We're going to call it what it is, an invasion on our border.
On day one, we're going to start rolling out Arizona National Guard to stop people from coming across.
And on day one, we're going to start finishing President Trump's wall.
benny johnson
Ladies and gentlemen, Gentlemen, welcome to this special edition of The Benny Show.
We are going to try something brand new tonight.
You may know that I'm just your regular old Iowan.
I was raised...
On a hog farm in a cornfield.
I worked with my hands.
Just a simple guy.
Room temperature IQ, really.
And we're just here to bring the political world to you.
If there's one thing that us Iowans know, it's how to bring the politics and the stories to you.
And so in a world that seems to be collapsing at a rapid rate, and in a world where we need people to save our republic, and to get up and do something, and to...
Now is a better time than ever to begin to really modernize the way that we speak with our elected officials and the people who...
Aspire to office.
And so on this show, we are going to start an Ask Me Anything, where we use our platform, which has been given to us by God and by our Creator, and we want to use it for good, to bring on the most crucial and notable and important and dynamic members of the Save America Caucus from all around the country and maybe all around the world.
Who knows where this will go?
Today is your day.
Tonight is your day.
You're the ones.
You're the deplorables.
You're the hard workers.
You're the people who fill the vending machines, who fix the streetlights, who fix the damn cars, who work with your hands, and who make this country run.
It's you.
You're 80% of the country, and you deserve a voice, and you deserve to have accountability for those who want to govern this country.
And so we want to connect those...
Those two things, right?
So often, it's some guy in a studio with a bunch of lights asking questions that nobody cares about.
Nobody gives a damn about these frou-frou questions.
Why doesn't Bill Clinton get asked about Jeffrey Epstein?
Because the people who are asking the questions in the media don't care.
Somebody who asked a lot of questions in the media was Carrie Lake.
Carrie Lake is someone who spent the vast majority of her life in journalism.
And she said, this rotted edifice of fake news is too much for me.
I can't handle it anymore.
Donald Trump broke her, I guess, in the right way.
And she said, I can't handle the fake news.
I am going to throw my hat in the ring and I'm going to actually stand up.
Because of that, she has captured the heart of the Republican Party.
And I dare say the freedom movement going forward in this country.
She just won in the most consequential Republican race, I think, in my lifetime.
Because what she did was she destroyed a decades-old rotted machine.
And it is so beautiful to see the people rise.
And to see the...
Resurgence of true freedom, true patriotism, and true heroes in this country.
People who wish to stand up.
And so ladies and gentlemen, tonight we will be bringing Carrie Lake to you.
Only asking your questions.
Carrie Lake is standing by to join the show and I just wanted to say thank you.
This is for you, our audience.
I know there are thousands and thousands of people watching this right now.
Drop your comments in the comment section.
We have the technology to gather all the comments.
And as long as they're appropriate and don't include naughty words, then we will be able to put them on screen.
It will come with your avatar and your name and your comment will be on screen and I will be asking only your comments tonight.
So get into that chat section and ask away.
Ladies and gentlemen, that's why we're doing it.
And without further ado, Carrie Lake.
kari lake
Wow.
First of all, I've got goosebumps after you just described that historic win.
And second of all, I'll take even the inappropriate questions, Benny.
Why not?
benny johnson
Okay.
kari lake
They're probably more fun.
benny johnson
Well, you know, you know this because you were a journalist.
And it's so often this this mesh between the people and the politicians and the journalists are the ones who are filibustering to make sure they never get asked a hard question and only get asked the pre-approved questions.
That's why we're doing it tonight.
And we just want to say thank you, Kerry, for availing yourself to the audience.
kari lake
I would much rather have this where we're just getting questions from real people out there than sit with a propagandist who has an agenda, who is pushing that agenda and is going to take your your answers and cut them up and try to make you look bad or try to bring down your.
This is the way forward, frankly.
benny johnson
Well, congratulations on, again, your astonishing win in Arizona.
You broke the machine.
It's incredible.
And part of the machine that you broke is the corporate press.
You did so by asking them questions and turning around their narratives on themselves.
And quite frankly, it created glorious moments like this one where a CNN reporter asked you for an interview and...
You know, you had a rejoinder to that question.
Take it away.
kari lake
Hi, Gary.
Hi.
unidentified
Nice to see you.
kari lake
You don't have a mask on anymore.
What's going on?
unidentified
We're outside.
kari lake
Do you have a minute to chat?
Well, we're six feet apart.
Do you have a minute to chat?
I'll do an interview.
unidentified
Okay.
kari lake
As long as it airs on CNN+.
Does that still exist?
I didn't think so, because the people don't like what you guys are peddling, which is propaganda.
Thank you.
unidentified
That's involuntary servitude.
kari lake
Oh, that was one of the fun moments on the campaign trail.
You know, we've got to start calling these people out for what they're doing and to have that opportunity to do that.
When I heard that she had shown up because she'd ambushed me once before and they weren't invited into the event, I thought, you know, I can't resist but to do that.
But, you know, at first when I got into this, Benny, I was thinking, I'm just going to ice the media.
They're so unfair.
I'm not going to talk to them.
I had my first interview, and I kind of mixed it up with the reporter, and it ended up being, you know, fun to watch.
And it was a good glimpse as to what these people are really up to.
I'd given somebody five or ten minutes to interview me, and he just went on the attack the whole time.
He never asked, why are you running?
You know, what's behind you running?
What just made you decide to do that?
What do you want to do as governor?
It was all just attack.
And so we played the whole thing out.
I think it was five or ten minutes.
And it really put the spotlight on what the fake media is about.
Because we didn't run it, edit it.
It was full on the entire thing.
And I think that started opening people's eyes, which is a good thing.
benny johnson
It opened the eyes of Don't Ask Me on YouTube.
From YouTube, our first question of the night concerning that clip.
What is your secret to keeping calm, cool, and collected when you smash the fake news for interviews?
Our first question of the night.
Thank you, Don't Ask Me.
kari lake
You know, I don't know.
I guess because I worked in media for 30 years, and the majority of that time I was on the news set as an anchor, anchoring hours of news.
Sometimes you're covering really difficult stories, oftentimes live news.
You've got to keep your composure.
You don't want somebody melting down when the world is melting down.
You're trying to express what the news is to the viewer, and you don't want to...
We fall into emotion during that.
And so I think I'm pretty good at holding myself together.
I also think just coming from a big family, coming from Iowa, I find it easy to relate to people, all kinds of different people.
You and I are both from Iowa.
I joke that being from Iowa, you can talk to anyone, you can relate to anyone.
And that gave me a real skill as a journalist.
I didn't realize I did keep my calm so well.
I will tell you this.
I'll let you in on a secret.
On election night when I came out, I knew we had won, but I also knew they were not putting out the numbers very quickly.
And maybe that was intentional.
Who knows?
I was pretty...
Pretty hot under the collar.
But I wanted to come out.
I had all these supporters there.
And I wanted to express strength and confidence and let them know, look, we won this.
Don't worry.
I know it shows that we're way behind.
We are going to come from behind in a glorious way and win this.
But I was still seething because I thought, wow, we still had all these issues in the election.
And I was angry about that.
And so I look at that clip from the first time I came out on election night and I could see that I was angry.
I had some anger.
benny johnson
Well, you did come out with a sledgehammer.
Do you have that handy, by the way?
Is this something that travels with you?
kari lake
Hold up.
This thing's heavy.
There you go.
I got a little known fact here.
I actually do know how to operate one of these quite well.
Being a kid from Iowa, we lived out in the country.
We weren't farmers, but we lived near a lot of farmers, and we heated our house primarily with wood.
And so we would have to go and split wood and split cords of wood and stack wood and haul it.
And so I learned how to use this and a wood splitter.
And I'm actually pretty talented out in the wild.
benny johnson
Amazing.
kari lake
Isn't this great?
benny johnson
It's copper.
I think it's incredible.
I think that our next question has something to do with the sledgehammer.
Our next question says, would you take a sledgehammer to the balls of the crooked Dems and the DOJ?
Asking for Michael C. Jordan, when will Republicans grow a backbone and punish the crooked Dems and the DOJ?
kari lake
I think I have to answer that with this in my hand.
I'm sorry.
We're going to do it like this.
I would never physically hurt someone.
I know he didn't mean that literally.
But yeah, we're going to smash up some of the policies that are hurting our families.
We're going to smash up some of the policies that are hurting our state.
We're going to take a sledgehammer to Joe Biden's non-existent policy at the border.
We know that President Trump had an amazing border security plan in place.
I covered Arizona for 27 years and I saw it working.
Best I'd ever seen.
And on day one, Joe Biden pulled that back.
So we're going to just do a go around the federal government using the Constitution, Article 1, Section 10, Clause 3. And we are going to take care of our own border.
We need to start exerting our state's rights and reminding the federal government that we created them, not the other way around, and we are not surfed to the federal government.
So we're just going to clean things up and make it so that we have our freedoms back again.
We want to take a sledgehammer to the COVID mandates and the mask mandates and anything that infringed on our medical privacy and medical freedom.
unidentified
Mm-hmm.
Mm-hmm.
benny johnson
Well, this seems to be the hottest topic.
We booked this a couple of days ago, and we didn't know that Donald Trump's home was going to be raided.
Stephanie Cohen, Stephanie Coden, says, why haven't they raided the Biden family homes when they raided Trump's?
kari lake
That's a great question.
I mean, at this point, they wouldn't even have to raid.
The Biden home.
All they have to do is go to the laptop that they have in their possession and start digging through that.
You don't even have to be a great investigator.
It's literally laid out there showing inside deals with our adversaries, showing criminal drug use.
Showing not just inappropriate, but most likely human trafficking or sex trafficking.
There's a lot of stuff on there that's even too disturbing to talk about.
And what we're seeing is the weaponization of our federal government.
Our federal government has gone corrupt to the core.
And I like to say we need to fire the federal government and just the states need to start running the show until we can get this illegitimate.
President out of there and his whole administration is just corrupt.
It's frankly disgusting what we're seeing.
And if they go after President Trump, they've been going after us already.
Let's face it.
If you are America first, MAGA.
And you're a Republican.
You've probably lost some of your freedom of speech.
You've been attacked.
You've been canceled.
They've been going after us.
They thought they got rid of President Trump.
They didn't.
He's still out there.
And all of a sudden, there's a lot of new America First candidates cropping up.
And now they're in a panic.
Like, what do we do?
So they're starting to go after people.
And that's not what our federal government was created to do.
We created the federal government and now they're coming after us.
Think about that.
That's very scary.
And I hope some of the Democrats wake up to how frightening that is.
benny johnson
Kerry, one of the reasons why you won this nomination was because of your hard stance on the border.
People are clearly very concerned about this and in Arizona more so than ever.
Our next questioner comes from Facebook.
Kate says, what will Cary Lake do to help the flow of illegal immigrants into Arizona?
And I assume that doesn't mean help them get into Arizona.
kari lake
I was going to say, I'm actually not going to help them come into Arizona.
I'm actually going to stop them at the border.
That's the problem.
Because Joe Biden pulled back that policy that was working, the Remain in Mexico, and under President Trump, he was trying to stop the flow of illegal immigration.
Joe Biden's trying to encourage it.
And what's happening is we now have, because he's taken the control away from us, it's been handed over to the narco-terrorists, the cartels.
And unfortunately, the border police are forced to just process these people.
We're going to get the Arizona National Guard down there and Border Patrol, I should say, and stop the people from coming in.
And we're going to finish President Trump's wall.
And we're going to go after these narco terrorists by blowing up their drug tunnels, shooting down their drones that are delivering drugs over the border.
And we're going to go hard against the cartels because we're not going to be a state where all of the drugs are coming in.
We're not going to be the state where the fentanyl is pouring in and killing our young people.
And once we do that, the other states are going to realize that, oh no, all the activity is coming through their states, and eventually they're going to have to act, and pretty soon we will have a secure border.
And we will ask other states that are north of us to help out as well by sending resources.
If they have extra guards, a member they can send down, we'll accept that as well.
We're going to work with other states to protect our border and protect our country.
benny johnson
Sounds like you're going to be using the implements and the powers at your discretion to actually help your state and to actually help the people living in it.
Maybe do your own raids on illegal immigrant stash houses and the people who are smuggling drugs through your state.
kari lake
Well, and that's perfectly legal to do, and our law enforcement do that.
They probably do that with more regularity than we see any fairness out of the federal government with the FBI.
Our sheriff's departments are overwhelmed right now.
They're overwhelmed with people crossing, with gotaways, with high-speed chases trying to track these people down, drug busts.
It's overwhelming what we're dealing with in this state.
And it is so unfair that the federal government has...
Drop this on us.
Drop this crime on us.
Drop the drug smuggling, the human smuggling, the child trafficking on us and is allowing this to happen.
In my opinion, they're partnering with the cartels by allowing this to happen.
And it's going to take the states to come in.
Article 1, Section 10, Clause 3, look it up.
That's what we're going to use.
We're going to invoke our rights under the U.S. Constitution to protect our people.
benny johnson
It sounds like you're going to need some help, maybe some other states joining you in this.
Our next question is from Michael from Facebook.
He says, Carrie, can you help out other candidates get elected?
Now, you are called the Ron DeSantis of the West.
Not sure if you approve of that branding.
kari lake
I take it as a compliment.
benny johnson
I know that Ron DeSantis is going to be heading to Phoenix, Arizona, for a Turning Point Action event with you in the coming week.
Yeah.
Will you be also equally, based on Michael's question, going around and assisting in raising the tide?
kari lake
I'm definitely trying to get America First candidates elected.
I did a lot of work to have President Trump help get some endorsements for some critical people in our state legislature.
We needed to remove the rhinos in the state legislature.
And I asked him to help endorse some people.
And all those endorsements worked out.
As you know, he had a perfect record here in Arizona.
We need to make sure we have the right people.
If I'm going to be governor, I want to make sure I have a legislature I can work with.
And when you get a bunch of rhinos in there, it's really hard to get things accomplished.
But yes, I have endorsed other candidates around the country.
And I just want to make sure that the people in office are there for the right reason.
They're there to represent.
And work for the people.
And we haven't had that for a long time.
I mean, thank goodness President Trump came on the scene and showed us how to do things.
And now we're seeing a resurgence of kind of what I think our founding fathers envisioned, the real people, the farmers.
Remember, it used to be the farmers.
They would go and they would work, they would become, be elected in the House of Representatives or in Congress.
They would serve a term or two and then they would come back home.
Now we've got these career politicians.
I don't think our founding fathers envisioned a Nancy Pelosi or a Chuck Schumer or a Joe Biden, people who go and stay forever.
They're lifers and they bilk the system and they take advantage of the system and line their pockets.
So we're in a good spot where we need to get America First candidates who aren't interested in being career politicians, they want to get in there, do something positive and help.
benny johnson
Cindy is a huge fan.
Cindy from Facebook is a huge fan of what you've done.
Just joining the political game without having your family be in politics.
Cindy is wondering how she can help her own state.
The question is, how did you get involved?
How do we get involved in our own state?
What can we do?
What is the first step?
kari lake
I didn't even know what the first step was, Cindy, when I ran.
I decided to run for office because when I walked away from my career, the people of Arizona started reaching out to me saying, please run for office.
We need honest people.
We need people we trust who understand Arizona.
And it was such a steady drumbeat that I finally said, you know, maybe this is God's way of kind of tapping me on the shoulder and saying...
This is what I have planned for you.
So I considered it.
I looked at who was running.
I realized that nobody could get us past the finish line in November on the Republican ticket.
And I decided to throw my hat in.
I had to call the Arizona Republican Party and say, hey, how do you run for office?
I'm going to run for office and I don't know how to do it.
And they walked me through the steps, literally.
I pulled together a group of friends, you know, longtime friends that I've had, people from church, people who I've known for eons, and I said, okay, I need to pull you together.
I know you're not in politics, but we need to save Arizona.
So it can be done.
And I think the most important positions to run for in offices are at the bottom of the ticket.
The bottom of the ticket affects our life the most.
That's the school board.
That's the County Board of Supervisors.
That's the City Council.
Those are those races that affect our day-to-day life.
So get involved and dare to run for office.
Become a PC, a precinct committeeman.
We need to fill those positions around the country.
Just call your Republican office and say, how can I get involved?
benny johnson
Somebody who wants to get involved and wants better law enforcement in Arizona is PRK from YouTube saying, Carrie, will you require local law enforcement in Arizona to work with ICE?
Customs and immigration?
kari lake
Absolutely, they should be.
We should be checking status.
And if we have reason to believe that someone's here illegally, we absolutely, I mean, we need to start enforcing the laws on the books.
And we actually do have decent laws to protect us from crime and to make sure we have people who are here illegally that we make sure that we don't have them here.
We can...
We can actually arrest people and detain them if we have reason to believe and proof that they are here illegally.
But we're not doing that right now.
There's a lot of laws on the books that are not being followed.
We don't need necessarily a whole bunch of new laws.
We just need to start following the laws on the books.
benny johnson
The laws of your team, which is telling us that we have 10 minutes left, are saying, hey, lightning round right now.
Lightning round.
So here we go.
Lightning round.
Here we go.
What's your first impression of Trump when you first interviewed him back in 2016 from Avana on YouTube?
kari lake
Oh, great.
I really liked him.
I mean, I liked him as a president, of course.
I voted for him, and I was a fair journalist.
So when I went into that interview, I wasn't in it trying to get him, but I also did ask tough questions.
And I thought he was incredibly nice and he gave us more time than we asked for and couldn't have been more kind and also strong in his position.
He didn't flinch and he didn't bend because I was asking him a question that was uncomfortable.
benny johnson
Well, that's obviously remained true to this very day.
Carrie, are we losing our American way of life?
This from Save America on YouTube.
YouTube.
kari lake
Sure seems like it, doesn't it?
I look at our young people, Benny, and...
I think, wow, they're getting out of high school.
Many of them aren't prepared to get a job out of high school.
Many of them would take that next step, go to college, get in debt.
They never can realize the American dream because they come out of college with debt.
And that's why one of my policies is a dual-track education after 10th grade.
You decide if you want to take that route where you go to a four-year college, or maybe you want to go get...
Trade skills.
Learn trade.
Get certification for a job that only requires a certificate or a license.
Or maybe you want to get vocational skills so that at 18 you graduate high school and you can get a job that pays well.
And then you can realize the American dream.
We're losing our American way of life in that our schools are teaching kids not to love this country.
We need to change a lot of things up and get back on the right track.
benny johnson
You got 60 Minutes Australia back on the right track.
If you don't know what we're referencing here, it is the greatest savage interview you have ever heard.
Look up Carrie Lake versus 60 Minutes Australia.
The question is from Mark on Facebook saying, Carrie, will you speak with 60 Minutes Australia after winning your election?
kari lake
Oh, that would be fun to do a repeat with that guy.
He had a raging case of stage four Trump derangement syndrome like I'd never seen before.
He was out of control.
I should actually reach out to him and say, hey, do you want to interview me again?
Actually, though, we did hear from 60 Minutes America, and they want to interview me.
So we'll see about that and see how that goes.
benny johnson
All right.
A little taste of the town.
Trevor is in Scottsdale right now.
He's visiting.
What's the best restaurant?
kari lake
Oh, man.
Are you going to put me on the spot in Scottsdale?
I'll tell you places I like to go because I just go there a lot.
I like a little restaurant called Chelsea's Kitchen.
I think they're really good.
Great food.
I like El Bravo Mexican food, and that's kind of in central North Phoenix.
I don't go out all that much.
I like a little Italian place called Pino's Pizzeria, which is downtown.
But I usually just eat at home and throw something together here.
benny johnson
Iowans like to go to the grocery store, buy way too much groceries, and then cook for themselves.
kari lake
That's true.
And I used to cook almost every day.
I loved cooking, but now after running for office, I've been just too busy to do that.
So that's one thing I really do miss about running.
benny johnson
Deb is asking a question I think that will cut right to your heart as it pertains to the American people and standing up against the corrupt and permanent political class.
Deb says from Facebook, we know why term limits have never been brought up in Congress and is something more than likely the American people would not be allowed to vote on.
But I'd like to wonder why.
We'd like to have term limits.
I think that's part of the problem.
Do you agree?
kari lake
I do.
I mean, I really do think we should have term limits.
I think that the people running should just have the decency to know that they've done their term and it's time to let somebody else go and represent.
I do know a few lawmakers that I've gotten to know.
Representative Paul Gosar, he's served many terms.
I've never seen somebody more dedicated to his job and serving his constituents.
And so in that case, I think, wow, he's been incredible.
I can't imagine anybody who'd be better than him.
And I talk to him about term limits, and we talk about what it really is, is we need to hold these people accountable.
And when we're involved, which we are now, people came out in droves to vote for us.
We won 70% of the game day vote.
I call it game day vote.
And I want people to hold me accountable.
People are very excited about what we're talking about, what our policies are.
If I don't go in and do what I say I'm going to do, hold me accountable.
Drag me over the coals.
And we should do that with our lawmakers.
We should do that with our congressmen and women and our president.
I do believe we probably need to have term limits because I don't think these people can resist that desire to run and stay in power.
benny johnson
You've seen Mitch McConnell today.
He was asked to disavow the FBI's actions with Donald Trump and he refused to comment on it.
Still hasn't said a word about it.
kari lake
Unbelievable.
That guy needs to go and go fast.
benny johnson
Well, somebody who...
Probably wishes their leaders could go fast is Tammy from Canada.
Tammy in Canada, who is run by Fidel Castro's son, says, can you bring your sledgehammer to Canada, please, in your spare time?
kari lake
I don't know.
They might make me show proof of vaccination, which I refuse to do.
Oh, my gosh, Tammy.
I just want to reach out to our neighbors in Canada, and I'm...
I'm so sorry what you're going through.
It is heartbreaking.
Canada is a wonderful place.
I've vacationed there and spent many good times there.
I am heartbroken by what is going on, the tyranny that these people are living under.
This is why I'm so glad and I'm willing to save our U.S. Constitution.
We must save our Constitution.
Our First Amendment's on shaky ground right now.
That's why our Second Amendment is the most important amendment in the Constitution right now, because It is the only thing keeping the tyrants at bay.
Truly the only thing that keeps us from being Australia or Canada.
benny johnson
Novell has been watching on YouTube and really wants to know, how will you know you're rid of all the rhinos in your state?
kari lake
How will you know?
I don't know that we can ever get rid of everyone who's a rhino, but we can certainly not bring them into our inner circle and not bring them into our administration.
I think I was instrumental in helping remove three of them from office by...
Giving the voters a better option in the primary.
And we certainly gave them three great options to replace three rhinos.
I'm actively working.
I want to make sure I don't have rhinos on the inner circle.
And we will double and triple check.
And if we determine that we got one in there who's not working for We The People, then they're going to have to go.
benny johnson
Yes.
So, you know, obviously I think that was part of the problem with Trump.
First administration.
kari lake
Yeah.
benny johnson
They openly talk about that.
kari lake
Now, I think there's a difference between a rhino and somebody who's more of an establishment, traditional Republican.
I want to bring the Republican Party together, Benny.
I didn't realize it was so fractured when I got in.
I mean, I was just kind of looking from the outside in, thinking, oh, it's, you know, one big happy family.
Then I get inside and I go, holy smokes, I'm from a big family of nine.
Trust me, I know what family fights and dysfunction is.
But at the end of the day, we came together as brothers and sisters.
Or in my case, in my family, it was sisters and brother because we have eight girls and one boy.
And, you know, you put everything aside and you're still family.
And that's what we need to come back to in the Republican Party.
We agree on 85 to 90 percent of everything, maybe even more than that.
Now, the absolute never Trumpers, you know, rhinos who are actually working against our conservative.
Yeah, I'm not going to be able to find a place probably for them unless they can realize that America First is here to stay.
But I think we can bring people together.
In every election in Arizona...
Under the last regime that we had, that we just defeated, the grassroots would always have a candidate and the establishment would.
And usually the establishment would win and the grassroots would be told, all right, come on, get in line, step in, get in sync here with us and vote.
Now the opposite happened.
The establishment lost and the grassroots won.
Time to rally around and get with us.
And I think they will.
benny johnson
Beautiful.
Beautiful.
So here we have one that I think you will like.
It's not actually a question.
Can you see the comments on screen?
It says, we love Carrie Lake.
kari lake
Mrs. Liberty.
I love that name.
That's great.
Well, I love you back.
I really do.
I'm doing this.
Not because I'm a glutton for punishment.
Because tell you what, getting into politics, you would think you would be a glutton for punishment.
It is grueling.
It is the swamp.
But I love this state so much, I couldn't bear to see it fall into the hands of my opponent, Katie Hobbs.
And I told you I didn't see anybody on the Republican side who could win.
So I threw my hat in the ring because I love Arizona.
I don't want to have to load up a U-Haul and try to find another red state.
And we need to protect our border states.
Our border states...
Are protecting the rest of the country, to be honest.
benny johnson
Yeah.
Wanda, final question.
Wanda says, Carrie, if they made a movie about the Biden family, what would it be called and would you watch it?
kari lake
Oh.
I think it would probably have to be an X-rated movie and I wouldn't watch it.
And I don't even want to mention whatever.
You can go a million ways with whatever title it would be, but it would be inappropriate for me to say here.
You know what?
It's so gross that family is just...
It's sad, really, that they didn't get their kids' help.
And obviously, Joe Biden is such a disgrace as president, and he didn't do a very good job, obviously, parenting Hunter.
Or did something wrong.
I'm not sure what, but it's disturbing.
But I would probably skip that made-for-TV movie.
benny johnson
I think the movie would be called Hunter's Crack.
And we just leave it at that.
What a horrible...
We wanted to end on a last...
kari lake
We need one more question.
I don't want to leave it on Hunter Biden.
benny johnson
Okay, yeah.
Well, that's absolutely true.
Okay, so it's...
I think very important for people to understand.
ALX, do you want to grab one more?
Just a moment here.
kari lake
I love this format.
Are we getting questions, by the way?
benny johnson
I am sickened.
We have more questions than we can possibly ask.
I am sickened and disgusted at what happened last night at Mar-a-Lago.
And the fact that the lawyers are not allowed to witness the search while the FBI was there says something.
How do we reform the FBI?
kari lake
Well, we need to send people off into our federal delegations, which means when you're voting in November, when you're voting for your congressmen, congresswomen, your senators, you need to make sure that they are on a mission to reform these agencies, maybe even remove some of these agencies that we don't need.
And ask, you reach out to their offices or you reach out to those candidates and say, we need vast reform to these agencies that have grown too big and are trying to take over our lives.
They are not elected officials in these agencies.
And we will not allow them to run and destroy our lives.
So it's really incumbent on you to, when you're voting, make sure that those federal positions, Senate and Congress, are vowing to reform those agencies.
Dismantle them.
benny johnson
I apologize.
The reason that this was difficult is that it's too successful.
The questions are coming in like a waterfall, Carrie.
unidentified
Oh, wow.
benny johnson
They're coming in like a waterfall.
It's too many questions at a time.
You can barely grab them.
The technology, we have a chat with all the questions in it, and it's really, really fast.
kari lake
Well, that's good.
You know what that means, Benny?
A, it means people are watching your show, which is good for you.
B, it means people are interested in politics.
And it's so important.
It used to be like, ooh, gross, politics.
Now it's like, oh my gosh, this is life or death.
We've got to be involved in politics because we've seen over the past few years what our political leaders are doing to destroy our lives.
We saw the power of our governors when they shut our businesses down and they shut our churches down, closed our schools, masked our precious, precious babies' faces.
We saw what they did on the airplanes when they forced two-year-olds to wear a mask.
It's just been torturous.
And we realized, holy smokes, we've got to get involved and take care in who we're electing and make sure we elect people who won't do that kind of stuff to us anymore and will give us our freedoms back.
And that's what I'm going to do.
benny johnson
Ron DeSantis of the West, do you agree?
kari lake
Oh, that's so nice.
I'm looking forward to meeting him Sunday.
He's coming to Arizona.
This is great.
We were going to have it at a big venue with 500 seats.
It sold out so fast that they had to move it to a bigger venue, which is fantastic.
And I think he's a great governor.
I'm honored that people would compare me.
I'm going to work to be as good as Ron DeSantis.
Maybe...
Even better.
unidentified
Oh, here we go.
kari lake
I take it as a great compliment if somebody is comparing me to him.
That's what I want to do for Arizona.
I want Arizona to be free.
I want to make sure that we are a state where people can live, where it's safe, where we're not going woke.
Our policies will work.
They won't be woke policies.
And we're just a beacon of freedom in the West.
And we're a red state, which is going to be a great thing.
benny johnson
So you say that they're going to suddenly call Ron DeSantis the Cary Lake of the East.
That's what you say is going to happen.
kari lake
I just want to see 50 great governors who everyone knows their name because every state has such an awesome governor that other states are talking about it and going, wow, that's a great governor.
They're actually working for the people.
And I think the person who crawled and walked in order for us to run is President Donald J. Trump.
He showed us the way.
He's an amazing man.
I'm so honored to have his endorsement.
And I've been called Trump in a dress, and I'll take that as a compliment.
benny johnson
Thank you, Carrie Lake.
Absolutely spectacular.
Appreciate you being on the program.
The comment section was on fire.
unidentified
Good.
kari lake
Thank you.
You need to do this with everybody.
Bring every politician on and have them go through this.
benny johnson
That's right.
Yes, that's exactly right.
Maybe they'll bring a sledgehammer, too.
kari lake
That's right.
All right.
Bye-bye.
I've got work to do, Benny.
I've got work to do.
benny johnson
Godspeed.
kari lake
Boom.
benny johnson
Oh, ladies and gentlemen, how fun was that?
Carrie Lake joining us for the first ever Ask Me Anything.
We mean it.
We'll take our phone up and we'll videotape the comment section.
It just goes with all the questions.
So we just want to say thank you.
We'll work on maybe better technology.
To bring them up, we asked as many questions as we could for the time that we had.
And we want to give you an opportunity to hear from the people who want to lead you, the people that want to govern you.
Because as Carrie Lake said, it emanates from you.
You are actually the government.
You are the people who decide.
And the power comes from you, not the other way around.
For the rest of, for the entire history of the world, the power came from the governor.
The governor, the king.
The person who was ruling by divine right, they said, hey, I am the king.
All power flows from me.
And in America, power flows from the people.
And we can choose people to represent us.
And then we can choose to rip them out of office.
If they do a bad job, chuck them away.
That's exactly what Carrie Lake's done with the horrific rhino Republicans in Arizona.
It's what Carrie Lake has done with the corrupted McCain mafia there in Arizona.
And Carrie Lake has taken that beautiful sledgehammer and smashed it all up.
That's the way it's supposed to be.
And it's supposed to be done with you being part of it.
And so...
That's what this was, ladies and gentlemen.
Not a single question asked without your input, your name, on screen.
That's what we're doing here on The Benny Show.
