So if you missed chapter 1 please go to our playlist and watch it.
So everybody welcome to the Dan Badani Show and before we begin we do a specific Bible study approach.
Number one we pray for wisdom and understanding because we need the power of the Holy Spirit to help us with this today.
So, Yeshua, Jesus, we come to you, and we ask you to forgive us all of our individual sins and trespasses that we committed, and make us pure, so we can come to the Father, and through your name, Jesus, that we come to the Father, and Father, we ask you to give us the Holy Spirit,
the great comforter, to help us understand your wisdom and your word today in the book of Acts chapter 2. And we ask you to Heal anybody or comfort anybody that's going through kind of any ailments, physically, mentally, emotionally, spiritually, and also protect us, Lord, from the forces of evil.
In your mighty name, amen.
So, that being done, we read the scripture in context, because context is key.
Very important to understand, context is key.
We don't frog-hop all over the Bible.
We go chapter by chapter, plain and simple.
Read the scriptures in context.
Bottom line.
And let the scripture interpret the scripture.
Don't lean on our own understanding about what the Holy Spirit has to offer us today.
So that being said, guys, if you've got a Bible, turn it over to Acts chapter 2. And if you listen to an audio edition on ShakeAwakeRadio.com, and thank you Miss Annie for providing us a great platform on ShakeAwakeRadio.com, an audio edition where you can listen to the shows in your vehicle or anywhere on the go.
So, pretty cool stuff.
So if you've got a Bible, open it up, and if you're watching on the video edition here on TruthRadioShow.com, please watch the screen.
We've got the King James Version up here.
So, regardless, open up your Bibles, guys, and let's begin.
So...
Chapter 2, okay, and when the day of Pentecost was fully come, they were all with one accord in one place.
So the day of Pentecost, I always go over this a lot through the scripture here, that Pentecost is a biblical holiday.
Not Easter, not Good Friday, not Christmas, nothing like that.
Pentecost, what they call the Jewish holidays, they're biblical holidays.
They're not just for the Jews because they're God's holidays.
God set them for the Jews to honor them.
And it's in Scripture.
These are the holidays that Jesus himself took part of.
So, you know, put that as a note.
So, and when the day of Pentecost was to fully come, and they were all with one accord in one place.
So, with one accord means they were all praying together, all together, and plain and simple.
And suddenly there came a sound from heaven as of rushing mighty wind.
And it filled all the house where they were sitting.
So they were all praying together, and just sitting together, praying together, and this mighty wind just come rushing through the house.
And a great sound from heaven.
So this must have been something awesome.
So, and there appeared unto them a cloven tongue as fire, and sat upon each of them.
So there...
Just picture what's going on.
They're sitting at this table, probably, all praying together, and all of a sudden, the room fills up with this wind and this noise and everything else, and appeared unto them cloven tongues, but they were fire.
This is the Holy Spirit that actually appeared to them, right?
And they were, you know, the Holy Spirit's with us today, and they were filled with the ghosts, the Holy Ghosts, And began to speak with other tongues as the Spirit gave them utterance.
Now, the Bible talks about tongues, right?
Now, this is what real tongues are.
You've got to understand what real tongues are.
Not the chupity-ba-ba-doopity-ba-doop stuff you hear at the local Baptist church or one of those charismatic churches, right?
As the Bible talks about tongues, Jesus himself says, if nobody can understand them or they're not edified, they're of the devil, plain and simple.
They're not of God.
God is not the author of Confucian.
So, and you get those deliverance churches, they're called the charismatic churches and all that.
They do that all the time.
And nobody can understand what they're saying, and it's all emotions.
And most of the time, it's unclean spirit that's working through them.
Not the Holy Spirit.
The Holy Spirit is not going to make you bark like a dog, laugh hysterically, or have convulsions all over the stage, like the Benny Hymn shows and everything else.
That's not the Holy Spirit, guys.
That's actually the kundalini spirit.
Ancient serpent spirit.
It's evil.
Know the difference, right?
So now check it out, right?
And they were dwelling at Jerusalem Jews, right?
Devout men in every nation under heaven.
So there was a bunch of people from everywhere at this place.
And now, when this was a noise abroad, the multitude came together.
So it's thousands of people.
We learn in the Bible, multitude means thousands of people.
Came together and were confounded because that every man heard them speak in his own language.
And they were all amazed and marveled, saying to one another, Behold, are not these which speak Galileans?
They were just like baffled.
What's going on here?
Because these are guys who usually speak Galilean.
How are we all hearing them in our own language, right?
And it says, how hear we every man in our own language?
Wherein we were born.
So that nationality language, they were hearing them speak The Holy Spirit through them speak.
This is what real tongues is.
This is real tongues.
So I'm going to summarize this here, right?
So you can understand it.
This is why Jesus talked in parables.
And I'm going to use one here, an example, if you want to call it, by layman's terms, right?
This is why Jesus used this stuff.
So you can not possibly misunderstand him, right?
Just say right now, right?
You got...
A room full of people, right?
Everybody in the room is from different nations, right?
You just say you've got a hundred different nations, right?
Dozens of different languages, right?
In the room, right?
If one of us was to speak in the Holy Spirit with the tongues, right?
Everybody in that room would hear you in their own language.
The native language.
That's where we were born, right?
The native language.
That's what's going on here.
You have people from all over the world, just about all over the Middle East and Europe there, all hearing these things spoken in their own language.
And now they're baffled.
Like, how is this possible?
Just like today, right?
Like, you know, we were in front of a room of people from all over the world.
The Chinese would be like, oh, he spoke to Chinese people in Japan.
Like, he spoke to the Japanese.
He spoke in English.
He spoke in Spanish.
He spoke in Italian, you know?
That's what's going on here.
So, Pythians, Medes, Alamites, and dwellers of the Mesopotamia, and Judea and Capricornia, and Pontus in Asia, Pythagora and Pamphylia in Egypt, and all the parts of Libya, about Cyrene and the strangers of Rome, Jews and proselytes, Cretes and Arabians.
We do hear them speak in our tongues the wonderful works of God.
So they're just like, wow, man.
You know, this amazes me just reading.
So look at all these nations they mentioned, right?
They got 1, 2, all these tongues, I'm sorry, different languages, right?
So, it's not like, I gotta explain this in detail, right?
It's not like when they're speaking, right?
They don't say, alright, I'm gonna speak in Spanish first, then Asian first, then this one first.
No.
They're just speaking.
Once.
They're speaking the message once.
And every one of these languages could hear them in their own language.
That's what's going on here.
I just like to specify things because a lot of times people take me out of context.
In other words, they wouldn't sit in there just speaking a message.
Just say, for example, the message is like, welcome to our church, right?
They're not going to say, all right, I'm going to say welcome to my church in Pathetian.
They say it again in Medias.
They say it again in Alamites.
No, they just said it once.
And every one of these languages heard them in their own tongue.
So I hope I made that clear.
And if I didn't, guys, please put it in the comment section.
And I'll try to make it clearer for you.
So, verse 12. And they were all amazed.
And were in doubt.
Saying to one another, what means is this?
They were just shocked.
What is going on?
Others mocked that these men are full of new wine.
So, of course, and we got this today.
We all see this on social media and everywhere you go.
You got the clowns out there, right?
The mockers.
Who have no clue about nothing, but they'll weigh in on something just to try and make themselves look educated about what you talk about, when they're clearly not, right?
So anyway, they're accusing the apostles of being drunk.
But if they were drunk, how would they ever speak like that in all languages you could hear them?
I'm sorry, I've seen a lot of people drunk, and I've never seen people, I mean them speak, that everybody can hear them.
They'll slur their words, yeah, but not like this.
So, of course, Mark is accusing them of being drunk, right?
But Peter, standing up with the eleven, lifted up his voice and said unto them, You men of Judea, and all that dwell in Jerusalem, be this known unto you, and harking to my words.
Harking means you better listen.
Harking to these words.
Pay attention.
You better listen to what I'm about to tell you.
For these are not drunken, as ye suppose seeing, it is but the third hour of the day.
So in other words, it's not, you know, because usually people drink it later at night, right?
Not in the middle of the day, because, you know, it's just, whatever the case, right?
But Peter's saying, no, they're not drunk.
You better listen to what they're about to say.
But this is that which is spoken by the prophet Joel.
And it shall come to pass in the last days, says God, I will pour out my spirit upon all flesh.
This is talking about these days, guys.
This is Peter.
Talking about these days to come, in the last days, right?
And, you know, by all the prophecies and everything else, we can clearly see we're in the last days.
And if not, we're in the last days, we're very close.
Which I truly believe were in the last days, but that could be up for debate.
So I was talking about these times.
And your sons and daughters shall prophesy, and your young men shall see visions, and your old men shall dream dreams.
Well, this is so prophetic and very true.
I myself had dreams and visions of things that God showed me, right?
Right?
I'm seeing all the time now people, like kids, that could barely speak, come out and say, you know, give a specific description of angels and things of heaven.
It's amazing.
And people with near-death experiences, I mean, yeah.
This is awesome.
I myself had dreams of prophecy.
I myself had visions of From God, yeah.
And it says, And on my servants, and on my handmaidens, I will pour out those days in my spirit, and they shall prophesy.
That's what's going on today.
And I will show wonders in heaven above, and signs of the earth beneath, blood and fire and vapor of smoke.
So, where you are right now, approaching the month of May, we're in late April of 2023. So we've been seeing the aurora borealis, which is known as the Northern Lights.
No time in history that's been recorded, right, has people from all over the world seen the Northern Lights like this at nighttime, right?
No time in history.
But this is God showing himself.
The signs of showing wonders in heaven.
He's doing this right now, guys.
Yeah, this is truly amazing.
And this is what's going on right now.
And he goes on to talk about the fire in the vapor of smoke.
And the sun shall be turned into darkness.
Now this will be after a lot of days.
As we read in Matthew 24. The sun shall be turned into darkness and the moon into blood.
And before that, a great and notable day of the Lord come.
And if you remember reading Matthew chapter 24 with us, we showed you there's no pre-tribulation rapture.
Jesus comes after the Antichrist and after the sun and moon lose their light.
And the stars fall from heaven.
And he redeems his people from all corners of the world.
And also resurrects the dead.
So, and it shall come to pass that whoever shall call on the name of the Lord shall be saved.
So that's today, guys.
We call it right now.
If you're not a believer, call on the name of the Lord, Jesus Christ, Yeshua Messiah.
And you shall be saved.
Believe in Him, confess your sins, repent from them, you shall be saved.
Quite and simple.
It's written in Scripture, yeah.
And again, this is just amazing, right?
And it says, I'll show wonders in heaven above.
We're seeing this now, guys.
All kinds of astronomical things going on right now.
Just signs in heaven, signs in the earth going on.
We got the Great River Euphrates and Tigris drying up.
We got rivers just popping up in the middle of the desert.
All this stuff is hopping off right now.
And again, it's April 27th of 2023. So, the sun shall be turned into darkness and the moon to blood, and before that a great noble day of the Lord to come.
And it shall come to pass that whoever shall call on the name of the Lord shall be saved.
Amen.
And ye, in verse 22, you men of Israel, hear these words, Jesus of Nazareth, a man approved of God among you by miracles and wonders and signs, which God did by him in the midst of you, as you yourselves know.
So that's the cool thing, right?
Back then...
These people lived, they literally seen these great wonders in science, right?
We haven't.
As Jesus pointed out, right?
And John, the book of John, telling the disciples, you guys seen the stuff, the miracles and everything else, and you still have a hard time believing, right?
But the people in the future, they're not going to see nothing like that.
And they're going to believe more.
That's us.
But now in the end times, we're starting to see these wonders of science.
It's amazing.
It's so awesome.
So prophetic.
It's awesome.
And verse 23, Him being delivered by the determinate counsel and foreknowledge of God, you have taken, and by the wicked hands have crucified Him and slain Him.
And whom God has raised up, having loosed all the pains of death, because it was not possible that he should be holding of it.
So I'll talk about the crucifixion of Jesus.
Went into the grave for three days and three nights, right?
Into the grave, and in Shoal, they call it, right?
Paradise, and I'm sorry, in Shoal, and he went into the site of hell to redeem people that were before him, that didn't make the cut, and they went to hell.
And he redeemed them, right?
So basically, Jesus conquered death, and he's got the keys of Hades.
The Father raised them up from the dead.
That's awesome.
And for David speaks concerning him, so he's saying that David, he prophesies about Jesus.
And I foresaw the Lord always before my face, for he is on the right hand, and I should not be moved.
So right now, yeah, Jesus is on the right hand of God.
And therefore did my heart rejoice, and my tongue was glad.
Moreover also my flesh shall rest in hope.
So I think it really kicked in the apostles, right?
When they were going around preaching and everything.
And they still challenged Jesus, basically, because Jesus told them things and they still didn't really believe it half the time until they'd seen these things, right?
But I think after the death of Jesus and when he rose from the dead, then ascended to heaven, I think that was it to the apostles, right?
That's when they finally got it.
Because even when Jesus was out of his death, ready to go be crucified, right?
They were still having a hard time with themselves.
So I don't think they fully got 100% until Jesus ascended to heaven.
So now you see the apostles are on fire more than they ever were.
As you notice, Matthew, Mark, Luke, and John, you know, there's different challenges the apostles went through.
And now here in Acts, they're very active.
They're on fire.
And he goes on to say, because you have not let leave my soul in hell, neither will you suffer thine holy one in the corruption.
And thou hast made known to me the ways of life that shall make me full of joy with countenance.
So if you want to know what continence is, and I'm going to get the specific definition for that for you.
I like to do this.
It's part of a Bible study, you know, to learn different things.
Continence meaning.
It's an expression on the face, especially a facial expression of a sign, mood, emotion, or character.
a show of approval.
That's what it means there.
So, again, you have made me known into the ways of life that you shall make me full of joy with thy countenance.
So, men and brethren, let me freely speak unto you of the patriarch David, that he is both dead and buried, and is with us to this day.
Right?
He's explaining how David, yeah, David prophesies about Jesus and everything else, right?
Jesus, you know, he's from the bloodline of David.
Mary and It's from the bloodline of David, right?
But David's in the grave, which he's in paradise.
He's in Abraham's bosom.
He's not in heaven yet.
And therefore, being a prophet, and knowing that God has sworn an oath to him, that of the fruit of his loins, according to the flesh, he would raise up Christ to sit on his throne.
As we've seen in the last couple books, the crucifixion, the resurrection of Jesus Christ.
He's seen this before I spoke of the resurrection of Christ, and the soul was not left in hell.
Neither his flesh did not corrupt.
See, this confirms right here where Jesus went.
He went to hell to redeem people, to conquer death.
So, a lot of churches can't understand us.
They think this is figuratively speaking, when they say he was in the grave, that means he just died.
That's it.
He was in the grave.
And they believe, just being in the grave and you're out there, that you're just buried.
That's it.
You're dead.
You don't do nothing.
You're not anywhere.
And they can't take this literally, because they don't understand biblical cosmology, nor do they understand spiritual warfare right.
The Bible makes it very clear.
And this is the proof right here.
Jesus in the grave was in the grave, yes.
And the grave, the biblical description of the grave, guys, is in Shul.
One side is hell, one side is Abraham's bosom, which is paradise.
Guys, remember Jesus told the guy on the cross?
He goes, from this day forward, you'll be with me where?
In paradise.
Remember Lazarus and the rich man?
Yeah, go research that story.
That account, I'm just going to say.
It's not just a story, this is real.
These places are real.
And Jesus went in the grave into hell.
He wasn't cast to hell to suffer, no.
He went into hell to redeem the lost souls, to conquer death, to grab the keys of Hades.
Hades and hell are the same place.
And again, I've got to disclose this here.
Hell and the lake of fire are two different places, by the way.
Hell is a temporary place.
After judgment, at the end times, right?
After judgment, the Bible says hell itself is thrown into the lake of fire.
Hell is just a temporary place.
The lake of fire makes hell look like a walk in the park.
So you want to put that out there.
So hell is like a jail cell you sit in.
You go to the judge, right?
And if you're convicted, guess where you go?
You go to the thing called the big house, right?
The big prison.
That's in comparison to this.
And in this case, hell itself was going into the lake of fire.
So, seeing that before he spoke of the resurrection of Christ, that his soul was not left in hell, neither his flesh did the corruption, right?
And this Jesus has God raised up, and where are all the witnesses, right?
Where are all the witnesses, he's saying.
Because they witnessed him resurrect.
They witnessed Him.
They appeared before them in the Spirit.
Then they witnessed Him from the Mount Olives transcend into heaven in a cloud, right?
That's the same way He's coming back.
So verse 33, Therefore, being in the right hand of God, being by the right hand of God, exalted, and having received of the Father the promise of the Holy Ghost, And he has shed forth this, which we now see in the air, right?
And remember Jesus said, hey, when I leave, he told them, I'm going to pray to the Father to send you a comforter, right?
And that comforter is the Holy Spirit.
And he said, he will come to you when I leave, right?
And sure enough, he did.
The Holy Ghost, he is the comforter, right?
And that's the promise.
Receive the promise of the Father, the Holy Ghost.
And for David is not ascended into the heavens, but he himself, the Lord said unto my Lord, shall sit, though, on my right hand, until I make thy foes thy footstool, right?
My foes thy footstool.
So he's talking about evil, right?
Evil's going to be our footstool.
It's pretty cool.
When you actually examine all this, it's like you really examine it to depth.
You're like, wow.
The spiritual significance of this stuff is amazing.
So he says, For David is not ascended into the heavens, but as said himself, the Lord said unto my Lord, Sit, though, on my right hand, until I make your enemies by your footstool.
And therefore, let all the house of Israel know, assuredly, that God has made the same Jesus, whom you have crucified, both Lord and Christ.
So, Peter's yelling at the Jews here.
He's telling them, like, yeah, okay.
You talk about David, right?
You talk about Jesus here.
You people crucified Jesus.
And if you don't turn, you're going to be his footstool.
This is going to be you.
He's talking about the Jews, right?
Because therefore, let all the houses of Israel know assuredly that God has made that the same Jesus, right?
That sits on His right hand.
Whom you have crucified, both Lord and Christ's.
And now when they heard this, they were pricked in the heart and said unto Peter and to the rest of the apostles, men and brethren, what shall we do?
So pricked means, yeah, they were like, oh man, it really got to him.
Like, oh man, they're scared.
What do we do?
Because now they're sitting there like, you know, they just see them talking tongues through the Holy Spirit, right?
And all these people of these different nations all heard them, about 20 of them, different languages, right?
All heard them.
In their own language.
So now they get their Jews' attention.
Now they're like, alright, what do we do now?
They're nervous, right?
Then Peter said unto them, repent and baptize everyone you in the name of Jesus Christ for the remissions of sins and you shall receive the gift of the Holy Ghost.
See that big word right there?
There's a big word right there about a lot of religions and churches like just seldomly bypass or slightly bypass all the time.
Yeah.
Repent.
That means to turn away.
Again, Peter told them because they're like, oh man, they're seeing all this and they're like, no, the hots are pricked.
They're like, oh man, what do we do?
They're asking the apostles, well, what should we do?
What should we do?
You know, they're nervous.
And again, Peter said to them, repent means turn away and be baptized Every one of you in the name of Jesus Christ for the remissions of sins and you shall receive the gift of the Holy Ghost.
And for the promise is unto you and to your children and all that are far off and even as many as the Lord our God shall call.
So go tell everybody.
Baptize everybody.
It's a massive call to come to Christ.
The very Christ that day crucified.
These Jews, right?
And Peter's telling them, just repent and be baptized for the remission of your sins.
And with many words, they testify and exhort, saying, save yourselves from the untoward generation.
This untoward generation, right?
So, this evil generation, save yourselves from it.
Then they gladly received his word and were baptized.
And the same day they were added unto them about 3,000 souls.
So he just converted 3,000 Jews from showing them the power of the Holy Spirit.
That's amazing.
And they were all baptized that day.
It was great.
And they continue steadfast in the apostles' doctrine and fellowship, and in breaking of bread and prayers.
So they continue with their teachings and learn more about Christ and the doctrine.
And fear came upon every soul, and many wonders and signs were done by the apostles.
So fear is, in other words, like, wow, you know, they were afraid because they know what they do is wrong, you know, and it's not them that personally crucified Jesus.
A lot of them voted, you remember Barabbas?
They could have voted Barabbas or Jesus to be put to death.
And they voted for Barabbas to be speared.
To be released.
So now they're like, they're repentant for what they've done.
And even the people that didn't have anything to do with it, they're just like, wow, we're seeing these signs and wonders right now through these men.
And through the power of the Holy Spirit.
And all that believed were together and had all things in common.
And sold their possessions and goods and parted them to all men as every man had need.
So they sold their possessions and goods and split it up with all men.
Everybody split it together to help each other.
And they continued daily with one accord in the temple.
With one accord means like just worship and everything else.
In the temple and breaking bread from house to house and deed eat their meat with gladness and singleness of heart.
Praise in God and have a favor with all the people and the Lord added to the church daily such a that should such be saved.
So they're added to the church daily such as you should be saved.
The people come in every day they were saving people.
That's amazing.
And all from this, all from the Holy Spirit appearing to them as cloven tongues of fire.
And the Holy Spirit filled them and they gave them the apostles and they were able to speak in tongues and all these languages heard them.
And now, mind you, all these multitudes of people are watching this.
They're witnessing this.
And again, there was a couple people, Marcus, you know, trying to downplay it.
You know, they're drunk.
And everybody's looking at it.
Are you kidding me?
How could drunk people...
And I can imagine people in the area, like, looking at them like, you guys are a bunch of fools.
How could drunk people speak in all those languages at once?
You always get people like that, even to this day.
They could see the sky open up and they'll still mock it.
Those are what the Bible calls fools.
You know what I mean?
And they, you know, today's version of scientists and all that, they try to dismiss everything of God as some kind of anomaly or scientific thing.
The Bible says those who profess to be wise are fools.
And we got these people today.
You know, it's...
So, it's amazing stuff, it really is.
And they were saving people daily.
3,000 souls, that's great.
After all this, right?
3,000 people were saved.
Multitudes.
