| Almighty God, the nations and peoples of the world are in distress because we are in rebellion against you. | ||
| Almighty God, the nations and the peoples of the world are in confusion because we distance ourselves from you. | ||
| Almighty God, in this holy day, Good Friday, you proved your mercy and power and love. | ||
| Call back to you those nations which once knew your name. | ||
| Refresh the hope of this nation of ours, for we have lost our way. | ||
| Make your goodness and wisdom and love known to the nations and peoples of the earth. | ||
| We ask that you place your protecting hand over those who suffer for the name of your Son throughout the world, especially our dear brothers and sisters in China who carry their heavy cross so bravely. | ||

| Can you just explain to people what is the significance of Good Friday? | ||
| Maybe people not directly from the Christian tradition, what's the importance of Good Friday and kind of this four day cycle of Holy Thursday, Good Friday, Holy Saturday, and then Easter Sunday? | ||

Good Friday is the climax of really the Christian heritage. | |
| Our Lord, the Word made flesh, eternal Word of the Father, Son of God became Son of Mary. | ||
| He was born to die, and we recall on Good Friday that He offered His life, that He underwent the worst that sin and death could offer, so that the power of sin and death could be broken, and we could have hope to return to right relationship to Almighty God. | ||
| And so we recall that he suffered, we recall that he died. | ||
| On Saturday, we keep silence and darkness, recognizing his entrance into the tomb on Holy Saturday. | ||
| And then we have the vigil on Holy Saturday night, when we anticipate his rising from the dead, and he is the true light that enters into the world. | ||
| And we show that he has conquered his sin and death, and we need not be afraid of what the world, the flesh, and the devil will try to do to us. | ||
| I've noticed when we brought you on, and I've been on your show, that you use radio as part of your ministry. | ||
| Why have you chosen the medium of radio, and not just that, but mass communications? | ||
| Why have you chosen that for your ministry? | ||
| It's more typical in the Protestant tradition, not so much in the Catholic. | ||
| Why have you, and particularly you're a Jesuit, why have you chosen mass communication as your ministry? | ||

Well, I think God might have had something to do with it. | |
| I was a university professor for many years, and towards the end of my teaching career, I got tired of interrupting my lecture with the observation, this is the part where you write down what I say, and at first people looking at me in bewilderment, and then eventually indignation. | ||
| And I said, I think I need a timeout. | ||
| And in that timeout, I had the good fortune of meeting my colleague and friend, Jim Wright, who's the president of the Station of the Cross Catholic Media Studios in Buffalo, New York. | ||
| And we got to know each other, got to talking, and they said, hey, you've talked for a living for most of your adult life, why not try it in radio? | ||
| And all glory and honor to God, it seems to be clicking. | ||
| You know, I'm a Jesuit. | ||
| I want to herald the gospel. | ||
| I want to make Christ known. | ||
| And radio and podcasting, at this time in the 21st century, is a really effective way of doing it. | ||
| One of the reasons I wanted to get up there was the name of the radio network, which is Stations of the Cross. | ||
| What is the significance? | ||
| A lot of our Protestant brethren don't have Stations of the Cross. | ||
| What's Stations of the Cross? | ||
| What is it for our audience, and why is it important, particularly on Good Friday? | ||

Well, the earliest time of the Church, the Apostles and the faithful would literally follow the footsteps of Christ from His condemnation to death. | |
| To his falls, his going to Golgotha, his going to Calvary, his crucifixion, and then his burial site. | ||
| And historically that became etched in the mind of Catholic Christians. | ||
| And we recall that in great art, music, literature, and so on. | ||
| And especially on Good Friday, we remembered that Christ was true God and true man, and suffered as we suffered, and suffered also in his infinite spirit, his infinite soul, to break the power of sin and evil. | ||
| So the Station of the Cross are 14 snapshots, if you will, of that great drama of his condemnation to death through to his burial. | ||
| On Good Friday, when does that service take place in the Catholic Church for our audience? | ||
| Is it a certain time of day? | ||
| It's 3 p.m. | ||

According to tradition, our Lord suffered on the cross from noon until 3 p.m. | |
| and then He died. | ||
| Traditionally, you have a service in the church. | ||
| You pray the stations of the cross. | ||
| You read the gospel. | ||

| It's profoundly It's got the solemnity of a great funeral. | ||

Well, you know, if we're just cosmic pain collectors hurtling through the darkness, if human life is just an episode between two oblivions, then it doesn't matter what we do. | |

| And one's faith, and in particular, one's true faith, The faith entrusted to us by Christ, that gives us the fixed compass points to navigate by, to know who we are, whose we are, and what we are for. | ||
| And absent that, we're going to believe whatever is the most attractive or seductive lie, or whatever generates in us the most fear. | ||
| But if I, as a follower of Christ, know that Christ has conquered sin and death, then I don't have to be ultimately afraid of what the world, the flesh, and the devil can threaten to do to me. | ||
| And because we've lost that touchstone, who is the person of Christ, we're being blown about by every wind and storm. | ||

| How did they justify Having an individual who got 74 million votes, and of course, you know, Michael and Dale's going to argue with his, you know, scientific proof, one hour he's got up, with the new film he's got coming out, and he says he's going to go to court and prove that Trump got 80 million. | ||
| How does, and whether he can prove that or not, that time will tell. | ||
| The fullness of time will see that. | ||
| But how does Facebook, what did they say specifically? | ||
| How did they say the voice of Trump is never going to be on our platform again? | ||

| They banned him from the platform so they do not want any video of him speaking on his platform. | ||
| I just can't believe that we've gotten to this point where a platform with two billion people decides that they will not allow a former president, a former leader's voice to be available for the public to hear. | ||
| Remember, ladies and gentlemen, it's your money. | ||
| Facebook's publicly traded stock, first off, their venture capital, they got him started, he didn't have any money, he was in Harvard when he stole the thing from the twins. | ||
| The venture capital, the private equity, they got him pre-IPO. | ||
| The IPO are all money managers and head fund, that's all pension fund money, all insurance companies. | ||
| I want you to remember, it's your capital that makes Facebook a possibility, makes it exist, so it's your money. | ||
| Your money, your capital, your pension fund, the institutional investors are owners of that stock. | ||
| I'm not talking about the performance of the stock or how it's done as an equity, but it's your money and they have decreed, decreed across the board, his voice will not be heard. | ||
| So let's talk about these hearings, because I am much harder, and I said this from the first time I left the White House, I gave a speech down in Alabama, where I think these things are public utilities, I think they've got to be seized, I think they've got to be treated like public utilities, I think all the data, people have to have total control of their own data, they have to op-in, you're going to have to pay for Facebook, not going to be free, because it's not free to you right now. | ||
| They basically take your data, monetize your data at huge margins, right? | ||
| But go ahead, talk to us about the hearings. | ||
| I know you want to talk about 230, but I think the discussion about 230 kind of missed the plot point, but go ahead. | ||

| We see the leaders of these social media platforms and big tech companies come out And talk, and that's all that happens. | ||
| We don't see any action. | ||
| It's time to see some action. | ||

| Jeff, you don't see any action because all the PACs, every one of these guys virtually has taken money from them. | ||
| They're all taking PAC money. | ||
| They've hired every lawyer in town. | ||
| They've hired all the lobbyists in town. | ||
| They have the best law firms, the best lobbyists, and they give PAC money to all the politicians. | ||
| So it's all kabuki theater. | ||
| I mean, the hearings are fine, but tell me What action do you want to see coming off of these hearings? | ||

Well, first of all, I think they should take action so that if they are biased against the political speech, that is treated just like any other bias that is against the law. | |
| We're seeing, you know, across the board, people's speech. | ||
| We're also seeing our privacy invaded, right? | ||
| They're tracking us to the mall. | ||
| They're tracking our behavior. | ||
| They're getting into our phones and looking at what we're doing on our phones and then selling it to the highest bidder. | ||
| They've become extremely unhealthy. | ||
| These platforms that were supposed to make the world a better place have become addiction mills. | ||
| They're rewiring our children's brains. | ||
| They're impacting their ability to learn. | ||
| They're promoting a look-at-me society that's actually breaking down and creating a lot of division in society. | ||
| So I think that the most important thing is to make it possible for platforms that are alternatives and competitors like CloudHub Everything we're talking about, you know, Laura, if she didn't have a place to go to, her voice would be silenced. | ||
| The president's voice would be silenced. | ||
| You know, and many other people, whether it's Rudy Giuliani, General Flynn, Sidney Powell, they've all had their voices silenced. | ||

| And that's what we need to make sure that Congress protects, is the ability to have platforms compete with these big companies. | ||
| I want to go back real quickly to addiction and rewiring our children's brains. | ||

| It's very unfortunate that it's gotten to this point. | ||
| They were supposed to be things that built better community and in fact they've really lost their way, these platforms. | ||
| And they are rewiring, that means they're affecting the attention span of children and adults. | ||
| They're creating competition. | ||
| We've seen people, you know, young people even commit suicide because of issues like this. | ||
| So what action are you recommending, Jeff Brain? | ||
| You're one of the smartest guys out there. | ||
| What action? | ||
| We've got about a minute. | ||
| Give me two or three bullet points for action. | ||

Number one, I think 230 needs to be modified. | |
| I don't think we should get rid of it. | ||
| They should modify it to indicate that if a platform is acting as a publisher, then they are liable for their actions. | ||
| We need to have accountability and that's step number one. | ||
| Step number two is we need to make it clear that what happened to Parler and other platforms can't happen to competitors that start to grow and become real alternatives. | ||
| You mean where they dump you off the cloud and they block you from your servers, correct? | ||

| A former president of the United States who hints in this thing that he's going to run again and is obviously not just a major political force, I would say the major political force in our country today, at least if consolidated, in controlling the Republican Party and the deplorables and being their guide and leader, that they can deem that his voice will never be heard on Facebook. | ||
| That's when we've gotten into not just uncharted waters, you've gotten into chartered waters. | ||
| So explain to me about what's your sense of these hearings the other day, and you know, 230's fine, but that's just like, that's just playing softball with them. | ||
| We're now in extremis, we're now in much deeper territory. | ||

| The battlefield has changed so much since then, and our weapons need to change as a result. | ||

| And Hel Thorning-Schmidt is the same person, former Danish Prime Minister by the way, married I think to Stephen Kinnock, the son of Neil Kinnock. | ||
| Neil Kinnock being the Labour Party leader that Joe Biden once plagiarised and had to leave the presidential race as a result of. | ||
| You see how it all comes full circle? | ||
| But Hel Thorning-Schmidt is on the Facebook Oversight Board at the same time That she serves on the Berggruen Institute's 21st Century Council. | ||
| Now, what's the Berggruen Institute's 21st Century Council? | ||
| Well, the Berggruen Institute is a global think tank, a globalist think tank, that, like many other think tanks around the world, appear to have, you know, we're still working on where the money changed hands, or if the money changed hands, I should say, but the Berggruen Institute appears to have a China-focused center Operating out of it called the 21st Century Council and the 21st Century Council is staffed With with big names, big names that everybody knows. | ||
| Hell Thorning-Schmidt, Jack Dorsey, Elon Musk has even been on their list. | ||
| Gordon Brown, former Prime Minister of the United Kingdom. | ||
| You have, I've got a more larger list in front of me. | ||
| Pierre Omidyar, the founder of eBay, who actually was behind funding a lot of the Never Trump activism on the run up to the 2020 election. | ||
| Former Australian Prime Minister Kevin Rudd. | ||
| Former French President Nicolas Sarkozy, former Google CEO Eric Schmidt, former US Treasury Secretary Larry Summers, CNN host and Washington Post columnist Fareed Zakaria, Huffington Post founder Arianna Huffington. | ||
| The list goes on and on and on. | ||
| So when we look at these hearings about big tech, we have to take the thing as a whole. | ||
| And that isn't just how much power do they have, it's also who are they in hock to? | ||
| Who are they working with? | ||

And this is what our story gets to the heart of, Steve. | |
| So, drill down a little bit more, because this story is explosive. | ||
| I've had so many people send it to me this morning about how brilliant the investigative work is. | ||
| Why does this have an impact for people today, and what are you driving at? | ||
| Well, I actually got a tip off from a very, very, uh, mainstream establishment person who effectively said to me, uh, look, here's a tip for you to you guys to run down. | ||
| Um, that says to me, they didn't say explicitly, but that says to me, hang on a minute. | ||
| Why can't you guys, why aren't you running with this? | ||
| Why isn't your organization doing something about this? | ||
| You're throwing it over to us. | ||
| This is a major, major story. | ||
| So I took this tip and we start to look into What's called the Chinese Communist Party's Cyberspace Administration of China, and one particular press release that they had put out in 2017. | ||
| That press release was entitled, Holding High the Banner of Party Media and Fulfilling Its Duties and Missions. | ||
| It's still online, we link to it in our story. | ||
| And what it says is, quote, through cooperation with think tanks, such as the Berggruen Institute in the United States, the Canadian Center for International Governance Innovation, and the Australian Lowy Institute for International Policy, we have attracted nearly 200 overseas think tankers as special commentators for China Daily. | ||
| In one year, it published more than 300 of their signed articles enabling these influential people to influence more overseas audiences and tell China's stories well. | ||
| Tell China's stories well. | ||
| Effectively, what they're saying is that these organizations and all those names I just read to you are assets for China Daily, which is an arm of the Chinese Communist Party. | ||
| Now, I'm not making that allegation. | ||
| This press release by the Chinese Communist Party is making that allegation. | ||
| And when you go through and marry up what they're claiming with what is actually being done, well, I'll give you an example, for instance. | ||
| Zakaria's latest Washington Post column is headlined The Pentagon is using China as an excuse for huge new budgets. | ||
| And the whole article is about, hey, we don't need to be worried about China's military. | ||
| This is their propaganda effort in the works here. | ||
| And you've got Zakaria and the Washington Post who are in charge of it. | ||
| Absolutely a disgrace. | ||
| This is a brilliant report. | ||
| I've only got so much time, and I've got a segue. | ||

| Finally bumped Matt Gaetz off of the lead. | ||
| Describe for us what's going on and the revelations we're getting that reinforces everything we've been saying about Hunter Biden, Rahim. | ||

| Well, Hunter Biden was given a softball question about this hard drive in this CBS interview due to air in full, I think, on Sunday or Monday. | ||
| And he still whiffed it. | ||

| So yes, of course, we will be pursuing all of those people. | ||
| I don't expect to get an answer from Jack Dorsey as to what he was doing there. | ||
| But there are two critical parts here right now. | ||
| Number one is forcing an investigation, a formal investigation into this. | ||
| You know, this cannot be left to Raheem Kassam and Natalie Winters to figure out where one of the world's most menacing powers is exerting its influence over the entirety of the Western world, right? | ||
| Somebody's got to step up to the plate here. | ||
