| predictions that seem to be driving the intensity of the current political landscape, Tom. | ||
| What do you make of that? | ||
| I understand your optimism here, but that hasn't been resolved, it seems to me. | ||
| Well, I've heard of your works, which I've read and admired. | ||
| I think that there is a 20 percent of America that basically is white nationalist, that in recent years felt permission to act out on that. | ||
| And we're given permission by the president and the Republican Party. | ||
| I think the large bulk of Americans don't like white nationalism, especially violent white nationalism. | ||
| And they are reacting to it now and saying enough is enough. | ||
| You people go back under your rock. | ||
| So Tom, while I agree with your assessment about the lessening danger of a civil war among Americans, there is a view, a feeling, that there is a virus out there, an infection, caused by specifically largely one person over the last five or six years. | ||
| That person is no longer in office. | ||
| And the people who are most susceptible to catching one of the permutations of this virus are Americans who have suffered some sort of sense of loss. | ||
| Over the past 10 or 15 years, whether it's the loss of a child in war, the loss of a home due to the economic collapse, they've suffered a sense of loss and still live with it. | ||
| And they are the most susceptible to this virus of whether you call it white nationalism or people who just don't believe in government and want to overthrow any existing form of government. | ||
| What are your thoughts on that? | ||
| Yes, I think the sense that, especially for older white men, that they can no longer define American society on their own terms deeply antagonizes some people. | ||
| Yet I think When that leads to violence, it is so off-putting to the majority of Americans that it's a losing position. | ||
| Those people will be there. | ||
| America has become a deeply unequal society, and a lot of people are getting screwed economically. | ||
| And that driver will continue to be there. | ||
| But when it turns to violence, I think that's a deal-breaker for most Americans. | ||

| It's Wednesday, 7 September, year of our Lord 2022. | ||
| You're in the war room a little bit. | ||
| I guess they imply Madisonian democracy, right? | ||
| We've got some Madisonians here, some Article 3 people. | ||
| We have Mike Davis. | ||
| We have Dave Brat. | ||
| We have Steve Cortez. | ||
| We're going to start off with talking about the investigation in the economy. | ||
| I want to start to Dave Brat first. | ||
| By the way, people have been screwed. | ||
| And they've been screwed by the uniparty elite through the Federal Reserve and printing of money and crushing them economically. | ||
| People are starting to awaken to that as the Europeans are starting to waken to the fact that the woke green New Deal radicals have completely eviscerated their energy infrastructure and now they're a society that's economically about to collapse. | ||
| I don't say that. | ||
| I mean, we say it all the time, but Axios today has picked it up that there's going to be a essentially a market collapse. | ||
| They call it energy collapse in the next 90 days. | ||
| We're getting to all that. | ||
| I want to start with Dave Brat, Dean of the Business School at Liberty University, former congressman. | ||
| And an economist. | ||
| Dave, walk us through. | ||
| You've got an analysis today you want to walk us through. | ||
| We've got Cortez and myself. | ||
| We're going to opine to that. | ||
| In the second block, we've got Mike Davis, former Secretary of Defense, called Donald, said what was found at Mar-a-Lago makes Donald J. Trump a clear and present danger to the country. | ||
| He should understand when he was there, the Secretary of Defense, he was playing footsie with China. | ||
| And as we know, the CCP is the clear and present danger to the United States of America. | ||
| Dave Brat, You're on stage, your economic report for us, sir. | ||
| Yeah, thanks, Steve. | ||
| Yeah, I just want to go. | ||
| Steve Cortez does a great job and, you know, once in a while drops the depression bomb. | ||
| And so I just want to go over the recurring story we've developed on the real economy is a carcass, a dead carcass laying there. | ||
| And I'm going to go over a year in review and show some of the magnitudes of the number numbers that are in play. | ||
| In the tens of trillions of dollars, right? | ||
| And so if things do get off track, and there's probabilities that it does, the big D word does come into play. | ||
| And so I just want to start off with a fun quote, and we can put up the first chart. | ||
| The expected sugar rush from more stimulus is why the economy will run hot and then crash. | ||
| As every parent knows, giving a child too much sugar leads to a rush of energy. | ||
| Then comes the crash, where you find them in some odd place taking a nap. | ||
| Well, that's where we're heading. | ||
| Here's J.P. | ||
| Morgan. | ||
| The black line is the government stimulus going up into the $6 trillion range to the right of that graph in 2020, when the economy is shrinking, the gold bar below it. | ||
| OK, so then that huge input of government spending causes some economic growth in 2021. | ||
| The question is, is that economic growth? | ||
| So you have all of that government stimulus and it still stays quite high into 2022. | ||
| And of course, now we're back down into a recession with two quarters of negative GDP growth. | ||
| And so in the midst of this, you know, JPMorgan and everyone back in 2021 is calling for a surge in economic activity. | ||
| That was a surge in consumption, which is not the same thing as economic activity. | ||
| And that's that's what I'm trying to show in in this Set of charts. | ||
| The next graph shows why more than a decade after monetary and fiscal stimulus that adds to $37 trillion. | ||
| $37 trillion. | ||
| This is what the real economy would look like shrinking at $8 trillion by 2020 without any of that monetary or fiscal stimulus, which shows the pit in the stomach territory that we're looking at. | ||
| Another graph, next one up, shows the same thing looking at government assistance. | ||
| This is probably new to most people. | ||
| You probably used to look at the left side of that graph, the vertical index, about three, four trillion dollars. | ||
| You're used to seeing the size of the budgets for the U.S. | ||
| Look to the far right of that graph. | ||
| Government assistance is now up to six in the six trillion dollar range and makes up, on the right graph, 35 percent Go to the next chart. | ||
| This is the biggie. | ||
| dependent on government transfers. | ||
| By the way, the only other time government income support exceeded taxes paid was during the Great Depression, right? | ||
| So government support greater than all taxes collected. | ||
| Go to the next chart, this is the biggie. | ||
| Ed Dowd did a good job on some of this stuff yesterday and I wanted to get at this one. | ||
| If interest rates rise, which they are, and now the Fed is committed to raising rates, and we'll see if they've got the stomach and the discipline, what's at stake? | ||
| This graph shows GDP growth at the bottom, the gray line, and then the growth of all debt, right? | ||
| Government, consumer, business debt, at now $75 trillion. | ||
| With interest rates growing, That is the problem that puts a pit in your stomach. | ||
| And then one of the things I have ignored, I probably shouldn't have, but that gold line is velocity, the velocity of money. | ||
| That thing, if you look at the right index, the right vertical axis, velocity's gone from two down to one. | ||
| That line should be going up, showing a vibrant economy. | ||
| Instead, it's going down, showing a non-vibrant economy. | ||
| If you know your macro, the Milton Friedman equation is MV equals PQ. | ||
| So M is the money supply times velocity. | ||
| And usually we ignore velocity. | ||
| It doesn't change by that much. | ||
| But when you have a factor of two on that chart down to one, what that means is the Fed has to print twice as much money, twice as much money, M2, to make up for that decline in velocity. | ||
| So that's the Fed that just spastic behavior over the last years, throwing money out there. | ||
| Then we start hooking this up to the real economy. | ||
| As the Fed withdraws that money, the banks are going to have to provide credit in some massive way to make up for the drop in money supply. | ||
| And so we're and this is just concluding last year's story. | ||
| Right. | ||
| And so they're predicting kind of a another layman Bank run causing another financial crisis of that magnitude. | ||
| So let's go up to the next chart and get at where we're at right now. | ||
| This is earnings, otherwise known as profits, still way above any real story connected to the real economy, right? | ||
| So profits, earnings, all the analysts still have earnings at this. | ||
| You can see the Huge rate of increase at the far right. | ||
| Earnings going past any rational forecast of what earnings should be based on real economic growth. | ||
| This is all from Zero Hedge. | ||
| I'm going to post all this today at Brat Economics. | ||
| But all this in the face of the headwinds that we all know about. | ||
| Changes to the tax code, increases in borrowing costs, right? | ||
| The interest rates are going up, increased wage costs already, inflationary pressures, decreased demand, slower economic growth. | ||
| And so the next chart shows the reality that we're coming to right now and that this one is going to cause, right? | ||
| So there's earnings, S&P earnings. | ||
| The big blue bars is recent activity in the past year or so. | ||
| But look at 2022 and the estimates going forward for earnings, right? | ||
| And I don't like paying attention to the stock market because it kind of distracts from the real economy. | ||
| But it's the only thing that catches the headline. | ||
| And so you see what the headlines are going to be. | ||
| They're going to be earnings are going to get crushed coming up. | ||
| How do we know that? | ||
| Next chart. | ||
| Here are a couple charts that link the real economy, the output index. | ||
| Output is what matters, right? | ||
| Is the real economy doing all right or not? | ||
| So here's an economic output composite index made up Of all the indicators of real GDP, from the Federal Reserve, to the Chicago Board, to the Consumer Sentiment, and all these indices put together in one output index. | ||
| And you'll see at the far right, that output index is perfectly lined up with the leading indicators, and it's going down, down, down. | ||
| So real output is going down, manufacturing is currently going down. | ||
| On our platform. | ||
| leading economic indicator series in the blue is also going down almost exactly with it. | ||
| And so the last chart just shows what we expect. Earnings estimates are going to decline with real economic growth, right? So the real economy. Yeah. | ||
| The real economy. | ||
| Let me show you about the earnings projection, because here's where the rubber meets the road. | ||
| And Cortez, jump in here. | ||
| The headline, lead story, headline in the Wall Street Journal today. | ||
| That's why your analysis is so prescient. | ||
| Junk loan defaults trigger jitters about credit crunch. | ||
| Because the earnings, it's cash. | ||
| These companies' inability, because the real economy, I'll put that back up there, The junk bonds, you can tell right now, the junk bonds, you have a zombie apocalypse of companies coming. | ||
| What Dave Brat just said. | ||
| The real economy, and they're not generating cash. | ||
| Remember, EBITDA is an opinion. | ||
| Even earnings are an opinion. | ||
| Cash is a fact, because with accounting and all types of gap accounting and acquisition accounting and all that, you can play around with earnings. | ||
| You can't play around with cash. | ||
| Cash is what you generate to pay back the creditors. | ||
| You look at the top of the cap table. | ||
| Don't worry about the stocks right now. | ||
| This is going to be a massive credit crunch. | ||
| Dave, Brett, hang right there. | ||
| Steve Cortes, give me a minute on Dave Bratz, and we're going to hold Dave through the break for a few minutes. | ||
| Your thoughts. | ||
| Well, superb analysis, as always, from the good professor. | ||
| You make an important point here, too, Steve. | ||
| It's not just individuals who have borrowed, who unfortunately got really over their skis in terms of debt. | ||
| We know that credit card borrowing in the United States, $46 billion in the second quarter. | ||
| The highest level in 20 years, but it wasn't just individuals. | ||
| It was also companies feeding at the trough of low interest rates, and you're exactly correct. | ||
| The looming credit crunch, particularly as it relates to corporate junk bonds or corporate high-yield bonds, we've shown that chart before, the HYD, HYG, which is the ETF that tracks that, it signals enormous trouble ahead, not just for consumers, but also for the corporate sector. | ||
| No, and by the way, what I mean by that, when it starts triggering defaults, that's going to lead to the layoffs. | ||
| Because the first thing they're going to cut is people, right? | ||
| People and buying goods and things which will trickle down through to the other companies. | ||
| Hang over a second. | ||
| We're going to hold Brad over. | ||
| You know he's got a punch. | ||
| Dave Brat's going to hold. | ||

| Look, that's the unfortunate reality, and Steve, you're right to connect this back to politics. | ||
| The answer from Joe Biden, the answer from the leftists and the Democrats, and some establishment Republicans, will be what? | ||
| It will be to spend more money, as if that is somehow a solution, when in fact, It's a systemic part of the problem. | ||
| If they succeed in actually spending more money, what will that do? | ||
| It will massively further ratchet up what is already an inflationary crisis in this country. | ||

| The Democrats will believe that the easy choice or the supposed solution is spending more money, which will only exacerbate what is already an historic inflation pinch upon working class America. | ||

| And so what is your reaction when you just hear the details, the list of the hundreds of classified documents, the latest reporting from The Washington Post that Donald Trump, now a private citizen out of office, had all this at his beach resort in Florida? | ||

| I don't think it matters why. | ||
| The fact that he had those documents in his possession is offense enough, subject to perhaps criminal prosecution. | ||
| If I had had those in my house after leaving office, I would be in handcuffs by this time. | ||
| And so I think the Justice Department has gone out of its way to show deference to the former president that no other president in the history would have behaved in this fashion or had behaved in this fashion. | ||
| So I think the Justice Department is going about it very methodically, very deferentially. | ||
| I think that time has come to an end. | ||
| I go back to the January 6th committee, where was Judge, I think his name was Rudig, a very conservative judge. | ||
| He said that Donald Trump was a clear and present danger to democracy. | ||
| That is confirmed over and over by these revelations. | ||
| The notion that the former president had documents, highly classified documents, in his possession in unsafe circumstances, or any circumstances, puts our nation at risk, potentially. | ||
| So I think there's no justification. | ||
| There's no way they can say, oh, it was a mistake. | ||
| I think that's been disproved, and anyone who says that, I think, flat out lie. | ||

| Mike Davis, is Donald J. Trump, from what's been revealed at the raid and ransack of Mar-a-Lago, is he a clear and present danger to the nation, sir? | ||

| And Bill Cohen, who was President Clinton's Secretary of Defense, is a blowhard. | ||
| And he said that if he did this, he'd be in handcuffs. | ||
| Well, yeah, because he was not the president of the United States, as we've been saying since this, since this raid happened five and a half weeks ago, whatever it was, that the president has the absolute constitutional power to declassify anything he wants. | ||
| He has the absolute statutory authority to keep these records in the office of former president. | ||
| And more logo they get. | ||
| Congress provides former presidents with staff, with security clearances, with secure office space or skiffs, secret service protection to guard the paper records. | ||
| It is the Presidential Records Act does not distinguish between classified and non-classified records because presidents, former presidents are expected to have. | ||
| Classified records in the office of former president. | ||
| That's why they get these protections and we have to remember Cohen's boss Bill Clinton took eight years of audio recordings of his presidency including highly classified Conversations that he had with foreign leaders and military advisors and intel advisors Bill Clinton put those in his sock drawer And there was there was no raid of his home. | ||
| There was no Intel assessment by the by the politicized DNI there was no pearl clutching that we're seeing now It's because the Presidential Records Act specifically contemplates that former presidents have these things and they're all this is about Is they're trying to get Trump? | ||
| They know that if Trump runs again, he's going to win the primary. | ||
| He's going to beat Biden like a drum. | ||
| If Biden can even make it to the next election. | ||
| And that's what this is all about. | ||
| It's about politics and it's about getting back Trump's declassified copy of the crossfire hurricane records that Trump clearly declassified with his January 19th memo before he left office the next day. | ||
| And that those records are so damning for For Obama, Biden, Hillary, Susan Rice, Clapper, Brennan, the FBI, the intel community, because it shows that they made up this Russian collusion to influence the 2016 election. | ||
| I've given you two other pieces. | ||
| I don't know if Denver has them or not. | ||
| But one is Bill Barr and the other is Andrew Weissman. | ||
| And they're saying what a terrible decision it was. | ||
| And Bill Barr goes on and on and on. | ||

| What is Bill Barr's game here? | ||
| You know, Bill Barr is such a disappointment here. | ||

| He was such a disappointment as Attorney General. | ||
| For six months, from June of 2020 until he left in December, he let BLM and Antifa destroy American cities. | ||
| Dozens got killed, billions in loss, cities destroyed, police couldn't do their jobs, and Bill Barr was hiding under his desk. | ||
| He didn't do a damn thing. | ||
| And for him to come out now, maybe it's just because these guys have such huge egos that he can't stand that he's not the center of attention anymore. | ||
| Maybe he's better that he had a falling out with Trump. | ||
| Maybe he's trying to peddle his book. | ||

| But Bill Barr is just 100% wrong as a legal matter. | ||
| As it relates to President Trump's constitutional power to declassify records under Department of Navy v. Egan in 1988. | ||
| Bill Barr is absolutely wrong about President Trump's statutory power under the Presidential Records Act to have these records at Mar-a-Lago. | ||
| He can make personal copies. | ||
| He can take personal copies. | ||
| Bill Barr is just wrong. | ||
| His ego is too big for him to admit that he's wrong. | ||
| Um, the judge and everything in the judge said is backed up what you said. | ||
| Is this, is this investigation basically over even Vandy Fair said it's going to be now you have a special master. | ||
| It's going to be months or even years to get this investigation in a 30 seconds. | ||
| Mike, is this thing essentially dead in the water? | ||
| I mean, yes, they don't have a case. | ||
| It is legally impossible for President Trump to have violated the Espionage Act or these government property statutes that do not apply here because the Presidential Records Act applies and you can't obstruct investigations into non-crimes. | ||
| You can't obstruct investigations into investigations that the federal government has no business investigating, right? | ||
| So this is a political charade. | ||

| Many Americans moving to Mexico City are working remotely and still getting paid in U.S. | ||

| Some locals have benefited from increasing tourism. | ||
| But for many, that doesn't balance out rising costs and inflation. | ||
| Mexicans are also fed up with Americans ignoring cultural and social norms. | ||
| And some complain that in certain places, English is more common than Spanish. | ||
| Local businesses are being forced to shut down and replaced by cafes and pilates studios. | ||
| People who live in Mexico City and people who work in Mexico City, including myself, we want to get a place but it's really difficult because the prices are so high and even with a good salary, it's very difficult. | ||

| Let's go to the border education conference down in Austin, Texas. | ||

| What is this conference about? | ||
| Why do we need to educate people on the border? | ||
| I thought it was pretty self-evident we have an invasion going on, sir. | ||
| Yeah, no, it clearly is for you and I, Steve, and for our audience, the War Room Posse. | ||
| The problem is most of Americans have no clue that this is going on. | ||
| And I'm here with Congressman Chip Roy, as you mentioned. | ||
| And Chip, you said it best. | ||
| This is not unintentional. | ||
| This is intentional. | ||
| This is not an accident. | ||
| This is intentional. | ||
| And that's the real thing, Steve. | ||
| America needs to know that Washington, D.C. | ||
| is intentionally having our country be invaded. | ||
| Yeah, no, that's exactly right. | ||
| And we know this here, right? | ||
| And I think most of the listeners here know that because they follow this stuff closely. | ||
| But they're intentionally releasing people in the United States in violation of law. | ||
| To the detriment of Texans, of Americans, people are dying. | ||
| Fentanyl overdoses and poisonings right here in Austin, Texas. | ||
| In fact, in Hayes County, just south of here, which I represent, we had three kids die in the last month because of these fentanyl poisonings. | ||
| We had a University of Texas football star last year die from taking Xanax laced with fentanyl. | ||
| It's happening in real time. | ||
| Americans are dying. | ||
| Migrants, by the way, are dying on ranches in the border. | ||
| Up to almost 1,000 migrants who've died along the Rio Grande are on ranches. | ||
| And the fact is, to the point that was just raised about, well, why do we need to raise this? | ||
| Don't everybody know this? | ||
| We held a forum in February, or March, I think, March. | ||
| And I brought Mark Morgan in, right? | ||
| The Border Patrol head under Trump. | ||
| Tom Homan, all of our good friends, head of ICE under Trump. | ||
| And we had a big meeting, and we exposed all this. | ||
| I had a senior member of the Texas delegation come up to me afterwards and say, uh, I didn't know it was that bad. | ||
| I'm not kidding. | ||
| This is truth. | ||
| So we're going to keep doing things like this. | ||
| We're going to, I'll go anywhere anybody wants me to go in Texas and elevate this point because people are dying. | ||
| It's destroying the sovereignty of the United States. | ||
| Cartels are empowered and this isn't in fact an invasion and we ought to act accordingly. | ||
| Ben, ask the Congressman, we've played his video so many times of him in Congress pointing this out, hammering guys in testimony, all of it. | ||
| McCarthy and the Republicans are coming out on September 19th with this plan, this what we'll do different than the Democrats. | ||
| Can Congressman Roy, will he be part of that to say, hey, look, we can't play games anymore. | ||
| And particularly the Hispanic Americans are the ones that are being destroyed in South Texas, the Rio Grande Valley, Arizona. | ||
| Is a guy like Chip Roy going to be the tip of the spear? | ||
| Somebody who knows what the problem is, knows what solutions are, doesn't have to get up to speed. | ||
| He's there. | ||
| Are we going to play patty cake and just kind of kick the can down the road and let this go on and on and on? | ||

| Well, look, first of all, we know what we need to do. | ||
| We need the infrastructure. | ||
| We need to finish the wall. | ||
| We need to build the roads. | ||
| We need to clear the cane. | ||
| We need the policies immediately to turn people away. | ||
| And you're only here if you're being fully detained for the adjudication of a claim. | ||
| We need to empower ICE to remove people. | ||
| And we need to take the knees out from under the cartels. | ||
| We know what to do. | ||
| That's your plan. | ||
| We can do it easily. | ||
| Do I think that Republicans are in their, quote, commitment to America going to embrace some or all of those things? | ||
| Yes, because some of us have been beating the drum for the last six months to do so. | ||
| I put all that material in front of them. | ||
| I've been arguing for it. | ||
| Do I think it will be as hard-hitting as it should be? | ||
| Do I think it will be as embraced as it should be? | ||
| And here's the important part. | ||
| Will Republicans pledge not to fund government when they're put in power if they don't get changes to these policies? | ||
| I would argue that should be what we do. | ||
| Pledge to the American people. | ||
| We come in. | ||
| We're going to have a fight over this. | ||
| And you're not going to get another frigging dollar. | ||
| of taxpayer money or borrowed money or printed money to go spend to advance a democratic agenda unless we get what we need to do to secure the border of the United States. I think there's some other things like vaccine mandates and some other crap that we ought to deal with, but we have to secure the border. Will Republicans pick that fight? I mean, listen, the Senate GOP this morning is talking about getting 10 more senators for, you know, to support gay marriage. | ||
| It's like, look guys, keep your eye on the prize. | ||
| Secure the dang border. | ||
| Stop spending money we don't have. | ||
| Go fight for the people. | ||
| Stop, you know, turning us into an energy desert. | ||
| And let's actually open up our American oil and gas. | ||
| But those are different topics for a different day. | ||
| Yeah, different priorities. | ||
| Congressman, hang on. | ||
| Congressman Roy, do you agree that this is the best thing we can do for Hispanic Americans? | ||
| That if we were really tough in this, that Hispanic Americans would start to vote MAGA and start to vote Republicans in overwhelming numbers? | ||
| There is zero question. | ||
| Look, President Trump was so extraordinarily popular and motivating people because he stood up and fought. | ||
| And he actually did what he said he would do. | ||
| And so Hispanic Americans were flocking to the Republican Party. | ||
| Now they're kind of going, well, is this Republican Party going to stand up and fight or not? | ||
| And we need to actually stand up to defend the very communities that attracted people to come here. | ||
| People don't want to come here if we're a lawless society without the rule of law. | ||
| Hispanic Americans want a secure border. | ||
| Hispanic Texans in South Texas are speaking loudly. | ||
| They want a secure border. | ||
| A year ago, I was in Laredo with Ted Cruz. | ||
| We were driving around and we engaged with all of the leadership there. | ||
| Lifelong Hispanic Democrats in charge of Webb County. | ||
| They were furious with the Biden administration. | ||
| We drove down the river and we went through Zapata County and there was an F. Biden flag flying in the square. | ||
| I mean, look, we have the opportunity of a lifetime if we'll actually grow a pair of you-know-what and actually go fight. | ||
| But we've got to do it. | ||
| Congressman Roy, how do people follow you? | ||
| What's your social media and how do people follow you? | ||
| Because you're one of the best guys, if not the best guy, about what needs to be done on the border. | ||

| Yes, and listen, I want to reinforce people and encourage them. | ||
| We are in the early innings of this secular shift, of working class people of all races and ethnicities, but right now we're focusing on Hispanics, on their move to the political right. | ||
| I'm glad that Congressman Roy, who has just been a champion for American sovereignty, I'm glad he mentioned specifically Zapata County, which is on the U.S.-Mexico border. | ||
| Donald Trump, between 2016 and 2020, he rallied 38% on margin in Zapata County. | ||
| He lost it by 33%. | ||
| He got clobbered there in 2016. | ||
| He won it by 5% in 2020. | ||
| Steve, you know dang well that those kinds of moves in only four years in presidential politics are absolutely Unprecedented. | ||
| And that is proof positive that we have the winning message and that Hispanics rally to the combination of cultural conservatism plus economic populist nationalism. | ||
| And a key component of that nationalism is a secure border. | ||
| And Steve, speaking of nationalism, I'm so glad that you played That tape from Mexico. | ||
| That video was put out by a very leftist organization, a large one with over a million followers on Twitter. | ||
| And it's interesting because they sound a lot like Mexican nationalists demanding sovereignty over their country and over their capital city, Mexico City, which the locals refer to as D.F.A. | ||
| And by the way, I say to those Mexican nationalists, Viva Mexico! | ||
| Good for them. | ||
| They have every right to determine the manner and the extent of migration that they welcome or tolerate into their country. | ||
| Absolutely! | ||
| Everything that was said in that video, we support. | ||

| Steve, look at the things that they complained about in that video. | ||
| They complained about rising prices. | ||
| This is a quote. | ||
| They complained about ignoring cultural and social norms. | ||

| These are the legitimate complaints of a sovereign people in Mexico City. | ||

| It's the worst thing that America could possibly export, right, are these elite laptop class warriors who are now able to work from anywhere in Mexico City. | ||

| time zone, a much more affordable city than places like Los Angeles or San Francisco in the United States, is understandably attracting A lot of these folks. | ||
| But you're exactly correct. | ||
| The salt of the earth Americans, the kinds of people that they might actually welcome, people who work with their minds and their hands, they can't work from anywhere. | ||
| They can't simply go to Day F.A. | ||
| and post up. | ||
| But you know, Steve, I also think that this is a good introduction to another point, which is the The New York Times put out a piece just yesterday about Joe Biden incentivizing and welcoming in 1 million bogus asylum seekers. | ||
| Of course, they didn't use the word bogus, but asylum seekers to the United States. | ||
| So we know from, and you've mentioned this many times, we know from Daily Mail and other organizations doing good reporting, almost 5 million total illegal immigrants have trespassed into the United States. | ||
| Under the tenure of Joe Biden. | ||
| Among those 5 million, 1 million of them have entered under the guise of seeking asylum. | ||
| Now, we also know it, and this New York Times article, it really detailed asylum seekers in the town of Portland, Maine. | ||
| It's important for Americans to realize, in this time of incredible, understandable financial anxiety, of great economic duress in our land, For American citizens, that these asylum seekers, who are actually economic migrants, they are abusing the generosity of the United States with the help of a lot of American leftists, whether it's Joe Biden or NGOs, non-governmental organizations, with a lot of assistance from the American left. | ||
| These economic migrants are abusing the asylum generosity of the United States to pose as people who are fleeing persecution. | ||
| And that is, in fact, overwhelmingly not the case. | ||
| But, Steve, They are going to be here on average for seven years before they even get a hearing. | ||
| And they are being treated with an abundance of benefits funded by the U.S. | ||
| taxpayer. | ||
| For example, these asylum seekers who are in Portland, Maine, which is a relatively small coastal town, wonderful place, Portland, Maine has only a population of 66,000, but that city, according to the New York Times, has spent a staggering $40 million in the last year and a half on asylum seekers. | ||
| Steve, to put that in perspective, that means for a citizen of Portland, Maine, a family of four has spent $2,400 on asylum seekers. | ||
| Again, the vast majority of whom are not legitimately seeking asylum. | ||
| They are economic migrants using a massive loophole, abusing our country to get into the United States. | ||
| Those families in Portland could sure use $2,400 in their pocket. | ||

| It's typically defined fairly narrowly. | ||
| The state, for example, that was targeting political activists and they need to get out of the country for fear of prosecution or even death. | ||
| That is Barack Obama. | ||
| And Steve, Obama is exactly correct there. | ||
| The legitimate criteria to be a refugee who truly needs the protection of the American state, and we have always had a generous heart for those people, for people who are legitimately fearing persecution because of their race or their religion or their political beliefs. | ||
| That is a very narrow set of criteria. | ||
| And living in a bad neighborhood, Living in a scary neighborhood, not having economic opportunity, none of those circumstances qualifies for asylum. | ||
| And why? | ||
| Because many Americans live with those circumstances. | ||
| Poor children in Baltimore, poor children in Chicago live in bad neighborhoods with poverty. | ||
| and attend failing government schools. | ||
| A lot of workers in Appalachia descend into lives of despair. | ||
| Why? | ||
| Because the globalists took away their factories and sent them over to China. | ||
| So millions and millions of Americans live in tough neighborhoods or face tough circumstances. | ||
| That can never be the criteria to usher into the United States one million unvetted and uninvited migrants who trespass, who break and enter into our country to receive generous benefits. | ||
| Steve, getting back to this New York Times story, it was appalling to me to read about just how lavish really the benefits are for these folks. | ||
| When they get to the United States, they stay in hotels. | ||
| They eat taxpayer-funded meals. | ||
| Their children attend U.S. | ||
| public schools. | ||
| Tell me how this serves the interests of working-class Americans. | ||
| And Steve, it would be wrong at any time, but it is particularly wrong At a time like this, of historic economic duress, when American citizens are struggling just to pay for the necessities of life. | ||
| The idea that Joe Biden incentivizes and welcomes 5 million illegals to come into this country, 1 million of them under the guise of asylum-seeking. | ||
| Steve, that alone, to me, is justification enough to impeach this totally illegitimate President Joe Biden. | ||
| I think this invasion, what it is, will be the first article of impeachment. | ||
| I think the Hunter Biden situation will come, it'll be the second article. | ||
| But I want to go, this is, and by the way, we're not demonizing the people coming. | ||
| They're making a logical decision. | ||
| You read the New York Times article, of course you're going to come. | ||
| Why wouldn't you? | ||
| But the 1 million, I want you to make sure you just reiterate again, how many years even before there's a hearing? | ||
| Because the process, once you're in the process, tell us what the scam is as far as the process itself. | ||

| On average, seven years. | ||
| That is, according to the New York Times, on average, that is how long they are going to wait to get a hearing decision. | ||
| Seven years. | ||
| And in the meantime, again, I think this is incredibly important. | ||
| Let's go back to Portland, Maine, a town of only 66,000 people. | ||
| This is what Portland, Maine is doing right now. | ||
| Taxpayers paying for this. | ||
| Two, and I'm quoting from the New York Times article, 200 housing units for asylum seekers in the Portland area are being constructed to provide rental assistance for two years. | ||
| For two years! | ||
| Not for Americans, not for working class Americans who are having a hard time because of the Biden recession and the Biden inflation explosion. | ||
| No, for foreign nationals who come from, by the way, 150 countries in total. | ||
| Steve, there are not 150 countries in the world that are oppressive to their own citizens. | ||
| That just does not exist. | ||
| That alone reveals the scam that is at work here. | ||
| Look, I don't want to just, though, castigate those who are doing this. | ||
| They deserve it. | ||
| But I want to also give a solution, provide a fix for this. | ||
| The Republicans, once they take power in January of next year, need to suspend the entirety of the asylum program of the United States. | ||
| They need to make Joe Biden veto that. | ||
| He probably will veto it, but make him veto it. | ||
| Suspend our current asylum system because it's utterly broken. | ||
| And then, once we have a Republican president, whom I believe will be and hope and believe will be Donald Trump, let's fix it. | ||
| Let's create a new, workable asylum system that actually gives protection to people fleeing for their lives. | ||
