TruthRadioShow.com And welcome everybody to the Dan Bedani Show at TruthRadioShow.com And we're on to Mark Chapter 10 This comprehensive, in-depth study of the Book of Mark So awesome stuff, man, and I'm like excited about this book.
It's like nine chapters, we've learned so much already.
And so let's pray before we get started in our Bible study approach.
Let's pray.
Jesus, Yeshua, Messiah, please forgive us of our individual personal sins.
And we ask you, Heavenly Father, To install the Holy Spirit upon us, to teach us your great wisdom and understanding in the full context and understanding of the book of Mark chapter 10 today.
And bless us all in your heavenly name, Amen.
So we read the scripture in its context, and context is key.
You know, unlike other ministries and whatever, we explain in detail what the scripture means.
You know, actually it's not from me, it's from the Holy Spirit, it's from, you know, Us reading the scripture, letting the scripture interpret itself, reading in its context, and the scripture interprets itself.
And if you can't understand that, the Holy Spirit will help you.
Plain and simple.
Good stuff, man.
So, we left off on chapter 9, and we're on to chapter 10 now.
So chapter 9, Jesus told them, I'm going to be crucified, basically told the apostles that.
And we learned too, that was amazing too, because chapter 9 debunked preacherism, it debunked So many religions, man.
It debunks pre-trism, debunked the Catholic Church, debunked Jehovah's Witnesses and all that, beliefs, whatever the case.
Well, that's why the New Testament is so powerful when you read it in its context.
That's why mainstream religions, organized religions, don't want you to read it in context.
This is why reading the Bible is important when you read it in its context.
Because you can't be duped by religious talk.
And that's why Jesus wanted you to follow him directly, not no religion.
We don't belong to a religion.
What follows is Jesus Christ and the Word of God, which is Jesus is the Word made flesh.
So anyway, as we go on here, in chapter 10, "...and he rose dense and came into the coast of Judea by the farther side of Jordan." So the further side of Jordan.
"...and the people resorted him into again, And as he went and he taught them again.
So, Jesus just like preaching to multitudes of people.
Thousands and thousands of people.
And the Pharisees, once again, you always see this.
The Pharisees, the scribes and all that.
They always come to try to ask Jesus intimidating questions.
I mean, questions that would get him in trouble.
Try to get him in trouble anyway.
Because they want to get him for blasphemy, you know?
So the Pharisees came to him and asked him, Is it lawful for a man to put away his wife, tempting him?
So they were tempting Jesus.
To try to get him to say something that goes against the law.
So, is it lawful for a man to put his wife, in other words, divorce his wife?
And Jesus answered to them, he said, what did Moses command you to do?
So he, the thing is, Jesus knows the Pharisees and the scribes and the elders, always trying to set him up for some question that would incriminate him.
So Jesus answers right back with his own question.
What did Moses say?
You're asking me?
What did Moses already tell you?
And they said Moses suffered to write a bill of divorce to put away.
So, yeah, Moses said, if you have to divorce, okay, God doesn't like to divorce, but if you have to, because of adultery or whatever, you're supposed to write a certificate, a bill, a certificate, whatever, of divorce to put her away.
In other words, divorce.
So, again, they're trying to tempt Jesus to an incriminating question, right?
The answer.
So they asked him, like, oh, is it lawful for man to divorce his wife?
Jesus said, oh, hold on, hold on.
What did Moses command you to do?
And they said, well, Moses said to write a certificate of divorcement to divorce her.
So, and Jesus answered and said to them, for the hardness of your heart, he wrote you this perceived.
it.
Because he said, you know, for the hardness of your hearts, you know, not them in general, just being kind, Moses allowed this to happen.
Right?
And from the beginning of creation, God made them male and female.
Hint to the rainbow groups out there.
You know, people confused about your gender.
Yeah, God only made men and females.
Planet Temple.
For this cause shall a man leave his father and his mother and cleave unto his wife.
Now again, if you didn't know the Old Testament, like I said in the prior video, a lot of churches and religions, oh, don't worry about the Old Testament.
No, you do worry about the Old Testament.
Because you can never fully understand or begin to understand the New Testament unless you knew the Old.
And you would never know what Jesus meant when he recited the Old Testament.
When he says, for it is written, you're not going to know what he talks about unless you know the Old Testament.
Very important.
And to me, it's just one scripture.
I mean, it's like, it's old and new.
It's just one plain and simple.
They go together.
So Jesus goes back to the beginning, right?
And again, they're trying to lure him into an incriminating answer, to get him to have an incriminating answer or whatever.
But Jesus said, from the beginning of creation, God made male and female, which he did, right?
This is in Genesis.
For this, this is a book that Moses wrote, right?
So he's reciting Moses.
He said, what did Moses tell you to do?
And they answer back and say, well, you know, this is what Moses did, right?
For divorce, you write a certificate, whatever.
And Jesus said, basically, yeah.
He only did this for the hardness of your hearts.
That he wrote this proceed.
But from the beginning of creation God made them male and female.
And for this cause shall man leave his wife and mother, and cleave unto his wife.
And the two shall be one flesh.
And they are no more twain, but one flesh.
So what does this mean?
How can two become one flesh?
In other words, when you get married to a person in sex relations, you become part of that person.
You got DNA, it's all genetic.
And we're all adult here guys, and I understand it's probably small children.
So when you... I'll try to use this in clean terms, okay?
When you...
Do your deed, if you know what I mean.
And to the woman, that's how she gets pregnant, right?
Those genetics passing from you become part of her.
Regardless of if she gets pregnant or not, you are sharing your DNA with her.
Okay, I'm going to leave it at that.
You guys should know what I'm talking about.
Because I know a couple of listeners, the children watch this, and they're going to be respectful for that.
So, a man and woman, they become one flesh when they get married.
And they procreate.
And the two will become one flesh.
It's not like you're going to be attached to them, no, but genetically you're going to be one flesh, plain and simple.
So, therefore God has joined together, let no man put asunder.
In other words, let nobody tear apart.
If God puts it together, no man has the authority or power to do that.
To take it apart, you know?
And in the house of his disciples, ask him again in the same manner.
So, this is later on, Jesus in the house with the disciples, and the disciples, I guess, asked him for more clarification on this, right?
And he said unto them, Whoever shall put away his wife, divorce her, and marry another, commits adultery against her.
So, and if a woman shall put away her husband and be married to another, she commits adultery.
Thank you.
So let me go through that again.
Now people say, well, I can't remarry.
Well, let's... Hold on.
Let's just go because... Let's just go keep reading this because people take this out of context.
So I've heard people, you know, when it comes to divorce and all that say, well, the Bible says you can't marry again.
That's not what it's saying.
If you took these verses out of context, just use this one verse or two verses together.
Yeah, it sounds like that, right?
But if you keep reading, it explains it more.
So anyway, in the context, right?
And again, if you, whoever puts away his wife and marries another woman, you're committing adultery against that woman.
And if a man, a woman, I'm sorry, puts away her husband, the wife's husband, and marries another man, she commits adultery.
So, and they brought up young children to him that he should touch them, and his disciples rebuked those that brought him.
So this is pretty cool, right?
And now here's the thing with the marriage, guys.
Later on, okay, it explains more on the marriage.
You can reconcile with your wife to marry her again, or in the case of adultery, and it goes on to details as we discussed in the book of Matthew, and it goes on to more details about that.
This is in general speaking.
You can't just divorce your wife because you don't want her no more.
You can't divorce your wife because she's not... you know, pleasuring you no more.
You know what I mean?
Stuff like that.
There's got to be a reason.
Like adultery.
Committed adultery or the person dies in the book.
Matthew goes into details about this.
So does, I believe, Mark here too.
So this is just saying in general.
You can't just say, alright, I'm going to divorce you or I'm going to marry another woman.
No, you got to be committing adultery.
Or vice versa with a guy, a girl, divorce her husband, marry another guy, now you commit adultery.
But there's details to that.
You are allowed to divorce and marry another if the woman commits adultery on you, or you know, whatever, you know what I mean?
Or the person dies, you're free from that bond.
So don't take this as like, oh my god, I can't never get married again.
Because I've been in a relationship guys, I was married for a while, um...
And I got cheated on, right?
I'm not gonna get into too much details, but... Yeah, I got cheated on.
Because of the cause of adultery, you know what I mean?
And... You know, it doesn't say you can't get married again.
So I just want to put that out there, because I know some people take this way out of context.
And no, the Bible doesn't contradict itself, because it explains it later.
So anyway, and um... They brought young children to him, so as he's talking to people, right?
Uh, some people brought these children to him, that he should touch them, you know, to help them, you know.
Touch them means, like, uh, to heal them and whatnot, right?
And that everybody just wanted to be touched by Jesus, because they healed you.
And, you know, if I met Jesus, I would, like, definitely give him a hug, not just a touch.
I mean, I want to give him a hug, you know?
And, uh, so they brought these children to him.
When, you know, and the disciples rebuked those who brought them.
So, basically Jesus is talking about this, right?
He's talking about the, you know, adultery and all that stuff.
Addressing the Gentiles and all these people, right?
So, these people just come, like, I want to, you know, my children want to see Jesus, right?
So the disciples said, no, no, no, he's busy right now.
So, whatever they told him, come back later, whatever.
So they basically rebuked the person, saying, look, no, no, he's busy right now.
But, check this out, this is how much Jesus loves children, right?
Now, this is a big, big... We discussed a little bit of this in the prior chapter, when it says, uh, anybody that misleads children, or just, you know, does anything bad against them, it's better to tie a millstone around your neck and drown in the ocean, right?
So this is pretty cool here, so... Now, pay attention, right?
Now, mind you, again, Jesus is talking to all the adults.
Talking about, um...
Divorce and everything else and the laws of Moses and all that stuff.
And this person brought the children in to see Jesus.
The apostles said, hey, no, no, no, no, no.
Don't wait.
He's busy right now.
Whatever they told him.
Just they rebuked him away.
Not now.
They can't do that right now.
He's busy.
So right away Jesus seen us, right?
And he was very displeased.
And he said unto them, you know, the apostles, right?
Suffer the little children not to come unto me and forbid them not, for such is the kingdom of God.
So he was really irritated.
He's like, hold on, whoa, whoa, whoa.
Stop through these doors.
Because he heard the apostles say, no, you can't go there.
You know what I mean?
So he's like, no, no, hold on.
Hold on.
Time out here.
He's like, don't let them, you know, don't block them from coming.
We just explain a lot in Matthew, too.
So, and he says, "...verily I say unto you, whoever shall not receive the kingdom of God as a child, he shall not enter therein." And he took them up in his arms, put his hands upon them, and blessed them.
And when he was gone forth into the way, there came one one and kneeled to him and asked him, good master, what shall I do that I may inherit the eternal life?
So, you know, before you get to that here, this is awesome.
You know, he just showed you how much he loved children.
He stopped everything, in the middle of teaching, to address his children to bless them.
And in the Book of Matthew gets into details about this too.
You know, same thing with the marriage, right?
And more clarifications in the Book of Matthew.
The Book of Matthew just goes through bullet points, basically, of what happened.
It's the same account but from Mark's side, and in the bullet points what happens.
There's very great detail in the book of Matthew about the marriage, very great detail about this incident, yeah.
And in the book of Matthew it goes on to say, if you don't, if you're not, you can't be like these children, you've got to be like children to enter the kingdom of God.
In other words, if you're old, okay, as a matter of fact, 80 years old, you...
You read the Bible a million times, and you did this and that for God, right?
You still gotta be like children, because we're like children to God.
Even though if we have children, grandchildren and whatnot, yeah, we still need to humble ourselves as children.
Because we are children to God.
That's why in the Book of Matthew, it explains this in detail.
Yeah, where they are saying to you, whoever shall not receive the kingdom of God as a little child, he shall not enter it.
You gotta be like a child.
Not in the sense of being adolescent and stuff like that.
No.
You gotta be like a child.
Like a child looking up to his mother and father.
You know what I mean?
Like when you was a child, or your children to you, you gotta be the same way to God.
The father.
So again, he took him up in his arms, put his hands upon him, and blessed him.
Blessed the children.
That's awesome.
So when he was going on his way, there came one woman and kneeled to him and asked him, Good master, what shall I do that I may inherit eternal life?
So this guy come run up to him and like dropped to his knees and said, Hey, you know, good master, what shall I do that I may inherit eternal life?
And Jesus said to him, Why do you call me good?
There is no one good but one, and that is God.
And I noticed thy commandments.
Do not commit adultery.
Do not kill.
Do not steal.
Do not bear false witness.
Fraud, defraud not.
Honor thy father and mother.
Now, I want to point something out in a minute here.
So, keep this in mind as we rest, right?
And he answered it to him and said, Master, all these I have observed for my youth.
But in other words, I kept the commitments, right?
Jesus holded him loved him and said unto him one thing you lack though go thy way and sell whatever you have and give to the poor that shall have treasures in heaven and come and take up the cross and follow me right and he was sad that the saying and he went away grieved for he had great possessions so this guy didn't want to sell his stuff he had all this great stuff And Jesus told him, you want to get to the kingdom of God?
Go sell all that.
And your rewards will be in heaven.
Because the rewards in heaven are greater than anything you have.
So you right now out there in the world, you could be driving a Mustang, or I don't know what, a Lamborghini, a brand new mansion, whatever.
None of that stuff is compared to the rewards in heaven.
Plain and simple as that.
So, I'm going to point this out here too, right?
So now, what did Jesus just do?
If y'all haven't caught on to this already, because I have to go once again to sit here and rip apart the modern-day churches.
And this is modern-day dispensationalism garbage that they go around and tell you, dare to tell you, and this really irritates the heck out of me, that the Ten Commandments are no longer valid, they're no longer law, they're just for the Jews, blah blah blah.
Why would Jesus sit there and recite these?
He just recited what?
Adultery?
This is the 7th commandment, right?
Do not kill is the 6th commandment.
Do not steal is the 8th commandment.
Do not lie is the 9th commandment.
The fraud not honor thy father or mother is the 5th commandment.
He recited several commandments.
So why would he recite these commandments if they're no longer valid or whatever?
Because simply, they are valid.
Jesus never stopped the commitments.
And mind you guys, this is what?
A day or two, whatever the case, right before his execution.
Right before his crucifixion.
Not as he goes on to say, you know, he had abolished the law, but to complete it.
Doesn't mean end it.
Continue it.
That's what it is.
So yes, if you think, alright, oh, the Ten Commandments are just for the Jews.
No, they're not.
That for anybody who follows Jesus Christ, it belongs to God's Israel.
If you want to get into God's Israel, the spiritual Israel, it's not the nation of Israel.
It's God's spiritual nation of Israel, right?
The commandments are still there.
If you say you're grafted in, and you want to come into God's Israel, guess what?
You've got to follow God's laws.
Plain and simple.
It's not how you think it is.
It's not how your church tells you it is.
All this garbage, modern day, John Dobby garbage crap.
Well, the Schofield crap, they had to tell you, oh, the Ten Commandments and all, yeah.
No, the Ten Commandments are valid.
The Apostles kept the commandments.
Jesus kept the commandments.
And talk to people to keep the commandments when we discuss the book of Matthew.
If you miss that, guys, go watch the book of Matthew.
And the details, you know what I mean?
Like, we do many shows on the Spiritual Warfare Friday on the Ten Commandments.
So don't listen to the person behind the pulpit that says the Ten Commandments don't apply to you.
Yes, they don't.
If you want to be part of God's kingdom, they do apply to you.
And in fact, these were already in law before they were known as the Ten Commandments.
They were common day laws today, right?
Check this out, right?
Going to most countries, even the United States, for a while, right?
You could go to jail for committed adultery.
Not so much in the United States anymore, but many countries still do, right?
If you kill somebody, what happens then, in the murder form?
If you murder somebody, what happens, you know?
This is most places you're killed or executed or go to jail, right?
What happens if you steal?
Oh, they're just for the Jews.
Oh, really?
Go steal somewhere.
See what happens and you get locked up, right?
Go kill somebody.
No, I actually don't want you to say that.
I wouldn't cite that.
But I'm just saying, in general, in layman's terms.
Lie in court and see what happens.
Well, lie and get caught.
Like, if you put, you know, accuse somebody for some wrongdoing, guess what?
They find out you're lying, you're gonna be charged.
Go fraud somebody.
So is it okay to disrespect your mother and father now?
You know what I mean?
See where this just breaks down right before you?
So ask yourself, are these really just for the Jews?
These are common laws, guys.
They were common laws before Mount Sinai.
And to this very day, they're common laws in most countries.
Even countries that don't even believe in God.
These are common laws.
In the United States of America, they don't really, you know, weigh in upon adultery anymore.
Which is sad because adultery should be a crime, you know what I mean?
But yeah, if you murder somebody, steal, or lie in court, whatever the case, or fraud somebody, you can go to jail for this stuff.
So, don't sit there saying the commandments are just for the Jews.
They were reiterated, these were already common laws before Mount Sinai.
They were reiterated as the Ten Commandments to Moses, right?
For the Jews.
And God's people.
You don't have to be an ethnic Jew to, you know what I mean?
If you want to get into the Kingdom of God, you have to obey these things.
The Book of Matthew says it plain and simple.
If you want to be called great in the Kingdom of God, you know, to people who teach the commandments, keep the commandments and teach them, you'll be called great in the Kingdom of God.
But if you don't keep the commandments and teach men to do so, like the churches do today, right?
You're going to be called least in the Kingdom of God.
So, I don't know about you guys, and I'm not going to argue with people, but I don't know about you, but I want to be called great in the Kingdom of God, not least.
So, moving on, and he has answered and said, Master, I have all to observe for my youth.
So basically, like I said, back to the context there.
So he called Jesus good.
He goes, oh, there's only one good, it's the Father, right?
And he recites the commandments.
And the rich guy here says, well, I have kept all these things.
I have kept these commandments since my youth, right?
And Jesus behold him and said unto him, one thing you lack, And he says, go thy way and sell whatever you have, and give it to the poor.
And thou shalt have treasures in heaven, and come up and take up the cross and follow me.
So he's telling this guy, look, if you're going to sell everything you have right now and give it to the poor, you're going to have treasures in heaven.
This is coming from Jesus himself.
I'm sure if everybody were here, I would.
If Jesus appeared to me right now to sell this, that, and the other thing, right?
And your treasure would be in heaven?
Yeah, I'm going to go out and sell this, that, and the other, and give it to the poor.
Because no matter what we have on the earth here, guys, I don't care if it's family heirloom, it's all going to be dust, and the moth's going to eat it someday.
It's all going to turn into dust, I'll be quenched in the fire when God cleanses the earth.
Either way, it's going to be destroyed.
Plain and simple.
No matter what you have.
I'd rather store up those treasures in heaven, because in the book of Matthew, it talks about the till.
And the treasures in heaven, yeah, thieves can't break into steel, and rush doesn't get to it.
Where on the earth here, you might have this car, a thief can come in and steal it.
Whatever you have in your house, the thieves can break in.
And the moth and dusters will get to it eventually, you know what I mean?
End up in a junkyard or wherever, you know what I mean?
Plain and simple.
So anyway, and he was sad, that's saying, and he went and grieved for he had great possessions.
So this guy, he was sad they had to sell everything, but did he go celebrate, You know what I mean?
Whatever the case, but he was sad that he had to do it.
So when Jesus looked around about and said to his disciples, how hardly shall that they have riches to enter the kingdom of God?
So he said, look, his disciples, how hardly shall they have riches to enter the kingdom of God?
And the disciples were astonished at his words.
They're like, wow, you know?
But Jesus answered again and said unto them, Children, how hard is it for them that trust in riches to enter the kingdom of God?
So you got to trust in riches instead of the king?
You know what I mean?
He's just baffled.
They're like, alright.
Do you guys get what I'm trying to say?
That's what he's saying to the apostles.
Do you guys not get what I'm trying to say?
Your riches ain't gonna get you nowhere.
Might get you a good dinner or something around here, whatever the case, but it's going to do nothing for you in the kingdom of God.
Same thing with the people on the earth.
Yeah, they might be rich and have power and all that and get treated with top class and everything else, but that's not going to buy you nothing in heaven.
And he goes on to say, for it is easier for a camel to pass through the eye of a needle than for a rich man to enter the kingdom of God.
So this is saying that rich people don't go to heaven.
No.
That's not what I'm saying.
It's tough to go to heaven.
It's still possible with Jesus, you know what I mean?
So, of course, to put a camel through the eye of a needle is impossible, right?
But watch, check this out, right?
People say, well, this is how the Bible interprets itself.
So how the heck could a camel go through the eye of a needle?
It can't, right?
It's impossible.
Check this out, right?
And it doesn't mean that anybody's rich.
It's not going to go that way.
If there's a rich person out there helping people for good and all that stuff, doing all the kind of the heart and doing it for the Lord, they're going to enter the kingdom of God.
And I'm not saying God doesn't bless people riches.
Very rarely, but no.
I'm totally against the prosperity gospel, the Joelsteins and all them.
The prosperity gospel is satanic, plain and simple.
It's like dispensationalism.
It's garbage, you know what I mean?
So, because they say, oh, everybody can be rich.
We're supposed to be rich.
No, that's not.
Because the Bible says we're fully rich.
But there are people out there who have money who do great work for the Lord.
So, the thing is, well, it's impossible.
How can I?
I can't go through the eye of a needle, right?
So check this out, right?
And they were astonished at all those measures, saying among themselves, who then could be saved?
You know, if a rich man can't, you know, has to go through the eye of a needle, How can somebody be saved then?
And Jesus looked upon them and said, with men it's impossible, right?
We just said it's impossible to go through the eye of a needle, right?
A camel?
Because to us, human limitations, we think it's impossible, right?
But not with God.
For with God all things are possible.
All things.
And yes, it's possible for a camel to go through the eye of a needle.
Literally or figuratively, either way.
It's possible.
In other words, if you do good for the Lord, you can go to heaven.
You know what I mean?
If you got money.
Just be, you know, help people.
Anyway, and then Peter began to say to him, lo, we have left all and have followed thee.
So Peter said, well, we did.
We left everything, because remember, you told Peter to drop your net.
He was fishing, right?
He's a fisherman.
He told Peter, drop your net, leave everything behind and follow me, right?
And Peter said, he brought his net.
Well, we did.
We left everything behind.
We left it all and followed you.
And Jesus answered and said, Verily I say unto you, there is no man that has left house in brethren, or sisters, or father, or mother, or wife, or children, or lands for my sake in the Gospels.
But he shall receive a hundredfold now in this time, houses and brethren, sisters, mothers, and children, and lands, with persecutions, and in the world to come eternal life.
But many that are fresh shall be last, and last shall be fresh.
Again, with the first glad of God's breath, right?
So people who want to be exalted, basically, they're going to be put last.
You know what I mean?
I mean, people humble and follow the Lord, they're gonna be put first.
So today, how many people have left the houses?
I'm not saying leave your family, that's not what I'm saying, you know what I mean?
If the Lord instructs you to do whatever, you know, especially at this time, yeah, you do that.
But this is, uh, we gotta put God first, that's what he's saying.
You need to put God first.
You know what I mean?
Put God first and the rest will come with you.
Don't put this stuff ahead of God.
Don't put your family ahead of God.
Don't put your house, you know, put God first.
Then your family, obviously, you know what I mean?
So, verse 32, And they were on the way, going up to Jerusalem, and Jesus went before them, and they were amazed as they followed, and they were afraid.
And he took up again twelve, and began to tell them what things should happen to them.
So, Jesus walked away, and, you know, apostles.
He took his apostles there, and he, you know, to tell them what things are going to happen next.
You know what I mean?
There's coming crucifixion.
And saying, Behold, we go up to Jerusalem, and the Son of Man shall be delivered unto the chiefs' priests.
Unto the chiefs' priests, right?
And the scribes, unto the scribes, and they shall condemn him to death, and shall deliver him to the Gentiles.
So he's telling them, they're going to come get me.
They're going to come arrest me.
I'm going to be faced with the chief priests.
Then the scribes, and they're going to condemn me to death.
And they're going to deliver me to the Gentiles.
And they're gonna mock me, they shall mock me, and they shall scourge me, and they shall spit upon me, him, and shall kill him.
And on the third day he shall rise again, saying, hey, they're gonna come arrest me, convict me, and put me to death.
And James John, son of Zebedee, came unto him, saying, Master, what would thee should do for us whatsoever shall we desire?
And he said to them, what would ye, should I do for you?
So they said, well, whatever you want us to do for us, we'll do it.
And Jesus said, well, what should ye do that for you, that I should do for you?
And they said to him, grant us that we may sit one by one at the right hand and the other by the left hand in the glory.
And Jesus said to them, ye know not what you ask.
Because they want to go with Jesus.
That's what they're saying.
Like when you get crucified, we want to be crucified with you.
You know what I mean?
We want to enter the kingdom of God with you and all that stuff.
Obviously they want to do that, you know?
But they said we want to go with you.
Let them do what you want still.
But Jesus told them.
Now here's the thing too, right?
They're willing to put themselves in harm's way for Jesus, right?
Jesus told them no.
Jesus put himself in harm's way for us.
Now, if you go to the Muslim faith, right?
You'll learn that Muhammad put his own people in harm's way for his benefits.
I don't hold back, guys.
I... All religions... You know what I mean?
All religions are not of God.
I expose them all.
We follow God in the Bible.
You know what I mean?
In Jesus Christ.
So...
Jesus put himself in harm's way for us.
Remember that.
So when somebody says, uh, anything about Muhammad, all these other prophets, whatever, you know, these fake religions.
They always put them, other people in harm's way for their own benefits.
Jesus didn't do that.
He put himself in harm's way for us.
That's how amazing our God is.
And Jesus said unto them, uh, you don't know what you're asking for.
Can you drink of the cup of that I drink of?
And can you be baptized with the baptism I baptize with?
In other words, could you walk with, you know, what I'm doing?
You know, do what I'm doing, right?
And they said unto him, we can.
And Jesus said unto them, you shall indeed drink of the cup that I drink of, and with baptism that I am baptized with shall be baptized.
But To sit on my right hand and on the left hand is not mine to give.
But it shall be given to them for whom it is prepared.
That's how they always talk about the Father.
Because they want to be with Him in His glory.
When He resurrects from the dead and He's sitting at the right hand of God, whatever it is, they want to be with Him.
And He goes, it's not my position to give you.
You know what I mean?
Like, that's the Father's.
You know what I mean?
And it's who God prepared for.
And then when the ten heard of it, they began to be much displeased with John and James, James and John, the other ten disciples there.
But Jesus called them to him and said to them, because, you know, they were a little displeased that he's calling James and John, not them.
But Jesus called to him and said to them, You know that they which are counted to rule the Gentiles exercise lordship over them.
And their great ones exercise great authority upon them.
But you, I'm sorry, but so shall it not be among you.
But whoever shall be great among you shall be your minister.
And whoever of you will be the chiefest shall be the servant of all.
Because they're like kind of jealous and telling you, if you want to be, you know, like again, if you exalt yourself as the leader or whatever, you're going to be the servant.
And the person that's humble, that is the servant, is going to become the leader.
So he's telling them right now, guys, I didn't come to get ministered to.
for the son of man came not to minister upon but to minister and to give his life ransom for many so he's telling them right now guys I didn't come to get ministered to I came to minister to you and I came to give my life for the ransom of the world he Even to this day.
You know, He did it for me, He did it for you, He did it for everybody.
And if you accept Him, He pays that ransom for the sins you did.
And they came to Jericho.
Now check this out, right?
Once again, back to the Old Testament.
How would you know anything about Jericho if you didn't know the Old Testament?
Right?
So he recites the Old Testament again.
And he says, they came to Jericho, and as he went out of Jericho with his disciples and a great number of people... I'm sorry guys, I messed that up.
So I thought he was going to Jericho back in the Old Testament, but it was the city of Jericho, so I apologize.
So, they came to Jericho, and as he went to Jericho, and his disciples and a great number of people, blind Bartimaeus, the son of Timothys, sat by the highway beside Bagan.
So, and when they heard that it was Jesus of Nazareth, he began to cry out and say, Jesus, the son of David, have mercy on me.
So they're leaving him out of the city, going to Jericho.
And on the way there, there's a guy on the side of the road, begging him, begging him.
And he knew it was Jesus coming, and he started crying out to him.
And many charged him that they should hold his peace, but he cried more with great deal.
Thou son of David, have mercy on me.
You know, people say, you know, be quiet, he's busy, whatever the case, right?
And he screamed even more.
And he called out for Jesus, you know what I mean?
And Jesus stood still and commanded him to be called.
So he stopped what he's doing, turned around and said, bring him over to me.
And they called the blind man saying unto him, be of good comfort, rise and call us thee.
And he cast away the garment, rose and came to Jesus.
So another blind guy here.
So he's talking about the faith he had.
So, you know, again, he's crying out to Jesus, right?
And a blind man said to him, Lord, that I might have received my sight.
And Jesus said to him, go thy way, thy faith has made thee whole.
And immediately received his sight and followed Jesus in the way.
So he's talking about the faith he had.
So, you know, again, he's crying out to Jesus, right?
Everybody's telling him to shut up.
Yeah, I mean, and people, you know, charging him, saying, no, be quiet.
Hold your peace.
Be quiet, you know.
And because of the faith and conviction he had in Jesus, he cried out even more of a great deal.
Calling for Jesus, like pleading for him, right?
Jesus stopped, went over to him, and told him to come to him, and he healed him.
Gave him his sight back.
And again, immediately he received his sight and followed Jesus on the way.
So that's amazing, it really is.
And that just goes right back to healing people and doing all these things, even though he knows his death's coming.
Just continue to minister, continue to work with the Pharisees to put them against him.
The elders, the priests and all that.
Constantly trying to go after him, go to him to questions at, to try to incriminate him.
Telling his apostles of his death coming and all that stuff.
And his question's gonna rise on the third day.
Three days and three nights later.
Amazing stuff, you know what I mean?
And they're still out there here helping people.
You know what I mean?
And helping people, healing people, witnessing the people.
It's such an amazing thing.
