If you are receiving this transmission, you are the resistance.
Declaring war on the new world order.
TruthRadioShow.com And welcome to the Dan Bedoni Show on TruthRadioShow.com and welcome to the Book of Acts, our in-depth, comprehensive study, chapter by chapter.
So today we're doing chapter 12, and if you missed chapters 1 through 11, they are in our playlist.
And if you're just starting here, I would highly suggest to go at least to the Book of Acts, chapter 1. So that being said, guys, we have a specific Bible study approach we do at every one of these broadcasts here.
Number one is to pray for wisdom and understanding.
So that's very important, guys, to follow these steps here.
And pray for wisdom and understanding is extremely important so we get the Word taught to us directly from the Holy Spirit.
I'm just a messenger, guys, so it's not me teaching.
It's the Holy Spirit, and we're reading it all for ourselves here.
So that being said...
Jesus, yes, we come before you once again to ask you once again to forgive us all of our individual sins and trespasses and just to cleanse us, Lord.
And thank you.
I can't say thank you enough.
Thank you so much for everything you do and you've done for us.
You don't have to do anything else for us.
You've already done enough.
But thank you for just being there for us all the time.
And we ask you, Heavenly Father, to just give us your divine wisdom and understanding through the Holy Spirit.
To descend upon us, Lord, to write your word today in the book of Acts chapter 12 upon our hearts.
And once again we pray, not to sound repetitive, Father, but we just once again pray for you to heal people that's going through any kind of spiritual or physical, any kind of problems at all.
And we ask you again to just...
Protect us all against the forces of evil.
And thank you for everything we've done for us.
Thank you for your beautiful creation.
And thank you for everything, everything.
And I can't say this enough.
Thank you, thank you, thank you.
And we love you with all our heart and our soul.
In your mighty name, mighty, mighty name, Abba, Father, we love you so much.
Amen.
So that being said, guys, we read the scripture in context because context is key as we demonstrate almost every one of these videos.
We demonstrate how important context is.
This way it could not possibly be taken out of context.
And like we say all the time, man, religions, all religions, and many of these ministries today, TV especially, they take context out of, you know, I'm sorry, scripture out of context all the time.
This is why we do chapter by chapter, guys.
To really break down, to understand what the Word of God is saying today.
We don't just redo the Scripture like any other video you can find on YouTube.
And they do a good job, yeah, reading the Scripture.
And we can read it in a couple of minutes, one chapter, right?
But we don't do that here, as you've been following us here.
We don't do that.
What we do is we break it down to understand.
Get every bit of the meat and potatoes out of the Scripture.
This is the way the scripture is supposed to be read.
Not like a novel or a book or a newspaper.
We're supposed to read it in depth.
Study it.
Take your time.
That's why it takes us a half hour, 45 minutes of time to go through an entire chapter.
Sometimes an hour.
Because there's so much involved here.
It's unlike any other book.
This is the word of God written down that emulates into our hearts.
So let the Scripture interpret Scripture, and we don't lean on our own understanding.
Let the Holy Spirit work to us, guys, to great comfort, as Jesus promised us and gave us.
So trust the plan, the only plan, and that's the Bible.
And we can't say that enough.
So turn to Acts chapter 12, if you've got a Bible, and let's begin with our studies.
So the last chapter we learned, it was great.
We went through the last chapter, the last video, and Peter just doing miraculous works and waking people up, bringing them to Christ and everything else, and awesome stuff.
So if you missed that chapter, go check it out.
So now into chapter 12. So now about the time of Herod, the king, remember?
Stretch forth his hand to vex certain of the church.
What does vex mean?
There's many meanings for vex in spiritual warfare.
It's cursing.
Cursing, disturbed by motion, stir up or toss about.
So, yeah, and what does rex mean biblically?
Yeah, exactly that.
To cause trouble, right?
So in witchcraft, they use vexes, hexes and vexes and all that.
It's spells and incutations they use to cause trouble or physically get involved to cause trouble, division, all kinds of stuff within the church, right?
And today, the church here is the followers of Jesus.
It's not a Catholic church.
It's not today's Christian church.
It's the followers of Jesus.
That's us.
We are the church here.
Not a building or institution or a religion.
We are the church.
So Herod, yeah.
So Herod's just like, alright, what the heck's going on?
I thought the Jews took care of this stuff.
Getting rid of Jesus and Stephen.
So now he's like, alright, this is enough, right?
Because Christianity is spreading like wildfire right now.
Here in this time here in the Bible, right?
So, and he killed James, the brother of John, with the sword.
And because he saw and pleased the Jews, now the Jews here, and I'll put it right out, right?
I don't want nothing back.
The Jews here, they got a bloodlust, a thirst for blood from Christians.
And here at this point in time.
They just got done crucifying Jesus not too long ago, right?
Stephen rises up, right?
Become a very powerful apostle, right?
Replacing Judas.
They killed him.
They gave Paul authority, which is Saul, right?
To go kill Christians, right?
And what did Jesus do?
He was the number one persecuted Christian, right?
And Jesus converted him.
So now, they're like, alright, what the heck's going on?
So, King Herod, this guy has been a tyrant from day one.
When his authority was being challenged, remember?
When Jesus was younger?
He had all the newborns killed?
As we learned in the early book of Matthew.
Yeah, so now he's like, alright, I want these people dead.
Get them out of here, right?
So he goes and captures James, kills him.
And because it pleased the Jews, like he was kissing butt to the Jews.
That's what he was doing.
He proceeded to take further to take Peter also.
Then were the days of unleavened bread.
So this is talking about, I like how the Bible gives specific times of when these things happen, right?
And it specifies when Peter was captured, right?
It was during the days of unleavened bread.
The real biblical festival, not Easter, right?
Or anything like that.
So it gives specific times of when these accounts happen.
So Peter is like basically the head honcho, basically if you want to call him that, one of the most powerful apostles.
In other words, bring the word of God, right?
And so he proceeded to go capture Peter, right?
And when he had apprehended him, he put him in prison and delivered him to four coronations of soldiers to keep him, intended after Easter to bring him forth to people.
So, you know, the days we want a little bit of bread.
Easter, Niska and Sia, guys, I want to point out, Easter is not talking about what the Easter we call today.
It's a big difference.
The Easter today is a pagan holiday, you know, which is Easter Sunday and all that stuff.
So, it's a bit different context that King James used when he wrote this.
So, they're now actually referring to this pagan holiday.
We went over this, Matthew and Mark and all that.
So, yeah.
So, Feast Unleavened Bread is after Passover.
Which King James called Easter.
But, you know, again, it's the difference between regular Easter.
So, yeah.
So, when he apprehended him, he put him in prison and delivered him into the coronations of soldiers to keep him.
So, coronations is like basic...
Quaternillion.
Let me get the definition.
Quaternillion is...
I like to get the definition of stuff.
It's a complex of number of form.
Or a set of four people or things.
It's like a century.
What does it mean in the Bible?
For soldiers, a band of soldiers.
Peter was committed by Herod.
You know, captured by Herod.
In the custody of coronations.
In other words, it's like a coronation for each watch at night.
Thus, a precaution was taken against his escape from prison.
So, this is exactly what we're talking about.
Pretty cool, huh?
So, yeah.
So, he was apprehended and they put quarters of soldiers there, right?
And basically, to keep watch over his cell.
So there was guards at the cell at all times.
So Peter couldn't escape.
He was on the heavy guard because of who he was.
So Peter therefore kept in prison, but prayer was made without season of the church unto God for him.
So everybody, all the apostles and disciples and all the people, they were constantly praying nonstop for Peter.
Because basically Peter's the leader here.
You know what I mean?
So they were praying for him nonstop.
And when Herod would have brought him forth, the same night, Peter was sleeping between two soldiers, bound with two chains, and the keepers before the guard kept the prison.
So again, this is explaining Peter is literally in a cell, bound by chains, chained up to the wall, basically, and has two guards on him.
And behold, the angel of the Lord came unto him, And a light shined in the prison.
And he smote Peter on the side and raised him up, saying, Arise quickly.
And his chains fell off from his hands.
So he said he smote.
So it's kind of, let me see what's, smote.
To strike sharply or heavily, especially with the hand, or something held with the hand.
And sometimes it's killed, severely injured, or striked in such a way.
Smite has two past particular forms.
So it's two different meanings for smite.
So it's either being struck or heavenly or killed.
So it says, The angel of the Lord came upon him, and the light shined in the prison, and he smoked Peter on the side and raised him up, saying, Arise quickly.
So...
Did the angel kill him, then raise him from the dead?
So that's how, you know, they're really interested to really figure this out.
And his chains fell off from his hands.
Or did he injure him?
You know what I mean?
But something had happened.
The angel did something to him, so the chains fell off.
So regardless if the angel killed him, then raised him from the dead?
Or just hit him hard enough to get him out of the chains?
And the angel said unto him, Gird thyself and bind on the sandals.
And so he did.
So Noah, pick yourself up, put your sandals on and all that, right?
And he said unto him, cast a garment about thee and follow me.
So cast your garment and follow me, right?
And he went out and followed him, and wist not...
That it was true, which it was done by the angel, but he saw a vision.
So is Peter thinking this is a vision going on?
Yeah, because remember, Peter's been through several visions already, as we described in the last couple chapters.
And when they were first, past them, sorry, the first and second ward, they came into the iron gate and laid them to the city.
So he's going through the prison here.
So the angels are taken through the prison, and the warden is like sections.
So they're past the first and second sections of the prison, and they came into an iron gate that leadeth unto the city, which opened of his own accord.
And they went out and passed on through one street and forth where the angel departed from him.
So what is the saying?
The angels literally led Peter through the prison and into the city and then departed from him when he was out of there free, right?
Mind you, he was binded chains.
Two gods were there to protect him.
I'm sorry, to make sure he didn't escape, right?
And bound by chains.
But the angels set him free.
So again, and if people want to help me out with this one here, so what does this mean here?
Because we know smoke, what that means.
It's either killing or striking somebody hard.
And it also says that he was raised up.
And the angel told him to get up quickly.
So did the angel kill Peter just to get him out of chains?
That's awesome.
So let me know in the comment section, guys, what you think of that.
That'd be really interesting to find that out.
Yeah, it's really cool.
And we might learn what that means later because the Bible interprets itself.
So every time we think we're stumbled upon something, later on when you read it, you're like, oh, that's what that meant.
Let the Scripture interpret Scripture.
So the angel led him to the prison and helped him get out, right?
And when Peter was come to himself, he said, Now I know of a surety that the Lord has sent his angels and has departed me out of the hand of Herod and from all expectation of the people of the Jews.
So again, let me say that Peter's question is, is this a vision?
What's going on here?
So when he was set free, now he realized, alright, this is not a vision, this really happened.
Because he says, now I know for sure that the Lord did send his angels and delivered me out of the hand of Herod.
Because he went through two, imagine, he, again, I don't mean to sound repetitive, guys, but chained to the wall, guarded by two guards, right?
The angel got him out of the chains, got him past the guards, right?
And went through two wards, two sections of the prison to get out of this.
Basically, almost an inescapable place.
But the angel of the Lord let him through.
And Peter's like, yeah, this is of God.
And when he had considered the thing, he came to the house of Mary, the mother of John, whose surname was Mark.
Where many were gathered unto praying.
So remember, everybody was praying.
Everybody was praying to deliver Peter out of prison.
So when Peter got out of prison, he arrived at Mary's house, right?
And as Peter knocked at the door of the gate, a damsel came to hearken named Rhonda.
So he's knocked at the gate and this woman named Rhonda came, right?
And when she saw, she knew Peter's voice, she opened not the gate for the gladness, but ran in and told how Peter stood before the gate.
So instead of opening the gate, she's like, she knew it was Peter because of his voice.
So she ran in and said, Peter's outside, Peter's outside.
And they said unto her, are you mad?
Thou art mad?
But she's constantly affirmed that it was so.
That sad day, it is his angel.
So, because they think Peter's dead.
They know he was arrested.
They probably think Peter's dead at this point, right?
So again, Peter knocks at the gate to come in, right?
Because he was going to the house where they were praying for him, right?
And this woman, Rhonda, it's like, instead of just opening the gate, right, she just like ran off from excitement.
She should have just opened the gate, but yeah.
So she recognized him by his voice, so she ran and said, Peter's outside the gate!
And everybody's like, are you crazy?
And she goes, no, no, it's him, it's him, I'm telling you.
Then the people said, well, it's probably his angel.
But Peter continued knocking, and when they had opened the door, they saw him and they were astonished, like, what?
Because again, they think Peter's dead or something.
They knew he was captured by Herod because they killed James, right?
Herod killed James, so they think Peter's dead too.
And they were just blown away.
Like, what?
Is this real?
But he beckoned on to them with a hand to hold their peace.
So he's like, alright, relax guys.
Okay, hold on.
Declared unto them how the Lord had brought him out of prison.
Because imagine that, you take the guy's dad or something.
How'd you get out of prison?
How are you alive?
Whatever the case, right?
And he goes, alright, hold on guys.
Well, answer all that.
But I'm telling you here that the Lord brought me out of prison.
And he said, go show these things unto James.
And to the brethren, and he departed and went into another place.
Now as soon as it was day, there was no small stir among the soldiers, what was becoming Peter.
So, the day comes, right?
And so, yeah, Herod's like probably wants blood, right?
Who the heck, how the heck did Peter get out of this?
You had him changing the wall, you had guards over there, he got through two wards, how the heck did this happen?
Ain't nobody seen him?
It's like me and you going to solitary confinement in a federal state prison, or a federal or state prison, right?
In the midst of the prison, and we're just born after that, the wardens are going to want some heads, right?
How the heck did this happen?
So when Herod had sought for him, like he was looking for him, and found him not, He was like, he was in my prison.
What the heck's going on?
He examined the keepers and commanded that they should be put to death.
And he went down from Judea to Caesarea and there abroad.
So imagine King Herod said, hold on, I had you guys changing the wall and you guys had sentries posted 24-7 with him.
How did he get out?
Went to the whole prison and nobody seen nothing.
And he had these soldiers put to death.
So again, he went down to Judea from Caesarea and their abode, right?
And Herod was highly displeased with them of Tyre and Sidon.
But they came with one accord with him, in other words, an agreement.
That's what one accord means.
People all talk about something, the same thing, or agreement, the same thing, right?
And having made Blastus, the king's chambermen, their friend, desired peace because that country there was nourished by the king's country.
So the king went down there to make an agreement with them of Tyre and Sidon.
And upon a set day, Herod, Arrayed in the royal apparel, sat on his throne and made oratation to them.
Oratish and see what that means.
It's a formal speech, especially one given in a ceremony occasion.
It's So, King Herod...
Arrayed in royal apparels that he was all dressed up in his official garments, right?
Sat upon the throne and made a formal speech given of a ceremony occasion, right?
This was going on here, right?
So this was an official speech, yeah.
And the people gave him a shout saying, it is the voice of God and not of men.
And immediately the angel of the Lord smote him.
So when the people were like, yeah, this is...
When he gave the speech on Herod, right?
And the people gave a shout, saying, it is the voice of a god, and not a man.
And then look at the lowercase g.
So now we can identify what this is, because they're talking about Keren.
Now if they were talking about God, that would be a capital G. So I want to point this out to you guys.
When you study scripture, right?
Anytime you see the word God, right?
You can identify what do they talk about.
Is it a false god or a real god?
Every time it's a capital G, right, it's referring to our Father, the real God, the only God.
Any time you see a low-case g, it's referring to a false God.
So that's where we can identify as they're talking about, because the question would be like, is this here talking about the people saying it's the voice of God, our Father?
Or is it the voice of, they think Herod's a God?
Well, right there is the identifier, the low-case g.
So again, he was royal parents.
He made one accord with Saddam and Tyree, right?
In other words, an agreement, right?
So he made this royal speech.
And this official speech and everything else, as the oration says, right?
A formal speech, especially when given the ceremony occasion.
That's exactly what's going on here.
This was a ceremony occasion, right?
Making an agreement with Tyre and Sidon.
It was a big formal thing, right?
Like a peaceful thing.
So his speech, right?
Moved everybody so much.
The people there, right?
And Tyre and Sidon.
They all said, it is the voice of a god and not of a man.
So they're praising King Herod as a god.
That's what's going on here.
Low case G, right?
So immediately, the angel of the Lord smote him.
Because he gave not God the glory.
And was eaten of worms and gave up the ghost.
So instead of giving God the glory, right?
He gives himself the glory.
Like he is a god.
That's all these kings and wolves did.
And Pharaoh's mother, they thought they were gods.
Because he had so much power corrupting them.
To a point where they think they were invincible and unstoppable that they think they were a god.
Right?
And the angel of the Lord smote him, killed him.
As we learn what smote meant.
It's either sharply hit, like we learned, right?
Or sharply stricken, as we see the word smote again in the Bible.
So, which begs us to differ here?
Say, right?
When we talk about smote, no, it's the angel of the Lord killed Herod.
So, we'll go back here real quick, right?
When Peter was in prison, right?
The angel of the Lord came unto him, right?
And shined a light in the prison, and he smoted Peter on the side.
And raised him up.
So I think this is, I really think that the angel of the Lord here killed Peter on the side, or struck him hard on the side.
Because, like, the context is very important here.
So, as we learn here, remember you said that the scripture interprets scripture?
And you've got verse 7 here, talking about the angel of the Lord.
This is the same angel of the Lord that killed Herod here.
Right, so we go back here, and I wish I could highlight these things on this program here.
So yeah, so was Peter killed?
So this is, here, I checked this out, right?
And I'm not saying this is biblical, or this is what I think will happen, okay?
This is only what I think will happen, right?
Because...
But I think that the angel might have killed Peter and Peter made a transgression to the spirit.
Transfiguring, I'm sorry, to the spirit.
They told him to raise up quickly and his chains fell off from his hands.
Did his body transfigure?
Really think about this for a minute, right?
So...
When the angel of the Lord came upon him, he shined a light in the prison, right?
And smoked Peter, like killed Peter on the side.
Or did he just hit him hard?
And he raised him up.
Which every time we heard raised him up means like brought him back to life, right?
Saying, arise up quickly.
And the chains fell off from his hands.
So, what I really think, guys, let me know in the comment section.
What I think is going on here, and I'm almost sure right now, because let the scripture interpret scripture.
If you want to understand the angel of the Lord, King Herod killed him, gave up the ghost, right?
But this would have said, gave up the ghost too.
I'm not sure, but it did say he raised him up, saying, get up quickly, and the rise, and the chains fell off.
And I think that's how he was able to get out of the prison.
So did the angel kill him that he would transfigure into the spirit?
This is where the chains fall off him, right?
He could walk right through the doors, right out of the sight that nobody even seen him.
And I think this is what happened.
If you really think about it, right, he's got two guards outside the door, right?
Or in between, whatever the case is going on, right?
Did this angel kill Peter so he was transfigured into the spirit?
To get him out of the place without being seen.
Well, on the other hand, too, the angels could have mesmerized the troops, whatever, and walked past them and they didn't even know.
But I really think, because what it's saying, smoke.
Usually in scripture, smoke is referred to as killing.
So, the angel of the Lord, I really believe here, right?
Smoke killed Peter.
And to make Peter into, like, transfigured, like, into a spirit lake, that's how the chains fell off him.
And that's how he was able to walk through two wards of the prison and get out of there without nobody seeing him.
And this is where he had, I think this is where it confirms it, yeah.
Because Peter, he had followed him, and he was not, that was a true witch was done by an angel.
But he thought he saw a vision.
So Peter thinks this is a vision.
So I think this is a good point here because Peter thought this whole thing was a vision.
Because he was killed by an angel.
Transferring it to the spirit, that's how he got out of the chains and was able to walk through two wards.
This is pretty interesting.
Yeah, so they followed him.
It was not what was true, which was done by the angel, but thought he saw a vision.
So it was later on, when he went to pass through the first...
Now, he's going through the first and second ward, right?
And they came to the iron gate, which led into the city, which opened to them of his own court.
And they went out, and he passed through this one street and forth, and the angel departed from them.
Then Peter come to himself and said, now I know surely, maybe now Peter was transferred back into the flesh.
When he went through all this, right?
Come to the gate, transferred back into the flesh again, and that's when he came to the realization, now I surely know what's of the Lord.
And this angel sent me.
Because he thought it was a vision.
He was in the spirit.
He thought this was a vision.
So correct me if I'm wrong, guys, but I really believe that the angel killed...
Peter, just to transfer his body into the spirit, to lead him out of the prison here, and to the gate, then give him, you know, back in the flesh again.
Because at the time he's in the spirit, he thinks he's having a vision.
Like some out-of-body experience or something like that, you know what I mean?
So, yeah, and then he finally realized, like, no, this was not a vision, this really happened.
Very interesting, guys, really.
It's because when King Herod was at his glory, right?
Like, people started shouting and saying he was a god.
Not a man, right?
And immediately the angel of the Lord smote him.
And because he gave not God the glory, you gotta say, look, capital G, talk about our father God.
And he was eaten of worms and gave up his ghosts.
So, that's a perfect example right here.
Perfect example.
And we're trying to figure things out here.
Let the scripture interpret scripture.
Perfect example of that right here.
When you think, alright, we stumble upon something, alright, just keep reading.
And I'm 100% honest with you guys.
Until then, when I seen this, right, until we just did this, I had no clue.
I didn't know what that meant.
I thought maybe he just got hit hard, but I really think he transferred into the spirit, Peter, right?
Just to get out of there.
It makes sense too, right?
Transferring into the spirit, being let out of this whole place by angels.
Then transferring it back, probably.
But it's amazing, right?
So anyway, and that is the other thing too.
That's why they were astonished when Peter came to the gate.
And Rhonda opened and heard his voice.
They thought he was dead.
So this would actually make sense, guys.
Because check this out, right?
This actually makes sense now.
So when she heard Peter's voice and she ran, she didn't open it.
She ran back and said, hey, Peter's at the gate.
And people, they accuse her of being mad.
Are you crazy?
But she's like, no, it's him.
I heard his voice.
Then he said, is it an angel?
It's angel.
So I take this right here, the confirmation that he was dead.
I'm almost sure of it, yeah.
But, yeah, and so we've learned from that.
But, yeah, again, this is something we should really examine because, like, very interesting stuff.
But regardless, right, later on, the angel of the Lord killed King Herod.
And when I pointed out earlier, see the capital G? And the lower case G? So we know, we can affirm now that the people said it's the voice of God and not the man, referring to King Herod, they're calling him a god.
So again, immediately the angel of the Lord smote him, killed him, King Herod, right?
Because he gave up, not God, the glory.
He didn't give God the glory.
Capital G. Father, right?
And it was eaten of worms and he gave up the ghost.
But the word of God drew and multiplied.
So God demonstrated his power.
And now King Herod's dead.
And God's, his word multiplies off the land.
And Barnabas and Saul returned from Jerusalem when they had fulfilled their ministry, and took with them John, whose surname was Mark.
So which is going to lead on to chapter 13. So again, let me know what you guys think in the comments section.
And if you're watching the premiere of this, there's a lot of chat, but let me know in the comments section, guys, the regular comments section, what you think about that and what we were talking about earlier.
So, very interesting stuff, and this is why it's good to examine this stuff.
And look here, we're going on 35 minutes.
Any other place, right, you go, we could have read through this, well, 25 verses, probably took two, three minutes to do this video.
But we would have missed all this.
This is why I'm trying to explain.
This is very important that we examine, take your time, verse by verse, see what's going on here.
Learn what words mean.
The meaning of words have a great significance of what's going on.
We just demonstrated this here.
This is why it's important to get the Holy Spirit involved with this, guys.
He just taught us.
Yes, me, myself.
I just learned something today.
Amazing stuff.
It really is.
I'm just blessed to even be part of this.
To be able to do this with the power of the Holy Spirit.
I really am.
It's humbling.
It really is.
And I'm a nobody, guys.
I'm just like you and everybody else.
And I'm not calling you nobody.
I'm just saying I'm nobody special.
I'm just a servant of the Lord.
That's all I am.
I'm not a pastor.
I'm not a prophet or apostle.
I would never call myself any of that.
This is a servant of Jesus Christ.
That's it.
So once again, thank you guys for joining us.
I can't wait to get to chapter 13 where Barnabas and Saul returned from Jerusalem.
So yeah, it's going to be pretty interesting.
And remember, Saul becomes Paul later.
So trust the plan, the only plan that's the Bible.
Don't take my word, anybody else's word for it.
Go read it for yourselves.
And please, guys, in the comment section, let me know what you think about that.
And again, big question about this.
Was Peter killed by the angel to transfigure into the flesh to get through the gods?
In the whole prison.
They're very interesting.
Just stumble.
I'm sorry.
Just meditate.
Meditate on that.
Using the scriptures.
And pray about it.
Because I really think we have something cool here to examine.
So, if I come up with anything, guys, I'll let you know in the next chapter.
But, again, don't take anybody else's word for it.
Read it for yourselves.
