Declaring war on the New World Order.
TruthRadioShow.com Shalom and welcome to the Dan Badani Show at TruthRadioShow.com Welcome to the book of 1st Corinthians.
We are on chapter 11.
So if you missed chapters 1 through 10, please go back in the playlist and watch them before you proceed any further.
So thank you for joining us in this in-depth comprehensive study of the Bible.
And again, 1st Corinthians chapter 11.
So before we begin, guys, Like always, we do this awesome Bible study approach.
Number one is we pray for wisdom and understanding.
So let's do that right now and join me, bow your heads and pray to our wonderful, awesome Lord and Savior Jesus Christ, Yeshua Messiah, we love you so much and thank you for everything you've done for us and that you continue to do for us, to advocate for us so we don't face hell and that we may be saved.
And thank you so much.
We ask you to forgive us individually of the sins and trespasses, transgressions, or abominations that we may have committed today.
And please purify our wretched hearts, Lord.
I love you so much.
And Heavenly Father, we come before you and we ask you to deliver us your awesome, wonderful word today.
In this case, the book of 1 Corinthians chapter 11.
And we ask you to allow the Holy Spirit to write your word upon our hearts today.
And we pray for everybody's health, and we pray for everybody's safety, that you can keep us all safe from the forces of evil, and give us the faith and everything that we need to combat the forces of evil in these end times, Lord, and to bring your word to light, and be the salt and light of the earth.
We love you, Heavenly Father, in your mighty name we pray, Amen.
So, that being said, guys, we read the Scripture in context, because context is key.
Very important to understand this stuff.
And when the Scripture interprets Scripture, don't lean on your own understanding.
Just allow the Holy Spirit to work through you, and if you need to know what a word means, absolutely look it up.
So, Let's begin here, and if you've got a Bible, please turn to 1 Corinthians chapter 11.
We always encourage you to read this for yourselves, guys.
Very important.
This is why we always put this graphic up.
Don't take my word or anybody else's word for it.
Read it for yourself.
So, we encourage you to open up your own Bible, even though it's on screen.
Either way you want to do it, the Bible's right there.
If you want to open your own, go for it.
And if you got any questions, comments, or concerns, anything at all that you feel I left out, whatever the case, please put them in the comment section, not the live chat.
During the premiere, there's a live chat, but put them in the comment section, and I'll get back to you.
So without further ado, let's go on.
1 Corinthians 11, Paul continuing to address the Church of Corinth.
So Paul says, Be ye followers of me, even as I also am of Christ.
So, remember these people here, I think it's Bonham and Bonhamus, that the Church of Corinth follows.
You know, they're teachers at the church.
So, he said, yeah, if he follows me, because in other words, if he follows Christ.
He's not saying that he's Christ.
He's saying, I follow Christ.
I'm teaching the Word of God, the Gospel of Jesus Christ.
So, now I praise you, brethren, that you remember me in all things, and keep the ordinances as I delivered them to you.
So, again, we always come into this, man, you know, the commandments and everything else, and because of the modern-day dispensationalism out there, that somehow, In blasphemy, he tells people that the Ten Commandments are no longer valid.
They're just for the Jews.
Well, you know what?
If you've been following me since we started this series here, Matthew, Mark, Luke, John, Acts, Romans, and now 1 Corinthians, the Bible says no such thing.
The commandments are repeated over and over again.
So Paul has delivered the commandments on to them.
The ordinances.
But I would have you know that the head of every man is Christ.
Right?
So this is the pecking order in the family.
The head of the man, every man, is Christ, right?
And the head of every woman is the man.
And the head of Christ is God.
So if you get the pecking order, yeah, there's God.
There's Christ.
There's us men.
Then our wives.
Then the children.
That's how the pecking order goes in the family.
So, we really need to understand that.
God's at the top.
Christ is right under him.
Well, right beside him, where he sits at his right hand.
And we follow Christ.
We're under Christ, and the woman's under us, the wife, and the children are under the woman, both of us.
So, every man praying or prophesying Having his head covered dishonors his head.
So, if you're praying or prophesying and he's saying, don't wear a hat or covering on your head.
And there's a reason for that.
So, but every woman that prays or prophesies with her head uncovered dishonors her head.
For that is even all worn as she wears shaving.
So it's basically her having her head uncovered is the same thing basically if she had her head shaved.
You know what I mean?
It's dishonor.
There's a reason for this guys and ladies out there.
It's not belittling women.
You gotta understand this.
Because I know today's society, everybody's offended by things, whatever the case.
Or saying that, you know, the Bible's sexist or whatever.
No, it's not at all.
We explained this a million times as we went through the series.
It's not saying the man is better than the woman at all.
There's a pecking order God created for a reason.
And for if a woman be not covered, let her be shorn.
Now, so if you want to know what shorn means, this is a Bible study, guys.
Never be ashamed or afraid or embarrassed to look up with a word, because I don't know what that means.
Shorn meaning.
So you go to Google, whatever the case, you can look up the meaning.
Cut of the wool, break off or cause to break off.
Let me see where the... Shorn... I mean in the Bible.
There you go.
To cut her hair.
So it's to be shorn, literally cut her hair.
So... For... If the woman be not covered, let her also be shorn, her hair cut.
But if it be a shame for a woman to be shorn or shaven, in other words, cut her hair or shaved, Let her be covered.
So for a man indeed ought not to cover his head, for as so much as he is the image and the glory of God, but the woman is the glory of the man.
So this goes right back to Genesis.
And it's not being sexist.
It goes back to Genesis, right?
Genesis, well, God created man out of the dust of the earth, right?
Breathed life into his nostrils.
And it says that he created woman out of man.
He took one of his ribs and created woman with it.
That's why it's man, woman.
The word man, then woman.
Means it's from man.
Woman means from man.
That's what it means.
I know a lot of people in today's society don't want to accept that, but that's what woman means.
It means made from man.
That's why it's man, woman.
That's where that comes from.
And it's not degrading her, this is where it made an image of God.
For the man is not of the woman, but the woman is of the man.
And again, it goes back to Genesis 1.
Genesis 2, I'm sorry.
It's the details.
So, the man is of the woman.
Let me just go there quick.
Yeah.
I know.
I don't like to use you.
We don't bounce around to the Bible guys.
Uh, we like to read everything in context.
I just want to get that right.
Cause I hate, uh, miss quoting the Bible.
So it is Genesis 2.
So it is Genesis.
this is too.
And the rib, the Lord made Adam fall into a deep sleep and he slept and took one of his ribs and closed up the flesh thereof.
And the rib, which the Lord had taken from man, made he a woman and brought her into the man.
And Adam said, this is now bone of my bone and flesh of my flesh.
She shall be called woman because she was taken of man.
So the word woman literally means taken of man.
Made for man.
That's what woman means.
And it goes right into marriage.
So a man shall cleave to his mother.
I'm sorry.
A man shall cleave to his... Therefore a man shall leave his father and mother.
I'm sorry guys.
Leave his father and mother and cleave to his wife.
And there shall be one flesh.
And that's a whole new subject that we could... This here... This one verse holds so much context.
But we're going to get to that.
I should have started with Genesis on the series.
I started with Matthew.
So I'm excited.
I hope we get through this, um, you know, New Testament soon enough so you can start the book of Genesis and go through the Old Testament.
So, yeah.
So anyway, I'm done rambling.
Yes.
For the man is not of the woman, but the woman is of the man.
So ladies don't take offense to that.
All right?
We just went through Genesis, right?
Neither was the man created for the woman, but the woman was created for the man.
Because remember, Adam couldn't find a suitable, you know, postpartum or whatever the case, or mate, I should say.
So God made woman out of man.
For this cause ought the woman to have power on her head because of the angels.
Nevertheless, is the man without the woman, neither the woman without the man, in the Lord.
So this is here affirming that we're not better than each other.
The man without the woman, neither the woman without the man, in the Lord.
So it's not saying men are better than women or anything like that.
It's not being sexist.
Because people will jump the gun and say, oh, the Bible is sexist.
so that's not what it is.
This is kind of intriguing too.
For this cause will out on the woman the power on her head because of the angels.
So that's kind of intriguing.
And if you guys know what that means here, a good definition of that, you know, like try to figure out what that means, please put it in the comment section.
But for the cause of this woman to have power on her head.
Because of the angels.
Nevertheless, the man is without the woman, and neither the woman is without the man in the Lord.
And here's the cool thing about the Bible, right?
The really cool thing.
It's not like any book.
So, this chapter here, right?
You can read this three, four, five times, and every single time, you're gonna come up with new stuff that you didn't see before.
That's why we need to study Scripture over and over again, because you got people out there all the time with scoffers.
Oh, I read the Bible!
Doesn't mean you know the Bible.
It takes reading over and over and over again.
And I can read this two, three more times and still come up and find new stuff.
Whatever the Lord wants to give me at the time of the information, right?
So, for as the woman is of the man, even so the man also by the woman, but all things of God.
So again, affirming that we are equal.
We're not better than each other.
We're both of God.
By judging yourselves, it is comely that women pray unto God uncovered.
Actually, is it comely?
Let me see what a comly means.
Comely.
So, it's an obsolete variety of comely words Pledge book conforming to notions of good appearance suitable or appropriate?
So, and this one is appropriate.
So, judge in yourselves, is it appropriate, commonly, that a woman pray unto God uncovered?
That's the question, right?
And does not even nature itself teach you that if a man has long hair, it is a shame unto him?
So this goes into the whole image of Jesus, guys.
The one with the Catholic Church and a lot of religious paint.
Jesus with his long hair looking like a hippie.
No, Jesus didn't have long hair.
It was Jewish customs for men to shave their, I mean, sorry, men to cut their hair.
They keep it trimmed.
So Jesus did not have long hair.
That image you see on the wall, Catholic Church, you know that?
That's, uh, Cesar Borger.
The Catholic Church made an image out of him, that's not what Jesus looks like.
And plus the second commandment, you're not supposed to make images of him in the first place.
So the argument of people like, oh, was Jesus black or white?
Did he have this or that?
That's irrelevant.
And plus he was Hebrew at the time, so he was neither black or white.
Purposely, so he could represent everybody.
And now he's all light.
He's back in the spirit, he's all light.
Radiant light.
So, but if a woman has long hair, it is glory to her.
For her hair is given her for a covering.
So her long hair covers her head.
But if any man seem to be contentious, we have such custom.
Neither the churches of God.
Let me see what contentious, I think I know what it means.
sometimes you just say forget words and you're like alright Nothing wrong with that, it's no shame.
So, contentiousness.
Cause not likely to cause an argument or controversial.
So, but if any man seem to be controversial, contentious, we have no such custom.
Neither the Church of God.
The Churches of God.
So now, in this, that I declare unto you, I praise you not.
That ye come together not for the better, but for the worse.
And what does that mean, come together not for better, but for worse?
That means we all need to stand together.
The bad stuff too.
To endure the bad stuff together.
For first of all, when you come together in the church, I hear that there be division among you.
And I have partly believed it.
I partly believe it.
So, just a quick reminder.
The purpose of this whole letter to the Church of Corinth.
Because Paul, he was away for a while.
And Paul found out there's major division going on within the Church of Corinth.
So he went back there to set things straight.
To restore order back in the Church of Corinth.
Because of the major division.
If you remember that from chapter 1 and 2.
So this is him reminding people, yeah.
Yeah, you guys need to come together, because it's division among you, and he believes it, because he's been told about it.
So, for there must be also heresies among you.
Heresies is false teachings and everything.
That they which are approved may manifest among you.
So when you come together, therefore, into one place, this is not to eat the Lord's Supper.
So for eating every one hour, I'm sorry, for eating everyone taketh before other his own supper.
Wish I could eat every hour, it'd be funny.
But anyway, for in eating everyone takes before other his own supper.
And one is hungry and another one is drunken.
What?
He's asking?
Have you not houses to eat or drink in?
Or despise the church of God?
And shame them that have not?
What shall I say to you?
Shall I praise you in this?
I praise you not.
I'm not going to praise you.
He's saying, well, why are you here and all that?
Because then...
Shame the people that don't have any.
You guys are just eating your houses, basically.
Why do this in the church?
And, yeah, I'm not going to praise you for it.
Jesus Christ.
I have received the Lord that which also I delivered unto you.
Jesus Christ.
That he received and he's delivering his messages unto you.
That the Lord Jesus, the same night in which he was betrayed, took bread.
Thank you.
When Judas betrayed him, that's the same night they did their communion.
That's where that came from, the Lord's Supper, right?
And when he had given thanks, he broke the bread and said, take and eat.
This is my body, which is broken for you.
Do this in remembrance of me.
So this is Paul here doing the communion at the Church of Corinthians.
And after the same manner, I don't know if he's doing it or just telling people about it.
He might be doing it as he's talking to people about it, so.
Anyway, after the same manner, also he took the cup, which he had sucked, which he drank from, saying that this cup is the New Testament in my blood.
This do ye, In other words, do this as often as you drink it in remembrance of me.
It's how Jesus is saying, every time you drink of the cup there, do this in remembrance of me.
Then we give grace and thanks when we eat.
You get your breakfast, dinner, supper, whatever it is, do it in remembrance of the Lord.
Because he says, as much as you drink, do it in remembrance of me.
And you notice how the words are in red, right?
See the red words there?
Because he's reciting what Jesus said.
He's reciting the exact words Jesus spoke.
Paul's not saying, do this in remembrance of me.
He's saying, do this in remembrance of Christ.
But he's reciting word for word, verbatim, what Jesus said.
That's why they're in red, if you notice that.
Because remember, Jesus is not there right now.
As you went through Matthew and all that, the words of Christ himself were highlighted in red, right?
So he's reciting word for word for what Jesus taught him.
For as often as you eat this bread and drink this cup, you shall show the Lord's death till he come.
Wherefore, whoever shall eat this bread and drink this cup of the Lord unworthily shall be guilty of the body and the blood of the Lord.
So unworthy means like, yeah, he's talking about being shameful before the Lord and all that.
You know, like having your head uncovered if you're a woman.
You know, and having your head covered if you're a man.
But let a man examine himself.
And so let him eat of that bread and drink of that cup.
Examine yourself, so check yourself, basically.
That's what he's saying.
Check yourself and make sure you're right before the Lord.
Before you eat of the bread and drink of the cup.
For he that eats and drinks unworthily, eating and drinking damnation to himself, not discerning the Lord's body.
So what this sounds like to me is when you do this communion guys Any kind of confessions Confess them do a prayer before you do this Get yourself right with the Lord that's what I'm getting out of this as well, you know, so don't be shameful If you dress shameful whatever the case which you know, the woman would be dressed like a provocative whatever the case says Yeah, there's many things about with this
So be right with the Lord before you do this.
Because you're not honoring God.
You're actually unworthy to do this because you're dishonoring Him.
So, for this cause many are weak and sickly among you, and many sleep.
For if we judge ourselves, we should not be judged.
So what does he say now?
If we judge ourselves, we should not be judged?
Yeah, like he said, check yourself, okay?
Over here.
Where was I?
Here.
Yeah, examine yourself, right?
In other words, check yourself.
Get yourself right before the Lord.
And if you judge yourself, be like, yeah, I shouldn't be wearing this, or doing this, or saying this.
Confess your sins, get yourself right.
That's you judging yourself, and you confessing all that, you're not going to be judged after that.
But when we are judged, we are chastened of the Lord, that we should not be condemned with the world.
I forgot what chastened means.
Hey guys, again, don't ever be afraid to look up the words.
So what if you don't know what something means?
Or forget, you know?
Past tense chastening, so to rebuke or misfortune.
Have a straining or a moderate effect on.
So, but when you are judged, we are chastening.
Which is having a moderating effect on, or rebuke or misfortune.
Of the Lord.
That we should not be condemned with the world.
Wherefore, my brethren, when you come together to eat, tarry one for another.
Tarry means to abide or stay at one place.
Right?
So, wherefore, my brethren, when you come together to eat, stay at one place with each other.
Right?
Stay at one place for one another.
"For if any man hunger, let him eat at home, that ye come not together unto condemnation, and the rest will I set in order when I am come." So if you're hungry, let's say he's hungry, you just have to eat at home, that they won't come together, you know, for unto condemnation.
And the rest I will set in order when I come.
So when Paul gets to, he said, when I get to them, I'm going to set them in order.
And obviously this continues on to chapter 12 which we'll get to in the next video.
So we only do one chapter at a time.
And normally we don't go to other books like we do with Genesis.
I just wanted to point something out.
But we like to stay at a specific chapter in full context of what we're talking about.
So if you guys have any questions, comments, concerns, or if you want to add something to this that you feel I missed, or whatever the case, by all means put it in the comments section and I'll get back to you.
And thank you for doing that as well.
So we all need to keep ourselves accountable, and everybody else accountable, test every spirit, and make sure they're of God, and when they're speaking the truth.
