If you are receiving this transmission, you are the resistance.
declaring war on the new world order truth radio show dot-com and welcome everybody to the damage show our truth radio show dot-com in a bible series This is very exciting and I love doing this here.
So we're in the book of Acts chapter 11. So we do a chapter by chapter videos here.
So it's an in-depth comprehensive study of the Bible chapter by chapter.
And what we do guys is we do a specific Bible study approach if you're new to this channel.
Actually if you're new to this channel I would suggest to go watch Acts chapter 1 first.
We do a specific Bible study approach every video.
Number one, to pray for wisdom and understanding.
So let's do that right now.
So, Lord Jesus, Yeshua Messiah, we love you so much with all our heart and all our soul.
And thank you so much for everything you've done for us.
Today we come to you and ask you to cleanse us all individually of our individual sins, trespasses, transgressions, or any abominations that we may have committed.
And we pray that you just cover us and anoint us with your precious blood that you sacrifice on Calvary for us.
And cleanse us before the Father.
Father, we ask you today, we come before you at your throne, and we ask you today to once again give us divine wisdom and understanding.
And today, the book of Acts chapter 11, we ask you to allow the Holy Spirit to write your word upon our hearts today.
And we ask you to comfort every one of us that are going through any kind of spiritual problems or anything, physical problems, whatever the case, and Just comfort us all, Lord, and we ask you to protect us all, all of us, from the forces of evil, protect this broadcast, protect the videos here and everything, so we could just get the truth out to people.
And again, write these words upon our hearts.
In your mighty name we pray, amen.
So that being said, guys, we read the scripture in context.
Very important to understand, context is key.
This is what lots of ministries and churches don't do.
It's unfortunate.
You need to read the scripture in context.
It's why you go by chapter by chapter.
Fully, really explain what the Bible has to say.
And we let the scripture interpret the scripture.
Let the Holy Spirit work through you.
So if you've got a Bible today, guys, please open up Acts chapter 11. And thank you ShakeAndWakeRadio.com for carrying this on the audio edition.
So if you're sitting in your car listening on audio edition or whatever the case, obviously you're driving, so I would suggest you open up a Bible if you've got one.
If you're not driving or whatever the case, but regardless of you, while listening, later on open up your Bible because we always challenge people to read it for yourself.
Very important to understand that.
And because we want you to fully understand the context that's involved there.
There's so much context, it's crazy.
That's why we spend sometimes a half hour, 45 minutes on one chapter.
And if you guys, if you're watching the show here, I'm thinking we're just going to read through the Bible like any other video.
We don't do that.
We read through the Bible, absolutely, but we sit there and explain things and get to the meat and potatoes of what these verses and the context have to say.
So you get a full understanding of what the Word of God has to offer.
So let's begin chapter 11, verse 1. And the apostles and the brethren that were in Judea heard that the Gentiles had also received the word of God.
In other words, spreading the gospel.
You know, that's what was going on then.
And then when Peter was come up to Jerusalem, they that were with the circumcision contend with him.
So saying that wentest to men uncircumcised and didest eat with them.
So they're accusing...
They're accusing Peter here of eating and fellowshipping with uncircumcised people.
Because circumcision is a Jewish tradition and also is a commandment by God.
That's why even today people get circumcised because it's a tradition.
And it's a biblical tradition, not a tradition of man, by the way.
So anyway, they're accusing Peter of, why are you bothering with these people?
Kind of look familiar, isn't it?
And when we studied Matthew, Mark, and John, that they were asking Jesus the same thing, why are you eating with sinners and tax collectors and all that?
Because he comes to save the world.
You know what I mean?
And that's what, to bring light and truth to the lost.
That's what we're supposed to do, right?
That's what Peter was doing.
He was emulating Messiah.
So here we go again.
Jews, you know, they say, well, why are you eating with these uncircumcised people?
So, but Peter rehearsed the matter from the beginning and expounded it by order unto them, saying, I was in the city of Joppa praying, and in the trance I saw a vision.
Now, mind you, if you paid attention to the last chapter, chapter 10, we heard about him having a vision of these animals that God cleansed.
We're going to explain this in a minute.
Here he is with Satan and once again.
Certain animals that God cleansed that normally you can't eat.
So he says, I was in the city of Joppa praying, and in the trance I saw a vision.
A certain vessel descended, and it had been a great sheet, let down from heaven by four corners, and it came up even unto me.
So again, this is Peter reciting from chapter 10 the vision that he had from God.
And remember, at the time, Peter was hungry, right?
Yeah, so we'll explain this in a minute.
And upon which, when I had fasted my eyes, I considered and saw four-footed beasts of the earth, and wild beasts and creeping things and fowls of the earth.
So this isn't his vision.
That he's seen all these beasts and all that stuff.
And many were normally unclean animals that you can't eat.
And I heard a voice saying unto me, Arise, Peter.
Slay and eat.
Because remember, if you go back to chapter 10, Peter was hungry.
He was fasting.
That's when he got this vision.
And like I brought up in the last chapter too, it's kind of interesting too.
So when people got these real extensive visions and all that, they were fasting.
So, which would say, if you want a vision from God or something like that, yeah, fasting's a very important thing because what it does is it cleanses your body.
And I don't know if you all understand what fasting does, too, physically.
It regenerates your body.
It really does.
If you fast for a minute, you know, a lot of people do a three-day fasting here and there, right?
It does a world of wonder for your body.
It eats away unnecessary fat cells.
It breaks down things in your body to cleanse it, literally.
And I think this is when you really be cleansed inside, too, that the Lord can reach out to you.
It's amazing.
We get to the spiritual warfare aspect, because it's physical and spiritual ramifications when you fast.
And it's pretty amazing.
And like the book of Revelation with John and I on Patmos, right?
John was fasting when he got these revelations from God.
So again, he's Peter bringing up the point where he had this vision of all these beasts and creeping things and flowers and birds and everything.
And he heard a voice saying unto him, Peter, rise, slay and eat.
But I said, no, not so, Lord, for nothing common or unclean has any time entered in my mouth.
So here we go with the commandments again, right?
And the old laws and all that.
So modern-day Christianity, right, which has been completely dumbed down by dispensationalism, and I don't hold nothing back.
I'm telling you exactly what happens, right?
Modern-day Christianity has been completely dumbed down by the dispensationalism Garbage demonic doctrine, that's what it is, and the prosperity doctrine, right?
Doctrines of men and devils, that's what they are, right?
So you go to the average church, around the corner they'll tell you, oh, the Ten Commandments and the laws have been done away with, right?
You won't find no such thing.
We went to Matthew, Mark, Luke, and John, Acts here, and we're going to continue to go through, right up to Revelation.
And you're going to find no such thing.
And in fact, contrary to this belief, right?
Jesus Himself, as we demonstrated already, says to keep the commandments of God.
And yes, He's got His two great commandments, but they're the two great commandments that the Ten Commandments hang on.
As we demonstrate, the Ten Commandments are not abolished.
They're not just for the Jews.
And there's a hypocrisy about these churches today.
They say, oh, we're grafted into God's Israel.
All right.
So if you're grafted into God's Israel, right, you have to obey God's laws.
Then people say, well, we're saved by grace, not works.
No kidding.
Absolutely, we're saved by grace.
But grace is not a free pass to transgress the law.
What is sin?
Jesus defines sin as transgression of the law, violating the law.
And we went over this a million times.
And the entire spiritual warfare show is on this matter.
So, we're going to come to a situation that, again, from the last chapter, Peter was told to eat these, take whatever you want and eat, right?
And now, Peter, living faithfully, right?
He said, he thought he was being tested for us.
And he said, Lord, I have never eaten nothing common or unclean, which is against God's law.
To eat unclean animals, right?
But the voice answered me again from heaven, What God has cleansed, thy call not thy come.
So, with God's cleanse, you can eat.
Now, this is where these dispensationalists will take it to a whole new level.
Completely take these things out of context, right?
So they'll use these verses like I demonstrated in the last chapter, right?
They will use some of these verses to try to prove that we can eat anything we want now.
We can eat pigs, we can eat anything, right?
No.
That's not what it says.
Yes, in this particular matter, alright, God said you can eat whatever you want, but these are specific animals that God's cleansed himself.
He's God, he can do whatever he wants.
He cleansed them.
So it doesn't mean you can go out and slaughter any pig now and eat it, or, you know, certain birds and all that you're not supposed to eat.
That's not what it means.
Just these specific type of animals that he had in that vision.
That God's cleansed.
They're not, you know, when he does this, they're not common or unclean, right?
And it didn't mean for now why they could go eat a pig or something.
That's not what it meant.
Only these specific animals that God himself personally cleansed.
And again, if you look at what we talk about all the time, right?
If you look at the animals, the reason why they're called unclean, guys, is not God being a controlling jerk, right?
It's not just a Jewish custom or tradition.
There's a major physical and spiritual matter, okay, why these things are unclean.
Because if you look at pork, right, there's nothing at all in the pig good for you, at all.
Nor is he even nutritional in any which way.
That's why until this very day, pork is one of the most unclean foods there is.
Food-borne illnesses come from pork.
Did you see the worms and everything else that come out of a pig?
It's disgusting.
Have you guys actually seen the slaughter of a pig?
And you'll be like, why am I eating this crap?
Because it's exactly what it is.
You are what you eat, right?
Pigs eat crap, and that's what they are.
You eat that, that's what you're going to feel like.
You know what I mean?
So there's a reason why that God made these unclean.
And that's what a lot of churches won't tell you.
They'll be like, oh, it's just a Jewish thing.
No.
Or it's just a Muslim thing.
No.
God commanded us, guys.
And I don't agree with the Muslim faith, but you know what?
At least they stay true to what they're told.
Because they got that one thing, right?
That God does command us not to eat this stuff.
It's not just a Muslim thing.
It's not just a Jewish thing.
It is a God thing.
And if you go back to the days of Noah, right?
If you understand why God selected two of each kind, right?
Of unclean animals, and he specified clean and unclean animals.
This was the law before the Ten Commandments.
Before the actual laws came about.
Unclean animals were prohibited from day one.
The Sabbath day was written into law from creation.
So a lot of these commandments today, called the Ten Commandments, they were already in law long before the Ten Commandments were established.
A lot of people don't understand this.
The dietary laws are not legalized.
And this was done three times.
And all were drawn up again into heaven.
So now, if you understood the last chapter, right?
God did this for a purpose.
You say, well, why would God give Peter unclean animals?
But the thing is, God cleansed those specific animals.
But there was a message behind this.
There was a reason behind this, right?
Now, if you go back to the beginning of the chapter, right?
Peter was, you know, being...
Reprimanded by the other people, saying, why are you walking around with these uncircumcised men and eating with them?
They're unclean and all that stuff, right?
There's a message behind us.
Understand that, and there's a reason why he was given this vision three times.
And behold, immediately, there were three men, there we go, three times, right?
Three men, right?
Already come into the house where I was, sent from Caesarea to me.
And his spirit bade me to go with them, nothing doubting.
Moreover, these six brethren accompanied me and went into the man's house.
And he showed us how he had seen an angel in his house, which stood up and said unto him, Send men to Jabba and call for Simon, whose surname is Peter.
So he's giving a direct message from the angels that go look for Peter.
And as we demonstrated in the last chapter, you'll see what happened.
It's amazing.
It really is.
And so, who shall tell these words, wherefore thou in thy house shall be saved?
And as they begin to speak, the Holy Ghost fell on them.
And as on us at the beginning...
So they were fulfilled with the Holy Ghost.
It's amazing.
Then remembered I, the word of the Lord, how he had said, John indeed baptized with water, but you shall be baptized with the Holy Ghost.
Again, this brings it up in the second chapter in a row here, about being baptized with the Holy Ghost.
You get baptized in water, like what John the Baptist did, and most of us did.
But the next step is to be baptized with the Holy Ghost.
This is why the Bible specifically talks about this stuff.
And these things are very important.
For as much as God gave them the gift, like he did unto us, who believe in the Lord Jesus Christ, what was I that I would stand God?
So it's like, you know, what was I? Who was I that I could withstand God?
And when they heard these things, they held their peace.
In other words, they bit their tongue, whatever the case.
In other words, they shut up for a while, right?
When they heard these things, they held their peace.
And glorified God, saying, then has God also to the Gentiles granted repentance into life?
So they're asking, is God granting repentance to Gentiles?
Of course, anybody.
What the message is God saying to people, right?
To Peter.
Anybody that comes to you or wants to be saved, you can be saved.
Regardless if they're circumcised or not.
Like the vision he got with the three visions there about the unclean animals that he personally cleansed.
And in the last chapter it says that there's no man unclean and all that if they want to come to God.
They could be cleansed.
Because remember, he's being badgered, I guess, while he's hanging around with sinners.
The same thing they did to Jesus, right?
So, see how this makes sense now?
And now, they were scattered abroad upon the persecution that arose about Stephen traveled as a friend in Cyprus, an antidote, preaching the word to none but unto only the Jews.
Only.
Only.
So remember Stephen?
He was the newly chosen disciple.
Because remember Judas Iscariot?
He betrayed Jesus, the devil, into them.
And he ended up orphaned himself.
So they looked to make a new disciple.
And Stephen was the next one, and he ended up killed afterwards.
But the last few chapters, you understand.
Stephen was a very powerful one.
And then the last chapter we learned too about Saul.
Before he became Paul, he was a murderer of Christians.
And Paul ended up becoming one of the most powerful disciples there is.
And some of them were men of Cyprus and Cyrene, which then they were to come to Antitope, spake unto the Grecians, preach the Lord Jesus.
So they're going to everybody.
Anybody.
It doesn't matter if you're circumcised or not or whoever you are.
They went to everybody to bring the word of God to them.
To show that Peter said, hey, the word of God's for everybody.
Now he's the vision of the dream.
To prove that everybody could accept the word of God.
Doesn't matter if you're clean or unclean.
And the hand of the Lord was with them.
And a great number believed and turned into the Lord.
That's awesome.
So, here's the thing, guys.
At this point in time, right?
It was hostile, okay, to preach the word of God.
They just got done killing Jesus, right?
They killed Stephen, right?
And now preaching the word of God is very, very against the law in most places now, in this situation here.
So this shows you, if God's with you, nobody can stop you.
And Christians will be hunted down big time.
So again, the hand of God was with them, and a great number believed in turning to the Lord.
So regardless of all the persecution, right, they're still going out witnessing the people, still winning people's souls for the Lord.
And as those days, guys, we're experiencing it now.
So it doesn't matter if the government comes down and says, oh, you can't, which will be a violation of the First Amendment, but still, they're going to try that.
It's going to come a time when we preach the Word of God, we're going to be charged with hate crimes.
Unless you preach that New World Order garbage, the ecumenical movement.
The one-world so-called peaceful religion that we all serve the same God, which is a lie.
I don't serve the same God as the Buddhists.
I don't serve the same God as the Hindus or the Muslims.
Or the Mormons or the Jehovah Witnesses.
No, I serve the God of the Bible.
It's a big difference.
But the world today is saying, no, you need to serve this one God because the Pope himself's leading it.
He's got hundreds of religions under his belt to say we all serve the same God adopted by the United Nations.
This is an anti-Christ religion.
So it's going to come time, and it's probably going to be soon.
Look at the government.
They're already classifying traditional Christians as domestic terrorists.
That's right in Operation Endgame by Homeland Security and Project Megiddo by the FBI. Go check these documents out.
For a while, in the MIAC report as well, they've been classifying as traditional Christians, which is biblical Christians, who preach against the New World Order and all this globalism as domestic terrorists.
So it's going to come to a point real soon in the future.
But we need to be like these apostles, don't care about that.
We need to still continue to preach the word of God.
So again, the hand of the Lord was with them, and a great number believed and turned into the Lord.
Amen.
And verse 22, Then titans of these things came, and to the ears of the church was which is in Jerusalem.
And they sent forth Barnabas, that he should go in as far as Antioch.
Remember Barnabas, right?
And who, when he came in, he had seen the grace of God, was glad and exhorted them all.
With the purpose of heart, they should cleave unto the Lord.
And then you look at the statement here, cleave unto the Lord.
Like, it's very important to understand these words, right?
Cleave means to bind, to grab, to hold.
You know, like when your child or something, right?
You cleave onto that child with love and everything else like that.
That's what it's supposed to do to God.
Cleave onto the Lord right now.
You know, I cleave onto the Lord Jesus Christ and Yeshua Messiah.
I use both of his names here, but yeah.
I cleave onto the Lord Jesus Christ.
Cleave onto the Father.
Cleave onto the Holy Spirit.
For he was a good man and full of the Holy Ghost in faith.
And much people was added unto the Lord.
Then departed Barnabas to Tarsus for to seek Saul.
So remember in the last chapters there we talked about this?
And he was like, are you kidding me?
God told him to go seek Saul.
Saul was killing Christians left and right.
And he goes, are you joking, God?
We went over this in the last couple chapters.
And Saul became Paul, as we demonstrated in the last couple chapters.
And when he had found him, he brought him into Antitope.
And it came to pass, that whole year, they assembled themselves with the church and taught much people.
And the disciples were called Christians first in the Antitope.
Now what does Christians mean?
It's a follower of Christ, right?
Now obviously back then they wouldn't call Christians because his name was Emmanuel or Yeshua.
You know what I mean?
His Hebrew name.
But yeah, Christian means a follower of Christ.
Or Yeshuaans or whatever you call yourself.
But yeah, this is just King James modern day English text, right?
So yes, Christians are followers of Jesus Christ.
And now the Christians here, right?
These Christians were nothing like today's Christians.
And I don't mean to disface people, but I'm going to tell you why.
Like I just explained earlier.
Christians, okay, they preached the Ten Commandments.
Jesus preached the Ten Commandments.
They kept the dietary laws.
Jesus kept the dietary laws.
Jesus honored the Sabbath day, the seventh day, right?
So didn't they.
So didn't the early church fathers, the apostles and all that, right?
So today, because of the Catholic Church, you've got Christians out there going to church on Sundays thinking it's the Lord's Day.
No, it's Saturday.
And yes, the Jews got that right because that's the Lord's Day.
Again, this was established before the Ten Commandments on the day of creation.
No other day, okay, did the Lord sanctify.
He only sanctified Saturday.
And you get the people out there, well, God knows my heart, and I don't know even what the heck that means, what you're trying to say.
It should be the point, alright, do you know God's heart?
Of course God knows all hearts.
He knows our hearts better than any of us, right?
What kind of cop-out is that?
God knows my heart.
What does that even mean?
You might want to ask yourself, do you know God's heart?
Because if you know God's heart, you'd be honored on the Sabbath.
Not this false pagan Sunday worship.
And taking the Ten Commandments off.
Are you kidding me?
When we move in the book of Revelation, I'll show you this stuff.
Revelation 14.12 where Jesus says, keep the commandments of God specifying the commandments of His Father and the faith in Him.
And if you've got the modern day churches today, right?
The Jewish churches will say, the temples, I'm sorry, right?
They'll say to keep the commandments, but they don't honor Jesus as the Messiah, right?
Then you've got the modern day Christian church that says, oh, no, no, no.
We don't have to keep the commandments, but Jesus the Messiah.
So they split this in half.
But when you look at the scripture, you're like, hold on, both of you guys, modern day Christians and the Jews, right?
Hold on, like, put a stop sign there.
What are you two talking about?
Jesus is the Messiah and Jesus says to keep the commandments of God.
Bottom line, you know what I mean?
You don't get to decide that.
And people say, well, God knows my heart.
If I want to go on a Sabbath on a Sunday or a Tuesday because I got to work, I got this, you know.
No, that's not how it works.
God does not revolve around you.
He made the Sabbath for man to follow, not for man to make their own decision.
I mean, not make their own schedule.
He sets the days, the feasts and all that, the biblical feasts.
You honor them.
It's not up to you or my schedule.
That's not how this works.
And again, people are wrong.
The biggest excuse I hear is that, oh, God knows my heart.
So what?
You should be asking, do you know God's heart?
We're supposed to emulate Messiah, right?
Messiah did all this stuff, taught people to do this stuff, As we read in Matthew, right?
Jesus says about people who don't teach the Ten Commandments to teach men not to honor the Ten Commandments, right?
You'll be called the least in the kingdom of God.
But those who live by the Ten Commandments, the commandments, right?
And teach men to do so, you'll be called great, great in the kingdom of God.
Sorry for the rant, guys.
It's just, like, really irritating me that people think, because of the dispensationalism, the John Nelson Darby garbage, and the Cyrus Schofield Study Bible, right?
These people were false prophets, false teachers, led by the insane criminal Jesuit church.
Very evil people.
That misled Christians all over the world.
Do you ever ask yourself why?
Why were the Ten Commandments all over every capital across this country?
Do you ever ask yourself why?
But the Ten Commandments were abolished?
Then why would they have statues and erected all over the country at one time?
For hundreds of years.
Do you ever ask yourself why?
Well, here's the reason why.
Because the Puritans, the Quakers, and the Christians in this country for hundreds of years all kept and taught the Ten Commandments.
It wasn't until the 1900s when the dispensationalism started affecting the modern day churches.
And also the Catholic church, or their influence started affecting the modern day Christian churches in this country.
There's a big night and day difference between the 20th century, 21st century Christians versus the 19th century Christians and the 18th century Christians.
Big difference.
They kept the commandments and they taught people to do so.
Today we don't do that.
We think we can eat whatever we want.
We think we can do whatever we want.
Oh, well, I got grace so I can do whatever I want.
No, you can't.
Grace is not a free pass to transgress the law.
That's what sin is.
Jesus kept the commandments.
We keep the commandments.
Bottom line.
And in nowhere in the scriptures we showed, and it's going to continue to show, that the Sabbath day has been changed.
Nowhere.
And people say, oh, no, no.
Sunday, it's the Lord's day now because he resurrected.
See, they all met at the tomb.
Number one, they all didn't meet at the tomb.
There was a couple of them that went to the tomb back and forth.
They didn't meet at the tomb.
And yes, they all met, but it didn't become a Sunday ritual after that.
They met that just one time at that place, and that was it.
But they continued to keep the Sabbath.
It was never changed.
This was a Catholic thing.
The Catholics admitted Constantine was the one who changed the Sabbath day.
When he hijacked Christianity.
But traditional Christians never followed that.
They opposed anything to do with the Catholic Church.
And that's why I have to really emphasize this stuff, guys.
And I'm not just attacking the Catholic Church, guys.
I am attacking every single religion out there.
Every one of them.
I don't follow any of these religions.
I am a follower of Jesus Christ and the Word of God.
I don't follow the 700 Club false prophet clowns.
Don't follow the pedophile pope.
I don't find any of these clowns on TV. I already got one middle man.
His name is Jesus Christ.
I don't need to pray to anybody else but Jesus.
And I'm very stern on that.
And the Bible teaches us to do such things.
Go through Jesus.
We don't need no other middle men.
We don't need people, middle men, if you want to call it that, right?
Intercessors, right?
We already got one.
It's Jesus.
I get the boss's number.
Why would you go to middlemen, right, which they're not middlemen in the first place, if you got the boss's number on speed dial?
And that boss is Jesus Christ.
There's no chain of command in the kingdom of God.
Except for one, I'm sorry, let me rephrase that.
There's only one part of chain of command in the kingdom of God.
You gotta go to Jesus to get to God.
That's it.
You don't need to go through Mary and angels and dead people to get to Jesus.
No, Jesus, the only name on the heaven.
So, sorry guys for the rant here.
So when he had found him, he had brought him unto Antidote, We're talking about Paul.
Saul's name isn't here, but he changes his name to Paul.
Jesus does later.
And it came to pass that the whole year they assembled themselves with the church.
They taught much people, and the disciples were called Christians first and Antioch.
And in these days came from prophets of Jerusalem onto Antioch.
And there stood upon one of them named Agonimus.
It's signified by the Spirit that That there should be a great dearth throughout the world, which came to pass in the days of Claudius.
So let me see what dearth means.
dearth is a scarcity or lack of something so I love this here because this is a bible study that I am learning myself So in the Bible it's a scarcity of provisions.
Right?
So these apostles stood up and one named Agabus, right?
He signified by the Spirit, in other words the Holy Spirit working through Agabus.
Speaking that there should be a great dearth throughout the world.
Which is what?
A dearth is...
A scarcity of provisions.
A famine, so to speak.
You know what I mean?
In other words, very limited.
And throughout all the world, right?
Which came to pass in the days of Claudius Caesar.
Then the disciples, every man according to his ability, determined to send relief unto the brethren which dwelt in Judea.
So every man according to his ability.
So this is very important too because understand, right?
And you see this several times in the Bible.
You talk about the parable of the talents, right?
Remember Jesus did that?
He mentioned these parables for a reason, guys.
They were just little fun little stories.
No.
There's a lot of context in these parables.
This is not a parable here, but Jesus talked about this, right?
Matthew and Mark and Luke, right?
A person according to his abilities, right?
The disciples, every man according to his ability, right?
So, basically, remember the parable of the talents?
One was given one, the other one was given three, the other one was given ten, whatever, right?
The reason why that each person was given certain amounts of talents, right, to be entrusted with them, because it's according to their ability.
It doesn't mean the one with the ten is better than you.
It's because that person can handle it better than you.
At the time, right?
I'm not saying you're not going to be able to handle something later.
But in other words, all of us here today, right?
Every one of us today that preaches the word of God or does something for the kingdom, right?
We are given according to our abilities.
Some people go out there and while they are warriors for Christ, Go into the streets, win souls and all this stuff.
There's other people that, you know, could already do a little bit because of their abilities, right?
And it's not a disability.
It doesn't mean you're less than the other person or better, whatever.
No.
The Lord gives you according to your ability.
And yes, you can build those abilities up, those attributes, right?
But very important, right?
Every man was given according to his ability.
Determined to send relief unto the brethren which dwelt in Judea.
So, if you want more abilities and all that, you pray for it.
God will get you ready for it.
It's like military, right?
When you come out of basic training, right?
This is why Jesus talked in parables.
So, you go into the military, right?
You go to boot camp, they call it, right?
Basic training, right?
Does it mean you're ready for war?
No, not even close.
But, you know, your ability to go to war is better than the recruit that hasn't gone to boot camp yet, right?
But you still got to go through more.
You got to go through MOS, that's your job.
Then you go through the specific skill training to be able to handle that kind of environment in that specific mission, right?
Even when you're in, you have to go through a certain training to handle that kind of mission.
The steps are involved.
Now, in the spiritual war, yeah, that's what we're here for, right?
We don't just read the Bible and all of a sudden, yeah, alright, I'm ready to go combat demons and Nephilim and everything else.
No.
We go according to our abilities.
Years ago, I couldn't even do this.
I didn't have the ability to do this.
So God used me according to my ability at the time, with the limited information I had, to work with that information.
And as over the years I gained experience, My attributes went up, right?
Then the Lord says, alright, we're going to take it a step further.
I entrust you with one talent.
I'm going to give you three talents now, Dan.
Then in a three to five and so on.
According to my ability.
And I'm able to do this now and I am honored to do this for the Lord.
And just to think that sometime in the future I could be trusted with more talents.
Given more, better ability to do what I'm doing now.
So what's your ability?
Ask yourself that, right?
And if you've got limited ability, don't worry about it.
Use whatever you have, even if it's a half a talent, right?
I'm using a metaphor, right?
Use it.
Use it.
Invest in it.
That's what it's for.
Because remember the parable of talents?
You invest in your talents.
Don't just hold on to them, right?
Hold on to them or bury them.
Let's not do nothing with it.
Then you're going to get that talent taken from you, as you learned from the parable of the talents, right?
So if you're not giving wisdom from God, right, right now, and you're not doing nothing with it, you know what's going to happen to you?
God's going to take that from you.
And you're going to be called useless.
Just like that.
Because God says, I've given you this knowledge.
Go out and tell the world.
So what good is having this knowledge if you're not doing nothing with it?
And if you can't speak or whatever, that's fine.
I'm not a perfect speaker either.
But write something like blogs, help people out, you know, put Bible verses, help people and all that on social media and all that, or people in your community.
This is something you can do.
Then God will give you a bill later on.
If you can't speak, He will give you that bill to speak.
He did that to Moses.
And if He could do that to me, okay, I couldn't even speak out to save my life.
And I still have a problem speaking.
God's given me that ability all the time to do this.
He did this to Moses, the same thing.
He did this to many of the prophets.
So just trust in the Lord.
The abilities and talents He's given you.
Use whatever you have.
Use it, invest it.
Don't just hold on to it, go invest it.
And that one talent could turn into two, to four, and so on.
I hope you guys get the point of what I'm saying.
This is what's going on here.
The disciples, every man according to his ability, determined to send relief unto the brethren which dwelt in Judea.
In the context, Sam, because there was a dearth going on, which was, yeah, scarcity provisions.
Last verse here, which also they did and sent it to the elders by the hands of Barnabas and Saul.
Because remember, the angel, this was amazing.
If you read the last chapter, too, when we covered it, right?
Barnabas was told today, hey, that guy Saul that's going around killing all of us, yeah.
God saying, all your disciples, yeah.
I want you to go meet him.
And Barnabas was like, are you crazy?
He's killing us all.
He's one of the most feared men from us.
He's given permission by the Jewish elders to capture us and kill us.
Are you sure of God?
Yes, I'm sure.
That's when Jesus blinded Saul.
Remember that?
And Saul saw a vision of Jesus.
This is long after the crucifixion now.
And chose Saul.
In the last chapter we learned that he chose Saul to redeem him.
So if he could redeem Saul, a murderer, This guy took pleasure in killing Christians.
If he could choose him and convert him, look at your life right now.
And there's a lot of people who think, you know, I've done this, I've done that.
I'm a useless piece of garbage.
Why would God choose me?
I'm a sinner, I did this and that.
You know what?
If he could choose Saul and convert Saul, he could do that to any one of us, guys.
And the stuff I've done in my life, I'm not too proud to say.
We all did bad stuff.
And we all continue to struggle with sin.
And every time you do sin, right, what does it do?
It just pushes away from God.
You feel like you're not worthy to be near God, which we're not, right?
But because of grace, he says, yeah, you are worthy.
Repent of those sins, you know, and he'll cleanse us.
So if he chose Saul, guys, he could choose you.
