war, watching Ronald Reagan and Republicans talk about the Soviet Union eventually win the Cold War, this flips it all on its head.
It's disorienting to hear Republicans and self-described conservatives, although as you've said many times they're probably just Trumpists now, praise Russia, praise the dictatorial leader of Russia as he invades a sovereign country. And as Liz Cheney says, former President Donald Trump's adulation of Putin today, AIDS our enemy.
joe scarborough
Yeah.
unidentified
In the process of an invasion.
joe scarborough
AIDS are enemies.
Trump's interests don't align with the interests of the United States of America.
They do not.
Mike Pompeo's interests do not align with the interests of the United States of America or of the NATO alliance that we fought so hard as a country to continue to work together with.
You know, it's so unbelievable, Willie.
You actually have the House Republicans now, in the middle of the greatest crisis, European crisis regarding war since World War II, openly attacking and bashing the President of the United States, saying that he is, quote, weak.
He's weak.
This is what weakness looks like on the world stage.
House Republicans, you should bow your head in shame as we move into one of the great crises on the global stage since World War II.
You should bow your head in shame.
You're a disgrace to America.
Especially if you look at the fact that That you have the Russian Foreign Minister, one of the toughest diplomats on the world stage, Sergey Lavrov, who said he conceded NATO's unity.
Remember NATO that Donald Trump blew apart over the past four years when he was President of the United States?
Remember the NATO that he constantly ridiculed and mocked and said he was going to undermine?
The leaders of NATO in Germany, whether it was Angela Merkel in Britain, Theresa May, of course women, Of course, women.
Whether it was Macron in France, NATO was at its weakest point since its founding in the 1940s.
Lavrov conceded NATO's unity.
That's because Joe Biden has been working with allies, advising Putin this past weekend.
unidentified
Every Western representative has come together.
steve bannon
By the way, we had a seven minute cold open.
And I've got my wingman here, Eric Prince, had to come in today, schlepped in from Parts Unknown to come and join us today.
Right there is a stone-cold lie.
I can't take it.
A stone-cold lie.
Bow your heads in shame.
NATO was at its weakest when Donald J. Trump... Here's the reason.
The globalists let NATO not become an operational military alliance.
They don't put any money into their military.
Donald Trump made them stick up to the commitments they knew.
Self-imposed commitments of 2% of GDP for their defense.
And part of that would go into the common defense of the alliance.
None of these guys are doing it.
When Donald Trump came in, we did, in the first 90 days, we did, remember, we did a supplemental to the budget because under Biden and Obama, the operational tempo had decreased the military so badly.
$35 billion.
Ladies and gentlemen, that was as big as the entire defense budget.
of Germany, which the alliance is really predicated around.
Joe Scarborough doesn't know anything.
This guy is a complete bimbo, okay?
He's a hack country lawyer from, I don't know, southern Alabama, okay?
And he sits up there with Morning Mika.
He does not... Donald Trump made... forced these guys to put money into their military.
Okay, and we're not going to bow our heads.
The enemy is the invasion on the southern border and the existential threat to our nation, the Chinese Communist Party, of which your network kowtowed to and gave them billions of dollars to do the genocide games, and all you did was put up Elaine Gu, a traitor to her country, as the big superstar.
So do not lecture, do not lecture America First.
Do not lecture the Trump movement.
You guys, and here's the beauty, Hill's got it out today, we're expanding the map.
We're gonna win a 100-seat majority and then it's over.
Just get rid of Morning Joe, get rid of it all, okay?
Morning Mika.
But Scarborough particularly, you're a clown, you don't know what you're talking about, you have no earthly idea about anything about the military, you know why?
You never served, right?
I don't think any of your kids have ever served.
You're the typical kind of gutless coward who sits up there and yammers all the time with David Ignatius and Admiral Stavridis and all these very serious people.
Donald Trump made the alliance operational because he forced them, the deadbeats, to actually start to pay for their defense.
Eric Prince.
eric prince
They're still behaving like deadbeats because Germany would not even allow the UK, who was going to fly anti-tank missiles from the UK to Ukraine, to use German airspace.
Germany is still not even providing or spending 2%.
Not close to 2%.
steve bannon
They're spending nothing.
eric prince
Less than one and a half.
Germany does not even have 100 operational tanks anymore.
Norway, with a $900 billion sovereign wealth fund, they have a nice website that shows the numbers growing, spends 1.2% on their defense.
steve bannon
Because of the North Sea oil, they've got the largest and most profitable sovereign wealth fund in the world.
Nothing on defense.
eric prince
Zero.
steve bannon
Zip.
eric prince
Correct.
The point is, the so-called NATO alliance is failing.
steve bannon
Hold it, and they're up here on Capitol Hill right now.
You got Shelby, and you got Leahy, and we're going to have another defense increase.
Look, I'm as big a hawk as you get when it's on the right target, like the Chinese Communist Party or the cartels.
But we don't need an increase in defense.
What we need to do is start cutting them off from capital and from technology and playing their game.
We don't need, we don't need to ramp up another 5% when we're stone cold broke.
Talk to me what a joke NATO is, I mean really.
Remember the rotational, guys at NATO tell you the rotational goes once a quarter another, another country rotates through to kind of lead it.
And they all, Make sure they don't get it when they actually have to have exercises because then it's more money for them to be operational.
That's what deadbeats these guys are.
eric prince
The last time NATO did something was when they tried to overthrow Qaddafi and all those NATO air forces ran out of ability to air tank and to even arm their aircraft by the end of the third day.
So they literally have no, there's no there there.
NATO is an absolute farce.
It should not really even exist anymore.
NATO was formed to deter against the Soviet Union and Warsaw Pact.
It doesn't exist anymore.
And so all these countries have been freeloading on the United States and their defense spending reflects that.
steve bannon
And Putin.
Remember, I spent my youth on a Navy destroyer hunting Soviet submarines because they were a great enemy.
And by the way, everybody you see on TV, on MSNBC, all these guys were cheering on the Soviet Union.
They were against Reagan.
They were against the Pershing missiles.
They were against the defense build-up.
They were against our more aggressive posture.
They were against the economic warfare that took down the Soviet Union.
Every one of these gutless cowards today all were cheerleaders for the Soviet Union back then.
Eric Prince.
eric prince
After the humiliation of the Soviet Union collapsing, and really the humiliation of the Russian Empire, Putin is a traditionally trained KGB officer who grew up in the 80s.
steve bannon
He's a bad hombre.
eric prince
And he understands how to use power, and he saw that, and when he came to power around 2000, That was just after the second Chechen debacle, where they lost 15,000 troops.
unidentified
Okay?
eric prince
We lost 2,500 in Afghanistan over 20 years.
They lost 15,000 Russians fighting there.
In 2008, he embarked on some real military reform, and he has taken the Russian army to a place that they've not been before.
Significant reforms in mobility, in firepower, in integration, and even integrating air and land battle.
That would shock someone that would have thought that they would have done that 20 years ago.
steve bannon
Combined arms, right?
eric prince
Combined arms.
steve bannon
Which they never did.
Let's go to Chris Murphy, this town councilman from Connecticut's in the U.S.
Senate.
This is the thing, you get these bozos, right?
With no world experience, no military experience, never been anywhere, never done anything.
Town councilman of some shire in Connecticut.
Now he's some big thinking guy on the Senate Foreign Relations Committee.
He puts out a video.
The whole world starts for them.
With the collapse of the Soviet Union and Ukraine kind of coming out of there, this goes back thousands of years.
Putin's speech the other day, which was an adult talking to adults in Russia, Was equivalent of Xi giving you the 100 years of humiliation speech, right?
unidentified
Right.
steve bannon
Xi gives you the 100 years of humiliation from the signing of the Hong Kong Treaty in 1842 until they won, or the State Department, the same guys manning MSNBC, the commies in the State Department gave them China after the war in the Civil War when they stabbed Chiang Kai-shek in the back, right, in 1949, so that 100 years By the way, of course, in 2050, just a random number, the 100th anniversary of 2049 is when they want world hegemony.
She gives that all the time.
The 100 years of humiliation speech will never happen again.
That was essentially what Putin said the other day.
Am I correct?
eric prince
That's correct.
Khrushchev, who was the Soviet premier after Stalin, previously had been the head of the Communist Party of Ukraine.
steve bannon
And then when he was premier, he ended up... He's the commissar they sent to Stalingrad to say, shoot the generals.
We're not backing up an inch here, right?
Correct.
They sent him down for the heavy lifting in Stalingrad.
eric prince
Yes.
And in perspective, right?
Think about the U.S.
We tend to believe our own propaganda sometimes on who won World War II.
The Russians lost 22 million people defeating the Nazis.
unidentified
Yes.
eric prince
The United States lost 250,000 soldiers.
Now I'm not going to diminish any USGI service there, of course not.
unidentified
Super bravery.
eric prince
But for heaven's sakes, in the first three months of 1943, the Russians erased 25 divisions.
They lost 1.2 million people at Stalingrad alone.
They paid a price.
So when NATO, when Gorbachev and Reagan are talking at the end of the Cold War, And Reagan commits, we're not going to extend NATO east of where it is today.
And then a few years later, the Clinton administration goes back on that and extends NATO all the way to Poland, to the Baltics, all the rest.
For the Russians, the suffering that they had in World War II is literally burned into their genetics.
To have more unfriendly troops on their border than at any time since June of 1940?
I can see why they get ornery about that.
steve bannon
The NATO expansion, as bad as that is, it's the EU later trying to force into Ukraine and even having conversations about adding Ukraine to NATO.
That would be the equivalent, and correct me if I'm wrong, of China coming here and signing a defense pact with Mexico.
Signing a defense pact with Mexico right on our border and up in our grill.
Is that essentially the same?
eric prince
That's a very fair correlation.
And again, this is thousands of years of history.
When I mentioned Khrushchev giving those eastern parts in the Crimea to Ukraine then, because it was all part of the Soviet Union then, didn't really think it mattered.
It was all part of the Soviet Socialist Republic.
Not thinking that the USSR would collapse 30-40 years later.
That's what Putin is seeking to correct now.
I'm not making an excuse for it, but that is the Russian-speaking part of Ukraine.
And it's not our fight.
It's not the US's fight.
steve bannon
This is my point.
Fiona Hill And by the way, Media Matters, if you're going to take our segment, you've got to put it all in.
I called her an airhead, and I called Andrea Mitchell airhead.
Of the whole article you had about me and all the quotes, you took those two lines out.
Let me repeat it so you can get it.
Fiona Hill's an airhead.
Andrea Mitchell's an airhead.
Fiona Mitchell's selling.
Here's why it's important in Fiona Hill, the great Russian expert, the great expert in the KGB.
This is what she's selling.
Sovereignty of Ukraine and self-determination of Ukraine.
This is why the United States is going to get into a shooting war in the Ukraine.
Now, I haven't heard anybody talking about the self-determination of Tibet, the self-determination of Turkestan, the sovereignty of Hong Kong, the sovereignty of Taiwan, the territorial integrity of the South China Sea.
That is what is first and foremost among at the top of the list besides stopping the invasion on the southern border run by cartels.
This is what we have a two-front war on the southern border of the United States with the CCP's and back up with the fentanyl and on the Eurasian landmass with China and stopping them in the South China Sea and Silicon Valley West Taiwan.
Eric Prince.
Am I wrong there?
eric prince
Look, I gave the administration back in December an option.
If they wanted to defend Ukraine's sovereignty without having to involve any U.S.
forces, there was an easy way to do it, and it's a combination of Lend-Lease and the Flying Tigers.
Lend-Lease was used by the U.S.
to effectively help the Brits when they were at it with the Nazis in 1939 and 1940.
We gave them, we loaned them destroyers and tanks and aircraft and guns.
In the same way, the Biden administration could have done that for Ukraine.
There is 250 U.S.
combat aircraft being retired by the U.S.
Air Force this year, already been planned and programmed for, so they're fully depreciated, asset value of zero, going to be flown to the desert.
Instead, they could have flown 75 or 100 of those aircraft to Ukraine, rebadge them, put contractor or Ukrainian pilots in them, and given a massive aerial deterrence for a period of a year until this storm had passed without having to involve NATO or U.S.
forces, and a couple hundred million bucks.
That's it.
steve bannon
We're going to go to a short commercial break.
We've got Matthew Tierman in Paris.
We have our international editor Ben Harnwell in Rome.
We got Eric Prince in the studio.
I like it.
Eric Prince is kind of my setup man for this.
It's a whole different deal.
I like this.
Flying Tigers is an obsession of yours.
We'll get to that later.
Here's the question for the audience.
Do we have a dog in the fight, the sovereignty of Ukraine or the self-determination of Ukraine?
I hope Ukraine self-determines.
Go for it!
Not our fight, okay?
Morning, Joe.
Morning, Mika.
Another airhead, Joe Scarborough.
Yep!
The pride of the University of Alabama Law School.
unidentified
All next in... Between Russia and Ukraine, analysts are warning of further pain to an already struggling supply chain.
Frank Holland has what could be impacted the most.
Frank?
Hey there, David.
Aluminum and nickel hit multi-year highs today.
You see aluminum up more than 6%.
Palladium and platinum also surging higher.
Palladium up 13%.
Those commodities, they're crucial.
steve bannon
I can't, I can't, I can't take this.
I got a short trigger today.
I can't take, and this is the fear porn.
This is, it's not even gaslighting anymore.
It's not even intelligence.
Intelligent.
We had ABC the other day, CBS this morning, your food prices are going to go up, oil and gas, they're trying to cover the dumpster fire of the Biden campaign.
These are, as we said yesterday with Cortez, we have two created crises.
We have a financial economic crisis created by massive overspending.
Still, there's quantitative easing.
They're forcing liquidity into the market through the Fed.
You've got $30 trillion of debt on the books of the United States.
You've got another $9 trillion on the Fed.
They haven't raised interest rates.
They haven't stopped infusing cash into the system.
They've got a spending bill up here, you're going to see in a week, they're going to have a group hug with Leahy and Shelby that's going to have a $1.5 trillion annual deficit in it, as far as the eye can see, in perpetuity.
Oh, and by the way, let's give a 5% increase to the defense budget and we'll give another 5% to all the social justice warrior crap that we spend our money on.
So we just bury future generations because you're paying for it, okay?
They're not paying for it, you're paying for it.
You got that?
Then you have the creative crisis of the boogeyman Putin in these eastern, Russian-speaking eastern provinces that the whole world's supposed to roll around because they're sitting there, the same people impeached Trump the first time.
It's the self-determination of the Ukrainian people.
It's the sovereignty of the Ukrainian people.
Hey, where's the self-determination of Tibet and Turkestan and Hong Kong and Taiwan of the existential threat that's everywhere, including All over NBC and MSNBC, not one peep during the genocide games about the brutality of this criminal dictatorship over Lao Bai Jing.
They're gutless, they take money from them, they're corrupt, and they're trying to force you to focus on a country that's got an economy the size of New York State, it's in demographic death spiral, They're bad guys, they're KGB guys, don't get me wrong, they're bad guys.
But to go to what Erik Prince said, I think in World War II?
Joe Stalin, who is as bad as Hitler, as bad, maybe worse than Hitler, right?
He was our buddy, Uncle Joe, because guess what?
We had to bleed out the Wehrmacht out in the East.
Barbarossa was the war, right?
Not Western Europe, it was Eastern Europe.
That 22 million dead, siege of Leningrad, siege of Moscow, siege of Stalingrad.
A war on a scale... Kursk, the biggest tank battle in history?
eric prince
6,000 tanks.
6,000 tanks!
unidentified
I don't know if we had 6,000 tanks in the U.S.
steve bannon
Army at that time.
Look, the bravery and valor of American troops in the Pacific and in Europe cannot and will never be questioned.
We're talking about scale.
You know, the 8th Air Force bombed Germany, the industrial strength, with precision daylight bombing.
Go see 12 o'clock high.
When the Brits wouldn't go in the day, only the Americans would go during the day.
We bombed them in submission in Japan.
Right, the nuclear weapons icing on the cake, what Curtis LeMay and those guys did, the firebombing of Tokyo, the firebombing of Osaka and the industrial base there.
eric prince
Of pretty much every industrial city.
steve bannon
Every industrial city, going in low.
The heroism of American troops, it can never and will never be questioned, the valor of it.
But when you talk about scale, The scale was, I think the Chinese took 40 million casualties, right?
Of course, half of them were fighting each other, but the Russians, the Russians, the Russian people were allied.
eric prince
Fully industrial mobilization of every aspect of the society.
steve bannon
I want to get something else up here.
MSNBC, first of all, we're not an ally of Ukraine.
We're not, we've never been an ally of Ukraine.
You couldn't get an alliance passed on the Ukraine.
We're not an ally of Ukraine.
Keep saying ally, ally.
We're not, you got this Minx Accord and this stuff kind of bouncing around.
We're not an ally.
They're not an ally.
Also, one thing for history, just note, We did not declare war on Adolf Hitler.
I want people to understand, just like the Nazis.
The sneak attack happened on December 7th of Sunday.
Roosevelt goes to Congress the next day and declares war on the Imperial Japan.
Two days later, Hitler declares war on us because of a secret treaty he had with the Japanese, and we declared war on him that afternoon because he declared war on us.
There wasn't even enough focus in the United States on getting into, guess what, wait for it, another European war, right?
Because when you looked at the war from that perspective, and this was a long time before people understood about the Holocaust, they knew bad things were happening, American people looked and they saw Leningrad under St.
Petersburg, under Leningrad under siege, Moscow under siege, Stalingrad.
They saw this massive war, guess what, in basically Eurasia.
And that's not an American fight.
It's just not an American fight.
Hitler declared war on us because of his treaty with Japan and then, wait for it, MSNBC and Morning Joe, then We, as a pro-former, declared war on him.
Just always remember that.
They're trying to spin history in every way.
Putin's speech, the 100-year humiliation, what are your thoughts on it?
And do you think, if first of all he made a statement and then we get Matthew Tierman in Paris, Ben Haraway in Rome, he makes a point that, hey, you guys in the West, you listen to the media, Ukraine's not even a country.
It's kind of a concept.
It's not even a country.
So when you talk about sovereignty and self-determination, it's just a corrupt area where the Clintons have turned into a colony where they can steal money out of.
eric prince
Look, Putin is Mr. Ten Percent.
He has achieved more wealth.
He probably is the wealthiest man in the world, no question.
steve bannon
Spiff off the top.
Carried interest in everything.
eric prince
Mr. Ten Percent carried interest in everything in Russia.
Uh, but he, you know, now he is trying to behave more like a Peter the Great to put a Russian empire back together.
What he really seeks for Russia is respect, commanding respect.
He's been asking, I think now he's commanding respect, and he's going to remind Europe where their energy supply comes from you know going back to to NATO supposedly being serious about this again Germany in December shut down three perfectly functioning nuclear power plants because of their pursuit of their green energy mandate So they shut off functioning energy supplies in the in the face of this so-called presence by the Russians in Ukraine
Look, so the Europeans are not going to do any kind of serious sanctions against Russia because they need the energy, period.
unidentified
There's not enough windmills and solar panels.
steve bannon
They already put it on hold.
You think that's all happy talk?
I think that's taboo.
eric prince
That's noise.
steve bannon
That's noise?
Okay, that's great.
Let's go to Paris.
Matthew Tierman, Matthew, your knowledge of Poland, your knowledge of Eastern Europe, is Ukraine really a sovereign country?
Is Putin right?
He's saying, hey, it's kind of a territory that was given over to the Communists, you know, and it's really rightfully, part of it's rightfully Russia's.
Matthew Tierman.
matthew tyrmand
That is not black or white.
That is 1,200 plus years of deep nuance of Central and Eastern Europe, different tribes, different Slavic tribes that wandered all over those regions.
Kiev was a center of a nation.
If you talk to Ukrainians, yes, they have a country.
But if you go back, you know, 60, 70, 80 years, Lviv, which is the third largest city in Ukraine, was a Polish city.
And it was all before that it was part of the Austro-Hungarian Empire.
So yes, it is somewhat cobbled together.
I don't think there's much debate that the the regions that we are now looking at with with our gaze all over the world toward and Donbass and Kharkiv, they are Russians there.
This was the the Russian near abroad.
It was certainly culturally Russian.
There is cultural Ukrainians.
There are Ukrainian nationalist movements.
So these things are not nuanced.
Stalin's perception on what was Russian, what was Ukrainian, is just as accurate or valid as his conception of why he entered the war.
And he wanted to fight this war because he wanted to spread the next generation of Bolshevism.
And his view was you could throw as many Russians at Western bullets as needed to absorb them.
Their view on human rights has never been all that enlightened.
This is not an enlightenment classical liberal nation or society.
You can go back to 19th century Russian literature and see the Russian soul.
It is not, you know, French, British, even Germanic view of human governance.
But the country that now exists in Ukraine is a mess.
It will be chopped up.
There will be a referendum.
And Putin's going to suffer for this.
He forced his hand, the White House, the State Department.
I don't think he wanted to go in and redraw this map.
Donbass and Kharkiv are lost leaders, much like Crimea has been.
Now he has to pay for it.
You broke it, you bought it.
Now we're going to redraw the map lines, they're going to hold a referendum, they're going to want to be part of greater Russia, and now he has to pay the pensioners pensions, which he cannot afford.
Especially he cannot afford with Nord Stream 2, which I disagree with Eric, Nord Stream 2 is not coming online. Germany, if they want to be part of the more Europe cohesion, they're going to have to get in bed with Biden and the rest of the Brussels globalist crew, and they're going to have to let it go, which is actually very much in line with half of this German government.
The foreign minister, Baerbock, has agreed.
Her number one agenda point was to also block out and sabotage Nord Stream 2.
So it's a lot more complicated than just this.
steve bannon
President Trump is sitting there saying that Biden's getting played.
Before we go back to Eric, what's your assessment of the illegitimate Biden regime's handling of this, Matthew Tierman?
matthew tyrmand
They're wagging the dog.
They're absolutely wagging the dog.
They need to cover up.
Uh, this incredibly incompetent administration.
CBS News is running interference, inflation, oil costs, supply chain.
This was botched during COVID.
This was botched during their own corruption, their own green energy mandates, the shutting down of the American energy complex so that we bring back Oltec, which is absolutely dead.
They, they're wagging the dog.
And you know what?
The right, the coverage from the far right is also off.
When Tucker says it's just a Russian province, that's way too simplistic.
The fact is, it has been since 1989 and 90, a buffer between Russia and between the NATO countries.
And we can talk about the ineffectuality of NATO and all the free riders, you know, up until Trump.
And that was a very good point you made, that NATO only had five constituent members paying the statutory minimum of 2%.
the US, the UK, Poland, and then...
Jokingly, Greece and Estonia.
And that 2% is measured in military equipment.
And not necessarily modern military equipment.
Greece does not have modern military equipment.
Well, Trump made a very smart, astute businessman bluff.
And he now immediately drew it up to 8.
steve bannon
And strengthened NATO.
Matthew, hang on for one second.
We're going to come back to Paris and Matthew Tierman.
We've got Eric Prince in the studio.
We've got Ben Harnwell in...
In Rome, we got truckers out in Barstow.
Big morning here in the War Room.
unidentified
Be back in a moment.
War Room.
Pandemic.
steve bannon
With Stephen K. Bannon.
unidentified
The epidemic is a demon and we cannot let this demon hide.
War Room.
Pandemic.
Here's your host, Stephen K. Bannon.
steve bannon
Welcome back.
Let's go to Rome and Ben Harnaw.
Ben, here you've got, it's non-stop fear porn.
It's non-stop, we're going to war.
This is Biden's Cuban Missile Crisis.
This is the Cuban Missile Crisis.
They're all running around to important meetings.
Andrea Mitchell sitting there breathlessly reporting on this.
You know, you've got Joanne Reed, can't get enough of that.
She's just, they're on it non-stop.
You got Nicole Wallace.
Who's part of the war criminals of the Bush administration for lying about the Iraq war.
She's that got her deal now.
This is taking over the January since they don't have anything on the 6th January Commission to show they have to do something else to get people's attention diverted.
This is not even gaslighting.
This is full-on propaganda war right to make this like the biggest thing in the world and the same guys that impeach Trump.
Vindman, Fiona Hill, all the witnesses are all on MSNBC.
The Ambassador, they're up there non-stop, right?
Constantly.
It's full Wag the Dog.
This is Wag the Dog, now Wag the Markets, because guess what?
Don't believe your lying eyes about your food prices and your gas prices.
It was not caused by, created by their incompetence.
It's caused by the Ukraine.
It's caused by Putin in the eastern provinces of Ukraine.
That's stopping the breadbasket.
Food prices are going to go up because of Putin in the eastern provinces of Ukraine.
Oil prices are going to go up because they've stopped the natural gas pipeline, which is 3% of world output.
Come on, give me a break.
It's not even online.
These are not, they're treating you like fools, and here's the beauty of it.
The Hill has an article today about we're expanding the map to win 100 seats in the House, 100 seat majority.
Working class Hispanics in the Rio Grande Valley and in South Texas and African American men throughout this country, the great Royce White and these people, they don't care about Russian-speaking provinces and their self-determination or their sovereignty, that's for Brussels to work out, that's for Berlin to work out, that's for Moscow to work out, that's for Kiev to work out, that's for Paris to work out, that's for the Vatican.
Have at it guys! That's what I said yesterday.
You want to see the white supremacist?
It's the Atlanticist.
It's the Boston Cambridge, New York City, Washington D.C.
It's all Northwest Europe.
It's all about Europe.
The whole world revolves around that.
Well, guess what?
The people that founded this country gave them the bird back in, what, 1776.
The world does not revolve around you.
We're a Pacific power.
The existential threat we face is a criminal regime in Beijing, okay?
That NBC and MSNBC just kowtowed to and gave them billions of dollars and then took a trader, Aileen Gu, who's a trader, to her country and made her the rock star of the Olympics.
eric prince
$30 million of endorsements.
steve bannon
$30 million in endorsements.
Think of the craveness.
By the way, this is what I love about this.
Come November, woke companies, come November, new sheriffs in town.
And you can try to throw all the money you want to McCarthy.
unidentified
No, no, no, no, no, no.
steve bannon
Not going to work.
You support traitors, you're going to be treated like a traitor, okay?
The eastern provinces of, you know, this is sovereignty and self-determination.
They said they were so, you know, the sovereignty and the self-determination.
And they got the guy, Staff Redis, the Supreme Allied Commander of NATO.
The Supreme Allied, hang on for one second, let's get...
NATO, I think the analysis was, could put up two and a half combat divisions.
Is that optimistic?
Of the whole, this is outside the United States, the whole shooting match would be two and a half combat divisions.
eric prince
On paper, and that's if they could actually deploy it, let alone sustain it in combat operations.
steve bannon
No operational effectiveness.
This is what Trump said.
You've got to start paying your freight.
He says, I like a military alliance where we're not paying for everything.
The 5% increase you're going to see from Shelby and Leahy that you're paying for, the 5% increase, is more than two-thirds of the countries of NATO in total.
This is just the increase.
And let me tell you something, ladies and gentlemen, it's an accounting trick.
The defense budget is a trillion dollars.
It's a trillion dollars.
They say it's only 800 billion.
That's all, you take all, everything, if you counted every different cabinet position.
eric prince
Defense, intelligence, and you throw in their Department of Energy with all the management of all the nuclear weapons.
steve bannon
Trillion dollars?
eric prince
Easy.
steve bannon
One trillion.
Plus the VA?
Let me just do an analysis here.
You know, we have a trillion dollar Deficit in perpetuity.
Remember, when the Fed prints money, it's the full faith inquiry.
This is a scam.
They won't raise taxes on the wealthy.
They can't sell the bonds to Japan into China.
So how's it get paid for?
We just print money.
The full faith inquiry of the United States is on your back.
It's the deplorables.
It's you, it's your sons, your daughters, your grandchildren.
They're going to pay for it.
This is a scam of monumental proportions.
And every day they sit there and hump it.
Tierman, you know Poland.
Poland's part of NATO now.
And by the way, God bless the Poles.
I love them.
The other guys pay 2%.
I think they pay 2%.
The Poles show up and say, hey, the deal says 2%.
We pay 2%, right?
And they're one of the countries that can least afford it.
All these other deadbeats.
And do I hear France and Germany?
Deadbeats.
eric prince
Norway?
steve bannon
By the way, sitting on a trillion dollars, a trillion dollar sovereign wealth fund that's cranking up, what, I don't know, 12% a year?
And I love the Norwegians, I love me some Norway.
But you gotta throw something into the kitty, right?
Not just defending Norway, you're supposed to defend the whole thing.
By the way, they're talking about, oh, Sweden!
Sweden and Finland are thinking of coming.
Hey, dude, bring a check, okay?
You're gonna come bring some money.
By the way, here's what Trump used to blow them up.
Trump would sit there and go, hey, look, no offense, it's 2%, but it's also 2% from the day you agreed to it.
I think it was like eight years ago.
It accumulates.
You should see Merkel.
Merkel's face dropped.
She goes, what are you talking about?
He goes, no, no, no.
It's like accrued rent.
And they went nuts and go, no, no, the document just says 2%.
If we skip it and Trump goes, no.
eric prince
Any finance guy looks at the current value.
steve bannon
He goes, hey, look.
He says, no, no, no.
You've been paying 1%.
You're supposed to pay 2%.
So let's go back, and I think it's $150 billion.
Here's what the Germans, here's what the response was.
Mr. Bannon, you don't understand.
Our Constitution says we have to have a balanced budget.
I go, dude, we wrote your freaking Constitution when we threw the Nazis out.
Don't tell me about the Constitution.
We would love to have a balanced budget.
We'd love to have a balanced budget amendment.
Oh, we can't do it.
Our Constitution, I said, we wrote it after we blew you guys out of the water and saved the world, okay?
With our allies, wait for it, our allies, wait for it, the Russian people.
Who gave 22 million dead.
Hey, they're all over, all these guys, these militias here in the United States, all these guys.
Talk about the neo-Nazis.
In Ukraine, I hate to bring up a sore subject, but on the way across, they killed 8 million people.
A lot of them were working with the Wehrmacht and the Waffen-SS, okay?
Now, the Russians killed 7 million, coming back around, so 15 million died.
They gave as good as they got.
But let's be blunt, if you want to talk truth about history, the guys that we're defending have not just fascist roots, these were guys that were allied with the Waffen-SS and the Wehrmacht on the way across Ukraine.
Am I wrong in that?
eric prince
Not just the SS, the Deathshead Corps, the guys that ran the camps and committed unbelievable atrocities.
steve bannon
Matthew Tierman, that's a topic that doesn't get brought up in the salons of Brussels or MSNBC.
Hey, Joanne Reid, you want to lead your show today?
Ari Melber, why don't you lead today and talk about the self-determination and sovereignty, the history of the folks that we're doing it for.
Matthew Tierman.
matthew tyrmand
You're 100% right.
There's the Bolin Massacre, nobody talks about that.
There's Stepan Bandera, a fascist nationalist, who most in Ukraine extol as a patron saint, a secular patron saint warrior, who is killing everybody in his path.
That being said, there is a Ukrainian culture and Ukrainian history that does exist, and the whole country should not be carved up in the apportioned back to Poland, apportioned to Russia.
There is some territorial integrity, but I agree.
It is not really a fight.
It worked as a buffer zone.
There's going to be a referendum in Donbass.
It's going back to Russia.
They're going to try and buffer their Crimea.
Their Crimea is a huge loss for them.
They have no overland route to supply it.
So they're going to go after that land bridge between Krasnodar and Crimea and the city of Maripol.
That's going to happen.
But NATO is going to do nothing about it.
NATO is totally defanged.
It has nothing but a bunch of technocrats who love to spin off little mini contracts to their friends in the military industrial complex.
I was there in 2016 when they had the NATO convention in Warsaw.
That was when I was working with you on Breitbart London and I put up billboards all over Warsaw for Clinton cash and it was like a DC salon just theoretical conversations, nothing concrete, nothing came of it. It was the most navel-gazing thing I've ever been a part of.
I knew what I was going into when I went in but I mean it was even Chuck Madeline Albright when the opposition was hanging around taking photos. The whole thing was a joke.
steve bannon
Putin called out.
It's a comedy for the Clintons.
Matthew, you would appreciate this, and I know you know this.
Trump goes over for the new NATO building, and they spent $1 billion, $1 billion on this glass and this modern tech, and Trump's sitting there going, I thought it was a military headquarters.
What happens if you take an incoming?
And they're like, what are you talking about?
It's a military alliance, but they don't.
It's really a bureaucracy.
Right, they built a $1 billion headquarters you could take out with one missile.
eric prince
Another self-reinforcing ice cream cone.
You know, when NATO was getting after the Serbs, little known fact, Serbian special forces actually had a plan to infiltrate Western Europe with trucks carrying 122mm Grad rockets to attack NATO headquarters, Paris, Berlin, to push back.
Ultimately, the Serb leadership balked, but that almost happened, and that would have truly caused NATO to drop its trousers.
steve bannon
Unbelievable.
Matthew, Jeremy, remember about the headquarters, right?
The billion-dollar headquarters of Trump sitting there going, why are we spending, how much are you guys kicking in?
matthew tyrmand
Will anybody be surprised when Jen Stoltenberg, who's been running it, goes and gets a nice big fellowship at the Atlantic Council, or SAIS, or SIPA?
This is the kind of people who are running this, just like these kind of people who their defense ministers in Germany and Scandinavia are, you know, middle-aged women who have never actually, you know, even taken a judo class.
unidentified
Let alone done deep study of advanced military weapons systems.
matthew tyrmand
I mean, the whole thing is a paper tiger.
I do want to point out one thing about Kiev.
Kiev is 100% calm.
There is literally, by friends on the ground, life is going on like, you know what?
Donbass, Kharkiv, Luhansk, they've been under Russian separatist control since 2014.
They don't even notice it.
unidentified
You know what the one difference in Kiev is over the last two or three weeks?
matthew tyrmand
They moved the U.S.
and the U.K.
embassies to live a little closer to the Polish border.
That's it.
And why?
The U.K., much like the U.S., needs to wag the dog because Boris Johnson's on fire.
After he got caught being a hypocrite, you know, like Garcetti and like Gavin Newsom.
So now he also has to, you know, shift the news narrative.
I was just in London for the last three days.
Nobody's wearing masks.
Disappeared overnight.
Trust the science.
In France, they're still wearing masks.
None of this is all cartoonish and narrative setting.
steve bannon
That's all it is.
Matthew, how do people follow you on Getter and your other social media?
Because you're putting up stuff all day long.
And also Twitter.
Some hot stuff about Ohio.
matthew tyrmand
Yeah, I'm Matthew Teremont.
I'm a TTHEW2IRMND on Twitter.
I'm suspended on Twitter.
MSNBC called me a Nazi.
I called the quote-unquote journalist a retard.
Apparently that was hate speech.
So I've been suspended for a week.
I come back online pissing vinegar real angry tomorrow.
steve bannon
I did want to mention that Ann Applebaum is on every day on MSNBC, because I know that would trigger you, Matthew Tierman.
So, anyway, we're keeping score.
matthew tyrmand
Thank you very much.
I was at her book launch for her Ukrainian book, The Ukrainian Institute of America in the East Village, a couple of years ago, and she tried to have me removed, screaming, Russian agent, Putin troll.
These people are on a binge.
steve bannon
Tierman, thank you so much.
Harden, we'll get in here, we've got about a minute before we go to break.
To Tierman's point, is this, you've got panic, you've got fear porn non-stop here in the United States on MSNBC, CNN.
What's happening over in Europe in the media?
ben harnwell
Morning Steve, morning Eric and Matthew.
Yeah, well basically, as far as the war drum beats are going, it's pretty much silence.
The main focus seems to be on the sliding scale sanctions that the European countries are going to implement and of course the reason fundamentally for this is unlike the United States what we have here are in occupied Europe basically Potemkin militaries we don't really have that much that we can put down on the table to do a serious confrontation with Russia and we can't afford it either.
steve bannon
Yeah hang on hang on one second We're taking a short break.
When we come back, Dr. Mullen is going to join us for a minute.
We've got Eric Prince for the entire show.
Remember, in the War Room, we say Kiev.
This new, this new thing they come up with, the Ukrainian language that was created a couple of years ago?
unidentified
No.
steve bannon
The country is called Ukraine, and the capital is Kiev.
unidentified
Okay?
steve bannon
K-I-E-V.
So Media Matters, Mediaite, suck on that.
Be back in a moment.
unidentified

Really tragic news overnight.
We're going to have Dr. Malone in here in a second to talk about data and COVID and everything like that.
But it's got to bring up a true American hero and a patriot passed away overnight.
eric prince
Yeah, Steve, I was shocked to get a message this morning from Rich Higgins' wife.
He had been fighting a long battle.
He'd fought COVID and from complications almost a year ago had blockages which caused his intestines to die.
And he'd been living a rough existence since then, but he had a transplant about two weeks ago, and he just had a surgery two days ago to close his abdominal wall.
The doctors were very optimistic.
I actually texted with him yesterday.
And then shocked to hear to get a message from his wife that he died suddenly last night So peace be with him and his entire family.
He was a great warrior and patriot.
He is an army EOD veteran and expert and a great student and Reformer of how the US military does business and and particularly speaking to the threats of the deep state and the Muslim Brotherhood and all those foreign insidious influences in Washington.
steve bannon
This is one of the most important guys about deconstructing the administrative state.
He wrote a memo in the White House in April of 2017 that eventually led to McMaster's and the and the cabal in there and he basically the memo outed who the cabal was including Naming the whole team that was going to be the people that impeached President Trump, right?
The whistleblower and all of it.
Rich Higgins was on it.
He was on the National Security Council.
He was a hero patriot.
Wrote a memo later.
McMaster's and these guys forced him out about 90 days later.
That memo is still to me the primal document to show exactly how the Obama-Bush and administrative state apparatus from the very beginning tried to nullify the 2016 election.
Okay, try not to, listen, how different would the world be if we had Russia actually as an ally with Western Europe against the Chinese Communist Party?
Right now you have, remember, American foreign policy since 1914, that both parties have signed off on, have been we will never allow a single power collection of powers to consolidate the Eurasian landmass.
Mackinder 101, okay?
Now you have the Chinese Communist Party with One Belt, One Road, the East India Company model, with the mini-me in North Korea, you've got Pakistan, you've got the mullahs in Persia, you've got Afghanistan now, you've got ISIS, you've got Turkey, and now you have Russia.
That's a pretty solid lineup, okay?
We need Russia on our side of the football, Eric.
And by the way, Rich Higgins knew this, and Rich Higgins knew how the administrative state, being Atlanticist, white supremacist Atlanticist, only think of Northwest Europe and certain elements of the Atlantic seaboard, Boston, New York City, and Washington D.C.
eric prince
If the left had not been able to push the lie of Trump-Russia electoral collusion, Trump could have made a deal with Putin because culturally, Russia, we have a lot more in common with them than the United States does with India or China or Japan or Korea or any of the rest of Asia.
steve bannon
Well, now we get down to it.
Traditional America, real America, America does, but not woke America.
Woke America.
Remember, all these people that are against Putin today were all the biggest cheerleaders for the Soviet Union.
They're the ones that fought Ronald Reagan.
They were the guys in the State Department in the 50s, the guys that sold us out in China, the guys that fought nuclear weapons expansion, the Pershing missile.
Hey, when Reagan first came, he had three million people in Central Park, a million people here.
Don't buy for a second.
Don't buy for a second.
They're looking out for the betterment of America, okay?
They flipped on- they were the biggest cheerleaders of the Soviet Union, right?
Remember, Teddy Kennedy sent the thing to the- in 1978, Teddy Kennedy sent a note to the ambassador of- Russian's ambassador to the United States, how can we help you?
Defeat Ronald Reagan.
Because Ronald Reagan's the most dangerous guy in America.
This was Teddy Kennedy in the Liberal Democrats.
And the reason that... Putin ain't woke.
He is anti-woke.
eric prince
The Russians people still know which bathroom to use.
steve bannon
They know how many, how many genders are there in Russia?
eric prince
Two.
steve bannon
Okay.
That's all of a sudden, that's, that's, that's not, that's not, they don't have the flags, they don't have the pride flags outside on their, on their... They don't have boys swimming in girls' college swim meets.
How backward.
eric prince
It's embarrassing.
steve bannon
How savage.
How medieval.
How medieval.
This is why, this whole thing's a scam.
It's a total and complete scam.
And here's the beauty of it.
We just want to get Malone on here at the top of the hour.
Here's what's going to happen.
They're going to get down.
You're seeing the end of the Democratic Party.
If we focus on November 8th, and here's how we shatter it, because right now every number is coming our way.
We're expanding the map.
In the House, we get a 100-seat majority.
We can do this.
You shatter it forever.
Part of it, the Omar and Squad part, will be like the Greens in Europe, the progressive part.
And then you're going to have a neoliberal, neocon kind of blob in the middle, kind of like the liberal party in the UK.
Cheney and Bolton, these guys will be on the right, and Hillary Clinton, those guys will be on the left.
But it'll be the neocon neoliberal Atlanticist.
Statists.
And then you're gonna have a right-wing populist nationalist party that will have two-thirds of the votes in this nation, including 55% of the Hispanic vote, 50% of the African-American male vote.
We will dominate for 100 years.
eric prince
But then we must govern effectively, then, and start to starve the beast.
steve bannon
I want to introduce our new Secretary of Defense, Eric Prince.
I want to be there for the confirmation hearing, Eric Prince.
No, dude, you're going to be there.
Cash Patel is your deputy, Undersecretary Cash Patel.
Export Selection
