Declaring war on the New World Order.
truth radio show dot com and welcome to the damper diner show truth radio show dot com and welcome back to the first corinthian studies here our in-depth study of the bible We're on to chapter three now in this comprehensive study.
So anyway, guys, we start off the show all the time with this awesome specific Bible study approach.
Number one, to pray for wisdom and understanding.
So let's do that right now.
So yesterday, Jesus, Messiah, we come before you and ask you to forgive us all individually of our sins we committed today.
Any sins, trespasses, any abominations or transgressions, we ask you to forgive us, Lord, and bless us and anoint us with your precious blood.
Heavenly Father, we come before you and ask you to give us divine wisdom and knowledge, to give us the Holy Spirit to write your word upon our hearts today.
In this awesome book, 1 Corinthians chapter 3, and we love you so much.
We pray that you could guide us all, protect us all from the forces of evil, and guide us with your love, your wisdom, and your understanding.
In your mighty name, Amen.
So, doing that guys, we read the scripture in context.
Very important to understand these things.
Context is key.
And let the scripture interpret the scripture.
You know, don't lean on your own understanding, but let the Holy Spirit work through you, and let the Scripture interpret itself.
So if you've got a Bible, open it up.
We do get it on screen, but regardless, if you do get a Bible, I encourage you to open it up.
And what we want you to do after the show as well, we want you to actually read this chapter for yourself afterwards.
So, and I just want to point out, I'm not a guru here, I'm not Mr. Noto in the Bible or anything like that.
All I am is a regular person like yourself, just trying to understand the Word of God, and praying with wisdom and understanding for the Holy Spirit to help us today.
We want to bring a better in-depth study, because like any other Bible study thing here, we don't just read through this and hop all over the Bible.
We go chapter by chapter.
We try to get in depth, like into what the words mean, uh, the different situations that these people are in and everything else.
So to give you a full visualization of what is going on.
So this is Paul, in his letter to the Church of Corinth, continuing his memory.
Remember, there's a big division going on in the Church of Corinth, as we showed in chapters 1 and 2.
So this is Paul's letter to them.
He's very concerned about this.
And like we said in the last two videos too, much like the churches today, there's a massive division.
As we learned in the last chapter, it's not found among anybody who's divided.
We need to be at one page.
So, continuing on, this is chapter 3, Paul's letter here, and he says, I and I, brethren, could not speak unto you as unto a spiritual, but as unto a carnal, even as the babes in Christ.
So, carnal means, if you want to know what carnal means, it's a New Testament carnal is referred to as the flesh.
We're a carnal spirit, right?
So, we're referring to humans, we're men.
So, in other words, he's not speaking to you into spirit.
Like, he's not spiritual authority, say.
Like, I'm speaking to you as a man, and a babe unto Christ.
In other words, like, we're still... It doesn't matter how long you've been studying the Bible for, we're still babes unto Christ.
We're new.
Babies, so to speak, right?
Children of God.
So he's saying, even as a baby, or a newbie, if you want to call it, unto Christ, he's speaking to you from himself.
He says, I have fed you with milk, and not with meat.
For hereunto ye were not able to bear it, whether or not ye now be able.
So what is he saying here?
I fed you with milk, not meat.
So what happens when you raise a child?
But when you're a child, right?
You grow up nursing on your mother's milk.
Then later on when you take a break, a year or so, you're able to eat more solid foods.
So what he's saying in this context here, is like he's giving you basic biblical information.
The gospel of Jesus Christ.
Not the meat and potatoes, the heavy sauce.
Like Brian, my co-host likes to say, the heavy sauce, right?
He's not giving you the meat and potatoes here.
And that's some deep stuff, that's what we're trying to get into, yeah.
But he's saying here, that, you know, these people here he's talking to, you guys are not able to take the simple stuff, the basic stuff here I'm trying to teach you, let alone how am I going to teach you guys the heavy stuff.
For you are not yet carnal, whereas there is among you aliens, strife, division, and yet not carnal, and walk as men.
He's asking us.
Because again, there's division going on.
Strafe, envying, all kinds of stuff going on here.
And he said, are you not yet carnal?
Are you not yet carnal?
Or as you walk as men.
For while one said, I am poor.
Another said, I am a polis.
Are you not carnal?
This is Paul asking a question.
So if you want to know what Apollos is, Apollos was a first century Alexandrian Jewish Christian, mentioned several times in the New Testament, a contemporary colleague of Paul.
So this is not Apollo, like the Greek god.
This is Apollos.
So I just want to make that understood, so people don't confuse this as Apollo, the false god.
No, this is Apollos.
This is Paul's companion.
So he's the Jewish one.
And he's saying, yeah, for a while, one said, people saying, I am of Paul.
And another says, I am of Apollos.
Because Apollos is witness to people and disciple them.
Paul's done the same thing.
So you've got people who are divided here saying, hey, I'm of Paul.
In other words, I follow Paul.
In other words, I follow Apollos.
And he's saying, are you not, Conor?
Are you not human?
And he says, who is, who then is Paul?
That's himself, right?
Who is Paul?
And who is Apollos?
Who are we?
Because people, you know, the divisions, like, I'm following Paul's teachings, and other people saying, I'm following Apollos' teachings.
When they're one and the same, by the way.
But there's a division going on, yeah?
And he's saying, who am I?
And who is Apollos?
Apollos, I'm sorry.
But ministers of whom you believed?
That's where we are, we're ministers.
These ministers who you believe, even as the Lord gave to every man.
I have planted, Apollos watered, but God gave the increase.
So he's saying him and Apollos worked together, he's planted the seed, What happened was, Paul brought the gospel to people, right?
The new people and all that brought the gospel, planted the seed.
Apollos did further teachings.
In other words, like what we're doing now, right?
So if you're just new to the Bible here, all I'm doing is bringing you the Word of God to try to get you to believe.
Then to water that seed, it takes further studies, as we're trying to do here as well today, if this makes any sense to you.
So, Paul planted the seed, brought people to God, and Apollos did further teachings after that.
Like advanced teachings.
But he said, but God gave increase.
The increase.
So, in other words, more knowledge.
So then, neither is he that planted anything, neither he that watered, but God that gave the increase.
Because again, the big division, Paul's people and Apollos' people.
And he said, no, we're all, we're just ministers, okay?
We need to all stick together and, you know, be one.
Now he that planted in the earth water are one.
See?
He's saying this.
He said, he's the one who planted, and Apollos is the one who watered.
Or one.
He said we're one.
Not that they're one person.
They're one teaching, under Jesus Christ.
He's trying to tell other people that follow him, and the people follow Apollos.
No, no.
We are one.
We're one.
In other words, we're teaching the same thing.
We're not teaching Paul's stuff.
We're not teaching Apollos' stuff.
We're teaching the word of Christ.
And he says, every man shall receive his own reward according to his own labor.
For we are laborers together with God.
He's saying I'm nobody special, guys.
Apollos is nobody special.
We are all laborers.
All of us.
We're together with God.
Ye are God's husbandry and ye are God's building.
So I want to point that out.
Very important to understand this right here.
So people all the time ask, what is the church?
Who is the church, right?
You guys like the Catholic Church.
They say, we are the church, right?
No, they are not.
There's no religion out there that is the church.
The church is we, the people.
It's not a physical building.
It's not a ministry.
It's not a... I mean, I should say, yeah, the people in the ministry.
I mean, it's not a religious leader or a church or a specific religion.
No.
The church is we the people.
Where two or more are gathering in the name as we're here.
This is our church.
As we're all watching this premiere on the YouTube here.
And now you're all associating with each other in the chatroom.
We're gathered together in God's name.
This is a church going on.
And we're all husbandry.
God's husbandry.
In other words, we're the bride.
The church is the bride of Jesus, right?
And you are God's building, our temple.
We are the temple.
It's not a physical temple.
Not a physical building.
We are of that church, right?
I just want to make you understand that.
So according, and by the way, how many religions claim to be the church, quote-unquote?
The church, emphasizing the church?
No.
The church is the people who follow Jesus Christ.
Plain and simple.
And according to the grace of God, which is given unto me, as a wise master builder, I have laid the foundation, and another built thereon.
But let every man take heed how he builds his apartment.
So this is another way, he's speaking like Jesus did.
When he spoke, he explained himself even better.
You know, so you could not possibly misunderstand him.
And this is why Paul and Jesus talk like this, because they knew these riddance are going to be for all ages to come.
And over the years, things, you know, different words changed, different meanings, this, that, and the other thing.
So they spoke this way and explained themselves with a further explanation so you could not possibly misunderstand the Bible.
Now, if you take the first couple of verses, whatever the case, eh, it's open for interpretation.
But when you read the Bible in context, there's no interpretation.
It's clear as day, a 12-year-old can understand it.
This is what a lot of churches fail to do.
They'll read a few verses and go to another chapter, and bounce all over the place.
We don't do that here.
This is the meat and potatoes of the Bible.
So, for other foundation can no man lay that is laid, which is Jesus Christ.
The foundation is Jesus, we're in the temple.
The foundation of our faith is Jesus Christ.
Now, if any man build upon the foundation gold, silver, precious stones, wood, hay, stumble, every man's work shall be made manifest.
For the day shall declare it, because it shall be revealed by fire.
And the fire shall try every man's work that was, sort of, is.
And if every man's work abide which he built thereupon, he shall receive a reward.
So, he's saying, our foundation is Jesus Christ, right?
And what we build upon, what we've learned and become, it's going to be tried by fire.
And that's the fire of the Holy Spirit.
It's going to try every man's works.
And if it still remains, okay, this is the reward that we shall receive.
If any man's work shall be burned, he shall suffer loss.
But he himself shall be saved, yet so by a fire.
So what does Paul say now?
Just grow the Word of God within you.
Right?
And you, ye, not know that ye are a temple of God.
He's asking, don't you know that you're the temple of God?
And that the Spirit of God dwells in you?
Again, we talked about the church, right?
It's not a building, you know, physical building.
We are that building.
You are a building.
I'm a building.
I'm a temple.
You're a temple.
He says, don't you people know that you're the temple of God?
And that the Spirit of God dwells in you?
He's asking these people here.
And if any man defiles the temple of God, him shall God destroy.
For the temple of God is holy, which temple are you?
So he's asking, what temple are you?
The temple of God, if you defile it, that's you, you defile it, it's going to be destroyed.
God's not going to put up with a temple that's not holy.
Talking about you and me.
Let no man deceive himself.
If any man among you seemeth to be wise in this world, let him become a fool that he may be wise.
So this here is very important to understand.
Because how many people get out in the world right now claiming to be experts in science and all these people over TV that try to tell you how things are, don't question things, just believe what we tell you because we're quote-unquote the experts, things like that.
No.
And what they teach is the opposite of the Word of God.
We could go on many examples on that, but regardless.
It says, let no man deceive you.
Or himself, I'm sorry.
Don't deceive yourself.
Even if you think you're wise, you got all these PhDs and degrees, the whole nine yards, right?
And if any man among you seems to be wise in this world, right?
He's smart in the whole world, you know, different things in the world, right?
Let him be a fool, that he may be wise.
So how do you become wise under the Lord?
You need to study what's of the Lord.
And preach what's of the Lord, not the world.
For the wisdom of this world is foolishness with God.
It is.
How many people out there on the TV, oh, this is how the universe was created.
When the Bible says the opposite, they'll say the Big Bang happened, the universe was formed, and millions of years later, or billions of years later, I'm sorry, the Earth came about.
When the Bible says the Earth was here first, and the sun, moon, and stars were created four days later, Yeah.
Very simple things like that.
That the world teaches, right?
It's all the wisdom of this world.
It's foolishness.
It is.
They think they're the experts.
But it's foolishness to God.
For as written, He takes the wise in their own craftiness.
For as written, and this is referring to what?
When they say for as written, he's referring to what?
The Old Testament.
And again, the Lord knows the thoughts of the wise, that they are vain.
So these people who profess to be wise are fools.
We heard that several times throughout the Scriptures.
Therefore, let no man glory in men, for all things are yours.
Whether Paul or Apollos or Cepheus, or the world or life or death, or the things present or things to come, are all yours.
And ye are Christ's.
And Christ is God's.
So he's saying, we are of Christ.
We are for Christ.
And Christ is of God.
The pecking order.
It's God at the top, Jesus, the Son of God, and we under Jesus.
We belong to Christ, and Christ belongs to God.
So I hope I explained this, guys.
If you need more understanding of this, specific verses and the whole thing, please hit me up in the comments section and I'll do my best to explain it further.
But I do encourage you to read this again for yourselves, to really take time to understand this.
Especially if you're stuck on something, dwell on it and let the Holy Spirit teach you and just read it and it'll come to you.
But I love how he just sits there and just rips these people who profess to be wise.
How many people, we all know people like that, right?
That are very well, quote-unquote, educated.
They've been to college, they got master's degrees, whatever the case, right?
And they try to, you know, make you feel insufficient.
Because you haven't stepped in the college or something like that.
You know, like that, anything that's important at all.
I had one person come up and say, oh, I'm sorry, Dan, what Bible college did you go to?
What degree do you have in the Bible?
Well, I don't have none of them, and I didn't go to any of them.
I don't need that.
And neither does any of you.
We have the Holy Spirit to teach us.
We've got a far better teacher than any professor, any priest, any pastor, any college, any university in the world combined.
We don't need to have a piece of paper on a wall approved by the world.
Because that's what it is, that piece of paper.
Now I'm not, you know, discouraging people to go to college.
I'm not discouraging you for that stuff.
I'm just saying, if you think that piece of paper on the wall makes you somebody better than everybody else, you're not.
Because it says right there, God is, it's foolishness to God.
I don't know if it says that, let me see.
Right there.
For the wisdom of this world, you might be so educated in something in the world, right?
It's foolishness to God.
What I'm trying to say is, guys, if you think you're pushing around because you got a diploma or whatever the case, and you're an expert, no, it doesn't work that way.
Only God could ordain experts, okay?
And these so-called Bible scholars, because you're a Bible scholar quoted by the world, right?
They're the ones who, you know, the world would say, oh, you're an expert, you're a scholar, because you went to our universities.
No, that's not how this works.
A true Bible scholar is anybody who reads and studies the Bible.
You don't need to step foot in a university to be deemed a Bible scholar.
That's who a Bible scholar is, somebody who studies the Bible and, like, just really digs into it.
That's anybody.
And, you know, again, you don't have to go to school to do that.
And nobody can deem you that way but the Holy Spirit.
And Paul's message here, too, is just like, you know, we need to be divided.
I mean, united, not divided.
And again, it was a big debacle.
Summarizing this one more time, it was a big debacle of people who followed Apollos and people who followed him.
He goes, no, we're both one and the same.
We teach our foundation is Jesus Christ.
And we need to stay united.
So again, if you've got any questions, comments, or concerns, anything like that, please put in the comment section.
If not, like, share, and subscribe, and we'll see you for Chapter 4.
And again, like I say all the time, guys, do not take my word or anybody else's word for this.
Read it for yourselves.
When we get done here, go read Chapter 3 again, by yourself.
Meditating the word, that means praying to the Lord.
And ask for help, like we always do.
You know, with the specific Bible study approach.
