Welcome to the podcast.

And these are the issues that will be at the front of voters' minds when they head out to cast their ballots tomorrow.
So according to a new polling, 42 percent of South Carolina primary voters say immigration and border security is the most important issue facing the country.
26 percent say it is the economy and 13 percent say it's the future of democracy.
It's worth noting South Carolina is an open primary state.
So what that means is any registered voter.
Now, taking another look at this RealClearPolitics average, Haley is going to need a significant boost if she wants to win in her home state.
But former President Trump says it is time for her to walk away.
donald j trump
Nikki Haley is losing to me.
It looks like she's going to lose by 25 or 30 points.
That's a lot.
She's governor.
But people don't like her too much.
And she's hurting the party.
But I don't care.
Let her run.
Because think of it.
If she's not running, they're not talking about us.
So maybe it's better if she runs a little bit.
But she's not doing well.
And we can't let it happen.
You know, we have to stick together as a party.
brooke singman
But the former governor says she isn't going anywhere.
Listen.
nikki haley
We don't anoint kings in America.
We have elections.
And after two states, there's no way we were going to name him the nominee.
South Carolinians deserve the right to vote, as do every other state after that.
Let's let them vote.
We do have a country to save.
If you will join with me in this fight, I will spend every single day proving to you that you made a good decision.
brooke singman
But even if Haley does make it through Super Tuesday, she could still be the earliest last remaining challenger to drop out of the race in modern primary history.
Right now, Bernie Sanders holds the record, bowing out on April 8, 2020.
unidentified
As you know, the brain itself feels no pain, so it won't feel a thing.
What's in your head?
In your head?
brooke singman
What is this?
benny johnson
This is really good.
That's good.
Okay, I want to let you know right now, when that meme played, that Dr. Carson, who's sitting right next to me, was chuckling.
So, well done.
Well done.
We have an entire meme maker portion of our company that tries and endeavors as much as we can to bring a little bit of joy and a little bit of levity to you as we are sitting here in South Carolina.
Columbia, South Carolina, the capital.
And today.
Is February 23rd, 2024.
We are going to be joined by the great Dr. Ben Carson, who was the...
One of the most loyal, one of the most thoughtful, one of the most profound, one of the greatest thinkers, operators, and surgeons of our time.
Somebody who has a great moral compass and somebody who knows Donald Trump possibly better than any man alive who served in the administration every single day of Trump's administration as a member of Trump's cabinet and who has been a ringing of the bell, a bell ring for conservatives.
And for moral principles across our nation, it is my honor to welcome Dr. Ben Carson to the show.
dr ben carson
So glad to be with you once again, and we're not pardoning a turkey.
benny johnson
We have that clip coming.
There was a time when Dr. Ben Carson and I pardoned a turkey together when we were preparing during the Iowa caucuses, and we got all the presidential candidates who were running in 2016 to pardon a turkey.
So no live animals, we don't think.
dr ben carson
Sounds good.
benny johnson
On the show here.
But you have been in South Carolina.
You've been on the trail for Donald Trump.
You've been speaking at events, and you were at CPAC yesterday.
How does the energy compare right now to 2016?
You just mentioned the 2016.
What's the energy levels like in the country?
dr ben carson
Well, I think people are very enthusiastic about President Trump because they've seen him before.
They know that he's a very, very good president.
And has excellent policies.
Now, there are some people who don't like him and they don't like the way he talks.
But as I always say, if you had a horrible disease and you were dying and it required surgery, would you rather have the surgeon who has questionable bedside manner but does an incredible job or the one who has beautiful sweet words and kills everybody?
benny johnson
Well, so the...
Difference there is quite profound.
My wife's in the medical profession and she says surgeons were often jerks.
And you wanted a surgeon who was a jerk who was there to get the job done.
You wanted a surgeon who could come in and actually perform and get the job accomplished, right?
And that's what you want because this is an operation that we need to go through as a country to save ourselves.
dr ben carson
Absolutely.
And we are in critical condition right now.
You know, it was Benjamin Franklin in 1787 after the last constitutional convention.
He was asked, sir, what do we have here, a monarchy or a republic?
He said, a republic, if you can keep it.
And we've kept it for over 240 years, but we're as close to losing it now as ever.
The other side frequently talks about the loss of democracy.
They're the ones who are threatening the republic, taking away the choice that the voters have.
There's nothing more threatening to the republic than that.
benny johnson
Yeah.
So they wish to take away the choice that the voters have by keeping Donald Trump from the ballot, right?
It's amazing.
The democracy defenders are stripping names from the ballot.
Many of them claim that Donald Trump doesn't have the mental or physical capacity to be president.
They say he's not deserving of the office of the presidency and that he doesn't have the capacity or the tenor to be president.
Mentally or physically.
You worked with the guy every single day during his administration.
You endorsed him in 2016 and then worked sort of by his side for the last eight years, really.
And so you know him better than anyone.
Can you speak to Donald Trump's capacity and capabilities?
How does he manage the stress and how does he work behind the scenes?
dr ben carson
Well, he's an exceptional individual.
I don't think there are very many people who could tolerate the kind of pressure that he's had.
The attacks, the persecution, day in and day out, and still be resilient.
That's the kind of person you want for your president, for your leader.
And then he's also got a track record.
I mean, we had a booming economy, very low unemployment, low inflation.
We had respect on the world stage.
Not everybody liked us, but we were respected on the world stage.
Because we demanded respect at that point.
We understood the importance of national sovereignty, and the border was secure.
You know, the list goes on and on.
We put our workers first.
You know, China didn't like it.
A lot of places didn't like it, who were taking advantage of us.
But they respected what we were doing.
We didn't have all these conflicts going on.
You know, you think about what Putin did and is doing, largely because of our energy policies currently, which make his oil much more valuable and much more critical.
We're basically funding his war with Ukraine, with our silly policies.
That stuff wasn't going on when Trump was in office.
And I think he had a much better understanding.
Of the implications of things.
I don't think that the Democrats are necessarily evil and bad people.
But I don't think they understand ramifications of things that are done.
They just say, let's do this.
Let's bring all these people in to the southern border because they might potentially be good voters for us.
Not thinking about what are the domino effects from that.
And what is the impact on the American population?
They don't think about that.
benny johnson
We've been noticing a phenomenon.
Our superpower on this program is we're alive and we pay attention.
We notice patterns.
And a phenomenon in predominantly black neighborhoods, whether it's New York, Detroit, or whether it's Chicago, South Side of Chicago, Barack Obama's claim to fame, is that these voters are rejecting these open border policies.
They are black voters.
They are lifelong Democrats, and they are walking right up to the news cameras and saying, we are done with the Democrat Party.
You are replacing us.
You are degrading our power in our communities, and you are destroying our community centers, turning them into migrant shelters, our football fields, our practice fields, our schools.
Are we seeing an inflection point with the black community based on the horrific and destructive power politics of the Democrat Party to essentially import more voters to replace them?
dr ben carson
I think we're definitely seeing that, particularly among young black males.
And people are opening their eyes and actually evaluating what they're saying and what they're hearing, rather than just accepting the party line.
For a long time, the left has counted on people just taking whatever they say at face value.
People are now I think a lot of that started with the COVID pandemic as people began to realize that they were perhaps not always receiving the truth and that people were manipulating them.
And I think that suspicion has spread.
And that may be a good thing if we use it in an appropriate way to get the kind of leadership that this country deserves.
You know, we have a democratic republic, but it doesn't work if the people themselves don't take the initiative to learn how to vote the right way.
You know, most people, they go into a booth and they just look for the name that looks familiar.
They don't care what that name is.
I know that one.
Yep, I'm checking that one.
That doesn't work.
People have got to learn who is on their side.
Who they agreed with because the vast majority of Americans actually are logical and actually do have values.
What they lack, a lot of them, is courage.
People will rather stand in the corner staring at the floor than to say something and potentially be called a nasty name or be cancelled.
And we have to get over that because you can't be the land of the free if you're not the home of the brave.
benny johnson
Yeah.
I mean, you mentioned in your last answer that the Democrat Party is importing voters in order to try and gain power.
And this is just a power politics play.
The open borders issue is a power politics play.
And that disproportionately affects black communities.
And that's why they are the angriest and also breaking for Trump in pretty shocking numbers, according to every poll, including some polls that are true.
Tried as hard as possible to rig against Trump.
The New York Times, The Washington Post, and CNN all admit that Donald Trump is polling better with black Americans than ever.
Is that part of it?
dr ben carson
That is definitely part of it.
And I hope it continues.
I hope people in the black community begin to do some studying and discover that the Republican Party was established as an abolitionist party.
And that they were the ones who really fought to get slaves free.
They were the ones who fought for the freedmen after emancipation.
They were the ones who pushed the voting rights and the civil rights movement.
They're the ones who try to create an environment where people can excel on the basis of what they do as opposed to what someone else has done.
And really, there was a time when I was a kid growing up, there was much more interest in the Black community, and you can do this.
And now there's much more emphasis in, you're a victim, and somebody's causing you a problem.
It makes a big difference, because my mother, if anybody was a victim, my mother was one.
Large rural family in Tennessee, bounced from home to home, less than a third grade education, married at age 13, then discovering that your husband is a bigamist.
She would never accept the role of victim.
And she never let us make excuses.
And I think it made a heck of a difference.
benny johnson
When you were in charge of, I think that you were in public housing when you were growing up.
You can correct me if I'm wrong there.
I think you lived in public housing for a time.
dr ben carson
We lived in Boston for a couple of years in multifamily tenement housing.
benny johnson
And you write in your books about, you know, how bad of an experience that was, the rats, cockroaches, and everything, and what a horrible way to grow up.
In that government-funded housing, and then you go on to be in charge of housing and urban development for the Trump administration for four solid years, that's quite a jump.
What did you find when you were HUD secretary?
What's broken in the system?
dr ben carson
Boy, there was a lot broken in it.
When I came there, one of the things that shocked me was that there had not been an audit for many years because there were so many material defects, you couldn't do an audit, even though it is required that every federal agency have an audit once a year.
So that was job one, fixing that.
That made a huge difference when we were able to actually know where the money was going.
I thought it would be a relative slam dunk.
The reason I was interested in doing HUD was I wanted to get people out of poverty.
I wanted to make people self-sufficient.
And I thought people would really jump on that bandwagon.
Not so much.
A lot of people on the Hill are dedicated to keeping people dependent on them.
And it really is very sad.
And it's going to require a concentrated and sustained effort to change that narrative.
There are people who live in public housing, whose mothers live in public housing, whose grandmothers live in public housing.
And that's the only life they know.
And a lot of these are people who probably have substantial potential to be out there doing good things.
And we really caused the problem.
It was Lyndon Johnson and the Great Society.
That said, there, there, you poor little thing, I'm going to take care of you.
That was the wrong thing to do.
benny johnson
Seems like there needs to be sort of a moral change in America in order to shake ourselves of that.
You tried really hard and made many public statements that got you a lot of bad headlines, a lot of nasty headlines for just saying things that, like, your grandfather, my grandfather was, like...
Pull yourself up by your bootstraps, right?
Like, be a self-made man.
Like, be self-sufficient.
Like, don't depend on the government.
That makes you a slave, right?
That makes you an indentured servant of the state, right?
When the government is in control of your housing, your food, your childcare.
And that's not the American dream, actually.
That's like serfdom all over again.
dr ben carson
It's the worst thing that can happen to a person.
If you believe you're a victim, then you are a victim.
And, you know, I talked about how...
The average net worth of a person who owns a house is $200,000.
The average net worth of a renter is $5,000.
That's a 40-fold difference.
That has a lot to do with the wealth gap that exists in this country between blacks and whites.
It is real.
It is substantial.
But I'm not 100% sure that it has to do with the color of one's skin.
Because if you look at Nigerians and Ghanaians and Some other Black people who come here from other countries, guess what?
There's no wealth gap.
benny johnson
There's no wealth gap.
Some of them are the richest minority groups in the entire country, right?
dr ben carson
That's exactly right.
And if you go into a home of a Nigerian in this country, what you will find is that a bachelor's degree is the baseline.
That's where you start.
And there's a lot of emphasis on family.
And interestingly enough, if you take traditional Black American families who have those values, education and family, there tends to be no or much diminished wealth gap.
So maybe we're looking at the wrong thing when we just blame everything on skin color.
benny johnson
Yeah.
I think that looking at skin color for really anything as like a broad brush to paint with is primally evil.
It's anti-Christian, obviously.
And it's something that is a trap.
That's, I think, set for us.
And we often step in it, unfortunately.
dr ben carson
Well, you know what's really funny is you remember Christmas time, the mayor of Boston had a party in which no white people were invited.
Remember that?
benny johnson
Yeah, that's right.
dr ben carson
I wish a bunch of white people had gone and said, we identify as black.
unidentified
See what they said.
dr ben carson
That's a lot easier than identifying as a woman if you're a man, right?
benny johnson
We'll play by your rules.
How about that?
We'll play by your rules.
That's right.
Transracial.
So when you look at the political landscape now, you're starting to see some major shifts.
And you are starting to see that 20%, 25% of black voters saying, I'm going Trump, right?
And you're starting to see the sort of breakdown of the old world.
Building of like an America First movement.
And we do this.
We did this yesterday.
Nikki Haley's hometown.
We went through and we asked people.
And it's like a hometown that has...
It's called Bamberg, South Carolina.
And there are a lot of black people who live there.
And we asked people if they want America First.
If they want money spent in Ukraine or they want it spent here.
In poor Bamberg, which had potholes everywhere and dilapidated buildings.
Literally buildings crumbling and falling into the streets.
Okay?
When we were there.
And every person to the letter said America First.
So, like, we want America first.
dr ben carson
Sure, it makes sense.
benny johnson
Every person.
dr ben carson
Well, I mean, when you get on an airplane, what does the announcement say?
In case of an emergency, oxygen masks will drop down, put yours on first, and then help your neighbor.
Because if you're asphyxiated, you can't do better much for them, can you?
benny johnson
This is Donald Trump actually calling, saying he likes this interview.
We're going to hold on that.
We might bring him on later.
The America first line just got him going.
You're very close with Donald Trump.
Have you had any conversations with Donald Trump about being vice president?
dr ben carson
We've had conversations about how we can save this country and that we're going to work together to make sure that that gets done.
benny johnson
Would you serve in a cabinet position in his new administration?
dr ben carson
Once we get him in place.
We'll have all those conversations.
But my goal and the reason that I'm out here doing what I do, when I really wanted to retire, I worked so hard as a neurosurgeon.
I just looked forward to playing golf and cruising around the world and seeing all the movies I missed and reading the books.
But looking at the direction of the country, I couldn't enjoy myself doing that.
I will always do what needs to be done.
I'll retire when I get to heaven.
benny johnson
That's a good plan.
That doesn't surprise me, knowing about your background.
As a neurosurgeon, of course, you outworked everyone.
Obviously, Cuba Gooding Jr. played you in a biopic.
Your life story is so remarkable.
You know a lot about the human brain.
Arguably, you know more about the human brain.
Than any man alive.
And so maybe you could tell me, what's going on inside of Joe Biden's human brain?
dr ben carson
Well, you know, as people age, you know, they frequently have problems with cognition.
But this is more than just the normal cognitive decline that one sees with aging.
And there are clearly some organic issues going on with his brain.
And the people around him know that.
Otherwise, they would be happy for him to have a mental status exam and expose the results.
You'll never get that out of them because they know what it would show.
But the serious issue is how can you know that and still try to hide it knowing the danger that it poses for the American people?
in American way.
benny johnson
And it tells you that It's a moral question for the people that are closest to Joe Biden, obviously his staff, but also his wife, right, and his family.
Why would you ever do this to somebody?
I've seen mental decline in my in the older members of my family.
I've been there holding the hands of people in hospice.
It's a horrible thing to do to somebody in that state to put them in the toughest job on planet Earth, the presidency of the United States.
dr ben carson
It's a more I mean, these are there's a morally repulsive decision and and one that has implications for millions and millions of people.
That's the problem.
You know, you go back to the withdrawal from Afghanistan.
All the generals say that they recommended against doing it the way that we did.
I mean, why would you take the military out before you got the people out that they're protecting?
An eight-year-old knows that.
But, you know, he overrode all of those people.
That should have told us right there that this man was not fit to be the commander-in-chief.
But they've continued to...
Trying to cover it up.
I think everybody knows that I was in Europe last fall and I was talking to a bunch of Swiss people.
And, you know, Swiss are pretty neutral, right?
I said, what do you think of the United States?
They said, we think you've lost your minds.
And they're concerned about it.
They said, if you guys go down, what happens to us?
benny johnson
That's exactly correct.
They saw what happened in Afghanistan.
13 American service members died.
dr ben carson
Needlessly.
benny johnson
Do you think that Joe Biden's cognitive incapacity has gotten Americans killed?
dr ben carson
Yes, without question.
And it'll get more killed potentially.
I think we should all be praying diligently that we can make it through these next nine months or so until we can get some relief.
Hopefully we can get some relief because I do worry about election integrity.
And I caution audiences wherever I go that we the people have to be involved.
We don't have to accept it if you're a monitor at a polling station and they say, "You cannot observe, but you have to observe from way over there where you can't see what's going on." We don't have to accept it when they say the signatures don't have to match.
The addresses don't have to match, and it's okay if 10,000 votes come from the same address.
We don't have to accept that stuff.
And they say, yeah, well, it happens, but it's not enough to affect the election.
Yeah, right.
benny johnson
They did a lot of that in Detroit.
I mean, there's like scandal after scandal that they're just simply trying to cover up, much like, I mean, it really, I did want to ask about the Hur report, because now you have Joe Biden's own government.
And I want to talk—let's talk election integrity, but I got a sticking point here.
You have Joe Biden's own government saying that he's mentally incapable of standing trial.
People don't quite—let's put it in context.
These are the people who sat with Joe Biden longer than anyone else.
He doesn't talk to reporters.
Robert Hur sat with him for hours on end, who really got to, like, talk back and forth with him.
And his conclusion, this man wouldn't stand trial.
We couldn't bring—we couldn't—he deserved to be charged.
We couldn't.
Because he doesn't know who he is when his son died and can't remember his own vice presidency.
dr ben carson
And it probably could be all cleared up what happened by releasing the transcript.
But they won't release it because it will show that her was absolutely correct.
I mean, why would he be making this stuff up?
There's no gain for him to be making it up.
But there is gain for them to be hiding it.
And that's exactly what's going on.
You know, it's not anything that's surprising.
I mean, he's just stating the truth.
You're not supposed to do that.
That's why he's in trouble.
But all he's doing is stating what actually happened.
benny johnson
Yes.
So that does seem remarkable because, as we talk about with election integrity and a number of things, they're trying to cover it up and they're ruthless.
They're just...
They're going as hard as they can to cover these kind of things up.
Yet this report gets released and gets stamp approval from Merrick Garland.
It does seem like there's quite a bit, and that leads to a cascade of every media company saying, well, actually, it looks like Joe Biden's got to go.
And you see front page articles every week.
Now we cover every single one of them.
Hey, Joe Biden's got to go from his best friends inside of the corporate press.
And that seems like a strange turnabout.
Do you think that there's a switcheroo that's going to happen?
Do you think Biden's going to make it to 2024?
dr ben carson
I don't think he'll be the candidate.
benny johnson
Interesting.
dr ben carson
Well, remember, his cognitive issues are not going to get better.
They're going to continue to get worse.
And all you have to do is look at a series of videos from, you know, times in the past, and you can see clearly, you know, from...
This date to this day to this day.
He's just getting worse and worse.
And that will continue.
They can't cover it up much longer.
benny johnson
The president, for whom you have endorsed and served under, posted recently online, I think our team has it loaded up, but posted recently online a meme of Joe Biden and Nancy Pelosi walking On a tarmac.
And then they enter a visiting angel's elderly care facility.
I don't know if this is a Photoshop or not.
We're not exactly sure.
Maybe we can pop it up on the screen.
Royce, you got it?
dr ben carson
I think that's Photoshopped.
benny johnson
I don't know.
We have our experts checking.
We have our experts checking.
dr ben carson
That would be too rich.
benny johnson
This is a very good troll, obviously.
Royce, we good?
Hold on.
It's a very good troll, obviously.
But it does sort of underlie what you're talking about.
And Donald Trump making this point a lot, doing a lot of Joe Biden impressions on the trail, walking back behind into the curtain.
dr ben carson
Donald Trump is an amazing person.
He's 77 years old.
That's his chronological age.
His physiological age is much younger than that.
benny johnson
That's interesting.
dr ben carson
And when you look at Joe Biden, on the other hand, his chronological age is 81, but his physiological age is much older than that.
There are a lot of 40-year-olds who act like 70-year-olds, and there are a lot of 70-year-olds who act like 40-year-olds.
You really have to take it on an individual basis and see what people are doing.
Trump's got plenty of energy.
He'll be around for a long time.
benny johnson
How is Donald Trump aging in reverse?
You know him as well as anyone alive.
How is he aging in reverse?
How is that possible?
dr ben carson
Well, I think he's energized by, quite frankly, all the stuff that's going on.
The left doesn't realize that if they just left him alone, he probably would deteriorate.
But they energize him, and they're not going to leave him alone, so I don't think we have to worry.
benny johnson
So they're not leaving him alone.
You talked about how they want to rip him off the ballots, and you opened with saying, hey, these people say they're defending democracy, yet they're trying to put their political enemy in prison.
We've seen the comedy of that happening in Fulton County, Georgia.
unidentified
Mm-hmm.
benny johnson
With Big Fanny Willis and lover boy Nathan Wade.
And just before the show, right before the show, breaks brand new story about how they have Nathan Wade's entire cell phone log.
They've been lying to the court the entire time.
This relationship goes way far back.
This is just a money laundering scam and scheme.
You know, go after Trump and get cash, right?
And then you can pay off whatever and destroy marriages and so forth.
dr ben carson
But will anything happen?
benny johnson
Will anything happen?
I mean, I guess that's my question to you.
You must be following this relatively closely.
Your thoughts on Fannie Willis?
dr ben carson
Well, my thought is that we have a very unjust justice system and that certain people get punished severely and other people can do whatever they want.
And it encourages those people who can do whatever they want to do whatever they want.
And it's very frustrating for the rest of us.
All we want is fairness and equal treatment.
You know, why is that innocent grandmother who has no record, who was among the crowd on January 6th, spending 10 years in jail, why do the Antifa and BLM people who burned down cities and destroyed property and killed people get nothing?
You know, that's unfair.
Does Joe Biden get to have classified documents that he's not entitled to?
He's not protected under presidential acts of any type?
And we just say, well, yeah, he's a doting old man, no problem.
Donald Trump, who was president of the United States, and like all other presidents of the United States, retained some records.
But he's the greatest criminal that ever existed and needs to go to jail.
You know, people see this.
And that's the reason that Trump's numbers are so high.
And I hope the judicial system, particularly the Supreme Court, recognizes the jeopardy to our system that is being posed by the unfair.
treatment of people, and I hope that they are courageous enough to take the right steps to correct us.
benny johnson
Yes.
unidentified
Yes.
benny johnson
It's interesting that you bring that up because of all people it's Jeb Bush writing an op-ed defending Donald Trump in the Wall Street Journal yesterday saying this is what they're doing to him legally is evil and it's destroying the system as you just said.
There are groups of people who have We play it often where Joe Biden talks about crack cocaine and using crack cocaine when this was a predominantly inner city drug and how he's creating mandatory minimums.
For, like, putting these people in jail forever, destroying their lives forever.
dr ben carson
Exactly.
benny johnson
That, of course, massively disproportionately affected young black men.
dr ben carson
Right.
benny johnson
Those same guys can hop online anywhere and see mountains of crack in Hunter Biden's boudoir, mountains of illegal activity caught on camera.
They did a scintilla of what Hunter Biden is on camera doing.
dr ben carson
Exactly.
benny johnson
And Hunter Biden gets jack, gets nothing, zippo, zilch, nothing, no one is even coming after him for the drug use.
dr ben carson
Exactly.
benny johnson
And their lives were destroyed.
dr ben carson
And I think they've also recognized that during the Trump administration, they specifically addressed the unequal treatment of use of regular cocaine versus crack and how the sentencing was different and how you needed to equalize that for people.
And, you know, the first step and the second step movements in terms of prison terms, all of these things were...
Noticed by the group of people that you just mentioned who saw the unequal application of the law.
benny johnson
Is this why rappers are endorsing Donald Trump?
dr ben carson
Among other things.
You know, rappers, some people don't like rappers.
But for the most part, they have learned how to use the system as it exists to their benefit, to their great financial benefit.
And a lot of them are very smart people.
Very good businessmen.
So I wouldn't ignore what they have to say.
benny johnson
I'm not a huge rap fan.
I understand that you're a big classical music fan.
But it is a phenomenon to see rappers who have never been political, right?
Or have been Democrat pawns.
Come out and just, without any prompting, endorse Donald Trump.
Right?
Little Pump, Waka Fwaka, 50 Cent.
These guys, Kodak Black, these guys, you know, are just coming out publicly.
Before a lot of Republican politicians, actually, endorsing Donald Trump, right?
That's pretty remarkable.
Snoop Dogg is like, hey, Trump's my boy.
What's that about?
I love that guy, he says.
That's a pretty unbelievable about face.
dr ben carson
Well, I think that just amplifies what I just said.
A lot of these guys are very smart.
They're good businessmen.
They know how to analyze things.
And rather than just being led around by the nose with a nose ring, they think for themselves.
unidentified
That's right.
dr ben carson
That's good.
benny johnson
I do have one photo to show you.
I do want to get your take on this.
There is a rapper.
His name is Little Pump.
And he has spoken at Trump rallies before.
And now...
He's got a tattoo of Donald Trump's mugshot on his thigh.
I just want to know your general thought on this.
I don't know if you have any tattoos.
I don't know if you have a Donald Trump mugshot tattoo.
dr ben carson
I have no tattoos.
benny johnson
But this is a very important...
This is actually a phenomenon.
Multiple rappers have gotten giant Donald Trump mugshot tattoos.
unidentified
Has that mugshot backfired?
dr ben carson
Without question, it's backfired.
And, you know, he should look like that.
After what they're doing to him.
There's no question about it.
But it's really a look of determination to get to the bottom of this.
I talked to him a couple of days after that mugshot was done.
And he's more determined than ever to give lie to what the left is trying to do to him.
benny johnson
What did he say about the mugshot?
unidentified
He said, "That's how I feel." I'm looking straight at it.
benny johnson
Yeah!
dr ben carson
He'll say, in the end, justice will prevail.
And, you know, people should not get discouraged.
I hear people all the time, they say, is there any hope for our country?
Are we gone?
It's always darkest before the dawn.
And sometimes it has to be pretty dark before people can see the light.
But I think that the left...
has underestimated the intelligence of the American people.
And this has been going on for a long time.
But if you go back and you look at the congressional record, January the 10th, 1963, over 60 years ago, Congressman Herlong from Florida read in the 45 goals of communism in America.
Most of those things have been accomplished.
And when Khrushchev said to Eisenhower, Your grandchildren's children will live under our system.
That's what he was talking about.
They know what they're doing.
We, the American people, are being manipulated to our own destruction.
And that's why it's so important that we help people to understand what's going on.
benny johnson
As a Christian, final question.
I know you're a deep and profound believer in Christianity and Christian principles.
This nation can't survive without them.
And how do we get sort of a revival or a renaissance of people understanding that the core natural rights given to us by God creates the fundamental basis for this nation to even exist?
dr ben carson
Well, Marxism and communism dwells best in darkness.
We have to shine the light on what's going on.
We have to talk about it.
You know, they've perpetuated this myth That you can talk about anything except politics and religion.
That's exactly what we need to be talking about.
Those are the things that are under attack.
And as we relinquish our hold on those things, what's happening to us?
Obviously, we're spiraling downward.
You know, this is an amazing nation.
Our very founding document, the Declaration of Independence, says our rights come from our Creator.
A.K.A.
God.
You know, our Pledge of Allegiance says we are one nation under God.
Every coin in our pocket, every bill in our wallet says in God we trust.
Are they only empty words?
You know, it was that faith that inspired the Tocqueville when he came and studied our nation, trying to figure out how come this nation...
Barely 50 years old, was already competing with all the powers of the viewer.
How was that possible?
And the thing that really caught him were the sermons that emanated from those pulpits and how they inspired a ragtag bunch of militiamen to defeat the most powerful military force on earth.
It would be like Cuba defeating the United States.
But also giving the people a moral base.
You know, we have to put our history in context.
You have all these CRT people, 1619 people, trying to say, we are slavery, and we built everything around that, and how evil we were, and we were uniquely evil.
What a bunch of garbage.
You know, the fact of the matter is, every civilization in the history of the world has had to deal with slavery.
The only thing that's unique about us in slavery is that we had so many people who were vehemently opposed to it that we fought a bloody civil war and lost a large portion of our population to rid ourselves of the evil.
So, you know, it wasn't good.
It was horrible.
There's no question about that.
But a lot of us realized that and we fought to abolish it.
And we should be, you know, telling stories about the Underground Railroad and all the people.
You know, the white people who risked their lives and risked all their property to try to help people get to freedom.
We don't like to seem to talk about the good parts.
We only want to talk about the bad parts.
And, you know, one of the things we do at American Cornerstone, we have a Little Patriots program, and we tell the whole story.
The good, the bad, and the ugly.
But there's a heck of a lot more good than there is bad and ugly.
benny johnson
We love those books in the Johnson household and we read them regularly to our children and we just thank you for that work and obviously for the work that you do inspiring young people everywhere and Americans everywhere to look on the positive side and see the brightness, the darkness before the dawn.
dr ben carson
And that we, the American people, are not each other's enemies.
We like to say wane.
We are not enemies.
We've let hate wax for a long time.
Now it's time for it to wane.
Time for us to recognize that our strength in the past has been secondary to our unity, our sense of community.
You know, if it was harvest time and these little small communities dotted all over our country and Mr. Johnson broke his leg, everybody else harvested his crops.
No questions asked.
We didn't care what religion he was.
We didn't care what his politics were.
All we knew is that he was our neighbor and he needed help.
That was America.
benny johnson
That still is America.
It's amazing.
It's amazing.
It's not hard to actually find that still living.
We just need to reinforce it and make sure that if you have a...
Member of your family and community in need, you are there to help and to serve, and we serve Americans first.
And there's only one time that I've seen personally Dr. Carson not wish to serve, and that's when I brought in a live turkey for Dr. Carson to publish.
Royce, do we have that?
Okay, do we have that clip?
Dr. Carson, we promised the audience we'd show them this eight-year-old clip of Dr. Carson practice pardoning a turkey.
In case he became president.
Instead, he got out other plans.
He served one of the greatest presidents in American history.
dr ben carson
Well, there are a lot of turkeys in Washington, D.C. who need to be pardoned.
benny johnson
We're not pardoned.
unidentified
We'd be okay with that.
benny johnson
Thank you, doctor.
Thank you so much, sir.
All right, ladies and gentlemen.
What a legend.
What an honor to have Dr. Carson on our program.
We have been working.
We have been working with Dr. Carson for quite a while.
It's always such a privilege and a pleasure.
If you are seeing the turkey being pardoned right now, yeah, Royce?
Yeah.
Yes?
All right.
So, pretty legendary, pretty amazing, and a pretty important thing for our movement to see, right?
I mean, whether it's you bring in the turkey thing, that's kind of like a...
It's like a gag, right?
It's like a funny little video for everyone to laugh at.
Or they have a conversation like this, where we talk about how evil it is to actually look at people and define them by their race or by their immutable qualities, like their skin color or their gender, something that God gave them.
Right?
I mean, it's evil to actually define people like that.
It's unchristian.
We have to judge each other individually and on our own merits.
Right?
It's actually not progressive to do that.
It's regressive.
And you see that all over society.
It's why it's important for us to call it out when we see it in our own party.
In fact, identity politics, intersectional feminism, diversity, equity, DEI-like style constructs are wrong.
It's evil.
It's blood libel.
It's evil.
And having people in our party who focus on that stuff and fetishize on it, that's like the number one way you can tell that somebody's been wholly and totally controlled by the left and has been captured by the left.
And that's why I was very curious for us to see Nikki Haley talk about her sweet little southern hometown in such a disreputable way.
Nikki Haley, instead of saying that I'm blessed to have...
Grown up in America and to live this amazing life, and I'm very successful, and my parents were successful, and this was an amazing country and has done so much for me.
Instead of bringing that message to the campaign trail, Nikki Haley has often talked like this about her southern hometown, not too far from where we're broadcasting today in South Carolina, a place called Bamberg.
Nikki Haley said that every single day people treated her racially in this town because of her skin color.
Here, listen to Nikki Haley.
nikki haley
We were the only Indian family in our small southern town.
I was teased every day for being brown.
So anyone that wants to question it can go back and look at what I've said on how hard it was to grow up in the deep south as a brown girl.
Anybody can look at my record and see when Walter Scott was shot down by a dirty cop.
How I made sure that the Walter Scott family didn't suffer because we put the first body camera bill in the country in place.
Anybody can look at the fact that when we had nine amazing souls die in Mother Emanuel Church, I did something that no Republican or Democrat ever wanted to touch, which was call for the Confederate flag to come down because it would take two thirds of the House and Senate and was an impossible feat.
benny johnson
So that seemed peculiar to us, right?
You know, you go and look at Nikki Haley's class photos, right?
It's a very, very diverse place she grew up in.
Bamberg, South Carolina is like 50% black, 50% white.
And it, you know, as somebody who's from a really small town that didn't have any hate in it at all, it just had like good American spree decor.
We thought, that's very curious.
Nikki Haley has subsequently gone on and said that she was banned.
She was banned, disqualified because of her skin color in a beauty pageant.
Here's Nikki Haley saying that, making that claim.
Again, we're talking about the 80s or the early 90s here, the era that Nikki Haley is describing.
nikki haley
I don't know what you're implying with that, but what I will tell you is saying that I had black friends is a source of pride.
Saying that I had white friends is a source of pride.
If you want to know what it was like growing up, I was disqualified from a beauty pageant because I wasn't white or black, because they didn't know where to put me.
So look, I know the hardships, the pain that come with racism.
It's the reason that I fight bullies every day when it comes to racism, anti-Semitism, or hate, and I always will.
If I didn't mention slavery on that day, it's because that's an automatic.
There's always been, the Civil War's always been known about slavery.
benny johnson
So somebody that we respect a lot in this space, somebody that we personally know and we often look to in situations like this is Candace Owens.
Candace Owens saw that same clip and said, what is she talking about?
It doesn't make any sense because Miss America was black during this time period.
Vanessa Williams, I believe, was her name.
And Candace Owens saying, this doesn't square at all.
It seems like Nikki Haley is taking the victimhood mentality of the left and is taking the racialization of everything or everything bad that ever happened to you and then seeing it through the prism that the left presents to her, which is that everything is racist, which is a corrosive and...
An antithetical to not only Christian values, but American values.
Now, South Carolina votes in 24 hours.
We're going to be going to a Trump rally tonight.
But yesterday, we decided to spend our time here and go to Nikki Haley's hometown of Bamberg, South Carolina.
And ask the questions of the people of Bamberg.
Are you racist?
Are you as racist as Nikki Haley says you are?
Because she's going on national television and corporate media and claiming that everyone here is racist every single day.
I was discriminated against, Nikki Haley says.
I was kicked out of beauty pageants because of my skin color, Nikki Haley says.
That seemed like a very strange claim.
So we decided to go to the source and simply ask.
You can't go wrong by simply going to these places and asking.
And we did yesterday.
Here is, ladies and gentlemen, our investigation of Bamberg, South Carolina, and Nikki Haley's claims, and more importantly, what's actually happening to Bamberg, South Carolina.
Not only is Nikki Haley kicking these people while they're down by making salacious claims about them and her upbringing there, but also Nikki Haley has brought on a different type of destruction to the city of Bamberg.
Please watch.
Nikki Haley's never come back to help you?
unidentified
No!
benny johnson
Welcome to Bamberg, South Carolina, Nikki Haley's hometown.
Nikki Haley talks a lot about Bamberg, typically not good things.
She says this place is a horrible racist place where she was treated racistly her entire upbringing.
nikki haley
We were the only Indian family in our small southern town.
I was teased every day for being brown on how hard it was to grow up in the deep south.
benny johnson
We're here to find out if the people of Bamberg are racists and if they support Donald Trump or Nikki Haley's globalist policies that really steal and destroy from a place like this.
Little, small American towns are the heartbeat of this nation.
We're going to find out today.
Let's go.
Nikki Haley often says that this is a place where she was treated very racially, that people were very mean to her, and she's the victim.
Have you seen anything like that?
Are you a racist?
unidentified
No, no, no, no, no, sir, no, sir.
benny johnson
Nikki Haley on the campaign, she regularly talks about how growing up here she was treated so racistly and people were so mean to her because of her race here.
unidentified
Have you experienced any of that in Bamberg?
benny johnson
People seem really nice here, actually.
unidentified
Yeah.
benny johnson
Yeah, yeah.
Nikki Haley has been out on the trail, on the campaign trail, saying that when she was raised here, she was treated all racistly, and everyone was so mean to her.
unidentified
And she was treated racially.
She treated us racially.
No Nikki Haley.
benny johnson
That's interesting.
unidentified
And one more day, let me tell you something.
She ain't getting no black people nothing.
The man's nothing.
Fine.
benny johnson
Thank you, sir.
unidentified
Nobody's a racist around here, man.
My wife went to high school with her, and I knew her from when she had the store here in Bamberg.
benny johnson
So your wife went to high school with her?
Yeah, yeah, yeah.
And so all these stories about I was treated so racially and everything, like, your wife.
unidentified
Crap.
It's based on...
benny johnson
Nikki Haley, when she's out on the campaign trail, she talks a lot about racism and her racist hometown and how people were so mean to her.
unidentified
I don't think anything.
benny johnson
You haven't experienced anything like that?
unidentified
No.
benny johnson
Have you experienced that in your growing up?
unidentified
No, no.
I think the racism thing is far overplayed.
benny johnson
What do you think?
Donald Trump, Nikki Haley?
unidentified
Donald Trump.
Yeah.
Donald Trump 100%, buddy.
benny johnson
Yes, sir.
unidentified
Trump.
President Trump.
benny johnson
Yes.
unidentified
All the way.
Let's go, Brandon.
Donald Trump.
benny johnson
Yes, sir.
America first.
unidentified
Yes, sir.
benny johnson
Yes.
unidentified
I think that voting for Haley is a wasted vote.
I think Trump's going to be the nominee, and so it's probably who to go for.
Rolling with Trump.
benny johnson
All right, my man.
America first.
unidentified
That's right.
benny johnson
Donald Trump or Nikki Haley?
unidentified
Donald Trump.
benny johnson
Yes, sir.
unidentified
Absolutely.
Yes, sir.
He's a businessman.
Yes, sir.
And he don't take no s***.
Cut that out if you like.
benny johnson
We have a bleep button.
We have a bleep.
unidentified
Yeah, but anyway.
donald j trump
What a lot of bulls**t.
unidentified
I think all of them full of to be honest with you.
Yeah.
Yeah.
I'm going to go to the next one.
benny johnson
Everywhere we go in Bamberg, people tell us, man, you got to go check out what's happening downtown.
Not in a good way, in a bad way.
Here you can see just a complete dilapidation of the city.
Now, to be fair, there was some really heavy winds and a very strong storm that blew through and caused some damage.
But what you can see here is a hometown that has obviously been forgotten about and utterly neglected, destroyed and ignored by the leaders and the people here in this place.
People like Nikki Haley, who's from here, who's governor of this state.
There haven't been businesses in these buildings for decades.
And this is historic downtown Bamberg.
And what you're really seeing is a ghost town.
And while there might have been some damage done by a storm, the true damage was done by the politicians who neglected this place, forgot about this place, and who sold all these jobs to Communist China.
And the person who was responsible is the hometown hero here, Nikki Haley.
What do you think about Nikki Haley wanting to give hundreds of billions of dollars to foreign nations?
It seems like Bamberg could use some help.
unidentified
Yeah, exactly.
Bamberg and the United States.
benny johnson
America first, right?
donald j trump
Yeah, I don't see why we're sending all this money to other people.
unidentified
It doesn't make good sense.
Yes, that's right.
We need it just as bad as they do.
Why you gotta go over there another country for?
Yeah.
Are you spending over here in America?
benny johnson
Yeah, I was looking at...
unidentified
Look how everybody, look how we living.
benny johnson
America first, right?
unidentified
Yeah.
benny johnson
Yes.
Yes.
unidentified
Don't need no Nikki Haley to go spend a billion dollars in another country.
benny johnson
Nikki Haley's never come back to help you?
unidentified
No!
I do construction work.
I'm the owner of Green Macery.
And we did some repairs on Main Street already.
And for that street to be closed for this long period of time, I mean, something should have been done.
donald j trump
Really, we are in the middle of everything.
unidentified
And you have construction workers all around here.
We could have been to come in, get this thing to be rolling, and open Bamberg back up.
Let Bamberg be Bamberg again.
We don't need to be sending money elsewhere.
It needs to stay here.
benny johnson
Yes.
unidentified
We need to find a cure for cancer.
Money needs to go towards that.
benny johnson
Yes, that's exactly right.
unidentified
Yep.
benny johnson
What's your message, Nikki Haley?
Final message, Nikki Haley.
unidentified
Give up.
Tax dollars definitely need to go towards American infrastructure.
There's definitely a call for that to happen.
America comes first, but we can still help people.
We're a huge country.
We got a lot going for us.
But we can't let all of our resources go to everybody else.
We can't.
We're leaving ourselves wide open.
We're leaving ourselves wide open.
benny johnson
Teeny Family Restaurant has been here for 70 years.
It's like in the middle of a ghost town.
This is the only place that is so open.
My name is Benny.
What was your name?
unidentified
My name is James.
benny johnson
And you are the owner of this proprietary of this finest avenue?
unidentified
Yes, sir.
Me and my wife.
Things aren't doing as well as we lack fun to be doing, but we're hanging in there with it, you know what I mean?
benny johnson
Downtown here has gotten a little rougher.
unidentified
A whole lot rougher.
benny johnson
Well, politicians are supposed to be responsible for taking care of their communities and making sure that buildings don't collapse and don't fall in.
Somebody who's from here and talks about Bamberg a lot is Nikki Haley.
Has she helped out?
Politics aside, has she helped out Bamberg?
She's a pretty powerful person.
unidentified
As I know of.
If she has, I hadn't seen where it was happening.
benny johnson
Thank you, sir.
unidentified
Yes.
benny johnson
So we were just in the final store in Main Street.
The people of Bamberg obviously deserve better than what their politicians have delivered to them.
And it's amazing how Republican or Democrat, whatever, they all said the same thing.
America first.
Donald Trump, Joe Biden, doesn't matter.
America first.
That's what these people want.
So yeah, no matter where you are in this nation, no matter where you come from, America first.
That's the winning message.
It's your boy, Benny, from Bamberg, South Carolina.
See ya.
See ya.
And yell about what we believe without going out into the real world and checking the claims that Nikki Haley has about her hometown.
We're not doing our jobs.
So that's our promise to you.
It seems as though that promise has been appreciated and noticed by one Donald Trump, who Donald J. Trump, president, just shared the link to that video.
And you can see on your screen right now that, well, during...
Our break, as we were all watching that together, Trump posted it.
unidentified
So, here we go.
benny johnson
Yeehaw.
The truth shall set you free.
And we're here to tell truth.
We're here to speak the truth.
The purpose and the endeavor of this video is simply to say, we're sick of people trying to cast America as an evil, awful, sick, broken place.
We are sick of people like Nikki Haley.
Trying to paint all of us with a brush that we're all horrible, venal, racist individuals.
Bamberg was the sweetest, nicest place.
Every person we talked to would have invited us over for lunch.
Every person we spoke with was kind and clapping us on the back, laughing with us.
Some people didn't agree with us.
Some people were clearly Democrats.
They told us they were Democrats.
They all said one thing in unison, which is the policies of Nikki Haley, the worldview of Nikki Haley has destroyed this sweet place, this beautiful little town of Bamberg, South Carolina, just like millions of other little towns across America.
You're probably from one.
I am.
I'm from a small town that has seen certainly better days, and I bet you are too.
And it is the policies of Nikki Haley.
Oh, I hate these people.
She clearly does.
Nikki Haley doesn't love her fellow Americans.
Nikki Haley despises her fellow Americans.
Nikki Haley hasn't put America first and never would.
Nikki Haley is happy to drain the lifeblood, the energy, and the economy out of her own hometown.
What's she going to do to your hometown?
That's the real question.
And ladies and gentlemen, when you go through these American towns like Bamberg, South Carolina, and you look at a city that looks like it's on the Ukrainian eastern front, there are cities on the eastern front of Ukrainian war zones that look better than Bamberg, South Carolina.
And the weapon used against Bamberg didn't come from Russia.
It didn't come from Vladimir Putin.
The person attacking Bamberg, South Carolina is Nikki Haley and her policies, her politics, her politics of hate and hatred towards her fellow American.
We love our fellow Americans.
America is a great place.
It is a great nation.
It's actually why so many people obviously want to come here.
We're not in favor of the way they are coming here, but they wish to come here all the same because this is the greatest nation on earth.
Because it is actually a wonderful place to live.
And we are actually warm and welcoming as people.
And so Nikki Haley not being willing to acknowledge that, accept that, embrace that, welcome that in her own dialogue and instead taking these visceral, damaging messages out and slandering her hometown we thought was despicable.
And so that is why we went.
That is why we went.
To just go find out.
Just go check.
Ladies and gentlemen, it rang true for us.
Just like it rings true across the rest of the nation.
Bamberg, South Carolina, and every little town.
Maybe you're watching from a little town.
Most likely you are.
The country is knitted together by little towns like that.
Little towns like mine that I grew up in.
Solon, Iowa.
You ever heard of it?
No, probably not.
But that's like the fabric of the country.
That's what holds this place together, along with a combined faith, along with a combined set of values that has always, like, united us together.
Dr. Carson was just here talking about, in God we trust, is printed on government buildings, on our currency, in our founding documents.
If we forget God, we'll forget ourselves.
Benjamin Franklin said, how can a nation, if a sparrow cannot fall from the sky without the Lord's notice, how can a nation rise without his aid?
And so, ladies and gentlemen, it is with that spirit that we wish to talk about our partner for our trip here in South Carolina.
It's a pretty special organization that we've gotten the chance to spend the last couple of days with some of the creators.
This is a special place.
This is a special organization.
These people are true Davids versus Goliath.
They are doing what we talk about a lot on this program.
In our own humble way, we create content.
We go to Bamberg, get our cameras out, get our microphone, and go talk to people on the street.
But we are far removed from being able to create a cinematic masterpiece the way that Angel Studios does and bring that to the masses.
And we thought that we loved their products and we thought we'd reach out to them.
And we're going to create a very harmonious partnership.
You're going to be hearing more about Angel Studios from our team here.
It's been amazing.
To chill with the Harmon brothers and the people that are behind this studio.
And to see their passion for telling real American storytelling.
Real Christian storytelling.
Real storytelling that puts God at the center.
That puts creative beauty at the center of these messages.
And that puts the true story of America at the center of these messages.
They have a brand new film out.
And I'd like for you to check out the trailer.
It's called Cabrini.
They screened it for me.
I was, let's just say my jaw was on the floor.
It's about a nun who comes to America and is the first American that actually, because of her work against all odds in creating orphanages and saving children and providing for the sick and needy right here in the United States, became the first canonized American in history.
It's a really, really special story, and it's a story we should start telling ourselves about the greatness of this country and the greatness of the people here, ladies and gentlemen.
It's partially how you make America great again.
Check out the trailer for Cabrini.
unidentified
I was told that you were rejected by three different orders each time.
For weakness of constitution.
Your holiness.
We can serve our weakness or we can serve our purpose.
Not both.
My sisters, if we are to build an empire of hope, it seems we must first conquer New York.
The filthy dagos, they just keep coming.
My father was murdered.
In America, the greatest nation on earth, rats have it better than the children of five points.
It's not safe, not for you.
Be careful.
This place will lead you alive.
Doctors tell me five years.
Five would be a miracle.
In that case, I should not do it.
I need an orphanage with more room where my children can be children.
I'd like you to keep your crime and your filth out of this neighborhood.
The mayor will find a way to get you out.
You have an election coming up, do you not?
I believe I'm being threatened by a nun.
You have swatted the hornet's nest.
Get out!
Go!
I hold the best hospital for your people and for mine.
We have to show America we are all people of dignity.
This project is overly ambitious, perhaps unrealistic.
We are bold or we die.
This is how I learned to live in America.
Cabrini, you would have made an excellent man.
Cabrini, you would have made an excellent man.

So powerful and such an important unifying message across everything that we've been doing here in South Carolina, which is it's easy to be the critic.
It's easy to stand up in the peanut gallery and boo and to throw, you know, cans and batteries onto the people in the field.
It's easy to sit up here and to say, hey, we don't like what's going on.
It's a lot harder to create.
It's much harder to actually create than the solution.
And that is what this country is about.
That is what Vivek talked about one night ago when we had our Benny Brews with Vivek.
It's not enough to just say what Democrats are doing are evil.
We must provide an alternative as the Republican Party.
This is what Ben Carson just talked about with a revival and a renaissance of the American spirit.
And it's what Angel Studios is doing with movies like this.
I hate Hollywood.
Hollywood's woke.
We hate all the actors.
They all hate us.
Okay, what's the alternative?
Can we recreate Hollywood?
Can we recreate that entertainment structure and create beauty and art like they do and tell the alternate story?
Tell the real story of America?
unidentified
Yes.

Yes, we can.
And how will we do that?
By staying grounded and staying fixed to the purpose of this place after all.
The purpose of the place.
One nation under God.
All men created equal.
How do we keep that grounding on this program?
The verse of the day, ladies and gentlemen.
Verse of the day today from Romans 16, 17, and 18. I urge you, brothers and sisters, to watch out for those who cause division and put obstacles in your way and who are contrary to the teaching you have learned.
Keep away from them, for such people are not serving our Lord Jesus Christ, but their own appetites.
Be careful of the people in the Republican Party or outside the Republican Party.
Be careful of the people who are inside or outside your church.
Right?
Or the groups that you organize with and ascribe to that are trying to cause division.
That are trying to melt people down into just their race or their immutable qualities and then to paint with these broad brushes and to judge and to get power from that division.
Think about the people who actually get power from all of us hating each other in America.
It's not good people.
And think about what happens when we as a country actually unite and make America great again.
If you are a South Carolina voter, I hope you take that to the polls tomorrow.
Later this afternoon, we will be at the Donald Trump rally.
So if you're going to be there, we hope to see you as well.
We're going to be marching forward and we're going to be bringing this message of hope all around the country.
And we're doing it with your help.
And we say thank you.
God bless you.
And let's march together.
Onward to victory.
It's your boy Benny, fighting right alongside you, and this is The Benny Show.
