- If you're receiving this transmission, you are the resistance.
Declaring war on the New World Order.
truth radio show dot com shalom and welcome to the damp and on the show truth radio show dot com So we're in this comprehensive study of the Bible in John chapter 5 today.
So if you missed John 1 through 4, it's in our playlist.
And also we've got the books of Matthew, Mark, and Luke as well.
So chapter by chapter.
And we do this in-depth, comprehensive study of each chapter, verse by verse.
And what we do, guys, is we have a specific Bible study approach.
We pray for wisdom and understanding before we even do anything.
So let's do that right now.
So, Jesus, Yeshua Messiah, we come to you and please forgive us all of our individual trespasses and sins that we may have committed.
We ask you to make us whole and pure and holy before the Father.
And Father, we ask you to endorse the Holy Spirit upon us, to help us learn and for him to teach everything to us that is in your scripture.
Reveal all the mysteries, all the wonderful messages and the context that you want to reveal to us today in John chapter 5.
And we ask you to heal anybody out there that's going through any kind of pain, ailment, Spiritually, physically, whatever the case, we ask you to comfort them, Lord.
And we ask you in your mighty name, and we love you so much, and thank you, Yeshua, for going to Calvary for us, and dying for us, and, you know, just shedding your blood for sins that we don't deserve to be forgiven for.
We thank you so much.
We love you with all our hearts and souls.
Amen.
So that being said, guys, we read the Scripture in context.
Very important.
We have to emphasize that constantly.
That's why every one of these videos, you're going to see this.
This needs to be emphasized.
I pray for wisdom and understanding.
We read the Scripture in context, because context is key.
And let the Scripture interpret the Scripture, along with the Holy Spirit.
So let's begin with the awesome show he had going here.
So John chapter 5, if you've got a Bible guys, please by all means turn, open the book, I'm sorry, to John chapter 5.
So before we get to 5, I just want to leave off where we left off in chapter 4, because this continues from chapter 4, and where this rich man Ran to Jesus and asked him, hey, my son's dying.
I need your help.
Could you come to my house?
And Jesus said, I don't even have to.
Just go home.
He's living.
You know, so Jesus healed him, not even being there.
So we're at verse 51 here.
He said, as we now know, go down, I'm sorry.
His servants met him and told him, saying that your son lives.
So even before the guide got home, the servants met him halfway and said, hey listen, your son's alive.
And then inquired him.
I'm sorry, he met him there.
The servants met him there, even before he was about to leave.
They said, hey, your son lives.
And then they inquired him of the hour when she began to mend.
And they said to him, yesterday at the seventh hour, the fever left him.
So they came to him and said, listen, it's like your son's healed.
And he's asking him, when did this happen?
And they say, yesterday at the seventh hour.
And that was exactly yesterday at the seventh hour is when he talked to Jesus.
And Jesus told him, yeah, your son's gonna live.
So the father knew it was the same hour in which Jesus said unto him, thy son lives and himself believed and his whole house.
So you got scoffers like, oh, if Jesus wasn't there, how would they know?
That he said that.
Well, the thing is, he made a big, he pressed, you know, they call it press.
They made a big issue about this.
Like, you know, proclaim it.
Jesus healed it.
And my servants came to me and he just gave his testimony.
And obviously John was there to take that testimony.
Being all excited that his servants came to him.
Because remember, the servants came to him.
He didn't go home yet.
So this rich man was there for a while.
In Judea.
In Galilee, I'm sorry.
And so, and this again is the second miracle that Jesus did, and he was come out of Judea into Galilee.
So I want to point out to you guys that I made a little error.
I think it was chapter 1, 2, or 3, I believe it was.
You know, I don't know why I said this book was written by John the Baptist.
It's John the Apostle.
There's two different Johns there.
It's John the Baptist and the Apostle John.
And the Apostle John ended up being decapitated.
In prison, this is the apostle John so I just want to make that clear and I apologize about the mistake I don't know why I said that fall.
But anyway, and I wonder view is pointed out.
Thank you so much I forgot your name, but thank you so much for doing that because I don't want to get anything wrong here.
So So now John chapter 5, right?
and after this there was a feast of the Jews and Jesus went up to Jerusalem and now they're is at Jerusalem, by the sheep's market, a pool, which is called in Hebrew tongue, Bethsaida, having five porges.
So in these lay a great multitude of important folks, of blind, well withered, waiting for the moving of the water.
So in this pool here, I guess, where all the people that had whatever ailments, they went there to hopefully get healed, whatever the case, right?
And multitude, again, we covered what a multitude is, is about 5,000 people.
Four or 5,000 people.
So you got thousands of people there trying to get healed and whatever the case, right?
For an angel went down at a certain season into the pool and troubled the water.
And whoever was then the first after the troubling of the water stepped in was made whole of whatsoever disease he had.
So an angel of the Lord, they went into this pool, you know, they troubled the water, which I guess like it made it all, you know, wavy, whatever the case.
And whoever was in the water, that had a disease or something, was healed.
And a certain man was there, which had an infirmity thirty and eight years.
So, this guy had a thirty-eight years, he had this infirmity.
Whatever this infirmity is, right?
So, when Jesus saw him, why?
So this guy's waiting in this pool for a while.
Waiting for this angel to come to do this, right?
So Jesus seen him laying in the water, right?
And then an impotent man answered to him saying, Sure, I have no man when the water is troubled to put me into the pool.
Well, I'm sorry he was laying by the pool.
Let me correct myself, right?
He's laying by the pool and he says, I have no man, nobody to help me to put me in the pool.
But while I am coming, another stepped down before me.
So this guy's trying to get in this pool, right?
And he's, obviously he's not, probably handicapped by the case, right?
He's trying to get in the pool, right?
So he's saying that every time I go near the pool, somebody jumps in front of him to jump in the pool, whatever the case, right?
So he says, nobody, no man helped me to get in the pool.
And Jesus said to him, rise and take up your bed and walk.
And immediately, immediately, I'm sorry, the man was made whole.
And he took up his bed and walked.
And on the same day was the Sabbath.
And there's a reason why they're pointing this out to John here.
Why this, you know, it was on the Sabbath, right?
So, again, narrating what's going on here.
There's a certain man, I guess he had this major infirmity for 38 years.
He's trying to get into this pool, waiting for the angel to come down to trouble the waters, and whoever was in the water was healed.
Couldn't get in the pool, because every time he tried to get in the pool, somebody jumped in front of him to jump in the pool.
And he said, nobody's here to help me.
And Jesus says, basically, don't worry about it, you don't even have to go in the pool.
He goes, get up!
Rise up!
Take up your bed and walk.
And the bed is like, basically they had these mats back then.
It was like kind of, um, I would not say a yoga mat or something.
It was made of like bamboo type stuff.
That they would roll out and lay on.
To comfort themselves from the ground.
So this guy was laying right by the water there, waiting for this water to get troubled, but every time he went to get in the water, somebody jumped in front of him anyway, and he had no help to get in the water.
So, and Jesus told him, he's like, get up!
You're healed!
Get up!
And walk!
And this is done on the Sabbath, right?
And this is why they mention that, because the Jews therefore said unto him that was cured, Is it the Sabbath day?
Is it not lawful to do thee to carry thy bed?
So now the Jews are right there, you know, they talk about the scribes and the Pharisees, the priests and all the elders, whatever the case, right?
They're there every time, every time Jesus does something, they try to not make light of it.
In other words, they try to condemn him for this, right?
To say, oh yeah, this is all, you know, you're violating the Sabbath laws and, you know, telling this guy you're violating, it's not lawful to carry your bed.
So Jesus answered them, He that made me whole... I'm sorry, the guy, I'm sorry.
I gotta stop jumping ahead of myself.
So the certain man that was just healed, right?
He answered them.
He said, He that made me whole, the same unto me, take up thy bed and walk.
So he's saying the guy who made me whole told me to get up and walk, take my bed and walk.
So he defended himself against the Jews, right?
Then he asked him, So, yeah, what he's saying here is the guy who was healed, and the Jews are like, who did this?
Who told you to do this?
So, yeah, what he's saying here is the guy who was healed, and the Jews are like, who did this?
Who told you to do this?
And he's like, yeah, not telling you.
So he didn't want to rat out Jesus, that's what I'm saying, you know?
So, verse 14, So this guy that Jesus healed, you got 38 years, this guy had this ailment, whatever it was, right?
whole.
Sin no more.
Least a worse thing come unto thee.
So this guy that Jesus healed, you got 38 years this guy had this ailment, whatever it was, right?
Healed him.
And he said, listen, it's like, I healed you.
But the thing is, you need to repent.
That means That's the definition of repent, right guys?
So, if you ever want to know the definition of repent, it's right there.
Say no more.
Turn away from sin.
That's the definition of repent, right?
So he says, right away, repent.
There's a lot of churches that leave that out.
Say no more means repent.
When you say worst thing, come on to me.
So yeah, if you want to stay whole, don't say no more, repent for your sins, right?
And you'll be fine.
But if you start going back to your old sinful ways, guess what?
It's gonna get worse than what you already had.
So the man departed and told the Jews that it was Jesus.
Which had made him whole.
So now we're for whatever reason... Now first when the Jews asked him who it was, he's like, no, I'm not telling you.
So Jesus found him in the temple, told him, listen, you gotta stay clean.
Alright, it's gonna be worse.
So, this guy might have took offense to that because he probably wanted to go back to his sinful ways.
This is what I'm assuming here.
That's why he went and left the temple and went to the Jews and told them it was Jesus that did this.
That's what I'm assuming.
So, then, I'm not, you know, adding nothing to the scriptures, guys.
I'm just, uh, this is what it sounds like to me.
It could or couldn't be the case, whatever the case, but Why would he leave the temple just to go tell the Jews that Jesus did this?
After he already refused to tell the Jews he did it.
So I think he got a little offended or something.
If you read this in the context here.
Sounds like he got a little offended.
I'm not, you know.
Maybe he didn't or didn't.
I don't know.
But that's what it sounds like to me.
But regardless, he ended up going to the Jews anyway.
Later on, say after he left the temple.
And told them it was Jesus that made them all.
And therefore, did the Jews persecute Jesus?
And sought to slay him, because he had done these things on the Sabbath day.
But Jesus answered them.
He goes, My father worketh, heareth too, and I work.
Therefore the Jews sought the Moor to kill him, because he not had only broken the Sabbath, but he said, because he's not supposed to work on the Sabbath, right?
But said also that God was his father, making himself equal to God.
So now, this is two counts right here.
They're like, alright, number one, you violated the Sabbath law.
Number two, you're committing blasphemy to say you're equal to God.
Which, yes, he is equal to God, and Jesus is the Lord of the Sabbath, so he can do what he wants.
But this is cool, right?
Jesus answers right back to them, and said unto them, Verily, verily, I say unto you, The Son can do nothing of himself, but what he sees the Father do for the things So whatever he does, these also do the same likewise.
So whatever the Father does, I do.
And yes, Jesus is not a blasphemy, because He is the Son of God.
He's the Messiah.
And the Jews, even to this day, they don't like that.
I'm not bashing anybody, whatever the case, because I know there's this whole thing going on in the anti-Semitism, whatever.
I'm not going down there.
I'm just saying, even to this day, they deny him as a savior.
So, and he says, For the father loves the son and shows him So he's saying,
the father's raised up the dead, he's helped people, right?
And I'm going to do the same thing.
He says, for the father judged no man, but hath committed all judgment unto the son.
In other words, yeah, He, Jesus is the judge.
"...and all sins are forgiven upon Him." "...that all men should honor the Son, even as they honor the Father.
He that honors not the Son honors not the Father, which has sent Me." So he's telling him, he's like, hey, yeah, you honor the father, absolutely, right?
But you don't honor me.
Therefore, you're not honoring the father.
If you want to honor the father, you've got to honor the son.
If you want to honor the son, you've got to honor the father.
And really, really, I say it to you, when really, really, that's like a term like, it's like a serious, Well, a statement that you gotta make, right?
And I say it to you.
He that hears my word and believes on him that sent me.
In other words, believes on the Father that sent me, right?
If you hear my word and believe the Father that sent me, right?
Has everlasting life and shall not come into the condemnation but is passed from death unto life.
So, I have to emphasize this for new listeners or whatever.
It's like, well, does it mean you live forever?
No, not in the flesh.
He's not saying that.
The life he's talking about, Everlasting Life, it's a second life.
That's not spirit.
Because most likely you're always going to face death, unless we're here to be the lucky very few to be here when he returns.
But regardless, yeah.
Everybody dies, and then you go to the second death of a second life.
So again, he has my word, and it believes on him that sent me, So if you believe in the Father, right?
That sent me, he's saying, right?
And you shall have everlasting life and you shall not come into condemnation, but is passed from death unto life.
So when you go to death, right?
You go right to life again in the spirit.
And he goes again, seriously, really, really I say unto you, being serious, the hour is coming and now is, and when the dead shall hear the voice of the son of God, And they shall, that hear, shall live.
So, take this into, um, let's slow down for a second, right?
This is some very powerful spiritual warfare going on.
What does he mean by this?
Obviously he's the son he's talking about.
He's talking about himself, right?
But right here, when the dead shall hear the voice of the Son of God, and that shall hear, they live, right?
So he goes, the hour is coming.
And now is.
What is he talking about?
He's talking about his crucifixion.
He knows he's gonna be put to death.
That's his purpose of being there.
And when he's in the grave for three days and three nights, like he said, right?
He goes into the land of the dead, which is hell.
They're gonna hear his voice.
And they that hear shall live.
The people who didn't make the cut before him.
Cause back then it was like, you had to sacrifice things and you know, for atonement of sin and all this other stuff, right?
So that, you know, pay attention to that because that, you know, plays when to when he actually goes into the ground.
With a spear, I should say.
He goes into a tomb, whatever the case.
But anyway, for as the father has life in him, so has he given to the son has had his life for himself.
So he's talking like in the third person sort of thing, because if he's saying in the first person type, you know, like me, me, me, they're going to use that to condemn him.
But talking to the third person, it's like, you're not saying you are, but you're not saying you're not either.
Because right now he needs a certain amount of time, because they're spreading the ministry around, and the time is near, like he said.
But, you know, if he would have said, right, I'm the son of God right now, they would have right away arrested him.
So this is Jesus just really schooling the heck out of the Jews.
And the thing is that all this was prophesied.
Everything he said.
All the prophets that came before them, right?
Elias, Moses, and all that said this stuff about the Messiah, the Son of God.
And they knew this stuff because it's in the Scripture.
The Torah and whatnot, right?
But he's talking to himself about a third party.
This way, you know what I mean, he avoids condemnation at this point, right?
And he said that he has given him authority to execute judgment also.
Because he is the son of man.
So yeah, because they're talking about judgment, right?
And he goes, I have, indirectly saying that, I have the authority to execute judgment.
Because he's the son of man.
Son of God and Son of Man is the same thing.
You hear those terms a lot.
Son of Man, Son of God, right?
The Messiah.
And he says, marvel not at this.
You know, don't be amazed by this.
For the hour is coming in which all that are in the graves shall hear his voice.
See, when I talk about the graves, And I want to point that out too, because the modern day churches, they believe when you die, you just sleep.
You don't go anywhere, you just sleep into the resurrection, or whatever the case, right?
No.
And the grave is literally... The grave means in the earth.
That's what that means, right?
It's in Sheol.
As we learned about Lazarus and the rich manor.
So your soul goes to heaven... I'm sorry, to paradise, or hell.
Until the resurrection, the people from paradise get resurrected.
The people from hell go to judgment.
Then after judgment they go into the lake of fire.
So another site points out in the grave, shall hear his voice.
So if they were sleeping, how would they hear his voice?
Because they're in a grave.
They're in Abraham's bosom they call it.
And also the people at the time in hell that didn't quite make the cut.
He wanted to, that's why he had the keys to Hades.
It's a hell of a thing, right?
That anybody would believe in him, there were pretty much fair days in people that would believe in him.
He spared them from hell.
Then he goes on to say, and show come forth that they have done good.
And on to the resurrection of life.
And they that have done evil unto the resurrection of damnation.
So you see the keywords resurrection here?
Resurrection.
They are in, again, in the earth.
The grave, right?
In the earth.
That's what grave means.
You bury somebody, you're in the earth.
Doesn't matter if it's 6 feet, 12 feet down, or a foot down.
You're in the earth, right?
Your body.
But your soul is in shoal.
Until the resurrection and the judgment.
So it's very important to understand what these things mean.
You know, the spiritual warfare aspect of this.
He says, I can of my own self do nothing.
As I hear, I judge.
And my judgment is just, because I seek not my own will, but the will of the Father, which has sent me.
So now he's saying, yeah, the Father did send me.
Now he's saying, yeah, I am the Messiah.
After all, he was talking about himself in the third party.
Now he's saying, yeah, yeah, that's me.
He says, if I bear witness of myself, my witness is not true.
There are another that bears witness of me, and I know that the witness which he witnesses of me is true.
And you sent unto John, and he bear witness unto the truth.
So he's talking about John, right?
The Baptist?
This is John right now that's, you know, writing this book here.
John the Apostle.
Now he's talking about John the Baptist here.
He bore witness before I came around.
He bore witness of me.
Even though John never really considered himself a prophet, but he was a prophet.
John the Baptist.
He was the last one, and there's nobody after that.
Jesus the Messiah came, and there's no prophets or anything like that.
Yeah, we have dreams and visions of prophecy and all that.
Stuff like that, the Bible says that, but there are no official prophets after this.
There are no more messiahs than Jesus, the only Messiah.
So, you know, because Islam, they claim that Mohammed was, you know, the coming of another prophet that Jesus foretold about.
No, no, he never said no such thing.
He was talking about the Holy Spirit.
Also, the Mormon Church does that with Joseph Smith.
No, Jesus never talked about any of them.
They were the last.
John the Baptist and Jesus.
That's it.
And he goes, but I have received not testimony from man, but these things I say, ye might be saved.
And he was burning and shining light, and ye were willing for a season to rejoice in his light.
Jesus is the light.
The light, the truth.
But I have greater witness than that of John.
For the works which the Father has given me to finish, the same works that I do, bear witness of me that the Father has sent me.
So he's saying the witness greater than John is the Father.
And the Father himself, which has sent me, has borne witness of me, and ye have neither heard his voice at any time, nor seen his shape.
So he's saying, you guys never heard my father's voice, nor even seen what he even looks like, the shape of him.
And you have not his word abiding in you?
For whom he has sent, him believe not?
So he's saying, because like all the prophets before, prophesied about the coming of Jesus.
Gave all the details, right?
The time just about and everything else, and they still refuse to believe that that's him.
And he goes to search the scriptures.
For it is written, search him.
For in them you might think you have eternal life, and they which testify of me.
So search the scriptures and you're going to find out everything that the prophets told you in the scriptures.
That's me!
I'm fulfilled of that.
I'm the one fulfilling it.
The Father has sent me.
And you will not come to me that ye might have life.
I receive not honor from men, but I know you, that you have not love of God in you.
So he's telling them right now, yeah, you guys don't have love of God in you.
Because you know the expression of these top Jewish people.
You know the scripture, right?
You were told the scripture several times and, you know, it's embedded in the scriptures.
By all the prophets came, exact details, everything about the coming of the Messiah, right?
You already know this, and you're sitting here denying me?
He goes, I am come in my father's name, and ye receive me not.
I come in my father's name, and you're not receiving me.
And if another shall come in his own name, you will receive him.
If you get that, what he's saying, right?
I come in my father's name, and you don't receive me.
But if some other person came around and said, hey, he comes in his own name, you're going to believe him.
He's trying to say, listen, you guys believe anybody that comes along to say, I come in my name, me, me, me, me, right?
But I'm telling you, I don't come in my name, I come in the Father's name, but you don't believe me.
He goes, how do you believe?
Which receive honor one over another, and seek not the honor that cometh from God only.
So how do you believe somebody that seeks his own honor, right?
Speaks of his own honor, but doesn't speak from the honor of God, that comes from God only.
How can you not believe?
Do not think that I will accuse you to the Father.
There is one that accuses you, even Moses, in whom ye trust.
For had ye believed Moses, right?
You would have believed me.
For he wrote of me.
That's what I was just saying.
So don't think I'm the one accusing you, saying, right?
To the Father.
But the one that accuses you, even Moses, is whom you trust, right?
For you believe Moses.
Moses was like the key character.
I shouldn't say character, historical figure.
Before Jesus.
That the Jews absolutely adored.
Because Moses led them out to the Promised Land, right?
Out of enslavement and all that stuff, right?
So, Moses prophesied in detailed scriptures in the Torah.
The comment of the Messiah.
Moses talked to Jesus.
The Spirit of Jesus talked to Moses.
Elias, Enoch, and all these great prophets.
Long before he was born in the flesh.
And again, I have to emphasize this a lot, guys.
Sorry if I sound redundant, yeah?
But, a lot of people think that Jesus just came into existence when he was born out of Mary.
No!
He was only incarnated, manifested in the flesh.
He was already there before the earth was even created.
He was the Lord of Spirits, as Enoch mentioned.
The good Enoch, by the way.
the seventh from Adam, who was Noah's great-grandfather.
He talked to Noah, he talked to Enoch, he talked to Elias, Jacob, all them, all the prophets, Moses.
But now at this point in time, in the scriptures here, Jesus is in the flesh walking the earth.
So he's saying, you believed Moses, but you don't believe me.
And he wrote of me, so how?
It makes no sense.
You guys believed Moses when he wrote, right?
But yeah, I'm standing here because he wrote of me and everything about me, right?
And yet you don't believe me.
But if you believe not his writings, right?
How shall you believe my words?
Because obviously you don't believe the... He's telling right out.
Obviously you don't believe the writings of Moses, right?
Even though they proclaim to do that, right?
With the commandments and everything else, which is great.
But the writings of Moses about my covenant and everything else, all the details.
How could you believe... I mean, you're not believing in Moses because I am the fulfillment of that.
So how would you even believe my words?
If you don't believe Moses, you're not going to believe me.
So now we say this continues on to chapter 6, which we're going to get to the next video.
So, um, again, we just want to give a layout of what's going on here and just try to get in full description.
You know, just give you a visualization of what's going on.
That's the point of these videos because, um, you can go to any website, whatever the case, they'll read the Bible for you.
10 times better than I could.
But that's not what we're here for.
They'll skim through this and what's this, um... 47 verses?
What's that gonna take you?
If somebody just read it out loud.
Two, three minutes, whatever the case?
That's not what we do here.
And if you're looking for that, people could do it ten times, a million times better than I could.
But, what we do here is try to give you a full visualization of what they're talking about.
Read the Bible in context.
Context is key.
And to help you understand each and every one of these segments here.
So, guys, if you've got any questions or comments or concerns or anything like that, put it in the regular comments section and I'll get back to you.
So, even if you want to criticize me, go for it.
I mean, I'm always able, I'll be willing to stand corrected.
There's been a couple of times, actually a lot of times in my talk show host years, that I've been corrected and I humbled myself, bit my tongue and you know what?
Yeah, humbled myself, ate a big piece of humble pie, and said, alright, I was wrong.
But this is what the scripture says, and I'm just, I'm not adding nothing, I'm not taking away from it, because you know what the book of Revelation says, to those who do that.
Yeah, that's why I was always afraid to teach the Bible, because I didn't want to be one of those false ministers.
And I'm not a minister by the way, I'm just a regular person like you.
that wants to teach the Word of God and use the Holy Spirit through me to help you understand and myself because I learn as I go as well.
To help us understand the Word of God instead of just reading through it.
And like I say all the time, you can't read the scriptures, I'm sorry, you can't learn the scriptures academically.
That means college, universities, churches, whatever the case, that just try to teach you to you like that and you You need to do it spiritually.
It's a spiritual application, not an academia thing.
A spiritual application to do this.
So guys, trust the plan, the only plan.
That's the Bible.
Don't take my word or anybody else's word for it.
Nobody's.
Read it for yourself.
And let the Holy Spirit work through you.
Like we just did today.
