| And like many people that watch your show every day, I'm pretty disappointed. | ||
| There just doesn't seem to be a sense of urgency up here on Capitol Hill. | ||
| I sat in a meeting yesterday with Speaker Johnson and several members of our conference that would be classified as war hawks. | ||
| Some of us from the House Freedom Caucus were talking about why we need to attach the border security to this funding deal. | ||
| Many of the Warhawk types were talking more about hypersonic missiles and ship contracts. | ||
| That was their focus. | ||
| I can't tell you I can make sense of it, but that's some of the detachment from why we can't get our borders secured, and the detachment from what the American people are asking for and begging for. | ||
| It's also, you know, his new pitch is, oh, we're going to get some policy wins, which we're not going to get, but it's policy wins because he wants to get away from just the overall debacle in the finances. | ||
| We just had reported out last night half a trillion dollars in the first three months of the fiscal year. | ||
| This starts October 1st. | ||
| Half a trillion dollars projected now to be two trillion dollar deficit. | ||
| Is there any, when you're in these meetings, is there any discussion about, hey guys, I know we cut $16 billion, which is about six days of interest, saved $16 billion. | ||
| But is there any discussion about you're running now trillion dollar deficits every year and it looks like you're going to run them in perpetuity? | ||
| Does that ever get brought up in these closed door meetings? | ||

| You don't have to make the speaker of the house, whichever side it is, um, your new commander in chief, where you just ask, Okay, you know, sir, sir, what's my marching orders? | ||

| They're screaming as loud as they possibly can on both sides of the aisle, to be honest with you. | ||
| Hey, shut down this border or shut down the government. | ||
| And unfortunately, once again, uh, most of the representation in the house are not listening. | ||
| Do they understand the scale of the financial crisis we have, and the scale of the invasion of the southern border, that you have nine or ten million here, that come across as three to five hundred thousand a month, and this is, you know, ten thousands of combat divisions. | ||
| So you have combat divisions of PLA, CCP, you know, fighting age males from everywhere. | ||
| Did they understand that's all got to be deported, that these two crises, when they converge, and they are converging now, what you see in New York City, see other places, will lead to the absolute destruction of this republic with no comeback? | ||

| It's about, um, you know, making sure that, you know, their, their big campaign donors, you know, have their agendas taken care of and make sure that, you know, their retirement Um, and that lobbying job that they want, you know, or that board that they want to be on with a, you know, defense contractor, whatever it is, is, is still, uh, is still online. | ||
| I'm going to go to your constituents. | ||
| You have geographically one of the largest districts in the nation. | ||
| Tell me about the folks in the district. | ||
| Where are their heads at right now? | ||
| Do you believe they understand the scale of the financial crisis and the scale of the invasion of the southern border and they understand where this is taking this country? | ||

| They go to their emergency room and aren't able to get | ||
| Um, you know, seen in, in a relatively, um, you know, understandable amount of time while, you know, illegals are taken care of, um, you know, often before them they see in the airport, Steve, when they go to get on a flight, you know, they see, uh, you know, hundreds of, uh, illegals walking through the airport with, you know, little plastic baggies, you know, get getting on planes that they're paying for sending them to hotels that they end up paying for. | ||
| And they're sick of it. | ||
| And they're sick of the politicians up in Washington, D.C. | ||
| that, you know, don't do anything about it. | ||
| And even when they understand the problem, they're not willing to take the hard vote. | ||
| Because as you've said on your show many, many times, the Republican Party, for the most part, all we really do is manage the decline of the country. | ||
| We're not willing to play to win. | ||
| We're not willing to do what's necessary to turn it around. | ||
| And that's why they support President Trump. | ||
| And so many of us that have shown that we're willing to throw down and fight because they know it's going to take a fight to get us out of this mess. | ||

| Because she says we need more accountability. | ||
| She's on the accountability project to hold them accountable. | ||
| She says they'll look you in the eye and lie to you. | ||

| Langford's been working on this for two months. | ||

| And Rosemary Jenks, she's no hothead like Bannon. | ||

| Your pension funds, right, are used by the Larry Finks of the world to ship all the jobs over to China, the main, oh, we don't do that, that's wrong, you don't really, no, no, no, no, I can go to these towns and I understand and they understand, the people living in them understand, you don't need some big, you know, macroeconomic explanation of this. | ||
| And then at the end, it's your sons and daughters, it's both your treasure and your blood. | ||
| Are their kids serving anywhere in the world? | ||
| Every now and again you get onesies, twosies of people that are patriotic and the kids are raised and their kids are patriotic. | ||
| But that's not them as a class, no way. | ||

| If they had any respect for you, you wouldn't have to have this huge fight on closing the southern border. | ||

| And the purpose of the book is to really inform the American public and to educate them about how we got to this place where we had a The policy of engagement and embracing the PRC, the Chinese Communist Party, over the last 30 to 40 years. | ||
| And we didn't understand the true intentions of the Chinese Communist Party and their global worldview and how they want to take over that world and they want to destroy the United States of America. | ||
| And so in this book, Brad and I go through and Talk about various elements of this. | ||
| From my perspective, the thing that I kind of brought to bear was my practitioner's experience of working inside the Navy and inside the intelligence community and giving some examples of how the intelligence community and my own Navy's leaders basically perpetuated this engagement policy without really recognizing the threat 30 years ago, 20 years ago, 10 years ago, and did anything to change course. | ||
| Your prior guest, the congressman from Arizona, talked about this mindset inside DC where people just say it's impossible, you can't change anything. | ||
| And then essentially that's what has happened in the national security arena when it comes to the People's Republic of China. | ||
| We were told that we had to engage and engagement would change them and they would come around. | ||
| And what we've actually seen over the last 40 years is China's gotten more aggressive More powerful and more threatening. | ||
| And as you mentioned, you know, it's just past midnight in Taiwan right now. | ||
| So 23 million people are going to vote for, you know, their future leader, their future president. | ||
| Within 24 hours, we'll know who's won. | ||
| And if the Democratic Progressive Party candidate wins, which is the current administration, if that same party stays in power, we can expect China to start really ratcheting up the threats. | ||
| Uh, even more than they have in the last two years. | ||
| And, uh, you know, we may be looking at an invasion sometime in the next, uh, year, year and a half. | ||
| And it could be sooner. | ||
| It could be later, but it's very serious, uh, that what China wants to do and the United States is unprepared and we have not deterred the PRC in any way, shape or form. | ||
| And that's really the thesis of the book is we have not done our job, uh, to carry on with, uh, the legacy that we had handed to us. | ||
| From the people that won World War II and won the Cold War. | ||
| And we kind of dropped the ball. | ||
| And this book explains that in some detail. | ||

| And the whole coterie of people that write for academia and government agencies and think tanks, they're pumping out articles like crazy, like they did before Trump, talking about why engagement's great, what we get from it. | ||
| And it's really just, we're back to the same trough, dog eating its vomit. | ||
| Your book to me epitomizes, when I read the galleys, is that it's not simply Biden being there and taking a beating from Xi, who's telling him what they're going to do in Taiwan. | ||
| The worst element was, but epitomized your book, that the book has a handshake on the cover, but it's the toast. | ||
| Those 400 traders that were there and toasted Xi as a conquering hero in San Francisco, as somebody they want to be in business with. | ||
| Your thoughts about that? | ||
| Well, yeah, that was a perfect example of this system. | ||
| After all these years, after all that we know, after all the jobs that were removed from this country, after all the people who've died every year from fentanyl, 100,000 every year, after all the money that's been lost, after everything, after the disrespect to our In every way, shape, and form, we have people that will still go and toast and pay $4,000 to sit at a table with Xi and hear him talk as if he was Moses coming down from Mount Ararat. | ||
| I mean, it's just insane. | ||
| And there they are. | ||
| They were all in front of us, not ashamed in any way, shape, or form, because it's a global movement for them, and they think that they can bring China into their global agenda. | ||

| In May of 2019, Wang Qishan and Xi told us, after negotiating for two years, they tore up the Lighthizer deal, which had taken care of the seven deadly sins. | ||
| It would have integrated them, truly integrated them, into the global financial model. | ||

| Two years we negotiated. | ||
| That was Trump's greatest triumph. | ||
| And they said, we're not going to do this. | ||

| May of 2019, We'll go down, at least now, and maybe it's coming up, maybe we start in 2024, but up till now, May of 2019, is the most important month in geopolitics in this century, where the Chinese Communist Party said, after two years, knowing what Trump could do, they tore it up and said no, they came back with a smaller deal later. | ||
| And that smaller deal was only driven by Wall Street in there, that worked the Chinese Communist Party to try to get access to their assets. | ||

| Give me, as we're on the eve of it, given your... Who are the elites in this country rooting for in Taiwan in this election, sir? | ||

| It explains their hatred of the Chinese people and the Taiwanese people, too, all of whom they're willing to sacrifice So that they can continue to make their profits, so that they can continue to sustain the world that they want. | ||
| And as Jim said, the communist Chinese are looking at this, they're thanking their lucky stars that they have an American elite who are so stupid, who are strategically illiterate, and know nothing of power politics. | ||
| The way the Chinese communists see the world is through a mocked politic lens. | ||
| It's all about power, and it's all about who rules over whom. | ||
| And they understand that very well. | ||
| And they're thanking their lucky stars that they have an American elite who are so corrupt, so venal, and willing to sell out their own people, the American people, their allies, for what? | ||
| For profits, for a little bit more money. | ||
| And that's the story of the book in large measure. | ||
| We're explaining how China went from a third world country, a poor country, producing about 1.6% of world gross domestic product to about 18%, 19% by 2019. | ||
| And they did that not by themselves, right? | ||
| They did that with this help, support of the American elite. | ||
