| How QE actually worked, what the effect of negative, you know, zero rates was for all this time, and obviously the politics. | ||
| And then the Ukrainian war is affecting oil, gas, food, migration. | ||
| So you have all these very powerful forces that are going to be affecting us in 24 and 25. | ||
| So if I was the government, I would be preparing for what I'm going to do about that, assuming things aren't good. | ||
| And I just also want to point out, I wish the Democrats would think a little more carefully when they talk about MAGA, you know, and if you travel this country, you know, and the country's unbelievable. | ||

| They're hungry to grow. | ||

| The first is that I'm at Davos, and secondly, Jamie Dimon sounds like he could be on your show. | ||

| And so as I walk them through this, I'm going to be focusing on four or five areas of policy that demonstrate that everything that's ever been said at the World Economic Forum is wrong, and that the next president of the United States has to take on these issues. | ||

| China is our number one adversary. | ||
| My biggest issue, our biggest issue at Heritage, closing the southern border, ending this lawlessness in not just the southern border but in borders around the world. | ||
| Ask the conservatives in the United Kingdom how that issue is going as small boat after small boat just drips away, it erodes away self-governance in that country. | ||
| But we also want to talk about the foolishness, as John Kerry was once again parroting today, of I think you're right to sum up here, Steve. | ||
| that the so-called medicine, the solutions for fixing climate change, actually are worse and cost more human lives than any so-called climate modeling we've ever seen. They're not ready for that truth serum, but I certainly would not have accepted this unexpected invitation without the intent of coming here and telling them the truth. | ||

| The latest petervar.substack.com article in the Washington Times has really fleshed out one of the themes you and I have talked a long time about, which is the Inevitable destruction of both Apple and Tesla and communist China. | ||
| You got to remember the forefather of Elon Musk and Tim Cook at Apple was Henry Ford, who sent over a bunch of factories to the Nazis in the 30s. | ||
| And those factories, Henry Ford's American factories, wound up creating the vehicles that were part of the Nazi blitzkrieg that killed lots of people. | ||
| And what's going to happen, and it's already happening to Musk, as I detail in the Washington Times article, is that Xi Jinping, the dictator, and his bureaucrats are slowly choking both Apple and Tesla to death in China with things like bans on iPhones by government officials, bans on Teslas driving into certain parts | ||
| of the country and a lot of parts of the country. | ||
| And the history lesson I give in that article, Steve, is how every American CEO going back for decades now has always thought because of their arrogance and hubris that they could outsmart the Chinese. | ||
| That somehow the cheap labor, the lax environmental regulations, the big government subsidies was somehow going to be worth it. | ||
| The intellectual forefather of all that was GE's Jeff Immelt, who took over from Jack Welch the same year China joined the WTO. | ||
| And Immelt, who I fought with publicly about all of this, would basically offshore the factories of GE to China. | ||
| He surrendered the forced technology transfer. | ||
| And sure enough, down the road, just as I predicted, China would have competitors, not just in the Chinese market, but in foreign markets around the world and basically shut down. | ||
| And we've had with Musk, you know, the smartest guy on the planet has done the dumbest thing on the planet. | ||
| I mean, he went over there and this other company, BYD, which he scoffed at, Musk scoffed at this company in 2011, Steve, has basically taken Tesla styles, It's technology and it is now, not Tesla, it is now the largest EV manufacturing sales in the world. | ||
| Musk has the largest plant in one place in Shanghai. | ||
| He promised to keep it in Texas. | ||
| He didn't. | ||
| But BYD is kicking its ass just like Huawei is kicking Apple's ass. | ||
| It's by design of the Chinese government. | ||
| You're going to see Apple and Tesla steadily lose value as they have already begun to do. | ||
| Never would have happened. | ||
| And I have a great segment in the article, Steve, about how during the Trump years, Tim Cook would come in and he tried to lobby us through Jared Kushner. | ||
| He would argue, we're too big to tariff. | ||
| Well, we have so much in China that if you have tariffs on it somehow, that'll be bad for America. | ||
| And my message to both Musk and Cook is be careful what you wish for, and if Trump had been In office over the last three years. | ||
| She's doing what we warned him about. | ||
| Musk is now asking for 25% of Tesla. | ||
