| The argument has been, it's not just about testing positive, it's whether or not you get so sick, you need to be hospitalized. | ||
| So when people read that headline, that hospitalizations are up 80%, but at the same time, all sorts of people in hospitals who are testing positive aren't there for COVID, they're there for other reasons. | ||
| Yeah, so, say you're a cancer patient, like some of my patients, you then, you know, might get COVID, but you're in Because you need surgery or because you need chemotherapy or for some other reason. | ||
| So you're positive for COVID, but that's not bringing you in. | ||
| It's not causing symptoms. | ||
| It's not causing serious illness. | ||
| That is we call it a primary Diagnosis, that's cancer. | ||
| A secondary or tertiary diagnosis, incidental to the admission. | ||
| So what's really threatening or really needs attention is your cancer, not your COVID. | ||
| This is actually quite common with lots of other diseases. | ||
| You might come on with heart disease, you also have diabetes, but that doesn't mean the diabetes caused you to come into the hospital. | ||
| But it's another sign that Omicron is becoming omnipresent in our lives. | ||
| Given that, do we need to start accepting it as our new normal, perhaps changing our restrictions, our quarantine rules? | ||

| You announced last night that you're going to support a law passed last month in New York City which will allow roughly 800,000 legal non-citizens to vote in local elections provided that they've lived in New York for at least 30 days. | ||

| And express concern about giving a right to vote to non-citizens who've only been here for a short amount of time. | ||
| I think there are a lot of Americans watching right now who might share your concerns and also have more broadly questions about the idea of people who have not taken a citizenship test, prepared for that test by learning about the U.S., who haven't sworn an oath to the country, getting to vote. | ||
| Why did you change your mind and why is it acceptable for non-citizens to vote in an American election? | ||
| No, I did not change my mind. | ||
| I supported the concept of the bill. | ||
| The one aspect of that I had a problem with and I thought was problematic was the 30 day part of being in the country for 30 days was the place that I had questions. | ||
| And I sat down with my colleagues. | ||
| I'm a big believer in conversation. | ||
| We have to start talking to each other and not at each other. | ||
| And after hearing their rationale and their theories behind it, I thought it was more important to not veto the bill or get in the way at all and allow the bill to move forward. | ||
| In New York City, just Brooklyn for example, 47% of Brooklynites speak a language other than English at home when I was the borough president. | ||
| And so I think it's imperative that people who are in a local municipality have the right to decide who's going to govern them. | ||
| And I support the overall concept of that bill. | ||
| Doesn't the bill just make a mockery of the idea of American citizenship, though? | ||
| I mean, this is just for local elections, but does that mean, like, next, New York City is going to want non-citizens to vote in federal elections? | ||
| I mean, and what do you say to all the people who went through the process, the difficult process of becoming an American citizen, studying for the test, swearing an oath of allegiance to the United States of America, who now see this legislation just saying, well, anyone who's here, go ahead and vote. | ||
| Well, I say to them, keep doing it. | ||
| Membership has its privileges. | ||
| Being a member of what we call the United States of America is a great privilege. | ||
| And I would tell them, keep doing it. | ||

| And that's a city of 13 million people responsible for 40% of the global microchip output of Samsung. | ||
| Big tourist industrial city. | ||
| Now, they shut this city down on the 23rd of December with the most spurious of explanations. | ||
| That they had six Delta cases coming in on a flight from Pakistan. | ||
| Nobody believed it and obviously they're hiding something. | ||
| What it is that they're hiding is what the War Room here has been looking into since December. | ||
| What we have broadcast on the War Room before is the footage of residential tower blocks being welded shut. | ||
| of empty streets being sprayed with disinfectants and whatever it is that President Xi is sitting on has escaped out of his clutches because last week we reported that from Xi'an there in the centre the virus had spread to Zhengzhou which is a city of around 10.5 million people and that's just due east in the Henan province there in the green province that you see to the right of Shaanxi and that's | ||

| Going back to Zhengzhou, we now go southeast to Ningbo, which is China's largest port, 8 million people. | ||
| That was shut down towards the end of last week. | ||

| And we sort of indicated that the virus was moving in a sort of Easterly, southeasterly direction. | ||
| Thank God, because otherwise, to the northeast of Zhengzhou is Beijing, which is obviously going to be hosting the Winter Olympics on the 4th of February. | ||
| That's a population of 21.5 million. | ||
| So what is the official lie that we're expected to believe, as kindly presented to us by the Global Times? | ||
| Well, in this city of Tianjin, which is 50 percent larger than New York, it's less than 150 kilometers southeast of Beijing. | ||
| Now that is a city that's had, basically from yesterday, the government has attempted to do testing on every single one of its residents. | ||
| Obviously no one's allowed in or out. | ||
| There's normally a net commuter transfer rate between Beijing and Tianjin of around 100,000 people per day. | ||
| So whatever it is that is now moving in that northeasterly direction towards Beijing is basically on the doorstep here. | ||
| And we are now only three weeks away from the Winter Olympics. | ||
| Now, the official lie, as I say, courtesy of the Global Times, is that they have 20 Covid cases. | ||
| They have, they're expecting us to believe that they've closed down the whole of this city which is 50% as I say larger than New York for 20 COVID cases. | ||
| Here's the interesting thing, Steve. | ||
| They've only told us what two of those cases are. | ||

| The other 18 of those cases, they're being silent. | ||
| Now, longstanding viewers of The War Room and my broadcasts, from occupied Europe will be well aware that we have hypothesised from the beginning that the reason that President Xi has been so circumspect with the truth in this case is because he's actually sitting on a new variant of Covid which he's desperately trying to suppress ahead of the Olympics. | ||
