Well the virus has now killed more than a hundred people in China and new cases have been confirmed around the world.
You don't want to frighten the American public.
France and South Korea have also got evacuation plans.
But you need to prepare for and assume.
Broadly warning Americans to avoid all non-essential travel to China.
This is going to be a real serious problem.
France, Australia, Canada, the US, Singapore, Cambodia, Vietnam, the list goes on.
Health officials are investigating more than 100 possible cases in the US.
Germany, a man has contracted the virus.
The epidemic is a demon and we cannot let this demon hide.
Japan, where a bus driver contracted the virus.
Coronavirus has killed more than 100 people there and infected more than 4,500.
We have to prepare for the worst, always.
anthony fauci
Because if you don't, and the worst happens... War Room.
unidentified
Pandemic.
Here's your host, Stephen K. Bannon.
steve bannon
Okay, we got a lot to get to and not a lot of time to do it.
Let's bring in Dr. Peter Navarro.
Dr. Navarro, give us your assessment.
We got Cortez, we got Harnwell, we got Bill Gertz going to join us momentarily.
Give us your assessment of where we stand in this entire fiasco, sir.
peter navarro
Let's look at through the lens of the financial markets.
On Friday, we had the biggest rally in the financial markets since November of 2020.
And ironically, it was on the expectation that the Europeans and others around the world were going to stand down and back down against Russia.
There's been some ratcheting up now, as Steve Bannon has been reporting.
And by the way, Steve, You guys are doing the very best coverage of this crisis anywhere.
steve bannon
Thank you, but part of the very best coverage, I'm not sure, I think it's because they felt the Fed was going to back off of any, they're going to not stop quantitative easing.
peter navarro
No, I'll tell you exactly what it was.
It was the idea that, the nuclear, the big nuclear weapon is the SWIFT system, which is the system that Russia uses, all countries use to basically settle payments and move Money around and there was some talk about completely cutting Russia off and they backed away from that and they did quote Select banks and the market seemed it was like it was a stupid.
I mean look the markets do the market thing But over the weekend resolve seemed a firm have Switzerland doing what they're doing BP Just pulled out of Russia which is a big deal in terms of the energy markets and So, you know, my view is, going back to November of 2020 on this show, we're in a short market that's trending down now, and the uncertainty we're facing is only going to get worse.
It looks like the resolve in Ukraine is stiffening, but this is indeed the fog of war.
Biden is going to do his wag the dog thing.
But, you know, my point here is that as this chaos unfolds, There's so many other things going wrong with the economy that we're not paying attention to as well.
But that's kind of where we stand as short... But hold it.
unidentified
Whoa, whoa, whoa.
Hang on.
Whoa, whoa, whoa.
steve bannon
He's going to use... I know.
But he's going to use tomorrow... It's going to wag the markets.
He's going to say, this is all because of Putin.
This is all the financial, the dumpster fire that is the American economy.
In fact, Cortez is going to get in the second.
I think it was ABC or CBS got ahead of it saying all this great growth and the comeback growth economy and the Biden growth economy is going to be thwarted by Putin and the oligarchs.
That dog ain't going to hunt.
CNBC and ABC and CBS, you can put it on all you want.
We're going to blow it up every time we do it because it's nonsense.
It's direct actions of Joe Biden and his illegitimate regime here.
Yes sir, go ahead.
peter navarro
My worst fear here is that once again, for the second big time in several decades, this is going to divert us from communist China as the single most important existential threat to this country and the world.
Back in the Bush administration, a little history for you, the Bush administration early on was actually going to pivot to China And then along came 9-11 and we lost 15 years to get to Donald Trump.
steve bannon
Hold it, hold it.
Long came 9-11 and also the Bush family making tons of dough as they sent Scowcroft over there.
peter navarro
And Cheney, let's not forget Dick Cheney because he was the real puppet master in the White House, but my point simply is that, Steve, you and I know that the existential threat to this world and this country is communist China.
And now we got chaos again in Europe.
But from an investment point of view, watching the markets, I think it tells you a lot about how things are unfolding by how the markets are going.
And that's my role here on the show in some sense, and in Cortes as well.
steve bannon
How do people get to you, Peter?
How do people follow you on Getter?
peter navarro
Yeah, real pain to borrow on Getter, the Twitter killer.
Let's just stay focused on Getter for now.
We really need to take out Twitter, Steve, as well as Facebook.
Folks, if you're listening to this or watching this, Get a Twitter account.
Try to wean yourself.
Excuse me.
steve bannon
Get a getter account.
peter navarro
Get a getter account.
Wean yourself from Twitter because what Twitter does, behind the scenes, it's just doing all sorts of evil.
It's just bad.
It's wrong.
Get rid of Twitter.
steve bannon
Get on the better.
We've got to bounce.
Thank you very much, Dr. Navarro, for taking time away from your busy long weekend in your new vacation home.
Thank you very much, sir.
As we in the war room continue to labor on post, right?
You and Biden take the weekend off.
unidentified
Thanks, sir.
peter navarro
Bring in the bell.
unidentified
2024.
steve bannon
As we in the boardroom continue to labor on post, right?
You and Biden take the weekend off.
Thanks, sir.
Before I go to Gertz, Gertz, thoughts, observations, commentary?
steve cortes
Well, listen, you mentioned that there's a propaganda campaign going on in the United States right now within our corporate media where they are trying to present the Ukraine situation as an excuse, as a beard effectively, to cover the Biden economic explosion, which was already accelerating here, was already intensifying the economy, decelerating inflation, accelerating the.
The worsening economy, which was very much in existence before anything got hot over in Ukraine.
And to prove my point, let's show a chart here.
This was a tweet and an article put up by the Washington Post.
This is chart three, folks.
And by the way, since I actually praised the Washington Post earlier in the show, of course, it's incumbent upon me to slam them properly.
So right now, they actually put this article and put this headline up.
US economy appeared ready to surge.
Uh, now that is gaslighting of the highest level.
The economy was not surging.
The economic quagmire in this country has been worsening by the month for an entire year plus under Joe Biden.
We are not going to let them use this sleight of hand.
They mean in the Washington Post.
CNN, ABC, the rest of them, we're not going to let them use this sleight of hand, nor will we allow Joe Biden himself to try to use it tomorrow night to create a boogeyman in Putin and blame him for the economic woes of the working class in this country.
This is a created crisis, the inflation of the United States by Joe Biden, a crisis that is sure to be worsened by this other created crisis.
Over in the Black Sea, but but irrespective of what happens in Ukraine and Russia, we already have an inflation explosion in the United States.
We were already well on our way to recession, and I think unfortunately that trajectory is only going to be hastened now with crude oil in the mid 90s.
steve bannon
Okay, let's bring in Bill Gertz, the great analyst of all things Chinese Communist Party and China, one of the best military analysts around, the headline of today's Financial Times, Putin puts nuclear forces on alert.
We put this up yesterday in our Getter account.
Gertz, Russia is a superpower, really, not just in nuclear weapons, they're actually a more dangerous superpower as far as cyber goes, but you've been watching China.
Walk us through your latest article and your assessment of what's going on here.
bill gertz
Well, the Chinese are trying to play the same duplicitous game that they have on North Korea with the new pariah, Russia, after its invasion of Ukraine.
They haven't condemned it.
They haven't called it an invasion.
They have all kinds of secret agreements, including intelligence sharing.
And one of the interesting things I uncovered was this Back in 2012, Xi Jinping and Yanukovych, the then pro-Russian premier of Ukraine, signed a nuclear cooperation deal.
And under that deal, China, through its headlines, said China will provide a nuclear umbrella to Ukraine.
So now we have Putin upping the alert status of his nuclear forces.
This is part of what the Russians call escalate to de-escalate.
It basically means that because they're their conventional forces are weaker than their nuclear forces, that they will be ready to go nuclear on a shorter timeframe.
And that's what's raised a lot of concern.
So the question now is, will China come to Ukraine's aid?
And of course, we know that Xi Jinping, this will be another international agreement that will be violated by Xi Jinping.
steve bannon
I want to go to cyber quickly.
And you're the best guy on the Taiwan watch.
These are two massive superpowers for cyber.
People actually say that on offensive capability, Russia may be even better than the United States.
People forget, I think it was coming out of the Ukraine, during the Ukraine situation, they had a massive cyber attack in June of 2017.
The Russians basically shut down the whole country.
It was shortly after that, I think it was NSA got leaked some of our best cyber weapons code that the Russians have picked up.
In Russia, I think there's a, I think it was Toyota today or somebody, somebody shut down a big plant because of a massive cyber attack.
Bill Gertz, what should people in this country be looking for as far as potential cyber attacks by this regime in Moscow as they get their back up against the wall, and also Xi and his preparation for the takeover of Taiwan?
bill gertz
What's really giving the top cybersecurity people in Washington heartburn is the fact that we have known for probably at least a decade that both China and Russia have been inside of our industrial control networks. And of course, there's 16 critical infrastructures, but we all know that all of those critical infrastructures rely on one thing, the electric grid. So the fact that the Chinese and
the Russians have been inside of those networks is raising real fears because they're privately owned. So successive administrations have pushed private industry to do more to try and clear out and protect, especially our electric grid, and it's highly vulnerable.
Of course, we have very powerful cyber capabilities too.
Biden in his announcement the other day said, if the Russians attack us, our critical infrastructure and cyber, we're going to respond.
I know that the US has the capability to turn out the lights in Moscow as well.
So yeah, this could escalate into something really nasty.
steve bannon
Okay, Bill, how do people get to you?
Thank you.
I know you had to change things around to join us, but we always think you're the best in everything related to China and this kinetic cyber and economic warfare.
How do people get to you?
bill gertz
Yeah, I'm on Twitter at Bill Gertz, also Getter, and my website is the Gertz file, gertzfile.com.
Thanks, Steve.
steve bannon
Bill, extraordinary work.
Thank you very much.
I want everybody to pile in right now.
Let's get the Gertz file up as we go.
Do we have Ben Harnwell?
Can I go to Rome and Ben Harnwell?
Ben, tell us what's happening in the capitals of Europe and what's happening with these false front NGOs that are the running dogs of the energy oligarchs in Russia, sir.
ben harnwell
Morning, Steve.
Well, my headline for today's reporting is that America beware, your NATO allies are using non-military means to provoke Russia into a hot war.
Specifically, one example of how that is being conducted is by looking at the European response.
You said earlier on the show that Zelensky has asked to join the European Union.
Well, EU Commission Chief Ursula von der Leyen actually not only spoke in favour of that, she said that Ukraine's destiny is part of Europe and she offered 500 million Well, the important thing to remember about this, Steve, is that unlike NATO, which as we know already is NATO membership Ukraine is considered a provocation from Vladimir Putin's point of view.
Membership of the European Union is actually a lot worse than that, because this is the reason that the United Kingdom voted to leave the European Union.
But membership of the European Union is actually you give your sovereignty away to the European Union.
The European Union, the law of the European Union becomes sovereign over your own national law.
So then what Vladimir Putin will be confronted with, if Ukraine joins the European Union, is literally a sovereign, a satellite state of the European Union, where Brussels then becomes literally sovereign over that territory.
And that is, from everything we know about Vladimir Putin, that will simply not be acceptable.
steve bannon
Okay, Ben, I want you to hold right there.
Ben Harnwell in Rome.
I'll come back and ask you about these NGOs since you're getting blown up about that.
And Steve Cortez is going to hold.
Steve Cortez already went after the 12-year-old from Sweden.
We've got a couple of special guests.
They're going to join us on the other side of this to walk us through everything that's going on.
Also, talk about the early voting in Texas.
Massive showing for the GOP.
Tomorrow is the real deal.
We're going to be covering that at the Texas primary.
Got incredible polling about the collapse of the illegitimate Biden regime.
All of it next in The War Room.
unidentified
War Room.
Pandemic.
the ccd The epidemic is a demon and we cannot let this demon hide War Room.
Pandemic.
Here's your host, Stephen K. Bannon.
steve bannon

How are you going to get access to that?
You need your sleep, right?
You're going to man the Ramparts, you need a great night's sleep.

Go there today.
Support Mike Lindell, the Army Piercing Shell.
And of course, your humble servants here, the War Room Apparatus.
Cortez, Bill Ackman, and the Hedge Fund guys are piling in here.
They want regime change.
They're talking about, the Chicken Hawks are talking about military intervention.
In Ukraine.
Is that correct, sir?
steve cortes
Bill Ackman, hedge fund billionaire, put up a whole Twitter thread this morning where he says that it's time for the U.S.
to actually intervene.
So, he's going further.
I guess I'll give him some credit.
At least he's being a little more honest and blunt than some of his colleagues in the Davos set.
But he actually is calling for direct American intervention in Ukraine.
I would remind you, by the way, speaking of hedge funds... Hold it, hold it, hold it.
steve bannon
Slow down, slow down.
Stop, stop, stop.
Hold it, hold it.
They're already directing intervention.
We're already a direct intervention on economic warfare.
I want to be very specific.
Ackman and these chicken hawks are calling for direct military intervention in Ukraine.
Is that correct, sir?
Military intervention in Ukraine.
Is that correct?
Put American boys and girls into the bloodlands.
These are the killing fields, you know, Belarus.
That part of Poland, Ukraine, these are the killing fields of World War II.
By the way, Stalin starved 5 million Ukrainians, starved them to death in the 1930s, and then the Nazis killed 8 million people going one way, and the Russians killed 7 million the other way.
20 million people died.
I think within 10 years in the Ukraine, 20 million people brutally killed in that time.
This is a scale of barbarity and savagery the United States has no concept of.
Steve Cortez.
steve cortes
No, you make an incredibly important point, right?
Let's put this in historical context.
This is a region of ancient enmity in which thankfully America really has very little interest.
I would argue has no vital national interest in this region and yet In spite of that, over the weekend, you're so right.
What did we do?
We massively escalated the confrontation with the biggest nuclear power in the world, with Russia.
Over what?
Over what vital American interest?
We are instituting an unprecedented campaign to collapse a country's currency.
And let me give you an update on that.
As we're speaking here on the show, it's incredibly volatile, of course.
A lot of these markets are, but particularly Russian ones.
But the U.S.
dollar versus the ruble is now at 104.
Which means the ruble is down 25% on the day, which means the purchasing power of regular Russians is crashing right now, and that is just one day.
I would encourage the audience out there, by the way, if you want to pay attention to this crisis from a capital markets perspective.
A lot of the folks probably don't watch currency markets.
Watch dollar versus ruble.
I think if dollar versus ruble continues to maintain above 100, 100 rubles to the dollar, that is going to be the sign that this thing is remaining intensely hot and is likely to get even hotter.
I think that is a capital markets guidepost, a barometer for you to watch much the way I believe you should watch Taiwan's semiconductor, if you want to know what's going on regarding China and the risks of the CCP using this whole situation to take on the island of Taiwan.
So, to me, the two metrics to watch from the Pacific, TSM, Taiwan's semiconductor, TSM is the ticker.
Regarding the Black Sea situation, watch dollar versus ruble.
But also, just one quick note on the hedge fund billionaires.
The last time there was this kind of crisis economically in Russia was in 1998.
Long-term capital management, a name that a lot of folks out there have probably forgotten by now, but LTCM, which was supposed to be the biggest collection of geniuses in the history of finance, right?
LTCM, because of the Russian financial crisis of 1998, nearly brought the entire world's economy To total collapse.
We narrowly averted an absolute meltdown the last time this happened in Russia.
I fear that this kind of volatility, that we will find out this has the potential for a black swan kind of event again 24 years later where Russia could very well become the tripwire to economic and monetary and capital markets consequences that we are totally unprepared to accept.
steve bannon
By the way, the long-term capital management also got the active Fed.
Remember this whole thing, the banks had to come together, the guys that make up the Fed had to come together.
It was a catastrophe on such a tiny scale today, as you see what we've done with the Federal Reserve's balance sheet.
It's like talking about ancient history, but very...
Timely, as of today.
I want to also make a call to all the Millennials out there that are all, you know, all for this, all the Millennials here in the United States that are putting up on your social media.
You've got full opportunity.
Zelensky needs, he needs militia, he needs support.
Get on the trains, get on the planes, start heading into the Ukraine.
Bill Ackman's calling for direct military, American military intervention, instead of sending America's boys and girls over there in the military.
Right, instead of sending troops.
Why don't we have all the millennials that are so hot on this, up on social media, just get on a plane, get to Europe, get on a train, pour it in there.
unidentified
Zelensky is looking for, just go, go today, go do it.
steve bannon
Don't put up social media.
Yes, sir.
steve cortes
Consider the contrast here, because we are escalating massively, at the very same time the actual people involved, right, Zelensky, the Ukrainians, and the Russians, are at least considering a thaw, right?
They have sat down to negotiate today.
I think that's a great move.
I think it's one reason.
steve bannon
Well, well, well, hold it, hold it, hold it.
I disagree with that because Zelensky wouldn't have put out was he putting out the thing that he wants full immediate membership in the EU?
That's essentially that's what gets he said the quiet part out loud, didn't he?
steve cortes
I mean, yes, he did.
And by the way, that's a ridiculous canard of an excuse when he's literally fighting for the protection of his capital right now.
And that is, in my view, virtue signaling to the Davos crowd that, you know, I believe in you and I want to be one of you.
But here's the reality on the ground there, I think, and both sides realize this.
Both Putin and Zelensky.
They're both in an untenable position.
Zelensky knows he cannot defeat the Russian military, and Putin knows he cannot occupy all of Ukraine, certainly not central and western Ukraine.
So they are at a standoff right now where it makes sense for them to at least have discussions.
Now, will the discussions bear fruit?
Who knows?
And probably not, but it's well worth having these discussions.
My point is, they're acting actually rather reasonably.
The people involved, the people on the front lines, are acting at this point Cautiously and reasonably.
At the same time, the laptop warrior ruling class of Washington and New York and Paris and Brussels is massively escalating things and in my view creating a situation that could become so dangerous and so out of control economically that it does lead to kinetic war all over the world.
steve bannon
I want, I want the, all the millennials to bring out your inner Hemingway.
Bring out your inner Hemingway.
Just don't keep it to 144 characters.
Bring out your inner Hemingway and go volunteer.
Trains are open head and east.
I want to see all you guys line up and go over there safe so we don't have to send American, so Bill Ackman doesn't have to sit there and demand that Biden send American troops.
Ben Harnwell, real quickly on your, on your, on the, this is a somewhat caused, By the Potemkin Village NGOs of all this environmental stuff in Europe, because they've made Europe addicted to Russian energy, is that correct, sir?
ben harnwell
Yes, Steve, that was the thesis I outlined on the War Room on Saturday, that Vladimir Putin over the last 10 years has structurally been investing in Western NGOs, environmentalist NGOs, to cultivate and shape public opinion that would then increase these member states'
dependency on Russian gas and work against them arriving at energy security.
And I posted my thesis and I think five messages on Ghetto on Saturday.
This was picked up by Ron Filipkovsky, which you mentioned earlier.
It's now the hit that I had.
It's now had over 750,000 views.
steve bannon
By the way, I don't need to give the view count.
I share Ron's pain because your 12 minutes was... Real quickly, how do people get to you?
How do they read your thesis about this?
ben harnwell
It's Getter at Carnwell, Steve, and I'll be posting, I'll be updating that shortly with news that a recent investigation
The Foundation for Political Innovation has, and research that they have undertaken, has indicated that Gazprom was indeed funding environmental NGOs, and highlighted the example of Belgium, where the campaign successfully led to their abandoning their nuclear power programme.
steve bannon
Okay, perfect.
We'll get to that and hopefully have you back on tomorrow.
Ben Arnwell, thank you very much for watching on Getter.
He's putting up stuff all the time.
Let's go to the America Moments podcast, Molly McCann.
It's an extraordinary podcast.
She had a great piece on all this over the weekend.
Molly, we've got about a minute here.
We're gonna hold you through the break.
What's your assessment of where we stand, ma'am?
unidentified
We're in a very scary situation, Steve.
We have so many Americans who are being swept up in the emotion of the Ukrainians fighting for their freedom.
And I think not enough people understand that globalism and green energy, the pet projects of our sophisticated middle America, they have weakened us to the point where we aren't in much of a position To address the uprising or the conflict in Ukraine, and people have to understand America is weak right now, and we need to deescalate the situation as quickly as possible.
And so in my in my piece, the little subset article I wrote, I tried to explain how globalism and green energy have led to this issue, which we have to connect for middle America if we're going to survive this and why it's imperative that we sort of step back and take a breath.
Or we face, I fear we could face utter destruction as so many of your guests have already explained today.
steve bannon
Okay.
Molly McCann is going to join us after the break.
I got Steve Cortez.
We're going to get Lee Smith.
We got, we're going to cram a lot into, wow, got a half hour to go.
So we got a lot to get to.
We're going to get to it all.
Short commercial break.
We'll be back in Warren in just a moment.
unidentified
Thanks for watching!
Bring it on and I will fight to the end, just watch and see.
It's all started, everything's begun, and you are over Cause we're taking down the CCP Spread the word all through Hong Kong We will fight till they're all gone We rejoice when there is no more Let's take down the CCP They have all our- War Room Pandemic.
With Stephen K. Banham.
The epidemic is a demon and we cannot let this demon hide.
War Room.
Pandemic.
Here's your host, Stephen K. Banham.
steve bannon
Okay, welcome.
Make sure you go to MyPillow.com.

It's all free.
Go there today.
Join in to be a precinct committeeman.
Go to Naomi Walsh.
Find out how you can look to do these civil suits against these officials that are putting in vaccine mandates.
Go to, we're going to have the school board stuff up.
We've had so many guests we couldn't get to today because of breaking news, but I want to go to Claire Dooley.
On one of the overpasses, I think in Springfield, Missouri, the overpasses have greeted the truckers, the people's convoy across the country.
Claire, tell us what's going on, ma'am.
unidentified
Hi, right now we're in Springfield, Missouri, in between Big Cabin, Oklahoma, and the convoy is currently heading to Cuba, Missouri, to stay for the night.
Outside, we have The truckers haven't even come through yet, so they won't come through for another hour.
But let me just hop out real quick and show you guys what we're working with.
Already you have probably 200 people on this bridge.
Wow.
steve bannon
That's incredible.
Let's go back to her.
You don't need to see my lovely facade.
Let's go to the field.
Yep, that's perfect.
Claire, what is bringing people out?
Why are they coming out to wait hours to greet the truckers?
unidentified
So, the common consensus I'm getting from this entire convoy is that these people are standing up for their freedoms.
It doesn't matter Who they are or where they're from, what political background they have, their sexual orientation, their race.
We are seeing all people from all walks of life here on the ground moving with this convoy.
And every single one of them have said, it's enough.
We've had enough of the lockdowns.
We've had enough of them.
We've had enough of the government telling us what to do.
We need pharma out of our business.
And it's obvious that the government is not listening to the people, that they want their voices to be heard in this convoy.
And that's why they're traveling across the country.
And every single day, we see thousands of people on the side of the road for miles lined up.
On every single bridge on I-40, we've seen people.
And so it's obvious to me that the American people are fed up with what's going on.
steve bannon
I mean, did you expect when this thing first started ever to get to the level of intensity you see on these bridges?
Every overpass is crammed with people.
You've got 200 there in Springfield, Missouri, and you're an hour away from the convoy coming.
Did you ever anticipate this kind of self-organization of folks rallying to support the truckers?
unidentified
Yeah, I mean, from the beginning, we didn't really know what to expect.
And I remember the first few bridges we saw, the further we've gone along, the greater the numbers have increased.
And so, you know, the first bridge was maybe, you know, 20 people here and there on the first day.
And then the second day there was, you know, a hundred people on a bridge every now and then.
And now we're on day five and every single bridge we go through has people on it.
And even if we're in the middle of nowhere, there might be four or five people, but in more common areas, this is a common occurrence.
And it used to just be on the bridges, but now it's on the street, on the side of the interstate for about half a mile.
And after about half a mile, just full of people, the bridge is full and the side of the interstate is full of people.
We did not expect this whatsoever.
And now, given what we've seen, my expectations are that the further we go, the more and more people we will see on the side of the roads in support of the American convoy, the people convoy.
I.
steve bannon
Claire, how do people get to you?
How do they find out more about the PATH and how can they join and show up to a PASS, Overpass, or at least start to get some camaraderie here and some fellowship of the people that are supporting?
Where do they go?
unidentified
So, thepeoplesconvoy.com puts updates up every single day.
Also, I'm with Children's Health Defense TV and so on Children's Health Defense TV we go live every single day at 10 a.m.
Eastern and we update the routes because every single day depends on say a truck stop turns us down or a certain roadblock happens or a certain route doesn't work.
On Children's Health Defense TV we do live updates and let everybody know what's going on and where we're going to be going.
steve bannon
By the way, I just want to say, the New York Times did a complete hit piece on Bobby Kennedy Jr., who to me has been the rock of Gibraltar in this thing.
A total hit piece on him, getting his family to turn against him.
It's just, they don't know, they will go to any depth in order to stop this.
And the Children's Health Defense, I gotta tell you, you guys have just been incredible.
Children's Health Defense TV, Claire Dooley, thank you so much for joining us today, and thank you for the great work out there in the field.
unidentified
Thank you.
steve bannon
These are great people.
I gotta tell you, they're absolutely focused.
Okay, I want to go back to Molly McCann.
By the way, I think I got a breaking update from Steve Cortez.
Cortez, you got an update for me?
And then we'll go to Molly McCann.
steve cortes
Yes, well, listen, I just want to point out here that I really believe what we're doing with the dollar right now and what these hedge fund billionaires, by the way, are starting to root on.
And if we have the tweet, let's show that actually from Bill Ackman, because I want to be very specific here and quote him if I can.
He put a whole thread up this morning about the situation in Ukraine.
Do we have that post?
unidentified
No, we don't have it up yet.
steve cortes
Here's what he said.
He said, quote, we need to be prepared for what comes next, which means we need to start thinking about intervening militarily.
That is from hedge fund billionaire Bill Ackman.
So here's the thing that I want to point out to regular Americans, too.
Why this really matters to you economically, not just for the geostrategic interest of the United States, but why it matters to your pocketbook.
The United States has been the reserve currency of the world for three generations now, basically, since World War II.
And what does that really mean?
It means that the whole world wants to transact in dollars, whether it is an oil company in the Middle East or drug dealers in Mexico.
Everyone, of consequence, wants to transact in dollars, wants to hold dollars.
And that has allowed us in recent years To spend exorbitantly, to borrow beyond our means.
It has allowed us, because there is a luxury, there is a privilege of being the world's reserve currency, where we can get away with things effectively that other countries could not.
I fear that what we're doing right now, by kicking Russia off of SWIFT, by essentially debanking Russia, Is we are encouraging Russia and China foremost, but other countries as well, to as quickly as they can accelerate their plans to develop alternative systems that are either based on the yuan or on baskets of other currencies, but exclude the U.S.
dollar.
And I think the U.S.
dollar's supremacy is very much at risk here, the hegemony of king dollar.
I fear that when we look back historically, we will see this weekend as the time that King Dollar was indeed dethroned because of Joe Biden.
We won't know that for weeks, months, years ahead, but I really believe that that's possibly what is unfolding right now because of the absolute Policy errors that are being instituted by Biden, by his friends in the Davos crowd in Europe.
This is a very, very dangerous scenario we're in.
And again, dollar versus ruble is above 100 right now.
It is devaluing very, very rapidly.
This is a situation that could quickly spiral out of control.
steve bannon
Okay, I want to, the Zero Hedge article I just sent you that the stocks tied to China as the CCP's alternative to SWIFT are soaring on fire right now.
Here's my point about the dollar supremacy and being the prime reserve currency.
It's a dual-edged sword because there's a lot that goes with it.
If we were not the prime reserve currency, ladies and gentlemen, you ain't getting that $1.5 trillion deficit.
They're going to come to this bipartisan group hug that Pat Leahy and Shelby are going to do.
You don't do that because we would be Argentina.
It's a different deal.
People got to take it today because they need to transact.
Every transaction in the world has got to be converted into dollars.
OK, we'll talk about that more later.
I want to go back to Molly McCann, Molly of the America Moment podcast.
Molly, your piece.
Globalization, globalism, and this fanatical green program has got us into a situation that the United States is vulnerable.
You've got it on your sub-stack.
Give me a minute.
What do you mean by that?
unidentified
What I mean is the American people don't understand how globalism, globalism, the basic lie of globalism is that they hate sovereignty and they believe that we can have a global governance, which only works if everyone gets along with everyone else.
That's why you have the UN.
It has no teeth and we're all supposed to just submit to it anyway.
But the only way nations really work is through sovereignty, and inherent in sovereignty is the ability to coerce.
That's part of government, coercion.
And so I'm afraid that a majority of the American people don't understand that Russia and China are prime enemies.
They have not fallen to this lie that nations can only be in these governing situations rather than governance.
And so they don't understand our enemy and they don't see that this escalation, it can end in very, very bad places.
And of course, it already manifests itself through the climate change insanity in Europe, where they have given up their energy independence and left themselves completely open to Russian coercion and coercion, frankly, from anyone.
Who is energy independent.
So I think it's important that we connect for Americans how their favorite pet projects, climate change and energy and globalism, which so many people just think is harmless and chic and sophisticated, have actually left us in the position where we cannot help Ukraine in a peaceful manner.
We have very few options.
And as you're as Steve Cortez just mentioned, The loss of prime reserve currency is my greatest fear right now.
It would completely change everyone's lives.
We have to get that message out to good people in America who just aren't paying attention and are buying into these lies.
steve bannon
Molly, how do people get to your podcast?
unidentified
You can find me at America's Moment, find me on MollyMcCann.com and on Twitter and Getter at MolMcCann.
steve bannon
Thank you very much.
I want to bring in the great Lee Smith, one of the top investigative reporters running and the best to get into the bottom of the Russia hoax collusion.
Lee Smith tied it all on Tablet, the magazine.
Amazing piece by Lee Smith.
Lee, walk us through how we got here, sir.
lee smith
Thanks, Steve.
Look, I mean, this has been going on since the end of the Cold War.
The United States, as well as the EU, have not been able to figure out exactly what they think NATO is for.
Exactly how they want to deal with Vladimir Putin.
So it's a bunch of dangerous half measures that have used Ukraine as an instrument primarily to destabilize Vladimir Putin.
But also, as we've seen since 2016, to destabilize the US government.
It's important for people to recognize that Ukraine was the center of the Russiagate nonsense.
And then in July 2019, it was rolled into what became The impeachment of Donald Trump in the winter of 2019 and 2020.
So that's what we're watching unfold here.
It's not just about Putin.
It's not just about Volodymyr Zelensky.
It also has to do with the U.S.
national security establishment.
steve bannon
OK, so I don't want to, you know, people say Lee Smith's up here.
He's got a tinfoil hat on.
We got a minute here and then we'll hold you through the break.
Connect dots here.
Give me give me some hard evidence that this is just not wingnut speak.
lee smith
Yeah, let's go back to 2014.
What happened was when the EU offered Ukraine a trade deal, the Association Agreement, right?
They understood that the purpose of that was they thought they were going to poke at Putin without any risk at all.
Putin, when he heard about the Association Agreement, went nuts, told the then Ukrainian president, look, either accept my $15 billion Aid package or we're going to cripple you because the whole purpose at the time was to weaken the Russian economy.
That was the purpose of this cessation agreement.
At that point, when the then Ukrainian president was forced out of Kiev, sought refuge and won it in Moscow.
That's when the United States, that's when the John Kerry State Department with officials like Victoria Nuland went and helped assemble a new Ukrainian government.
What they've been doing the whole time is they've been playing with buffer state.
Ukraine has no power on its own.
It's supposed to be cultivating friendly relations with both the West and with Russia, not be used as a weapon or as a goad against Vladimir Putin.
steve bannon
Okay, we're going to take a short commercial break.
We're going to come back.
Steve Cortez.
We got Lee Smith.
Also, Lent is about to start.
We're going to talk about fasting and abstinence in Lent.
all next in the war room.
Okay, welcome back into the war room.
I want to go back to Lee Smith.
So, Lee, you sound like an apologist.
People could argue you sound like an apologist for Putin and the oligarchs.
Why are you not, sir?
lee smith
Yeah, well, two things.
First of all, I think it's important for your audience, whenever they put on a U.S.
national security official who's supposedly an expert in Putin or an expert in Ukraine, let's remember what these people have been doing for the last five years.
When Ambassador Michael McFaul starts telling us about Putin's intentions, Let's remember, this is the same lunatic who was selling us on Russiagate, right, that Putin wanted Trump in office, so that's what they did.
Look, the important thing is, objectively, it's the U.S.
national security establishment that's the problem, right?
What have they been doing since 2014 at least?
They've been sending Ukrainians out to fight Putin, right?
This is what's happening.
I'm not pro-Putin.
This is not a justification or a rationale for what Putin's doing.
I'm trying to explain here the responsibility of the national security establishment without having any strategic aims in mind at all.
And we've seen this unfold again since 2014.
That's what happened with Crimea.
That's part of the reason for what's going on right now.
Look, there's another very big important play here that's being obscured while people are concerned about Vladimir Putin, and this has to do with Beijing.
A lot of people are saying, well, Biden's weakness over Ukraine, how's that going to influence CCP thinking regarding Taiwan?
That has it backwards.
The important factor here is, with the Chinese lying about the origins of COVID-19, right, how it was transmitted, where and when it started.
This was effectively a release of a bioweapon with millions of people around the world, spread of sickness and disease. And what's the response two years later? World powers gather in Beijing, send athletic delegations to celebrate a regime of death, poverty, and destruction, right?
No one has held Beijing accountable for what they did two years ago.
That's what's influencing the thinking of our adversaries.
Again, this is the responsibility of the national security establishment of the United States.
And what have they done, right?
Instead, they've called the DOJ off investigating Chinese espionage here in the United States.
The Biden administration shares intelligence.
With the Chinese, which is passed on to the Russians.
So, there's a much bigger play going on here than just what we're seeing in Eastern Europe.
As gruesome and as ugly as this is.
steve bannon
Lee, how do people get to your Tablet Magazine article?
How do they get to you, and how do they buy the book about the coup against Trump?
lee smith
Yeah, check out Tablet Magazine.
The article's there.
They can follow me on Twitter, at LeeSmithDC.
Also, I hope you're on Truth Social.
You're getting on there.
If you are, it's again, at LeeSmithDC.
I'm The Permanent Coup.
This is my most recent book, and this has a very long chapter called Ukraine the Model, where actually I explain the backstory of what's happening now.
The book was published a year and a half ago, but there is an important chapter called Ukraine the Model that goes into details about what we've seen unfold over the last several months.
steve bannon
You're one of the best investigative reporters out there.
Lee Smith, thank you so much for coming on today.
Appreciate it.
I'm going to get back to Cortez in a second, but Wednesday is Ash Wednesday, the beginning of Lent.
There's a new book out called the Lenten Cookbook from the team at Sophia Institute, Sophia Press, and also Crisis Magazine, bringing Eric Sammons.
Eric, tell us, why is it important for fasting and prayer during Lent, and how is this cookbook going to help people?
unidentified
I think what's happened is a lot of Catholics today and Christians today have forgotten the importance of fasting.
Jesus Christ made it very clear that we all need to fast, especially when we have problems that we have in the world today.
Prayer and fasting is the only thing that can drive out certain types of demons, and I think this is Definitely a time in our history in which many demons need to be driven out and fasting is the way to do it.
But the problem is that fasting is hard, fasting is unknown, and so what this cookbook does is it basically lets people have a way that they know things they can make that are more simple, more easy to make as well, but a way that we can really engage in fasting in a way that's not Not unnecessarily difficult to get started.
I think that's the key, is once you get started and you're actually in a regimen of fasting, it can be something that becomes part of your life, but getting started is very difficult, and that's where this cookbook really sets you on the path to start fasting.
steve bannon
Real quickly, why is prayer and fasting so important?
unidentified
Well, our Lord told us very clearly that we can't do anything without God.
And so when we pray, what we're doing is we're basically saying, God, you're in charge.
You're going to direct things in the correct way.
We're not going to do it our way.
We're going to do it your way.
But the thing is, we're both body and soul.
So just praying in our head, for example, often isn't enough.
We have to incorporate our entire bodies into our prayer and that includes fasting because when we fast what happens is we recognize our utter dependence upon God that we need him or anything because think about it, if you don't eat for a certain amount of time eventually you're gonna die. You need to eat in order to survive.
By fasting that hunger reminds us, boy I need to count on God for everything even my daily bread, everything I eat and so that draws us closer to God and I think it really supercharges our prayer.
It's like a way to make our prayer more powerful by fasting, including fasting with it.
steve bannon
Eric, how do people get and find the book?
We're going to have you guys back on to drill down more on this whole thing about prayer and fasting.
We need it more than ever because we're in the middle of it right now.
How do people get to the cookbook?
unidentified
The best way to do it is just go to SophiaInstitute.com.
If you go to SophiaInstitute.com, the Lenten Cookbook's right on the homepage, or you can search for it on the website.
steve bannon
Sophia Institute, and by the way, Crisis Magazine is one of my favorites.
Eric, you guys do a great job.
unidentified
Thanks.
steve bannon
Sophia Institute, let's get it up everywhere.
Everybody take a look at this book.
We're going to be talking a lot more about prayer and fasting over the next couple of days because we need prayer right now.
Steve Cortez, closing analysis observation.
We've got about a minute.
steve cortes
Sure.
Steve, listen, the America First cause is at its really premise.
It is foundationally anti-war.
It's one of the big reasons that Donald Trump triumphed in 2016.
It's because of the needless interventions, the nation-building of both of his predecessors, Obama as well as George W. Bush.
We need to maintain that spirit right now.
The corporate media is going to try to convince the deplorables out there.
That if you detest war, and that if you question the regime's narrative, that that somehow makes you pro-Putin.
And that's a false choice.
We must reject that ridiculous binary choice.
No, we can recognize that Putin is a gangster and a thug, and at the same time, we can also assert that the United States should have a foreign policy of realism and restraint, and we should not unnecessarily interject ourselves into a regional struggle where America has no critical, vital national security interest.
steve bannon
How do people get you on social media, Cortez?
steve cortes
Follow me on the getter, please, at Steve.
Very simple.
Over on Twitter, until they kick me out, it's at Cortez Steve, Cortez with an S.
steve bannon
Cortez, amazing.
We didn't even get to the Rio Grande Valley, to all the polling, to a massive showing in early voting.
We're going to do all that tonight.
We're going to cram it all in.
Steve Cortez, thank you very much.
Victory begets victory, and we're winning everywhere, except in our national security and geopolitics.
