France has now killed more than 100 people in China and new cases have been confirmed around the world.
You don't want to frighten the American public.
France and South Korea have also got evacuation plans.
But you need to prepare for and assume.
Broadly warning Americans to avoid all non-essential travel to China.
This is going to be a real serious problem.
France, Australia, Canada, the US, Singapore, Cambodia, Vietnam, the list goes on.
Health officials are investigating more than 100 possible cases in the US.
Germany, a man has contracted the virus.
The epidemic is a demon and we cannot let this demon hide.
Japan, where a bus driver contracted the virus.
Coronavirus has killed more than 100 people there and infected more than 4,500.
We have to prepare for the worst, always.
anthony fauci
Because if you don't, then the worst happens.
unidentified
War Room.
Pandemic.
Here's your host, Stephen K. Bannon.
steve bannon
Okay, it is the War Room.
It's 29 June, the year of our Lord, 2022, almost end of the first quarter, or excuse me, first half of the year.
We're going to talk some economics.
We've got Steve Cortez in Illinois and a surprise guest in Illinois.
But I want to go to the steps of the Supreme Court, another big day for the Court.
And of course, the intrepid Chris Carter joins us from Real America's Voice.
Chris, set the stage.
What's to happen today, sir?
unidentified
All right, right now, beautiful morning here in Washington, D.C.
We're awaiting these opinions from the court from what we've seen from the last week.
It's going to be the end of a historic run for the Supreme Court.
The two decisions that people should be looking for today and the most relevant are going to be two.
It's going to be the remain in Mexico policy.
That's Texas versus Biden.
Whether or not the administration can lift these Trump-era regulations and say, you must stay in Mexico while you claim asylum.
The other big one here is the EPA versus West Virginia, excuse me, West Virginia versus the EPA.
It's whether or not the EPA has the right to make laws, right?
So they're kind of in this sort of unique paradigm where a lot of these unelected bureaucrats have set forth these policies, which then become law.
And West Virginia being an energy state says we don't really think we should have to roll back.
Our power grid to Obama-era carbon regulations.
So this has to do with carbon regulations that were put in place under Obama and whether or not the EPA has the right to regulate that.
steve bannon
Chris, you've teed it up perfectly.
This is why this is so important.
This is called the administrative state.
We're going to get Cortez in here in a minute and talk about it.
This is not the deep state.
This is the up-in-your-face state.
This is EPA, which is just like the CIA and the FBI.
This is the administrative state.
That believes that they can rule over the people and not elected officials.
Chris, this EPA about the administrative state and quite frankly even the remain in Mexico is kind of the bureaucrats over at DHS trying to reverse policy.
Chris, do we have any anticipation we'll be 1030 you think when these break?
unidentified
We're watching right now.
Nothing's come in yet, but it'll be between the 10 and 11 hours, so definitely keep it here.
What most Americans should realize is what we've seen here over the last week has been pure political theater.
These are the nuts and bolts opinions that will affect your life, people in your community, your electric bill, things like this.
steve bannon
But I gotta tell you, it's the most historic, and Chris, we're so glad to have you, the most historic session ever for the Supreme Court, just amazing.
Chris Carter, Real America's Voice, is going to be there at the Supreme Court, and we're going to go back to him as soon as these two more are very important.
This administrative thing on EPA is a big deal, because it's going to affect much more than just the energy grid and EPA.
Chris Carter, Real America's Voice, we'll come back to you as soon as we've got something.
Okay, let's go to the land of Lincoln.
A massive, I can't even get my head around the scale of the upset.
This is pure MAGA.
This is the deplorables.
Darren Bailey, you're now the Republican nominee for governor of Illinois, going to run against Pritzker.
Just give us, put us in perspective.
What happened?
I mean, you were kind of out of this, and the simple reason is you had this hedge fund guy, Ken Griffin, who put, I don't know, $35-40 million into this Democrat opponent of yours that they're trying to run as a conservative.
You really did a boot.
This was David versus Goliath.
Sir, Darren Bailey, put it in perspective for us.
unidentified
Well, I've had the blessing of serving as a state representative for two years, and the past two years as a state senator.
So people knew what they were getting, first of all.
They've seen, were able to witness my record.
But probably the most important aspect is, I'm a farmer.
I have to work hard.
I've grown up working.
So we got out.
We were out every day for the last two years.
Every Sunday, we're in a different church all across this state.
We met.
We made ourselves available to the people.
We listened.
And we expelled hope.
We let people know that help is on the way because we have hope for better days of Illinois.
How could it get any worse?
Well, electing Governor Pritzker or electing Richard Irvin would certainly send us down that path.
The people responded.
steve bannon
Darren, now that you had the morning get a cup of coffee and get focused, this is going to be, quite frankly, a national and a global race because Pritzker is quite open.
I mean, he's already telling people.
He's going to New Hampshire.
He's running for president.
He's going to be one of these governors that goes up against Newsom.
It's going to be guys like Pritzker, Newsom, Whitmer in Michigan.
That's going to be the power players, not these people in the Senate.
These are going to be the power players.
What is Frame Your Campaign?
As you see it today, what are the two or three things that you feel have to change in Illinois and only you can do as governor?
And then how are you going to frame that against Pritzker?
unidentified
Well, J.B.
Pritzker and his elitist billionaire attitude, he's had the opportunity.
He's had four years and he has run Illinois in the ground.
His Democrat-to-control legislator has followed him every step.
Illinois is a dangerous place to live.
Just look at the crime that's committed every week and the killings in Chicago.
It's egregious.
It's terrible.
And nothing's being done about it except, hey, let's take more authority away from our law enforcement.
Let's let people who commit crimes walk right out back out on the street without any bail.
Our schools are failing.
We're teaching and indoctrinating our children with woke ideas.
Parents are fed up.
And people are leaving the state because of the high tax burden.
There's no doubt about it.
Businesses refusing to come in because of the heavy regulations and the high taxes.
Good grief, in the last few months, we've lost Boeing, we've lost Caterpillar, and now we're losing one of the richest people in the state of Illinois.
He's leaving.
People are fed up.
And the reality is that for over 40 years, there's been no one to stand up and say, friends, it can be different.
That's what I've been doing.
I'm saying it can be different.
Not only that, I've stood up, I've pushed back, I've sued the governor, I got kicked out of the General Assembly for standing up against the mask mandate, and then we went to work.
Cindy and I have been traveling the state for two solid years telling people, get control of your schools, get control of your county, get control of your communities.
It can be different, but guess what?
A government of the people, by the people, for the people?
Well it certainly requires the participation of the people in order for this thing to function.
People are waking up and getting involved and that is only going to grow over the next four months until we fire this man and get him out of office and it's going to happen.
steve bannon
Okay, so for people who want to sign up for that, where do they go?
Tell us, tell us, this audience is, and we'll get to Cortez in a second.
I really am proud that I heard that there was an overwhelming support, not just for you on Election Day, but also at your campaign last night, from War Room participants.
People want to do this.
You and Mastriano are kind of the flag bearers here, the standard bearers in these massive, important states.
Where do they go, Darren?
unidentified
Go to Bailey4Illinois.com.
That's our webpage.
You can sign up to be involved.
There you go.
Thank you so much.
You can enter your information and you can join our texts and our emails.
You can sign up to be involved in our team.
We have over 10,000 volunteers across this state.
You can sign up and we will train you to be a poll watcher so that we monitor our elections this fall.
Go to Darren Bailey for Governor, my Facebook page.
It will keep you very connected with the news.
So we have an active Twitter account too, Darren Bailey at IL.
And then finally, I want to say, God bless President Trump.
I am honored to have his endorsement.
But even more importantly, God bless President Trump for his wisdom.
His courage, his boldness for establishing some men and women on our Supreme Court that would free America with these latest decisions that are coming down.
This is amazing and this would not be possible if it wasn't for President Trump.
steve bannon
Darren Bailey, fight on.
Go with God.
Godspeed.
I look forward to having you back on the show.
unidentified
God bless you guys.
Thank you so much.
steve bannon
Okay, I want everybody that's, here's on the podcast, I want everybody to go check this site out.
Very important.
Be a force multiplier.
Okay?
I want everybody to go check it.
unidentified
This is, this was David versus Goliath.
steve bannon
This guy didn't have a shot.
Nobody paid attention to him except Steve Cortez.
Before I bring Cortez in, uh, Cameron, can we go ahead and play the quick, can Denver play the quick, I want to play the quick news hit for Darren Bale.
Let's play a little cold open for that.
unidentified
We were outspent by tens of millions of dollars in the primary, and look what happened tonight.
This is how it's done.
Here's a tip and some advice for JB Pritzker.
Start packing, friend.
I didn't speak rhetoric, I spoke truth and the people of Chicago realize that.
Thank you, guys.
We'll be back.
Chicago, I'm seeing you soon.
steve bannon
Cortez, President Trump would say, that's central casting right there.
Walk us through, and what did Steve Cortez see that nobody else saw?
Because this was 100% Cortez getting motivated, getting focused, like in Ohio, and saying, hey, I'm seeing something here.
I think this can be done.
And talking to some people against the longest of long odds, brother.
$40 million from a mean, vicious, anti-Trump hedge fund guy that just wants to put Democrats in.
A Republican, here's what he wants.
He wants to keep the carried interest, he wants tax cuts for the wealthy, they wanted some deregulation for the companies, and everything else they hate about the deplorable Steve Cortez.
steve cortes
That's right.
Well, listen, patriotic populism is on the march in the Prairie State in Illinois, my home state.
So I was very happy and honored to come back here and be part of this electoral revolution that's taking place here because it was a big night for Donald Trump.
It was a big night for the America First movement in Illinois, and it was a terrible night.
For the establishment, whether you're talking about hedge fund moguls in Chicago who believe that they could simply buy the primary or the Republican establishment in Springfield, because there is a swamp in Springfield, Illinois, as there are unfortunately are swamps in many state capitals, not just our national capital in Washington, D.C.
But Darren Bailey came along.
Steve, I first learned of him when I was still a radio host in Chicago.
And I first learned about him because he came along as this downstate legislator who completely stood up against J.B.
Pritzker during the lockdowns, against his tyrannical, illegal, and unscientific lockdowns.
And I said, who is this downstate senator?
Who is this Bailey guy?
And the more I learned about him, the more I admired him, his tenacity, his fight, his smarts, and the fact that he was being bold and he was winning.
Against J.B.
Pritzker.
And I told him then, and I certainly believe it now, I said, you're going to be the next governor of Illinois.
And here's the thing, Steve.
Illinois, I believe, is in play.
And a lot of folks out there will say, wait a second, you know, Biden carried Illinois by double digits.
How is it possible that Illinois is in play in 2022?
Listen, the number one, the polling on Biden himself in the state of Illinois, he has absolutely imploded.
He was plus 23, according to civics polling.
He was, when he took office, he was 57% approve, only 34% disapprove when he took office.
Now, a year and a half later, after all of the miserable failures of Joe Biden, in Illinois, in supposedly deeply blue Illinois, he's eight points underwater.
He's only 41% approve, 49% disapprove.
And I think that's primarily because of inflation, and that is mostly a creation of Washington politicians, J.B.
Pritzker's friends and pals, his cronies in Washington, D.C.
But here's the thing, Steve, it's been made massively worse In Illinois by JB Pritzker by his mismanagement and corruption to give you an example gas prices in Illinois are on average 68 cents a gallon higher than the combination of all the neighboring states the only place in the country with higher gas prices is the West Coast of the United States.
Illinois gas is much more expensive than its neighbors, more expensive even than New York.
So, Illinoisans are sick of it, they've had enough.
And I think a lot of those suburban swing voters or winnable, persuadable Democratic voters who in the past have been reliable Democratic voters, I think with a combination of inflation plus crime, And unfortunately, Chicago has become the epicenter, really, of the crime wave that is spreading out nationally in this country and spreading out to the Chicago suburbs.
The combination of inflation, plus crime, plus safety.
I think those issues are going to make Darren Bailey incredibly competitive in this race.
And I believe we can upset J.B.
Pritzker.
Somebody who, by the way, Steve, thinks he's running for president.
He's not even focused on this race.
He's going to New Hampshire, quite literally.
Went last week to New Hampshire.
He's focused on running for President of the United States.
We're going to fire him from the Illinois Governor's Office before he even gets a chance.
steve bannon
Real quickly, I want you to stay over.
We've got to talk some economics quickly before you bounce.
Real quickly, I heard we had a pretty good war of posse turn out last night.
steve cortes
It was amazing, Steve.
So I'm in Effingham, Illinois, which is southern Illinois, and there were hundreds and hundreds of packed Patriots here.
I probably took pictures with a hundred people, and a hundred of them mentioned, we watch War Room.
So absolutely, listen, this was not just a victory for Trump, for the movement, it was also a victory for War Room, and the posse is out there motivated, activated, and excited.
steve bannon
You good folks in Illinois.
We're gonna do this.
unidentified
Okay?
steve bannon
Very important.
We got Pennsylvania and Illinois now in play.
Okay, short break.
Dave Bossi's gonna join us.
Cortez is still here.
We're waiting to go back to Chris Carter on these massive decisions at the Supreme Court.
unidentified
All next in The War Room.
War Room.
Pandemic.
There's no more, let's take down the CCD!
War Room, Pandemic, with Stephen K. Bannon.
The epidemic is a demon and we cannot let this demon hide.
War Room.
Pandemic.
Here's your host, Stephen K. Bannon.
steve bannon
Okay, Mike Lindell.
We're going to try to get him on later in the show.
He's got some news that might interest people in Colorado and other places.
But what we do know is that Walmart gave him the hook from Walmart because of the progressive nature of the families that own the stock and the management team.
Super progressive.
Go to MyPillow.com.
Promo code WORM.
The pillow, $19.88.
The one-time good deal.
It's a classic pillow.
Never been offered that.
$19.88 if you go there today.
Plus, we get to buy one, get one free.
The slippers.
All of it.
But go check it out today.
Support the armor-piercing show and the great American manufacturing company as we keep all the production lines open up there in Minnesota.
Let's go to Steve Cortez.
Gonna come back in a second.
Wait for Chris Carter over at the steps of the Supreme Court.
Huge decision today on the administrative state.
I kind of think, I kind of got a feeling where that one's going.
Also, also the remain in Mexico.
Huge, huge decision.
We're gonna track down Todd Bensman after that.
Dave Bossi.
Bossie, you've run a couple of three investigations.
People don't know, they know Dave as Citizen United, they know Dave as Deputy Campaign Manager on the Victoria 16 campaign.
What they don't realize is Dave was Chief Investigative Officer running all of it for Al D'Amato and then for Speaker Gingrich.
Two pretty tough hombres.
And Dave was involved in the Clintons and all that.
Dave, this fiasco yesterday, and I'm actually upset that I got to take time away from the show because this is pure noise, not signal.
Yesterday had the FDA, we had all these experts about this FDA thing with the babies getting the shot, and I had to break away to do this nonsense.
It is, and I call her two sugars light, Hutchinson.
Well, Steve, you know why.
She's a grundoon.
I mean, they're sitting there last night, all night long at MSNBC.
It's like John Dean walked in there.
This is not John Dean.
This is, Basi, let me, I came to stand talking about it.
So give me your perspective.
She perjured herself on national TV and they're celebrating it, Dave Basi.
unidentified
Well, Steve, you know why?
The mainstream media hates Donald Trump more than they love our great nation.
They will do anything to stop him.
They will do anything to destroy him.
That is including destroying the very Congress they claim to be protecting.
They've destroyed all the rules, all the precedent that they claim to be upholding.
It is outrageous what they did yesterday.
You know, I know Cassidy.
I'm disappointed in her testimony.
We see several, several huge lapses Impossible.
in the storyline that the mainstream media doesn't even question.
One, the president tried to grab a steering wheel in the beast.
Steve, you and I have been in the beast.
We know what the beast is.
It is exactly impossible.
It's no other word for it.
There is a barrier.
It is any president sits in a secure location inside the beast.
You can't get the, he's not riding shotgun, folks.
Okay, so that's first.
steve bannon
That's an outrageous... But hold up, but hold up, but hold up, but hold up, but hold up, but hold up, but hold up, but hold up, but hold up, but hold up, but hold up, but hold up, but hold up, but hold up, but hold up, but hold up, but hold up, but hold up, but hold up, but hold up, but hold up, but hold up, but hold up, but hold up, but hold up, but hold up, but hold up, but hold up, but hold up, but hold up, but hold up, but hold up, but hold up, but hold up, but hold up, but hold up, but hold up, but hold up, but hold up, but hold up, but hold up, but hold up, but hold up, but hold up, but hold up, but hold up, but hold up, but hold So, I don't know what she's talking about.
Bulletproof.
I don't think she's ever been in those.
That's a question that should answer.
Have you actually ever sat in those vehicles?
First off, that thing's so ludicrous.
President Trump comports himself around people, not just like a president.
I mean, someone with super dignity.
To think that he would go Jean-Claude Van Damme, grabbing guys by the neck, I'm the effing president, I'm going to do the steering wheel.
Are you nuts?
That's so lewd, Chris.
And see these children on TV skipping around like they're in a playground.
This is how desperate they are to stop.
Newsflash for MSNBC.
Donald Trump's not even going to announce he's running for president.
Donald Trump's going to run for president and Donald Trump's going to win the presidency for the third time.
He's coming and he's coming hard.
So you can do all this nonsense you want and get Merrick Garland, get Merrick Garland involved.
I dare you.
Go get Merrick.
Graves, I dare you.
Go get involved.
You got all these great legal minds up here.
Do it, brother.
Don't talk about it.
Do it.
Because he's coming.
And we're going to win this thing.
And then we're going to, as John Wayne says in The Searchers, we're going to, oh no, excuse me, outlaw Josie Wales.
We're going to go down and set things right.
Dave Bossi.
unidentified
You better believe it, we're gonna set some things right.
Look, this is an outrageous circus yesterday.
First, the outrageous allegation about a steering wheel never happened.
She claimed that he lunged or accosted a Secret Service agent, Steve.
Incredible, but the Secret Service it was so incredible that the Secret Service which never does this put out a statement saying Did not happen never have it and our people are willing to Defy that it did not happen, but David David hang on Why is that?
steve bannon
Are we having a hearing today?
The Secret Service said they'll come forward and refute the lies and allegations.
Is Benny Thompson and Lil' Shifty Shift and Lil' Jamie Raskin, are they having a hearing today, sir?
unidentified
I don't think so, Steve.
We'll have to wait and see.
Look, they don't care.
They don't care about the facts.
They care about their narrative.
And they are destroying the House because, I gotta tell you, Our leadership, I'm going to be, and your audience is going to be holding them accountable when we take the House back.
We have now had a federal judge say that a nine to zero committee is legitimate because the full House of Representatives voted on what the committee represented.
That means it's legitimate.
That means there's no more rule.
So we, I'm not a he said, she said, you got to do it because they did it.
But we have new rules now, and our leadership has to get to the bottom of Hunter Biden, has to get to the bottom of Hillary Clinton's hope.
Look, there's some things to be done here, including the investigation into the January 6th committee.
steve bannon
You don't, you don't.
I mean, a real investigation also into January 6th.
Uh, there's certain cases we never address here.
That might be too close to home.
However, the quiet part out loud.
Just give Dave, no, no, no.
Give Dave, give Dave Bossie those rules with no, no ranking member, no minority council.
Hey, Hunter Biden, Hunter, Hunter Biden, you ought to be getting Hunter Biden, get your passport and you got to go to Tahiti somewhere.
Go hide.
The last thing you want is Bossie and the guys like Jordan, these people all over you.
Dave, also the note.
She lied about the note.
She multiple perjured herself, right?
She lied about the note.
Even Hirschman, who's been no star, came forward with that.
unidentified
Yeah, Eric Hirschman, who was one of the president's lawyers in the White House, was one of the defense lawyers during the second fake impeachment, who's a great lawyer, is somebody who came out and said, law enforcement, meaning the FBI, knows that I wrote that note.
So she claimed, I wrote this note, it is not in her handwriting, and they put it up on the screen, Steve, and they asked her, is this your handwriting?
And she said, yes.
Now it comes into evidence that Eric Hirschman is saying, that is well known within law enforcement, it's my handwriting.
steve bannon
I think two sugars light have some issues.
OK, Dave, we're going to have John Solomon on the top of the hour.
Other breaking news about the intelligence report.
We had, you know, we had we had Davis Rodney Davis on a week ago.
He's already sent preserve the documents.
So this thing's going to get heated about what actually went on.
Bossy, what's your what's your social media?
How do people follow you?
I know you got I know you're hanging out with big shots today, so you can't hang with us.
What's your what's your what's your don't even go there.
Give me give me your social media.
unidentified
David underscore Bossy on both Getter and Twitter and Dave Bossy on Truth Social.
Please go follow me.
You can follow all of our activities.
You can get a chance to watch our film, Rigged, on How Zuckerberg Rigged the 2020 Election.
steve bannon
And make sure it didn't happen again.
Dave Bossy, you're a warrior.
Thanks for joining us, brother.
unidentified
Thanks for having me, Steve.
steve bannon
Cortez, we kind of jammed last night, and you were so kind to jump into the 6 o'clock show, but I want to make sure we do justice on the economics.
And by the way, give me a heads up when Carter's got something to report.
Steve, this administrative state, you've been all over this too.
These rulings today are big league.
I mean, they're not as showtime as some of the ones last week.
The prayer, I mean, the early in the week prayer, and obviously Roe v. Wade.
But this administrative state case on EPA is much broader than just the EPA in West Virginia.
This is about starting to deconstruct the administrative state.
It's going to be big time about unchaining the American economy.
Steve, talk to us about that economy.
You've been giving storm warnings on this for quite a while, sir, and now CNBC and the FT are finally catching up with you.
unidentified
Right.
steve cortes
Listen, unfortunately, more terrible news about the U.S.
economy.
Right now, as we speak, crude oil is back up to $113 a barrel.
That is absolutely crushing for working-class people.
And we see it both in consumer confidence, and we also see it in individual company reports.
Yesterday, Nike gave some really terrible forward-looking outlook on the economy and on its earnings.
What happened?
Nike was down 7% in a single day.
And I'm showing a chart there on Nike because I want to show Nike, and by the way, Nike's not a company that any of us on the right appreciate, right?
Nike has sold out to China.
Nike spreads a lot of toxic corporate cultural Marxism, so I have no love lost for Nike.
However, it gives us a very good read on where the U.S.
consumer is.
And if we look at Nike, its performance, as I put on the chart there, under Donald Trump, versus its performance under Joe Biden.
Under Donald Trump, it well more than doubled from $53 a share to $139 a share when Biden took office.
It is now all the way down near $100 a share and down 7% yesterday on Nike.
Now, let's look at the broad sector to show you that this isn't just Nike specifics, not just problems out of Beaverton, Oregon.
If we look at the XRT, that is the most liquid ETF that represents the retailers broadly.
All the brand name, Household name retailers that the audience would know the XRT right now.
It's down 2% today It was down 4% yesterday and we're taking a look there at the XRT the retailer ETF going back a year and then just to quickly explain that that means you get a basket of all the big retailers in one single ticker XRT and That was at 104 just last Thanksgiving, Steve.
Today, it is trading all the way down at 59.
It's down more than 40% in just a matter of months.
Steve, 20% is a bear market.
steve bannon
40% is an absolute panic list.
So this is a double bear.
unidentified
This is a grizzly bear, right?
steve bannon
And this means jobs, ladies and gentlemen.
Don't sit there.
We created more jobs.
We'll be back in a second.
Cortez is going to hang out with us.
We've got, uh, hopefully Todd Bensman may go to the FDA.
We're packed this morning, wall-to-wall, in the War Room.
unidentified
War Room.
Pandemic.
Because we're taking down the CCP!
Spread the word all through Hong Kong!
We will fight till they're all gone!
We rejoice when there is no more!
Let's take down the CCP!
War Room. Pandemic. With Stephen K. Bannon.
The epidemic is a demon and we cannot let this demon hide.
War Room.
Pandemic.
Here's your host, Stephen K. Bannon.
steve bannon
MyPillow.com.
Promo code War Room.
Make sure you go there today and check out the pillows.
He got the hook.
Now he's not in any big boxes.
He's got the hook.
Why?
We're standing up to fight for freedom and to make sure that we get to the bottom of 3 November 2020.
We're never going to get off of that part of this investigation on 6 January.
We'll get to the bottom of adjudicating all that in January.
So mainstream media And everyone else, including the Biden regime, the illegitimate Biden regime.
How do you like that, Merrick Garland?
How do you like that, Graves?
How do you like that, little Jamie Raskin?
Yes, the illegitimate Biden regime that we paid a small part, just a small part, in killing in the crib.
I think I'm famous.
He said, yes, killed it right in the crib.
And it's the American people that have rendered their judgment on it.
Let's go back to Steve Cortez.
Steve, before we go through some numbers, you really were a wingman like you were for J.D.
Vance.
You really were a wingman with Darren Bailey over the last couple of weeks and really the sprint to win this nomination, were you not, sir?
steve cortes
You know, I was honored to do so, and let me tell you a story, Steve, since we're talking about gasoline prices, which are so crushing to this country, and oil right now, as we speak, at $113 a barrel because of Joe Biden's war on domestic American energy.
As we were traveling this state, and Darren Bailey, in the final two weeks of the campaign, he visited every single of Illinois' 102 counties.
Now, that's earning it, that's hustle, that's populism.
Speaking of populism, let me tell you, this man At times, literally drives his own campaign bus.
I'm unaware of another candidate in America who does that.
But not only that, Steve.
One morning as we were getting up for another day of stops out there meeting the deplorables all over Illinois, he was up even earlier than we were.
He had him by himself, the man who I believe is soon going to be the governor of Illinois, He had by himself driven the bus to fill up the tank, to fill up the gasoline.
That is the kind of humble servant leader he is.
It's the kind of hands-on man he is, entrepreneur and farmer.
And by contrast, Steve, J.B.
Pritzker, a trustafarian who was born to billion dollars of wealth When do you think the last time is that he even put gasoline in a car?
My guess is it has been quite some time since he's put gasoline in a car.
And the idea of him driving the bus to fill up the bus with extremely expensive gasoline because of J.B.
Pritzker, that's an impossibility.
And I think when we paint that picture effectively for the people of Illinois, it's going to be convincing.
steve bannon
Pritzker's not even ill.
I mean, didn't he go to Stanford?
Isn't he a West Coast guy?
steve cortes
He was born in California, went to Duke University, and so yeah.
He clearly has national aspirations.
Now look, I think that's a fantasy that's only made possible because he was, you know, by the luck of life, the luck of birth, he was born with a fortune that he didn't earn, that he inherited.
But he believes that he can be President of the United States.
Again, I think that's a ridiculous fantasy, but let's disabuse him of that by firing him as Governor of Illinois.
He's somebody who has his focus elsewhere already.
I think he takes this for granted.
And I don't think he realizes, I don't think a lot of establishment Republicans realize that this is a wave election year.
This is a year for reformers and outsiders, for patriotic populists to rise up.
J.D.
Vance, you mentioned in Ohio, I think Blake Masters and Carrie Lake, both of them in Arizona.
Those are a couple other examples.
And here in Illinois, I'm down in Effingham in Southern Illinois, it is Darren Bailey.
And there is a whole crop of candidates out there Who have fantastic ideas, have fire, and are taking on the establishment.
And so far in the primaries are winning, Steve.
And we've got to make sure that the entire War Room posse is there to catapult them to victory in November as well.
Not just the primaries.
steve bannon
Okay, we're coming to the end of the first half of the year, and we've got the 4th of July holiday, the end of June, so the Fed, everybody will be looking at this.
You've got this, the two cases, by the way, we just heard from Chris Carter, the administrative state case on the EPA, and the other case, the remain in Mexico, are going to be put out tomorrow, they're going to be promulgated tomorrow.
So Chris Carter will be with us from Real America's Voice, live when we start the show tomorrow, probably here about 10.30 or so.
Two other huge cases.
Steve, what's your assessment, and you're a data guy, what's your assessment of where we are?
Because I believe we're actually, particularly for working class and for middle class Americans, we're already in a recession.
You've got all this happy talk and theoretical talk on CNBC and, you know, Kramer's still saying, buy the dip, and you've got a bunch of guys yammering around.
But this is, for people, the regular man and woman that's got to go make a living and support a family.
Right.
It's a recession for them.
Am I incorrect there in the data, the way Steve Kortes looks at it?
steve cortes
Steve, I think you're exactly right.
We are clearly already in a recession.
It's just a matter of the extent.
How deep?
How bad?
How long will it last?
You know, to me, those are the only really relevant questions now, not whether or not we have turned into a recession.
You know, let me give you this inflation number, because 8.6% is the official read On CPI, I think that vastly understates actual inflation, but even that number is terrible, is a 40-year record high in inflation.
But even using the government statistics, if we look at the basic necessities of life, and specifically, if we isolate gasoline, food at home, so not luxury dining out, food at home, and utilities, those three items, all of which are absolute necessities.
Nobody can pass on them and be a functioning human being, okay?
Those three items together, Steve, the inflation rate right now, 25%.
25%.
What that means, Steve, and I've heard this out of the campaign trail, meeting a lot of working class folks, regular Americans, Steve, they're having to make really difficult choices.
Choices they've never made in their life before.
Choices like, OK, well, if I'm going to feed the kids, then I have to skip X. Then I can't sign my son up for baseball this summer.
They're having to make those kind of incredibly difficult choices.
I need new shoes, but I can't afford them right now.
I mean, literally, these are the kinds of kitchen table decisions that are being forced upon regular Americans because of the absolute runaway inflation.
And again, this is not circumstance.
It's not the business cycle.
It's not bad luck.
This inflation is a created crisis created by Joe Biden, Nancy Pelosi and yes also created by Mitch McConnell by their exorbitant borrowing and spending combined with Biden's war on American energy and then adding insult to injury.
He also decided to massively exacerbate what should be a regional struggle in the Black Sea and turn it into an international crisis to make The already pre-existing Biden inflation get even worse.
So this is a created crisis by Joe Biden and some establishment Republicans, and we need to make sure that we use our agency, that we citizens, that there's a populist uprising to reclaim the reins of power and fix this.
We can't fix it.
But it won't be easy, and it absolutely involves a very serious recession.
The Fed is way behind the curve.
The Fed needs to hike interest rates dramatically further from here to try to get in front of inflation.
There's simply no other way.
There's no easy way out at this point because Joe Biden and his cronies in D.C.
have put us into such a corner.
And by the way, a lot of people like J.B.
Pritzker as well in Illinois.
But to answer your question, Steve, look, clearly we are in a recession.
It's a matter of how deep, how bad.
steve bannon
Walk me through one time, quickly, because I want to cut this afterwards.
How do you get to the 25%?
How do you derive that number?
steve cortes
So 25% is if we take the three items, which again are just foundational staples, expenses that everyone has.
So it's utilities, gasoline for your car, and food at home, grocery store spending.
If you group those three items together, which again are just the absolute necessities of life, no luxuries.
If you put those three items together, the inflation rate for them combined right now is 25%.
That is absolutely crushing to Americans.
It's why we see the savings rate absolutely plunge right now in this country.
It's why real earnings are just really all that matters is real income, right?
Because some Americans think we are getting decent pay raises, but if you're getting a 3, 4, 5% raise, which in normal times would be great, but you have 8% inflation at least.
I would argue it's actually double digits.
You have 8% inflation, you are literally getting poorer every single month.
You have to work harder and harder just to maintain the same standard of living.
So that is the reality right now for Americans.
steve bannon
But those pay raises, remember, they're talking about, you hear the chatter, they want to use immigration Their focus on getting inflation down is getting wages down.
And you see with the consumer, everything you see in the consumer, you're going to have the bottom fall out of employment.
So everybody sitting there right now, I'm getting 3% raise, you ain't going to have a job.
This is what's going to happen.
Go ahead, go ahead.
steve cortes
Connect that to the border, because I think this is crucial, right?
So, when you ask the ruling class, well, okay, what's the solution for inflation?
Their answer is, as it often is, open the border, right?
As if millions of uninvited, illegal workers competing unfairly and unjustly in the labor market against Americans, as if that's going to make real wages rise somehow?
No!
It is going to further depress real wages if we invite in an absolute torrent of new workers that we do not need to compete in the labor market against American citizens.
And by the way, I suspect that's one of the reasons why According to Trafalgar polling, 65% of Hispanic Americans polled by Trafalgar say they want to close the border entirely, Steve.
Not saying get the border under control, right?
Not saying go back to the Trump era.
They're saying seal the United States border.
Quite different from the media narrative that Hispanics are soft on inflation.
But why do Hispanics take that incredibly hard line stance?
I believe it's because most Hispanics are working class people and they are seeing their real wages decline right now.
They are seeing their prosperity get absolutely crushed.
And they realize that the last thing this country needs is millions of illegal immigrants that Joe Biden is incentivizing and welcoming into this country right now.
steve bannon
It's insane.
And grab Benzmann on.
Even the remaining Mexico, even if they enforce it, they've got so many workarounds.
Real quickly, we're going to have Harnwell on next.
They're doing all the, you know, I think they just announced they're going to shift Army headquarters over to like Poland.
You know, they've got 100,000 combat troops over there.
Is there any solution to our current economic collapse that doesn't center around getting energy right here in the United States, to go back to Trump's policies of full-spectrum energy dominance, instead of going over and kneeling before the House of Saud, of which Macron says, tells Biden, hey, by the way, I talked to MBZ the other day, They're at full capacity, they can't pump anymore, and you can get 150,000 barrels a day.
Was that humiliating?
This guy's supposed to be President of the United States, he's living in the center, he's got a trillion dollar defense budget with Intel, National Security Council, Kennedy Space Station, you know, the tank, everything, and he's got Macron saying, hey, you know, talk to him, because they're already tapped out, and 150,000 barrels a day at a Saudi, that's what you got.
And the White House won't do anything, Steve Cortez.
steve cortes
You're right.
Energy is the holy grail here, and thankfully, the Almighty has blessed this land, right?
Underneath our feet, we have absolute oceans of natural gas and crude oil that we should be fully harnessing to power the American economy.
But instead, Joe Biden decided to declare war on domestic American energy production, and now he's going to go hat in hand, totally embarrassingly, over to beg the House of Saud to produce more. And also this, Steve, recognize that right now what his policies are doing, it is a massive transfer of wealth from the American people, from American citizens, to some of the worst regimes in the world, to Riyadh, to Tehran, to Moscow, to Caracas.
Not only that, his open borders policies, a massive transfer of wealth to the Mexican cartels.
So Joe Biden right now is making some of the worst regimes and organizations in the world massively more powerful, massively more wealthy, at the same time that he's crushing the pocketbooks of Americans.
I'm not sure if it's on purpose or if it's out of incompetence, but either way, either way, it has to stop.
And we need America First candidates, people like Darren Braley here in Illinois, who are willing to stand up against that ruling class and say enough.
By the way, Illinois, a lot of people wouldn't realize, Illinois is actually an incredibly Energy-rich state.
Central and Southern Illinois, ton of coal, a ton of crude oil.
Not able to harness that energy the way that it should be.
Why?
Because of liberals in Chicago.
Kind of a similar situation to New York State.
Western and upstate New York, a lot of energy that New York City doesn't want it to tap into.
So, we need to stop that madness.
We need to get back to full-spectrum energy dominance.
And that is the holy grail of solving inflation.
steve bannon
If you go to Illinois all the way across through Pennsylvania, West Virginia, and up into New York State, it's Saudi Arabia of energy sitting right there in the United States of America.
Natural gas, oil, and coal.
We're a superpower.
We're a superpower by divine providence.
Cortez, how do people get to your sub stack?
How do they get to all of your content, sir?
steve cortes
Yes, please find me on Getter.
I'm at Steve, very simple.
And over on the Twitter, I'm at Cortez Steve, Cortez with an S. And Steve, I'm glad you're going to Harnwell in Rome.
Today is the feast of St.
Peter, St.
Paul, the patron saints of the Eternal City.
So it's a big day in Rome, big day to go to Harnwell.
steve bannon
It's a big day in Rome.
Cortez, you probably didn't get the memo.
Nancy Pelosi got communion today at the Vatican.
Come on, dude.
Go say a rosary, brother.
Okay, Steve Cortez, we're gonna go to Rome.
Ben Harnwell next in the War Room.

Also, if you want secure communications, go to unplugged.com slash war room.
You've got an app there.
You download it.
You can then put all your apps on it, and they can't monetize it.
They can't follow you.
They can't do any of it.
Plus, it's got the best encryption system going.
This is Eric Prince's obsession of secure communication.
They're actually going to have a phone come the fall, but right now you get an app for an Android phone.
Go to unplugged.com.
Go check it out today, slash war room.
See all the information about, you get apps they can't monetize and they can't track you and you get encryption that encrypts literally every time you use the phone, make a call.
So they can't follow you, can't follow what you're doing.
Not that you would need encryption.
Hello.
But check it out.
Eric Prince.
I know their heads are blowing up over there at the FBI right now.
Suck on that.
Like we care.
Because we don't.
I want to go to Ben Harnwell in Rome.
Here's the thing.
I've got to tee this up, Ben.
And I'm not going to get you involved in American domestic political matters.
The Daily Mail had a big picture of, a big lead story this morning, Nancy Pelosi getting communion there by the Pope.
Just in your face about the Roe v. Wade thing, you know, Fr.
Pravone, Fr.
Frank was on here, the Priest for Life, a guy who dedicated his life, he's one of the key movers and shakers in the back of all this to get Roe v. Wade in.
He said, hey, the majority of Catholic priests never mention it at Sunday service, never mention it.
This is the corruption of the Catholic Church, and you see it right there with the phony Pope.
Sitting there with Nancy Pelosi giving her communion by the way, that's all but that that's between people in their own conscience Okay, but it's the it's the optics of it She's over there at leading the leader of the abortion party the leader of the death cult party Right to get communion and to just put it right in your grill I think captain Bennett's got it in your face as she's put it up on social media. Okay, let's go speaking in your grill That this you got to deescalate the situation
We said from day one to save more people in Ukraine and to figure this thing out because the Russians ain't moving from Eastern Ukraine.
It's even absurd to talk about it.
Now, more people are going to die, more money, and now you've got the United States, you've got 100,000 combat troops, they're trying to increase NATO, they've got articles up in the BBC, I think I put them up, go to my ghetto site, I'm putting this stuff up all night.
Remember, NATO is a scam.
They're supposed to pay 2% of their GDP for defense.
None of them do it.
And then when you look at what they're actually spending for, it's not really weapons and interoperability and training.
I did this.
I went through this with all these defense ministers when they came to the White House, particularly the Germans and these guys are all deadbeats.
It's the United States money that underwrites it.
Just like, look, we won World War I when they were too tired.
We then went back and went with the Russian people, won World War II, right?
Then we had to win the Cold War with Reagan, had to win the Cold War, and now we're tied up into another European war.
And this is the American people going, all right, now here's the thing.
In every country you go and look at the polling, except for Poland, and they've got their own deal with Russia, I think it's up to 40-45% of the people are saying, no, we want out.
We want out, particularly because we want out.
We don't want to do this anymore.
We want out.
You've got what's called the peace group, and then you've got a group called the justice group, which is about 25%.
They said, no, you've got to take it to its bitter end.
You've got to back sort of Ukraine.
Fine.
That's what a democracy is about.
I got that.
But it's two to one on people saying we can't do this anymore.
And they're not feeling the full brunt of it because we are underwriting it, ladies and gentlemen.
Ben Harnwell, give me an update on everything that's going on in this bogus EU meeting.
And now Biden's over there at NATO just promising more and more American dollars, but worse than that, the sons and daughters of the deplorables.
Sir.
ben harnwell
Morning, Steve.
Well, if Denver would like to start with the first headline that I have, Which is the Reuters one with the headline, citing Russia threat Biden to ramp up US forces in Europe, which is a pretty honest take, actually, because that's exactly what's happening.
It's leveraging Ukraine, Russia in order to have a massive defense provision.
Extravaganza.
Here is a strange, really, seeing as we're on the back of this NATO summit, that the big headline figures are everything that the US will be providing.
So you mentioned, and I'm going to come back to this a little later, you did mention the new permanent army headquarters in Poland.
But let's look at what else the United States is promising to undertake here in continental Europe for the benefit of Europeans.
So there'll be new US warships that are going to Spain.
The figure I've seen is an increase from four to six.
Fighter jet squadrons are coming to the UK.
Ground troops to Romania and air defence units to Germany and Italy.
And a wide range of unspecified assets will be going To the Baltics.
As I say, it's strange that the US is promising all these things.
I haven't seen any other commitments from the other member states.
At the back of a NATO conference, which is being trumpeted as a revitalization of unity amongst the NATO members.
Here in terms of actual figures, there's also going to be a brigade combat team, a BCT, in Romania that's going to add 3,000 fighters and 2,000 personnel.
Probably not a huge amount, but as you yourself have said, since the start of the Ukraine crisis five months ago.
steve bannon
That's a lot of combat troops, 3,500.
These are a lot of people.
There's 100,004 deployed right now in the Baltic states and this, and now you put in a permanent army headquarters.
This is the white supremacist Atlanticist, right?
This is the white supremacist Atlanticist.
All giving each other back rubs.
This is an obscenity.
Let me be blunt.
I can walk through and put Stavros, put all these clowns up there.
I'll go head-to-head with all of them.
We'll go through the budgets.
I know the budgets.
I had Brace, the German defense minister, up.
The German head of national security.
I had him in the mumble tank.
unidentified
We're doing due diligence like we used to do at Goldman Sachs.
steve bannon
No, hey dude, that's women's health care, that's environmental, that's Green New Deal.
Show me guns, show me interoperability, show me maneuvers, show me actually something called not joint staff.
Remember NATO and Brussels, just a joint staff.
Just a bunch of joint staffs.
I'm talking about interoperability, to actually act as allies.
They're not allies.
We carry the weight.
Let me refer you back to World War I. Let me refer you back to World War II.
In World War I, remember, the American people were lied to in World War I about our involvement and hated it so much.
Hated it so much.
That's where the isolationist movement came afterwards.
There was no fond memories of the slaughter that took place when we came into the trenches on the Western Front and those brutal battles.
The amount of men we lost in the gas and the chemical warfare.
There's no fond memories of that.
That's why, let's be blunt, FDR had to kind of do the Little, uh, three-card money about World War II.
Export Selection
