		I mean, people have to earn the right to be here.
		And I just think from... I mean, he'll admit to you personally, he doesn't have a conservative bent in his philosophy, and just the nature of what he focuses on.
		Do you think the House GOP should consider expelling him?
		Look, that's up to the conference, but I mean, I don't believe the conference will ever heal if there's no consequences for the action.
		What about them surprised you, Bertrand and Mace?
		It just didn't, it seemed out of nature, but they seemed to have changed during the time.
		They care a lot about press, not about policy, so they seem to just want the press and the personality.
		Do you think Mace will have a difficult time winning re-election now?
		Yeah, I don't, well not because of this.
		I mean, if you've watched her, just her philosophy and the flip-flopping, I don't believe she wins re-election.
		I don't think she'll probably have earned the right to get re-elected.
		I think, you look at the district herself, yeah.
		So, in response, these members shooting back at the former Speaker, Matt Gaetz saying, quote, thoughts and prayers to the former Speaker as he works through his grief.
		And I asked Nancy Mace about all this, too.
		She said that she stands by her vote.
		She attacked McCarthy for, quote, lying all the time to her.
		And also Tim Burchett, who said that former Speaker McCarthy is, quote, just bitter, and he said that He says, quote, he'll enter into a successful job in lobbying.
		So you're seeing, Dana, that no love lost here with the former speaker as he is adjusting to this new role as a rank and file member, someone who is not in the room, not dealing with a potential crisis.
		He's gonna do very well.
		funding crisis. One, of course, that ended his speakership not too long ago when he relied on Democratic votes to advance a short-term spending bill, but making very clear that those eight Republicans are still fresh on his mind.

		After months of deliberation and long conversation with my family, I believe in my heart of hearts that I have accomplished what I set out to do for West Virginia.
		I have made one of the toughest decisions of my life and decided that I will not be running for re-election to the United States Senate.
		But what I will be doing is traveling the country and speaking out to see if there is an interest in creating a movement to mobilize the middle and bring Americans together.
		But look, hey, the Senate seat's gone.
		Joe Manchin, you know, Trump was winning that state by 40 points, and Manchin, as Seth Hill said, was defying political gravity.
		But I do think that there is actually a lane for an independent third-party movement.
		I don't think the ground has ever been more fertile.
		Two-thirds of voters don't like either Donald Trump or Joe Biden.
		They think one is too old and one is too crazy.
		There's a lot of people that are looking for another chance, another opportunity.
		And look where Bobby Kennedy Jr.
		is.
		Because R.K.
		Jr.
		is polling at near 20%.
		You've got the other Cornel West.
		He is also going to take some votes.
		And if no labels, and I've been working with him over the years, they're going to try to create ballot access for a more centrist fusion ticket, which could become part of a Joe Manchin or Larry Hogan or Sununu ticket.
		Who knows?
		But there's a lane.
		I'm not saying they can win, but I'm just saying that there's enough dissatisfaction out there.
		It really shows the conference is not united, isn't it?
		It hasn't solved the problem.
		If those they had taken out and myself and you just put somebody else in and you haven't dealt with the consequences for those who put us in this place.
		And I mean, that's why you look.
		We're still wondering whether government's going to be shut down or not.
		That's a real challenge.
		And we're going to have to heal ourselves to be able to serve the people.
		But won't the speaker confront the same problems that you had?
	No.
	Look, you get a honeymoon.
	Um...
	But it was personal.
	It was about an ethics complaint.
	And they can't go through it again.
	I mean, think about how long it took last time.
	So do you think they would do that again?
	And I don't think... I think the Democrats also realize that it wouldn't be smart for the body itself.
	I mean... So even if he goes and relies on Democratic votes the way you had to do it, you think that he would be safe and not be pushed out of the speakership?
	Oh yeah.
	I don't think anybody can make a motion to vacate for the rest of the term.
	I think he's safe regardless.
	You really think that if he does something that upsets them, that nobody will try to push him out for the rest of the Congress?
	No.
	Why?
	What gives you that confidence?
	Who are you going to replace him with?
	You've already taken out Steve Scalise.
	But some of them, they don't seem to care and think about the long-term strategy of this stuff.
	This is too important.
	So that part is actually significant at this moment because they've got to decide how to avoid a government shutdown by the end of next week.
	Will Mike Johnson, the new Speaker, try to keep the government open by passing a bill that relies on Democratic votes?
	That costs Speaker McCarthy his job as Speaker.
	But if Johnson does that, McCarthy thinks that the Republicans who pushed him out simply don't have the stomach to try to push him out, pit Johnson out, if he does the same thing.
	So we'll see how that plays out.
	But that is very important at this key moment.
	Next week, the funding deadline.
	Yeah, next Friday.
	Mike Johnson's keeping his cards close to his vest right now, too, in terms of what he might do.
	McCarthy also brought up some tensions he had with the former House Speaker Nancy Pelosi.
	Tell us about that.
	Yeah, that's right.
	A couple of things.
	One, she occupied office space, which is a valuable commodity in the Capitol, close to the House floor after she was ousted, after she stepped aside as the Speaker.
	But she was ousted from that spot, the office space, because of Kevin McCarthy.
	He said, well, now there's another former speaker, so I'm sorry.
	That was a downplay to her concerns that she raised.
	Also, he said that she told him back in December that she would not support an effort to oust him for the speakership, saying that would be bad for the House.
	And so he is very concerned, not just at the eight Republicans who pushed him out, the former speaker, the current House Democratic leader, This is the primal scream of a dying regime.
	Pray for our enemies.
	a speakership along with those eight Republicans.
	So even though it's been more than a month since he lost a job, all that very fresh on his mind as he adjusts to life as a rank and file member.
	Yeah, I bring a lot of resentment there.

		After a suspect wanted in the January 6th attack evaded authorities.
		This was the scene in Central New Jersey today.
		A massive police presence.
		The FBI and SWAT teams called in.
		ABC's Stephanie Ramos on the scene for us tonight.
		An all-out manhunt tonight in this small central New Jersey town just 40 miles southwest of New York City after this man, wanted in connection to the attack at the Capitol on January 6th, evaded arrest.
		Gregory Yetman, fleeing on foot into the wooded area near his home.
		Police searching from the sky and on the ground.
		According to USA Today, Yetman is suspect number 278 AFO, wanted for assault of a federal officer, pictured at the Capitol in these photos on the FBI's website.
		In an interview earlier this year, Yetman indicated he was at the Capitol that day, but said he did nothing wrong.
		The FBI leading the multi-agency manhunt in the town of Helmetta.
		Officers in tactical gear looking in vehicles.
		Teams moving through backyards armed with long guns and canines.
		There were officers running through everybody's yards.
		Um, asking questions.
		Even though the sun has gone down, we can still see Joint Terrorism Task Force agents going door to door looking for Yetman.
		According to police, Yetman is in his 40s, last seen wearing a red jacket and baseball cap.
		He served in the New Jersey National Guard for 12 years and was honorably discharged in March of 2022.
		They are determined to attain this gentleman today.
		That is their effort.
		Tonight, authorities are urging residents to shelter in place.
		Streets here in Helmetta were closed for a period of time.
		Tactical vehicles and law enforcement officers are still lining this street behind me, which is near the house where authorities believe Yetman was staying.

		So this is After the slaughter of the innocents a month ago, after pro-Hamas lunatics stormed the Speaker's office in Congress, and after what happened this weekend at the White House, this is what I wrote after 30 years of national security counterterrorism.
		This is the letter I wrote to my wife and to my children.

		So this is my plan to protect you based upon more than 30 years in national security and counterterrorism.
		Terrorists want you to be afraid.
		Don't be afraid.
		Be prepared.
		Given what has happened in the last two weeks, I expect the war in Israel to escalate.
		With the jihadi murder of a teacher in France, two Swedes gunned down in Belgium, further Hamas attacks across the Middle East, the attacks in America will be inevitable.
		As a result, we need to make ourselves harder targets for the bastards who want to hurt us simply because we're Americans and because we're Christians.
		For those of us in the family who live in and around DC, And have to go there every day.
		The threat is the highest, given the symbolism of the capital and the number of attractive targets it holds for jihadists.
		Since I am licensed to carry a concealed weapon, I am armed at all times.
		As the saying goes, it's better to have it and not need it, than need it and not have it.
		For those of us who don't have a concealed carry permit, now is the time to get certified and to apply.
		Once you're qualified, train, train, and train.
		Be proficient.
		In the meantime, until you are certified and comfortable, you should carry a defensive means that is legal, that is beneath a gun.
		Prepper spray, mace.
		For those of us living outside of the nation's capital or in municipalities that don't allow you to carry a weapon, there are other options.
		There are Sophisticated terrorist attacks the nation will be susceptible to, but in other parts of America you are most likely to have to deal with a single attacker, a sole gunman or a knife attack, or maybe just an anti-Israeli pro-Hamas demonstration getting violent.
		As a result, in addition to mace or pepper spray, start carrying the backpack I sent you after the last jihadi attack when you are out and about.
		the one with a ballistic panel.
		Make sure it is your standard carriage every day for the next few weeks.
		Today's Kevlar panels are thin and light years advanced from the ones we are used to years ago.
		They will stop multiple rounds of a handgun ammunition at point-blank range.
		Trust me, I've tested them.
		The best scenario, of course, is not to get in harm's way in the first place.
		To that end, avoid unnecessary exposure.
		That means crowd events which are attractive to the jihadis because of the concentration of innocent victims.
		It also means visits to symbolic locales such as those in New York.
		Wherever you go, remember what I taught you years ago when you were children.
		At the mall, in the restaurant, note all the exits.
		For example, if an attacker comes in through the front door of a restaurant, people will automatically rush the door, moving right into the kill zone.
		But every store, every restaurant has a rear entrance, so wherever you walk into a place to eat or a place to shop, make note of alternative exits, not just the one you came in through.
		If an attack does happen and you cannot fight or escape straight away, understand the difference between cover and concealment.
		Concealment is just a chair.
		It won't stop bullets.
		Cover is a structural column made of steel or concrete that will stop bullets.
		Know the difference.
		We will not live in fear.
		But for the next few weeks or months, let's make it as hard as possible for the filth Who hate America and our civilization to hurt us.
		You are the most precious things to me and your mother.

		I don't want to spend, by the way, he says, hey, you know, we're going to we're going to take apart the administrative state.
		We're going to take apart the deep state.
		We're just we're going to do that.
		And, you know, we're not going to back off.
		We're not going to back off from that.
		And that's going to be something you guys are going to have to live with because this is one of the tasks and purposes of this of this campaign.
		I want to go to Semaphore has got a really good story that that's their lead.
		But the second story they've got is a group of Jewish billionaires.
		A group of genius billionaires, and many of these people are some of the biggest never-Trumpers ever, but these Jewish billionaires have come up with this idea and, you know, they've looked around and they've seen this stuff and they've come up with, oh, what we're going to do, their net worth I think combined is, I think they said $500 billion.
		So they're going to come up with $50 million.
		They're going to pitch in $50 million.
		And here's what they're going to do.
		They're going to do an ad campaign.
		That shows the Palestinian people in the world that they're pro-Palestinian people, they're anti-Hamas, they're pro-Palestinian people.
		And they're gonna, you know, they're really gonna, you know, they're gonna have some smart, you know, advertisers do this, some very smart people do this, some people in the industry do this.
		And this is a collection of people you can imagine, the Mike Milkins, the Ari Emanuels, the Steve Schwarzman.
		They're both people that are the Never Trump part of the Republican Party, but a lot of very progressive Jewish billionaires who have put a lot of money into these causes that have focused on open borders, have focused on, you know, mass refugees and asylum.
		have focused on, quite frankly, destroying the standards in our school, have really pushed woke society.
		But here's their solution.
		Given all the problems they've caused, here's their solution.
		We're going to put in $50 million and we're going to do an ad campaign.
		And that ad campaign is going to, you know, it's really going to change hearts and minds.
		People do not understand what is happening here.
		If these billionaires, you know, they're worth, I don't know, $500 billion in aggregate, the top names in, you know, progressive Jewish philanthropy and some Republicans in there too, if they think that making some TV spots and maybe a documentary or doing some social media and maybe doing a TikTok or two, you're going to TikTok this way, that that is going to change that crowd you just saw in Washington, D.C., particularly as

		They're just getting geared up to go to take on Hamas, the Muslim Brotherhood franchisee in Gaza.
		And you hear this fantasy talk out there about, oh yeah, we're going to have a two-party state.

		You're not listening to them.
		They're not doing this again.
		And they're going to take this one to the bitter end, and it's only going to get nastier and uglier.
