If you're receiving this transmission, you are the resistance.
declaring war on the new world order truth radio show dot com and welcome to the damper donny show on truth radio show dot com and welcome to the book of acts and And we're doing chapter 14 today.
Chapter by chapter, in-depth, comprehensive study of the Book of Acts.
So, guys, like always, we like to start off the show with a very important Bible study approach.
Number one, to pray for wisdom and understanding.
So we do that by praying to our Lord and Heavenly Savior, Jesus, Yeshua Messiah.
We pray to you, Son of Man, Son of God, to forgive us of our individual sins and trespasses.
And we ask you to make us pure, make us holy before the Lord, and to dip our garments in your precious blood.
And Father, we come before you and ask you, number one, to comfort everybody out here and protect us all against the forces of evil.
And we ask you to give us the divine Holy Spirit, to write your word upon our hearts today in the book of Acts chapter 14, to write it upon our hearts so we may know it within our hearts.
And we ask you again to just comfort everybody and anybody that's going through any kind of problems at all, to give them confidence, give them comfort, to give them wisdom and faith and courage.
And we ask you in your mighty name, we pray.
Amen.
And we read the Bible in context, guys.
Very, very, very important.
Read the Scripture in context, because context is key.
And let the Scripture in chapter 2. Don't lean on your own understanding.
And let the Holy Spirit work through you.
And the Holy Spirit is the best teacher in the world.
And I say this all the time.
Academia, which is colleges and whatnot, they cannot teach the Bible the way it's supposed to be taught.
Even these so-called scholars out there with all these degrees, guys, they lack one thing that you have.
And that's the Holy Spirit.
They lack the spiritual application of the Bible.
And this cannot be taught in seminary school, this cannot be taught in Bibles, colleges, universities, or anything like that, or even churches or by religious leaders.
This needs to be written upon your heart by the Holy Spirit.
So if you've got a Bible, please open it up.
And if you're on shakeawakeradio.com, by the way, thank you Annie for carrying the show on your audio edition.
Please open your Bible.
And if you're watching on the video edition here on YouTube and truthradioshow.com, we've got it right on the screen.
We use the King James Version.
So let's begin in Acts chapter 14. So when it came to pass in Iconium, That they went both together into the synagogue of the Jews and spake in great multitudes, both the Jews and also the Greeks.
And this is our friend to Peter, because we'll continue from the last chapter.
So let me just recap this.
I apologize.
I think it's Peter and Paul.
Talking about Peter and Paul, yeah.
Continuing the preaching.
So, and it came to pass in Iconium that they went both together into the synagogue of the Jews, and so spoke.
And a great multitude of both the Jews and also of the Greeks believed.
So, yeah, Paul, formerly Saul, was really waking people up.
I mean, as you've seen what happened in the last chapter, the Jewish leaders didn't like it too much.
Because they were winning over Gentiles, they were winning over Jews, Greeks, everybody.
The spread of Christianity was massively rampant all over the place.
It was awesome.
But the unbelieving Jews stirred up the Gentiles and made their minds evil affected against the brethren.
The unbelieving Jews, yeah, they were ticked off that this was going on.
Because in their synagogues, there's always the Jewish priests and whatnot.
They're the ones and the elders and all that preaching to the people.
Now they've got the apostles of Jesus doing this and waking people up and bringing them to Christ.
They don't like that.
And like we spoke about the last chapter, right?
When Paul handed them their rare ends to Jewish leaders, right in the synagogues, right in the temples.
It's like, you guys are sitting there, you're condemning us, but this is the prophecies from the very prophets that you people speak of, that prophesies of the coming of Jesus, but yet you deny Jesus, and basically call them a bunch of liars, because if you claim to believe these prophets, that prophesies about Jesus and all that, and Jesus comes to fulfill the prophecy, who are you guys really preaching about?
Definitely not in the prophets.
Paul really handed it to them.
Speaking boldly, it was like, yeah, just flat out telling people what's up.
Not caring about the scoffers or anything like that, just speaking boldly, like we're supposed to do.
And when you get ridiculed and persecuted, yay, be joyful, as we learned about in the last chapter, right?
They were exceedingly joyful that they were persecuted because they know they were doing that job.
Like today, right?
If you're not being persecuted in any form or somebody scoffing at you, you're not doing your job.
Speak boldly in the Lord.
Let it out.
Don't be afraid of the adversary.
Don't be afraid of the opposition.
That's what Paul was doing.
Paul was great at this.
Didn't even care who said what.
I'm going to speak the word of the God.
You know, the word of Jesus.
But the multitudes of the city was divided.
And part held with the Jews and part with the apostles.
So the apostles were winning so many people, like we just said, the Greeks, the Gentiles, the Jews.
Winning so many to Christ.
And on the other flip side of the token, there was still people following the Jews.
So there was a massive divide, right?
And when there was an assault made by both the Gentiles and also the Jews with their rulers to use them despitefully and to stone them, they were aware of it and they fled into Lystra and Derbe, cities of Laconia, and into the regions of that liest around the belt.
And there they preached the gospel.
So, this was causing, like we just learned here, a great divide and a lot of turmoil, which caused a lot of fights.
People assaulting each other and everything else, and yeah, they didn't like the point that the gospel was being preached.
So, what they would do is go attack the Gentiles and everything, attack the Jews that didn't cooperate with them, because they were preaching the word of God now, the gospel, and they didn't like that too much.
So instead of fighting back, they just went and spread all over the place and started teaching the Word of God.
Yeah, the Jewish leaders and their followers physically attacked them.
As we can see, what they did to Jesus, what they did to Stephen, yeah, had them killed.
What they did to John, the Baptist, right?
So, and there sat up a certain man in Listia, Impotent in his feet, being crippled from his mother's womb, who never walked.
Never walked.
And there's so many of these people that we've learned through Matthew, Mark, Luke, John, now Acts here.
People who were all crippled all their life, blind all their life, festered with demons, whatever the case.
And the apostles and Jesus made them clean, made them walk again and everything else, right?
So you got this crippled guy, born crippled, But the same heard Paul speak, who steadfastly beholded him and perceived that he had faith to be healed.
And said with a loud voice, stand upright on my feet.
And he leaped and walked.
So this crippled guy all his life was listening to Paul speak.
And he's like, you know, I believe.
I'm going to believe.
And what did Paul say to him?
Stand up right now.
Get on your feet.
And for the first time in this guy's life, he did not only get on his feet, he leaped up on him and walked.
And when the people saw this, because remember, this guy was crippled all his life, he was a local man, right?
So everybody in the area already knew this guy could never walk.
It's like having a neighbor down the street that everybody knows that, you know, just say he never walked in his life, right?
Now you see this guy jump up.
Not just walk, but jump up.
You're like, what?
You know what I mean?
This is just, this act alone here is going to witness to a lot of people.
And when the people saw this, right?
What Paul had done, they lifted up their voices saying in the speech of Laconia, the gods are come down unto us in the likeness of men.
So right away they think these guys are gods or something, right?
Now notice where it says the gods.
I have to emphasize this a lot because people mistaken gods and God.
So in the Bible, anytime you see God or gods with a lowercase g, it's referring to false gods or who they think are gods or God, right?
The God of our Bible here, right?
You always see with a capital D. G, I'm sorry.
A capital G. Not a lowercase.
So the gods, okay?
We know there's no gods.
There's only one God, right?
So that's a lowercase G. That identifies real God against fake God or fake gods.
Right?
Like when the Bible calls Satan the god of this world, it's addressed with a lowercase G. That's very important to understand, guys, because what happens is a lot of scoffers out there, they'll specifically use verses like this to say there's other gods.
And the Bible confirms it, right?
Which the Bible does not confirm it, because if they knew better, alright, God and gods with a little case, G, is not our Heavenly Father.
They're not real gods.
Just want to point that out, right?
So anyway, when the people saw Paul, how he healed this man, first time ever walking, they lifted up their voices saying in the speech of Laconia, The gods are come down to us in the likeness of men.
So they think they're gods.
Right?
And then they called Barnabas, Juniper, and Paul, Mercurius, because he was a chief speaker.
Then the priests of Juniper, which was before the city, brought oxen and gollens into the gates, and would have done sacrifice with the people.
In which when the apostles, Barnabas and Paul, heard of this, they rent their clothes and ran among the people crying out.
In other words, they're like, hold on guys, whoa, whoa, whoa, whoa.
We are not gods.
And saying, sirs, why do you do these things?
We also are men of passions like you and preach unto you that you should turn from these vanities into the living gods.
They, capital G, talk about God, right?
Which made heaven and earth and the sea and all these things that are in.
So basically they're saying we're not gods, okay?
We serve God.
We're not gods.
Look, low case G, capital G. Small g, big g.
The only big g in the Bible is our Heavenly Father, which is specified here.
God which made the heaven and the earth and sea in all things that are therein.
Whom in times past suffered all nations to walk in their own ways.
Nevertheless, he left not himself without witness...
And that he did good and gave us rain from heaven and fruitful seasons, filling our hearts with good food and gladness.
Talking about our Heavenly Father, right?
Doing all these great things.
And with these sayings, scarce restrained the people that they had not done sacrifice unto them.
Because these people thought that Paul and Barnabas and Jupiter or whatever, that they were gods.
Right?
Okay, she goes, right?
And he goes, no, we're not.
We serve the Almighty Father, the very Father that gave you the fruits and seasons and whatnot, blah, blah, blah, right?
And, not Bob, I shouldn't say that because I don't want to sound disrespectful.
I'm not being disrespectful, you know.
I'm just trying to make a point here.
And so, with these saints, a scarce restraining of the people, they had not done the sacrifice unto them.
So, they wanted to do, the people, because they thought they were gods, they were going to do a sacrifice for them, right, unto them.
And there came dither a certain Jews from Antitokia and Iconium, who persuaded the people, and having stoned Paul, drew him out of the city, supposing he had been dead.
And how about his disciples stood around about him, and he rose up and came into the city, and the next day he departed with Barnabas and Derbe.
So the Jews, they were following him basically from Antitokia and Iconium, right?
Persuaded the people to have them stone Paul.
So they were trying to persuade people, say, listen, these people are devils or whatever they're trying to throw at them, to have them stone poor.
And when they had preached the gospel to the city and had taught many, they returned again to Listea and Niconium in Antioch.
Confirming the souls of the disciples and extorting them to continue in the faith that they must, through much tribulation, enter into the kingdom of God.
Tribulation is the troubles, right?
God's people went through tribulation, big time.
All through the Bible, right?
Preachers, their apostles, the prophets, all went through tribulation.
And which shows that here in the end times, guys, you know, regards what the dispensationalist pre-tribulation false doctrine says, that we're going to be magically raptured up before the tribulation starts.
No.
The tribulation is against the saints.
It's us.
We're going to go through a tribulation because Jesus says in Matthew 24, immediately after, after, not before, after the tribulation, he will come and gather his elect.
They're both the dead and the living.
Right?
Very clear as day.
They went through tribulation.
We're going to go through tribulation.
Jesus says, those who endure to the end shall be saved.
We covered this in Matthew.
And when they had ordained them elders in every church and had prayed with fasting, they commended them to the Lord in whom they believed.
So as they went around, they always...
Witness to a lot of people and all that stuff.
So what they would do is ordain elders so they could continue the preaching.
And after they had passed through Pisidia, they came to Pamphylia.
I hope I pronounce these cities right.
And when they had preached the word to Pergia, they went down into Atalia.
And then sailed to Antioch.
From then they had been recommended to the grace of God for the work which they had fulfilled.
Again, they were going from city to city, town to town, spreading the word of God, getting people witnessing.
Now, every time the Jews came, they went to do harm on them.
What they would do is they'd get away.
But the same thing happened with Jesus when he walked the earth.
He would win a bunch of people and when the Jewish elders, whatever the case, came out, they were going to do harm to them and Jesus slipped away until they finally had him crucified.
And when they were to come and they had gathered the church together, they rehearsed all that God had done with them and how he had opened the door to faith unto the Gentiles.
And there they abode long time with the disciples.
Because the thing is, yeah, you witness to somebody, whatever the case, you get them to believe and come to the cross, right?
But there's more after that.
You have to still teach them the gospel, the doctrine, and everything else, and go through all that.
And teach them how to walk and live a godly life, right?
So that's why they spent a long time with the people.
They did this.
And they appointed, like it says here, they ordained people to help them do that, to keep them in the gospel.
Basically creating churches, if you will, all over the place they went to.
And a church is not a building or religion, organization, whatever.
The church is us.
Just the gathering, gathering people is a church.
Like if we all right now, right, we're physically in front of each other, right?
And I was talking about this here.
This would be a church.
It could be somebody's backyard.
It could be in the field or the park.
Could be down in somebody's basement or a family room, whatever.
Or a meeting hall.
The venue is not designated.
You know, the church is the people.
It's not a religion.
I just want to point that out.
That's why I don't follow any religion.
I follow the gospel of Jesus Christ.
I don't belong to any religion at all.
I belong to the faith of Jesus Christ.
There's a big difference between the two.
So, as you can see, yeah, they bowed a long time, they stood a long time with those disciples to keep learning.
And, yeah, it's amazing how they opened the door of faith into the Gentiles to bring witness to them.
Because the thing with the Jews, right, they never really went to the Gentiles.
They just stood amongst themselves.
Constantly talk about the scriptures, which is great, right?
But yet, they don't listen to the scriptures.
The prophets prophesied about Jesus coming, every detail about him, right?
But yet, when the Savior came, they stood there like dears in the headlight and denied their fault.
It was crazy, right?
And Jesus himself said, you know, the prophets told you of me.
I'm here.
I'm here.
I'm a fulfillment as they, exactly how they said I would come.
But yet you still don't believe me.
And now they're doing this to the apostles.
Yeah, John the Baptist killed and Jesus killed.
Amen, he was from the dead after.
Then Stephen was rising up to be a great apostle and they had him killed.
Now you got Paul.
So this is like a little relatively short chapter here.
So we'll continue on to chapter 15. And thank you guys for tuning in.
And sorry for a short video here.
Usually we go about 45 minutes to an hour or whatever the case.
But if you've got any questions or comments, put it in the comment section and I'll get back to you.
So it truly is amazing stuff.
And every time we read one of these chapters, we learn something new.
And remember, trust the plan.
The only plan that's the Bible.
Don't take my word or somebody else's word for it.
Read it for yourself.
And I just hope I didn't go through this too fast.
Because usually we take a lot more time to do this.
But it is a short chapter, so...
Yeah, that's what we got here.
Some videos we get 15 minutes, sometimes we go to an hour or more.
But it all depends on how much context is in it, or how big the chapters.
This is only 28 verses, which is like about half the size of the chapter we had last week.
I mean, the last show there.
So, amazing stuff.
And then right now, what's going on, like, if you want to know in the history right now, what's going on in the Bible, right?
The apostles who are left, they're going around spreading the gospel all over the place.
And at the same time, you've got the Jews hunting them down, literally, to try to stop them.
And what threw them off big time was Paul.
Because remember, Paul used to be Saul, as we learned in the last few chapters.
He was actually the henchman, going around literally capturing and killing Christians.
So now Paul's on...
The apostle's side, because Jesus made him blind, right?
And Jesus picked Paul to be a great leader, right?
And it threw the Jews off completely.
Like, what?
Paul's actually a Christian?
What?
You know, so now Paul is like a strong leader yet.
So now they're like really ticked off the Jews.
They're literally trying to wipe anything to do Christianity off the face of the earth.
But, because of the magnitude of the multitudes they're witnessing to, they can't do that.
So, as we'll point right in this time in history in the Bible here, half of the nations here are going with the apostles that come to Jesus Christ and turn away from the Jewish faith.
Which is really ticking off the Jewish shelters.
So it's a trend here.
It really is.
And again, don't take my word or anybody else's word for it.
Read it for yourselves, guys.
It's very important stuff.
And this is why we have to do these videos here.
I love doing these really awesome stuff.
And if you go to normal channels, rather than the case, not normal, average channels, all they do is read to it.
What we try to do is, as best as we can, Just scale through it.
You know what I mean?
Like pick the meat and potatoes out of it.
You know what I mean?
Like all the context.
What is going on here?
You know?
What exactly is going on here?
At what point in time are they talking about?
All that stuff.
That's why I try to bring out the meat and potatoes of the gospel.
Because this is something academia doesn't do either.
And I know people think, well, why are you always criticizing academia?
Academia is like colleges, schools, and all that.
The education department, right?
And these so-called scholars, right?
They'll sit there and they'll use higher educated words and use Greek words and all that stuff.
But the thing is, they don't have the spiritual application that's required to read the Bible and to know the Bible.
You talk to a scholar, right?
They'll sound very intelligent.
And I'm not saying they're dumb at all.
And yes, most of them are very intelligent.
But they lack the spiritual application that's in the Bible.
Academia takes the spirituality out of the Bible.
And you listen to a lot of these so-called scholars or whatever, they completely are stripped of the spiritual application.
And that's only something, they can't comprehend it half of them.
This is only something that comes from the Holy Spirit into us.
That's why half these people can't understand that, yes, fallen angels did have sex with the woman and you have to create the Nephilim, right?
In the academia world, most of them debate that.
They say, oh, it's all the sons of Seth.
It's not fallen angels' children.
When the Bible makes that very clear in all the ancient history, it says the same thing, right?
They'll rip the spirituality out of the Bible and it's sickening.
And a lot of churches do that today.
And a lot of churches, what they'll do too, is they'll pick a couple verses, just say, on this chapter here, right?
They'll pick, today we're going to study Acts 14, 1-4.
They'll read 1-4, right?
Then they'll jump to another book, another chapter, another book, another chapter, right?
Talk a little bit about it back and forth, instead of pulling the context out.
And when they do it this way, they strategically do this purposely, because they can string together a bunch of Bible verses, or what they'll do is they'll pick up, to say, verses three and four, right?
Jump into another chapter, book, and whatnot, to string together verses to make it sound like their agenda they're trying to push over, right?
Completely taking the verses out of context, okay?
Completely painting a story that's not there.
This is how religions get over the religious dogma.
But this is why we strictly do what we do here.
So you learn and understand fully what this is talking about, in context.
And again, if I went too fast, guys, in this one here, and I feel I did, but if you think I went too fast and you want more clarification on whatever we talked about today...
Or you want to add something to it, whatever you feel I missed, please go in the comments section, not the chat room.
I know we have a chat room when it premieres live.
Go in the comments section and leave it there and I'll get back to you.
I'm pretty good at getting back to people.
And if you just want to say hello, whatever, that's fine too.
Put it in the comments section and we'll get back to you.
