Speaker Time Text

Negotiators of a bipartisan gun bill left an hours-long meeting yesterday without a final agreement.
Senators Chris Murphy of Connecticut, John Cornyn of Texas, Kirsten Sinema of Arizona, and Tom Tillis of North Carolina struggled to find a solution to the last remaining obstacle, they say.
That is how to close the so-called boyfriend loophole for domestic abusers.
Senator Murphy insists negotiations are ongoing.
In a newly released statement, he stressed the group, quote, finalized agreement on the majority of our framework's provisions.
But Republicans not quite as positive on this.
Senator John Cornyn left the meeting early and told reporters he was frustrated, saying, quote, they know where I stand.
So far, there is no agreement.
The group would have to finish the bill today, in time for the Senate, to have enough time to vote on it next week, which is the goal.
So, Jonathan Lemire, this has been an ongoing, slow process.
The committee has, this subgroup anyway, has projected confidence.
And, you know, you hear Chris Murphy, for example, saying he's grateful for Republicans hanging in there, showing up at the table.
But they are, it appears, stuck on this one issue of the boyfriend loophole.
jonathan lemire
Yes, that's right, Willie.
And next week looms large.
They really want to get this done before Congress goes out for the July 4th holiday.
They feel like the longer this drags on, the momentum could dissipate and maybe nothing gets done at all.
You're certainly right.
Senator Murphy continues to sound an optimistic note, even as he acknowledges what they get done, if indeed they get it done, would still be incremental.
But he says, look, any progress at all is good because we've had more than a decade with none whatsoever.
Boyfriend loophole is a provision that prevents someone accused of domestic abuse from having a gun.
33 states, I believe, already have certain provisions along those lines.
The particular hangup in the language is unclear at this moment, but there is a worrisome subplot here.
It's not just John Cornyn, the Texas senator who's leading the Republican effort, and a close ally of Mitch McConnell who's expressing frustration, but he's now answering to more and more Republicans in his caucus who are frustrated.
The GOP, they want to get this done.
They don't want to end up asking any of their senators to be that 60th and deciding vote, the 60 you need to break the filibuster.
They want to clear that by a few, 62, 63, 64, to give cover to all of its members.
McConnell himself has said he'd participate, and they want to do this and do it soon, but more and more Republican resistance per new reporting is growing at some of these measures.
So they feel like the longer this stretches, the more chances they might lose a few Republicans from the tally to support this, getting dangerously close to 60, and the whole thing could fall apart.
So next week looms as crunch time, Willie, to get this done.
willie geist
That's exactly the fear of Senator Murphy.
They feel like they've got 12 or 14 Republicans on board to clear the 60 vote threshold, and the longer it goes, they worry they may lose some.
dave brat
The thing I love about this show, and the thing I hear about it from everyone, is when Steve goes off, you're hearing what's gonna happen for real.
steve bannon
They don't have a messaging problem.
They have a policy problem.
We're going to control everything.
I know you'd hate to hear that.
Aren't you autocratic?
unidentified
No!
steve bannon
We believe in democracy.
We're going to win at the ballot box.
Look at the Rio Grande Valley.
You don't think, oh, it's just a made-up district.
It's not going to happen.
Okay, fine.
Give me a drag queen in every school down in South Texas.
Democratic Party, where are your drag queens?
Your Attorney General in Michigan wants a drag queen in every school.
That's the, instead of a chicken in every pot, they want a drag queen in every school.
jonathan lemire
Boom!
steve bannon
Make that poster, that's the Democratic Party!
unidentified
Drag queens are entertainment!
A drag queen for every school!
Drag queens are entertainment!
A drag queen for every school!
So, when you're choosing Michigan's next Attorney General, ask yourself this.
Who can you trust most not to show you their penis in a professional setting?
Is it the candidate who doesn't have a penis?
I'd say so.
I will not sexually harass my staff, and I won't tolerate it in your workplace either.
I won't walk around in a half-open bathrobe.
And I'll continue to take all sex friends seriously.
Please give a warm Drag Race welcome, Nancy Pelosi.
Welcome back!
My honor to be here.
Your freedom of expression, of yourselves in drag, is what America is all about.
steve bannon
America, you had enough fun with the Democratic Party economic policies?
You enjoying this?
They want to break the nuclear family.
They have to break the parents' ability to raise their own kids.
Can we play this again?
A drag queen from every school.
That's her.
That's her.
Let her run on it.
Let her stand and defend it against parents across the board.
I got to tell you, we're going to get 55 to 60 percent of the Hispanic community, and we're going to get at least 50 percent of black men.
Because I tell you, they're just not going to tolerate this.
They're not going to tolerate this being jammed down their throat with taxpayer money and kids in this capture thing.
I mean, hey, I see a great 30-second spot there at the corner.
Just a heads up.
Welcome, it's Friday 17th, Junior Overlord 2022.
He was so good yesterday, we asked him to come back.
He's got another spiffy blazer.
Man, you turn, this is... They're paying pretty well down there at Liberty, right?
dave brat
TJ Maxx, baby.
I'm a Dutchman.
steve bannon
Dutch reform church.
That's it.
You can't get any more Calvinist.
It makes the Presbyterians look like a bunch of party animals.
unidentified
Dutch reform.
steve bannon
Mason Presbyterians, look a bunch of party animals, right?
Dutch Reform.
That is Michigan.
Yeah.
You know that it's the famous film.
I don't know if you ever remember the film Hardcore with George C. Scott.
It takes place in Michigan in one of those Dutch Reform churches.
dave brat
Ah, check it out.
steve bannon
It's essentially The Searchers set in modern times, but it's George, after they made Patton, the Dutch Reformed Church, and they're a little, how do you say this, they're a little tad austere.
dave brat
Right, a bit, a bit.
steve bannon
A bit.
Welcome, you're in the world, we've got a lot to get through today.
Of course, I want to give the, can I double check before I give this out, the number for the Senate, is it 202-224-3121?
Just double check that, because I'm going to have everybody to your ramparts today.
Okay, the number to the United States Senate, 202.
Okay, Friday's a work day.
Every day's a work day here at The Worm.
Even Sundays we worship, but God could take off on Sundays.
Right now, on Sunday afternoons, we've got to be hitting it between now and 8 November because everything's up for grabs, and it's all in play.
We have the opportunity to destroy the Democratic Party as a national political institution, but we have to deliver.
We have to get out the vote.
We have to be on top of it.
No wins for Democrats.
You heard the morning line.
Here's what Mitch McConnell, once again, a total misread.
We finally got their minds right in South Texas in the Rio Grande Valley, what Hispanics Americans really want, which is not DACA and not all this crap Lindsey Graham's been running around.
Here you have the collaborationist, and what they want to do, they're always afraid of this mythical, it's like Karl Rove, they're afraid of this mythical female suburban voter, and they think they gotta, we're gonna get, hey, we're gonna get them fine.
We got Naomi Wolf here in the second hour on the, we got Naomi Wolf here on FDA approving, putting shots in everybody, including babies right out of the womb, right?
Okay, let me be blunt.
and they can't kill them coming out of the womb, they're going to either cut them off of the formula or give them the vax right away, bang, bang.
Man, kids are under siege.
You got Liz Zhore coming in too.
I bet they drag queen every school.
Okay, let me be blunt.
If we can't win with all the mistakes that they've made on the economy and they have a burning inferno, and Brad's going to get into that in a second, burning inferno for working class and middle class people because now they're coming for the equity in your house, you don't be, be looking at that loan, The equity loan you took out on the equity of your house.
Double-check that in about 30 days.
The bank will do it for you.
They'll call and say, hey, you've got to kick a little something in.
We need some foundational elements to that equity loan.
If we can't win on that and the drag queen, because...
They're, you know, Biden sends these executive orders.
They're the groomer party, and they're upfront about it.
It's a big constituency there, so they can't back off.
If we can't win on that, you ought to just give it up.
Let's go do something else.
But this thing with the guns, right?
And Cornyn, he's trying to show everybody, I'm the leader of the Senate.
I can be a big deal maker.
When Republicans make deals, what they do is compromise.
The way they make deals is the Democrats never give any ground.
They basically compromise, whether it's on spending, whether it's on new programmatic issues.
Why do you think things continue to metastasize?
unidentified
202-224-3121.
steve bannon
Please call, that's a switch for the United States Senate, please call your United States Senator or pick one you particularly like and make sure they know today you want Cornyn and this crowd to just stop, all put pencils down and just walk away.
Because you're never going to get anything.
And number two, there's no need to give these guys any wins, and it's not about the gun grabs anyway.
Where is the information of where the kid got the cash?
Where is the information of who took him to get the guns?
Where is the information of what his psychological state?
Everything, all these shooters are the same.
Right?
All these shooters are saying, where's all the information about that?
They're holding that back, withholding it, and what they want to do is they want to come and grab your guns.
They have to be so blunt about it.
Dave Brat?
dave brat
Yeah, just two quick points.
If the left really is scared of totalitarian regimes, they should be in favor of the Second Amendment, right?
So that's point number one, just on principle.
That's the serious position constitutionally.
That's why it was set up and put there, following the First Amendment, free speech, free assembly, and all that.
Number two, Senator Cornyn, I like him.
He was great to me, good friend, but I just tell him, I hope his office is listening, all the Senators up there, you cannot chip away at the Second Amendment.
We've been chipping away at the Federal Reserve, we've been chipping away at the debt forever, and now we're in freefall collapse.
So this is no time for this chipping away At the second amendment, because it's allowing the left to form the architecture long run, which they're fine with.
They just take 10 yards and then we remain neutral.
We never take yards on the football field.
And they're taking yards and it's crashing our country.
So US Senate folks call in today, stop that thing.
steve bannon
Cornett even walked away already because these guys are going to double and triple deal you.
The number, 202-224-3121.
On a Friday in mid-June, let's light them up.
They're getting ready.
They're all, you know, they're going to take off this weekend, then next week they're going to come back and work a couple of days, then take off for the July 4th break.
Essentially, there's not a ton of work days.
You know, there are all those rumors.
Manchin's got this, you know, the climate bill and all this nonsense.
There's not that many work days between now and actually Election Day.
And early voting starts right after Labor Day, which we're going to get very focused on.
And we've got, obviously, big primaries next week.
But I want to go back to this guns issue, because this is also not my line of country.
But this one is so fundamental and so important that they're using these tragedies to do things that are not related to the tragedies themselves.
Give them mentality.
You said they're chipping away at the Federal Reserve and the debt.
When you say that they're chipping away, they're taking more and more and having more and more authority to use that without the conservatives or really the Trump movement or MAGA getting anything in return.
dave brat
Yeah, and if you want to go to someone who knows, go to Tom Massey, Congressman Massey.
He's MIT's smartest guy on guns.
He's got all the evidence.
John Lott.
Go read his book, his stuff, all the evidence.
steve bannon
His best book is More Guns, Less Crime.
And the title freaks him out.
The most polite society we'd ever had, not just the Victorian era, the most polite society we ever had was the Western Frontier.
Everybody had a gun, everybody treated people with respect because you didn't know when a guy was going to draw down on you if you came at him with that respect.
dave brat
I've been meeting with African leaders lately, They want to get federalism and decentralization in their countries.
They don't.
They're sick of the tyrants running from the top, right?
And if you just look at the history of nations, that Second Amendment, that is keeping our system safe.
As long as you have that one, that's a strong signal that the chipping away... Now you know the mainstream media is going to go absolutely crazy on you now.
steve bannon
Oh, you want guns to go against the government.
This is the January 6th.
This is the insurrectionist party.
dave brat
The government is sorry under us.
We the people are the sovereign in the Constitution.
steve bannon
Democrats don't believe that.
They believe your rights actually come from government and don't come from God.
dave brat
And there's your fundamental split and that also comes from the split in the music.
Well, it all comes from your view of human nature, right?
If you haven't read a history book, read one.
And this is not just Christian.
This is Aristotle, Plato, Kant, Hume, Hobbes, the Leviathan, etc.
All of Western Civ, any smart person knows that human nature, left to its own, is self-centered, to put it mildly.
Read Freud if you want to go deeper.
So, in order to protect ourselves, we've separated powers, both vertically and horizontally, federal, state, local, and at the Fed we've split the powers.
We're moving away from that.
Now we have oligarchs.
Our top five oligarch firms have market cap that's worth all European firms combined.
They're way too much concentrated power.
steve bannon
Is the difference, we're going to go to break here, quickly, is the difference between, the fundamental difference between the American Revolution and the French Revolution is that in the French Declaration of the Rights of Man and Everything, they believe that all rights came from the state?
unidentified
Yes.
steve bannon
Of all from the state, versus the American Revolution, which natural law, which, your rights come from God.
dave brat
And they come out of Rousseau.
Go read on the difference between Rousseau, who thought human nature was good, couldn't ever explain that, versus John Locke.
And we chose to go Locke, and we're way more successful.
steve bannon
Locke-ian.
Okay, short break.
We got Ben Harnwell, we got Rudy, we got Liz Ure, we got Naomi Wolf.
We're going through a lot today.
A couple of special surprises.
Gonna chop a lot of wood.
And you're gonna call the Senate next in the War Room.
unidentified
War Room.
Pandemic.
With Stephen K. Banham.
The epidemic is a demon, and we cannot let this demon hide.
War Room.
Pandemic.
rudy giuliani
Here's your host, Stephen K. Bannon.
steve bannon
I really want to thank you for doing this.
It's a big deal to us.
The audience loves it, right, when you're in.
So we really appreciate you.
I know your schedule down there is brutal.
dave brat
It's an honor to be here.
steve bannon
We love the work you're doing.
Dave Bratts, my co-host, For the next couple of hours.
We've got a lot of great stuff to go through.
I'm really excited about this.
I'm most excited.
By the way, once again, let me give this to you, and if Denver can get up on the Chiron at some time.
It is most important today, once again, the War Room has got to come back and do its work.
You guys have been doing great.
This is one of the reasons they're wobbly.
You heard Willie Guy say they don't have the 14.
They want 14 to cover over the 60.
Already they don't have that.
They know that.
2-0-2-2-2-4-3-1-2-1.
Call his office.
They should stop all discussions with Democrats immediately.
Immediately and walk away.
We'll discuss all that after we take over and win the Senate next year.
We'll have discussions.
Okay, let's go to Rudy.
Rudy, there's a major poll from Siena, which, you know, Siena and Quinnipiac are two, I think, terrific polling operations in Emerson, too.
And they're not Trafalgar.
They're not Breitbart.
They're not Gateway Pundit.
These are center-left.
They've got post-debate.
Giuliani at 50% and leaves approval, favorability, Giuliani at 50% and Zeldin at 36%.
That reinforces what I said just watching it as an observer.
Yeah, it sure does.
Andrew, tell me about this.
rudy giuliani
Well, I mean, he was at 5% two weeks ago.
He has been leading in that poll mostly, not always, but with Zeldin's commercials and everything, it was about 6%, it was actually 6% exactly 10 days ago.
So that's quite a jump in that short period of time.
And I have to imagine a lot of it had to do with the debate, where not only did Andrew win it, but Zeldin lost it.
I mean, the other two candidates, OK, you can say what you want, but Zeldin just attacked everybody in sight.
unidentified
I thought he was going to attack the camera people.
rudy giuliani
And he didn't sound like a governor.
He sounded like a whiny congressman, which is what he is.
And Andrew, Andrew stayed away from all that silliness.
You know, what was it about Rolex Rob, which nobody even realizes what it means.
I was trained by Roger Ailes and he says, if you're going to deliver a negative, make sure they understand it.
You're the only one who understands it.
All you do is look stupid.
But in any event, Andrew laid out, I think the main thing was his $5 billion program to refund the police, which reminds people of Clinton's program, believe it or not.
In 1996 to refund the police and that didn't start the crime decline.
I was already at about 20% 25.
I can't tell you it hurt me having all that extra money to hire more police and to hire get more technological equipment helped a lot.
steve bannon
Okay, he's the law and order guy, and I think there's a law and order, the anarchy in New York City, and the anarchy in places like Rochester, which the murder rate's up.
Let me ask you, there were two endorsements, one yesterday afternoon, live on the show, and we're pushing it hard.
General Mike Flynn came in, a no-nonsense guy, and said, You know, I've looked at the candidates, and Lee Zeldin used to work for me, and Lee's a pleasant guy.
He's just not an executive, and particularly in a time of a crisis, and New York's in a crisis.
And I'll tell you what New York's in a crisis they don't want to talk about, the unfunded pension liability in New York State, particularly with these market crashes, and Brad's going to talk about the turmoil in the capital markets here in a moment.
You need a guy like Andrew Giuliani.
You need a law and order guy.
And Lee's just not an executive, right?
He's a good congressman, but he's not an executive.
Very different being a legislator than having to step in and be an executive.
Flynn comes in hard for Andrew.
Having Lee have a personal relationship with him is a big deal.
Then the New York Post, though, says, and they did it because of They said Lee Zeldin's performance in the debate.
I miss it.
They see the same debate.
Has there been another debate, Rudy, that they saw that we did?
I'm serious.
unidentified
When they said that, I said, get the tape out.
rudy giuliani
I expected them to endorse Zeldin because they're into the bit of a let's move on from Trump idea.
And Andrew, after all, is the one who's the America first candidate and the MAGA candidate.
And Lee clearly, at this point, is not.
So I expected it, but it was on a Friday.
It was not even on the editorial page, and I think they may be a little embarrassed of the endorsement, but that's up to them.
I'll take General Flynn over the New York Post.
You know, I love the New York Post, but there are a bunch of reporters.
I'll take General Flynn over that, him, over him, them, and by the way, Flynn knows the two of them.
steve bannon
That's my point.
Zeldin worked for him.
Not knowing Zeldin worked for him over DA.
But I think there's a bigger theme here with the Post and the Murdoch's own journal.
Peggy Noonan's out.
Crazy Aunt Peggy is out with the biggest pearl-clutching editorial in the Wall Street Journal.
I think it was yesterday.
It's up on Drudge today about Trump voters got to move on.
He was fine for 16, but they got to move on in 2024.
She's telling the Trump voters she's the most never-Trumper.
Right?
She's a super never-turner.
She's telling the Trump voters since she can really, MAGA can relate to her, you know, crazy Aunt Peggy with the, you know, clutching the pearls all the time.
So what is it about the Murdoch?
The Murdoch papers are, they're not, and Wall Street journals definitely, but they're not, and Fox News is getting like this, the Murdoch operation is kind of an anti-Trump, anti-MAGA.
They want MAGA votes.
They don't want MAGA's attitude.
Rudy Giuliani.
rudy giuliani
Yeah, I mean, it goes from hard to Wall Street Journal to a little softer in Fox and even a little softer in the Post.
I think a lot of the reporters in the Post are for Trump.
But this is part of the movement in New York.
The New York GOP is going that way, too.
The whole GOP.
That's why we're having this primary.
I mean, the chairman made it clear.
I don't want Andrew in this primary because he'll remind people of Trump.
And then he refused to let any candidate use the name Trump at the convention.
And Andrew defied him and said, the hell with you.
I'm going to be a governor.
Let me show you how I govern.
I make my own decisions.
I don't let bosses push me around.
And Zeldin gave the other impression, which is, yes, boss, I'll do what you want.
I won't mention Trump.
I'll double cross him.
And then he went ahead and endorsed a major, a major rhino, Gabbarino, who voted for the January 6th committee.
You can thank him for some of the troubles we have.
And also voted for the inflation creator, phony infrastructure bill.
Only 11 Republicans sit in that category.
Five have already resigned.
And Zeldin has endorsed them at another RINO.
So he's trying to build, they're trying to build a party without Trump.
Let's get all of Trump's help, all the good work they did.
Let's freeze the guy out.
They gotta learn something.
We don't have a candidate in our party that can campaign like Donald Trump.
I know the rest of them.
I like them a lot.
And if we gotta go with them, I'll be their biggest supporter.
But you're gonna lose a lot.
steve bannon
Or Governor Washington.
Washington's not some state.
You've got all the powers on earth against the MAGA agenda in America First.
It's not like, as much as some of these governors have done great jobs, and I love some of them, and I particularly love their actions, maybe personally then I might cup of tea, but their actions have been amazing, that ain't Washington, D.C.
That's a difference between, you know, fabulous, fabulous, great AAA ball and the bigs.
Coming up for a cup of coffee.
Rudy, where are you going to be?
The key to this thing now, Andrew's got no money, or the money that Magga puts in.
He's got other well-funded opponents, very well-funded.
They're up on TV non-stop, so Andrew's got to do this the old-fashioned way with grassroots.
Just walk people through.
How do they find out where you're going to be?
Because you're going one direction, Andrew's going another, and every now and again, it's like...
In the 2016 campaign when I weaponized Rudy Giuliani and sent him throughout the country.
unidentified
You did.
steve bannon
You know, the only thing, I had to keep it quiet from the boss that the crowds Rudy was drawn.
You know, because Trump's always checking the crowds.
rudy giuliani
I always told them they weren't as big.
They never were as big.
They were enthusiastic though.
They were not, for me, they were the best they ever had.
But I mean, compared to him, I mean, that's the thing you gotta, I want to say to Republicans, just don't, don't, I've been, I've been involved in five presidential campaigns and I've been watching this since Eisenhower.
There's never been a candidate like Donald Trump.
Nobody can do what he does.
In fact, I think one of the reasons, one of the reasons he didn't get even as big a vote as he could have gotten, he got cheated out of those rallies at the end.
You know that those were our secret weapon.
We'd have him rally 20 times a day if we could, right?
I mean, we go to those places, our numbers go up 3%.
Boom.
Nobody does that.
steve bannon
The way we won it is that, remember, right after the Billy Bush and that last debate, we put him on the road.
People would tell you, talk to people, if you talk to an audience of 10 or 15 or 20 people, you know this, Brad, you're drained at the end of it.
We had Trump on that Sunday before the election.
We started at six o'clock in the morning in Colorado.
I think we went to eight, nine, ten events and each one's got, yes, and by the way, Andrew's cutting from the same cloth.
rudy giuliani
New Year's.
The president wanted to know what kind of candidates going to be on New Year's.
When I went to his party, he said to me, I'm getting all kinds of reports back.
He's really a great candidate.
They said they're telling they're telling me he's got energy like me.
He said, like I said, Donald, I think it's actually more like me.
But the fact is, I was in Buffalo today, last night.
Unbelievable meeting.
It was a crowd that was 50-50, Giuliani, probably Zeldin and a few others.
And if we didn't have 100% by the time we left, I'd be shocked.
Volunteers, people going out.
It's a major gathering of five patriot groups called the Constitutional Group.
This morning, we're going to do a press conference here in Buffalo.
We're going to make a couple of stops.
Then we head over to Rochester for tomorrow.
And then we'll head over to Syracuse.
steve bannon
Okay, you're going all over.
So how do people, where do they go now to see where you're going to be?
And I want everybody in the War Room posse that's in the state of New York, I want you to go to a Rudy or Andrew event and I want you to go up and tell them that you saw this on the War Room.
rudy giuliani
Giuliani4NewYork.com.
It'll tell you exactly where we're going to be.
It'll have your schedule on it, Giuliani.
ForNewYork.com.
It'll have my schedule, it'll have Andrew's schedule, and if we're in your neighborhood, show up, we'll give you a hat and a t-shirt.
How's that?
steve bannon
You're also doing your show every day?
rudy giuliani
Yeah, I'll be doing it at three o'clock on the road.
I'll probably be doing it at Buffalo today.
unidentified
We're going to see everybody in New York between now and Friday.
steve bannon
Done.
Well, we're going to have you on every day.
Rudy, thank you very much.
Dr. Ryan, thank you very much for keeping Rudy on schedule.
Dr. Maria Ryan, the number one news host on Sunday mornings, WABC.
Short break.
Back in a moment.
unidentified
War Room.
Pandemic.
Let's take down the TT.
War Room. Pandemic. With Stephen K. Bannon.
The epidemic is a demon and we cannot let this demon hide.
War Room.
Pandemic.
rudy giuliani
Here's your host, Stephen K. Bannon.
steve bannon
Okay, welcome back.
You know, yesterday, Walmart, the great Walmart, showing how they don't support your values, woke Walmart, canceled, pretty breathtaking, canceled MyPillow.
And I just want to tell you, from my investment banking days, when you analyze these stories, see these management teams, when you walk into a grocery, one of these Whole Foods or these grocery stores, or you walk into a Walmart, you walk into a Costco, you're walking onto a digital battlefield.
And what I mean by that is every square centimeter of that place, It's brutal.
is so analyzed on the metrics and the numbers, right?
And particularly free cash flow coming out of that metric.
And baby, if it ain't moving, it's gone.
It's brutal. It is the killing field of companies.
Now, when you have a product like a pillow that's with the kind of margins he's got in the pillows and they're selling for those numbers, and it's the number one product.
When they come and they go, yeah, we looked at, we reviewed it, and it's out, they're taking a hit.
And these are companies that don't take those type of hits.
That shows you how much they hate what their clients, what their customer base stands for.
There's no, I mean, Walmart's the store of MAGA, right?
The deplorables.
Just remember when you walk in there, the Walton family and the Robeson family.
It wasn't like that with Sam Walton in the old days.
But it's like all these entrepreneurs, remember, the Ford Foundation, right?
Originally, right, these guys are the hardest core you meet.
Hardcore.
And now you get these foundations.
The foundations are so radical.
Ford Foundation, Rockefeller Foundation, the Waltons, the Robesons.
These are mega progressives.
Now, any kind of thing they put up in the front is performative about they want tax cuts and deregulation.
But they don't support your cultural agenda.
They don't support the real economics.
They don't put populism.
They don't support economic nationalism.
They're total open borders.
One of the good things on Walmart I learned early on is that you want to check the number of illegal aliens in the country.
unidentified
You can watch it off our quarterly earnings report.
steve bannon
And I said, what's that?
And they said, well, 40%, 50% of the customers don't have checking accounts, don't have bank accounts.
It's all cash.
And they said they can monitor.
That illegal aliens just off the cash transactions of the store.
Remember, one of the great things about this, the Biden economic meltdown, was the CEO of Walmart talking a couple weeks ago to analysts on Wall Street on the conference call.
He said, hey, we see that that customers are going to courts instead of the half gallons.
Right.
And the reason they're going to cut back the milk to the kids.
Just an analysis last night I saw in England where the numbers are up 15%.
They're really up 50%, but they're up 15%.
And they said, these are the grocery store guys talking, and they said they're already seeing their customer marketing check-ins they're doing in the stores.
People are planning, as they're shopping, on skipping meals.
Now, I'm saying for health reasons, that's fine.
If you, as a free man or woman, want to do that, you want your health better, that's fine.
unidentified
It's perfect.
steve bannon
It's probably better for you health-wise.
That's not what we're talking about.
They're doing it in a forced situation because of these costs.
Now, I get back to MyPillow.
They cancelled MyPillow from Walmart.
I mean, it's pretty breathtaking.
Mike Lindell, one of the things he sacrificed.
I realize some people say, hey, crazy Mike Lindell.
Look.
His, not just heart, he puts his money where his mouth is.
This guy never takes a day, he does take a second off.
He's going to be out talking to this thing, he's playing another big, he's with Laura Logan in this film, and they're doing about the machines, another big thing, I think it's coming in August.
He's put in tens of millions of dollars as the guardian, all the left-wing papers are on him non-stop.
You can't see him on Newsmax.
You can't see him on Fox.
You can't even see him on One America anymore.
You can't see him on any conservative thing except his own channel.
And when he comes on here, I think he does some other stuff with the Real American's Voice.
But they cancel it.
And the reason is they're trying to put him out of business.
Because they realize he doesn't go buy yachts.
He doesn't go hang out and buy these huge ranches up in Wyoming.
He puts his money back into this freedom movement and this patriot movement.
And they want to put him out of business.
They've made a decision.
They want to choke him down.
So go to MyPillow.
If you want the pillows now, all the Walmart shoppers, check out Aisle 3.
It ain't on Aisle 3.
It's a cleanup on Aisle 3.
You gotta go to... Hey, his biggest marketing groups now are the people that have shows like this and are able to talk about it.
So go to MyPillow.com, promo code WORM.
The pillows are $19.88.
He gave Walmart this deal and here's what they said.
How about this?
Nothing.
Just after they did the biggest order, he knew they were lying to him because they just did the biggest order a couple of months ago, then they came back, this is wokeness.
This is the corporate, and Walmart understands something.
We're coming to power, and we're, we got, you know, I'm an Irishman.
You know, you know the story about the Irishman that got Alzheimer's.
He forgot the grudges, okay?
So hey, you're in the book.
You're in the John Ford movie.
You're in the book.
Walmart, you're going to be one of the... And we are going to... And this is what I admire about Ron DeSantis.
He punched Disney right in the mouth.
Okay?
Gave him a punch right in the mouth.
And this is what these corporations have to be brought to heel.
And this Republican Country Club, you know, Chamber of Commerce attitude, those days are over.
The corporations are the woke, they're the app, they're the delivery instrument.
Dave Brat, I know I'm going against your Austrian economics.
dave brat
Oh, no, you're not.
Oh, no, no, it's about self-interest.
And they're opposing my self-interest.
steve bannon
You agree the corporations are out of control?
dave brat
Well, they're run amok, right?
Our big five tech firms have market cap equal to all of European firms combined.
Let that soak in.
Or the equivalent of all of China.
steve bannon
Did the founders, when they broke off from the aristocracy of the British Empire, did they ever envision modern America in what we have as a concentration of wealth and power?
dave brat
No, they had federalism, they had senators being picked by the states, they had all sorts of rules where this could never happen.
The Fed we're going to get to needs some rules.
We used to be a rules-based order in a good sense that protected the individual person, and now it's just completely broken.
And the left talks about democracy.
My word, the billionaire oligarch guys, they're the ones that are running your democracy.
I mean, everybody knows this, right?
So, and they're all on the left, right?
Just go down the top five CEOs and all that, look at the Twitter wars now with must the whole inner rebellions of the company going against one the new owner perhaps but you may have caught I put that up on and get her last night that he goes and has a the thing is for me his kind of disinterest and not really understand the economic model of Twitter and quite frankly not caring and but the employees full the Twinkies are full meltdown
steve bannon
snowflakes the snowflakes complete thing Give me some updates, you're my economist, you're my wingman, give me some updates on capital markets.
dave brat
Denver's got a couple of charts.
I just wanted to go over the Fed raised the rates .75.
You know, it's way beyond what the market's expected, but it's not nearly enough what they should do, right?
The Taylor Rule calls for about 7 or 8 percent right now for the federal funds rate.
unidentified
Whoa, whoa, whoa, whoa, whoa.
steve bannon
People understand.
Right now, it's about one point... One and a half.
One and a half.
And it's been historic.
It was at zero.
dave brat
Ten years.
For ten years.
steve bannon
Ten years, ladies and gentlemen.
You don't understand the scam that's been played on you.
The Fed gave the banks free money.
They just created free money.
Free money.
That's why this thing's so out of whack.
For a decade.
And now, when you've done it to a point and a half, and you're saying, Taylor, and you, would say it should be seven, eight.
dave brat
And obviously you don't want to do it now, or we'd be in a Great Depression, right?
We got a recession coming.
And so, we got that chart, Cameron, we got the, Denver got the one up, Right, this one shows you the inflation expectations curve that the Fed is looking at.
This came out last Friday.
And so at the very right, you can see inflation expectations jumping up through the roof.
And that's why the Fed had to go 0.75 up, right?
To fight inflation.
And the famous phrase on inflation is, once the horse is out of the barn, very hard to trap.
And so now the new consensus, right?
You won't see this from the blue chip firms or the Fed, but the new consensus is this is with us for years.
And so in the next chart we got coming up.
Can you read that off for me?
steve bannon
Dave, it's your chart.
dave brat
My age is sinking in here.
Here's the cheerleading.
steve bannon
I love you bringing a guest on.
He's sitting there mumbling.
Professor, that's your chart.
dave brat
What are you doing here?
Brad, you're getting too... I'm like 10 feet away from a one-inch chart.
You made the chart!
No, I got it.
Wait, yeah, so this thing, here's the Fed cheerleading, right?
When I said chipping away at the Fed for years.
The Fed's been cheerleading forever, right?
Bernanke, they asked him before 07-08, how's the housing market?
Oh, it's just great.
Nothing to see here, right?
Until a total economic meltdown, right?
And so, okay, that's okay when you're in a crisis.
But when do you start telling the truth, right?
They're talking about Fed credibility.
They've never had any credibility since 07-08.
That's why we need a tailored rule.
steve bannon
This is a very important point.
Since they lied and kicked the can down the road, in what's called the Greenspan put, every time the markets would get jiggy, they would basically open the floodgates of rate cuts and more importantly, the quantitative easing to put cash into the system.
They're always flooding the zone with cash, easy money, right?
Just printing it, just printing it, and that's the markets would pop.
They've never wanted to face the music, and this has been a decade of abuse.
Hey, here's my point, and I'm glad you're on here today.
I'm going to shake them all up because Bannon wants to burn everything down.
No, what we want to do is get these institutions off kilter.
Let me be brutally frank.
The Federal Reserve, and I don't need to audit the Fed.
I don't care what's on their books.
It would shock you so much you don't want to see it.
We need to totally reorganize the Fed.
The ownership structure of the Fed, we should not have an independent agency.
Run by the banks.
Because back in the old days, people said, well, the banks were judicious.
The banks had discernment.
You know, you had these crazy, you know, William Jennings, Brian and Andrew Jackson, right-wing populists, had that left-wing Christian populist.
You had people running around, didn't know anything, these farmers.
Although they knew everything, I thought.
We have to have men of substance.
J.P.
Morgan and these guys have got to own it.
We'll go down to Jekyll Island and we'll cut a deal, okay?
Now, the banks are the worst.
We have 50 years of track record.
They can't be trusted at all.
First of all, they don't even understand their own business.
They're terrible.
It's all boom and bust.
We need to take the power of our currency back.
Now they're going to go freaking out and say, Bannon, oh my God, now they're talking about getting their hands on the money.
These guys have got to be put down.
We're coming for the Fed.
The Fed has to be the ownership of the Fed.
Do you agree with me?
dave brat
Yeah, I agree.
It's been 20 years, right?
I used to teach economics at Randolph-Macon.
I wasn't some professional economist.
I spent my whole life researching inflation.
But in a few hours, I could come to a better estimate than the Fed.
The Fed was cheerleading, optimistic every single time, just like the bank, the blue chip, the big firms.
The big firms and your financial advisors also.
See if your financial advisor always gives you optimistic news.
Or do they ever tell you the truth and the reality?
Go ask them right now what's happening.
steve bannon
It's Jim Cramer on CNBC.
That's why we pull him out all the time.
dave brat
He's got the stocks going.
steve bannon
It's just the pom-poms.
Hey, buy the dip.
dave brat
Keep it going and tell it bust.
Well, now it's really going to bust.
steve bannon
Where are the customers' yachts?
dave brat
And now you've got the recessionary fears coming in at over 50%.
steve bannon
But this is going to be more than a recession.
This is going to be something worse.
Do you believe... You want to see the fight of all time, ladies and gentlemen.
You say it doesn't matter.
You want to see the biggest fight?
We say we're going to liquidate the Fed and redo the ownership.
They will.
This will be Stalingrad.
They will fight you for every inch of that.
dave brat
And Congress should just put in law, right?
And you do this now, coming out of the crack.
You put in the Taylor Rule.
You print as much money, right?
So if the GDP's growing at 3%, you print 3% more money.
That's straight Milton Friedman.
Taylor made it a little better.
And he's got a little bit more complexity built in the rule.
And then you can always have the asterisk, right?
If you go into a bear market and the markets are losing over 20%, you put in a little clause that only when you get to that point does the Fed get to pump a little liquidity in there to save the day.
But no more of this micromanaging our economy and our price system.
And just for the folks out there who don't know economics, the interest rate is the price of money, right?
It's the price you pay to own money.
And it's the central price.
steve bannon
In your life.
dave brat
So if you mess up the central price, the Fed sets it.
If you mess with that one, what do you think the rest of the system is going to do?
Collapse!
steve bannon
That's where you're at right now.
Your financial system you live with right now is structured on zero interest rates.
That's right.
That's why, even at 75 basis points, you're seeing these perturbations that are going to happen.
We're here to make sure that we can explain this so you can then take it and use it in your own life.
unidentified
Right?
steve bannon
The 10-year treasury, the inverted euro curve.
They want it to be all mysterious.
unidentified
It's not.
steve bannon
It's pretty basic.
Okay, back in a moment.
unidentified

Hey, welcome back.
I'm going to go to Ben Harnwell in a second.
Breaking news.
I'm getting this from part of the boardroom engine room in Scotland that provides this stuff non-stop.
BBC breaking news.
European heatwave.
Outdoor events banned in parts of France.
Was it too hot?
Come on, this is in France.
When Caesar was there in Gaul, man, they were kicking the Roman legions butt.
The Gauls were so savage.
What are we talking about?
Come on, man!
Come on, man!
What is happening here?
We're going to get more of that.
Ben Harnwell, I hate to say that, and I'm not trying to get bragging rights here, but it's very disturbing, the situation in Ukraine, particularly the casualties that are coming up, the Russian artillery.
It's like none of these guys read, you know, Zelensky's, with Johnson, Swan, and Davos, and Zelensky's sitting there, you know, yammering on about, oh, the guys in the West don't support us, I'll read the memoirs of World War II, but no offense, Zelensky, I've forgotten more about World War II than you'll ever know, okay?
And the one memoirs I remember reading were the Marshals of the Russian Army, and they're doing the same thing to you that they did to the Wehrmacht, okay?
And it's not pretty, but it's relentless.
Remember, there's a great article we've got up, and we're going to get the author next week.
It's a culmination of these small lies that you've heard non-stop.
The Russian military is all drunk.
They're not winning and everything like that.
They're pounding the Donbass, the Eastern-speaking region.
And it's becoming obvious that the West, now they've got a shotgun, a double-barreled shotgun, food and energy pressed to their forehead, and the Russians now, in partnership with the Chinese, the Persians, Turks, and quite frankly, the Gulf Emirates, let's be blunt about it, plus Pakistan, are now uniting around this new axis that we forced the Russians into the waiting arms of the Chinese Communist Party,
And this is not something even a Trump can turn around in a couple of years.
What the Democrats, Davos, NATO, Brussels have been able to do in one year of this illegitimate Biden regime is set up a geopolitical nightmare that is going to take us half this century.
It's going to be a mid-century with one MAGA, America First, administration after the other to sort this thing out.
Ben Harnwell, give us an update.
ben harnwell
Morning.
Well, I did a live stream on this yesterday on the new axis, the geopolitical dynamic between Turkey, Russia and Iran going into Syria.
I'm going to end.
You just mentioned the lies that are circulating now.
I'm going to end with a lie from the US State Department.
But in the lead-up, I've got six points that I'm going to mention before we close the first hour.
Let's start with just a quick review of the chaos and disorder that is growing around the world because of the elective, the decision we have freely made to impose sanctions on a country we in the West could not afford to do.
So let's go to Australia, where they have invoked, the government has invoked emergency powers To block coal exports in the energy crisis.
The authorities have permitted themselves to keep supplies after consumers are told to turn off the lights.
Now over to Germany, where the Germans have been told to conserve energy as Russia has cut its gas flows to Europe.
I'm going to come back to that a little later.
Conserving energy, the Germans have been told.
We're going to Italy now.
This is something I picked up on the live stream yesterday, where Gazprom had cut on Wednesday, cut by 15% the supply of gas to Italy. Yesterday it was further reduced to 35 percent.
Today Gazprom has cut its supply to Italy by 50 percent. The Russians are saying, oh, they're not offering a reason. Gazprom is saying, oh, we think there's some technical issue on the Russians. Sure, there's an issue.
I'll tell you what the issue is. It's the fact that Mario Draghi went over and paid homage at the court of King Vladimir.
That's what this is punishment for.
But of course, naturally, our authorities here in Italy are lying to us about that.
So we don't associate the effects that we feel materially with the cause that they are responsible for.
Now, yesterday we mentioned briefly – I'm going to come back to this because it's important, you see – the Wall Street Journal's article which said that sanctions so far failed to dent Russia's war effort.
So, OK, I'm going to stop briefly by the article here by the War Room's old friend Edward Luce.
Democrats have stopped listening to America's voters.
It asks the question at the beginning, how can you tell if American cultural liberals have gone too far when San Franciscans throw them out of office?
The whole article is worth a look.
I know we sometimes on The War Room give a tough time to Ed Luce, but this article particularly, I think there's a turning around of perception there at the FT.
And I'm going to, as I said, I'm going to end with this question.
And this is an article that's carried by Reuters, and it's with record pump prices, Biden is hard pressed to ramp up Russian sanctions.
And here's the thing that they're talking about.
Built on the success of the first round of sanctions, the Biden administration is now considering secondary, imposing secondary sanctions, for example, a price cap on oil and gas, which the West is buying from Russia.
That is where they come in and they establish a price that we can buy it on.
Here, right, I'm going to end with this, Steve.
Here is the quote, right, and this is from a State Department spokesman to Reuters today.
What is happening is less about how much Russian oil is going off the market and more about Russia's declining oil profits as a result of being forced to sell at steep discounts.
Now, Steve, as we've spoken about on the show already, that is a bare faced lie.
It is totally not true.
Right.
Russia has a record 93 billion euros worth of revenue right now because the price has been pushed high thanks to the sanctions.
Yeah.
According to CBS, the ruble is the world's strongest currency.
steve bannon
The world's strongest currency.
Hang on, we're taking a short break.
I want the headline in the Financial Times.
Ukraine's drive to join EU gains impetus from European leaders.
I hope the honored dead in Ukraine, the women and children, it's all for the EU.
That's been a scam from the beginning.
A complete scam.
By the way, breaking news on Daily Mail.
Prince William sent a letter to the Capitol Hill police officer saying they upheld democracy.
The royal family in England ought to butt out.
