| Yeah, listen, this is a matter that has been under investigation by federal prosecutors for five to six years, and the only charges they have arrived at, which are serious ones, are individual tax charges against the President's son and the purchase of a gun by the President's son. | ||
| If there had been evidence of public corruption that touched Joe Biden himself, certainly federal prosecutors under the Trump administration would have seen that. | ||
| I think the other embarrassment here is largely they are talking about activity that happened when Joe Biden was not in office. | ||

| And where it touches the vice presidency, there was no evidence as well. | ||
| And so Republicans have really put themselves in a bad spot. | ||

| Among the 6% of the persuadable voters that will decide the election next November, those that Paul often speaks to, what do they see in this moment? | ||
| Do they see an embarrassment that Republicans have brought upon the nation? | ||
| Or do they buy the storyline? | ||
| And that's where Democrats have to decide how they're going to hit back. | ||
| The Democrats do have to make a political decision here, unfortunately, because Republicans have now launched this missile towards the White House. | ||
| At the end of the year, it's natural to look back on the progress that has been made toward our dual mandate objectives. | ||
| Inflation has eased from its highs, and this has come without a significant increase in unemployment. | ||
| That's very good news. | ||
| But inflation is still too high, ongoing progress in bringing it down is not assured, and the path forward is uncertain. | ||
| As we look ahead to next year, I want to assure the American people that we're fully committed to returning inflation to our 2% goal. | ||
| I have always felt, since the beginning, that there was a possibility because of the unusual situation that the economy could cool off in a way that enabled inflation to come down without the kind of large job losses that have often been associated with high inflation and tightening cycles. | ||
