declaring war on the new world order truth radio show dot com shalom and welcome to the damper down the short truth radio show dot com and welcome to the book of Acts chapter 3 if you miss chapters 1 through 2 please don't go any further and go watch those in our playlist
So what we do guys is an in-depth comprehensive study of the Bible, chapter by chapter, verse by verse.
We don't frog hop all over the Bible.
We stick to one chapter at a time and we don't just read through it.
We actually examine every word for word and get the full context of the scripture.
So, before we go, we have a specific Bible study approach.
We do every show, every program, I should say, that we pray for wisdom and understanding first.
So, let's do that right now.
So, Lord Jesus, Yeshua Messiah, we love you so much with all our heart and soul.
Thank you so much for going to Calvary for us.
Thank you for everything you've done for us.
And just to have that love for us.
To save us from hell, literally, and then like a fire.
So Lord, we ask you in your mighty name to please forgive us all of individual trespasses, sins, abominations, and everything we might have done today, Lord.
We ask you to purify us, to sanctify us with your precious blood.
And Father, we pray to you in the mighty name of Jesus.
And we ask you, Lord, Heavenly Father, number one, we love you with all our heart and soul.
Thank you so much for creating us.
And we ask you to give us divine wisdom and understanding of your word today in the book of Acts chapter 3. And we ask for the comforter, the Holy Spirit, to touch us, Lord, and to write your word upon our hearts so that we may be able to understand your word today.
We ask you to...
First of all, we pray for everybody out here who may be going through any kind of physical, spiritual, emotional, any kind of problems at all, battles, spiritual battles and everything else.
We ask you to comfort everybody, Lord, and myself as well, and protect us all against the forces of evil.
In your heavenly name we pray.
Amen.
And that's probably the most important...
Actually, it is the most important thing we can do, guys, before you even touch the Scriptures.
So now we do that.
We get ourselves clean here.
And now we can be able to see with our spiritual eyes and hear with our spiritual ears, right?
So we read the Scripture in context.
Now, very important we have to state this over and over again.
Context is key.
We don't just read through the Bible, like I said.
We don't just bounce all over the place.
We read it in context.
That's the most important thing.
And unfortunately, most important, if not, every mainstream religion doesn't do that anymore.
It's sad.
So let the Scripture interpret the Scripture.
Don't lean on your own understanding.
Let's lean on the understanding from the Holy Spirit, the divine teacher.
So thank you, Annie, on Shake Your Wake Radio for carrying the show on your awesome broadcast.
So we ask you to Everybody out there, if you're listening to ShakeWakeRadio.com, the audio edition, please open the Bible up to Acts chapter 3. And if you're watching right here at TruthRadioShow.com or our YouTube channels, we got right on the screen here, Acts chapter 3, the King James Version.
So, enough with the introduction here, so let's get into the nitty-gritty here.
So, this is an awesome chapter.
It displays apologies.
It's such amazing.
It really is.
So, Acts chapter 3. Let me check my audio.
Alright, good.
Because I tried to record this earlier, and it was a disaster.
I got halfway through and come to find out my microphone wasn't even on.
That was a bummer, but here we go.
So, let's do it again.
Acts chapter 3, and now, Peter and John, the apostles of John, right?
Peter and John, and mind you what I want to point out first, right?
This is, and if you don't know already, this is after, right?
After Jesus had already been crucified, rose from the dead, and went back to the Father, right?
And what did Jesus say?
He would give us the great comforter.
That's the Holy Spirit.
That would reside in us to help us understand His Word and be our comfort and everything, right?
So, now Peter and John are still running the ministry for Jesus, right?
So, Peter and John went up together into the temple at the hour of prayer.
And it specifies it's about the ninth hour, right?
So, a certain man laying from his mother's womb was carried.
Now, I want to point out, right...
Lame today, in today's world, lame is like a derogatory term for dumb or stupid, whatever the case.
No, then back here, back in this time, lame meant somebody that was a kind of handicap.
It wasn't derogatory.
It was like somebody that's handicapped or born with deficiency or malfunction or something like that.
That's what it meant.
And it's not a derogatory term in the context there.
So, again, a certain man...
Lane from his mother's womb was carried.
So this guy here was a physically handicapped person that couldn't walk.
Whom they laid daily at the gate of the temple, which is called Beautiful.
That's a nice name for the gate.
That's pretty cool.
You can only imagine how beautiful the gates of heaven are.
So anyway, he was there to ask for alms and then entered into the temple.
So every time he got there early, this handicapped guy couldn't even walk.
His mother carried him.
I think it was his mother's womb.
A certain man from his mother's womb was carried, right?
So yeah, he was carried there because he couldn't walk.
So before going to the temple for service, right, he would get there early and ask for elms.
So elms is like money, emotional time, food, whatever the case, right?
Because obviously he couldn't work back then.
Because you can't walk, you couldn't work back then, you know what I mean?
Things were different back then.
So, he would ask for help, right?
So, and I want to point out too, because this is the point of the Bible studies, right?
Alms, okay?
Alms is given.
Now, we all know, we should know what the Lord Jesus says in Matthew, right?
He says when you do your alms right, do it in secret, right?
Give in secret.
And you're going to be rewarded openly by the Father, right?
But if you give, in other words, if you walked up to this man, right?
And you were videotaping us for YouTube or Facebook or something like that, and you were making a spectacle, right?
Hey, look at me, everybody.
I'm giving him my $200 Jordans.
The sneakers there.
I'm giving him a coat that's worth $500.
Oh, he has $1,000 in cash.
Right?
That's great.
Beautiful to do that.
Absolutely.
And nothing wrong with that, but here's the thing.
You've already got your reward.
Because the Father...
I'm sorry, Jesus says, right?
When you give or do yelms there, right?
Do it in secret and you'll be rewarded openly by the Father.
But if you give in front of the synagogues, whatever the case, in front of men, right?
To make a spectacle out of it, yeah.
And you get praised by men.
You will be praised by men.
And if you went on YouTube or Facebook right now, right?
Went live and fed some homeless people and helped them out, right?
That's beautiful to do, right?
But, and you gotta get, I'm sorry, you gotta get all these praises from people, right?
And I would praise you too for helping these people out, right?
But you're not going to get no reward from the Father.
You know what I mean?
And then Jesus says this.
If you give in secret, he says give with your right hand and not let your left hand know what you're doing.
In other words, just give and forget about it.
That's it.
Don't make a spectacle about it if you want your reward in heaven.
Because if you get praised by a man, you've already got your reward.
And we've all seen this.
We've all been into the churches, guys.
And I'm sure everybody here can attest to this, right?
There's always the people.
You know who these people are, right?
They're the butt kissers of the church, right?
The pastor can say the dumbest joke.
And they would laugh hysterically, right?
You know what I'm talking about, right?
So, these are the same people, right?
They sit up front.
When the donation plate comes around, they whip out.
They fan it out to make sure everybody in the congregation knows what they're doing, right?
They fan out the $100 bill or something like that.
To make, oh look, look at me, you know?
And so what does it do?
It makes the people behind them that could barely afford anything, right?
That could only give a couple bucks, it makes them feel insignificant.
Which they shouldn't, because they have, and the scripture says they actually gave more because that's all they had, you know what I mean?
But, you know, I'm not going to go off the track too much here, but in other words, when you do your alms, do it in secret, right?
So anyway, back to the context here.
Again, a certain man, which is, this guy was handicapped, right?
Couldn't walk.
Laid at the gate, every day, daily, at the gate of the temple, which is called beautiful to ask for alms, right?
And then entered the temple afterwards, right?
So...
It's like you going to church early and standing outside asking for help from people before the church started, right?
So who's seeing Peter and John about to go into the temple and ask for help?
So this guy sees Peter and John coming about to enter the temple and he asks them, hey, I need help.
Could you help me with some money or something, right?
And Peter...
Fastened his eyes upon him with John and said, look on us.
So Peter and John stopped, right?
Looked at the man and told the guy, look on us.
And the guy's like just looking and expecting.
All right, they're going to help me, right?
So, and it says he gave heed unto them, expecting to receive something of them, right?
So, this guy's expecting John and Peter to give him some money, right?
So, then Peter said, silver and gold I have none.
I don't have no silver, I don't have no money here yet.
But such as I have, give I thee.
In the name of Jesus Christ of Nazareth, rise up and walk.
So he took the man by his right hand and lifted him up, and immediately his feet and ankles and bones received strength.
So, this is awesome, because remember, Peter and John are still continuing the ministry, right?
And they're able to do these things to spread the gospel.
And it's not them personally, it's the Spirit through them.
The Holy Spirit and Jesus' power through them, right?
And we all can harness this stuff, too.
You know what I mean?
In Jesus' name.
When you do things in the name of Jesus and you believe it, These things will happen.
That's why, how many times did Jesus say, when you pray for these things, right?
Believe the prayer.
Believe it.
And it's going to happen.
I've learned that even more during the series, guys.
I can't express enough, okay, how much this works.
And no, I mean, if you sit there and pray, you know, I believe I'm going to have a brand of Ferrari outside my house.
It doesn't work like that.
You know what I mean?
I know people, it's like, well, if I pray and believe for a million dollars, it's going to appear.
No, it doesn't work like that.
I know a lot of prosperity gospels and churches teach that crap, but that's not biblical.
So he's going to give you what you need and whatnot, right?
That's what it is, right?
The praying believes.
Remember the woman?
I bring this up all the time.
The woman in Matthew who...
She was an unclean woman.
She tried to get to Jesus, but Jesus was surrounded by a crowd of people, right?
Multitudes of people.
So she said to herself, if I could only touch his garment, if I could only touch it, I would be made clean again, right?
She believed it.
So she pushed through the crowd and everything she had to do, and last week she could, grabbed his garment.
Immediately Jesus stopped, because he felt his countenance leave him.
In other words, it healed him.
He turned around and said, who touched me?
And she looked at him and she goes, I did, but she thought he was going to get mad.
He goes, but he didn't get mad.
He said, no, because it wasn't your, it wasn't your, I mean, sorry, it wasn't my tassel, my garment that made you clean.
He goes, it was your faith because you believed.
And Jesus says when you pray, believe the prayer.
Believe it with the whole heart and soul.
And it will happen.
You know what I mean?
Asking you shall receive.
So anyway, Peter told the guy, I don't have no money to give you, but I got something better than that.
I got something better than money.
You know?
And he looked at the man and grabbed him by his right hand, right?
And immediately, his feet and ankle bones received strength.
So, could you imagine the transformations going on right now?
So, you never walked in a day in your life, right?
Grabbed the guy by his right hand and told him to get up and walk, right?
Lifted him up.
And bam!
Imagine what was going on in his feet, ankles, and bones.
Probably restructuring the bones immediately and giving them strength and muscle and everything he needed to do that, right?
And this is how powerful it was because instead of standing up, right?
And he leaped up stood.
He leaping up stood.
In other words, he jumped up.
Not just good up, right?
This guy never walked a day in his life.
Never.
Because it says right here, from the womb, this guy was lame.
He was born handicapped.
First time in his life, okay, he received what he needed to do, you know, the strength and muscles and everything else and bones, whatever happened, right, to his legs, right?
This guy jumped up.
Jumped.
I would too.
And walked and entered with them into the temple, walking, leaping, and praising God.
I'd be doing that too, right?
Right?
So this guy just jumped up onto his feet.
And he started jumping around all happy and praising.
Yeah, imagine that.
I don't even know how old this guy was.
But all his life he couldn't walk.
Imagine that?
The first time he could walk.
I'd be running all over the place.
I'd be jumping and everything else.
I'd be so awesome, right?
So here's the cool thing too.
Everybody's seen him, right?
And all the people that saw him walking and praising God, right?
Right?
So mind you, right, every day this handicapped guy, every day he went to the temple.
Everybody knew who he was.
Everybody that went to the temple knew who he was.
Knew he was born handicapped, right?
Now they see him for the first time ever walking, jumping up, praising God, right?
Could you only imagine what a testimony that would have been to the people going there?
These men of Jesus healed him.
So verse 10, and they knew that it was he which sat for alms at the beautiful gate of the temple, and they were filled with wonder and amazement at the which he had happened unto him.
So, this is the people.
The people that went to the church that seen him every day, right?
All numerous handicapped guys.
So, they were full with wonder and amazement that what happened to him.
You know, like, witness to what happened to this guy.
How he was healed, right?
And as the lame man which was healed helped Peter and John, all the people ran together unto them in the porch and it's called Solomon's Greatly Wondering, right?
So they are in the porch area and it's called Solomon's Greatly Wondering.
So it's interesting names too, like the gate was called Beautiful, right?
And the porch area is called Solomon's Greatly Wondering.
Let me actually look that up for a minute, guys.
This is part of the Bible study, too.
It's pretty cool.
So let me see.
Gate called Beautiful.
So let's see what that is.
See if there's any images of it.
Oh, yeah.
The Eastern Gate called Beautiful.
So I want to point this out.
Check this out, right?
This is the Eastern Gate, right?
And it's called Beautiful.
Right here.
Notice how it's sealed up, by the way, and there's a graveyard there now?
And I want to point out why they did that.
The Muslims did that, and the Jews.
I want to point that out right now, because here's the thing.
When Jesus says he returns, he's ascended from the Mount of Olives, he comes back on the Mount of Olives, right?
Comes through the Eastern Gate, right?
Why do you think they sealed up the wall for and put a graveyard there to make it hollow ground?
To try to prevent Jesus.
This is how serious, guys.
The Jews that don't believe in Jesus, the Messianic Jews, I'm sorry, the regular Jews that don't believe in Jesus and the Muslims, right?
They did this purposely to put a graveyard there so Jesus couldn't walk on it because it's hollow ground.
And they sealed the gate up.
This is how serious they are against Jesus as our Savior.
They did this purposely.
They think this is going to prevent our Savior from returning.
I want to point that out, right?
And this is called the beautiful gate, right?
This is what Peter's talking about, right?
It's amazing.
At the beautiful gate of the temple.
That's where the temple once stood.
And the other one here is Solomon's Greatly Wandering.
So let's check that out.
So I guess it's the porch area right there.
All right.
Salman's Porch.
I'm trying to get a good look at this we'll talk about.
This way we have an idea.
So here's a beautiful gate, right?
So the temple that was once there.
Now mind you, right?
The temple's gone, obviously, because the second temple was destroyed.
The gates are still there.
But they sealed it up to try to prevent Jesus from returning, right?
Yeah, and there's the porch, I guess, over here somewhere.
Let me see.
Yeah, amazing.
It really is.
So it looks like something like that.
Solomon's Porch.
So basically that's where somebody would stand, whatever, do preaching, whatever, I'm assuming.
So yeah, I just want to check out what these places were.
But isn't it interesting how much context you could pull out?
We already told verse 11 how much context we pulled out of this already.
And this is what churches should be doing, guys.
And what they'll do is read two or three verses and jump to another chapter or book.
You don't do that.
You read the Bible in this context so you can fully understand that.
Understand what a Nazarene is.
We should know that.
All this stuff.
You know, the alums, everything else we've just learned in 11 verses already.
And we've been here for 20 minutes.
So that's amazing.
We've learned a lot already.
There's more to come.
And when Peter saw it, he answered unto the people...
And it looks like, yeah, right there.
In front of everybody, right?
So, and Peter saw it, and he answered unto the people, and ye men of Israel, why marvel at this?
Why are you marveling at this?
Or why look so earnestly at us?
As though by our own power or holiness we had made this man walk.
So, again, they healed the man, right?
So everybody's looking in amazement, right?
All the people looking around, Amazed of what happened.
They think Peter and John did this.
And Peter's like, no, no, no, guys, why are you all looking at us like this?
As if we did this.
As if we had the power to make this man walk.
He said, the God of Abraham and Isaac and Jacob, the God of our fathers, hath glorified his son Jesus, whom ye have delivered up and denied him in the presence of Pilate when he was determined to let him go.
So he's bringing it up to the Jews where he had.
Remember that?
That guy that you all, all of you, denied him when he was here?
He said that he's your savior and all that?
And you had to chance to let him go, but instead you chose a criminal, Barabbas, to be released?
And Jesus did nothing wrong.
Remember that?
Yeah.
He's bringing it up to him.
It's like, yeah, it wasn't us that did this.
It was Jesus.
The very person you guys, you people, delivered up to get killed, right?
To get crucified.
And denied him in the presence of Pilate when he was determined to let him go.
Pilate wanted to let him go.
And the Jews refused to do that.
They actually supported a criminal who committed crimes and to let him go instead of Jesus did nothing, right?
This is what Peter's bringing up.
He's like, well, remember that guy?
Remember, it wasn't us that healed the lame man.
It was Jesus that did that.
The very same person that you guys delivered up.
But you denied the Holy One and just desired a murderer to be granted unto you.
That's Barabbas, right?
They had the choice because Pilate didn't want to execute Jesus.
He said he did nothing wrong at all, right?
So it was during the festival there that it was a ritual, I guess.
Every year they would take two people and the people got to decide who gets executed and who gets released, right?
And they get to pick one person that got released, right?
They chose a murderer, a criminal over Jesus to be released.
Sounds like much today, doesn't it?
You got politicians out there supporting criminals and murderers.
But going after patriots and everything else, I'm not going to go down that road, but you get the point, right?
But he says, you denied the Holy One, and the just, in other words, he did nothing wrong.
And desired a murder to be granted unto you.
You guys set a murder free, that's Jesus, right?
And killed the Prince of Life, that's Jesus, right?
Whom God has raised from the dead, whereof we are witnesses.
We witness this, he says, him rising from the dead.
That's, you know, another name for Jesus, right?
Prince of life.
I never heard that before, really.
And the thing is, there's so many names for Jesus.
And I know the sacred name of people out there and all that.
I don't pull that garbage.
You know what I mean?
There's so many names for Jesus.
So many names for God.
Prince of life.
He's a prince of peace, prince of this world, everything else, right?
Yeah.
So verse 16, and in his name, to faith in his name, Has made this man strong.
So this is Peter saying, we didn't do this.
It wasn't our power that did this.
It's because of faith in his name, in the name of Jesus.
And in his name, Jesus had made this man strong.
Whom you see and know.
Yea, the faith which is by him has given him this perfect soundness in presence to you, all of you.
So this is Peter just saying, remember you guys killed Jesus?
Yeah.
How to put to death?
This is the guy, Jesus is the one who healed this man.
Because they were all astonished, amazed, and praising God that this man was healed, right?
And they thought it was Peter and John.
No, it wasn't us.
It was the guy that you guys put to death.
Jesus.
And now, brethren, I won't that though in ignorance you did it, as did also your rulers.
Right?
So yeah, your ignorance, not you guys listening here, Peter's saying to the people, your ignorance, remember that?
Yeah, and your ruler's ignorance.
But those things which God before had showed by the mouth of all his prophets that Christ should suffer, he has also so fulfilled.
And he says, Repent therefore, and be converted, that your sins may be blotted out when the times of refreshing come from the presence of the Lord.
So, I'm assuming it looks like something like this, yeah?
And since he's got everybody's attention from the healing, right?
He's sitting there telling everybody, you need to repent now.
Come to Jesus now.
Now you witness the power of Jesus.
Now it's time to be converted.
Now it's time to repent.
So your sins will be blotted out.
And he shall send Jesus Christ, which before was preached unto you, whom the heaven must receive until the times of restitution of all these things, which God has spoken by mouth and all his holy prophets since the world began.
So he's bringing up the fact that all the prophets that prophesied the coming of Jesus and everything, right?
You all believed him, right?
Yeah, you all believed him.
That when he was here, you didn't believe him.
Now you've seen the power of him.
Now it's time to repent.
Turn yourselves around.
And for Moses truly said unto the fathers, A prophet shall the Lord your God raise up unto you of your brethren, like unto me.
Him shall you hear of all things whatsoever ye shall say unto you.
And it shall come to pass that every soul which I will not hear that prophet, which will not hear the prophet, every soul which will not hear the prophet shall be destroyed from among the people.
So he's talking, yeah, yeah, unfortunately, even to this day, people don't want to hear, they don't want to hear the scriptures.
And they're going to be destroyed.
It's unfortunate.
It's unfortunate.
And yea, of all the prophets from Samuel and those that follow after, as many have spoken, have likewise foretold of these days.
He's bringing up all the prophets.
And the thing is, these people knew everything about the prophets, the prophecies, everything about them, right?
And Peter, I'm sorry, is saying, yeah, they all told you about these days, this day here, these days.
Jesus, come, be crucified, raised from the dead, and now you're witnessing the power thereof.
And you are children of the prophets, and the covenant which God made with our fathers, saying unto Abraham, and thy seed showed all the kindreds of the earth be blessed.
Thy seed is a bloodline.
Children, that's what seed means.
And the kindreds, that's countless.
So, you know, the prophet said before that, you know, God told them that Abraham's seed will multiply more than the stars.
Remember that?
When we read about Abraham and all that?
God told Abraham his seed is going to multiply more than the stars to fill the entire earth.
That's amazing.
That is amazing.
Again, it's his children's, children's, children's, children's and all and so on.
His bloodline, his heritage, his seed, right?
Unto you first, God, having raised up his son Jesus, sent him to bless you and turning away every one of you from his iniquities.
So it goes on to the next chapter, which we'll get into the next time.
So basically the next chapter is a continuation of this first one here.
I'm sorry, chapter 3. So, again, we do chapter by chapter, and this way we can take our time and absorb this information.
But please, when we do chapter 4, remember chapter 3. It's a continuation from chapter 4. 3, I'm sorry.
Don't want to confuse you guys.
So, yeah.
So, I encourage you guys to read this for yourselves.
So, we'll see you for chapter 4. But remember, guys, yeah, this is very important.
It really is.
And I want you to read this for yourselves.
Trust the plan of God, guys.
It's the only plan you should be trusting.
Don't take my word or anybody else's word for it.
Read it for yourselves.
