?
marjorie taylor greene
Yes, Steve, he is on record making a promise to all of America that he will not fund the government without border security.
He's not only said that on his social media, he said that on multiple interviews, yet he has done nothing to nothing to secure our border.
That should have happened in our government funding, our appropriation bills.
He could have put Remain in Mexico in there.
He could have put the Lake and Riley Act in this government funding bill.
He could have put key tenants of HR2 in the government funding and fought for it.
Because this is the number one issue all over America, and Republicans and Democrats, no matter what state you poll in, border security is number one.
Mike Johnson did nothing, nothing to secure our border, and regular Americans are paying the price for that.
That is a complete failure and it's unacceptable.
steve bannon
You talk about the impeachment that he doesn't have to go anywhere, the Mallorca thing's not going anywhere, they got the great-grandmother that prayed in the Capitol just got sentenced, she just got found guilty, she's going to be sentenced to three years, potentially three years in federal prison for praying, just up and down a disaster.
The Warren Mention Room is asking me right now that you're uniquely positioned Because of Johnson's support of the Biden regime, you're uniquely positioned because you sit on oversight.
Do you believe that this Biden over count or this fanatical move of Biden to get money to Ukraine and the establishment to get money to Ukraine?
Do you think it's to shut Zelensky up about what's going on in Ukraine and the support they've gotten and maybe what happened in Burisma?
Do you think there's any connection given You've got probably more details on Hunter Biden.
You've been over to Treasury.
You've told me that the file for the female trafficking is that thick.
You've actually gone over and looked at the receipts in Treasury and the secure location.
Do you think there's any connection between what's happening?
And even with Johnson and these guys pushing, now they're trying to steal the Russian people's assets.
The American people are not at war with the Russian people.
They're going to take their money and give it to the oligarchs in Ukraine.
The things they're talking about are insanity.
What's driving the insanity?
You've actually the only person I've looked at that had a chance to look at the receipts and have stood up Johnson and said you can't do this, you can't go forward and do this, ma'am.
marjorie taylor greene
Steve, if the American people saw the truth and saw the things that I've read and listened to the different testimonies that I've heard and could witness what I've witnessed, they would overwhelmingly impeach Joe Biden.
Not only would they impeach Joe Biden, they would easily impeach me or there would be a trial in the Senate, it would already be done.
They would impeach Merrick Garland.
They would impeach Matthew Graves.
They would throw out this entire government.
I would argue they should throw all of us out, Steve.
This government is not worthy of the American people's support.
That's where we stand today.
And it's a travesty.
It is a travesty what's happened to this country.
And it really pains me because we should be doing so much more.
And listen, Steve, I truly believe we can do so much more, and this is why I wrote this letter to my colleagues.
I think we can, and we have to.
Yeah, is it uncomfortable?
Yeah, it's uncomfortable.
Is it hard?
Oh, it's definitely hard.
Are we going to argue with each other?
Sure, we're going to argue.
Is it worth it?
You're damn right it's worth it, and I'll tell you why.
America is the most important country in the world.
We are the world's leaders, but we have done a horrible job.
Our government has declared war in foreign lands we had no business belonging in, no business going to, and no business murdering their people and fighting wars in these foreign countries.
Our government has ripped our border wide open, and we've been invaded for years.
We've been invaded for decades, and our people are paying a horrific price.
We're in debt right now, nearly $35 trillion in debt, and that debt is growing by $40 billion every night while we sleep, and they're projecting that it's going to be $55 trillion in 10 more years.
We're in a path of destruction, and it's by our own government.
That's where we stand right now.
And this is how serious this is.
And this is why, if anyone wants to hold elected office, they need to be prepared for the responsibility that it brings.
No, no more dancing and dining on the top deck of a sinking ship.
This ship is going down.
We can only have leaders that are willing, capable, and prepared to handle these difficult conversations and do what it takes to choose a Republican Speaker of the House And I'll argue all leadership that is ready to be able to stand in the fight, to stand against the war that is being waged on us in our own government hallways, in our own government buildings.
And that war is being waged against the American people.
And it is really honestly one of the most sickening things I've ever seen.
Steve, we have to do it.
And that's what responsibility means.
That's what leadership is.
It's not doing what's easy or what sounds nice to one another.
It's actually taking the reins and actually driving ahead and leading this country to the right place and the right course.
And that's what I'm willing and prepared to do with my colleagues.
And I've heard back from many of them, Steve.
They agree with my letter.
They agree with it.
Now it's up to them to start coming forward and talking about it.
steve bannon
I know you got to bounce, but real quickly, you had a town hall last night.
Do the people of Georgia 14 support you, ma'am?
marjorie taylor greene
Yes, my district supports me, and I'm very grateful for their support.
And Steve, I want to say this is the heartbeat of America.
Georgia 14 is just like most Americans across the country.
They're good people, and they want good things, and they absolutely love our country.
They're so patriotic.
They're God-fearing.
They're hard-working, and they're just wonderful people.
Yes, I have their support.
They agreed with me.
They just want to make sure that I do it right.
We aren't going to hand over this majority to the Democrats.
That is not going to happen.
And they can't wait to see President Trump back in the White House.
steve bannon
Congressman Greene, where do people go to follow all this minutely?
marjorie taylor greene
You can follow me at any of my social media.
RepMTG.
RepMTG is where you can go.
That's my personal media ex-account right there at MTGreene, two E's on the end as well.
Thank you, Steve.
steve bannon
Thank you, Congressman.
We'll look forward to this.
It's going to be a rock and roll all week, I can tell you right now.
Shot across the bow, Congressman Marjorie Taylor Greene of Georgia 14.
She set this Capitol on fire right now, so it's going to be a big week.

It's going to be another Donnybrook this week.
This is what I keep saying about times of turbulence.
Turbulence is not going to go away.
You see what they're going to do to President Trump starting next Monday.
That's when they ratchet up the game.
You see what happened in Arizona today about abortion.
This is going to be a dogfight between now and 5 November.
And that's when it really gets tough is after that.
OK, so hunker down.
Times of turbulence.
This is why Birch Gold, another all time high today.
We're not the experts.
We talked to you about the macro.

The home of the Deep State out in Fairfax County, our own Katie Gorka.
Katie, I'm so proud of you.
Chairman, and I'm talking about a crushing, crushing landslide victory.
68-28, I think.
Katie, how did you do it?
And now what are you going to do, ma'am?
This is one of the most powerful counties in the country and should be one of the most powerful MAGA GOPs.
You're now the chairman.
Tell us about it.
unidentified
Yeah.
So first of all, the way I got it, I worked hard for every single vote.
I had a great team around me and we ran this campaign the way you need to run a campaign, which is you don't take a single voter for granted.
You reach out, you find them, you make sure that they show up.
And that's what we did.
And they did show up.
And I'll tell you, part of the reason they showed up is because you've got a county here that is so fed up with what the Democrats are doing and what the radical left is doing.
And we've also got a county that I think is really fed up with any Republican Party members being lukewarm on our nominee, President Trump.
So we've got a county here that is really excited to go to work to get Donald Trump elected.
That's going to be our number one focus.
Getting Donald Trump elected this fall and getting the rest of our Republican candidates elected.
We've got a Senate candidate and then we'll have a congressional race as well.
It is just so important and I think in Fairfax County we can show what it looks like to pull a county back from the brink, turn it red again.
That's what we're going to be doing.
steve bannon
Katie, what was the message that you used?
At six o'clock we're going to go to Dallas where they're trying to steal something in a recount.
We're going to go to Barry Wernick and Melissa Katz there.
What was the message you used?
Because you would think somebody like yourself that was in Trump, you know, over at the State Department, you're a huge Trump supporter, Trump White House, that that'd be the last thing that Squishers in Fairfax County would want.
Why did they want you?
Why did they want MAGA?
unidentified
No, I'm telling you because I don't think they are squishes anymore.
I think that the Republican party has really come around here.
I think people have seen how destructive Joe Biden is for this country, what he's doing to our country, what he's doing to Fairfax County.
And they've said, it's enough.
It's time to bring back president Trump.
You can't believe the energy here.
Actually, people are really excited to go to work.
They're going to work hard, and I think we're going to do everything we can to get him elected.
So I'm really excited for what we've got ahead of us.
steve bannon
Katie, I couldn't be more excited.
You're one of the toughest nuts in the Trump movement.
You've served the president.
You've served the country.
It's just incredible.
People are so excited.
And it was a sweeping landslide.
This was a blowout.
How do they follow you, Katie?
What social media, website, all of it?
Because we want to make sure we track this.
Fairfax County is one of the most important linchpins in the country.
So how do people follow you?
unidentified
Yeah, well, I think it's important that people follow now the Fairfax GOP.
We've got a great website.
They can follow me personally.
I'm on all social media.
Katie Gorka, Gorka Katie, some version of that.
And I just, you know, I really encourage anybody out there who's in Fairfax County who's listening, come join the movement.
Get involved.
steve bannon
I think you nailed it when you came on the show a couple weeks ago and said, hey, there's a huge Christian population, traditional Catholic population, Evangelical, there's tons of MAGA out there, they just know that somebody cares and is prepared to step up and lead.
And you showed that overwhelmingly you blew out the rhinos.
And so this shows you, you were right.
And I say this throughout the whole country.
The country's two-thirds MAGA.
The country's two-thirds MAGA.
You just got to go out and meet them where they are and preach the gospel of MAGA and the gospel of President Trump and America first.
So, Katie, thank you so much for having the courage to do that.
unidentified
Thanks, Steve.
steve bannon
Wow.
Incredible.
68-28.
It couldn't be a better person.
She's a warrior.
