So we are now on to the Gospel of Mark, a comprehensive study of the Bible.
And if you missed Matthew and Jude, which we covered already, both books, it's in the playlist here.
So we are now on to the Book of Mark, Chapter 1.
So this is going to be exciting, another exciting book.
I really enjoyed Matthew and the whole Bible in general, plain and simple.
So like usual, you've seen the Book of Matthew.
We'd like to do a specific biblical study approach.
Number one, we pray for wisdom and understanding.
So let's do that right now, guys.
And bow your head and we pray to you, Lord Yeshua, Jesus, that you can forgive our sins and trespasses.
And please make us pure before the Father.
And Father, we ask you to deliver us the Holy Spirit, your divine teacher, to help us learn your word, all the context involved, everything that you want us to learn in your book of Mark today in chapter one.
In your name, Amen.
So guys, we also, what we do here is we read the scripture in context because context is key.
And let the scripture interpret scripture.
Plain and simple.
So let's begin guys.
So we are now on to the book of Mark, I mean, it's going to be an awesome book, too.
And you've got to understand Matthew, Mark, Luke, and John, four witnesses of Jesus Christ to testify that testimony As being around our Savior.
So, you're going to hear a lot of the same things you heard in Matthew.
And you're going to hear the same things in the next four books.
But however, it's just different accounts and testimonies.
And there's other different things that they've witnessed that the other apostles didn't.
That's why all four books are in there, because there are certain things that Mark witnessed that John didn't, that Matthew didn't, and vice versa.
So, here we go.
This is going to be an exciting chapter, guys, and I'm looking forward to this.
Mark chapter 1 and we encourage you to turn the Bible open if you have one or if you're watching on the screen.
This is the King James version which we widely, widely suggest to use.
King James are older.
We don't recommend any Bible that's older than, I'm sorry, newer than the King James.
So we strongly not encourage anybody to use the new King James and newer because the simple reason these Gospels They remove keywords, change keywords, entire text, and even verses.
So I don't want to deal with that.
So we like to go right from the scripture.
King James, Geneva Bible, anything older, you know, that's beautiful.
And if you've got original Hebrew or Greek, that's great too.
So anyway, so in the beginning of the gospel of Jesus Christ, the Son of God.
So as it is written in the prophets, behold, I send my messenger before thy face, which shall prepare the way before thee.
"I don't know." So the voice of one crying in the wilderness, Prepare any way the Lord, make his path straight.
So this is, um, you know, Mark's gospel here, talking about the same, you know, as Matthew did.
And it was all prophesied.
All the prophets that came before Jesus prophesied the coming of Jesus.
In specific detail.
So, and we get to that here in verse 4, John did baptize in the wilderness and preached the baptism of repentance for the remissions of sins.
So you had John out there, the John the Baptist, which we learned about him in Matthew, that was baptizing people in the wilderness and preached the baptism for repentance of sin.
And then went out unto him, And all the land of Judea and they of Jerusalem and they were baptized of him in the river of Jordan confessing their sins.
So and John was clothed with camel's hair and with the girdle of skin about his loins and he did eat locusts with honey.
Wild honey that.
So that was his diet and I think this was he did a specific fasting.
A lot of times before he baptized people because he wanted to, you know, do this for the Holy Spirit, you know what I mean?
So, you know, you always want to be, if you ever do something like this too, it's recommended to fast or, you know, make sure you're cleaning yourself before the Lord, you know what I mean?
If you ever baptize somebody, that means confess any unconfessed sins and or any unknown sins as well, you know what I mean?
We just did here today, go into this chapter.
So, and he preached saying, there comes one money than I after me, that latching of those shoes, who I am not worthy to stoop down and lose.
So this is John the Baptist telling people, as he's baptizing people in the Jordan, he's telling people there's somebody coming that's going to be greater than me.
More money than I. He's talking about Jesus.
And he says, I indeed have baptized you with the water, but he shall baptize you with the Holy Ghost.
So it came to pass in those days that Jesus came from Nazareth of Galilee and was baptized of John in the Jordan.
And straight coming out of the water he saw the heavens open and the spirit lake of Dove descended upon him.
So could you imagine that right now?
Yeah, it was brought up in Matthew, right?
Could you imagine?
This is, again, this is Mark's witness.
Same exact testimony as Matthew.
Jesus is getting baptized, right?
And mind you, John the Baptist already told people, hey, he's somebody coming muddier than me, which is talking about Jesus, right?
That he's not even worthy to buckle shoes, you know what I mean?
So, Jesus gets baptized, right?
As soon as he comes up out of the water, there's literally like light comes from the sky, like a dove descended upon him.
And there came a loud voice from heaven saying, Thou art my beloved son, in whom I am well pleased.
Imagine hearing that.
Everybody heard this, okay?
As soon as Jesus came up out of the water, this beautiful light came upon him, and the Holy Spirit upon him, like a descending dove, right?
And a loud voice out of heaven, that you cannot possibly be mistaken.
Loud voice saying, this is my beloved son, whom I am well pleased.
And immediately, the Spirit driven him into the wilderness.
And he was there with the wilderness for 40 days, tempted of Satan.
Now this is, I talk about the Spirit, the Holy Spirit driven Jesus to the wilderness.
And he was there in the wilderness for 40 days, tempted of Satan.
So this was after Jesus got baptized, right?
Now, he went into the wilderness and the desert and whatnot for 40 days, and Satan was doing nothing but tempting him.
Imagine him over your shoulder, First of all, you're probably sweating, all right?
You're thirsty, you're hungry, and everything else.
And Satan's tempting you every which way.
Hey, I'll give you water if you do this, I'll give you this if you do that.
So, imagine all that, right?
This was a test by the Holy Spirit.
So, he was in the wilderness for 40 days and tempted by Satan, and he was with the wild beast and the angels ministered unto him.
So the angels, the weather's going on too, the angels are ministering unto Jesus, like, it's pretty cool.
So, and now after John was put in prison, Jesus came into Galilee preaching the gospel of the kingdom of God.
So before we get to that, we learned the way Satan was tempted Jesus in the desert, right?
I think it was described in the end too, but basically Satan promised, say, hey, listen, if you follow me, you bow to me, I will give you all the kingdoms of the world.
And if you leap from this mountain, you tempt him to jump off a cliff, and that his angels would save him.
And Jesus told him so.
For it is written, Thou shalt not tempt the Lord thy God.
But any temptation by Satan, Jesus overcame.
And later, the angels ministered unto Jesus.
So, and now after John was put in prison, Jesus came into Galilee preaching the gospel of the kingdom of God.
And saying, The time is fulfilled, and the kingdom of God is at hand.
Repent ye, and believe in the gospel.
So, yeah.
The time is fulfilled of Him.
Him being the Messiah that's here on the earth.
And the kingdom of God is at hand.
So, what that means is it doesn't mean it's right here, right now.
It's at hand.
In other words, if you die tomorrow, as we know in prophecy, many things have to happen before the end comes.
But what he means is the kingdom of God is at hand.
In other words, if you died right now, where would you go?
Repent and believe in the gospel, he's saying.
So the kingdom of God is at hand.
It's at hand right now.
It's at hand right now just as it was thousands of years ago.
Because the thing is, if anyone has died right now, where would you go?
If you have not repented, you didn't come to the cross, where would you go?
Because I know a lot of people like to take that out of context.
And this is why, guys, you need to understand and read things in context.
Because I say this all the time, not to sound like a broken record, but you can take that one verse, right?
Give it to 10 different people, you're going to have 10 different interpretations.
But if the wise person will take that one verse, not just, you know, try to... Because the Bible says, lean not on your own understanding.
So if we took that verse, right, and the wise person would be like, you know what?
I'm not going to give my understanding to this.
I'm going to read it in its context.
What's the context?
Context is the paragraph or chapter that's talking about the same thing, right?
Then there's no room for interpretation because it's as clear as day.
Now, a lot of people don't do that.
They'll come up with their guessing or a minister will say, oh, you know, this is what I think it is.
It's not what you think.
It's not what I think.
It's not what anybody thinks.
Read it in its context.
This is where, you know, very important.
I have to stress that.
So, and we always have to keep ourselves reminded of that.
So when we see a single verse that somebody throws out of context, and yes, I could do this, you could do this, anybody could do this, right?
And I highly recommend you don't, okay?
Because you're going to have to face the Lord for it.
You can take a single verse and you can build up, what they do is, the false religions, build up stories.
So they could present a gospel to say, or some kind of rules to say, well, the Bible supports it.
So they'll take single verses that sound something like that, string them all together to make it fit their agenda.
But when you actually read each verse in this context, none of the verses are what they talk about in the first place.
That's the danger of this, guys.
And another reason why I told not to use the newer text Bibles is because they change keywords, they add or remove them, and take out complete verses to make it fit the New Age agenda.
And if you want to know more about this, guys, tune into our Spiritual Warfare Shows.
So, and again, it says in saying, the time is fulfilled, and the kingdom of God is at hand.
Repent, and believe in the gospel.
This is Jesus saying this.
And now as he walked by the Sea of Galilee, he saw Simon and Andrew, his brother, casting a net into the sea, and for they were fishers.
And Jesus said unto them, Come after me, and I will make you to become a fisher of men.
So he told them both, Drop your nets, come after me, and I'll make you fishers of men.
In other words, like, you're going out fishing.
We need to fish for men.
In other words, to win their souls over.
You know what I mean?
And straight away, they forsook the nets and followed them.
So they just dropped their nets and left.
Plain and simple.
They started following them.
And when they had gone a little further, then, he saw James, the son of Zebedee, and John, his brother, who also were in the ship, mending their nets.
So you got a bunch of guys here.
They were sailors.
They were fishermen.
Trying to make anonymous living, you know what I mean?
So yeah, he just recruited two more people here.
James and John say, drop that stuff guys, come with me.
So he just grabbed four people here.
You know what I mean?
Drop those nets, man.
Come with me.
It's like Simon and Andrew, come with me.
James and John, come with me.
Yeah, drop the nets.
Let's go.
So, and they went into Capernaum.
And straight away, on the Sabbath day, he entered into the synagogue and taught.
So there's a lot of context coming out of this.
And I can't believe to this day that people still go out there and tell people that the Ten Commandments were abolished.
The Sabbath was abolished.
No, it was not.
You know what I mean?
And people say, they'll use verses like this out of context.
Well, wait a minute.
Look, Jesus is working the Sabbath.
First of all, he's the Lord of the Sabbath.
No, how is preaching working?
Doing the will of God is not working.
And if you call that work, I mean, yeah.
That's sadly mistaken.
Preaching the word of God on the Sabbath, okay, is not work.
And again, on the Sabbath day, he entered into the synagogue and taught, which we call Saturday.
And they were astonished at his doctrine, for he had taught them as one who had authority, and not as the scribes.
Not as the scribes.
So, the people who listened to him were like, wow!
You know, because of the things that Jesus was saying, right?
And that Jesus talked with authority.
The scribes, yeah, they talk to authority as it says, yeah, but not as the scribes, with greater authority, basically.
But people are like, wow, you know what I mean?
So the scribes are probably just boring, like, oh, yeah, yeah, do this, do that.
Jesus was like, you know, passionate, you know?
So, and there was in the synagogue a man with an unclean spirit, and he cried out.
An unclean spirit, which is a demon or something.
In the synagogue, right?
And saying, let us alone, we have nothing to do with the though Jesus of Nazareth.
Thou art come to destroy us, I know thee, thou art the Holy One of God.
Now mind you, all right, this is a spiritual warfare.
So Jesus is teaching here, right here, right?
He's teaching in the synagogue on the Sabbath, right?
People just astonished, right?
And there was a guy who was possessed.
We've come to this many times over, right?
Right away, right?
In fear, the demons.
In fear.
Right away, address Jesus as Lord, right?
Don't address him as the Holy One of God.
And they're concerned that he's coming to destroy us.
Because if you haven't caught up with the Matthew series guys, if you know what a demon is, alright?
Demons are the souls of the fallen one's children.
Which is called the Nephilim, the giants and whatnot.
Giants and men of renown.
Right?
So basically after the flood and before the flood and after the flood when these things are being killed off.
So their souls, instead of going being damned to hell, God cursed them to the earth, to roam the earth until Judgment Day.
And you learn this in the book of Matthew, other ancient texts, through scripture and whatnot.
You learn this stuff.
So, what's going on here is why they're concerned, because the thing is, they were told they were going to stay here, okay, to serve their souls.
Now, their souls, these demonic souls, they still hunger, they still thirst, they still have sexual cravings and all that stuff, but they can't quench it because they're in the spirit, right?
That's why they're nasty things, man, when they possess somebody.
That's why a lot of possessed people do these things, okay?
Because to fulfill an endless urge that they have, right?
And it's a curse to them.
It's a punishment for them, what they've done.
So, God curses them to the earth, to Roman earth, until Judgment Day.
Then they're cast into the lake of fire.
They don't go to hell.
Demons don't go to hell.
They're cast straight to the lake of fire.
So is the fallen angels, so is Satan.
Then the people in hell, right now, when they're pulled up, For judgment, them and hell are both cast into the lake of fire.
Like I said in the prior chapters of the book, I mean, hell is like a prison, a jail, I'm sorry.
It's like you get locked up, and you go to court, and if you get convicted you go to the big house, which is the prison system.
So hell is that little jail cell, which is horrible, but nothing compared to the lake of fire, the big house.
So, again, this demon, like right away when he sees Jesus, stop.
Leave us alone!
What do we have to do with thee, Jesus of Nazareth?
Don't come to destroy us!
I know who you are, they're saying.
The Holy One of God.
And Jesus rebuked him, saying, Hold your peace.
Hold thy peace.
In other words, shut up.
And come out of him.
Because they're all dead nervous.
The demons are inside this guy.
They are nervous, right?
And he goes, literally, shut up.
You know, hold your peace.
In other words, shut up, alright?
Come out of him.
Right?
And when unclean spirit had torn him and cried with a loud voice and came out of him, right?
And the people, I mean, imagine, everybody's watching us now, right?
Because we're in the synagogue here.
Tons of people around, right?
Everybody's just watching us and just, wow, what the heck?
You know, because like these demonic people, nobody can contain these people.
Or even go near them without getting attacked.
Now, this demon was deathly afraid of Jesus.
You're going to see this occurrence throughout the Scriptures.
Just by the sight of Jesus, they're afraid.
And they were all amazed so much as that they questioned among themselves, saying, What thing is this?
What new doctrine is this?
For with authority he commanded even unclean spirits, and they do obey him?
Then these people were amazed, went, Wow!
You know what I mean?
Like, we couldn't do this, and we couldn't even go near these people, but these demons are afraid of him, and he just commands them and does what he tells them to do?
And they obey him.
And immediately his fame spread abroad throughout the region and around about in Galilee.
So, of course, people went everywhere.
It's like, oh, remember that guy who was possessed?
The unclean spirit?
A man named Jesus came over, which his name was Yeshua at the time.
I mean, Jesus is a new name.
It's like an English name for him.
But Yahushua, you know what I mean?
So they ran through the land.
Wow, this guy, he's claimed to be the Son of God, which we think he's the Messiah because it's been prophesied.
And later, yeah, he does prove he's a messiah.
So, anyway, in Fort Worth, when they would come out of the synagogue, they entered into the house of Simon and Andrew, with James and John.
So, they were in a house with John, or four of them.
Simon, Andrew, James, and John.
But Simon's wife's mother lay sick of a fever, and Annan, they tell him of her.
So Simon's mother, wife's, I'm sorry, Simon's mother-in-law, I'm sorry.
His wife's mother, the mother-in-law was sick there with a fever, right?
And Jesus came and took her by the hand and lifted her up.
And immediately the fever left her and she ministered unto them.
So as soon as Jesus came in there and took her by the hand, lifted her up, immediately the fever just fluttered from her.
And I guess she was so jubilant that she started ministering to people.
I mean, I would be too.
Imagine you're just laying there sick, you feel like you're ready to die, and there's a surge coming through you, your fever's gone, you got like, probably a boost of energy, you know what I mean?
I can't even imagine, especially coming from Jesus.
And even when the sun did set, they brought unto him that were all diseased, and them that were possessed with devils.
So when the sun did set, this is, uh, you know, that's when the sun set at the time of Tholo, right?
So they brought him into that world of disease.
So a bunch of people that were diseased, right?
Had diseases of all sorts.
And people who were possessed with devils, right?
And all the city was gathered together at the door.
So imagine that, because they've seen Jesus command just one demon to go away, right?
And it spread fame all throughout the land.
So now, everybody and their mother is literally banging at the door asking for help, with their relatives and loved ones who have diseases, sicknesses, people possessed with devils.
And all the city was gathered together at the door.
So yeah, they're like, Jesus, we need help, you know what I mean?
So, and he healed many that were sick of diverse diseases, and cast out many devils, and suffered not the devils to speak, because they knew him.
So he didn't even give the devils a chance to speak, or plead the case.
He said, get out of here!
Get out of this person now.
Go on.
Because they knew him.
They knew he was the Son of God, the Savior, the Messiah, the Son of Man.
You're gonna understand, okay?
I don't know if people ever dealt with demons before or anything like that.
It's a bad thing.
It's a scary thing sometimes.
But yeah, listen, alright?
You don't have to be afraid because if you got the power of Jesus, they're the ones who are afraid.
Remember that.
Demons are afraid of Jesus.
So when you help somebody, or you get tempted by a demon, or whatever the case, right?
You call out the name of Jesus Christ with conviction and authority, that He gives us, right?
These things run with their tails between their legs.
Just the sound of His name, Jesus, and I don't do that sacred name crap, alright?
Jesus, Yeshua, whoever you want to call Him, right?
He knows who you call.
He's not dumb.
He's the Messiah.
So if you want to call Him Jesus, Emmanuel, Son of God, Savior, Messiah, Yahushua, Yeshua, He's going to hear you, and He's going to help you.
He's helped me when I called Him Yeshua, He's helped me when I called Him Jesus.
So all these people at the door, right?
So lots of sick people, had diseases, and people possessed and everything.
And he didn't even give these devils a chance to speak.
Because they knew him, and they were like, yeah, all right, we got to get out of this guy.
Or the person that was possessed, right?
And in the morning, risen up great well before the day, he went out and departed into a solitary place where he prayed.
And then prayed.
So basically, when this was all over, right?
This was going on all night.
So when he finally helped everybody, right?
He went out and departed out of the house.
Went into solitary, which is like a solitary place.
Like just a place out in the middle of nowhere.
You know what I mean?
Probably away from everybody, right?
That's what is solitary, by himself.
And he prayed.
Imagine hours upon hours helping these people.
Yeah, we would need to go defragment too, you know what I mean?
And Simon and they that were with him followed after him.
So when they seen Jesus leave, they immediately started following to see where he was going.
And when they found him, they said unto him, All men seek for thee.
In other words, all men are seeking you.
And Jesus said unto them, Let us go into the next towns, that I may preach there also.
For therefore I came forth.
So let's go, you know what I mean?
So let's just go into the next town zone.
There's more people that need help.
And verse 39, And he preached in their synagogues throughout all Galilee, and cast out devils.
So, imagine this, you go into town after town, right?
And of course it's going to be the same scenario every time, because people are not going to know who you are at the time, right?
You help one person, and everybody's going to flood after you.
Especially when that person's like, he helped me from a devil that was possessing me, or I had a bad disease all my life, he cured it.
I was blind all my life, he cured it.
And of course everybody and their mother's going to want to go to get help.
And there came a leper to him, which is somebody with a leper's disease, it's a skin disease, beseeching him and kneeling down to him, saying unto him, If thou wilt, thou canst make me clean.
So a leper came to him and asked him, begged him, kneeling down to him, said, Can you, if you can, make me clean?
And Jesus moved with compassion, put forth his hand and touched him and said unto him, I will And then be thou clean.
Because I will make you clean, so now be thou clean.
And as soon as he spoken, immediately the leprosy departed from him.
And he was cleansed.
Imagine that!
I don't know if you all know what leprosy is, man.
It's like, you know, all your skin and everything else.
Immediately gone!
And I think it hurts too.
I don't know too much about leprosy, but I think it hurts and whatnot.
It hurts and itches, whatever the case, but imagine just going off your skin.
That's amazing.
Soon as Jesus touched him, He straightly charged him in full width and sent him away.
In other words, he went right up to him, did what he had to do, and said, be gone.
You're free now from this disease.
And I'm sure he was like, you know, believe me and all that.
So go, go tell the people, right?
And he said unto him, See that... I'm sorry, I'm jumping ahead, I'm sorry guys.
So, he told him, Jesus went straight up to him and said to him away, and he said before he went away, right?
And Jesus, I was putting words in Jesus' mouth, I apologize about that, so... And sometimes I jump ahead, you know what I mean, and I apologize.
So, and Jesus said to him, See those, say nothing to any man, but go their way, show thyself to the priests, and offer thy cleansing for those which Moses commanded for a testimony unto them.
So you say, don't tell anybody what happened here.
Right?
Leave here, don't tell anybody what happened here, right?
Go to, go get cleansed by the priests.
Which is a way that Moses commanded them to do.
And tell them what happened.
Tell them that I healed you.
For a testimony unto them.
A testimony of what you experienced.
Go tell them.
But he went out and began to publish it.
This guy was so excited, right?
Even though Jesus said, don't tell anybody.
Just go to the priest and make an offering to get cleansed.
But instead, he went out and began to publish it.
Now, he's screaming it to the college woman.
In a blaze abroad, the matter, so much that Jesus could no more openly enter into the city.
But, in other words, because Jesus told him, because he knew, as soon as this guy ran off, right, and probably telling everybody, multitudes of people would come flooding to him, asking for the Satan.
You know what I mean?
And it's not that Jesus didn't want to help people.
There is a reason for this, okay?
And we'll find those reasons in chapter 2.
And, you know, again, you got a question, right?
I've learned this going along.
I've learned as I go along as well.
So, towards the end of the chapter, we're like, we're left with a question.
Like, this question will be there right now.
Why did Jesus tell him, just be quiet about it and go, right?
You gotta find out why he did that for.
Because here's what happened, right?
But when he went out, the guy, he began to publish it, and much in other words, yelling out, Hey!
This guy healed me!
And it then blazed abroad the matter, insomuch that Jesus could no more openly enter the city, but was without a desert place, and they came to him from every quarter.
So this is why...
Because, and we're going to find out why, you know, because the question is why wouldn't he want, you know, it's not that he didn't want to heal everybody right away.
There's a, there's a reason why, you know what I mean?
Probably an admission or something.
So again, Jesus told him, Hey, be quiet about it right now.
You know what I mean?
Just go to the priest like I told you.
Go tell them what I did.
Just the priest, right?
But this guy was so excited.
He ran out and told everybody.
So now everybody came from every quarter.
In other words, they came from every direction.
Begging and pleading to order.
You should see this, man.
Jesus, Yeshua Messiah.
That did this to help this guy with leprosy.
Amazing stuff, so...
That's the end of chapter 1.
Please tune in for chapter 2.
This is going to be an amazing study, really, is the book of Mark.
And again, it's another testimony of Jesus.
The book of Matthew is a testimony of Jesus.
And yeah, you're going to hear a lot of the same things, guys.
But again, like I said, not to sound redundant, but you've got to understand, you've got Matthew, Mark, Luke, and John, the four chapters there.
That, uh, for books, I'm sorry, that have their perspective.
In other words, if me, you, right, was there to witness Jesus, I'd write a book about Jesus, the stuff I've seen.
You would write a book about Jesus, the stuff you've seen.
Because there'd be stuff that you've seen I didn't, and there'd be stuff I've seen you didn't.
If you get the picture there, you know what I mean?
So this is why all four testimonies are in here.
So, because of the stuff that other ones didn't see, you know what I mean?
Or went there for.
This is awesome stuff, man.
And this is learning the Bible in context.
So I hope to go through the entire Bible.
I did the book of Jude one day, and I'm like, you know what?
Because it was one chapter, and I'm like, you know what?
Let me just do this.
Start out with Matthew.
Matthew is one of my favorite books.
And I'm like, yeah, let's just keep rolling with this.
And we're gonna roll into Revelation, and we're gonna start in Genesis and all that.
So, I should have started at Genesis, I apologize, but it was a thing I wanted to do on the Book of Jude, and it just, like, the Holy Spirit convicted me, and said, let's go all the way.
So, my goal is to finish the entire Bible, chapter by chapter.
And one video each chapter, because we want to understand, yeah, I'm, like, anxious to go right now into Chapter 2, but let this absorb into you for us.
You know what I mean?
And this is what the churches don't do.
Let it absorb into you.
Learn it, okay?
Learn it in its context.
And what I want you to do guys, because my thing is we trust this plan.
It's called the Bible and God's plan.
Nobody else's, not QAnon, not Trump's plan, not Biden's plan.
All right.
And not the world's plan, but the plan of God, the Holy Bible.
So I want you to do this, right?
Even though we just read this, go read it for yourself because now knowing it in this context, you're going to see a whole new world open up with the scripture.
Guys, if you go to a Bible app that just reads the Bible for you, that's all you get, is just read it to it.
The Bible's not meant, and I'm not gonna keep repeating this just in this chapter here, but the Bible's not meant to be read like a magazine or a typical textbook, just skim through it.
No, you need to stop, take your time.
Sure, maybe if you read this, right, there's 45 verses here, right?
How long would it take an average reader to read this?
Probably four or five minutes, right?
Some advanced readers, two minutes?
That's not what it's about, because you're going to miss so much if you do that.
There's so many people out there that say, oh, I read the Bible before, but anybody read, you know, most people have already read the Bible.
Doesn't mean you know it.
Just because you got people bragging out there, it's got the Bible.
Oh, I read the whole Bible before.
What did you do?
Did you understand it?
We could just skim right through this, I got the Bible up, blah, blah, blah, blah, blah, blah, blah, right?
Not stopping on each verse and saying, what does that mean?
What is he talking about?
Who's that person?
Because if you just read through it, right?
If you just read through it, right?
Solitary like that?
You would have a bunch of questions.
Or wouldn't even understand half of it.
Like as we just did, right?
A thorough, in-depth, comprehensive study as we just did, right?
Now we fully understand what this was talking about.
Through the help of the Holy Spirit.
And read it for yourselves guys, because you gotta probably pick up stuff that I missed.
And don't take my word or anybody else's word for it.
You'll read it for yourself.
Plain and simple.
