		So President-elect Trump is reportedly considering Florida Governor Ron DeSantis as a potential replacement for his defense secretary pick, Pete Hegseth.
		So the Wall Street Journal reporting, quote, Trump allies increasingly think Hegseth may not survive further scrutiny, according to people close to the president-elect's team, which considers the next 48 hours to be crucial to his fate.
		Hegseth is still set to meet with these senators today, as well as the House Republican Study Committee.
		On Monday, he met with Alabama Senator Tommy Tuberville, who is expressing concerns about some of Trump's nominees.

		Chronister saying in part, quote, Meanwhile, Trump's pick to run the Treasury Department, Scott Bessent is reportedly set to meet with Senate Republicans today to shore up votes ahead of the confirmation process.
		Those hearings will begin at the start of the new year to get cabinet nominees confirmed ahead of Trump's inauguration on January 20th.

	I show you this because I've seen this tactic up close.
	I only show you this to show you that I sat there in the Senate hearing rooms with the Kavanaugh hearings.
	I sat there and I watched.
	I cataloged all of it.

	You have two people that sat next to him for eight hours a week on record and you will retract or correct your story?
	They should.
	And there should be legal penalties for things like this.
	We have it on firm authority because we have people we know that worked with Pete Hegseth that spoke to NBC News for this garbage article and they didn't use their interview at all because they spoke highly of Pete Hegseth.
	So we are telling you, ladies and gentlemen, the war is on.

		Because it was effectively Joe Biden staring down the barrel saying, you were right.
		Saying, you know what?
		Every single thing that you have brought up about me and my family, not only are you so right, you were so right that we need blanket pardon coverage for 11 years of our lives to stay out of prison for a life.
		So, I guess, congratulations.
		And two, what was your reaction?
james comer ▲ ● ▼		Well, my reaction was, obviously, I knew he was going to pardon Hunter.
		The reason he's partying Hunter so early is because Hunter was fixing to be sentenced to prison next week.
		And Joe Biden had an opportunity to do it on a Sunday night right before he got on a plane to Africa.
		So it was the perfect time for Joe to do it.
		He's not finished pardoning, by the way.
		He'll have to pardon at least his brother on the way out.
		So maybe we can get together and have a buffalo trace or a beggar's mark, whatever your preference is, before that announcement.
		But at the end of the day, you know everything in the investigation was accurate.
		Because he didn't just pardon him for what he was convicted of.
		He pardoned him for anything that he could be convicted of from the exact dates where we requested bank records from 2014 to today.
		So that's evidence that Joe Biden read the Oversight Committee report.
		He knew that a Trump Department of Justice could charge Hunter Biden for money laundering.
		Violation of Foreign Agents Registration Act, and tax evasion for significantly more amounts of money than what he was charged for tax evasion on.
		Remember, Benny, he was charged for tax evasion on the money he got from Burisma.
		As corrupt as Burisma was, it was a real company, and he did get a W-2 on it.
		All the other money besides Burisma, the Chinese money, the Romanian money, the Russian money, He never paid any taxes on it.
		He took that and laundered it through all these LLCs that he would use as, you know, expenses, his everyday living expenses, like his prostitutes, he counted that as employees, you know, and business travel was, you know, travel to sex clubs.
		Sex club, we wrote off as a country club membership, according to the IRS.
		So, you know, everything that he took in from the influence peddling, besides Burisma.
		He never paid a penny of taxes on it.
		And that was over $20 million right there.

		He was kicked out of the sex club for being such a degenerate.
		He's like a demonic sex club in LA.
		And Hunter Biden was too bad for them.

		And this is boggling to even the Justice Department itself, it seems.
		And Biden's getting some pushback.
		And everyone is relatively astonished, including a lot of Biden defenders in Congress, who have come out against this saying, an 11-year pardon?
		Like, we've never seen anything like that.
		It's twice as big as the pardon Nixon got for Watergate.
		So presumably, they're twice as bad as Watergate.
		The biggest scandal in American history.
		Do you agree?

		I've said this is the biggest public corruption story in my lifetime, and I'm 52 years old.
		Look, David, we should be upset with the Bidens.
		Joe Biden threw him under the bus after Weiss gave him a sweetheart deal.
		Weiss knew he could have charged him for significantly more financial crimes than what he was charged for.
		He did the bare minimum for Joe Biden, and this is how Joe Biden repaid him.
		So, you know, I have no sympathy for Weiss.
		He was a terrible prosecutor.
		He was part of the deep state.
		He could have prosecuted Hunter Biden for violations of Foreign Agent Registration Act, for money laundering.
		If you wanted to get into the salacious stuff on the Internet, which we didn't, we'd just focus on the financial crimes.
		I mean, everything they tried to say about Matt Gaetz, Hunter Biden did with three or four zeros at the end of it.
		So, I mean, you know, those on and on and on of potential crimes, they could have charged Hunter Biden, but they gave him a sweetheart deal.
		And this is how Joe Biden thanked him, saying, oh, it's a two-tier system of justice.
		Give me a break.

		Hunter did it with three zeros and a GoPro strapped to his head, filming literally everything.
		Yeah.
		If Hunter Biden was properly charged, he'd spend the rest of his life in prison.

		So, what happens moving forward?
		You expect a pardon for his brother?
		This is now confirmation, I suppose.
		I mean, if you go back and you reverse engineer this, it started with Joe Biden saying he didn't know anything, and he never talked with Hunter about his business, to Joe Biden never received any money from Hunter's business, to Joe Biden didn't know how much money he received from Hunter's business, to all the businesses completely and totally above board, don't worry, I knew about everything, but it was all really legal.
		And then just love of a son, now I need to pardon him for all of his crimes.
		It's a total reversal thanks to your committee because you exposed all of these things and exposed all these lies every step of the way.
		But how do you, you know, how do you, and I've read your reports, how do you pardon?
		He's going to have to pardon his entire family, right?
		Because his entire family touched this money.
		Is this correct?

		Ten, including Joe Biden himself, touched the money.
		The two central figures.
		Obviously, in addition to Joe Biden, we're Hunter Biden and Jim Biden.
		Remember, we issued criminal referrals.
		We, the Oversight Committee, issued criminal referrals to the Department of Justice for Hunter Biden for perjury and for Jim Biden for lying to Congress because we brought Biden in for a transcribed interview.
		We brought Jim Biden in for the transcribed interview.
		We brought Hunter Biden in for a deposition.
		They lied under oath.
		That's a felony.
		And so the new Trump Department of Justice has an opportunity to hold them accountable.
		So Joe Biden pardoned Hunter for that, in addition to all of the financial crimes he'd been charged for, in addition to the little measly gun charge, which I never talk about because, you know, that's just a joke in itself.
		The only thing funny about the...
		Gun charges.
		Joe Biden wanted to expand more gun laws, you know, and then his son gets caught violating a law that he, you know, supported.
		And then he pardons him when the prison's full of minorities that have, you know, lied on a gun application.

		But so so with respect to Jim Biden, Hunter Biden.

		All we can do in a congressional committee is investigate an issue report.
		I can't go in and arrest people or take them to prison like a couple of people.
		I'm not going to mention any names that tweet in conservative world say.
		But we've given the Trump...
		Justice Department and Ms. Bondi, an opportunity to hold them accountable.
		But Joe Biden's pardons will probably be the saving grace for Jim and Hunter Biden.
		What I want to see happen is I want to see all the deep state bureaucrats that were involved in the cover-up for years and years and years.
		I want every one of them to be held accountable.
		And the Department of Justice can do that.
		And Joe Biden will not Pardon those people.
		So there will be an opportunity to hold people accountable.
		And as they come forward, if the Department of Justice drags them in court, they're going to start talking.
		And I think some even new things could arise about the Biden's.
		But that's left up to Pam Bondi and certainly myself and I know Jim Jordan.
		Are available to help in any way we can.

		There's been a lot of chatter about, well, now he doesn't have his Fifth Amendment rights.
		And so now he has to answer.
		And if he doesn't answer, then you send him to prison like Peter Navarro or Steve Bannon.
		I mean, you're not pardoned for that.

james comer ▲ ● ▼		And, you know, look, he came in in his deposition.
		People thought he would take the Fifth.
		Hunter Biden, he never took the Fifth one time.
		He just lied.
		And that's what the Bidens do.

		When he lied and he said that the laptop was Russian disinformation, he knew the FBI had the laptop for over a year and he knew it was legitimate.
		He lied when he said he wasn't going to pardon his son.
		NBC of our network reported that he made the decision then he was going to pardon his son.
		He just lied and then made the decision he was going to lie about it.
		But the last thing, when we started the investigation two years ago, roughly, the laptop We're still Russian disinformation.
		That's how far we've come in two years with this investigation.
		Proving the laptop was legitimate, proving the intelligence community knew the intelligence community knew that it was real, even when they signed that letter, to prove that all the financial crimes have been committed by the fact that Joe Biden pardoned him for anything over that 11-year time period.
benny johnson ▲ ● ▼		So in closing, Mr. Chairman, you are not That's right.
james comer ▲ ● ▼		And he's not through admitting it because he will pardon at least one more Biden family member.

james comer ▲ ● ▼		We're going to continue, but we're going to consult with Bondi to make sure Trump wants to do this.
		Look, everything we got from the private sector, we got the bank records from private banks.
		We brought the people like Devin Archer and Tony Bobulinski in with subpoenas.
		When I subpoenaed information from the private sector, from private individuals, I got it.
		And that was where we found all that we reported.
		What we didn't get was information from the federal government.
		The National Archives is still sitting on those pseudonym emails.
		There's testimony from government employees that we can't get because they won't let them talk.
		The White House wouldn't let us talk to anybody.
		So, the Trump administration has an opportunity to turn that information over.
		I don't want to keep fighting the federal government and the deep state if the deep state's not going to cooperate.
		It's just a brick wall.
		But now, thankfully, Trump got elected.
		He's going to put a new FBI director in, Kash Patel.
		He's going to put a new attorney general in, Pambani.
		Hopefully, they will want to continue this investigation.
		And I can tell you right now, myself as chairman of the Oversight Committee, and I'm pretty confident Jim Jordan, chairman of the Judiciary Committee, we're available to help.
		If they want us to keep moving forward, we will.
		If they just want us to advise them as they move forward, whatever we want to do, I want to see justice served.
		If the Bidens are going to do like they always do and get out of it, then let's hold some deep state actors accountable for their role in these crimes.

		Donald Trump considers replacing Pete Hegseth with Ron DeSantis as the Defense Secretary pick.

		We have made some phone calls this morning and confirmed that at least a private conversation was held.
		With Ron DeSantis and President Trump yesterday at a Florida law enforcement ceremony that took place in Palm Beach.
		President-elect Ron DeSantis is considering replacing Pete Hegseth with his controversial pick to lead Pentagon.
		Controversial by who?
		Pete Hegseth is a warrior and a fighter and a great American.
		With one-time 2024 rival Ron DeSantis, people familiar with the discussion said.
		The move comes as Hegseth, a 44-year-old Army veteran, former Fox News personality, faces increasing scrutiny over allegations of sexual misconduct and financial mismanagement.

	The thing that makes me so angry is that if they keep doing the Kavanaugh trick and the Kavanaugh trick keeps working, they'll keep doing it to your kids, to my kids, to everyone.

	Many as six Senate Republicans have expressed reservations about confirming Hegseth for the top kindergarten role, according to NBC News.
	DeSantis, a former member of the Navy Judge Advocate General Corps, was on the short lift of potential defense secretaries, presented to Trump and transition officials before he went with Hegseth, according to the Wall Street Journal.
	The list has recently been dusted off and presented to Trump again as allegations of Hegseth, which some senators have described as disturbing, continue to surface.
	Sources told the Wall Street Journal that Trump could settle on a different replacement for Hegseth if the nomination fails.
	As far as I know, hey, Alex, am I wrong here?
	No senator has come out and said they will vote against Pete Hegseff.
	This is different from Matt Gaetz.

	He can only run for zero more terms, actually.
	Ron DeSantis won his re-election in the landslide.
	Ron DeSantis is responsible for flipping Florida so red.
	And as you know, we are a fan of Ron DeSantis' governorship of the state.

	The president-elect and Florida governor were together Tuesday at a memorial service, and according to reports, they met to speak about the Secretary of Defense nomination.
	During his presidential primary campaign, DeSantis proposed eliminating Pentagon diversity initiatives and slashing military programs on climate change.
	Our mantra on January 20th, 2025 as commander-in-chief will be very simple.
	Mission first, accomplish the mission, DeSantis said on the campaign trail, blaming wokeism in the military.
	We also got to ensure that there's good order and discipline of military installations.
	Having things like drag shows on military bases should not be allowed.
	Ron DeSantis, of course, cares about these things because Ron DeSantis is a JAG officer and served in the military at high levels.
	DeSantis also indicated...
	That as president, he would revoke Biden-Harris administration's policy to allow transgender service military members serve in the military under their preferred sex reinstate those who were kicked out COVID-19.
	Hegseth has been on Capitol Hill this week trying to drum up support for the nomination, a meeting with several GOP senators.
	One of them is Mark Wayne Mullen, I know, who came out strongly advocating for Hegseth.
	Days after being tapped to serve as defense secretary, reports surfaced.
	Again, Kavanaugh-style reports surface, and Hegseth and his lawyers have all claimed these allegations are completely false, along with a ton of his Fox and Friends co-hosts, who we deeply respect, know, and appreciate.
	So ladies and gentlemen, this is the state of play.
	I'll tell you, I hate the tactics.
	I like Pete Hegseth a lot.
	I like Ron DeSantis.
	I wouldn't have moved my most precious commodity, my most precious assets, my family, wouldn't have moved them to Florida if I didn't appreciate Ron DeSantis' stewardship of the state.
	But that is irrelevant to the actual tactics being deployed here against a good man and against a patriot, Pete Hegseth, ladies and gentlemen.
	So here is the breaking report on this.
	This is certainly what has set the internet ablaze today.

		You run those anonymous fake stories, and then you merchandise it, and you destroy the person.
		Here, what you're doing is you're trying to ply off three senators that they need.
		They need three senators to vote against the nomination for Republicans, and then all Democrats vote against it, and then the nomination fails in the Senate.
		Once the nomination fails in the Senate, you're on a tough ship.

		It's really hard to get back that nomination.

		That being said, what typically happens is the advise and consent rule of the Senate.

		So the FBI has their rule book.
		It's called the Diog Domestic Investigations Operations Guide.
		And there's a portion in there.
		It's called Appendix G. And it basically stipulates that the FBI can open up a full counterintelligence investigation on anyone who they believe could be the target, like the victim, of a recruitment scheme from a foreign actor.
		So that leak indicates that there's actually a full counterintelligence investigation open on Kash Patel at this time.
		They're doing it for his benefit, of course, but they're going to get full access through national security letters to his banking records, all of his electronic communications.
		Again, to protect him against that recruiting.

		So expect this playbook to be used against Kash Patel.
		You are saying that they are now scraping through.
		Everything that Cash has ever done, even though he received awards for his work inside the Justice Department, 16 years inside the Justice Department, then working for special operations and being one of the lawyers protecting the highest echelons of military service.
		They're going to go back through and they're going to try and sabotage Cash because it's a threat to the system.

		Look, I was pinged by NBC to provide my comments about the Fight with Cash Foundation, which basically serves to assist military veterans and whistleblowers.
		And they want to, I don't know, paint some sort of corruption scandal on that.
		Look, my experience with Cash Patel was, we're talking about a guy who has some investigative skills.
		Two years ago...
		During Thanksgiving, actually, I got a phone call from a number I didn't know, but I was getting lots of weird phone calls at the time because my name had just become out.
		And I answer it, and it's a gentleman who says, hey, this is Kash Patel, and I have the foundation that supports whistleblowers.
		I would like to give you, because you're unpaid and definitely suspended forever by the FBI, $5,000.
		My foundation is going to give you that donation to get your family through Christmas.
		I don't want any attention on this.
		Don't tell anybody.
		This is just something that I do because I believe in.
		That's the character of the man who was tapped to become the next FBI director.

		That's remarkable.
		I've honestly never heard that story.
		Cash has been on the program talking about the work of his foundation.
		That's remarkable, Steve.
		What an honorable thing to do.
		So you're saying that that this honorable man who we distinctly want and advocate for and are campaigning for to get the job of the FBI, that they aren't done launching dirty tricks at cash.
		What do you what do you expect next?
		I mean, what does this mean effectively?
steve friend ▲ ● ▼		I think they're going to do something similar to what we saw with Donald Trump, where they take him literally and not seriously, where The statement that Cash makes sort of a tongue-in-cheek, I would shut down the FBI headquarters and reopen it as a museum to the deep state.
		There will be a lot of parole clutching at something like that, where it's a throwaway line, and it's him saying that the entire thing needs to be paradigm-shifted and rethought, and we need to get a lot of the bodies out of Washington, D.C., out of the swamp, actually going after criminals out there.
		But they're going to try to paint that with him, as well as just question his bona fides, which he's got extremely...
		Look, the guy, the one element that seems to get overlooked a lot that I like to hammer on is he started his career as a lawyer as a public defender.
		Not white shoe law firm, $600 an hour public defender.
		I'm talking about federal public defender, local public defender.
		He has an appreciation for the power that the government can bring to bear to make the process the punishment.
		And for anyone on the communist left to have problems with Akash Patel, when you have a person of color...
		Who came from a public defense standpoint?
		That's a wet dream for you.
		But it just sort of shows that they are not really about the messaging that they push out there because they're outcome-driven.
		They're not really process-driven people.
benny johnson ▲ ● ▼		So should we expect a Kavanaugh-style, Donald Trump-style Russiagate op to be launched against cash?
		It does seem to me, Steve, that the FBI is the birthplace of all dirty tricks.
		Is currently housing the Epstein list, the Diddy list, all of the Biden files that they refused to give to Chairman James Comer, who was just on the program?
		This is ground zero for every op that has been launched against the American public.
		I mean, let's not even talk about January 6th and how many FBI agents might have been in the audience, in the crowd, and how many of them behaved illegally.
		It seems like this is like the vanguard.
		This is what they're defending.
		This is Helm's Deep, man.
		They must defend this place.
		And if we breach the ramparts here, then it's kind of over.
		And that's why they're going to, I think, do everything they can to keep cash from getting the chair.
steve friend ▲ ● ▼		Well, go into the DNA of the FBI, right?
		You have Hoover, who basically had derog on everyone in order to keep the agency going.
		And what's amazing is, you go to the old-timer agents who even served underneath them, he is still a beloved figure.
		I think that his intentions, be it as it may with having the derogatory oppo research on people, were just for the Bureau to attain a place, and he really came from a position of wanting to root out communism.
		But be that as it may, he had his pros and his cons.
		Kash Patel has a chance to become the most beloved director since Director Hoover.
		Because he's going to come in, and he'll be confirmed.
		I'm actually feeling more confident now as I'm seeing a Ted Cruz come out and speak on his behalf.
		That's somebody who's respected and sort of comes from the conservative side, but at the same time has the chops and is respected across the entire caucus of the Republicans.
		But he's going to come in when the FBI is at absolute depths.
		Absolutely no...
		Trust from the public.
		And he's going to do something along the lines of the Twitter files.
		Just open up everything.
		Because he's starting with a fresh slate.
		He's not going to come in and get co-opted and then all of a sudden have to protect the agency.
		He doesn't have the rosy colored glasses in front of him like so many of these directors do that are just struck by the mystique and aura of the Federal Bureau of Investigation.
		He's actually seen the corruption because he worked on Russiagate.
		And let's reveal the Epstein files.
		Let's reveal the P. Diddy files.
		The Vegas shooting files.
		The Covenant Christian cover-up.
		Let's get to all of those things so the American people can know about it and say, hey, look, we are coming to you and saying, it's a new day.
		Can you give us this one chance?
		Because otherwise, there is no way forward for the country to exist with a secret police force, the FBI.

		Okay.
		So you hit on a couple of scandals that there's too many to really enumerate.
		It's hard to actually keep them all in line.
		Now, based on your deep and institutional understanding of the FBI, what would you advise?
		Cash to do first to amend the system.
		Would it be the D-class, the full D-class?
		What about the mass exodus that we keep hearing about of people that would mass resign?
		I mean, would you welcome that at the FBI?
steve friend ▲ ● ▼		Oh, I would absolutely welcome it because the people that are going to be backing out are doing things that are professionally useless people for the most part.
		They're political ideologues who are going to take this protest and take their ball and go home with it.
		Most of them aren't because...
		Most FBI agents are financially beholden to the Bureau.
		They live hand-to-mouth, paycheck-to-paycheck, which should really render the American people very concerned that their premier law enforcement agency is filled with compromised people outside of this, the political activists.
		That's not going to happen.
		But what I would advise Cash to do, a couple of things.
		One, eliminate the quota system.
		The IPM, Integrated Program Management, that says the FBI has to open up a certain number of cases and arrest a certain number of people every single year.
		That inversely perverts the incentive structure for law enforcement because now they're incentivized to bring crime up.
		Let's use the law as a weapon to get our stats up so that we can go to Congress and say give us more funding so our senior executives can get bonuses because they get bonuses when their underlings arrest the right number of people.
		I would also do away with the intelligence collection apparatus that they have.
		That's the secret police force.
		That's the Stasi thing.
		Tactical intelligence.
		I go to my intelligence analyst and say, hey, what's the license plate of the bad guy that I'm going after?
		So if I see him, I'll know, right?
		But just opening up a case on Benny because, I don't know, I got a funny feeling about that guy.
		Let me dig into his records, which is what they do now.
		That needs to go away.
		And then also just revamp the way that they're actually bringing in the personnel, which since 2009, when Barack Obama took the reins, the personnel have been brought in have been essentially all Marxist communists.
		And they are bought in wholly to the power of the FBI.
		And a lot of them, because they're DEI, are not capable.
		I mean, five years into the Bureau, you're making $130K, 50 paid days off a year, three paid hours a week to work out, work on your mental health.
		It's a pretty sweet gig.

		But this sort of person is legion in the FBI, particularly now that they are wholly bought in on the 30 by 30 initiative that's nationwide, not just the FBI, all law enforcement.
		It's an initiative to get to 30% female participation in law enforcement, not just to the rank and file, but actually into executive leadership.
		But it's essentially cultural Marxism because you look at it, and I have in depth, and it says things like, we need to get rid of job knowledge tests because they're discriminatory.
		Physical fitness standards are misogynistic.
		Grooming standards are anti-woman.
		We have to get rid of things that are, as they call them, white culture, which is like being on time and having a healthy respect for the English common law.
		The FBI is all in on this, all of the DOJ is, and they're getting people that are foot soldiers.
		For absolute Marxism into positions of power and authority, and they have all the tools to go after their political enemies.
		They have an axe to grind, and they're going to use all the authority they've been given.
		This has to go away.
		This has to stop in immediate action.
		I remember talking about, like, this is a day one sort of thing that Director Patel is going to have to bring about.

		So final question on, I guess, FBI personnel.
		Is in my timeline right now that...
		Maureen Comey, James Comey's daughter, is now overseeing the Diddy case fresh off the Jelaine Maxwell case.

		I don't know James Comey.
		I don't want to know James Comey.
		But he is like how how his daughter could get a job and then stay in good standing inside the bureau is remarkable to me.
		Do you think these kind of things should be going on?
		Well, there's an enormous amount of nepotism that goes on.
steve friend ▲ ● ▼		Look, James Comey, he's a human walking middle finger to the rest of the country, as tall as he is.

		According to Fox, when Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau went to Mar-a-Lago this weekend to try to talk Trump out of his 25% tariff threat, Trump apparently suggested that if Canada can't handle the tariffs that would violate the NAFTA upgrade Trump himself signed into law, the USMCA, they should just become the 51st state.
		Just become the 51st state instead and allow Trudeau to be reduced to governor of the state of Canada.
		Which caused the prime minister and others to laugh nervously.
		And while some are writing that off as just a joke, just a few hours ago, Trump posted this, obviously, AI photo of him standing on a mountaintop next to the Canadian flag looking off into the distance with the caption, Oh, Canada.
		And for the record, he appears to be looking at the Matterhorn, which is on the border between Switzerland and Italy, not Canada.
