Time Text
There are two visions of Western society that are currently on the table.
Vision one is where merit wins, where being good at things actually matters.
And this vision of society has excellent externalities, really good positive externalities, because when you are good at things, you end up helping other people.
You end up producing goods, products, and services that are useful to others.
The meritocracy is the only system ever devised by man that actually creates positive effects A positive knock-on effect for everyone else in a society.
That is vision number one.
Vision number two is the oversensitive army of losers society, in which merit is discarded in favor of your level of offense.
And the more of a failure you are, the more you get to be offended.
And the more offended you are, obviously the worse society is, because obviously if the people who are unsuccessful get to run all of the levers of society, and part of the thing they get to do is declare that their unsuccess is a facet of their victimhood, That means negative externalities for everyone because it's literally the reverse of merit.
It is failure of merit.
It is lack of merit that now puts you high on the totem pole when it comes to this version of society.
This is the sort of conflict that is bubbling to the surface across Western civilization and here are just two quick symptoms.
They're sort of fascinating because we're gonna have to choose which vision of society we wish to live in, the meritocracy or the army of losers society.
So, with regard to the meritocracy, the backlash has now begun against the army of losers society.
According to WRAL News, this is actually excellent news, UNC Chapel Hill's board of trustees on Monday approved the transfer of $2.3 million in diversity and inclusion spending to public safety priorities in their 2024-2025 budget.
The trustees held a special meeting Monday morning.
The board is scheduled to hold its regular meeting Wednesday and Thursday.
The UNC System Board of Governors is expected to vote next week to eliminate diversity goals and jobs at member institutions, including UNC Chapel Hill.
A Board of Governors committee last month approved a complete rewrite of the system's existing diversity, equity, and inclusion policy.
Which is excellent.
They are saying, no longer are we going to craft all of our systems around the false, pernicious lie that all disparities are because of societal exploitation and discrimination.
Instead, we're gonna do away with all of that, and we're gonna go straight back to a meritocracy.
We're not spending taxpayer money on it.
We're not spending tuition money on it.
We're done.
That is the way that society needs to move if you wish to have a successful meritocracy, a successful society with excellent knock-on effect and an ability to build for the future.
According to one of the members of the Board of Trustees, Dave Boliak, he said, I think DEI is divisive.
I don't think it's productive.
I don't think it gives a return on investment to taxpayers and to the institution itself.
Boliak said that conversations about increased funding for public safety began after the on-campus shooting death of a professor beginning at the 2023-2024 school year, and so did these on-campus protests in support of Hamas.
So they are moving all of their funding away from DEI and toward campus safety, which makes perfect sense.
Obviously, the professoriate is really upset about all of this.
All of these people have made their money on the back of DEI anti-meritocracy.
Beth Morocco, an assistant professor in the Department of Health Behavior and chair of the faculty said, quote, frankly, I was stunned.
I have heard from faculty who are very concerned, who are concerned because they see value in what we're doing to increase equity and inclusion on campus.
Well, Who cares what they have to say, considering they are the beneficiaries of a system that is directly cutting against meritocracy.
So that is path one for our societies.
We stop this notion that freedom itself, freedom in economics, freedom in association, freedom of speech, that all of these things are tools of the powerful, designed in order to harm others, and that merit itself is somehow a bad thing.
That merit itself is a demonstration of power dynamics in sort of a Foucault deconstructionist way.
We discard that.
That is path number one.
That is the path toward a successful society.
Then there's path number two that is currently being presented by Disney.
We'll get to more on this in just one moment.

So Disney, believe it or not, Disney World, has decided they're going to axe Tinkerbell from doing meet and greets at the park.
Now this is one of those stories that doesn't seem particularly big on the surface because it's not particularly big.
On the surface.
Except that the way that you educate your children matters an awful lot.
The way that you deal with things like children's entertainment matter an awful lot because obviously kids are incredibly impressionable.
Their brains are incredibly malleable and plastic.
And when you teach them that Tinkerbell cannot be allowed in public view because Tinkerbell is some sort of exploitative vision of women, well you're creating a society of victims.
The predicate for this was something called the Stories Matter initiative over at Disney.
According to the New York Times circa 2022, as Disney prepared to introduce its streaming service in 2019, it began an extensive review of its film library.
As part of the initiative called Stories Matter, Disney added disclaimers to content the company determined included, quote, negative depictions or mistreatment of people or cultures.
Examples included episodes of The Muppet Show, So, what were some of the things they decided were offensive and required a label?
Ursula, the villainous sea witch from The Little Mermaid.
Her dark color palette, lavender skin, and black legs could be viewed through a racial lens.
She's an octopus.
The Stories That Matter team cautioned that she is a queer-coded character with mannerisms inspired in part by those of a real-life drag queen.
So despite the fact that she's just a fat female octopus in the movie, obviously this is a rip on gay people and black people in some bizarre way, according to the Stories Matter team over at Disney, which meant there had to be one of those dumb labels before you watch The Little Mermaid on Disney+, saying that this movie contains offensive depictions or behavior or cultures other than our own.
Tinkerbell was also marked for caution.
Why?
Because she is, quote, body conscious and jealous of Peter Pan's attention.
Yes, that's right.
Tinkerbell is body conscious and therefore she is no longer going to be included in the character meet and greets at Disney World.
The move from Disney came after it confirmed her disappearance from the meet and greets at the resort in February.
Apparently, again, it is because she was body conscious and jealous of Peter Pan's attention.
Now, let's be real about the character of Tinkerbell.
Obviously, Tinkerbell is in pretty good shape in the movie.
The whole joke is that she is a pretty small person who's in love with Peter.
That's the whole joke of the film.
That is part of the relationship between them.
Which, of course, dates back to the original book by J.M.
Barrie.
But that can't be included.
Because, obviously, it might give bad messages to little girls.
Like, perhaps, you know, being body conscious actually matters with regard to mating.
Or it might give off the impression that sometimes girls get jealous over guys, which you can't have because obviously it's true.
And these minor symptoms are indicative of broader cultural trends.
And those broader cultural trends have impacts on politics.
Because again, when you have the army of losers mentality versus the meritocracy, eventually the meritocracy is going to stand up and roar.
Because it turns out that the meritocracy is responsible for the success and health of any vital society.
The meritocracy is created by and benefits the lions of society, the strongest people when it comes to any merit-based activity.
Those are the people who are the drivers of growth.
They're the people who are responsible for the tax revenue.
They're responsible for all the businesses being founded.
They're responsible for success and innovation.
The army of losers, by contrast, is a group of people who literally have taken themselves out of circulation because they were not meritorious enough.
Joe Biden, as I've said before, has decided that he is going to focus all of his attention on the supposed army of losers.
And it is a disaster area for him.
The only through line to his administration is what he said it was, equity.
Equity is the lie, again, that all disparities are equivalent to discrimination.
And therefore, if you can identify a group disparity in any practice across the United States, That means that some sort of exploitation or discrimination is happening that is correctable by government.
Now, I don't actually know if Joe Biden believes all of that.
I think that Joe Biden, as I've said before, he's basically just a pinwheel of a human being.
He just moves in whatever the direction he thinks the winds are moving inside of his own party.
But the direction inside the Democratic Party is toward the anti-meritocracy.
And guess what?
Most Americans, we like the meritocracy.
Moderates, independents, even some moderate-leaning Democrats.
It turns out that we like systems where effort is rewarded.
Where merit is rewarded.
Where innovation gets better because merit is rewarded.
Because the incentive structure is properly aligned for growth and health.
And this is why Joe Biden is collapsing in the polls.
Yesterday, Harry Enten of CNN, he was analyzing a New York Times poll that we went over yesterday that shows that Joe Biden is down in pretty much every swing state, even in the one swing state where he's up, in Michigan, he's up by like one point in that New York Times-Siena College poll.
These are terrible numbers for him.
Here is Harry Enten pointing out that Joe Biden is in a world of hurt.
Look, these Sunbelt Battlegrounds, frankly, for the Joe Biden campaign, these numbers are an absolute disaster.
The smallest lead is in Arizona for Donald Trump.
He's up six.
Look at this, nine in Georgia, 13 in Nevada.
My goodness gracious, my God, that is a huge lead.
No Democrat has lost that state since John Kerry lost it back in 2004.
Okay, why is all that happening?
Because Joe Biden, it turns out that when you don't value merit, you fail on every front.
On every front.
When you equate success with exploitation, you end up benefiting policies that suck.
And that's true everywhere.
It's true from immigration, to social policy, to the Middle East, to the economy.
Joe Biden on the economy continues to fail.
According to Axios, inflation expectations are actually picking up both in the corporate C-suite and at Americans' kitchen tables.
When people expect higher inflation, it can be self-fulfilling.
If this reversal of progress in inflationary psychology continues, it will make the Federal Reserve leaders warier of cutting those interest rates, which is, of course, what Joe Biden is counting on.
Joe Biden is counting on economic growth to be spurred by the Federal Reserve cutting the interest rates
and flooding the money into the economy again.
The problem is if the inflation continues apace, they're not gonna do any of that.
The New York Fed's survey of consumer expectations for April
showed Americans anticipate inflation of 3.3% over the next year, up from 3% in March
and the highest in five months.
Separately, Monday morning, the Cleveland Fed's quarterly survey of CEOs
showed their anticipated inflation over the next year rose to 3.8% from 3.4% three months ago.
That number had declined for five straight quarters.
So it turns out that people now think that inflation is baked into the cake.
The producer price index for April is due out on Tuesday morning.
The CPI is due out on Wednesday.
But the bottom line is that even if inflation were to level off even a little bit, you've had now three and a half years of massive inflation under Joe Biden.
And that is already baked in.
Those prices are not coming down.
You're not going to get a deflation in which milk is suddenly cheaper at the supermarket.
And that is because Joe Biden decided, again, that it was more important to him to pour money into the economy to benefit the supposed victims of the system than it was to actually guarantee the overall health of the system.
He poured money into an already inflationary economy.
And the far left loved it.
He basically implemented modern monetary theory, which was Elizabeth Warren's bizarre and notoriously dumb idea that there is no such thing as inflation and you can endlessly pour money into an economy without any negative side effects.
He tried that, and guess what?
It failed.
But he's still trying that.
He's still trying to pour money into the economy in the bizarre belief that if he somehow stimulates members of his political coalition with cash, somehow that will be good for him overall politically.
So what is he doing?
He's relieving student loan debt at the cost of taxpayers and moderates who don't particularly like that idea.
Meanwhile, he's trying to claim that he's bringing down inflation.
He is not.
Here's Janet Yellen, his treasury secretary, saying that this is Biden's top priority.
Well, if it's top priority, then why has he failed so poorly?
The cost of living in many areas is very high, and it is a concern to Americans.
And it is President Biden's top priority to do all he can to bring down the cost of living.
Is it, though?
Because it feels like it's not.
He continues to promote higher and higher spending, which is what creates a higher cost of living, as it turns out.
Every single product that government has ever subsidized has gotten more expensive over time, from healthcare to university, education.
We'll get to more on this in just one second.

Meanwhile, again, because Joe Biden subscribes to the Army of Losers philosophy, Joe Biden is now driving the biggest border crisis in American history.
According to the Washington Examiner, illegal immigration that has exploded under Joe Biden has driven the biggest surge in the foreign population in America ever recorded.
According to the Census Bureau, 15.6% of the U.S.
population is now foreign-born.
A Center for Immigration Studies analysis of the new census numbers said that Biden's open border policies have fed the increase.
In March 2024, the foreign-born population reached 51.6 million, that is 5.1 million more than in March 2022, the largest two-year increase recorded in American history.
60% of that increase is from illegal immigration.
What's even worse is that what the census data shows is that a majority of the new immigrants are not even working.
Again, if you hate the meritocracy so much that you believe that the United States should just be a grab-bag of cash where all of the meritocrats produce and everyone else consumes, this is what you end up with.
And that you have some sort of worldwide right to enter the United States because the United States is a nefarious, exploitative force in the world, which is what members of the far-left Bernie Sanders Socialist 46% are employed, meaning 54% are not.
This is what you end up with.
According to the Washington Examiner, the Center for Immigration Studies
using Census Bureau numbers calculates 46% of immigrants who arrived over the past two years are employed.
46% are employed, meaning 54% are not.
Some immigrants say they are looking for work.
Most, including the elderly, children, and caregivers, are not in the labor force.
Report authors Steven Camerata and Karen Ziegler say, quote, immigration clearly adds workers to the country,
but it just as clearly adds non-workers You need to be supported by the labor of others.
Those who simply see immigration as a source of labor need to understand it's also a source of school children, retirees, and many other non-workers.
How could it be otherwise?
Immigrants are people.
The CIS says that if trends continue, the U.S.
will top 18% foreign board by the end of the decade.
Without any form of assimilation and without any economic plans to integrate these people while increasing, presumably, all of the benefits that people are receiving from the federal government.
Meanwhile, non-profits are making billions of dollars off the border crisis.
According to the Free Press, Barry Weiss's publication, a brand new report suggests that NGOs are making literally billions of dollars off of illegal immigration at this point.
The Free Press examined three of the most prominent non-governmental organizations that benefited Global Refuge, Southwest Key Programs, and Endeavors, Inc.
These organizations have seen their combined revenue grow from $597 million in 2019 to an
astonishing $2 billion by 2022. The CEOs of all three nonprofits make more than half a million
The chief executive of Southwest Key makes more than a million dollars.
So what exactly are the services being offered by these NGOs?
Endeavors uses taxpayer funds to offer migrant children pet therapy, horticulture therapy, and music therapy.
In 2021 alone, Endeavors paid Christy Merrill, a music therapist, $533,000.
$533,000.
This is insane.
Again, Joe Biden paying off all of his buddies with your taxpayer dollars.
And it's true across the board.
Joe Biden, when it comes to social policy, he has decided that the federal government is simply going to ignore all of the data that is now coming out about not only the non-effect, but the reverse effect of transgender surgeries and hormone treatments.
All this is now coming out in Britain to such an extent that it's basically been banned for people under the age of 18.
And yet Joe Biden is still fighting tooth and nail to ensure that kids can be mutilated.
According to the New York Times, after 30 years as one of England's top pediatricians, Dr. Hilary Kass was hoping to begin her retirement by learning to play the saxophone.
Instead, she took on a project that would throw her into international fire, reviewing England's treatment guidelines for the rapidly rising number of children with gender distress known as dysphoria.
The National Health Service asked Dr. Kass to independently evaluate how the agency should proceed.
Over the next four years, Dr. Kass commissioned systematic reviews of scientific studies on youth gender treatments and international guidelines of care.
She met with young patients and their families, transgender adults, people who had detransitioned, advocacy groups, and clinicians.
Her final report, published last month, concluded the evidence supporting the use of puberty-blocking drugs and other hormonal medications in adolescents was, quote, remarkably weak.
On her recommendation, the National Health Service in Britain will no longer prescribe puberty blockers outside of clinical trials.
Dr. Cass' findings are in line with several European countries that have limited the treatments after scientific reviews.
But in America, medical groups have endorsed the treatments as evidence-based and necessary.
The American Academy of Pediatrics, which is a left-wing front group, declined to comment on Dr. Cass' specific findings and condemned the state bans.
The federal government for its part continues to take its lead from radical gender activists in this space.
All of whom are rebelling against prevailing traditional notions of gender and sexuality in the United States.
This is the coalition that Joe Biden has chosen and it turns out it's a shrinking coalition because it is at odds with the reality that most Americans live and experience and want.
Most Americans are still fairly traditional in their lifestyles and their choices.
Most Americans still wish to be part of traditional families.
Most Americans still wish to be part of traditional church communities.
Most Americans want a level of economic stability.
They're not looking for revolution from above, from people like Joe Biden, a befuddled old man who has no clear concepts on how economics even works.
He's never run a popsicle stand and made all of his money selling influence via his family.
Most Americans don't like this, which is why Joe Biden is sinking in the polls.
And of course, the most obvious example of Joe Biden's absolute confusion when it comes to foreign policy remains the war in Gaza.
So, yesterday, the UN admitted that they'd been lying about casualty figures.
They'd been taking Hamas's casualty figures for granted, and they were simply lying about it.
The UN admitted that they were off by 50%, 5-0% on the original estimate of women and children who had died in the war in Gaza, bringing the totals down to about 7,800 and 5,000 respectively, which brings the total number of Palestinian fatalities down by over 11,000, which is a third of the commonly reported total.
Also, the Palestinian statistical agencies lie.
What they consider to be a child means under 20.
What we consider to be a minor in the United States would be under 18.
And by the way, if you talk to anyone who has fought a counter-terror operation in Afghanistan, in Iraq, in the Gaza Strip, in Jenin, anywhere all over the planet, a huge number of terrorists are 16, 17, even 15 or 14 years old.
It's a tragedy, but terrorist groups use children as their soldiers.
It is just a reality.
So when Hamas says that a child was killed, they are not identifying whether the minor was a 17-year-old pointing a machine gun at Israeli troops or whether it was a 7-year-old who is sheltering in some sort of building underneath which there is a Hamas bunker.
We'll get to more on this in a moment.
First, do you owe back taxes or you still have those unfiled returns?
Well, that is a bad idea because the IRS is becoming more determined than ever to come after you.

As Seth Mandel points out a commentary magazine, it is possible, perhaps even likely, that the Israeli Defense Force has achieved a civilian to combatant casualty ratio of around 1.5 to 1, an unheard of level of precision in civilian protection in urban warfare.
So where are the other 11,000 casualties?
According to Hamas, they were based on media reporting.
So they didn't actually like look at the corpses.
They just reported.
And again, there have been people who've been looking at the statistical tabulations Hamas is doing, and they say they're clearly falsified.
They're rising in arithmetic ways that do not mirror reality.
As Mandel points out, the Biden administration and the UN were both well aware of Hamas' method of fabrication, which means President Biden has been knowingly using false numbers to crucify Israel in the court of public opinion and to justify withholding weapons from our allies during wartime.
Again, do you understand how insane that is?
That Israel, if these statistics are correct, the new statistics provided by the UN, that Israel's ratio of terrorists to non-terrorists killed is 1.5 to 1 in an urban war in which Hamas is deliberately hiding in civilian populated areas?
That's literally unprecedented.
There is no precedent for that sort of kill ratio in a war in an urban area.
No precedent at all.
And Joe Biden is meanwhile suggesting that Israel may be violating international law.
Here is the UN attempting to attempting to spin the lie that they've been pushing out there for legitimately months at this point.
This is Farhan Haque, the spokesperson for the UN, in response to a question about the revisions.
Can you clarify the process for how those numbers were revised?
Yeah, the revisions are taken, you know, as we, of course, in the fog of war, it's difficult to come up with numbers.
We get numbers from different sources on the ground, and then we try to cross-check them.
As we cross-check them, we update the numbers, and we'll continue to do that as that progresses.
It's almost half.
It's pretty significant.
Numbers get adjusted many times over the course of a conflict.
Once a conflict is done, we'll have the most accurate figures.
But we're just going with what we can absolutely confirm, which will always be the low end of what the numbers are.
So in other words, you were reporting stuff that you had not confirmed this entire time and lying about it.
And you can clearly see this person has no sources on the ground.
The sources on the ground are Hamas, and they were all taking it for granted, including the Biden administration, who's going out and using Hamas statistics in order to lie about an ally in a time of war.
I also love that the UN is allowed to use fog of war as an excuse for completely botching the stats and using Hamas stats.
Israel, however, cannot use fog of war in the actual fog of war.
Like in the actual middle of a battle in which Hamas is hiding among civilians.
If a civilian gets killed, Israel can't say that's the fog of war.
That's how it works in wartime.
But the UN, sitting in Brussels or in New York, can figure out to use the term fog of war to apply to tabulation of statistics from Hamas.
It's insane.
It's totally insane.
But again, this is undergirded by the fact that the Biden administration is bought into the army of losers mentality, which is that the real suffering that is happening in Gaza is not the result of Palestinians who are radicalized by generations of lies about Jews, a wildly anti-Semitic population by every available polling metric in the Gaza Strip and in the West Bank, A wildly anti-Israel genocidal population that supports October 7th.
That is the reality.
That doesn't mean they're all terrorists.
It doesn't mean that they all ought to be killed or that they all ought to be physically harmed or anything like that.
But you have to actually know the population that you're talking about when you are talking about how to deal with issues like terrorism.
The Biden administration, however, has been attempting to suggest that it's Israel's less than stellar treatment of Palestinians in Gaza that has led to all of this, which is just a lie.
It is not true.
Israel pulled out in 2005.
Joe Biden has completely changed his language here, by the way.
Right after October 7th, Joe Biden was saying that he was totally in tune with Israel's attempts to take out Hamas.
Which makes sense, because you have to take out the terrorist group that just murdered 1,200 citizens and took 250 hostages.
They're still holding Americans hostage.
I'll keep saying that until the cows come home.
Joe Biden cares more about Britney Greiner being held by the Russian government for a drug crime.
He traded a literal drug lord and guns runner for Britney Greiner, a WNBA star who is dumb enough to travel to Russia with drugs in her suitcase.
He cares more about that than he does about Americans who are being held hostage and are wounded being held hostage by an actual honest-to-God terror group for whom he is currently doing PR.
But here is Joe Biden flashback to fall 2023.
Do you believe that Hamas must be eliminated entirely?
Yes, I do.
Oh, remember that time?
Well, now they no longer believe that.
So now the Biden administration is like, well, that's not possible.
You can't eliminate Hamas entirely.
We'll get to more on this in a moment.
First, let's say that your business in foreign policy and the head of the department has
turned their back on our country's biggest ally, botched the Afghanistan withdrawal,
maybe lied under oath.
Well, you might want to replace that person, would you?

Okay, so here is the thing.
It depends on how you define Hamas.
If you define Hamas as the command and control structure of Hamas, as their military capacity, 100% you can destroy it.
Absolutely you can.
And then you're going to have to engage, as the United States did in Iraq for years, or Afghanistan for years, or as the British did in Malaya for years, in a counter-insurgency.
Everyone knows this is the case.
Why?
Because the population is indeed quite radical.
A huge percentage of the Gazan population is in support of terrorism.
There's a reason people were cheering in the streets for the terrorists on October 7th.
There's a reason for that.
There's a reason that Hamas won election in 2006.
So of course they're going to have to deal with a counterinsurgency.
But the Biden administration seems to believe that the solution to this is for Israel to get out of the Gaza Strip again.
Which they did.
Which led to October 7th.
They seem to believe that if Israel leaves and has no eyes on target ever, that is somehow better for the Palestinians and better for the Israelis.
That leads to... Again, this is all nonsense.
I don't... Either they're the stupidest people who have ever walked the earth over at the State Department, or they don't actually believe this stuff.
They just don't care whether Israel's citizens are endangered.
So long as they get to continue with their befuddled view of the Middle East, in which the Israeli-Palestinian conflict is somehow central to all conflict in the region.
There are a lot of people in the State Department who are very regretful that Israel was ever created in the first place.
Here's Tony Blinken, trying to articulate what is, in fact, Catch-22.
He says, if Israel stays, there will be a counter-insurgency.
If Israel leaves, Hamas will take over.
So what then is the solution?
The answer is there is none.
The real answer is there will have to be a counterinsurgency.
Everyone knows this.
I said this literally the week that the war happened.
Literally October 9th, I said this.
That Israel would have to occupy the Gaza Strip indefinitely because there is no government for Israel to hand over the power to.
No one wants it.
Egypt doesn't want it.
Jordan doesn't want it.
The PA doesn't want it.
UAE doesn't want it.
No one wants it.
But here is Blinken trying to make a case for nobody knows what the hell he's making a case for, honestly.
We also need to see a plan for what happens after this conflict in Gaza is over.
And we still haven't seen that, because what are we seeing right now?
We're seeing parts of Gaza that Israel has cleared of Hamas, where Hamas is coming back, including in the north, including in Khan Yunis.
As we look at Rafa, they may go in and have some initial success, but potentially at an incredibly high cost.
to civilians, but one that is not durable, one that's not sustainable.
And they will be left holding the bag on an enduring insurgency because a lot of armed Hamas will be left,
no matter what they do in Rafa.
Or, if they leave and get out of Gaza, as we believe they need to do,
then you're going to have a vacuum, and a vacuum that's likely to be filled by chaos, by anarchy, and ultimately by
Hamas again.
So he just says, if they get out of Gaza, as we believe they should do, Hamas will take over again.
So why do you believe they should do that, you idiot?
You literally just said that.
I mean, it's madness, what he is saying right there.
And what is the implication?
That Hamas, all those people are going to suddenly become peaceful and pro-Israel if Israel pulls out?
They tried this for 20 years.
Again, if you think that Israel would not gladly hand over the Gaza Strip to any of the surrounding peace partners that it has in the region, of course Israel would.
By the way, Israel has known this for literally decades.
In 1967, during the Six-Day War, there was an open debate inside Israel over whether they should even attempt to take the Gaza Strip.
The only reason they did is because Egypt forced their hand.
They wanted to leave it in the hands of Egypt in 1967.
It was pushed for by Moshe Dayan, who was the chief general in Israel's army at the time.
It's all crazy talk.
And again, there's no one to pick up the pieces here because no one wants control of a population that is this radicalized.
The UAE, for example, which is one of the Abraham Accord partners, they lashed out at Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu on Saturday after the Israeli leader said the Gulf state could be involved in aiding a future government in Gaza after the war.
Foreign Minister Sheikh Abdullah bin Zayed Al Nahyan rebuked Netanyahu in an early morning post on X saying Abu Dhabi denounced the Israeli leader comments.
The UAE stresses the Israeli Prime Minister does not have any legal capacity to take this step.
The UAE refuses to be drawn into any plan aimed at providing cover for the Israeli presence in the Gaza Strip.
He said the UAE would be prepared to support a Palestinian government that met the hopes and aspirations of the Palestinian people.
But of course, that's not going to arise.
So what he's really mad about is that the Israelis are saying, please help us, and they're like, we're not gonna help the Israelis.
Not only that, you think, well, you want control of these people?
You had your mind.
The Palestinian Authority, the widely touted Palestinian Authority, a corrupt oligarchy that has been robbing people blind for literally decades.
That oligarchy refused control over the Rafah Crossing.
According to a Palestinian official, Israel said to the Palestinian Authority, in consonance with the Americans, would the PA like to run the Rafah Crossing?
The United States had requested it.
The PA said, no, not interested.
We want no part of this.
Because the PA knows that the first thing that would happen if they took over is Hamas would start killing all of them.
How do they know that?
That's precisely what happened in 2006.
When Hamas literally went to war with the PA in the Gaza Strip and wiped them out.
Meanwhile, you have former Clinton negotiators like Dennis Ross, Ambassador Dennis Ross, who, again, is a fool.
Saying, quote, Well, all ears, gang!
The answer is, there is no answer.
to Jabal Ya Zaytun and Zun Chan Yunis is a reminder no plan existed for what would replace
Hamas.
Yes, Hamas is weakened, but without an alternative to it, it will fill the vacuum and Israel
needs an answer.
Well, all ears, gang.
The answer is there is no answer.
My favorite fool of the day is Shadi Hamid, who's a columnist and editorial board member
for the exorable Washington Post, where he claims that Israel and the United States are
suppressing democracy in the Middle East because obviously democracy is the answer.
The only problem with that, of course, is that the last time they tried democracy in the region, they had an Arab uprising, the so-called Arab Spring, that resulted in the Muslim Brotherhood running Egypt, Hamas running the Gaza Strip, and friendly kingdoms being threatened by takeovers of terrorist governments.
This notion that democracy is a cure-all, that voting precedes rights, is absolutely asinine.
It doesn't follow the history of political development in literally any country.
Democracy never precedes rights, ever.
Rights always precede democracy.
Democracy is, in fact, the last domino to topple when it comes to the establishment of things like property rights.
Historically, that was true in countries that founded democracy, like, for example, Great Britain.
The Magna Carta was a deal between the oligarchs and the king.
It took centuries before Parliament had actual power in Britain.
This bizarre notion that you can transplant institutions of democracy into soil that is filled with people who love terrorism is totally crazy.
And yet that's what Shadi Khamid is saying.
He says, the promise of authoritarian stability is false.
Authoritarian regimes only seem stable until they're not.
They are fierce but brittle.
That brittleness becomes obvious after the fact.
Like administrations before Biden conflates quiet with stability.
After the storm passes, it will be up to anyone who cares about the Middle East to resist the temptation to repeat old mistakes.
Yes, clearly we've seen the viability of democracy in places like, say, Afghanistan, where we tried it.
Or Iraq, where we tried it.
But according to Shadi Hamid, the true answer is to allow people in the Gaza Strip to vote again.
Which would have been nice, except that, um...
We pushed for a vote in 2005.
Hamas was promptly elected, and then they promptly established a fascist state in the middle of the Gaza Strip, which is still overwhelmingly popular by polling data with the Palestinians.
That is not a soluble problem, which means that when you ask Israel for something that does not exist, you are siding with the terrorists who do exist.
All right, coming up, we'll get into the most bizarre aspects of Joe Biden's plan for the Middle East.
I mean, truly bizarre.

And meanwhile, what exactly is Joe Biden's plan in Gaza?
Shockingly, they seem to keep floating this idea that we should bring, like we, the Americans, should bring the Palestinians here.
No, no, and no, as I have just stated.
This is a deeply radicalized population.
We already have enough Hamas supporters in Dearborn, Michigan.
We don't need more.
We don't need more protesters on college campuses burning American flags in the name of fascist ideologies.
But that's what this garbage administration is now pushing.
What I will say is, and I've said this many times before in the beginning of what happened, occurred on October 7th.
We put in a plan.
There were 1,800 Palestinian Americans that were in Gaza and we did everything that we can to get them out
if they choose to, if that's something that they wanted to do and certainly we
were able to do that.
As it relates to a refugee program or anything in that nature, I don't have any
announcement to make and I'll just leave it there because I want to be really
mindful about that, about getting ahead of that.
Does the fact that a lot of Democratic Senators were sort of lukewarm on the idea make it less likely that something
like that would happen?
I wouldn't say that.
I wouldn't say that, confirm that either way.
What I will say is we don't have any announcement to make at this time.
And so obviously we're going to look at everything.
It is not the job of America to take in deeply radicalized populations from overseas.
That is not our job.
This is insane.
Meanwhile, again, the Biden administration trying to buy this back a little bit because this whole switch in time on Gaza has not helped them in the polls.
In fact, it continues to sink Joe Biden in the polls.
It turns out that most Americans don't like Hamas very much.
And actually, most Americans, by the polling data, are pretty good with Israel.
They kind of like allies, particularly Democratic allies fighting terrorist countries that literally just murdered 1,200 people and took five Americans, among others, hostage.
So now they're trying to back off of this a little bit.
So, Karine Jean-Pierre's like, don't worry guys, we're just pausing one shipment.
Sure, we made a big show of it, but we're only pausing one shipment.
Now again, remember, all of this could be done privately.
Let's say that the Biden administration even was very unhappy with Rafa.
Why leak that to the press?
How do you think that got to the press?
That got to the press because members of the Biden administration, including top members like Jake Sullivan, undoubtedly leaked all of this information to their friends at the New York Times and the Washington Post and the AP, hoping desperately to get cover from the pro-Hamas voters in Dearborn, Michigan.
Usually, when you have a disagreement with an ally, it stays behind closed doors.
When we have a disagreement with Britain, it stays behind closed doors.
Disagreement with France tends to stay behind closed doors.
When it comes to Israel, they wanted public pressure, and more than anything, they really wanted to virtue signal to a bunch of people who really don't like the West very much, but might vote for the Democratic Party.
That blew back on them, and so now, they're trying to, well, it's just one shipment that we're talking, just one shipment.
Here's Corine Jean-Pierre.
As it relates to the announcement that the president made in the interview last week on CNN, we have paused only one shipment.
That includes 2,000 pounds bombs, which can be very destructive in densely populated urban environments, such as Rafa.
You heard, obviously, Jake just speak to this.
Only one shipment, no big deal.
Jake Sullivan trying this routine also.
He says no one has stood stronger with Israel than we have.
Actually, I can think of everyone standing stronger with Israel than deliberately undercutting them in the middle of a war.
One last thing.
No president has stood stronger with Israel than Joe Biden.
He was the first president ever to visit Israel during wartime.
He is protecting Israel at the United Nations.
He mobilized a coalition to directly defend Israel against an unprecedented Iranian attack.
He led the bipartisan effort to pass a supplemental that ensures Israel's defense and military edge for years to come.
His commitment to Israel is ironclad.
Ironclad doesn't mean you never disagree.
It means you work through your disagreements, as only true friends can do.
That's exactly what we've done for the past seven months, and that's what we'll keep doing.
Well, actually, that's not what you're doing.
As Jake Sullivan himself said, they really don't care about the hostages at this point.
So we don't know how many hostages are alive, but we're still negotiating with Hamas, of course.
I cannot give you a clear number of how many are still alive because we do not have total fidelity on that, unfortunately.
And it's something that we watch every single day.
We know there are deceased hostages.
We know there are living hostages.
And we know that with each passing day, the risk to those hostages also goes up, which only redoubles our commitment to try to get to a ceasefire and hostage deal as rapidly as possible.
But unfortunately, I'm not in a position to give you fidelity on those numbers because nobody entirely has it.
We have our And yet you are putting pressure on Israel in the negotiations.
driven by intelligence, so I have to be cautious in sharing them.
But to look you in the eye and say, we know exactly how many are alive, nobody can do
that for us.
And yet you are putting pressure on Israel in the negotiations.
Meanwhile, Benjamin Netanyahu, prime minister of Israel, who has been bashed much harder
by this administration publicly than has the leader of Hamas.
Like literally they're bashing Biden.
Biden and team have been calling for the ouster of Netanyahu and equating him with an actual terror leader.
Here is Netanyahu saying, you know, these perceived tensions with the United States, those are not helping free the hostages, which of course is true.
Pressure brings hostage releases, not concessions to terrorists.
I worry about this perception about a breach between the United States and Israel.
Well, that perception certainly doesn't help the hostage It certainly doesn't help stabilize the Middle East.
It gives a sucker to Iran and its henchmen.
But it means that we have to apply the pressure even more.
If the equation has several elements to it, then increase the military pressure.
But ultimately, you need the victory.
You're not going to evade the need for victory.
And you ask, well, what do you do when you're faced with such international pressure?
I can say that in Israel's history, Well, that of course is correct.
That's what any country worth its salt would do in the face of a terror assault on literally all of its borders at this point.
The fact the Biden administration continues to try and, like a pinwheel, catch the wind in its own party?
It's a failure.
As Nate Silver is pointing out, the fact that Joe Biden is whistling past the graveyard on all of this is totally crazy.
He says, Biden has been behind Trump in the polls for a year now.
His approval is in the tank.
Voters have been clear.
They think he's too old.
If Trump wins, history will not remember Biden kindly.
The number of supposedly intelligent people who think, well, polls systematically underestimate Democrats now, when Trump substantially over-performed his polls in 2016 and 2020 to a much greater degree than Dems did in 2020, not even a presidential year, is mind-blowing to me.
That is absolutely correct, but this goes to the absolute blindness of Democrats.
They've created such a strong echo chamber for themselves that even in spite of the polling data, they're going to continue to believe that they're going to win.
We'll get to more on this in just a moment.
First, when we started The Daily Wire, me, Jeremy, Calum, the biggest question mark was HR.

Speaking of Joe Biden's blindness here, according to Axios today, Biden doesn't believe his bad poll numbers, neither do many of his closest advisors, according to people familiar with the matter.
By the way, when you start denying poll numbers, you're in serious trouble.
I remember this in 2012.
There were poll numbers showing Obama beating Romney, and a lot of us who were hoping that Obama would lose kept skewing the polls and un-skewing the polls.
Well, no, I mean, look, no one's showing up to the Obama rallies.
He's not popular.
He's got a bad approval rating.
But the polls said what the polls said, and the polls weren't wrong.
Well, poll denial is not an actual strategy, but that's what Joe Biden is engaging in right now.
According to Axios, the dismissiveness of the poor polling is sincere, not public spin.
That bedrock belief has informed Biden's largely steady-as-she-goes campaign, even as many Democrats outside the White House are agitating for the campaign to change direction.
Biden told donors, quote, while the press doesn't write about its momentum is clearly in our favor,
but the polls moving toward us and away from Trump. He says the polling data has been wrong all along.
Okay, if you are, if you are spending your days denying the polling numbers,
then you got a problem.
And that's what Joe Biden is doing.
Some Democrats think the Biden team is in denial about the polling and sleepwalking into defeat.
Yeah.
But again, this is what happens when you have an echo chamber that's strong.
An amazing story about this echo chamber is the story of Jen Psaki's new book.
So Jen Psaki is the former White House press secretary before the absolutely terrible at her job, Karine Jean-Pierre.
So she has a brand new book out.
In her new book, Say More, she claims that President Biden never looked at his watch during the ceremony for soldiers killed during the U.S.
withdrawal from Afghanistan in 2021.
Now, that's a lie.
It was perfectly obvious that he was looking at his watch.
There are literal pictures of him looking at his watch in the middle of the event.
In her new book, she writes, quote, the president looked at his watch only after the ceremony had ended.
Moments later, he and the first lady headed toward their car.
She said that Biden's critics were engaged in misinformation.
But of course, that's untrue.
There are two separate photos of Biden looking at his watch twice, ten minutes apart.
So now she's saying that she's going to change the book and they're going to change the account.
According to Axios, Psaki's account is part of a larger pattern of Biden officials trying to recast the administration's handling of the Afghanistan withdrawal.
Last year, when a reporter asked White House spokesperson John Kirby about the chaotic process of evacuation, Kirby defended the work of U.S.
officials on the ground and said, quote, for all this talk of chaos, I just didn't see it.
Not from my perch.
The reason that the Democrats believe they can get away with this is because for literally decades, the mainstream media have covered for them on all this stuff.
The presence of the Internet means they can no longer get away with it.
But in that echo chamber, in that echo chamber bubble, that is now hardened into a nuclear silo of misinformation for Democrats, in which they believe that polls no longer matter, in which they believe that dissent from outside sources is all misinformation.
That's wrong, and they're going to pay the price at the polling places on election day for all of that.
Join me on the line is Tyler Fisher, actor, stand-up comedian, and viral content creator.
Of course, you know him from a bunch of Daily Wire projects, including Terror on the Prairie and, of course, Lady Ballers.
Well, now, he's the voice of Carpanzi in our brand-new animated series, Mr. Bertram Tyler.
Thanks for joining the show.
Thanks for having me on the show, Ben.
I was, uh, just, I left the protests, protesting, uh, the violent, uh, anti-, you know, com-, the, the comedy in the show.
We're, we're, we're doing a protest down here in Austin, Texas.
Well, I mean, I hate to take you away from your chosen profession of protesting shows that you're already on, but why don't you tell me about Mr. Bertram and the character that you play on it?
Sure, well, yeah, I play Adam's enemy, I would say.
And Carpanzi has really been hired to scan the halls of the school, scan the books, and everything that's being taught to make sure it is not fun, that it's equal, and it's equitable, and all of those things that are not possible without a woke, tyrannical, annoying Man bun wearing d-bag.
So tell me how you actually worked with everybody else in the series.
I know that for Megyn Kelly, for example, she was in kind of a separate place and they would have her read the line separately and they cut it all together.
How about for you?
Was it sort of the same process or were you in a room with anybody?
I was alone.
I was all alone with this guy.
So I was slowly, every day I'd come in and I would dress a little bit more like Carpanzi.
You know, I'd come in short shorts or A tight little rainbow tank top.
I was really all alone in a room and you couldn't really see the producers.
We all have that inside of us.
Everyone has a Carpanzi.
Unfortunately, mine came out and that's what you see on screen.
I mean, it's the method acting that really makes you a master of your craft.
So let's talk about how you get into character to do stuff like this.
Was there any prep for this or you just kind of came in and read your lines?
The prep was living in Brooklyn, New York for 15 years.
I mean, this guy is sort of a combination of every woman I've dated, every, you know, comedian who says you can't make jokes about anything except, you know, whatever the current conflict is.
So I am realizing that was the gift of suffering through that.
Going on a date and someone says, I have no gender, or I have 40 genders, and just going, oh, OK.
So I've slowly been taking notes.
And I was able to channel all of that through Carpozzi.
It's been incredibly therapeutic for me, I think.
So let's talk about your sort of experience in comedy.
So obviously you're openly political.
You're outspoken about your politics.
How's that affected your career other than you're being relegated to work with us here at Daily Wire a lot?
Yes, well, my career's been affected.
You guys own me now.
No, I mean, I never outwardly said I had a political party, but nowadays it's no secret, you talk about it all the time, everybody does, that the left has gone so far left that even a moderate appears right wing.
So to even be mildly moderate now means you're a far, far right terrorist in New York City.
So I've just kind of accepted it now.
It kind of gives you a freedom to go, okay, you think that's what I'm like?
Well, now I'm going to make whatever joke that I wanted to make at anybody's expense.
And whoever's coming with me, it's like the Tom Cruise scene.
You coming?
Who's coming with me?
And that's kind of how I feel.
It's given me incredible artistic freedom.
I tour doing stand-up around the country, soon around the world.
And lo and behold, in Portland, Oregon, and every little woke town, there's still hundreds, if not thousands, of people that are dying to see comedy done how I would say it was done 15, 20 years ago.
Well, that's Tyler Fisher.
You can go check out his incredible voice work as Carpanzi in our brand new animated series, Mr. Bertram.
Tyler, great to talk to you and get back to your protest.
I know you're busy today.
All right, tylerfisher.com.
See me on tour in the town near you.
