People like Putin, and Steve Bannon for that matter, understand it's not necessary for people to believe this information in order to weaken democratic institutions.
You just have to flood a country's public square with enough raw sewage.
You just have to raise enough questions, spread enough dirt, plant enough Conspiracy theorizing that citizens no longer know what to believe.
Once they lose trust in their leaders, in mainstream media, in political institutions, in each other, in the possibility of truth, the game's won.
Former President Barack Obama spoke today at Stanford University in Northern California, talking about disinformation online, how bad it is for democracy.
He put forward some ways that social media companies and public policy should change, in his view, to try to mitigate some of the harm of disinformation.
He also found a way, in making that argument, to use the word sewage—sewage—in what I thought was an absolutely pitch-perfect way.

The Games 1! | ||
Okay, Friday, 22 April, Year of Our Lord 2022.
You're in the War Room. | ||
I want to introduce our new sponsor, Wasteman.
I'm just kidding. | ||
Okay, I want to bring in Boris.
We've got a lot to get through today, a lot of tapes to go through.
Boris Epstein. | ||
Boris, I don't know if we got... Since we want to play this exclusive world premiere, Of the tape we have that you're going to tear for the audience.
I don't want to spend a lot of time.
We'll come back to Rachel Maddow and to President Obama.
But let's say this. | ||
You can tell they're trying to shift the narrative.
They understand they're going to get smoked.
They love democracy so much.
They're going to get smoked by democracy.
On November 8th at every level from school boards all the way up to the House and the Senate.
We're going to have full spectrum dominance.
So now they're trying to change.
They got to change the narrative.
The narrative is that because they're not going to just give up power.
Don't think they're going to sit there and say this is so amazing.
You got all these Hispanic citizens in South Texas and Rio Grande Valley to turn out for Republicans and for MAGA that we're just going to toss the keys.
It's going to be like 16.
They're still going to have the this is how they're teeing up the nullification.
Project Part 2, Boris Epstein.
Steve, I think that's one of the highest compliments you could have gotten.
President Obama is obviously intimidated by Steve Bannon, intimidated by the War Room Posse, intimidated by the MAGA movement, intimidated by President Trump.
There's no two ways about it.
And if you deconstruct the speech a little bit, Obama's definitely not sharp anymore.
The pauses have gotten longer, which is obviously an affectation, as we discussed.
And then he doesn't say the words correctly every time.
You know, oh, people pushing conspiracy theorizing.
What is that? | ||
What are you talking about?
Okay? | ||
Theorizing conspiracy bad and democracy okay.
unidentified
|
I don't think Spotify cancelled their podcast because of some contractual issue.
I think they're just bad.
And nobody wants to watch that.
Okay, if they're trying to bring him back off the plow, it ain't working.
Yeah, no, no, let's break it down.
I don't think Spotify canceled their podcast because of some contractual issue.
unidentified
|
I think they're just bad and nobody wants to watch that.
It's not the Swedes finally woke up.
The Swedes finally woke up.
They got rid of War Room, but they signed a billion-dollar deal with the Obamas.
unidentified
|
Steve, one, two, three, four, five, Bannon, seven, eight.
What is that? | ||
It's a total disaster. | ||
unidentified
|
Hold on. | |
There's five more seconds on this.
We're now in the nitty-gritty.
But big picture, this is just so crystal clear.
They are so intimidated.
They are so scared. | ||
unidentified
|
And the bottom line is, we're winning.
Hey, let's tee up this. | ||
We got a world exclusive.
It's got eight and a half minutes.
I want to go to break. | ||
So tee it up. | ||
What are we about to listen to and why is this so important?
So, Piers Morgan decided that he wanted to be a big league celebrity, okay?
He scored an interview with President Trump.
President Trump was gracious and awarded him an interview.
They had a fine interview.
And, you know, there's some discussion that they disagreed on, but President Trump was, as always, as always, his cordial and cooperative self.
He talked with Pierce. | ||
He did tell him that he's totally wrong on how he handled his own firing.
Told Pierce, vitally, that he's fully wrong on 3 November.
And then after the interview is finished, Pierce Morgan decides to make a star of himself and go and whine and literally lie and say President Trump has cheated him.
You're getting as lack of sharpness as Ben Hornwell.
So hang on. | ||
We're going to go to this tape.
It's going to be a little hard to hear.
unidentified
|
It's the hat. | |
I need the hat. | ||
Lean in. | ||
Lead in. | ||
Listen to it. | ||
We're going to come back.
It's going to play for about seven minutes, but this is exclusive.
And this is all about 3 November.
Okay, go ahead and let it rip.
unidentified
|
The latest poll says that the 2024 election, tell us why, you would be Joe Biden by 6 points and Kamala Harris by 11 points.
In other words, you would be re-elected President of the United States.
So are you going to run again?
Well, you know, for reasons of campaign finance and everything, I'm not allowed to say, but let me just say this, I think a lot of people would be very happy.
I love our country. | ||
Our country is going to hell.
I think a lot of people are going to be really happy.
I'm not going to say that, but I think people are going to be happy.
You might be pretty happy.
Well, the things I'm not happy about, I'll be completely straight with you.
One of them is what happened on January 6th, which was the result of you refusing to accept the result of the election.
It doesn't really matter whether I believe White House or the New York Times.
What would be more interesting to me is to listen to some of the senior Republican voices about this.
Let me – before you start, Nancy Pelosi is in charge of security.
She didn't do her job. | ||
She's half in charge of it.
So the Republicans – The mayor of D.C.
Half of them are in charge.
They're equal. | ||
They're equal share. | ||
The mayor of D.C. and Nancy Pelosi are in charge.
Actually, Republicans have an interest of 50-50 on this.
They want to report this, but this is fact, and this is all documented fact.
Also, very simply, I – I knew how many people.
I knew that this crowd would be massive because it was about the rigged election.
That's why they came to Washington.
And I knew it would be a very big crowd.
It was the largest crowd I've ever spoken before, in my opinion, when I spoke that day.
I told them about 10,000 soldiers for National Guard.
We recommended strongly 10,000 National Guard.
And when we recommended that period, she turned it down.
She didn't want it. | ||
Now, if we had 10,000 soldiers, some people said, I said, from 10 to 20, at a meeting on January 3rd, I'd say, I don't think we have enough.
And they decided to turn that protection down.
Nancy Pelosi, she said she didn't like the way it looked.
If she accepted that protection, you wouldn't have even had a general.
She was actually towering for terror, if you're to laugh, that day.
Because there was a huge mob of people who were attacking the center of democracy in America.
If she allowed the soldiers to be there, the National Guard, or soldiers, and I recommended this to the Secretary of Defense, They called her.
She didn't want it. | ||
She wouldn't have had any fears.
And you wouldn't have had January 6th as we know it.
I want to read you what Mitch McConnell said to the Senate Minority Leader.
Well, Mitch McConnell is... No, no, no.
You can respond to what he said, but he still remains the senior Republican.
Unfortunately. | ||
Yeah, he is right. | ||
We'll see what happens.
Okay. | ||
Fair enough. | ||
But he said this. | ||
He's acknowledged that Joe Biden was the legitimate winner of the 2020 election.
He's rejected your claims of fraud.
And he said about January the 6th, we were all there.
We saw what happened. | ||
It was a violent insurrection for the purpose of trying to prevent a peaceful transfer of power after a legitimately certified election from one administration to the next.
That's what it was. | ||
He told this to the Senate on February the 13th last year.
Former President Trump's actions preceding the riot were a disgraceful dereliction of duty.
He then said, with no question, that President Trump is practically and morally responsible for provoking the events of that day.
And even this season about the riots, he said, he did this because they'd been fed wild forces by the most powerful man on earth because he was angry he'd lost an election.
Number one, he knew nothing about what took place in the election.
And if that were Chuck Schumer, and he knew even the facts then, and since then, they got truth to vote, they got all of the documents, and it's all documented.
The press hates to write about it, but that election was rigged and it was sold.
You said to me- 100%. | ||
Okay, you said to me- Tell me a little bit.
All right. | ||
And you know what's funny?
When Hillary Clinton or when Stacey Abrams says, oh, the election was rigged, nobody says anything.
But the difference is, I have proof.
And we have massive proof.
Okay, let me ask you a question.
What you have to do is take a look.
Let me ask you. | ||
Take a look at the ballot harvesting that took place.
Let me ask you this. | ||
Millions of votes. | ||
You said to me once, that if you talk the talk, and you're a great talker, you've seen that today.
If you talk the talk, you have to walk the walk.
In the context of your claim about the forging of election, it's been 14 months, And we've not seen this hard evidence of the fraud that you say happened.
The press won't report it.
The press, you know, this is like a communist country.
You know, in Russia, they don't even know there's a war going on in Ukraine.
That's how we are with the election.
In Russia, they do not know.
People in Russia don't know that they're fighting Ukraine.
And if they do know, they get the opposite angle.
This is what we have with our election.
The election was rigged and was stolen.
We have all the proof you need.
The press needs to write it.
It's all over the place.
We have to stop it. | ||
Okay? | ||
They just found massive ballot harvesting.
Millions of votes. | ||
Millions and millions of votes.
It's produced. | ||
It's going to be produced.
It has been produced. | ||
And the governor of Georgia didn't want to use it because he turned out to be not a man to care about it.
Can I just say one other thing to you?
After you lost this older man, right, and you've been completely unflagging in your refusal to accept the fees.
And you know why, though?
You know why? | ||
Because if our country doesn't have fair and free elections, and if our country doesn't have borders, we don't have a country.
We have a crooked, corrupt election.
Here's what I'm saying.
I've proven it. | ||
Here's what I'm saying.
I believe it was a free and fair election and that you lost.
That's my belief. | ||
Well then you're a fool.
However, maybe I am a fool.
Maybe I'm the fool in this conversation.
You're a fool and you haven't said it.
Okay, I have said it, but let me put this to you.
There is another twist in this affair, where I think you're on much stronger ground, and where I would agree with you, and that is the suppression of the Hunter Biden laptop scandal, which is what it's become, and it could lead right to the top of Joe Biden.
We don't know yet. | ||
But it seems to me that the way that mainstream media and the tech giants conspired to suppress that story, literally removing it from social media, perhaps 70, not reporting it, not chasing it, 50 senior people coming out saying this was Russian disinformation, all complete nonsense.
There is a belief that that could have stalled the election your way.
In other words, when you talk about having a stalled election, actually, you're on better ground, it seems to me, with the Hunter Biden referral story.
They say it made a 17-point difference.
But you know what? | ||
Even without that, I won it, and we won it big, and we won it easily.
When you look at Pennsylvania, when you look at Georgia, when you look at Arizona, look what's going on in, uh, look at Wisconsin.
What happened with the nursing homes, where almost 100% of the people voted, but in history only a small people living there voted.
Look at what's going on in Georgia.
They want to do things there, but they don't know what to do.
It was so corrupt in Wisconsin that they're saying, They don't know what to do.
unidentified
|
They caught him. | |
So, only a fool, and I guess you're a fool, only a fool would think that was legitimate.
Do you think I'm a fool? | ||
I do not. | ||
No, I never feel that the election was legit.
If you feel that this election wasn't so, then you probably feel that our borders are safe and nobody's coming.
No, I think there's even an issue with the border.
Just as big, and maybe bigger, No, I think this.
I think that you have indicated you're going to run again, and why wouldn't you, given your position in the polls?
But you're aware that there are many people in the Republican Party, your own party, never mind my party, many people in your own party, who believe your resolute refusal to admit that you lost the last election.
It disqualifies you for running again.
Oh, I don't think so. | ||
Now, almost 80% of the people in the Republican Party think the election was rigged.
If you think it was rigged, you have to do something about it.
You know why? | ||
Because the next one's going to be rigged, and the next one.
And we're going to keep going.
Elections have been crooked for a long time.
But this one, they used COVID in order to do mail-in ballots by the millions and millions.
And nobody knew where the hell they were going.
War Room Pandemic with Stephen K. Banham.
The epidemic is a demon and we cannot let this demon hide.
War Room Pandemic. | ||
Here's your host Stephen K. Banham.
Okay, I finally got what Miles Grohl always calls two guns.
You gotta have a two-gun strategy.
Make sure you go to MyPillow.com, promo code WARROOM.
The sheets are up to 60% off, as low as $39.99.
These are the Giza Dream Sheets.
And you've got the pillows, as low as $19.99.
Of course, hundreds of items.
When you go to the, including blankets, 50% off and weighted blankets, the new weighted blanket, 50% off, go there to get a great night's sleep.
You need a great night's sleep.
So the two guns, that's it to man the ramparts.
And you see how Obama, Obama fears.
Isn't it great? | ||
Obama fears the War Room Posse.
Fears it! | ||
That's why he's at Stanford at this big disinformation conference.
Fears War Room. | ||
Fears the War Room Posse.
Fears the activism. | ||
The other gun, you gotta get a great night's sleep, the Man in the Ramparts, and then when you get up in the morning, we finally got the right blends.
We've got Warpath Coffee.
This is why we've been so jacked up this week.
We finally got it in, but it got it right.
Been working on this for a while.
Warpath Coffee go to, with this partnership with this company run by Navy SEALs.
Go to warpath.coffee. | ||
You got the Mariner's Blend.
That's for the Navy types.
This is a dark roast that I have worked on with these guys forever.
We finally got it right.
It's perfect. | ||
I'm a dark roast fanatic, and I've got a dark roast now.
That's the best. | ||
Don't need to buy Starbucks or any of that crap anymore.
warpath.coffee. | ||
Get the Mariner's Blend.
Now, if you're not so inclined to drink dark roasts, we got the Black Powder, which is a breakfast blend.
Okay? | ||
We got a breakfast blend.
If you're not quite into total dark roast, and then we got the Mariner's Blend.
So if you like your coffee hot and black, try the Mariner's Roast.
That's warpath.coffee.
So we got the sleep, best sleep systems in the world, and we got the way to get up and get on top of it, and that's what we do here.
Okay, world exclusive right there.
We're going to get back to Kevin McCarthy.
We're going to get back to Yvonne.
We're going to get to all of it.
We're jam-packed today.
We got so much going on. | ||
Boris. | ||
President Trump, I just want to say, I want you to give the details.
I know it's a little hard to hear, but I hope you heard it.
Look, first of all, I don't know why people need to watch the, you know, Piers Morgan was trying to draft off Trump's status, celebrity, all that, to open his new show.
His show is going to open worse.
Then Chris Wallace. | ||
CNN, what a week we've had.
CNN plus. | ||
Ten days. | ||
Ten days. | ||
Three hundred million dollars.
McKinsey as a consultant.
They pulled the plug. | ||
Done. | ||
Here, what's so impressive, and I know it's a little hard to hear for the posse, Donald J. Trump not only has the receipts, he can read the receipts from memory.
He knows exactly how this thing was stolen.
He knows exactly how Joe Biden's illegitimate.
Boris Epstein. | ||
And Steve, first of all, I want to give another shout out.
That coffee is amazing.
I've been having it. | ||
I'm even more jacked up than I usually am, okay?
I'm not, it's helping me with my tan, the facial hair is growing out, okay?
You say that like, you say, hold on, you say that's like, that's a good thing.
I'm going to have an audience vote, do we need Boris more jacked or not, but I digress.
Don't have the vote in my household.
I will lose. | ||
It won't even have to be rigged.
unidentified
|
Okay. | |
And don't forget the code, the posse, the posse gets the code 15% off.
Oh yeah. | ||
The whole, the whole 15%.
I forgot. | ||
I forgot the punchline.
Put in War Room. | ||
Come on, put, put in War Room, go to warpath.coffee, put in War Room and get 15% off.
Do it today. | ||
Warpath. | ||
Blackout with the breakfast blend.
And you got Mariner's Blend, the Navy coffee.
Mariner's Blend. | ||
God, I love that. | ||
Okay. | ||
Piers Morgan. | ||
Piers Morgan. | ||
Can I say something before you go?
He was not ready for Trump.
Trump bench-pressed him.
Trump went beast mode. | ||
That was a flex. | ||
Piers Morgan's cut this thing illegally and it makes it look like Trump's storming out.
Trump had a full flex. | ||
That was a bench press. | ||
Cool, calm and collected.
And that's why we have this exclusive.
Because the president was cool, Coltman collected the whole time.
He's like, yeah, Pierce, you kind of suck.
You messed up. | ||
You got fired. | ||
You overreacted and went after the weatherman.
You're a loser. | ||
And by the way, here's an eight-minute dissertation on the stolen election.
You want to come and do a week's stuff here?
Here's eight minutes on how it was stolen.
Georgia, Wisconsin, ballot boxes, Zuckerbucks.
unidentified
|
Wow. | |
everything. And the reason we have that audio is because there's some really strong people in President Trump's team. And particularly want to give a shout out to Taylor Budowich. He's the comms director. He does a great job out there. And and Taylor taped taped the interview, because you've got to protect your principle. That is number one in communications number one in politics.
You've got to protect the principle, and President Trump was protected here.
And the key in that whole exchange is that anytime Piers Morgan tries to lob anything at President Trump, he gets his Mickey Mantle battle and just whacks it out of the park, okay?
He did not back down on anything, and Piers Morgan had nothing to bring.
And you can tell from that interview that President Trump isn't, he's not perturbed, he's not upset.
Again, cool, calm, and collected because he's got the receipts, he's bringing the receipts, and that is why Piers Morgan had to try and manufacture drama, and he failed so miserably.
It's blown up in his face.
And Piers, I said this on Twitter, buddy, but here's some advice to you and all of your friends over there.
Here's some really free advice to all of your News Corp buddies.
Preserve your documents.
Preserve your documents.
Okay? | ||
Because you cannot go and malign somebody.
You cannot go and defame somebody.
You can't tamper and manufacture audio and video and then think it's not going to blow up in your face.
So while you're busy attacking members of President Trump's staff, we're busy thinking about what we're going to do about this.
It's a big problem for you, Pierce.
And maybe, just maybe, you're about to get fired for the millionth time in your pathetic career.
Preserve your documents.
Preserve your documents, man.
That sounds like kind of a heads-up on a throw-down.
That's big. | ||
I gotta tell you, I know he plays cricket or he doesn't play baseball, but his fastball doesn't work against a guy like Trump.
Trump's not in the game right now.
And by the way, Steve, you gotta bring heat.
You gotta bring heat. | ||
I think that's actually the biggest lead here, is that what you saw there in that interview, what you just heard, is I'm not even going to say vintage.
I'm going to say it's vintage plus Donald J. Trump 2015-2016, okay?
He's ready to roll. | ||
He's in full beast mode, and it's what we talked about, right?
And that's why President Trump is the leader of this movement, is the leader of MAGA, leader of the War Room Posse.
He is what we are. | ||
He is in January playoff ready mode.
Okay? | ||
All these other guys, you know, they're coming in, they got two-a-days maybe.
Maybe, you know, they're in football, they're in training camp, in baseball, in spring training.
Not President Trump. | ||
He's in the playoffs every single day, and he's ready to bring it.
And he brought it there on Piers Morgan.
Before we leave the Piers Morgan thing, I gotta say something.
And we're gonna put this up.
As soon as we get a cut, the folks in Denver, we're going to put it up everywhere, but particularly Captain Band and the rest of the production team are going to get this up on Getter and all of our other platforms.
Everybody have the opportunity to hear this, play it back.
There was also a column, I guess he's got a new column too, right?
He's got a column, I think it was in the New York Post, but it might have been Daily Mail, but he had a column and he talked about There's a post he talked about beforehand.
He said, hey, they call him upstairs to President Trump's office.
You know, must've been something wrong.
He heard Trump. | ||
He said Trump sitting there with a mimeograph sheet and he's like reading.
Somebody gave him bad quotes, Piers had said about him before, and Trump's reading these quotes and getting angry, and Piers is doing this in the first person, he's getting angrier and angrier, and then he said, and Piers is thinking to himself, he says, wow, this guy's going to cancel this, he's so angry of what I said, but it's all true, and he keeps saying, yes, but President Trump, when I said it, it's really true, and it's really nasty stuff.
And President Trump said, you know, I thought we were friends and he this is nasty.
And then Piers thinking says I got to change this from I would keep this interview. He says, hey, I heard you got a hole in one. And President Trump says, oh, yeah, I've had seven. And then Pierce starts going, oh, you know, pat him on the head. I read that I go that whole scene and column is a stone cold lie. Stone cold. Okay. I've been around President Trump when he's focused on something he's not happy about.
This thing about, oh, I told him, like a little kid, I showed him a shiny toy, pat him on the head about his hole-in-one, and then all of a sudden he goes, oh, Piers, Piers, let's go down and have an interview.
He perked up. | ||
That is, as soon as I saw that, I go, everything about this edit has got to be false, right?
Because this is, Piers Morgan's lying in the column that set it up, Boris Epstein.
It's all a lie. | ||
The column is a lie. | ||
Did he go up there, Piers Morgan?
From what I understand, yes.
But was there this, you know, in-depth, let's read it line by line, and then all of a sudden an 180 degree switch?
There was absolutely not.
This was completely manufactured because Piers Morgan got owned.
And we know it's happened to me.
Remember, when I went on R.E.M.
Albert and owned him on MSNBC?
That's what they do. | ||
When they get owned, they start lying.
Okay? | ||
So, Piers Morgan got owned by Donald J. Trump, the 45th, 46th, and 47th President of the United States.
Okay? | ||
Piers Morgan got owned by President Trump, and he tried to manufacture this drama that didn't happen.
The only drama that happened is that, again, Piers Morgan got destroyed, and President Donald J. Trump went chapter and verse on how the 2020 election, how 3 November was rigged and stolen.
Chapter and verse with specifics, with facts, with information, and that is what they're most scared of.
And that's how this ties into Obama, right?
Oh, it's all sewage and disinformation.
Wrong. | ||
We're bringing the receipts.
We're bringing the info.
You guys pushed the Russia hoax, then pushed through two impeachments, and have been owned every single step of the way, and that's why the American people have no interest in keeping any of you around.
That's what Biden is in the teens in approval, and Pelosi and Democrats in Congress are even lower.
We've got the truth. | ||
President Trump brought the truth in that interview, and I'm so proud to have played it here exclusively for the War Room Posse.
Hold it, and the tape is there.
Obama's sitting there going, it's different, it's disinformation.
And here's the key point to take away.
We're going to connect some dots and we're going to come back and play the McCarthy tape.
McCarthy and Piers Morgan are their own, but then they're self-owned.
Because they both lied about it.
Piers Morgan did a false edit, right, and wrote an untrue column in the New York Post to tee it up.
McCarthy tells everybody in the world, oh, I didn't say that.
And then they pop the tape, just like we just played the raw tape here.
These are self-owned. | ||
The tape don't lie. | ||
They self-owned. | ||
They self-owned. | ||
Short break. | ||
We're going to be back. | ||
We've got a jam show. | ||
Christina Karama is going to join us.
Dr. Malone is going to join us.
We've got the heroes that took down the Philadelphia mask.
They're going to be here.
Steve Cortez. | ||
I got the great Boris Epstein right here.
We're going to play Rachel Maddow again on McCarthy.
And they're going to hear from Jonathan Martin and Alexander Burns, who actually, I think, have the receipts on this one.
Okay, short break. | ||
break. | ||
Back in a moment. | ||
It's a very, very important part of our lives.
In a statement to the New York Times earlier today, a spokesman for Kevin McCarthy issued a flat denial that McCarthy ever said he would push Trump to resign.
That spokesman said, quote, McCarthy never said he'd call Trump to say he should resign.
McCarthy never said he'd call Trump to say he should resign.
To further clarify, you should also know that NBC News reached out to the Congressman's office following that statement, specifically asking again and drilling down on the question of whether or not Mr. McCarthy said he would push President Trump to resign.
His spokesman responded, saying, quote, no he did not.
Leader McCarthy also issued a statement himself today, saying in part, quote, the New York Times reporting on me is totally false and wrong.
The problem with these denials from Mr. McCarthy and his office is that we have now obtained audio of that January 10th phone call that Leader McCarthy held with other top Republicans in which he, in fact, said he's going to call Trump and tell him that he must resign.
The authors of this new book, Jonathan Martin and Alexander Burns from the New York Times, they have shared that audio of this call with us so that we can share it with you tonight so that you can know that when Kevin McCarthy denies that this happened, He is not telling the truth.
Here it is. | ||
unidentified
|
Liz, you on the phone? | |
Yeah, I'm here. | ||
Thanks, Kevin. | ||
I guess first a question.
When we were talking about the 25th Amendment resolution, and you asked what happens if it gets there after he's gone, is there any chance, are you hearing, that he might resign?
Is there any reason to think that might happen?
I've had a few discussions.
My gut tells me no. | ||
I'm seriously thinking of having that conversation with him tonight.
I haven't talked to him in a couple days.
From what I know of him, I mean, you guys all know him too.
Do you think he'd ever back away?
But what I think I'm going to do is I'm going to call him.
This is what I think. | ||
No one will pass the house.
I think there's a chance he'll pass the Senate, even when he's gone.
And I think there's a lot of different ramifications for that.
Now, I haven't had a discussion with the Dems that if he did resign, would it not happen?
Now, this is one personal fear I have.
I do not want to get into any conversation about him partying again.
I mean, the only discussion I would have with him Okay, let me, uh, no, we'll come back to the other one.
I mean that would be my take but I don't think he would take it but I don't know.
Okay let me uh no we'll come back to the other one.
Okay uh the um Boris I mean she had uh Jonathan Martin and Alexander Burns on.
So we get into into that.
But because they talk afterwards, talk about the talk about because I know you've been hot on Twitter in this.
I want you to break it down between actually what was in The New York Times story and what's actually the content of what he said about and what that means to the relationship of the president.
And then the cardinal sin of the denial when they actually had the recordings, sir.
I mean, the number one rule of politics and communications and media is don't go on the record and state something where there may be receipts that are a thousand percent the opposite of that.
And that's what happened here.
And that was a major mistake.
Major mistake by Leader McCarthy and by his team.
No doubt about it. | ||
unidentified
|
Okay? | |
That's number one. | ||
That's present. | ||
Okay? | ||
Number two, what's interesting about the New York Times piece is this is the third New York Times piece in a row.
Number one, about the power center of the Republican Party of MAGA being undoubtedly, undisputedly Mar-a-Lago.
The continued strength of the 3 November movement to cure the wrong of the Reagan election.
And now this, where the bottom line of the story, the bottom line of the story is, well, now McCarthy does everything he can to be on President Trump's good side.
And McConnell has already said that no matter what happens, he's going to back Trump in 2024 as long as he's the nominee.
But in terms of that, that's, again, present.
And let's be honest, the reason that McCarthy put out that statement is, again, doing anything he can to continue to stay on the positive side of President Trump and MAGA.
In terms of that response and that exchange, it is unbelievably disappointing.
There's no two ways about it.
It shows you that the establishment in D.C.
really had no idea about reality.
We all knew what was happening.
Yes, I tweeted that day that there's no room for violence and all violence has to stop.
Full stop. | ||
President Trump, by the way, said exactly the same thing.
But this unbelievable tizzy, okay, and freak out by establishment Republicans, okay, and talking about Liz Cheney talking about the 25th Amendment and them talking about resigning and all that, and Pence pardons That nonsense tells you how divorced from reality, divorced from reality, the establishment of the Uniparty really is.
It also tells you that Liz Cheney has been meaning to knife everybody else in the Republican Party just like she's knifed MAGA for a long time.
Because there's two people in that conversation, I doubt that Speaker McCarthy released it, and I doubt Scalise released it, so I think it's pretty clear who released the tape, because it's You know, it's unbelievably endangering to McCarthy and Scalise.
Liz Cheney, that's on brand for her now.
That's what she's trying to run at.
And failing because MAGA controls the Republican Party.
MAGA is in charge. | ||
So, this is a big problem for Leader McCarthy as he is working toward becoming Speaker.
And that's been his goal, obviously.
And now, at this point, he's got to work it out directly with President Trump because This is, again, unfortunately the tape don't lie, right?
So, in terms of, and thankfully the tape doesn't lie.
But when you say working out with President Trump, I don't know how, let me be very blunt and connect some dots here.
From the opening salvo, we played Obama.
And I want everybody in this audience to understand, this is not about me, Boris Epstein, or anybody, this is about you.
This is, they fear you. | ||
Obama's sitting there in that whole Atlantic article, everything that's coming down, this thing of the eliminationist, they're talking about the eliminationist narrative, the eliminationist rhetoric, okay?
And the lies and the disinformation.
This is about this posse because this audience, the vanguard, the cadre, the posse, this is an activist audience that gets stuff done.
You're not here for your entertainment.
We cover a lot of tough topics and we drill down on them.
If you hear Obama, let's go back in time.
If it was not for this show and this audience to be brutally frank about it, they would try to roll on Trump.
Right there you're hearing all the money, all the leadership of the Republican Party, how they're plotting in Trump's probably weakest moment, right?
When the whole world turned against him because of something quite frankly was not in his control.
He was absolutely correct, like he told Piers Morgan.
And like on the 6th January, right?
We want we wanted the what the electoral count act of 1887 said should have happened and go ahead and try to change it.
Mayor Garland in the House and the Senate and little Jimmy.
There's nothing wrong with it.
The facts are the facts, and I'm sorry you don't like the facts.
And I'm sorry you don't like the structure of how the electoral count of 1887 in the Constitution.
Sorry, go ahead and change it if you want to.
It's not going to get changed.
We like it exactly the way it is.
Okay? | ||
So suck on that. | ||
But I want to go back. | ||
If it was not for this show and this audience, in that moment, they would have tried to roll... I mean, they were trying to roll Trump.
They might have been able to roll Trump.
This shows you how important this audience is.
You stood in the breach when it mattered.
Look at what they're plotting right there.
And they got every kind of different way.
They got Pence, the same cast of characters.
This is like a Shakespearean drama, right?
That's like the, that's like the Ides of March.
This is the senators. | ||
This is how they plotted against you.
This is what they're doing, right?
They're plotting and they're talking.
They got all kind of different ways.
They're doing this and they're doing that.
Quiet whispers in the shadows.
He's a good man. | ||
That Georgetown education is coming through.
You see right there, and it's the populist movement as personified by the show.
That's why they have to take this show down.
This is why they have to get rid of us.
We know that. | ||
We see what they're doing.
We got that. | ||
Obama, he's sending out a dog whistle to his folks, because they're still calling the shots behind the scenes, everybody knows that.
He's sitting out there at Stanford, they've got the venture capitalists, this is the whole thing.
Bring it, exactly. | ||
Boris, we'll play the Jonathan Martin thing, and I realize you've got Passover again tonight, but on Monday we're going to go through this, because this is important.
We've got Riopolitik over in Ukraine.
Well, you got real politique here in the good old United States of America.
Right? | ||
Boris Epstein, your closing thoughts and analysis, I want to tie together the Piers Morgan, Trump bringing the heat and in beast mode with Obama and what we're hearing here with McCarthy.
And by the way, you talk about leaders.
Compare Donald Trump to Kevin McCarthy.
Just compare and contrast.
Also, one thing I want to say, too.
We know we're going to have a sweeping win in November.
If you think they're going to sit there and pat you on the head and toss you the keys, it's going to be like 2016 to the 10th power.
Because they understand with the House exactly what we can do and will do today.
Oh yeah. | ||
So you've got to be... GERD for combat.
Okay? | ||
GERD for... because they're bringing it now.
Disinformation. | ||
Eliminist rhetoric. | ||
This is pre... Oh, you guys are fascist.
This is pre-Holocaust.
That's what they're saying.
So don't think this is going to get anything.
Is Kevin McCarthy, not just the character, does he have the, does he have the, does he have the intestinal fortitude to take this forward?
Boris Epstein. | ||
I think that tape says it all.
And I think that's very, you know, it's again, extremely, extremely hurtful to hopes that Karen McCarthy has to become Speaker.
Because here's the problem with the tape, Steve, is that it's saying the quiet part out loud.
This is what, I mean, look at the chat rooms, look at what the War Room posse says to us when they reach out.
This is what they think actually happens.
This is how they think the establishment talks to one another.
And guess what? | ||
It really is how they talk to one another.
So, Kevin McCarthy's got a big problem.
He's got a big problem, and if he could do something to mend fences somehow and prove himself to the MAGA movement, the war imposter, to President Trump, that's upon him to do.
That's upon him. | ||
President Trump's shown.
Look at J.D. | ||
Vance, right? | ||
J.D. | ||
Vance was somebody who was a major critic six years ago, and he's coming strong, coming hot on MAGA in the last several years, and President Trump has seen that and believes it's authentic and moved forward with it.
So, these next several months are a test for Kevin McCarthy.
Do I think he's going to pass it right now?
That's a big question. | ||
That's a big question. | ||
Hold on, hold on. | ||
That's the thing. | ||
You have two audiences.
One is obviously J.D. | ||
Vance has convinced President Trump, and we're going to see if J.D.
Vance has convinced MAGA.
The electorate. | ||
Right? | ||
The electorate. | ||
Right. | ||
So, and I think McCarthy's got to do the same thing.
First off, I don't know how many men's finches in South Florida, but that's not my line.
unidentified
|
That's not my line of country.
One thing that would potentially help is for Kevin McCarthy to say that the only candidates he's going to back and support from here on out are just the super blood red MAGA candidates.
Okay. | ||
And follow through on it.
and follow through on it. No more, no more, you know, let's play behind the scenes with Nancy Mace.
No more let's play behind the scenes with with the candidate opposing Joe Kent in in Washington.
No more Peter Meyer. No more, no more of this nonsense. If Kevin McCarthy over the next several months comes in hot.
and puts all his power with CLF, et cetera, behind MAGA candidates, there's a conversation to be had.
That is the only way, in my estimation, that gets fixed.
Because here's where you're connecting the dots, Steve, between Obama, Piers Morgan, and this.
MAGA is in control, and President Trump is the undisputed leader of MAGA, the Republican Party, and the United States of America.
Amen, brother. Real quickly, how did it get to your morning letter and everything?
No doubt about it. | ||

That would be Secretary of State.
It would be Michigan. | ||
It would be Christina Karama.

In 37 states, the Secretaries of State are the chief elections officers.
That means they oversee elections and voter registration.
In 2020, they held the United States' rickety democracy together by certifying Joe Biden's win.
But what happens if Secretaries of State won't protect democracy?
In most states, they're elected.
And it's precisely those elections that Trump and his cronies are targeting.
Trump's choice in Georgia is Jody Heiss, who voted against certifying the 2020 election.
His choice in Michigan is Christina Caramo, who falsely claimed to have witnessed election fraud.
In Arizona, Trump has endorsed Mark Fincham, a QAnon-supporting member of the Oath Keepers militia who participated in the January 6th insurrection.
At least 20 other candidates now running for Secretary of State do not believe in the legitimacy of the 2020 election.
No, we do not believe in the legitimacy of the election.
And we don't believe in the legitimacy of Joe Biden.
And we don't care if you don't like it.
And little Jamie Raskin and Benny Thompson and Merrick Garland, you can suck on it, OK?
Because he's illegitimate.
And we're going to win a sweeping victory using democracy, small d democracy, this November.
And then we're going to impeach him.
How about that? | ||
Don't like that? | ||
Obama? | ||
President Obama? | ||
Don't like that? | ||
Uh, elites out in Stanford?
Don't like that? | ||
Sorry. | ||
Not sorry. | ||
We now have the great Christina Caramo, who's part of that Robert Wright beatdown right there.
Christina, you got a big day tomorrow.
Tell us what's going- tell us what's- I know you're fearless.
I wanted to play that. | ||
You ought to put that up.
It'd be a great fundraising effort for you.
Tell us what's happening tomorrow in your race, ma'am.
unidentified
|
Yes, tomorrow is a big day.
It is my election where delegates will converge in Grand Rapids, Michigan to elect the Republican nominee for Secretary of State, among other offices.
And we're very excited.
Our campaign has been leaps and bounds ahead of any other Secretary of State campaign.
We have overwhelming support.
We've fundraised exponentially higher than anyone else.
And so there is no way for us to lose.
Unless there is shenanigans that we have heard rumors about at certain conventions in the counties, but we are confident that we will be successful and we are ready to fight for the people of Michigan.
And it's so important for people to know about the MAGA movement, is that we are fighting for all Americans, even if they don't like us.
It is not about empowering ourselves.
It is not empowering other people.
It's about empowering Americans to take our country back and for our voices to be the ones that dictate the future of our country and nothing else.
I think that is so powerful.
I want to go back through that one more and just talk about the intensity now of the grassroots movement, and particularly leaders like you have inspired so many people.
You know, President Trump has lit this prairie fire, and then leaders like you throughout these different regions of the country have stepped up.
Give that to us one more time, because I think that's, the mainstream media never will do that, and of course Obama, this guy, said you're nothing but disinformation.
But you're there, you're going to win as a MAGA candidate, but you're there to represent everybody in Michigan.
Are you not, ma'am? | ||
unidentified
|
Absolutely. | |
And that's the thing. | ||
Like President Trump says, this is a populist movement.
This is a movement for the everyday man and woman across our state, no matter political affiliation, no matter economic, any other category we can think of, who has their voice robbed from them by the political elites like Obama.
They do not want the people to have a voice because if we have a voice, they can't control us.
One of the things I found so inspiring as we've gone across the state, we've done over 200 events across the state of Michigan, and we have seen so many people who are saying, I am just now getting involved.
I've been asleep of the wheel.
I'm getting involved. | ||
People are running for things like county commissioner, city council, school boards, precinct delegates, or some areas they call a precinct captain.
We are seeing everyday people rise up and fight back because that's the only way we're going to protect and defend our country.
We can't look for a savior, per se.
We have to do it ourselves.
Now, of course, as a Christian, I'm talking about in a secular context, we can't look for one person to rise up and save our country.
That's something that we have to do ourselves.
We are Republican. | ||
What's very interesting is that gentleman whose name I won't even mention, who claims that folks are lying and what have you, a very good friend of mine, Patti McMurray, I'm 100% fed up, and Jim Hoffman, Gateway Pundit, they interviewed folks from True the Vote, and they have video, surveillance footage in Detroit during the 2020 election of a woman signing multiple ballots and putting them in ballot drop boxes.
That is a crime. | ||
That is election fraud on camera, plain as day, that no one can deny.
So the egg is going to be on their face and we will be vindicated and the people of Michigan, the people of America, we will not back down and I am determined to fight and stand by my principles because The survival of our nation is on the line.
That's why the Secretary of State's race is so important.
It's the race that people typically ignore many times, and they just didn't pay attention to it.
But now they realize the Secretary of State is so critical to protecting our republic, protecting that democratic issues, that small, deep process to make sure that election outcomes represent the will of the people, not those corrupting the system.
And when I talk to independents and soft Democrats, they agree with what we're stating, because they understand that this is not a partisan issue.
This is an American issue.
And so, if we don't clean up our election system, we functionally no longer have an operational constitutional republic left.
Amen. | ||
Christina, how do people follow you?
How do they find out more about you, and how do they find out more about your race?
unidentified

So yeah, check out my website, ChristinaCaramo.com.

Instagram, Facebook, we're going to need all the help we can get because my Democratic opponent, she has tons of money coming in from across America because they're fixated on keeping her in that office.

That's what we're about.
That's what I'm about. | ||
And I'm determined to fight for people because at the end of the day, Steve, I answer to God.
And I want my children to inherit freedom, not tyranny.
Christina, you're the future of this country.
