Could you tell us what possibilities they're thinking about here?
What can you do to get the grain out of the ports?
And also again, Indians said that grain exports would be banned.
Is this something that would make the crisis even worse?
Well, the second part of your question, it makes it very clear how serious this crisis is.
And that's why I tried to make it clear in my statement.
It's a question here of preventing famine.
We want to prevent that from occurring, not just in a couple of months, but we can see the effects of this already today.
Because even without this war, there are major problems in providing food to all people.
There are a lot of people who have to consider famine being present today.
That's why we need to work together.
And of course, the simplest thing would be for Russia to stop its aggressive activity.
Then we can see to it that grain is exported and food prices worldwide would at least return to normal to a certain extent.
But as I said, we have to keep this in mind.
This doesn't seem that we can rely on this, and the Russian president has not given us any hope here.
That's why 25 million tons of grain are now stuck in Ukrainian ports.
This is grain that the world urgently needs, and it will be very important for us to export this, because not only this harvest would be lost, but the next one as well, because it cannot be brought to the silos.
That's why we said Let's be as specifically as possible.
We want to discuss this and we discussed the alternatives that we have and Maybe five to six million tons of grain could be delivered per month, but this will only be allowed possible by sea transport.
We also have to consider the possibility by trains, but of course we have to know and realize that we can only get a smaller amount from Ukraine in this way.
But every ton that is delivered can help a bit in order to try to get a handle on this But there are other nations that are taking different paths forward.

Hungary, led by a newly re-elected right-wing populist, is very publicly holding up an EU embargo on Russian oil.
While India, a US and Western ally and the world's largest democracy, though one that is quickly being led down a road of religious nationalism, is taking a self-centered approach, using the war to its advantage and literally paying its price.
India gets most of its arms and equipment from Russia and since the war has significantly increased its purchases of now heavily discounted Russian oil.
The new policy has been perfectly summed up by India's finance minister who recently stated, quote, I would put my energy security first.
If the fuel is available at a discount, why shouldn't I buy it?
India's overall interest is what is kept in mind.
Well, it could be that India, a nuclear-armed country, is taking notice of another major geopolitical consequence of the war in Ukraine.
The perception that if you have nuclear arms, the rules don't apply to you the same way.
Joining me now, Bobby, let's talk about India.
Whatever China does, the U.S.
has limited ability to apply pressure, as we've seen through the Trump administration.
India's a little bit different.
India is a U.S.
ally, a strong U.S.
ally.
It's a democracy.
It's the world's biggest democracy.
It's also very energy-hungry and going down some populist roads itself.
It finds itself on a fence here.
unidentified
Yeah, most of the things you said about India are true, Ali, but they were also true during the Cold War.
India was a democracy then, was the world's largest democracy, and yet India managed to stay what India would regard as neutral, but what Western countries would regard as a slight tilt to the Soviet Union.
And I think what we're seeing is India trying to return to that position and not just India.
A lot of countries that were members of what is called the non-aligned movement, talk about ghosts of Cold War's past, are trying essentially to return to those positions.
But India is trying in a sense to have its cake and eat it too.
It wants to be completely neutral, but it also wants to be part of the American embrace.
It wants access to American technology, to American markets.
It wants America's assistance in securing itself from the threat of China.
So far, it has paid absolutely no price for taking this position.
It is getting cheap gas and cheap oil from the Russians.
And the Americans are sort of shaking their heads with disfavor.
But they're not punishing India.
So from India's position, why not?
Why not go with this position?
There are moral questions.
India used to think of itself as representing some sort of a A moral position in the world.
We remember Nehru.
We remember Gandhi.
That India no longer exists.
Certainly not under Narendra Modi.
This is a much more transactional, oriented, much more transactional attitude towards the world and towards crises around the world.
Indeed it was.
Mike Memoli, thanks.
Now we're going to turn to our other White House correspondent, our chief White House correspondent, Peter Alexander, who was in the Rose Garden, joins us now.
Peter, you asked the President about this baby formula crisis.
What did he tell you?
Well obviously Americans, parents across the country right now are dealing with this crisis.
The lack of available formula in the country.
You're hearing stories anecdotally of parents driving across their communities, across their state, to try to find formula without success.
So the White House on defense about this issue, and I asked the President about it specifically, And among other things he detailed one thing.
He detailed a new website that's been set up in an effort to try to better communicate information to parents and other individuals.
HHS.gov slash formula I think was the site where you can get more information about where you can access formula at this time.
the president also making the case that it's important that those parents speak to their pediatricians before they trade one formula for another, given, as he described it, the potential negative effects of doing that without following the guidance of your pediatrician.
But beyond that, and as we have heard from the White House broadly, there is a push from this administration, the president speaking to manufacturers and retailers just yesterday.
He name-checked Walmart, I think, in his remarks earlier to see what they can do to expedite the production process.
There have been questions about whether he would pursue what's called the DPA, the Defense Production Act, which might allow for an acceleration of the production of baby formula at this point.
To this point, the president and this White House has not said whether that's something that it will do, whether it's something it will do.
In effect, it could happen as quickly as it needs, but certainly that it's something under consideration.
I think beyond that, we did hear one other detail.
It was about the FDA.
I want to make sure I get all of it right, but the administration says it's been working with the FDA over the course of the last several months to determine the next steps at this time, all of which follows the challenges that existed in one of the major producers of formula in this country.
Abbott's at their Sturgis plant where it was determined that there was a problem with the formula and as a result It's really impacted the supply chain. They are produced here in the United States Garrett Peter I had Rosa DeLauro on the show earlier the chairwoman of the Appropriations Committee And she suggested that this was the kind of thing that they were Administration or the FDA was becoming aware of as early as last fall Do you get the sense that the administration was caught by surprise at how quickly this went from kind of small grade?
problem to national crisis issue?
The administration has said that this was on its plate from the start.
The president sort of brushed aside a question to that effect, saying, you know, we could have moved quicker if we were mind readers, but as soon as we had information about it, we did move on that.
Jen Psaki, the press secretary, who we should note is now in her final day here at the White House, was Asked a question to this effect earlier this week I think just yesterday and she said when the administration became aware of it in the last couple of months that they did begin initiate the process of trying to find new details that they reached out to the FTC for their help pursuing this as an independent organization
As well, they claim that they've moved as quickly as they can, but I think there are going to be a lot of questions whether enough was done, and whether enough was done soon enough so this didn't just show up not just on the front pages of American newspapers, but really on the kitchen table for so many families out of nowhere as an issue the administration appears to have been at least a little bit flat-footed by, certainly.
Yeah, well we've got now at least three congressional committees who are going to be asking those questions.
Our Chief White House Correspondent Peter Alexander in the Rose Garden.
Peeler, thank you.
steve bannon
Okay, massive news.
It's Saturday, 14 May, Year of Our Lord 2022.
As we come on air, President Donald J. Trump, the 45th President of the United States, has endorsed, endorsed Doug Mastriano in the governor's race in Pennsylvania.
Doug is hurtling around.
I think he's in Philadelphia right now for a rally.
We're going to try to get Doug by phone sometime during the next couple hours.
Right now we tentatively have Kathy Barnett at 11 o'clock and there'll be Others from Georgia and hopefully North Carolina and Pennsylvania.
But what you're seeing, the underpinning, that's the politics of, you know, you got to get through Tuesday and everybody's got to turn in as important.
But the signal underneath this is you're seeing a, this is a collapse of a complex system.
Okay?
They talk about, you know, they yammer on about the international rules-based order.
They never talk about this sense of trust that you have to have or self-organizing.
Between countries and businesses and people and all that and this has been shattered.
It's been shattered by their direct policies Okay, you're seeing let me repeat this The the baby formula the diesel gas the the the India just declared the just declared they're not going to ship any wheat at India Okay, Sri Lanka right now is absolutely burning to the ground because of food shortages.
India has just announced they're not going to ship any food outside of India.
Okay, back in the 1930s.
This was called beggar thy neighbor.
This is not about protectionism.
This is about people when they saw the complex system that kind of collapsed.
With the beginning of World War One on this the Empire system that they had built up to through the world when that didn't get resolved by fighting and it certainly didn't get resolved by the peace treaty and as Keynes called it the economic consequences of that peace.
You started to have a collapse of that complex system.
Okay, you had the Great Depression and then you had the beggar thy neighbor you're seeing it here and we're going to go into it to detail.
We got Darren Beatty is going to try to come over.
We're going to do all the politics you get all that but you have to understand the The intellectual construct of what's happening, so you can connect.
Because here's what they hope happens.
They hope stuff comes to you so quickly that you kind of lose it.
You're not going to lose it here.
We're on the bridge and we're going to take a deep breath, right?
You're the tip of the spear of what's saving this country.
And in order to do that, we've got to understand it's all this madness, but in the fog of war, we're going to look through this, understand exactly what's going to go on, not panic whatsoever, and make sure that we enforce policies.
Right, because we have the vast majority of the votes and people are coming our way every second of every day as they see what the alternative is of this illegitimate regime.
Did I ever say, did you ever hear that elections have consequences and stolen elections have catastrophic consequences?
In all of this, ladies and gentlemen, all this madness with no food for the babies in the United States, now you're going to see this whole issue of food shortages because India's not letting any of their wheat leave India.
This whole chaos caused by the EU, NATO, and the Russian oligarchs in this border dispute in eastern Ukraine.
You see, in all of that, everything going on, Your representatives, and I say yours, the people you work for, the people you knocked on doors for, the people you sent money to, called Republicans.
Mitch McConnell, with everything going on, the southern border invasion, southern border, millions of people coming across, had to report the other day, 100,000 in a camp outside of Houston, and just increasing every day.
Mitch McConnell is headed to El Paso, Texas.
He's headed to El Paso, Texas and he's going... Oh, excuse me.
Excuse me.
I read that report incorrectly.
He's not going to El Paso, Texas.
He's not going to the Rio Grande.
He's not going to the border.
Where he's going is to the border of the Russian-speaking eastern Ukraine.
He is leading a delegation of five of these hapless Republicans and each one of them Particularly that guy in Wyoming, irks me no end.
They all have to be turfed out.
He's leading a delegation right now to Kiev to sit with Zelensky, where the world is on fire.
There's no formula.
We have no diesel gasoline.
It's only going to build.
And there's no solutions.
Think about it for a second.
The Biden administration, they tell us all day long with the great CIA and DNI and all this trillion dollars of intelligence we've got and these national security apparatus, they told us they knew this thing was forming in kind of September, October, November.
They've been starting to track it.
Did they think about the fuel situation?
Did they think about the food situation?
Did they think about the wheat situation?
Why's it all come as a surprise?
Oh, Biden's quote, I'm not supposed to be a mind reader.
Well, yeah, actually, you are.
No, actually, that's kind of the job description.
That's what the Commander-in-Chief, you're not supposed to be caught by surprise.
In fact, we pay a trillion dollars a year for national security, so we have some minorities.
Not reading the minds and the emails and the text messages of the American people and calling the moms are going to school boards, domestic terrorists.
You're supposed to be focused on this.
Well, hey, look, guess what?
If we allow and get into, and because we're weak, a shooting war in Ukraine, gosh, there will be a food problem, will be a fuel problem.
What's happening here?
They're totally by surprise.
You're seeing before you, more than even the collapse of a nation, as bad as that is, it's the collapse of the system, the complex system, underpins the nation.
Chaos and anarchy are all before you, trust me.
Unless, MAGA and ULTRAMAGA take the steering wheel.
And that's about to happen, ladies and gentlemen.
All next in The War Room.
unidentified
We will fight till they're all gone. We rejoice when there's no more. Let's take down the CCP.
...stepped sooner before parents got to these shelves and couldn't find formula?
joe biden
If we'd been better mind readers, I guess we could have.
But we moved as quickly as the problem became apparent to us.
And we have to move with caution as well as speech.
unidentified
Or it may be that you shop.
And you are seeing bare shelves, and you are seeing signs that you are not able to get baby formula.
And then you see the American government sending, by the pallet, thousands and thousands of containers of baby formula to the border.
That would make my blood boil.
And I am, I am so angry about this.
And I think every American should.
steve bannon
I tell you, the lead of this revolution is going to be the moms, okay?
You think that CRT and SEL and the whole gender identity and what the kids are not learning, the schools and collapse on math and reading and all that, you add this on top of it?
I'm telling you, they're the tip of the tip of the spear.
It's one of the reasons you got Kathy Barnett surging.
Right?
And they don't care about what she said about Muslims seven years ago.
Don't care about what she said about gays seven years ago.
Just don't.
I don't want to be so blunt about that.
Right?
I don't think they care about building a, if she said it or not, I have no idea, the monument to Obama.
We're in a crisis.
You need leaders to get you through the crisis.
If you think she's the leader, do it.
Tap her.
If you think Oz is the one to do it, tap him.
If you think McCormick's the one to do it, tap them.
But who's going to do it?
Who's going to vote against any person running for the United States Senate?
And let me say this about President Trump.
Any of these endorsements, they do not come to you and say, I will not vote for McConnell.
You should not endorse.
It's a mistake.
That's why you ought to yank that endorsement from that guy in Arkansas and from the guy in Idaho, Crapo.
We have a system in collapse.
It's not Steve Bannon saying this.
It's all around you.
Just look at the evidence.
Look at the evidence.
You have a system in collapse.
Okay?
Look at the 20th century.
What happened in the 20th century when systems collapsed?
Just look at it.
You tell me what happened.
You tell me what happened.
And here's who the system collapses around.
It collapses around the working class, but it also collapses around those people who played by the rules, those people who did their duty in civic society.
It collapses around them.
And that's when you hit an inflection point and things change.
Okay?
We're seeing it now.
We're here to connect.
That's where we're getting a lot of politics into today.
And hopefully, I think we got Doug is... Mestriano, he just got endorsed by President Trump.
He is hurtling around the state.
I think he's in Philadelphia now to rally or somewhere.
We're going to try to get Doug by phone for a couple minutes.
Kathy, I think we're actually going to get by Skype for a couple minutes or maybe by phone.
It's hectic in North Carolina, in Georgia, all of it.
Intense but the underpinnings of this are important on this Saturday for you to understand so you can sit there and put this into your intellectual Framework, so I want to go to and and just I want to do this right before we start I'm gonna give you the number for the United States Senate 202 and Captain Bannon and everybody that monitors the telegram and in the in the In the rumble and
Real America's Voice, Getter, all of our different platforms and the forums that you guys are self-organizing, because that's what a complex system is, a self-organizing system, right?
If you take this number down, 202-224-3121.
That's 202-224-3121.
And this is the main switchboard for the United States Senate.
And you must tell these senators that you will never vote for them.
You will do anything in your power to defeat them.
If they vote for this 40 billion dollar giveaway to Russian oligarchs.
The Europeans are not putting a penny in.
The oligarchs are still the wealthiest, some of the wealthiest guys on earth.
And you have a delegation of Republican senators going over today to kiss Zelensky's ass.
Okay, let's be blunt.
Why?
unidentified
American babies have no formula.
steve bannon
Think about that.
And I want you to think of what the revolutionary generation would think of us.
Think of what they would think of us.
A providential country.
The New Jerusalem.
Everything we've gone through.
Think of who fought World War I in Vietnam, and Vietnam is still many alive, the greatest generation of World War II.
There's no formula, the babies can't be fed, there's no gasoline, so the truck drivers can't operate.
Americans are making major changes in their lifestyles even as we speak.
There's an article up, I think in the LA Times, I'm going to get it from my getter after the show, that people are making decisions about what meal to skip.
In the United States of America, they're making a decision.
I think I've got to skip a meal today because I've got to pay for gas.
I want you to embrace this.
And we're going to put up on Getter and this show and we're going to put up experts and I want you to get more information.
I just want you to pound into the... immerse yourself.
Into the collapse.
And particularly, all of you have read, which I always recommend, Decline and Fall of the Roman Empire.
Right?
Decline and Fall of the Roman Empire.
The beginning of it, about the fall of the Roman Republic, that triggered the empire.
When a complex system collapses, Who pays?
Who pays for that?
Who's at the brunt of that collapse?
The very people that kept their head down and worked day in and day out and did what they were supposed to do.
That's what happens.
And that's where the anger comes from.
They say, oh, Bannon's angry all the time.
No, no, no.
I'm just looking at the facts.
Any reasonable person, if you're not angry, you're not sentient right now.
You're not rational right now.
You're not thinking with the rational part of your brain.
Leave the emotions aside.
The anger will build, and it'll build from a different place than just the emotions.
It'll build from your intellect.
They'll sit there and go, this cannot continue.
And this is why Mastroianna got the endorsement.
You know, he's been on this 3 November thing from day one.
He's the first guy to do it in Gettysburg.
This is what the President says.
We can't go forward.
We're going to get all the other problems solved.
We'll get them solved.
But you can't go forward until you understand what they did.
What they did in stealing this.
And think about it.
Think about the CRT.
Think about the SEO.
Think about the wokeness.
Think about all the people kicked out of companies.
Think about what they wanted this country to be.
Think about it.
And this is the result of these geniuses.
This is their result.
It's all them.
It's 1,000% them.
They blame Putin and everything like that, but even the fiasco over there, they're just as bad as the Russians, and the Russian oligarchs, and the KGB guys, and the military around Putin, some of the worst guys in the world, only topped by the CCP, right?
This is all brought on.
This was an unforced error for our nation because it was stolen, right?
And look at these people that were, look at what they were going to do.
They were going to shut you down.
They had the billboards in Georgia, turn somebody in after January 6th.
You're a domestic terrorist.
They set the system up to monitor the moms and dads at the school boards and then lied about it.
You got, Jordan got the letter.
The first thing they sent out in Arizona, the woman who testified in the first Trump impeachment is the assistant attorney general.
She sent out to the canvas because Peter Navassa, it's always the canvas, not the count where they make it up.
And they said, under criminal penalty, if you go canvas and find out that there's not 50 people in this residence, you're the one problem.
Think of what they wanted the nation to be.
We beat that back, and we're beating it back now.
This overwhelming turnout in the vote, and what's happening with Hispanic Americans in the Rio Grande Valley, and African Americans throughout the country.
They've had a belly full of it.
Look at the nation they are presenting you and he's sitting there.
Well, I guess we're supposed to be mind readers.
Yes, just that that's Being a mind reader means being what I say Wellington said looking over the other side of the hill What did Wellington train his young officers to do what's on the other side of the hill tell me right now?
We're in the writing of the column.
Tell me what's on the other side of the hill.
You have to be able to think One of the things I pride ourselves in in this show Why we get so many things right?
You have to look on the other side of the hill.
That's what you're paid for.
We're supposed to be mind readers?
Yes, you're supposed to be a mind reader.
Now the children of America, the babies, first of all you're trying to kill them in the womb, then you're trying to starve them.
Think about a young mother, the moment you're a young mother, with all the pressure on you, particularly in an economy where they've sent all the jobs away and your husband can barely make rent.
The pressure you're under.
To bring a citizen into this country.
Think of the pressure.
And now you've got to think, then I've got to get back to work.
And what am I doing?
I've got to spend 12 hours a day.
Go on TV and watch these women.
I've got to spend 6 hours a day or 8 hours a day to find out where formula is.
And they're sitting there having a meeting.
Yeah, we're going to have the Abbott guy.
And the Abbott guy says, no!
Figure it out today.
This should be a 24-7.
You shouldn't be going to Delaware and you shouldn't be going to other meetings.
Get on top of this.
Where is the diesel?
Action, action, action!
That's what you're paid for!
You want all the glory and the pomp and the ceremony of being the Commander-in-Chief?
You want all the pomp and ceremony of working in the White House?
And coming in with that smirk?
Jen Psaki with that smirk every day?
Where's your late night comedians?
Where's all Hollywood?
Come on!
Let me hear it!
Where are you?
Look at the nation as it is today!
Look at the world as it is today!
Look at Sri Lanka!
You don't think Sri Lanka's coming to Sub-Saharan Africa?
You don't think it's going to come to Latin America?
It's coming!
And what are they criticizing?
Look at the Ari Velshi.
They're all puffed up on MSNBC and Modi.
He's really being conceited.
He's supposed to think of his nation first.
You don't think Gandhi thought of his nation first?
Well, you don't understand the history of Gandhi or Nehru, okay?
They definitely put India first, and Modi's doing it, and trying to save a massive famine there, and God bless him if he does it.
Now, it's gonna have massive implications for the world, but that's the world created by Davos.
That's the world created by Washington, D.C.
And of course, in all this chaos, is Mitch McConnell going out to a factory, a baby formula factory, or is he going to the southern border and looking at the camps?
No!
He wants to go for a photo op for the $40 billion where it's not coming and anybody that votes for it's gonna be turfed out.
And if you vote for him, you're the problem.
If you give money to him, you're the problem.
It's so evident now and so clear.
These are not greys.
These are not shades of grey.
There's no nuance here.
This is quite Manichaean.
Okay?
unidentified
There's good and there's evil.
steve bannon
And you've got to decide which side you're going to be on.
You can't have a foot in both camps.
unidentified
Okay.
steve bannon
We're a little behind with some of the guests, but we're going to get to all of it.
Short commercial break.
We're going to return in The War Room in just a moment.

Okay, let's go to Ben Harnwell.
Ben, this thing in India is big.
It's going to affect markets on Monday.
This is a very big deal.
Tell us what happened and why it happened.
ben harnwell
Yes, Steve, good morning.
Well, if you want to know why your bread is going to rocket and your pasta is going to be unaffordable and you're going to see food prices escalating like we've already been seeing with fuel prices, why there's going to be chaos on the international wheat markets when they open on Monday, it's because of this, what the FT is calling a bombshell development, which you've just been talking about.
And that is the fact that India has now banned with immediate effect wheat exports.
Apart from those existing contracts which need to be honoured.
And why did they do this?
It's because they said the Indian government, in order to manage the overall food security of the country and to support the needs of the neighbouring and other vulnerable countries.
And that was their explanation.
Now, it is interesting looking at this because all of the main financial newspapers are talking about this, presumably because it's going to start a chain reaction of other countries acting in the same way.
However, Steve, however, India isn't a great exporter of wheat.
It actually exports less than 1% of global wheat exports.
Who is the biggest wheat exporter in the world?
It's Russia.
Now, Russia, under ordinary circumstances, would be exporting 20% of the global wheat exports, But of course, those have been blocked.
And the reason they've been blocked, and we just saw it in the video footage, is because our globalist leaders have a pathological need to present themselves as showing decisive action.
And they confuse that for leadership and real leadership.
You will see when countries put the interests of their own citizens first, like what Prime Minister Modi is doing in India.
Now, just quickly, having said that, the consequences of getting this wrong, we will see in Sri Lanka.
I don't know if Denver's able to play the footage that they have.
They're excellent.
Brilliant.
Well done, Denver.
So what we're looking at now, I think, if I'm not mistaken, this is the family mansion of Mahinda Rajapaksa, who was a war hero.
Mahinda Rajapaksa is the leader of Sri Lanka that did what everyone said was impossible and couldn't be done.
He faced down the Tamil Tigers and defeated that, in inverted commas, civil war, a war hero.
He had unbelievable popularity.
And this now, sort of 10 years on, this is this is now his current state.
Right.
He's he's resigned as prime minister.
He's been replaced by Ranil Vikramasinghe.
His brother is still notionally the president.
And why?
What happened in Sri Lanka?
There's no food.
There's no fuel.
had these incredibly punitive...
Bye.
Fuel curfews where they've only been allowed to turn on the electricity for about 10 hours a day.
Inflation is going through the roof.
Plus, Steve, this is something that you're going to be very familiar with.
The Sri Lankan economy is in free fall.
Why?
Because they've been borrowing so much money from which country to develop its infrastructure?
That's right.
China.
So here we see the CCP is yet again at the root of global evils and catastrophic state failure.
Like we're currently seeing on this video, seen right now.
steve bannon
Ben, just hang with us for a second.
I want to bring Dave Walsh.
Dave Walsh is an energy expert, former senior leader of many energy companies and now senior consultant.
He's been on for the last month or two talking to us about the fuel situation, energy situation in the natural, you know, the gas situation in Russia and in Europe.
But he was on yesterday and said something that said, look, on the diesel, there's not a lot of good choices.
One of them, we may have to stop exporting, particularly into Central and Latin America, diesel fuel.
And I said at the time, I said, that's just going to spread the misery.
That concept is called beggar thy neighbor.
But that has to happen when things happen.
That's what ties together India with your with your diesel shortage here.
But it's even deeper than that.
Dave, this has been a long time coming, but you're seeing and you're a complex systems guy.
This is what it is when you had to run was, I think, Mitsubishi Power.
Am I wrong?
Are we not seeing the collapse of a complex system?
dave walsh
Yeah, absolutely.
Energy is at the core.
Electricity, fuel, diesel fuel of a civilized, organized, Highly developed society.
Here's on food, head of lettuce.
We have a lot of growing in Florida, have a lot of close associates in major growers.
Here's what I'm being told.
Generally speaking, the cost of the cold chain, keeping something like that cold before it gets to the store, and getting it there is about 20-25% of the cost profile.
Recently, for refrigerated items like the one I just held up, lettuce, etc., they're now seeing costs of delivery and the cold chain, the refrigerated storage, exceeding their cost of production.
These costs have doubled in the last 60 days, over the last year now, advancing to more than the cost of producing the item itself, the cold chain maintenance and the transportation to get that item to the store.
And that's, by the way, inside of India's issues with wheat, cited by Modi's government appropriately, the cost of transportation and logistics, a huge issue now with diesel fuel costs and other costs of transport.
Leading to the appropriate decision he's taken for the people of India.
Purpose, goal, and objective of a sovereign government is to take care of the people in that nation.
That's been the history of the world.
So here we're explaining Life 101 things we never thought we'd need to be re-explaining.
The criticality of things like diesel fuel, what a government does for its people.
India, to Ben's point, is not a major exporter of wheat.
It's not in the top 20 in the world in major exports.
Russia is indeed number one with about a quarter of the exportation of wheat in the world.
India is not on the list because of India's self need to feed its 1.2 billion people.
Of course, consuming virtually 99% of its production of wheat.
steve bannon
How does, walk me through the diesel situation.
By the way, what it's showing is that they're locking down.
They're going to lock down hard, and now that we've stopped Russian wheat, where is it going to come from?
This is going to spread like wildfire.
You're going to see turbulence in the markets on Monday you have not seen in a while, because now it's the underlying commodities.
It's not stocks, it's not financial instruments.
It's what underpins the value to the financial instruments.
The real economy, commodities, production, things like that.
What Dave just said about the coal chain is kind of the thing itself, right?
This is where you get down to what is actually driving this.
The diesel situation again, I want you to just real briefly go about capacity and do you see any way that we can't just have a brutal summer?
And how important diesel is?
Diesel is the back, all the generators in the country, the backup generators for everything are run on diesel.
dave walsh
Well, we listed yesterday a few of the critical needs for diesel fuel.
Here are a few more that, you know, again, re-explaining what you would never expect you'd have to explain.
The criticality of diesel fuel.
For example, all of our public transportation in cities and states by bus, which is most public transportation, diesel-powered.
The Blackstart capability for generating utilities and the distributed grid in the country is backed up in part by Blackstart units that are diesel-powered, and there's more than that.
For example, the Fukushima plant, the nuclear reactors, most of them in the world, the backup for the electricity that manages the fuel coming in and out of the nuclear reaction in the water in a reactor containment, are driven by diesel fuel-powered generators.
Diesel fuel is Endemic to the country.
We've got a shortage of supply now.
Typically, again, what we had talked about...
We generally have a 50 million barrel supply in the inventory of diesel fuel in the country, backing up the system.
Generally 15, 18 day supply.
A couple of days ago, we got down to 10 day supply.
As of two days ago, down to three day supply of diesel fuel in the system, backing up in the pipeline, backing up daily needs.
An all time low.
And we're now also at a low production level for the last six years in the country.
So there's some easy fixes on more importation from Canada of feedstock to make more of it, and then reopening facilities and moving facilities, but incentivizing, actually, facilities in a direction of, we need more diesel fuel.
It's essential.
It's an essential fuel.
The entire intermodal transportation system, heavy rail, is diesel-powered.
Locomotives are diesel-powered.
They transport wheat, etc.
steve bannon
Do you see the Biden administration, besides his love for the Amtrak, the Acela corridor, do you see that?
And remember, we just spent $1.9 trillion in the infrastructure bill.
How's that working out for your fans?
It's really working for the country.
Real quickly, Dave, do you do you see the Biden administration, given the fact that they're kind of Locked up by this crazy green, you know, let's build a windmill and supply the nation, which is not practical.
You've seen that in Germany.
The reason they're funding the Russian military is the Greens have taken off all their other energy capacity and they're slaves to Russian natural gas.
Does anybody understand that?
In this country, given Biden's fecklessness of moving, do you see this administration making any kind of bold moves in the short term?
dave walsh
Rhetoric aside, one always looks at actions.
What's happened in the last two days?
More production restrictions imposed in Alaska and major fields for permits being removed for production in Alaska.
In the Gulf of Mexico, same thing.
Major permits not being advanced, not being approved, and being stopped for oil and gas production in the Gulf of Mexico as of Thursday of this week.
So, one can only look at actions and would suggest that the green side of our government still predominates with the entire energy strategy, we don't have one, is only an environmental strategy.
Energy strategy is at the core of a civilized society.
Admiral Rickover.
Dave, how do people get to you and follow you during the day, particularly in the weekend between now and Monday when we come back on?
the essential nature of energy supply to a nation defending itself and being industrially competitive. We were all about that 50 years ago. We're now all about the environment. Dave, how do people get to you and follow you during the day, particularly the weekend between now and Monday when we come back on? Where do people get your analysis and insights? Well, Steve, I'm on Getter at Dave Walsh Energy.
At Dave Walsh Energy.
steve bannon
Dave, thank you very much for joining us.
Thanks, Steve.
Might want to throw it there.
The only major documentary film ever made by Admiral Rickover was produced by, wait for it, Stephen K. Bannon.
Admiral Rickover, one of the great unsung heroes of the 20th century.
Let's go.
We've got D.C.
Drainer.
Bannon, you hang with me.
D.C.
Drainer, we've got a minute.
I'm going to hold you through.
For a young generation rising D.C., tell me what you make of this fiasco that our country's turned into, sir.
rogan dc draino ohandley
I wrote yesterday on Truth, I was actually surprised at how much of a train wreck this country is turning into.
I didn't realize it was possible to take the country down this imploding path so quickly.
It feels like we are under attack from within, and I say that with no exaggeration whatsoever.
The foxes are in the henhouse, they took power illegitimately, and they're trying to crash and burn this country.
Before we can even get to the midterms, never mind 2024.
That's just what it feels like.
steve bannon
D.C., hang on.
D.C.
Drano, one of the most prominent voices in this, of influences in this rising generation.
And here's the interesting thing.
I've had these people running in politics from their early 30s to mid 40s.
They're disgusted.
This is a generational thing now.
It just is.
Short commercial break.
unidentified
break. We'll return in the war room in just a moment.
That monitors us, censors us, deplatforms us.
Conservatives have been helpless to do anything about it, until now.

By the way, make sure you go to MyPillow.com, promo code War Room.
You get to buy one, get one free sale.
Also, the coffee, go to... I was actually answering somebody from our engine room.
Warpath.coffee.
You've got to get the Dark Roast, which is Mariner's Blend, or we've got a Breakfast Blend.
For those who like a little lighter, but it's got a kick to it called black powder.
Okay, put in promo code where we get 10% off.
So that's the two gun approach.
We got the great sleep and you got the and you got to get jacked up with the fabulous coffee.
Okay, want to go back to DC Drano DC.
You've had a DeSantis taking on corporations down there putting people on a report, but it seems like Things are absolutely spinning out of control more and more and more, particularly the baby formula.
We had Congressman Kat Cammack on the other day who kind of brought it to everybody's attention, what's happening at the border.
You've got formula down there.
So what's your assessment?
You're one of the most important influencers in this new generation.
What is your sense of things?
rogan dc draino ohandley
Well, my sense of things is that the Florida style of MAGA politics is what's Taking over this country right now.
You know, look at the two leading contenders for president in 2024 and beyond.
It's Trump and DeSantis.
They're Florida men.
We got Matt Gaetz.
We got a lot of heavy hitters down here.
And, you know, when DeSantis took on Disney, I, you know, posted on Truth about how you haven't heard a peep from Disney about the anti-grooming laws since then.
And you haven't heard a peep from a lot of businesses on any laws across this country because they saw what happened.
And, you know, the American people, we can only take so much.
They left controls every major institution, Hollywood, even pro sports academia.
The last thing we have is the power of our vote and elected leaders, especially at the state level, which we're obviously still fixing the election integrity stuff.
I can't believe that Kemp is even in the running in Georgia right now for what he did to us.
But you know, and so we're going to start flexing power.
If you as a corporation are going to step into the MMA ring of politics, and you're going to start to throw punches, expect to get hit back.
And I Encourage governors across this country to actually hit back, okay?
We're not just buddy-buddy with the corporations anymore.
We're not going to be Asa Hutchinson, you know, bending the knee saying, whoa, whoa, whoa, you come into the political arena and you want to attack what the American people voted for, expect to get hit back.
DeSantis did it.
He showed how quickly you can take down megacorporations and silence them.
And I think that sent a message across the country.
steve bannon
DC Drano, how do people follow you?
I know you're big on Instagram, but what are all your connection points and coordinates?
rogan dc draino ohandley
DC Drano on everything except Twitter.
I got banned, but we're in the 9th Circuit right now.
Filing a lawsuit.
I'm represented by Harmeet Dhillon.
And if people remember, you know, we caught the California government sending emails to Twitter asking them to censor me.
We've got the emails.
We got dismissed by Breyer's brother, but we're in the Ninth Circuit.
We already filed our brief.
Defendant briefs are coming up.
So I'm hoping that we can get a hearing this year and, you know, fingers crossed, we may be able to get into the Supreme Court within the next year, hopefully by next spring.
steve bannon
DC, thank you very much for taking time.
I'm sorry to join us.
rogan dc draino ohandley
Thank you.
steve bannon
I can't wait to bring in Darren Beatty.
We've got Darren for a few minutes.
He's going to hang with us.
And we've got, hopefully, Kathy Barnett.
Like I said, a lot of these politicians are on all over the map today, which they should be.
Darren, correct me if I'm wrong, didn't I put out a thing on disclosure?
I think I sent to you that the bots, there's a report out that said the bots are at least 10% to 15% of Twitter's total active users, right?
Some independent group.
And obviously, Musk knew that.
Let's talk about the Twitter deal.
Before I'm gonna bring you back on the most important issues about the collapse of the complex system in our corrupt establishment voting to send $40 billion.
Darren Beatty had an amazing piece.
It's the reason we got an amazing piece about this entire topic, right?
And what the $40 billion and who's supporting it, the military industrial complex.
My sources tell me Mitch McConnell's staff reddit got to Mitch and Mitch said book me on a red-eye I want to show Darren Beatty and Steve Bannon what I think of their what I think of their thoughts their great thoughts on this topic He flew to Kiev with a with a delegation of Republicans to push this 40 billion We're gonna get to all that but tell me about Twitter first, sir Well, it looks like there's a little bump in the road a little delay and the delay might turn out to be an Elon's favor He might end up getting a cheaper price
darren j beattie
Who knows?
We'll just have to kind of wait and see.
Although Elon has stated affirmatively and explicitly that he has every intention of going through with the deal.
So we'll just have to see how it develops.
steve bannon
Does this show you that what I've been saying is that his bid was too high, but let's leave that aside.
It shows you that it's not really, it's a group of scumbags.
They will lie and misrepresent and try to shut down the Commander-in-Chief and try to take conservative voices off there and not want to talk about the Wuhan lab and not talk about the hard drive or the laptop from hell and not want to talk about anything.
They want to suppress speech.
They want to be a town square that only drives their narratives.
And you've seen what Twitter... Twitter's to blame for this.
You see where the world is today?
Twitter's responsible just like they all are.
Darren Beattie.
darren j beattie
Absolutely.
Look, Twitter is the global public square, but it's also ground zero for coordinated influence operations conducted principally by our intelligence services, allied services, government cutouts, NGOs, the whole bit.
And so there's a lot at stake here and transparency of the sort that Elon has called for and which customers deserve, but conflict with the ulterior uses to which various organizations have put Twitter.
So again, we'll have to just see how it develops.
steve bannon
Okay, we're gonna take a short commercial break.
This is 90 seconds.
I think we got Kathy Barnett.
We're going to go more into Pennsylvania, try to get some Georgia, got a little North Carolina.
The country's on fire today.
The rise of MAGA and ULTRAMAGA.
Okay, it's got the Republican establishment shaking in their boots and the media is pulling their hair out as MAGA candidates go across this great nation today in these key states and these key primaries and make sure that people understand that they're mad as hell and they're not going to take it anymore.
All next in The War Room.
