Shalom and welcome to the Dan Bedani Show or Truth Radio Show dot com.
And we are now in the Gospel of John chapter 7.
So if you missed chapters 1 through 6, it's in our playlist.
So please check them out.
So we're doing an in-depth comprehensive study of the book of John, chapter by chapter.
And so before we begin, like always, we do this biblical study approach.
Number one, to pray for wisdom and understanding.
So let's do that right away, right now.
Yeshua, Jesus, we come to you and we ask you to forgive us all individually of our individual sins and trespasses that we may have committed today.
And we ask you to make us pure before the Father.
Just renew us, Lord, and help us just not to sin, help us to refrain from sin, and just thank you so much for just We are helping us and just thank you so much for forgiving us for our sins.
And without you, Lord, salvation would not be possible.
We thank you so much.
And Father, we ask you once again to send the Holy Spirit upon us so we can absorb this information, the knowledge from your word that was made flesh.
And right here in the book of John, chapter 7, we ask you for the Holy Spirit to write the word of your word upon our hearts and give us divine Interpretation, divine wisdom from your scriptures.
And we ask you to pray, we pray for everybody here that's going through any kind of a physical, spiritual, or any kind of ailment at all.
We ask you to heal them and comfort them as well.
In your mighty name, Amen.
So what we do guys is with number two, we read the scripture in its context, because context is key.
Very important.
And let the scripture interpret the scripture.
In other words, let the Holy Spirit lead you.
Because you can't go wrong with the Holy Spirit.
So John chapter 7, if you've got a Bible, guys, please open it up.
And so we left off in John chapter 6, obviously.
That was Jesus, when he turned the bread to basically be able to feed 5,000 people.
Five loaves of bread, I think it was.
And three fish, whatever the case is.
So they fed 5,000 people.
And as you go through here, that Jesus doing his thing, performing miracles and everything else.
And he also said there's going to be somebody that's going to betray me.
And that's talking about Judas.
So, So his time is coming at this point in time he knows his time is coming that to be crucified right so and also when he broke bread the last supper they call right the the communion and you know talked about his flesh being the bread of life and his blood being To drink!
So and whoever eats my flesh and drinks my blood has eternal life and I will raise him up on the last day!
So, we leave off at chapter 6 here, when Jesus recognizes that, hey, you know, one of my apostles, that's Judas, is going to betray me.
But he didn't announce it yet.
So, John chapter 7, here we go.
And so, after these things, Jesus walked in Galilee, for he would not walk in Judea without the Jews sought to kill him.
Because right now, at this point, the Jews are ready to kill this guy.
I'm sorry.
They're ready to kill him.
For him being, you know, proclaiming to be the Son of God, the Messiah, and to them that's blasphemy.
But every time they go to accuse Jesus, Jesus hands it right back to them and, like, makes them look foolish in front of the magnitude of people that are around.
So now, the Jews' Feast of Tabernacles was at hand.
And yes, it's the biblical holiday.
Something that Jesus himself took part of.
That we should be doing.
Anybody who claims to be a follower of Jesus should be taking part of the Feast of Tabernacles.
So his brethren before... Now there before I said unto him, depart hence and go into Judea, that thy disciples also may see the works that has done.
For there is no man that does anything in secret, and he himself seeketh to be known openly, and if no has the things, show they self to the world.
So another way of saying, hey, listen, if you do things in secret, it's got to be shown.
If you show yourself to the world, right?
So, for neither did his brethren believe in him.
So then Jesus said to them, my time has not yet come, but your time is already What does that mean?
So my time has not yet come, but your time is already.
In other words, the kingdom of heaven is at hand.
So yeah.
So the world cannot hate you, but me it hates, because I testify of it, that the works thereof are evil.
So go ye up into the feast, this feast here, and I go not up into the feast, for my time is not yet fulfilled to come.
So he sent his apostles to the feast.
And when he had said these words unto them, he abode still in Galilee.
In other words, he still hung around in Galilee.
And but when his brethren were gone up to the feast there, then went also up to the feast, not openly, but as it was in secret.
So then the Jews saw him at the feast, and he said, where is he?
So the Jews looked at him at the feast, where's Jesus?
Why isn't he here?
So this is Jesus saying that he went up there in secret.
So he sent the apostles up there, brethren, right?
And he went up there in secret.
Like, up to the feast, not openly, but as it were, in secret, right?
So, basically, he just went up there, probably had a cloak on or something.
And, you know, the Jews seeing the apostles were like, where's Jesus at, right?
So, and there was much murmuring among the people concerning him.
For some said, he is a good man, others said, nay, but he deceived the people.
So, the whole talk of the crowd here at the feast was about Jesus.
That's what murmuring is, talking about somebody.
So, when Jesus was at the top, essentially at the top of the game, people would say, where is he?
Other people called him a deceiver.
Some saying he's a good man and everything else.
But how about no man spoke openly for him in fear of the Jews?
So, nobody spoke openly.
Because the Jews are like, where is he?
He's supposed to be here, right?
But nobody spoke for Jesus.
In other words, saying, hey, you know, he has a valid reason not to be here.
Nobody had the guts to speak up because they feared the Jews.
That's referring to the priests and the elders and the scribes and all that, the top leaders of the Jewish people.
They feared them, so nobody had the guts to stand up for Jesus.
Now about in the midst of the feast, Jesus went up into the temple and taught.
And the Jews marveled, saying, how knowest this man's letters have never learned?
So, as this is all going on, they don't think Jesus is there, he just went right to the feast, went right into the temple, started teaching.
So, people just bedazzled by him, like, wow!
You know, again, the Jews marveled, saying, how knows this man's letters, having never learned?
And Jesus answered them, said, my doctrine is not mine, but it is his that sent me, referring to the Father.
If any man will do his will, talk about the Father, he shall know the doctrine, whether it be of God or whether I speak myself.
So he that speaketh of himself seeketh his own glory, but he that seeketh his glory that hath sent him The same is true, and no unrighteousness is in him.
So Jesus is explaining, I'm not here for my glory.
I'm not here to give you my individual glory.
I'm here speaking on behalf of the Father, that's it.
For the Father's glory.
For Heavenly Creator, Father Abba.
So he says, did not Moses give you the law?
And yet none of you kept the law?
Why go ye about and kill me?
So why you gonna kill me for?
Moses gave me the laws and yet, none of them kept it.
You don't keep the law, like you're supposed to.
But you wanna kill me?
Then the people answered and said, Thou hast a devil, which go about to kill thee.
So accusing Jesus of having a devil in him, like possessed or whatever.
And Jesus answered and said to them, I have done one work, and ye all marvel, So you're all marveled because I've done one thing.
And Moses therefore gave you to circumcision.
Not because it is of Moses, but of the fathers.
You see, Moses told you, you have to be circumcised, right?
Circumcision is a rule.
It's not Moses' law.
It's God's law.
Moses referred it from God.
And yet you, on a Sabbath day, circumcise a man?
And if a man on a Sabbath day received circumcision, That the law of Moses should not be broken.
Are you angry at me because I have made man every whit hole on a sabbath day?
So this stuff was done on a sabbath day, right?
But you're mad at me because I'm helping people on a sabbath day.
Somebody, you know, made people whole, in other words, like if they're possessed, if they're sick, they just need cleansing in general.
Because Jesus done this on a sabbath and they're mad at him for that.
But they went mad that Moses did circumcision on the Sabbath.
And he says, Judge not according to the appearance, but judge righteous judgment.
Wow, this is, um... I'm like, uh, got goosebumps right now, because I can't tell you... Wow, when I just read this, because this is... This has pertained to a lot here, because of what I've been experiencing lately.
So in these chat room forums and everything else, people are like, oh, you know, mocking you.
Doesn't your God say not to judge?
Doesn't the Bible say not to judge?
Because you're trying to warn people?
You're not judging, you're just warning them of these certain things.
Oh, don't judge.
The Bible says not to judge.
No, the Bible says no such thing.
If you're unrighteous, you can't judge.
If you're doing the same sin, you can't tell somebody not to do it, right?
If you're a thief, right?
How do you have the authority to tell your son or anybody not to steal?
When you're doing it on your own, like the scripture says, if you got a piece of sawdust in your eye, don't attempt to remove, I'm sorry, don't attempt to remove a piece of sawdust out of your brother's eye when you got a plank in yours.
It says don't judge, absolutely, but judge righteously, right?
It's amazing how this piece popped up too.
So, judge not according to the appearance, but judge a righteous judgment.
That goes a long way because, um, we hear this all the time too, you know?
Don't judge because, you know, people mock you.
Oh, yeah, you're not supposed to judge.
What kind of Christian are you?
Well, first of all, I'm a follower of Jesus Christ.
And second of all, we're supposed to judge righteously.
So I'm not supposed to warn you?
So if you're standing on the train track, like talking to me, and there's a train coming.
Oh, I'm not going to tell you.
Boom, the guy gets killed.
Oh, you told me not to judge, right?
Even though I wasn't judging, I was just warning you, there's a train coming, you better get off the tracks.
Oh, don't judge me.
Bam.
Hey, all right.
I didn't judge you, but yeah, whatever.
So I'm not supposed to warn you?
Or if there's a kid in the street?
Hey, kid, get out of the street before you get hit by a car.
Oh no, don't judge him!
Don't judge him.
You know, that's the same thing.
You know what I mean?
It's the same thing.
So if somebody's doing evil stuff, you're not gonna walk up to them and say, you're gonna go to hell for that.
No.
Walk up to them and say, listen brother, or sister, look.
I'm not your judge, but here's the thing.
You're doing something wrong.
Okay?
You gotta get yourself in spiritual hot water.
Just warning him.
That's all I'm doing.
What you're doing is evil.
In other words, if you got a neighbor that's practicing witchcraft, right?
You know him pretty well.
Go warn him about it.
Say, listen, I'm not judging or whatever, but yeah, this witchcraft is evil.
He is white evil.
What you do from here, that's what the Bible says.
What you do from here, that's your thing.
But people say, oh, it's judging.
No, it's not judging.
You're warning somebody of evil.
And if you read about that, um...
Ezekiel about the watchman.
It's our job to blow the trumpet when we see danger and if you don't blow the trumpet Their death is gonna be on your hands The spiritual death, you know and then some of them in Jerusalem Is not he who seek to kill But lo, he's speaking boldly when he says nothing unto him.
Do the rules know indeed that this is the very Christ?
So they're asking, don't the rules know that this is the Messiah?
And how about we know this man whence he is, but when Christ comes, no man knows whence he is?
So in other words, we knew prophecies and everything told them everything about the coming of Jesus.
So he's here now, now they don't believe it.
You know, it's crazy.
Who's him?
crazy.
Then cried Jesus in the temple as he taught, saying, ye both know me, and ye know whence I am, and I am not come of myself, but he that sent me is true, whom you know not.
But I know him, for I am from him, and he that sent me.
Who's him?
That's the Father.
God himself has sent me.
I come not of myself, but of the Father who sent me.
That's why I'm just trying to pound into these people's heads.
Listen, I'm not here for me, for my glorification.
I'm here to glorify the Father.
What part of this you don't understand?
And for some reason the Jewish leaders didn't want to hear any of this.
They just kept saying, oh he's committing blasphemy.
He's like, what did Jesus have to do, knock their heads loose or something?
But he's like, no, I'm not here crying out loud.
You know, I'm not here for my glory.
I'm here to glorify the Father.
Then they sought to take him, but no man laid hands on him because his hour was not yet come.
So all through the state tried to take Jesus, but they feared the multitudes of people because thousands and thousands of people were adorned to Jesus.
So the Jewish leaders were afraid to take them in a crowd like that because in fear that the people would backlash against them and overthrow them.
And many of the people believed on him and said, when Christ comes, Will he do more miracles than these which man has done?
So the people believed on him, right?
And then, same when Christ comes, will he do more miracles than which he's doing?
He is Christ!
And the Pharisees heard the people murmur such things concerning him, and the Pharisees and the chief priests sent officers to take him.
And Jesus said unto them, right?
Ye are a little while I am with you, and then I go unto him that sent me.
So I'm going to be here for only a little while, and I'm going to go back to the one that sent me.
The Father, right?
You shall seek me and shall not find me.
And where I am, therefore ye cannot come.
That's called the reign of God.
And then said the Jews among themselves, where will he go?
That we shall not find him.
Where will he go?
That we can't find him, they're saying, right?
Will he go into the disperse among the Gentiles and teach the Gentiles?
What manner of saying is this that he said?
He shall seek me and shall not find me?
Or where I am?
That I cannot come?
So they can't understand what he's saying.
What is he talking about?
Going where?
Where can he go that we can't go?
To the Father!
The right hand of... That's what Jesus says, at the right hand of the Father.
That's what he's talking about, and they can't comprehend what Jesus is saying.
So on the last day, the great day of the feast, Jesus stood up and cried, saying, If any man thirsts, let him come unto me and drink.
And he that believes on me, as the scripture said, out of his belly show flow rivers of living water.
So the whole thing is like, the scriptures that these Jewish leaders, so-called, are experts in, right?
They prophesied about the coming of the Messiah.
They knew details.
Vivid details about the coming of the Messiah, right?
Now the Messiah is here and they cannot comprehend the temple.
They're trying to falsely accuse him of things.
And it's like, what is he going to tell these people?
How much more is he going to tell these people, I am the Messiah!
Your scriptures that you, your so-called preach, told you of these things to come.
The prophets.
But this spake of He, the Spirit, which they believe on Him should receive.
For the Holy Ghost was not yet given, because that Jesus was not yet glorified.
And many of the people, therefore, when they heard of saying this, saying that, I'm sorry, said of a truth that is a prophet.
So again, some people thought he was a prophet.
You know, some people thought he was the resurrection of Elias.
You know, all kinds of things.
But a lot of people just refuse to acknowledge that he is the actual Messiah that's been prophesied about.
Another said, this is the Christ.
This is Him.
This is the Messiah we've been talking about for years.
This is the Messiah that's been engraved in that scriptures for thousands of years.
What are you guys talking about?
He's here right now.
That's Him right there.
But some said, shall Christ come out of the Galilee?
You know, so you got a bunch of people, all kinds of ideas.
Oh, he's not here yet.
It's a good, Jesus is a prophet, but I don't think he's, it's him.
Some people, you know, just didn't believe at all.
And some people believe, and then you got people saying, yeah, he is the Christ.
So it caused a bunch of conjecture within the crowd.
And hath not the scripture said that the Christ comes of the seed of David and out of the town of Bethlehem where David was?
Jesus is the seed of David.
They all knew that.
And he was born out of the town of Bethlehem.
Where David was.
The scriptures told them that long before Jesus came on the earth.
And still there was division among the people because of him.
And some of them would have taken him, but no man laid hands on him.
Then came the officers to the chief priests and Pharisees, and they said unto them, Why ye have not brought him?
And the officers answered, Never man spake like this man.
So the Pharisees and the chief priests asked the officers, Why didn't you bring this guy to me?
Us.
Why didn't you arrest him?
And the officer's like, well, wow.
I've never seen anybody speak like this man.
Never seen anybody that do the things that this man has done.
And they answered them to the Pharisees, you are so deceived.
So the Pharisees accusing the officers of being deceived.
And have any of the rulers of the Pharisees believed on him?
But the people who kneweth not the law are cursed.
And Nicodemus said unto them, Ye that came to Jesus by night, being one of them, does our Lord judge any man before I hear him, and know what he's done?
So, in other words, like, if you're accused of something, right, you have a right to speak before you judge the man to whatever conviction, right?
He has to have a right to speak to defend himself, right?
So they answered him and said unto him, Art thou also of Galilee?
Search and look, look out for the ariseth of no prophet, right?
And every man went into his own house.
So they attempted to arrest Jesus.
And the officers didn't do it.
They didn't follow orders.
They were like, no.
This guy, and I really believe that a lot of the officers really believed he was the Messiah.
Because they're like, they were astonished, like, wow, never has any man spoke like this.
And the Pharisees accused them of being deceived.
Are you guys deceived?
Because the thing is, the Pharisees and the chief priests, they wanted Jesus dead.
As you can have a quote on already.
They're doing everything but anything to get rid of Jesus.
Because every time they speak out against Jesus, what does Jesus do?
In front of the crowds?
Jesus puts them in their place.
Jesus really just like destroys them verbally.
Makes them look like fools.
And all the stuff that Jesus has done, you know, being the seed of David coming from Galilee and all this other, I'm sorry, Bethlehem.
Fulfilling the prophecies from Elias, Moses, and all, so on, right?
Fulfilling the scriptures, and yet the chief priests and Pharisees still refuse to believe.
That's why Jesus cried out, in other words, yelled.
Like, what do I have to do to prove to you guys?
What do I have to do?
But the thing is, these chief priests and Pharisees, they're a bunch of hypocrites.
That's the problem.
Because they walk around like all King Almighty, right?
So Jesus came around and took that away from them.
That's why.
They really think that they wanted Jesus dead more because they were jealous of him.
Because they wanted to be the muddiest people in the land and all this stuff and be praised and all that stuff.
Everybody had to listen to them and nobody else, right?
Sounds familiar, like modern day religious leaders.
Preach a bunch of blasphemy and puke.
And dare to mix some little scripture in it to make it look legit.
Yeah, that's what the chief priests and the Pharisees were doing.
So Jesus put them in their place and points out the hypocrisy.
They didn't like that, so they wanted him arrested.
So after all this, everybody just went into the house.
And Jesus wasn't arrested, because we know how he gets arrested later.
Bye.
By the betrayal of Judas.
And the thing is too, with Matthew and Mark point out too, in their account, the Jews, they were afraid to arrest Jesus, the priests and Pharisees, because of the multitude of people.
They knew if their officers were to arrest him, even though they tried, they were risking of the people overthrowing, they would have caused a big riot.
And like a revolution if you want to put it that way.
They would have overtaken the soldiers, you know, the officers, which is the troops, right?
Or the officers of the Jews, I'm sorry.
Which is like the guards or whatever, you know.
They would overtook them in the chief priests and pharisees.
So they were afraid to do this.
So they had to come up with some plot to convict Jesus without a reasonable doubt to make him look guilty to do this.
Because if there's no people around and Jesus didn't win a lot of people's admiration, they would have just went up to him and killed him.
That's what they would have tried to do.
