| Let's turn to the ongoing debt ceiling negotiations that reportedly hit a snag yesterday with the clock ticking here. | ||
| According to a source familiar with the discussions, both sides Still disagree on future federal spending levels. | ||
| That's a big disagreement. For the latest, let's go to the White House and NBC News Chief White House Correspondent Kristen Welker. | ||
| Kristen, we are eight days away now from that deadline laid out by Treasury Secretary Janet Yellen. | ||

| And I was on the phone with a Democratic official who's familiar with the negotiations very late last night, who said to me that these negotiations have hit a, quote, speed bump. | ||
| So, Taking a step back, what are we witnessing here? | ||
| Well, look, we know that these high-stakes negotiations come down to the wire, but this is really coming down to the wire. | ||
| This Dem official trying to turn up the heat on Speaker McCarthy saying overnight, quote, as President Biden has negotiated in good faith on the budget, Speaker McCarthy has bowed to MAGA extremists who want no compromise. | ||
| Now, we have seen quite a lot of Speaker McCarthy Willie, he's been talking to reporters in the hallways of Congress as he shuttles back and forth between these meetings. | ||
| And he spoke to our Ryan Nobles yesterday, who pressed him on whether the fact that they are still deadlocked means that there is an increasing chance that there will be a short-term deal on the debt limit. | ||
| Take a look at that exchange. | ||
| If you think you're almost there with Republicans on June 1st, would there be any talk about the potential shortage? | ||
| I don't see kicking the can down the road being beneficial. | ||
| I don't want to do anything that slows the negotiations. | ||
| You've got to have the negotiations. | ||
| Even if you're really close. | ||

So, Willie, just to reiterate there, you heard him say, we'll get it done. | |
| But look, I am told there are still a number of sticking points. | ||
| You talked about some of them. | ||
| The biggest one, I am told, is overspending. | ||
| Republicans want sharper spending cuts than Democrats. | ||
| Democrats are saying, look, if we take a big bite out of non-defense spending, that's going to hurt things like health care and education. | ||
| But the other big issue here is over work requirements. | ||
| Will there be work requirements for Social safety net programs like food and housing assistance. | ||
| The president has said he will not allow Medicaid to be touched, but he has cracked the door open just a little bit to the possibility that there could be some tweaks around the edges. | ||
| of work requirements. The president has tried to put taxes on the table, Willie. | ||
| He wants to close some loopholes. | ||
| He said, let's increase taxes on wealthy Americans. | ||
| Republicans are calling that a red line. | ||
| And by the way, some Democrats are upset about that. | ||
| They're saying that the president waited too late to enter negotiations and now he's given up some of his leverage. | ||
| So just to stress this point, look, if they can figure out the spending piece of this, I am told that would really open up the floodgates to some of these other sticking points. | ||
| They're one area of agreement so far. | ||
| They've agreed to claw back unspent COVID funds, which I am told could save an estimated $30 billion, which is really a drop in the bucket of the overall budget. | ||
| But it is an area of common ground. | ||
| And one more point, Willie, still no word on when or if negotiations will resume today. | ||
| A brand new CNN poll released today shows 60 % of Americans say Congress should only raise the nation's debt ceiling if it cuts spending at the same time. | ||
| Democrats say the two shouldn't be linked, as you know. | ||
| Is your party, though, out of touch right now with Americans on this very sensitive issue? | ||
| Well, here's the thing. I've been doing this for a little while, and I've had probably hundreds of town hall meetings. | ||
| In the abstract, Americans want to cut spending. | ||
| We want to cut spending. Yes, cut spending. | ||
| Okay. Do you want to cut defense spending? | ||
| Absolutely not. By the way, that's the position of the Republicans. | ||
| Do you want to cut Social Security spending? | ||
| Absolutely not. Do you want to cut Medicare spending? | ||
| Absolutely not. The three things I just named for you are three quarters of the federal budget. | ||
| So in the abstract, people want to cut spending. | ||
| When you actually get into what those cuts are, whether it's farm subsidies or Medicare or Social Security, oh, no, no, no, no. | ||
| At that point, nobody wants to cut spending. | ||
| So saying that you want to cut spending is a little bit like saying, you know, do you want to eat ice cream? | ||
| Yes, I want to eat ice cream. | ||
| But guess what? You know, I do that for a long period of time. | ||
| There's going to be some implications. | ||
| So... You know, the whole polling thing, you know, unless you can tell me what spending you want to cut that is meaningful, that you're willing to say, I want to cut Medicare, I want to cut Social Security, I want to cut defense spending, you know, you're just talking about ice cream. | ||
| I think there would be a huge backlash from our entire House Democratic caucus, certainly the progressives, but also in the streets. | ||
| I think that it's important that we don't take steps back from the very strong agenda that the president himself shepherded and led over the last two years. | ||
| But if the president agrees to spending caps or if he agrees to work requirements on certain social safety... | ||
| It's going to be a problem. We do not legislate through the debt ceiling for this very reason. | ||
| Oh, yes, we do. | ||

| I kept saying, why are you asking me? | ||
| Why don't you ask Janet Yellen over at the Treasury? | ||
| Because she's the one that set the date. | ||

| We passed a bill that cut $4.8 trillion in spending to raise Joe Biden's debt ceiling, and he's the one that can't come to the table and get it done. | ||

| Yeah. But you said to do that, we have to have some logical reductions in focus here, which came to $4.5 trillion plus some other things. | ||
| They got what they wanted. | ||

| No. Joe Biden is hooked on he wants to raise taxes and increase spending. | ||
| He's saying we're going to raise taxes, bring in more revenue in order to raise the debt ceiling. | ||

| Here's a stat. Joe Biden has been in office longer than I have been alive, and I am not young. | ||
| I'll be 49 on Saturday. | ||
| Joe Biden has been in this town for 50 years. | ||
| 50 years. You know what our national debt was when Joe Biden got here? | ||
| $438 billion. | ||
| With a B, $438 billion. | ||
| He's part of the problem. Joe Biden is the problem. | ||

| You look at how much revenue you have coming in. | ||
| You check how much money you have in your account. | ||
| You look at the job site. | ||
| You look at how much material do I have on hand before I order more to continue this project. | ||
| How many laborers do I have? | ||
| How many contractors do I have? | ||
| How many employees do I have? | ||
| What is my overhead? | ||
| You look hard at your numbers before you make any decision Any decision to take on more debt, and that is what Joe Biden is trying to fool everyone into doing. | ||

| You guys have passed a bill, but you're talking about the direction of the country for a decade. | ||
| You're talking about the capital markets in this country, everything related to the money and power in this city and the direction of the nation. | ||

| The Politico had the story that in Treasury, the worker bees have already worked out a program of prioritization of payments. | ||

| May some Department of Labor or Department of Education contractors or Raytheon contractors get their check three days late or four days late between now and the 15th? | ||
| Hey, I don't know, but that's a managed process. | ||
| That's not defaulting on the full faith and credit of the United States, is it? | ||
| Absolutely. Well, I don't work for the military-industrial complex anyways, so it's okay with me if they don't get their checks for more war in Ukraine. | ||
| And you're not happy. By the way, in the cuts they had, they didn't take any $100 billion out. | ||
| Biden wouldn't agree to that. | ||
| You're not even that happy with the deal you voted for. | ||
| You voted for it to say, hey, sure, we got something. | ||

| The banks did their job and sent Treasury, who's supposed to monitor this, sent them the suspicious activity reports from the extended Biden family. | ||

| There could be many more SARS reports in there that we don't even know about because we didn't ask for the names or we didn't ask about the specific LLCs. | ||

| I hate to bring up an unpleasant topic, but you and then Congressman Nancy Mace have said in these reports as you've gone through them, the thickest file is in what you guys call human trafficking. | ||
| Yes. People's heads blow up when they see that. | ||
| As you and Congressman Mace have gone through and looked at these things that the bank sent to Treasury, the thickest file you go through is related to human trafficking. | ||
| What does that mean? Let me be clear. | ||
| It's not us labeling it human sex trafficking. | ||
| Those are the words used in the reports. | ||
| Hang on for a second. They have a summary report, and it says human sex trafficking in the report, in black letter. | ||
| It also says known prostitution rings. | ||
| Yeah, that's what it says in these reports, sitting in Treasury. | ||
| Are these domestic or international? These are both. | ||
| These are related to Hunter Biden and his law firm. | ||
| His law firm with transactions paying people who were Wells Fargo customers who were involved in a known prostitution ring in what appears to be alleged human sex trafficking. | ||
| I am quoting the report when I say that. | ||
| And these reports have been in there for a very long time. | ||
| This is the information that went public from the Hunter Biden laptop, but is backed up with actual SARS reports in the Treasury from banks that state it as a fact. | ||
| And then we have the bank statements to back it up. | ||
| Have you had a chance not to pose, but have you had a chance when you go to Treasury to talk to the Treasury officials in that group, in that vertical, and ask them why this has not come? | ||
| Did that go to the FBI? Did that go to the Justice Department? | ||

| Because when a report's done that says human sex trafficking, aren't alarms supposed to go off inside? | ||

| What information were they able to learn? | ||
| What information were they able to gain? | ||
| What do they know and what do Russia and Ukraine know based on Hunter Biden paying for sex, being involved in human sex trafficking with women from Russia and Ukraine? | ||

| And Christopher Wray right now is protecting Joe Biden by refusing to hand over the FD1023 form that's not classified, ladies and gentlemen. | ||
| So we don't know what he's hiding by refusing to hand this over. | ||
| But he is actually actively protecting the President of the United States by refusing to hand that over. | ||
| The FBI and the DOJ have refused, have refused to charge and prosecute Hunter Biden For these crimes that have been laying there, obvious and known to everyone in these reports in the Treasury for years. | ||
| I was brought up by Rudy and Costello to look at the information on the Chinese companies in the laptop from hell. | ||
| And you can tell pretty quickly they've been compromised by the CCP, right? | ||
