Step out of my area for one second.
I think the banana Republicans who are saying that what happened on January 6th was nothing or okay.
Are undermining the basic credibility of our country's institutions.
And that in turn feeds through for inflation.
Because if you can't trust the country's government, why should you trust its money?
So I think it's terribly important that we take the temperature down in Washington, that we recognize behavior that's just out of bounds of reasonable indecency.
We give the Fed the room it needs.
We bring down the budget deficit.
We take down prices directly through prescription drugs.
This is a challenge. | ||
That we can meet if we're prepared to be serious about taking it on.
Should the GOP retake Congress in the fall?
What happens to the January 6th committee investigation and its findings?
And what might the GOP do or not do with their newly claimed power?
So the January 6 Commission would cease to exist.
The findings will be completely suppressed and will not be admitted into any further investigations while the GOP will be in power.
They would impeach President Biden as quickly as possible, and they will continue to find ways to impeach him going forward.
It would also embolden Republicans and the far right and white nationalists across the country to begin to believe that it is their time to not just take power in the House, but the Senate, the White House, and state houses across the country.
And we got to understand that this is a group that has been radicalized by the Great Replacement myth and many other things, and have been pushing for violence and pushing for even civil war.
So that is what's at stake right now in terms of this election.
Select Committee's Chairman, Benny Thompson, told reporters tonight the committee will not be making any criminal referral to the Department of Justice regarding the former president or anyone else in his orbit.
Do you agree with that decision?
Even the committee uncovers evidence of criminal wrongdoing?
You know, I haven't seen the chairman's statements.
We haven't had a discussion about that.
So I don't know that the committee has reached a position on whether we make a referral or what the referrals might be.
I thought we were deferring that decision until we concluded our investigation.
At least that's my understanding.
Well, I wanted to ask you whether you had a chance to look at the hearings or watch the hearings on Capitol Hill on the January 6th by the January 6th Committee, and if you've learned anything perhaps that could be useful in the Justice Department's work.
I am watching and I will be watching all the hearings, although I may not be able to watch all of it live.
But I'll be sure that I'll be watching all of it, and I can assure you that the January 6th prosecutors are watching all the hearings as well.
I think what we are seeing from Bill Barr and certainly others along the J6 lineup there, and you've said it already, they can't Handle the truth.
Our process is broken. | ||
Federal government and the state political apparatchiks don't want anything to do with this because it's a nice layer of insulation between them and the American people.
Meanwhile, 87% now, I think, of Americans are saying something is wrong with our elections.
And, you know, beware Beware the fury of arisen people.
This is not going to go well if they continue to push this aside.
Our process is broken and Americans are demanding answers.
If the best they can do is point out that there wasn't sufficient video to end Bill Barr, then let's sit down and talk about it.
Rather than take cheap shots, let's sit down and talk about it.
Glad to do it. | ||
Anytime. | ||
Name the place. | ||
Has Bill Barr ever reached out to you about the film that's been out, what now, six weeks?
Has Bill Barr ever reached out to you, yes or no?
unidentified
|
No. | |
No. | ||
Has Bill Barr, any people associated with Bill Barr, ever asked to see, sit down and interview you and Greg and get back and go through the details of your digital information and your footage, ma'am?
unidentified
|
No. | |
Has the committee reached out to you to have you, Greg, and Dinesh address the committee or talk to the staff of the committee, show the material they have and the material that didn't make the film, to go through it systematically?
Has the committee reached out to you?
unidentified
|
No. | |
So the committee is basing all this, they're laughing and they're basing all this off of Bill Barr, a cheap shot, cheap spin shot, which the GBI is obviously a spin, they're very nervous there.
So the committee has never done, this is the first time that you've heard any interest of the committee.
Obviously they have an interest because you said everybody, she said everybody's talking about it, everybody is talking about it.
Everybody's talking about it, that's right.
That's one of the left wing hacks in the J6.
Would you be prepared, ma'am, you and Greg and Dinesh, would you three be prepared to go to the committee staff and to sit with the committee on national television and walk through your facts, ma'am?
unidentified
|
Absolutely. | |
Absolutely. | ||
Anytime. | ||
Wow, that called open is kind of a work of art.
I feel so glad of having mentored the staff that put that together on their own and in that own sequence.
Absolute perfection. | ||
There you have it all. | ||
Bad news. | ||
Trouble in paradise. | ||
Benny Thompson drops a truth bomb.
We don't have the authority.
Here's a direct quote, which Anderson Cooper did not obviously repeat.
He told Punchbowl, Bresnahan I think it is, he told Punchbowl News, which covers the Capitol, like Axios covers the administration.
He told Punchbowl, we don't have the authority.
He said, quote, we're not an investigative body.
We're there to do a report on what happened and what can be done in the future not to happen.
That would be Benny Thompson.
Not the Hoff Brothers. | ||
Not Cain at Citizen Free Press.
And not Steve Bannon. | ||
That's Benny. | ||
Benny and the chips. | ||
Right? | ||
That's Benny. | ||
Of course, they're in Meltdown.
They've cancelled tomorrow's.
They haven't given a reason.
There are no coincidences.
They've cancelled tomorrow's hearing.
They're going to pick back up Thursday.
They're going to pick back up Thursday.
Of course you got Merrick Garland there and Graves and that crap.
Watch all you want to watch.
Watch every second of it, every minute of it.
You think anybody, anybody there, Merrick Garland, anybody calling Catherine Engelbrecht?
We did the first interview with her yesterday, afterwards, remember?
They're saying this and saying that and this guy said that thing.
What do any of these people have anything to base upon?
Oh, I made a phone call here.
It's like a circuit. | ||
I've made a phone call here.
I called this guy. | ||
Bill Barr, where's your report?
You say in your book, where's your report?
How come that didn't come forward?
Where's your report? | ||
Because that's a lie, right?
That's a lie. | ||
We'll find that that's a lie when the real investigation starts.
As a congressman talked about, the real investigation starts next January.
The real investigation Under penalty of perjury, will God go through?
Bars will be different, because bars, you're going to do the laptop from hell, you're going to do, really, what's going to put him in jail is the, uh, is not the laptop, the laptop from hell close, but what he did and what he lied about on the riots in June of 2020, when he did nothing and let this, the Justice Department said, no Tiger teams, no task force, they just sat there and let it all burn down.
Yes, that would be your DOJ.
Yes, that would be Bill Barr.
Bill Barr is directly in the line of that.
We're going to get to all of that.
So if I was a big white-shoe law firm, I don't think I'd be hiring Bill Barr.
I think you're going to have lots of problems.
I think he comes with a lot of stink on him.
A lot of hair. | ||
A lot of hair on that deal.
Walsh said that deal's got a lot of hair on it.
He's got a lot of hair on him.
Not going to be so cocky and so flippant.
Barr, who did you call? | ||
I called this guy. | ||
I called GBI. | ||
Well, what did you ask him?
Did you go through? | ||
GBI wasn't even in the process then.
They didn't even think of what Kathryn Engelberg did, and Bill Barclay lied right there in his, if you saw his thing yesterday, oh, where every truck goes by.
No, they have second, third, and fifth, down to the fifth order of analysis done here.
That won't wash. | ||
But that's a kind of flippant response that he gives.
This is not flippant. | ||
Let me make sure the Democrats understand something.
We are absolutely, maniacally focused on getting to the bottom of the steel on 3 November.
We have to. | ||
It's not about Trump. | ||
It's beyond Trump, bigger than Trump.
We have to do that. | ||
We must do that. | ||
Look at everything that's happened in our country since then.
By the way, all the countries in the world know he's not legitimate.
That's why they don't treat him with any respect.
Big news yesterday, Jake Sullivan goes to, I don't know, Brussels.
Has a big, you know, four and a half hour meeting with Tiger Yang.
Yeah, because they're preparing, they're rolling, getting ready for a kinetic war, as we've been saying in Taiwan, because I understand you guys are feckless and hapless.
And so they send Jake Sullivan.
America sleeps comfortably at night knowing Jake Sullivan's going there.
They know you're illegitimate.
The Persians and the Mullahs in Iran know you're illegitimate.
The Saudis know you're illegitimate.
They're blowing up poor Phil Mickelson, and Dustin Johnson will talk to him.
They're blowing up these guys that took the money on the guaranteed thing from the Saudi billionaire.
They're blowing him, I've never seen more vicious, tough questions.
All fine. | ||
It's all good. | ||
I want to see the Washington press corps Right?
I want to see the Washington Press Corps blow up Joe Biden.
You know, Phil Mickelson and those guys did not go over there and kowtow and beg and plead.
The Saudis came to them with the money and said, let's start this other tour.
You guys are older. | ||
You're not going to the PGA Tournament.
We'll give you guaranteed big-time dollars.
Okay? | ||
They didn't go there. | ||
The Saudis found them. | ||
Joe Biden is going to Saudi Arabia because he's so screwed up.
Everything he's touched, he's now got to go beg.
Instead of unleashing the full-spectrum energy dominance of a place called the United States of America, he's going to go over on a bended knee to the House of Saud and ask, pretty please, pretty please, can you increase your production any more?
I gotta get pretty please.
The only way he's going to wave it off, if we, because his numbers, okay, there's a new IBD, TIPP, this is why you got to go to Getter.
I put stuff up all hours of the night that people follow me on Getter.
New poll out from Investment Business Daily.
25% of the American people, 25% everybody, Approves of his handling of the economy 25% 15.
That's a one handle 15% of independents which are proxy so you take out all the crazy Republicans and Trump people you take out all the squad and the progressive left all the Democrats are loving up on him you just get down to the proxy independents 15% 85% Thinks he's he's if he goes to Saudi Arabia.
He'll be a single. | ||
It'll be a one-digit midget.
He'll be 9% Unheard of in American history.
The Buchanan family is rooting him on because he's right now, somebody compared him to Jimmy Carter, forget Jimmy Carter's a giant, Jimmy Carter's Andrew Jackson and Lincoln compared to this guy, right?
He's now down, he's in Buchanan, Millard Fillmore, he's in all those guys before the Civil War that didn't, weren't smart enough to figure it out, right?
That's where he is. | ||
He's beyond Hoover, he's down with, he's with Buchanan and Millard Fillmore.
That's where we are. | ||
With Joe. | ||
With the illegitimate regime.
And they're sitting there, oh yeah, Trump's going to beat him by 15 points.
He won't beat him because he won't run.
Gavin Newsom. | ||
I want to bring in Bernie Kerrick.
Oh, huge news, you've got the special runoff in Texas today, in South Texas.
You've got primaries in Nevada.
You've got a primary up in Maine.
You've got a primary, the bloody South Carolina one, tough.
Arrington versus the never-Trumper, who's also part of the Groomers.
She also wants to groom, right?
She's with AOC on that. | ||
Bernie Carrick. | ||
But biggest news overnight, I thought, was that the January 6th J6 thing is kind of goofy.
It's goofy. | ||
It's not serious. | ||
Goofy. | ||
We're going to have a serious one.
Stay tuned. | ||
I guarantee you, the next one you see, you will be riveted.
You will be absolutely riveted to your seat because of what we're going to do and what we're going to go through.
But last night, Andrew Giuliani.
Dude, I'm telling you, I have never been more impressed with the arc, the trajectory of a young man.
Tell me about it, Bernie.
We've got about a minute and a half, and then we're going to keep you over a break.
Andrew's going to join us.
Tell me about last night.
Well, I think you had four guys.
You had three slinging mud and scared to death to associate themselves with Donald Trump and the MAGA movement.
And you had Andrew, who talked about reducing crime, who talked about putting $5 billion back into law enforcement in the state of New York, who talked about tapping into the natural gas and fracking for New York.
He was slamming it, you know, just absolutely awesome.
And I have to tell you, Steve, you know, you mentioned it, the growth of a young man.
I've known this kid since he was like six, seven.
And it is stunning to sit back and watch him just tower over these career politicians who get up there and blab.
You know, Andrew's going to make a phenomenal governor for the state in New York, and I think it's coming.
unidentified
|
Bye! | |
Bernie, just hang on. | ||
Last night, remember, they tried to stop him at the last second because he wasn't vaccinated.
And he stood up, he says, hey, I got something better than being vaccinated.
I got natural immunity.
I had COVID. | ||
I got hurt. | ||
We're part of herd immunity.
Hello? | ||
Go back to the science. | ||
He's still bench president.
I don't think Lee Zeldin, Bernie, is going to intimidate.
I don't think he's going to intimidate Democrats.
I don't see him going full- I don't see Lee Zeldin giving a flex.
Going full beast mode. | ||
Okay, short break. | ||
Bernie's with us. | ||
Andrew Julian is going to join us.
We're on fire this morning.
unidentified
|
It's packed, as usual, because you're in the War Room.
Next. | ||
On New Yorker's Second Amendment rights, rather than empowering the police.
Look, Marsha, we need to end this war on our police.
I heard one of the other candidates invoke broken windows, invoke stop, question, and frisk.
We need to utilize programs that tick New York City specifically, and that we can do for the state.
From 2,000 murders a year in the early 90s, to less than 600 murders a year just five short years later, and then less than 300 murders a year.
Are you saying we should go back to the programs that your father instituted, Broken Windows, and Stop Question and Frisk?
Yes, I am, Marsha, clearly.
And I look at it this way.
When you look at when Stop Question and Frisk, in the late 90s, when we were between 70 and 100,000 stops a year, every single year the Justice Department ruled it constitutional.
You know who did that as Deputy Attorney General?
You know what I think people appreciate most?
Is when you ask a guy running for office a question, he gives you a direct answer.
Both barrels. | ||
Boom. | ||
Here it is. | ||
Here's my answer. | ||
It might have gone out of control.
So to be, we absolutely need to end this war on cops and allow proactive policing again.
Mr. | ||
You know what I think people appreciate most?
Is when you ask a guy running for office a question, he gives you a direct answer.
Both barrels, boom. | ||
Here it is, here's my answer.
It's the power of Trump.
It's also the power of a new rising star in the MAGA movement, Andrew Giuliani.
Andrew, I can't say enough how impressive you were last night, just in being direct, marshalling facts, no rhetoric.
Every time you talk, you bring facts, you bring analysis and evidence.
It was incredible. | ||
And no offense, the other guys, there's some nice guys up there and I know them.
They're good people, but New York's in a crisis, and you need a leader.
You need somebody who can do a flex on the Democrats, and particularly that crowd up in Albany and New York City.
Andrew Giuliani, tell us what you thought about the debate last night and how you did.
unidentified
|
Well, specifically in being direct with voters, look, I've learned from guys like Giuliani, like Trump, like Carrick, and frankly, like Bannon as well, who they are, whether you like where they stand or not, they're not going to lie to you.
They're going to tell you exactly where they are, and I'd much rather do that I think also, instead of getting caught in whatever personal differences the candidates have, I continue to stay focused on the message and what we can do to save New York.
And I've looked at it this way, Steve.
I think people appreciated how genuine we were.
I think also instead of getting caught in whatever personal differences the candidates have, I continue to stay focused on the message and what we can do to save New York.
And I've looked at it this way, Steve.
Whatever personal differences I have with Lee or Harry has with Rob, that's not one of the 500 most important pressing issues for New York voters.
We've got to figure out, as I said there, how we're going to make sure we curb crime, which has been massive throughout.
How we make New York a health-free state again, like you ended up discussing before the break with Bernie, in terms of actually looking at something like natural immunity and allowing the science to lead the way.
And how we let parents be the primary stakeholders in our kids' education again, and not a powerful teachers' union.
I'm ready to take on Albany on day one, and the way that Trump took on the swamp in Washington, D.C., and also in the way that Rudy Giuliani took on the swamp in City Hall.
Let's go back. | ||
They clearly didn't want your physical presence in the studio, because they realized that would have been an even bigger contrast.
They tried to stop you with this phoniness of the vaccine card.
How do you think that aspect of it played out for you, sir?
unidentified
|
Look, obviously, and I've been saying this with kids wearing masks, I mean, you could just see, 90% of communication is nonverbal.
So you miss something without being in the studio, without being a look in your opponent's eyes.
Look at the moderator right there.
But I look at it this way.
New Yorkers have gone through so many challenges over the last couple of years, whether it's bail reform, whether it's these unconstitutional health mandates, whether it's leading the country in out-migration or being the highest taxed state in the country, that if I couldn't handle a little challenge like being in a different room, And Steve, I wasn't qualified to be governor.
So I took the challenge head on and I said, you know what?
I stand with those nurses.
I stand with those firefighters, those police officers, those doctors, those teachers that have been fired, that have said, you know what?
I'm going to put my health first, even if my job is on the line.
And I think we were able to make lemonade out of lemons on this.
But more than anything, I think it's important for New Yorkers to know that I don't just say it with empty words.
I actually mean it with actions.
And I think they could see that yesterday.
Even though I was segregated in a different room, I'm still going to stand for what I believe in.
You brought up something that I want to address because it gets kind of big with inflation going on and all the crime in New York and the education.
You've got so many problems in New York.
You've got, and you were a great, you still are a great golfer, but you are a professional.
You saw where Phil Mickelson, these guys are getting blown up because of the Saudi situation, the live golf tour.
And I said, hey, Biden, the Saudis came to them.
I'm not saying agree or disagree.
The Saudis came to them.
Biden's going to go over.
Trump had his first trip to Saudi Arabia, and those guys who listen to Trump are taking down ISIS, we're going to clean this mess up in Afghanistan, and you're going to stop funding terror, right to Qatar, right to their face, okay?
Trump was saying this is what we're going to do, and you guys are falling in line.
Biden's about to go over there on bended knee.
The President of the United States is about to go to the House of Saud on bended knee.
The solution for inflation, the solution for our problems economically.
Lie below the ground in New York, Pennsylvania, parts of Ohio and West Virginia.
We are the Saudi Arabia of natural gas, yet New York won't let us touch any of it.
What will you do as governor, sir?
unidentified
|
Well, Steve, I think that's part of the brilliance of Trump.
And frankly, that's that's your brilliance, not to come on here and piss you.
You know what? | ||
But the truth is, I sat in those meetings.
I knew exactly where you stood on this.
And it was America first, because if America is actually first, then democracies around the world actually flourish because of that, because of our strength.
You don't have to look any further than the Keystone Pipeline and $2 a gallon gas and the fact that New York, that America, was energy independent under Trump.
And now we're over $5 a gallon gas in the state of New York.
It's absurd. | ||
And that's why I would look specifically at the Marcella shale in New York as a way to make New York not just energy independent, but to also make sure we're drilling for natural gas and shale.
Also look at nuclear power.
Because if we do that, then Steve, you know this better than anybody.
This is all about leverage.
Biden and what the left wants to do, they want to politically posture to the New York Times as in the Washington Post of the world.
Donald Trump didn't care about that.
What he wanted was maximum leverage over other countries so that way he could get the best deal for Americans.
That's what the America First movement is all about at its core, as you know far better than I do.
But that's what I've tried to embody, not just as a candidate, but also as somebody who truly believes deep in my heart that when America is at its strongest, the rest of the world benefits as well.
It's not just American taxpayers, it's also the rest of the world.
Andrew, how can people, I know the next couple weeks are crazy, Rudy's on the road every day, how do people follow you, social media, how do they find out more about the campaign?
unidentified
|
Go to SaveNY.org SaveNY.org and go to at Andrew H. Giuliani.
We're on all the social media platforms, including Getter, including True Social.
So we are going to be blitzing the state over the next 14 days for two weeks until our June 28th primary day.
And Steve, I got to tell you.
Especially after last night.
I didn't think it was possible to have more excitement and more energy than I did going into last night, but I'm more convinced than ever that come June 28th, we're going to be able to get out our vote and be the nominee and give Kathy Hochul, crime wave Kathy Hochul, that pink slip that she needs.
I want everybody to make sure they follow this.
We're going to be putting up the debate last night.
It was so impressive. | ||
Captain Bannon right now is working on the team.
We've been putting up clips of it all day.
Andrew Giuliani, fight on, sir.
unidentified
|
Steve, thank you for having me and say hi to the Commissioner for me.
He's the best. | ||
Will do. | ||
Andrew Giuliani, four years in the Trump White House will make your hard and tough, right?
I think we're seeing it right now.
Bernie, you and Rudy did a pretty good job.
You knew this guy when he was in his short pants.
You've done a pretty good job.
I'm pretty impressed. | ||
I'm hard to impress, but I'm impressed.
unidentified
|
Go ahead. | |
I'm sitting here watching him and I'm telling you, I don't normally make predictions.
You're looking at a presidential candidate one day.
Down the road, that's what you're going to see.
Andrew is going to take New York and be one of the best governors we've ever had.
So I'm really looking forward to it.
No, I gotta tell you, last night, what you need now is leaders.
Men and women. | ||
And you've got some great candidates.
We've got them from the Rio Grande Valley to South Carolina to Nevada.
Today's another primary day.
But you've got to have people stand up and represent.
What I really like about him is that it gives it to you straight and to the point.
You know where this guy stands.
You may not agree with all of it, But you know where he stands and that's what we need right now.
Leadership. | ||
Bernie, I got to ask you about yesterday, this fiasco.
You got Garland running.
I get Benny. | ||
Benny Thompson finally says the quiet part out loud.
These guys are all over and they're bugging.
They got Mike and he says, hey, we don't have the authority.
We're supposed to do a report.
We're supposed to do a report.
He says we don't have the authority.
So give me your sense there, Commissioner.
Well, listen, I think there was a part missing.
They don't have the authority to depose anyone, yet they've been doing it.
They didn't have the authority to subpoena me with a false subpoena, with a fabricated subpoena.
They didn't have the authority.
They don't have the authority to do a lot of things.
But people like Kevin McCarthy have allowed them to do it.
This thing should have been stopped months ago.
Months ago, it should have been stopped.
And nobody focused on them.
You know, it's really annoying as I sit back and watch this.
It's a joke and this whole thing with Bill Barr sitting around the table making these smirky remarks.
Bottom line is Bill Barr didn't do his job.
Bill Barr didn't listen to the legal team.
Bill Barr didn't have any of the evidence that we had, the things that we were looking at in the various states.
Bill Barr, not only did he didn't have it, he didn't want it.
He didn't want to see it.
Just like he told the U.S.
Attorney in Pennsylvania, don't prosecute, don't investigate, don't move forward.
You know what? | ||
That in itself was a crime.
There was criminal conduct in Pennsylvania worse than anywhere else in the election, and he didn't do a damn thing about it.
I want to make sure, because I think McSwain just ran for governor.
Bill McSwain is not a Trump guy at all.
Kind of ran almost like an establishment, never Trump, governor's race.
He was the U.S. | ||
attorney in Philadelphia.
He's on the record saying, hey, I went to Maine Justice and said, hey, you got a deputy.
I'm going to do it. | ||
I'm giving you a heads up.
I'm going to do an investigation.
This this this cheating and the thing with these mail-in ballots.
This is McSwain, who's not a Trump guy.
Wasn't about Trump. | ||
He was ordered. | ||
Ordered by Maine Justice, that would be Bill Bart to stand down.
That's all going to come up in the investigation starting in January of next year.
That's all. | ||
Bernie, as you brought it the other day, also June of 2020.
What he didn't do with BLM and Antifa when the nation burned down.
And what did he tell the Commander-in-Chief at that time?
What kind of lies do you tell?
Okay, Bernie's going to hang with us for a few more minutes.
We got Boris. | ||

Let's go back to... Do I have... Boris is up with us?
Boris, and I got Bernie.
Bernie, I only got you for a few minutes.
Let me start with Boris.
Boris, I'm going to come back to you.
Benny Thompson said the quiet part out loud.
Benny Thompson says, and he tells Brezhnev over at Punchbowl News, he says, hey, we don't have the authority.
We're supposed to do a report.
He says, I don't have authority for criminal referrals.
And man, did they melt down.
Cheney, the Vipers, Shifty Shift, Cheney, Cheney's bet her whole life on this thing, and he just said, no, we don't have the authority.
I don't have the authority.
Go ahead, sir. | ||
They melted down so bad they canceled today's hearing.
unidentified
|
Okay? | |
And listen, no conspiracies, but no coincidences in the war room.
So all of a sudden, Betty Thompson comes out and says, hey, this is kind of just like a chatting exercise.
You know, it's obviously purely political.
We have no authority whatsoever.
He almost, I think, he was this close to saying, hey, we're not even a real committee because we don't have a ranking member.
Next thing you know, a couple hours later, oh, today's hearing canceled for quote-unquote technical reasons.
Hold it. | ||
That's tomorrow's hearing is cancelled.
Tomorrow's hearing is cancelled.
Yeah, tomorrow's hearing is cancelled.
Correct. | ||
Cancelled, yes. | ||
Not today. | ||
They announced today that tomorrow's hearing is cancelled.
They announced today that tomorrow's hearing is cancelled.
There's a technical problem.
By the way, Benny Thompson, when you have those lunch meetings now in the conference room, get a food taster.
Get a food taster. | ||
Liz Cheney is out for you, brother.
So this is kind of hilarious.
Lofgren, you know, they sent out one of the members to say why.
And he goes, you know, just the staff.
They're putting together videos.
He goes, one, two, three.
The guy sounds like he's like, you know, on the sequel to Analyze That.
Oh, yeah, we just couldn't figure it out.
One, two, three. | ||
So next thing you know, we have to postpone tomorrow's hearing.
I mean, think about it. | ||
They've been planning for this for over a year.
And all of a sudden, with less than 44 hours to go, they have to postpone a hearing, and they announced that postponement within a few hours of Benny Thompson saying the quiet part out loud.
unidentified
|
I'm not sure that that's just staff being fired.
There are no coincidences.
Okay, hang on a second, because I'm going to lose Bernie.
Catherine Engelbrecht, we had the first interview with her yesterday, and she says when they do briefings they take eight hours.
They said Barr never reached out, never asked for any footage, never talked to her or Greg, never reached out to Dinesh, never did any of it.
What's your thoughts, sir?
Well, it's what I said yesterday, Steve.
Bill Barr never asked for any evidence.
All the people on the legal team, Boris, on the legal team, Giuliani, me, the other lawyers on the legal team, nobody from Bill Barr's office ever questioned us, ever asked for the evidence we were finding, never asked for any of the evidence that we were producing at the various hearings around the country, never once asked us for anything, so I'm not surprised The bar hasn't called Catherine or Dinesh or Greg, none of them.
I'm not surprised they didn't call them.
I'm not surprised DOJ didn't do it because DOJ doesn't want to know.
If they wanted to know, they would have done the investigation in Pennsylvania for a starter and then followed up in Georgia, Arizona, Michigan, Wisconsin, Nevada.
They just refused, refused to do their job.
There's a kind of a hot, before I let you go, there's kind of a hot, coming in hot on Twitter is the mayor.
What, Bernie, you read that, what is this about?
Well, evidently, Jason Miller got up before the committee at some point.
Can we put it up on the, can we put it up on, I want Denver to make sure we get this, I'll send this to you right now.
Go ahead and talk about it.
I'm going to send it to our, just breaking news from Mayor Giuliani.
Yeah, Jason. | ||
Go ahead. | ||
Jason Miller, evidently during questioning with the committee, volunteered, for what reason I have no idea, who said that Giuliani was drunk or intoxicated on the night of the election.
And I have to tell you, I saw Giuliani at Trump International before he left.
He was not drinking at all.
Anytime he was going to see the president, I could tell you, and Boris knows, He would not drink if he was going to see the president, if he was going to the White House.
Jason made this statement.
I don't know why he made this statement.
It seemed completely voluntary.
I'm really disappointed.
Giuliani answered it out in a tweet where he says, I'm disgusted and outraged at the outright lie by Jason Miller and Bill Stepien.
I was upset that they were not prepared for the massive cheating, as well as other lawyers around the president.
I refused all alcohol that evening.
My favorite drink is Diet Pepsi, and I can attest to that.
As a side joke, Steve, you were up in the suite when we had the legal team there.
Boris is there. | ||
The entire refrigerator was filled with Diet Coke and Diet Pepsi.
He lives on it. | ||
I don't know what Jason's problem was.
And I think this is what I do think.
If you recall and anybody that was there knows.
Giuliani was on a rant. | ||
He was outraged that the President's team, that the people around the President, was not prepared for the election.
They were not prepared.
They didn't have the legal teams.
They didn't have the right people in place.
Let me be blunt. | ||
Unlike in 2016 when we were on top of this, let me be brutally frank here.
I was an advocate. | ||
Go back and listen to the show.
Raheem Kassam and Bill McGinley and I were doing the transition integrity project of Mark Elias.
We were lecturing on that in July.
On September 29th, I was on John Heilman, there's a commercial, it's a 96 commercial, I walked through exactly how they're going to steal it.
Trump's going to be up and they're going to get to these mail-in ballots, these phony mail-in ballots.
I say it in September 29th, the night of the first debate.
I do a live hit, I do a live show with Showtime's The Circus.
I was lecturing on this with Raheem Kassam and Bill McGinley in July about the Transition Integrity Project, and Raheem did all that great work about it.
Hang on, I was the strongest advocate at Boris, and Bernie, remember, at 10 o'clock, before the 11 o'clock news, Trump should have walked up to the podium and declared victory.
Declared victory right there!
Declared victory right there!
So don't give me the Rudy... And by the way, I'll take Rudy drunk more than... And he has too much respect for the White House and the Office of the Presidency ever to do that.
Ever. | ||
Rudy Giuliani is a man of history.
Go ahead, Bernie. | ||
There's one thing I just want to stress.
Not only were you doing it, here's the deal.
The President's campaign team Weekly, every week, they were having these meetings, these phone call meetings, where they were telling the president.
They were telling the president, we're ready.
We got this legal team. | ||
We got this law firm. | ||
We got this. | ||
I can tell you, as a member of the legal team, they had squat.
They had nothing. | ||
They had zero. | ||
They were not prepared.
There was no preemptive plan to respond.
They didn't have anything.
I got there on the 5th of November to campaign headquarters and it was empty.
It was empty. | ||
It was a joke. | ||
Bernie, how do people get to you on social media?
How do they follow you? | ||
Because this is only going to get more contentious in the days and weeks ahead, sir.
BernardKarrick.com and BernardKarrick on Twitter, Getter, all the social media platforms.
Truth. | ||
Bernie Kerik, you're a pretty tough hombre.
Are you going to quit or relent until we get to the bottom of 3 November and particularly these phony, the certification of Biden as president?
Are you going to stop and quit and halt on that effort?
Steve, no one should. | ||
Listen, no one should. | ||
No one should. | ||
This is beyond Trump. | ||
It's exactly what you said earlier.
This is beyond Donald Trump.
This is no longer about Donald Trump.
It's no longer about Donald Trump.
And for the American people, for every American in this country, Democrat, Republican, Independent, I don't care where you're from, who you are, this is for every American.
We need to get to the bottom of it.
Bernie, thank you for taking time away to join us today.
Boris, thoughts, observations, analysis?
So I had the honor of being at the White House on election night in 2020, and I spent a lot of time with the mayor.
I mean, I can attest that he was absolutely stone-cold sober.
And I can also attest that I 1,000% agreed with him then and agree with him now that President Trump should have walked out even earlier and declared full, irrefutable victory, and then, hey, let's go have a good time.
So I'm not sure why anybody, be it Jason or Stepi or anybody, would go out and say that.
Now, I haven't seen the full footage, right?
And we haven't seen the, you know, the full quote-unquote contacts.
But we all know when you go into these depositions, that's what they're all about, right?
They're trying to catch you.
You know, they're trying to catch you in a statement, trying to catch you, you know, off guard and then use it against us.
So, you know, it's definitely heating up.
The mayor's Twitter is definitely hot.
There's no doubt about it.
And it's an unfortunate situation.
And the last thing we need, right, is this You know, is this intra, inner world, you know, stress or intramag attention.
We've got enough coming from the outside.
We don't need it from the inside.
That's for sure. | ||
But I will tell you, you know, this stuff will come and go in terms of the he said, she said.
But I will tell you firsthand, firsthand, Mayor Giuliani was absolutely on point that night.
And most importantly, he was correct on the facts that it was being stolen as we were sitting there.
And then President Trump absolutely was in his right to go out and declare victory.
Let's not forget, Ohio and Florida were called by what, 10, 10.30 p.m. It was over. It was over.
Over. | ||
Over. | ||
Up a million votes in Pennsylvania, all of it.
I went around the country and said, I told Haman, you've got to declare victory before the 11 o'clock news.
You won, now they're going to try to steal it from you over the next two weeks.
You've got to get in front of that.
You must get in front of that.
The advisors that told him to wait until 2-3 in the morning were dead wrong.
Just dead wrong. | ||
As history showed. | ||
Real quickly, Boris, I'll hold you through the break.
I got the great Roger Kimball, Ben Harnwell.
Okay, hang on. | ||
Benny Thompson, saying the quiet part out loud.
He threw a wrench in their works when he says we don't have the authority.
Shifty shift. | ||
And particularly Liz Cheney.
She's bet the whole farm, ranch, everything on this.
And now all of a sudden, Benny Thompson says, hey, we're just supposed to do a report.
We have no investigative power.
Boris Epstein. | ||
He's feeling the heat because these—yes, they got some viewers in the first hearing.
Second hearing fell off a cliff.
Now the third one tomorrow is postponed for God knows what reason.
They're feeling the heat because they're not bringing what they were expected to bring from these hearings.
And now Benny Thompson is trying to defend himself ahead of time and say, hey, let me set some expectations.
What the base and what the woke crazy radicals want, and the rhinos and Liz Cheney, ain't gonna happen.
So now you got the intra-committee squabble, which is great to see.
Short break. | ||
Roger Kimball, Boris Epstein, Ben Harnwell, Tiffany Justice, all next in The War Room.
I'm Steve Stern, CEO of FlagShirt.com, a third generation veteran owned small business.

Okay, welcome back to Warrior Moment.
We're bringing Roger Kimball, publisher and editor of New Criterion and also the publisher of Encounter Books.
He's a resident populist nationalist intellectual.
Roger, give me your assessment of these hearings.
Is this another Watergate?
Is this at the level, quality, intensity, and purpose of the Watergate hearing, sir?
unidentified
|
I would say it's more at the level of a Soviet show trial.
That is to say, the purpose of this entertainment is not to discover the truth.
It's not to assess the facts of what happened on January 6.
It is to engage in a kind of propaganda exercise that the people who put this together very carefully over many months hope will convince the American people that Donald Trump should never, ever Get close to power again.
And of course, it's not just Donald Trump.
Donald Trump is the messenger.
This is an effort to delegitimize the.
Populist movement, if you like the word populist, the I prefer it's the people.
This is the elite against the people.
This is a this is a kind of neo feudalist enterprise.
against the people of the United States.
It has nothing to do, in my judgment, with finding out the truth about January 6.
This is a, to use a phrase that has cropped up often in the commentary, a partisan witch hunt, a partisan witch hunt.
The main point of it is to destroy not only Donald Trump, But that large movement for which he was a spokesman.
As he put it himself, you know, they're really after you.
I'm just standing in the way.
Roger, Encounter and A New Criterion are known for its intellectual quality, the level you have, and the standards you have.
You called this entertainment, and you said they've been putting together for a year, and Boris said the same thing in the last segment.
Given the fact that they've had a year to do this, and given the fact that it's supposed to, at some level, entertainment, because they want to bring in a mass audience, give me your assessment of just the quality of the performative part of this.
unidentified
|
Well, it's pathetic, isn't it, Steve?
I mean, they hired a consultant whose expertise is in stage managing These sorts of performances.
Unfortunately, they neglected to do their homework and at least tell the truth about the tweets that they were reporting about video clips that they were showing.
So you have Liz Cheney, the soon to be former representative, you know, the representative soon to be of Georgetown, I guess, reading off a tweet from Donald Trump She has it behind her.
She leaves off the last little bit where he says, you know, go in peace or words to that effect.
They they clip the bit where Donald Trump is urging his followers to go and protest at the Capitol.
And he says, peacefully and patriotically.
They left off the peacefully and patriotically.
They distorted what these tweets, what these clips said.
And of course, we have 14,000 hours of video.
Why don't they make all of that public?
Why was it that the bodies of Ashley Babbitt and Roseanne Boylan, The two casualties among the protesters were not shown in these videos.
There was one shot fired that day.
It was a shot by Michael Byrd, a Capitol Hill policeman, who at point-blank range killed Ashley Babbitt.
What was she doing? | ||
She was trying to calm down the people who were around her.
No warning. | ||
He just shot her in the neck and killed her.
He was exonerated. | ||
It was really a disgusting performance.
And by the way, I'm not against congressional hearings.
I just wrote a piece that we'll lay out soon calling for a congressional hearing into June 8th.
I think we should start having a June 8th hearing.
That was the day that someone tried to assassinate Justice Kavanaugh.
Why? | ||
Because Chuck Schumer stood in the steps of the Supreme Court and informed them that they were sowing the wind and would weep the whirlwind.
And this chap, you know, took him at his word.
Why not do to Chuck Schumer what the Democrats did to Marjorie Greene?
You know, they had a kind of kangaroo court trying to prevent her from running again because they knew that she's very popular in Georgia and she would win in any free and fair election.
But they're way beyond free and fair elections.
What they are about now is the elite control of the people.
They feel that they have irrigated to themselves every resource conferring legitimacy.
If you disagree with them, you don't have a different opinion.
You're a heretic and must be destroyed.
Roger Kimball, what's your social media and how do people find out more about you and your writings?
unidentified
|
Well, I use Twitter still, and it's Roger Kimball.
I use Truth Social, same name, and I write a lot of columns.
We'll make sure that we get them all up, as we always do.
Roger Kimball, thanks for changing your schedule around today to join us.
Appreciate it. | ||
unidentified
|
Thank you, Steve. | |
Bye. | ||
Boris, real quickly, it's personal when somebody says this is like the Moscow show trials, and Roger Kimball's exactly right.
Talk about this. | ||
Explain in 30 seconds, what should that mean to the American people when somebody says this is like a Moscow show trial?
That it's corrupt, that it's staged, and that it is an effort by one political side to Extinct the other, to wipe out the other.
This is an effort by the Democrats to annihilate MAGA, to annihilate President Trump.
And it is a very scary slippery slope because in the Moscow show trials, those who were found guilty were summarily executed, many of them the same day, right in the back of the court there, which was actually just a theater.
So this is a scary time in American history and a time that we have to fight back.
Short commercial break.
Boris is going to stay around for a few more minutes to talk about the race of the day.
Ben Harnwell is going to join us about Ukraine.
Tiffany Justice about what's going on in the schools of America.
Joe Allen about is artificial intelligence actually becoming conscious.
Where are we going to do that?
In the war room. | ||
When are we going to do it? |
