[00:46:35]  I mean, to your point, I don't watch the Oscars and neither does anybody in my family.
[00:46:40]  And that's because for so long, Hollywood has become little more than just a cesspool of cultural rot.
[00:46:46]  I mean, there's very little of cultural or aesthetic value that Hollywood has produced in the past several decades.
[00:46:53]  I mean, these are people who generally, as a general matter, disdain everything that I love and stand for.
[00:46:59]  They disdain generally our faith.
[00:47:01]  They disdain our culture.
[00:47:03]  They disdain our country and our heritage.
[00:47:05]  All of the things that we believe make this country great and that are good, true, and beautiful, they stand against.
[00:47:11]  So it is good to finally see somebody within that dark world who actually, at least to a small degree, reflects the values that the rest of the country holds.
[00:47:21]  Yeah, it's amazing.
[00:47:22]  We heard some printing and mueling, virtue-signaling speeches about crackdowns on free speech, right?
[00:47:30]  And thorium dictatorships.
[00:47:32]  But They don't say anything about Iran.
[00:47:35]  They say nothing about Venezuela.
[00:47:37]  They say nothing about Cuba.
[00:47:39]  They say nothing about President Trump global wins.
[00:47:42]  You know, it seems quite, you know, and they would, of course, never dare criticize communist China.
[00:47:48]  That's where they need their money.
[00:47:51]  Yeah, it's all just hollow, hollow virtue signaling.
[00:47:54]  I mean, they're well aware of what kind of rhetoric is tolerated in Hollywood and what isn't.
[00:48:00]  You know, you can go so far as to say you love your children.
[00:48:03]  At least they're allowed to say that.
[00:48:05]  But they're certainly not allowed to say that they have any affinity for conservatives or Christians more broadly.
[00:48:11]  And certainly not for anything President Trump has done that's been great for the country.
[00:48:15]  They'll never cross that line, at least not anytime soon.
[00:48:18]  I think it was remarkable that we didn't hear any complaining about the police or cops, given the fact that there was a massive FBI and Secret Service presence at the Oscars itself and federal law enforcement presence at the Oscars itself because of a Iranian drone threat.
[00:48:34]  And they had ratcheted it up to 11, all reports say.
[00:48:37]  And it's remarkable how all the ice outpins disappeared when it was federal law enforcement protecting them at their little event.
[00:48:45]  Right.
[00:48:45]  I mean, these are the people who actually benefit the most from police protection, whether it's because they get, you know, threats for whatever reason or that it's a massive target for foreign agents.
[00:48:56]  They're the ones who get protected.
[00:48:57]  And whenever they don't, they've all got private security anyways.
[00:49:01]  But it's really easy whenever you're in that kind of bubble to look down on the rest of America who wants to exercise our Second Amendment rights or who wants to make sure that our local police departments are not only fully funded, but are actually from a morale standpoint supported by the people.
[00:49:20]  But it's just, it's one thing after another with these people.
[00:49:24]  They'll take all of the benefits of living in the United States and all of the cultural and economic benefits of really what conservatives have been pushing and then throw it back in our faces.

[00:49:38]  I mean, I know, again, you're not, we didn't ask you to come on the show to talk about the Oscars necessarily, but you are young and you are like locked in and obviously you have millions of followers on social media and you see this kind of stuff.

[00:49:51]  I thought he had a restraining order from all of the award shows in Hollywood.
[00:49:55]  I thought he had a beeper on his leg, but sure enough, he's able to claw his way in to every single award show and get on and give some like Trump hating speech, muleing speech.
[00:50:03]  And last night he was talking about how there's an like, we live in a country with authoritarian attacks on free speech.
[00:50:11]  He says this.
[00:50:12]  And he cites CBS and North Korea and America as like the things attacking free speech.
[00:50:20]  I wonder your response perhaps to Jimmy Kimmel.
[00:50:22]  Oh, yeah.
[00:50:23]  It's always rich to hear somebody talking about the attacks on free speech from ostensibly Republicans and conservatives whenever you're the one who is bashing the president and bashing conservatives and Christians on national TV and on whatever other platform you want to use every single day.
[00:50:39]  I mean, nobody's stopping him from attacking the president.
[00:50:43]  Nobody said he doesn't have the right to say that, as idiotic as most of what comes out of his mouth is.
[00:50:48]  But I mean, to your point earlier, young people don't watch this stuff anymore.
[00:50:51]  I think for the main reason is that it's just not funny or entertaining.
[00:50:56]  You know, it's a bunch of self-serving elitist, really contemptible elitist people who are running an award ceremony so that they can congratulate themselves.

[00:51:08]  And I think most people look at this and say there is very little of value that you've created in your lifetime.

[00:51:15]  You don't promote any kind of culture that I relate to in any way.

[00:51:23]  Brandon, self-serving elitists is like a great segue into the U.S. Senate and a wonderful opportunity to talk about the SAVE Act and what the hell is going on up there in the Senate.
[00:51:36]  Although I did hear some good news perhaps this weekend that we may actually get a true debate.
[00:51:42]  We might actually be getting closer to doing a proper filibuster of the SAVE Act in the Senate.
[00:51:48]  You've obviously been the co-signer of the bill and its initial advocate and somebody who's been beating the pavement and hitting the bricks for this.
[00:51:58]  What's up with this most popular piece of legislation maybe in American history?
[00:52:03]  Oh, and yeah, that's the thing.
[00:52:04]  The American people look at this right now, especially Republican voters, and they say, we elected you guys.
[00:52:10]  We gave you control of the House and the Senate and the presidency.
[00:52:13]  Now you've got the most common sense piece of legislation you could possibly contemplate.
[00:52:19]  And you can't even get this done.
[00:52:21]  So right now, as you know, we passed it out of the House.
[00:52:23]  It's stuck in the Senate.
[00:52:25]  It looks like things are moving in the right direction in the Senate right now.
[00:52:29]  They are starting debate on this bill.
[00:52:31]  It looks like that debate is going to last quite some time.
[00:52:34]  Without getting into all of the nuances of Senate procedure, Leader Thune is doing what's called filling the tree.
[00:52:41]  So they're putting Republican amendments onto this core piece of legislation as a means of sort of prolonging debate.
[00:52:48]  It's almost like one step short of a talking filibuster.
[00:52:51]  So I'm happy to see that.
[00:52:53]  But I think what we need to recognize is it's not over until it's over.
[00:52:57]  The goal here is not to do, to put this up for a vote in the Senate to put people on record and see who stands for the SAVE Act and who doesn't.
[00:53:06]  The goal is to get this bill to the president's desk so that he can sign it into law to make sure that illegal aliens are not voting in our elections.
[00:53:13]  That's the whole purpose of all of this.
[00:53:15]  So I think that we need to keep the pressure up politically on the Senate so that they know where the American people stand.
[00:53:23]  And that's why, you know, I've said publicly several times that I'm not going to vote for any bill that the Senate sends over to the House other than DHS funding, because I think that's particularly relevant and that happened before all of this.
[00:53:35]  But I'm not going to vote for any Senate bill that they send over until they pass the Save America Act.
[00:53:40]  And I've got a lot of colleagues who agree with me on that.
[00:53:43]  Yeah, please.
[00:53:45]  I believe there's maybe 50, is that so?
[00:53:47]  51 different members of Congress now that have said, am I underquoting that?
[00:53:53]  That sounds about right.
[00:53:54]  My estimate is probably in the 40 or 50 range.
[00:53:58]  And it's really because we in the House recognize that this is going to be a big issue for the midterms.
[00:54:03]  Apart from how much this is just great policy, something that we need to get done, it's really hard for us to go back to voters in November and say, you gave us control of the House and the Senate, and we couldn't get something that 80% of the country agrees with across the finish line.
[00:54:19]  That's a tough argument to make.
[00:54:21]  So if we want to go back to voters and convince them that we should maintain control of the House and the Senate, that we should keep the majority, we've got to actually do something with the power that voters gave us.
[00:54:31]  And this is the perfect thing.
[00:54:33]  You know, right now, especially for Republican voters, this is pretty much all anybody cares about.
[00:54:39]  They don't care about small little bills that we could pass on the House floor that don't really move the needle anymore.
[00:54:46]  They want to make sure illegal aliens are not voting in our elections.
[00:54:49]  Election integrity is something that conservatives have talked about for quite some time now.
[00:54:54]  And now we have the opportunity to do something about it.
[00:54:57]  So this is the issue.
[00:54:59]  This is the current political zeitgeist.
[00:55:02]  And we better jump on it and actually do something about it.
[00:55:05]  And if not, it's going to be a tough sell in November for us.
[00:55:09]  Just very quickly, can you please cut right through all of the procedural and parliamentarian Eyes glazing over, you know, back and forth.
[00:55:18]  And just like tell us point blank, Congressman, how does this get passed?
[00:55:23]  I think that there are two ways for this to get passed.
[00:55:26]  One is to attach the Save America Act to a must-pass piece of legislation that the Senate would just pass altogether.
[00:55:33]  I think that that's going to be a tough road to go down, but that's one way you could do it.
[00:55:37]  The other way is just this talking filibuster.
[00:55:40]  It's to bring the Save America Act to the Senate floor and make the senators actually debate this, debate this measure.
[00:55:48]  Do what a real filibuster is, a real filibuster.
[00:55:51]  Senators debate for and against any piece of legislation.
[00:55:54]  So make them actually do it until the clock runs out on debate, which allows every senator to speak twice.
[00:56:00]  They can speak as long as they can.

[00:56:02]  And once that clock runs out, once every senator has done that, then you end debate and you actually vote on the underlying bill.
[00:56:09]  So again, without getting too much into the weeds, there are two ways to end debate in the Senate.
[00:56:15]  And that's where this 60-vote threshold actually happens.
[00:56:18]  You can either vote on cloture, which requires that 60 votes, meaning you didn't even have to debate anything on the floor.
[00:56:25]  You're just voting to end debate to then vote on the underlying bill, or you can run out the clock on debate, meaning make the senators actually talk, actually debate.
[00:56:35]  And then once that debate is over, from a timing perspective, then you move on to the vote for the underlying bill, if that makes sense.
[00:56:42]  And that I think is going to be the best path here.
[00:56:44]  It takes longer, but I think that's a better path for us to go down.
[00:56:47]  I know, but like, dude, like most of these senators, Democrats and Republicans together, they have tea times.

[00:56:56]  Like they got Oscars.

[00:57:15]  And so this would be very, very tough for the Democrats and the Senate.
[00:57:20]  So yeah, I mean, I can see why they'd be very upset about this happening to them.

[00:57:26]  Like, I see some positive signs.
[00:57:28]  We'll be up in DC tomorrow, like actually hitting the bricks for this.
[00:57:31]  And so we're excited about that.
[00:57:33]  One final thing.
[00:57:34]  Speaking of hitting the bricks or like literally sending people out of our country, Mohamed Ajola is a really unique and special individual before he gets like completely memory hold.
[00:57:50]  This guy gets invited here, gets flown here on American taxpayer dollars from Sierra Leone.
[00:57:57]  No explanation from any politician as to why we're bringing anyone from Sierra Leone or Somalia or any other failed state to this country.
[00:58:03]  Then he expresses his interest in doing an ISIS terrorist attack.
[00:58:07]  He gets arrested and then convicted for that.
[00:58:09]  And then he gets let back out on the street to commit an ISIS terrorist attack, which he did last week.
[00:58:13]  And he killed a truly great American, somebody who actually deployed three times in order to go fight terrorists and then was killed here on our own soil by our suicidal immigration laws and toxic empathy.
[00:58:26]  How can we stop this from happening, Congressman, in the future?
[00:58:29]  Yeah, I mean, this was a failure on so many different levels.
[00:58:33]  I mean, first of all, why was this person ever let into the country to begin with?
[00:58:37]  To your point, you know, it's like if only we, if there were some way to predict that somebody named Mohamed Jala from Sierra Leone might actually be a terrorist threat.
[00:58:48]  You know, why don't we use some common sense here and recognize that we don't need to bring people in from all over the globe with ideologies that want to kill us into our country.
[00:58:56]  And we have the right to say no.
[00:58:58]  So he never should have been let into our country to begin with.
[00:59:01]  And then once we found out that he had any terrorist sympathies, much less tried to coordinate with ISIS, he should have either been imprisoned for life, executed, or deported the heck out of here.
[00:59:14]  So it's so many failures and it's such an idiotic way of running an immigration system and ensuring that the American people are actually safe from foreign threats.
[00:59:26]  My view, and I've said this before, is I don't think that we should be, I don't think that it's wise for the United States to mass import people from the Islamic world into our communities.
[00:59:36]  That does make our country less safe and less secure.
[00:59:39]  And this is another great example of that, unfortunately.
[00:59:44]  Really quickly here, because I know we're up against a hard out, what should happen in Congress?
[00:59:48]  What do you recommend?
[00:59:49]  What bills are on the floor?
[00:59:51]  Ship Roy is on here talking about the PAWS Act with regularity.
[00:59:55]  What bills do you support in order to end this madness?
[00:59:59]  Because of course, as we have documented time and time again over the last couple of weeks, we, if imported, every attack in 2026 was somebody who we brought here at great expense to come here and kill us.
[01:00:12]  It's just suicidal, suicidal immigration ideology.
[01:00:15]  Oh, it's idiotic and suicidal.
[01:00:18]  There's a variety of legislation that I support.
[01:00:20]  The PAWS Act is one of them.
[01:00:21]  Anti-Sharia legislation is one of them.
[01:00:24]  Congressman Ogles unveiled some legislation last week that we're digging into now.
[01:00:29]  The overriding framework, I think, should be to drastically reduce immigration, of course, illegal immigration, but also legal immigration and put serious stipulations on who can actually come into the country under any circumstances, making sure that you do not have any allegiance to any foreign government.
[01:00:48]  You don't have any allegiance to any terrorist organization.
[01:00:51]  And ideally, and I think you should be assimilable into American culture.
[01:00:57]  Be somebody who can become American.
[01:00:59]  And there are certain ideologies and worldviews that are unassimilable.
[01:01:03]  So I think that should be the basic framework.
[01:01:05]  Again, the purpose of our immigration system is to benefit the American people.
[01:01:10]  There's no other reason it exists.
[01:01:12]  We have no obligation to bring in anybody from any part of the globe.
[01:01:16]  And that's just a basic fundamental principle.
[01:01:19]  And it's amazing how far we've strayed away from that.
[01:01:23]  Yes, that made some, that hit my timeline this weekend.
[01:01:26]  The anti-Sharia legislation.
[01:01:28]  Just really quickly in closing, what's the status on that?
[01:01:33]  Yeah, that's something that has quite a few co-sponsors now.
[01:01:37]  I don't know the number off the top of my head.
[01:01:39]  But I'm part of the anti-Sharia caucus in Congress.
[01:01:44]  I think we have over 50 members now, all Republicans.
[01:01:47]  That's quite big for a caucus like that.

[01:01:53]  I think that every Republican at least recognizes that, especially over the past two weeks, the threat of Islamic terror within the United States is very real and it is killing our people.
[01:02:06]  So you are seeing a growing movement here of support from across the Republican conference for bills like this.

[01:02:17]  It would be better if more people just pulled it up on AI.

[01:11:40]  You're not going to get any food from your only ally in this entire hemisphere, which is Venezuela.
