Speaker Time Text

Now joining us, one of the people holding up an agreement to fund the government, Florida Republican Congressman Matt Gaetz.
Congressman, thank you very much for being here this morning.
matt gaetz
Thank you.
I'm glad I get to respond to your monologue because if you're saying that I'm standing in the way of all the Republican wins, I'd love you to enumerate them.
Watching my friend and mentor Jim Jordan, it was quite painful because he started by saying we should only pick one fight, the border.
But then as the interview went on, he said, well, we should pick a second fight, Jack Smith.
And by the time the interview rounded out, he was saying that we shouldn't be funding Ukraine without a plan.
And yet the very continuing resolution that you and Jim Jordan seem to be for continues to have $300 million more for Ukraine.
So I think we ought to fight on all fronts.
I think the border is very important.
And the best way for us to advance the Republican border policies is to pass the Department of Homeland Security appropriations bill.
Do that along with veterans, defense, ag, state and foreign ops.
We'll have 73 percent of the discretionary budget funded.
And if you know the Department of Labor and Education have to shut down for a few days as we get their appropriations in line, that's certainly not something that is is optimal.
But I think it's better than continuing on the current path we are to America's financial ruin.
unidentified
Congressman, I understand.
And that is why you are on this program this morning, because I want to give you a fair shot and I want to get you heard.
So tell me why you are threatening Speaker McCarthy and trying to shut down this government at a time that the Republicans have finally gotten some upper hands here in terms of wins, able to investigate President Biden on what looks like bribery.
matt gaetz
Yeah, we don't put our pencils down in the investigation of President Biden during a shutdown, so the premise is false.
Second, if Kevin McCarthy was actually serious about pursuing the Bidens, he would have sent Hunter Biden a subpoena by now.
That's how you know this is sort of failure theater that you're observing.
During the first year of Democrat control of the Congress, they brought in Donald Trump Jr.
three times over nothing, over a nothing burger.
And so we seem to be fundamentally unserious in our oversight, but what is serious is the fact that we are spending more than $7 trillion a year, bringing in around $5 trillion a year, and I want to fund the government.
I'm not pro-shutdown, but the way to fund the government is not the same way we've been doing it since the mid-'90s, where it's one up or down vote on the entire government all We should have separate, single-subject spending bills.
Kevin McCarthy promised that in January.
He is in breach of that promise.
So I'm not here to hold the government hostage.
I'm here to hold Kevin McCarthy to his word.
unidentified
Are their Freedom Caucus members also out of compliance?
They were also on the Appropriations Committee.
Where is the responsibility for them?
Are they also out of compliance?
matt gaetz
No, I'm not a member of the Freedom Caucus.
I'll let them speak for themselves.
But take, for example, the border.
This issue, you think, has great primacy, and I would agree with you.
The Department of Homeland Security appropriations bill was passed out of the Appropriations Committee in June, and yet Kevin McCarthy hasn't put it on the floor in more than a hundred days.
That is not serious.
You know why Kevin McCarthy didn't move our border appropriations bill?
Because the lobbyists and the special interests who own Kevin McCarthy want to put us in this position where we're backed up against the wall facing shutdown politics and what that does is it centralizes power to the people that they buy off with PAC donations and lobbyist donations and then the membership doesn't get to make real contributions to that process.
I'm trying to democratize it.
unidentified
The bills are being worked on.
You just heard Jim Jordan say that they are efforting four bills this week, appropriations bills this week, to get through.
That would partially fund the government.
The defense bill as well, you wanted the defense bill to move forward.
Did you not?
matt gaetz
Yes, that's why I voted for it and I voted for the rule to proceed on to it.
And by the way, don't give Kevin McCarthy credit for the fact that we're moving on to these four appropriations bills.
That was the deal that House conservatives foisted upon Kevin McCarthy when he couldn't just move the big spending bills without moving the bills that cut spending.
We said, no, no, no, you have to move bills like the state and foreign ops bill because we don't think we should be borrowing money from China to go fund gay pride parades in Prague or LGBTQ Uh, you know, seminars in Indonesia.
We don't think that that's a good use of our money.
And the only way to do this, Maria, is line by line.
Kevin wants it in one big up or down vote, keep the government open, shut it down.
I'm saying single-subject spending bills.
It's the only way to break the fever and liberate ourselves from this out-of-control spending.
unidentified
Well, he's doing the four bills next week!
matt gaetz
Because we're making him!
Because we're making him!
unidentified
But he's doing it!
So to push now to blow up all of the wins that you all have had now... Which wins?
matt gaetz
Please enumerate them.
unidentified
Well, okay.
Well, how about the fact that he has set up a weaponization committee to investigate the DOJ, whether they're involved in a cover-up?
That's process.
Hold on.
Wait a second.
Hold on.
How about the fact that he has set up the China Select Committee to keep China to account?
And of course, he has launched this inquiry into impeachment, potentially, for President Biden.
Is that not what you want?
matt gaetz
None of those things are deliverables.
Those are steps in a process.
Setting up a committee is an end unto itself only in Washington, D.C.
These committees have done nothing to reduce inflation.
They've done nothing to actually constrain the Biden government.
We can set up committees and have hearings and yell at people, but at the end of the day, if we still send the check to fund a weaponized government, having a weaponization subcommittee is little relief to the American people.
And if any of this was serious, we would be sending out subpoenas and compelling process the way the January 6th committee did.
We should be operating like them.
Instead, we're playing patty cake with the Bidens.
We're allowing them to get away with it and we're funding it.
We're sending the money.
If we're serious, use the power of the purse.
unidentified
The speaker joined me a week ago and told me that he will in fact subpoena Hunter Biden.
He said at the appropriate time, but let's be clear.
matt gaetz
It's been eight months.
unidentified
We would not know any of this.
matt gaetz
When do you think the appropriate time is?
unidentified
We would not know any of this.
matt gaetz
How many months should the American people have to wait before that subpoena is sent?
You tell me.
unidentified
We would not know anything that we know about the Biden family.
176 suspicious activity reports.
20 shell companies set up while he was vice president.
The whistleblower testimony.
We would not know any of this if not for those committees that he set up exposing all of this.
We just heard from Merrick Garland last week.
matt gaetz
But you have to follow that to its natural conclusion.
It's not enough to expose facts that get people angry and animated.
You then have to follow those facts to a conclusion and to accountability.
You see, that's what Republicans are bad at.
We're great at having the hearings and putting on the performances, but if you're still going to underwrite Biden's debt, which is what Kevin McCarthy did joining with Democrats on the debt limit deal, And if you're going to join up with Democrats to still fund this government, Merrick Garland will sit there and he'll answer my tough questions and he'll smirk at me or he'll obfuscate.
And then guess what?
He goes back to the Justice Department and the coffers are full with money from the American taxpayer that gets turned against the brave patriots in this country.
What about the January 6th tapes?
Kevin promised he was going to release those.
unidentified
I'm still waiting.
Well, the January 6th tapes are available to anybody who wants to see them.
He gave them and allowed Tucker Carlson and his team to see them.
matt gaetz
It is true.
Maria, they are not available to anyone who wants to see them.
That is a factual misstatement.
They have been curated for some people in the media and some defense attorneys, but any American cannot see any of the January 6th.
unidentified
That is a false statement.
Are you not, right now, indirectly working with Democrats because you are going to allow Chuck Schumer to come up with a continuing resolution next week to fund the government?
That's what your actions are doing.
That's why some people feel this is a personal vendetta you have against the Speaker.
matt gaetz
No, my vendetta is against a Washington system that allows corruption to put the interests of lobbyists and PACs above the interests of the American people.
Kevin McCarthy facilitates that system, and I do deeply resent that.
But I'm not working with Chuck Schumer or any other Democrat.
I am the one working with House Conservatives to require single-subject spending bills.
No, no, no.
You guys criticize me for forcing single-subject spending bills, then you give Kevin McCarthy the credit for doing it.
unidentified
Okay, welcome.
It's Monday, 25 September, the year of our Lord 2023.
steve bannon
Why hasn't he done them? It's September. We knew September 30th was coming all year and Kevin McCarthy has been dilatory He's been fiddling like As we understand it they're doing this this upcoming week so we will be watching we are making them there Okay, welcome it's Monday 25 September the year of our Lord 2023 it is yom kippur The high or guess the end of the high holy days the day of

atonement in the Jewish faith Peace.
steve bannon
Right there, Maria Bartiromo is unquestionably the single best person in all business media.
And she is the fairest.
And she's actually true MAGA.
There's been no better supporter of President Trump or the MAGA movement.
We open today, not even bringing the show on, we open cold with that today Because the last 48 hours have been incredibly important.
And here's why.
You see even the fighting and maybe misunderstanding on our side of the football with allies like Maria Bartiromo and like Mark Levin.
And obviously the populist nationalist movement disagrees with Mark a lot.
He's a constitutional conservative.
But Mark Levin's a good man.
Mark Levin's a fighter.
And there's a lot of disagreement.
What is most important in this fog of war is to remain absolutely, completely focused on the task at hand.
And that's where Maria Bartiromo and Matt Gaetz, just an incredible segment yesterday on Fox Business that really kicked off an explosion of vitriol and finger-pointing, but also I think people coming together and start to understand it.
I'm going to play in a second Maria Bartiromo.
Remember, her Sunday show, Sunday Morning Future, and I recommend everybody watch that every Sunday.
It is by far the most important of all the Sunday shows, including ones over at Broadcast.
But yesterday was explosive, and I'm going to get to her today on her morning business show.
Remember, Maria's on five days a week.
In the morning on Fox and on Fox business, and then she's on a regular Fox.
I think in the with the futures show Incredibly important huge throwdown yesterday, and we're going to get to a second with with what she said this morning the key point is these appropriations bill the only way you're going to get close the gap from the seven trade to the five train is actually go through each bill and Point by point, line by line, have voteramas, have all of it.
President Trump, a massive change overnight, I shouldn't say change, but President Trump came out last night on truth and threw down about as hard as you can get.
To support taking a hard line here on this on the on the on the fake deadline of the government shutdown.
The key thing is to get the is Russ vote and Gates and everybody keep telling get into these individual appropriations bill and get out the woke and get out the weaponized.
And also start to make the massive cuts.
CNN's got another great story up this morning, said this all gets down to cuts in federal spending.
Okay, we're going to take a break.
We're going to play this morning Maria Bartiromo's dialogue this morning on her show.
Let's go and play it.
unidentified
Welcome back and now a word about my interview yesterday with Florida Congressman Matt Gaetz who joined me to discuss the budget battle.
Democracy is messy.
Matt Gaetz is an important voice in the process.
House Leadership Speaker Kevin McCarthy is also an important voice in the process.
My show, Sunday Morning Futures, is an important part of the process because we are searching for truth and always will.
Our platform Matters.
I tried yesterday to lay out the issues around the budget battle.
Congressman Gates' attacks on the Speaker and the GOP's reaction to Joe Biden's bad policies.
In a nutshell, Matt Gaetz said we should have separate single-subject spending bills.
McCarthy is also pushing to get individual subject bills through, but collectively those bills add up to the same spending number that we were spending at the top of the COVID emergency.
Matt Gaetz is pushing for individual bills to come in with a cut in spending year over year.
The way to fix this is to give all of those bills a major haircut.
The problem is we knew this day was coming.
Why weren't these bills done before this week?
I still questioned why Republicans can't get on the same page.
Why move to a government shutdown and attack the Speaker of the House, blow up the House effectively, undermining the work that they've already done?
But Congressman Gates came back saying, we can't govern the way we have in the past.
We are spending $7 trillion a year, but we're taking in just $5 trillion.
The spending must be cut.
He also questioned how serious Republicans are about investigating Joe Biden when, in fact, we still have yet to see a subpoena of Hunter Biden.
Good point.
I'm very proud of the interviews conducted.
This Sunday, I posed the right questions, tough questions, to Matt Gates.
Who took on those questions and answered them with practical ideas.
He did well.
As did my other guests Jim Jordan, Mark Levin, Mike Lee and Larry Elder.
My priority was to give Matt Gaetz a fair shot.
He's calling for action from Speaker McCarthy.
He didn't seem to care if the government shut down or not.
After all, this is the government, by the way, who gave the IRS bullets, and the government which has been weaponized against American citizens.
Governments shut down all the time.
In fact, Mark Levin told me that in the eight years that he worked for the Reagan administration, the government shut down six times.
So what?
matt gaetz
I think we ought to fight on all fronts.
I think the border is very important and the best way for us to advance the Republican border policies is to pass the Department of Homeland Security appropriations bill.
Do that along with veterans, defense, ag, state and foreign ops.
We'll have 73% of the discretionary budget funded and if you know the Department of Labor and Education have to shut down for a few days as we get their appropriations in line.
That's certainly not something that is optimal, but I think it's better than continuing on the current path we are to America's financial ruin.
unidentified
Yes, it may seem like chaos at the end of the day, but lawmakers are trying to stop the Democrats' wild spending, which has caused massive inflation.
maria bartiromo
Some have specific priorities, such as no more money to government agencies who turn their ire against their political enemies, like Jack Smith's investigation into President Trump.
unidentified
Others want to stop the money sent to Ukraine until the U.S.
border is secure.
And most want to ensure the Department of Defense is funded in a more dangerous way.
Here's your host, Stephen K. Bannon.
steve bannon
In the land of the blind, the one-eyed man is king.
I want to welcome all the one-eyed men and women here joining us in the room today.
It has been your efforts that have had the back of these patriots from the beginning.
Remember, this is the, this is act three in the drama.
The first was in, and this is after the huge fight and going door-to-door and some brainwaves even get the majority that we got.
The first act was in January.
Remember, you were called agents of chaos.
You were called people who were bringing the whole government down.
And remember, we were going to start so late on at impeaching Mayorkas and all the great efforts that were going to be underway, everything you were doing and fighting for, for these rules changes.
And at the time, people were going, why are these people spending all this time on these arcane rules?
Because if you want to do something except yell over your lunch pail, about the Leviathan, the deep state, the administrative state, the massive apparatus that has been created extra constitutional by the globalist, by the world economic forum types, by the progressive left, then you have to get into it and you have to take it apart brick by brick.
You're just not going to wave a magic wand.
You have to understand how we got here.
We got here through decades and decades and decades of just rolling over, of just being performative.
That's how we got here.
You got here to essentially today you've got seven trillion, five trillion cash coming in and that's dropping because of the slowdown in the economy and E.J.
Antoni is going to be on here in a minute.
We're going to go through the actual under the hood of what's happening and why tax revenues are dropping and why you're having bigger deficits and how those bigger deficits, you're in a vicious cycle.
What is it?
Kelly Evans, I think, over at CNBC has got a great article up about, hey, if the Fed is kind of holding tight with interest rates and not raising, why are they continuing to go up?
Why are we having more defaults over in credit cards?
Why are the credit cards out of control?
The reason is the refunding of the government.
Why?
Because bigger deficits.
And it's costing more money as you roll over those zero interest bonds or low interest bonds to higher.
You know, we've had 500 basis point increase.
This is the power of this audience.
We've, over the last couple of years, worked to explain to you the actual mechanics of how the federal apparatus works.
And so that you can see for the first time that a working class and middle class audience actually has the tools in the toolbox to say, you know, as I think about this, I'm not so sure that this is the way to go.
And I'm not so sure that this is a fair way to go.
And I'm not so sure that this is the American way to go.
And so that's why the Fuhrer, and it is, the intensity is only going to increase.
Look, Maria Bartiromo, is not just fair, but she presents the most open and accessible MAGA business show out there.
This is one of the reasons it's so powerful.
She's inherently, you know, I'm honored to know her personally.
Not only is she a great person, she's a fighter.
She's a fighter, and you've seen her every Sunday, right?
I don't need to tell you this.
And you see even there, right, where the conflicts are.
Mark Levin, yesterday, Mark Levin is a believer in liberty and freedom, and there's been no bigger fighter than that for Mark.
And I realize there's a, you know, we have disagreements between the populist wing and the constitutional conservative wing, but Mark Levin is a good man and he's a fighter.
And look, these are our natural allies.
These are people who are no-nonsense people.
These are people that want to make sure that we get and we can bequeath and go forward with a constitutional republic.
Not what we have today.
President Trump came out last night.
If I can pull this up, I will read it.
There we are right there.
Let me read this because this is quite powerful.
This is from President Trump.
And if Denver could be so kind as maybe do a split screen or put this up.
You can put it up.
You don't need to see my lovely visage.
By the way, I got shit.
What a way to kick up.
You know, it's a big week.
When Bannon is not only shaved, he's tanned, rested, and ready.
Right?
Okay, this is from President Trump.
The Republicans lost big on debt ceiling, got nothing, and now are worried that they will be blamed for the budget shutdown.
Wrong!
Whoever is president will be blamed.
In this case, crooked as hell Joe Biden.
Our country is being systematically destroyed by the radical left Marxists, fascists, and thugs.
The Democrats.
Unless you get everything, shut it down.
Close the border, stop the weaponization of justice, and end election interference.
We must have honest elections.
It's time Republicans learned how to fight.
Are you listening, Mitch McConnell, the weakest, dumbest, most conflicted leader in U.S.
Senate history?
He's already given the Democrats everything.
They can't believe how lucky they got.
We need new and real Republican leadership in the United States Senate, not a clone of Mitch, and we need it now.
Andy Biggs, Andy Biggs, Matt Rosen, all these people up this morning saying the central thing.
The central thing is if we are to Start to get control of the Leviathan.
You have to go through how the Leviathan is financed.
The Leviathan is financed in this process, this fiscal irresponsibility.
Fiscal irresponsibility where we continue to let things go forward that we can't afford and quite frankly don't want and that is destroying this Republic.
There's only one way to get that.
For everybody out there, and particularly sometimes I see these sites and some of these other podcasts and people send me all these things, you just think this wave of magic wand is going to go away.
It doesn't work like that.
We're dealing in the real world.
It is a nasty, tough fight in the trenches.
In the trenches.
And this is like power football.
We're just going to line up and grind this one out.
And we're winning.
That's what's got them so upset.
What are so upset?
We exposed all their lies.
Remember, let's pull the camera back for a second.
The first fight was in January to get the rules and to make McCarthy make commitments on the 14th round or 15th round when he got his speakership.
The second was the debt ceiling, and they sold the country on the debt ceiling.
And I want to bring up particularly a person who's, you know, it's like Don, the new Don Bacon is Garrett Graves of Louisiana.
A guy who's never had a job, ever, you know, always been some sort of staff flunky or driver-forbidder or, you know, one of these guys down in Louisiana, just always in the political process, and you know how the politics down in Louisiana are.
So he's some grundoon who's never had a job.
He was put in charge of the debt ceiling negotiation.
And all he did, the only thing in the debt ceiling that they were worried about is the donor class.
The donor said, these numbers are so bad that if you just go to the one-year deal, right, which everybody's agreed to, although the war room and the 20 and the 6 hated it, We prepared to do it because it was a one-year deal and you could show that Biden would be out of compliance immediately then you could shut the whole thing down.
They wanted two years uncapped.
Why?
The donors never wanted to have the discussion at the beginning of the general election season next year in April and May when this deal would come up.
That people would look around and say, hey, look, we got to cut the budget.
We have we have to have massive cuts in federal spending.
We also have to think about how this thing's going to be financed.
But but in addition, at some time, unless you're going to make bigger cuts, you're going to have to raise taxes on the wealthy, the super wealthy, the billionaires, the hedge funds, the big corporations, because they're the drivers of most of this.
All these politicians report, this is why Gates is kind of unusual.
This is why Trump in 16 was unusual.
They never took any lobbyist money, never took any corporation money.
They're not beholden.
The rest of the city just works at the behest of the lobbyists and the giant corporations who want more spending.
They're the beneficiaries of it.
Oh, yes, yes, yes, yes, yes.
People get hired and you get, you know, you get a paycheck, but you're getting destroyed in debt slavery on the other side.
That's why there's no cuts.
Why can't there be cuts?
Because the moneyed interests don't want cuts.
And the moneyed interests also don't want to pay any taxes.
You just had Kudlow and Moore up there talking to the President.
They want to get the corporate tax rates to 14-15%.
The most woke part of the American establishment, the corporates, because they kind of report to the billionaire class, the major shareholders.
Or even the Larry Finks that take your money.
Remember the trashy years both your tax dollars and your pension funds are used to destroy you.
To destroy your family, to destroy you, make you a debt slave, make your children debt slaves.
That's the Greek tragedy part of this.
And why has it never changed?
Because nobody's ever really presented you the information to empower you to force change.
When I say force change, They are not simply going to sit there on even just any one election and say what a lovely idea.
The populist movement, the people, are now empowered and they want change.
Why don't we just toss them the keys?
You saw that in 16.
The nullification project on President Trump.
Because they weren't, we caught them sleeping.
That's how we won.
We caught them unaware.
We had the greatest candidate, we had a plane, we had a candidate, we had issues.
And we had the people.
But when Trump was elected, it's not like they sat there and go, oh, this is terrific.
These guys won this come from behind victory.
Let's just toss Trump and this band of pirates the keys.
No, they fought him every, every step of the way, the whole Russia hoax, all of it.
And this is where we are today.
If you want to shut down the deep state, if you want to deconstruct the administrative state, you got to cut it off.
You got to cut its oxygen off.
And that means it's money.
And that means go through these appropriations bill and have these voteramas and find out who's on our side and who's not.
Let's put to votes.
And so when President Trump and Matt Gaetz say we got to imbrust vote, we have to get into these independent appropriations bill and find out.
Remember, there's only been, until they got back here a couple days ago, there only been 15 workdays.
I think 12 to 15 workdays since mid-June.
McCarthy and the establishment and the cartel never wanted this to come up.
They laid out this crisis.
We kept saying all the time, we're the appropriation bill, why are we taking six weeks off?
They wanted this to happen.
To have their phony crisis, oh my gosh, we're going to shut down the monuments.
Look at them running around, look how immature they're running.
All they're focused on is this little thing of this interim funding.
Big deal.
As Lauren Bovert said the other day, so it's a week or two.
So what?
We don't care.
What we care about What we care about is the destruction of this republic.
What we care about is the destruction of this country.
We're not going to tolerate it.
And the way we're going to make a stand, this is the hill to die on right here, is to out everybody.
You're either with us or you're Guinness on shutting down the Leviathan, cutting it off, choking out its oxygen.
And this is going to get quite nasty, ladies and gentlemen, and you're going to be blamed for a lot.
The domestic terrorism crowd, Okay, over the last 48 hours, two things have happened.
unidentified
Ok, over the last 48 hours, two things have happened.
steve bannon
One is this now the fight down and dirty.
And remember, we don't care if it goes past midnight on the 30th of September.
Thank you.
That's just a tough break for some swell guys and gals.
This should have been done months and months ago, and we're not gonna get off this.
And anybody that comes up with a CR is not serious about, oh we just need a couple weeks, that's not, no.
It's just giving a heroin addict more heroin.
It's not serious.
Graves, and this is why I got such a Graves, like Bacon in Womack in Arkansas, and French Hill in Arkansas, and Simpson in Idaho.
These guys from very, very red districts that work for the other side, because that's what this is.
Graves now, think about it for a second, being the grundoon at McCarthy, and here's a guy that's never had a job.
McCarthy's never had a job, except run a hunt.
You had two guys that never had a job with McHenry with the bowtie, Basically never had a real job in finance.
They negotiated a $15 trillion spending deal with no cap on deficits.
That's what we told you at the time.
$2 trillion.
We were right and they lied.
I'm not even sure they lied.
I'm just I don't think they're just not competent to understand the math here.
And now Graves is out all weekend wandering around the Capitol, right?
Trying to look like he's from the war room.
No ball cap, unshaven, work shirt on, man of the people.
And all he's doing is trashing Gates and Rosendale and Biggs and these heroes that are fighting all weekend, who are there fighting to make sure that we get through this process and get to these individual bills and fight each one out and have Votoramas.
I think there's 400 amendments already on that first package.
Now they're not going to vote on 400, but it's going to be out there and you're going to get exposed to it.
And once again, just like President Trump said, this is the only way to get down to it and start to have massive cuts and also understand what you're financing.
What you're financing is outrageous.
The whole thing with W.H.O.
and all the, giving up the sovereignty, you're financing that.
All the invasion of the southern border, you're financing that.
All the woke, every veteran out there, active duty service personnel, everything you've seen inside the armed services, Your beloved Army, my Navy, Moe's Army, the Marine Corps, the Marine Corps, one of the greatest, if not the greatest fighting force ever put together in man's history, what they're doing in the woke there, you're paying for it.
This is the way you expose it.
You find out who's with us and who's not.
And you take this thing apart brick by brick and fight it.
And it's going to take a couple of weeks.
It should have taken months, but hey, we can, we can, but guess what?
You're not going to get done by, by midnight.
And it's not the end of the world.
In fact, it's just another thing that they want to make the biggest deal in the world.
No, you didn't get your job done.
Now you have the Senate coming, you're going to get hit from every direction.
In graves, the people that originated this are calling you arsonist.
That you just want to burn it all down.
You're arsonist.
You're arsonist.
The one set that is the adults in the room, the one set of people that are the adults in the room, Are being called the arsonist.
That you're bad.
This is another thing from the insurrectionist, domestic terrorist, now arsonist.
When you are the one group that is trying to save the Republic, let me be blunt.
The math doesn't work here.
If we continue on, we will be cursed as a generation.
By Americans in the future, because at the moment in time, we could, at the last moment, we could pull it back from the cliff.
We didn't do it.
We just went along and played, just took the easy route and played the games and allowed the United States citizens to become slaves to international capital markets.
Slaves to international capital markets.
The end of the dollar empire.
The end of the dollars of prime reserve currency.
And I'm not supporting the dollars of prime reserve currency as something that's without risk or without obligations or without problems.
What I'm arguing, you just can't blow out of that.
You blow out of that and the system we have set up here in the United States, it will be devastating to working class and middle class people.
Devastating.
Devastating.
To show that we're on the right path.
Do you know that we're on the right path?
And the American people are getting it and they're listening and they're sitting there going, hey, and this is with all the mainstream media and Fox News and all of it.
The whole Murdoch empire, the Wall Street Journal, the New York Post, Michael Goodwin, a terrific guy.
He's got, you know, he's got Gates and these guys as arsonists, right?
You've got, you've got the Wall Street Journal, the New York Post, Fox Business, Fox News, MSNBC, CNN, New York Times, Financial Times of London, all of it.
Pile on, time after time after time, all the radio, time after time, you're a domestic terrorist, you're an arsonist.
Oh, he's going to shut down the government!
He's going to shut down the government!
unidentified
Oh!
steve bannon
Donald Trump's up by 10 points.
Yesterday, a complete, not just a fight of gates, the second line of attack, the Washington Post, the Bezos, Amazon, Washington Post, ABC News poll.
Trump up 10.
The Trump up 10 is the best news for them in that poll.
The undercard, the cross tabs, eviscerate Biden.
Essentially say the American people wait to measure this guy and they want him gone.
This is going to cause all kinds of other moves.
You see Newsom and Big Mike and others starting to make, right?
That is shocked them.
and every demographic and you particularly see Hispanic and African-American men come to our cause, come to our side because their lived experience of the economy. You can't tell these people that the things are great, Biden's office is working, look at the lives experienced their own lives and it's going to get worse. Let me bring in EJ and Tony.
EJ, talk to me about interest rates, the economy.
Kelly Evans over at CNBC.
Peace didn't get a lot of play.
She just makes a very technical about refunding the U.S.
government because a lot of the notes are short-term.
They roll over.
They've been at super low interest rates because of the financial crisis in 2008 and the keeping of interest rates near zero.
Now they're coming up with 500 basis point minimum POP Right?
The interest rates are going to get bigger and bigger and bigger.
It's accelerating at an accelerating rate.
E.J.
and Tony, where are we, brother?
ej antoni
Steve, we're in really bad shape.
Thank you for having me, and I wish I had more, I wish I had better news for you today, but unfortunately this is very similar to a family that takes out a bunch of credit cards with low introductory APR.
In other words, the interest rate is zero or darn close to it, and they rack up a ton of debt on these credit cards, but then when the interest rate goes up, the monthly payments go through That's where we are right now with the federal government.
in a situation where the minimum amount that you can pay each month isn't even covering the finance charges. In other words, even if you're not spending more, the finance charges continue to add to your balance so that the financing charges each month go up at an accelerating rate.
That's where we are right now with the federal government.
As you just said, we have all of this debt that was originally financed at very, very low interest rates, but the Treasury doesn't have any money to actually pay off debt when it comes due. So it simply rolls it over. And the problem now is that when you roll over debt, the old rate doesn't matter. It's of no significance.
What matters is current rates.
And so debt that was previously issued at 1 or 2% is now going to have to be issued at 5% or more.
And in the next year alone, not only is the Treasury going to borrow about $2 trillion, but about $8 trillion of low interest rate debt is going to roll over.
In other words, it's almost $10 trillion in the next year that's going to have to be issued as new debt at about 5%.
We're looking at 500 billion dollars in annual interest on that portion alone.
steve bannon
Hold it.
Increase.
Hang on right there.
Do you see Graves or McCarthy or McHenry with the little bowtie?
Is anybody coming forward and having this conversation with you?
Trying to treat you like an adult?
Everybody has a business out there.
Everybody has a family.
You have to plan downrange.
You have to look ahead.
As imperfect as sometimes your forecasts are, your planning, you have to do it.
We're going to hit a tsunami.
of refinancing of the $33 trillion that's been financed already.
Parts of it coming up, as EJ says, $2 trillion more because of the deficit that they don't want to address, and another $8 trillion of old debt that comes up for refinancing.
That's $10 trillion.
This is the other thing about crowding out what this has done.
It's a death spiral.
It's called crowding out.
It also starts to crowd out the opportunities in the private sector to raise money and to have capital that can be put back into productive things that are productive.
This was the whole fight over the death ceiling, right?
We had this fight over the death ceiling and they stabbed us in the back in the middle of the night.
The original sin Of this group of crooks.
And that's Graves is a crook, McCarthy's a crook, McHenry's a crook.
They look you in the eye and lie to you.
This was all known.
We talked about it.
In depth.
And now it's coming to fruition.
And you know what they want to do?
Run around with some trinket.
Right?
Oh, put a border bill up here and 8% of what?
And for how many days?
It's absurd.
Talk to me like an adult.
Stop giving me the nonsense.
And of course they're going to run around saying we've got to cut Social Security and Medicare.
The problem is that big Social Security check you get every month.
That's the problem.
That's not the problem.
That's not the problem.
The problem are the lobbyists and the oligarchs that run the imperial capital and refuse to address it.
The reason they refuse to address it, they're making more money than they ever made.
And they're going to continue it until somebody stops them.
Until somebody stops them.
The only way they can be stopped is an empowered Electorate.
People that actually understand what's going on and say, you know what?
We're not going to do that.
I can't do that in my family.
I won't let my kids do that.
It can't happen.
I won't allow it to happen in my family.
I can't.
I'll be bankrupt.
We are bankrupt.
The only thing that keeps us away from a foreclosure is that we're the prime reserve currency.
The greatest export we have is the U.S.
dollar.
Every transaction in the world, well it used to be until the BRICS met, in the de-dollarization movement, Had to be done in U.S.
dollars.
That's why the Fed can continue to print it.
That's why E.J., they can finance the 10 trillion.
If you took away us as the prime reserve currency, do you understand with us having to finance 10 trillion dollars in one year going forward, that's almost a trillion dollars a month?
We would make Argentina look like a source of stability.
This is the precipice we're on.
And they don't have enough common decency to address you like adults.
They still put up, think about all the time that's been spent on Fox News and Graves and McCarthy running around, you know, Oh, we got to fund the government.
You have a short-term gap.
Forget the short-term gap.
We're not, we don't care about it.
We don't care about a week or two weeks or three weeks or four weeks.
That is not the point.
The point is that we're very close, we're on the precipice, and we're getting very close to a point of no return.
I've said this for a long time.
The decisions here, and in cutting the budget, they're not easy.
People have gotten used to this.
All the easy decisions are decades ago.
Are decades ago.
There are no easy choices.
So when you don't have easy choices, you need adults that understand, gosh, this could be hard, this could be tough.
All of this is going to be tough.
But if it's not done, you see that 27% APR you're paying on your credit card right now?
Stand by, baby.
It's gonna get lost.
If you can even get credit, remember the contraction of credit, you can't even get it today.
And those of you who have it, CNBC reports on Saturday, the banks are writing off record amounts now.
Why?
Because you can't afford it.
You're living paycheck to paycheck.
Your gap financing has been that credit card.
Which has now come back to haunt you.
Right now, it's all on your shoulders.
And you have the vote.
The reason they hate this, and the reason they're doing all this, and you're an arsonist, you're a domestic terrorist, they hate the fact that you, this audience, has jammed them up.
And you forced them to the table.
Short break.
EJ is going to be on the other side.
back in a moment world you steven this is how you get to the calculation that the interest charges the interest charges are going to be as much as defense in the defense budget out of control at $880 billion.
Really, when you add everything up, it keeps saying it's a trillion.
You're going to be at a trillion in interest expense quickly.
The calculation.
You've got 33 trillion dollars now of debt.
You have 10 trillion, another 2 trillion that has to be financed right out of the box because they won't cut spending.
And then you've got 8 trillion that has to be refinanced from the almost zero interest rates originally that was sold for.
Now 500 basis points higher, 5%.
The math doesn't work.
2-0-2-2-2-5-3-1-2-1.
When you call today to light these folks up, just ask them the question, can you please explain to me how we're going to finance ten trillion dollars, eight trillion that rolls over and two trillion of new spending because you won't cut anything and all you're worried about is this phony little, oh my gosh the government's going to shut down, the government's going to shut down.
Anybody that says that man up I'm so sick of your whining.
So sick of you.
unidentified
Oh, it's gonna, we need a short stopgap measure.
steve bannon
Why do you think about that in June?
When every day we hammered, where are these appropriations bills?
They played games on purpose to jam it up and to do the same thing the cartel always does.
And now that you have enough intestinal fortitude to stop them, what does Graves call you?
An arsonist.
Anybody in his district, it's just like Massachusetts, you should be ashamed of yourself having that guy represent you.
Another Cosmo man.
Like they think pretty boys can sit there and go with the sticks.
We need warriors.
We need fighters.
We need people who are not going to back off and don't care what you get called.
This is not something that's not optional.
If you don't do this, it's over.
On top of the fact of what you're actually funding, the destruction of your family, the destruction of your border, the destruction of your sovereignty, the giving away your sovereignty to these international organizations, day by day by day by day, because they control this apparatus.
And the fat cats fund it, and that's why all these, anybody, any Republican that doesn't support Gaetz and Biggs on this, they're outed.
They're not serious.
They're not serious people.
Stop with the short... Oh my gosh!
Oh my gosh!
We're gonna... Two weeks?
What are we gonna do?
What are we gonna do?
We're on the edge of financial and economic destruction!
And you finally got a process, and this is why they hate it.
They don't want to go through those bills.
They don't want to be outed for how to take out the woke and weaponize.
They don't want to do that.
In the cover at night, they want it as one thing, and they kick it down the road.
Remember the omnibus?
Where they even did something unconstitutional, put in the changes to the Electoral Count Act of 1887.
That were the exact processes and procedures that everybody used to stop the steal in 2020 in the dead of night.
They put that in there.
Because that's how they roll.
They're tantamount to a group of criminals.
Because they're enslaving.
What do you think if the framers came back here and see the jam that we're in right now?
They would say, how did this happen?
And for every constitutional conservative out there that's won all these elections, please tell me how this happened.
Because you didn't have the stones at the time to throw down hard and say we're not going to back off.
That's what it takes?
That's not going to be pleasant?
That's not going to be nice?
Look at it already.
Think about it for a second.
Everything that you have done, everything that you've accomplished, and a guy like Graves is going to sit there and call you an arsonist?
That you just want to burn it all down?
How dare you?
And you, you half-wit, who's never had a job?
Oh, excuse me, you were a driver for Vitter, one of these clowns down in Louisiana.
Another guy who got us here.
You agreed to an uncapped two-year deal?
The reason EJ say we got two train anew is because of you, Graves, and you, McCarthy, and you, McHenry.
We had every opportunity to stop them in the spring.
And what did you do?
You played your games.
But you promised...
You promised, because I had Massey out there telling me, oh no no, but we're going to have the appropriations, we're going to do regular order on the appropriations, every bill's going to come through, it's going to be totally vetted, we're going to have the massive cuts there, and we're going to get out the woken weaponized.
A bald face lie.
Not even to treat people like they're adults.
A bald-faced lie.
You only had 15 days of work from when these sources come up in June.
You purposely, purposely sent everybody home understanding it'd be a crisis.
And we called you at it at the time.
We also told you it was going to be two trillion dollars.
Everything you have said is a lie.
You can't be that incompetent.
The math is not that hard here.
We're still in basic arithmetic.
You have lied and you've been caught and now the one group Who with righteous indignation go, we can't do this because we're going to make these kids we tuck in every night debt slaves to the world's capital markets.
We're going to make them debt slaves to the world's capital markets.
The way I know that, I saw what happened in Durban, South Africa, where they're working night after night after night to get off the U.S.
dollar.
And no, they can't have some sort of gold-backed currency yet.
unidentified
Yet.
steve bannon
But they're working non-stop to de-dollarize.
Why?
Because you have cut their purchasing power on that dollar 17%.
You've actually given sustenance to our enemies that hate us because of what you've done.
And now you have the audacity for the righteous people in this nation that stand up this finally and say, we've had enough of this.
We've had enough of the lies.
We've had enough of all of it.
You call them arsonist?
In Louisiana, in Arkansas, in Idaho, with these people, your representatives, the responsibility is on you.
The responsibility is on you.
If you return these people, if they're not primary, if you return them, then you're part of the problem.
So don't look away.
It's now, the Republicans put out a tweet yesterday, the accountability starts.
They got ratioed.
You know why?
Everybody knows what the scam is.
Everybody knows what the con is.
Take a short commercial break.
We're going to return in a moment.
unidentified
Take down the CCP!
Take down the CCP!
Everything's just beginning For the games you want to play Bring it on and now we'll fight to the end Just watch and see It's all started Everything's begun And you are over Cause we're taking down the CCP!
Spread the word all through Hong Kong We will fight till they're all gone.
We rejoice when there's no more.
