Declaring war on the New World Order.
truthradioshow.com And welcome to the Dan Bedonics show on truthradioshow.com So I'm your host, Dan Bodondi, and we're doing the Book of Matthew, a comprehensive study of the Book of Matthew.
We are now on to Chapter 14.
So if you missed Chapters 1 through 13, it's on our playlist here.
So please check that out.
And I want to express that if you're looking for something just to read the Bible for you, there's plenty of audio Bibles out there, all over YouTube and apps and everything else.
That's not what we're doing, just reading through the Bible.
What we do here is a comprehensive study of the Bible.
Verse by verse, break it down and everything else.
So, we have a particular Bible study approach that we use.
Number one, we pray for wisdom and understanding.
Number two, we read the Scripture in its context.
Because the context is key.
And let the Scripture interpret Scripture.
And the reason why we do this for, guys, because it's not like a novel or a magazine you can just skim through and read.
It's not like that.
You're supposed to take your time, break every word down if you have to, to fully grasp and understand and pull out all the context that the Scripture has to offer.
So let's start with prayer.
And everybody, please join us in prayer.
We come to you, Yeshua, Messiah, Jesus Christ.
We ask you to forgive us of our sins and make us right before the Father.
And Father, we come to your throne asking you that you could Send upon us the Great Comforter, which is the Holy Spirit, to teach us and guide us in fully understanding Your Word.
In your name, Amen.
So, this is very important, guys, because the Holy Spirit is the divine teacher.
And we always tell people to trust the plan, the only plan, and we always recommend to use a King James Bible or anything older than that.
Because anything older, newer, I'm sorry, anything newer than the King James is vastly corrupt.
They change important key words, remove key words, and entire verses.
Pleasant simple so we we don't want to use anything that's going to distort the word of god So king james and older like geneva whitecliffe bible stuff like that.
That's great But regards whatever bible you got guys could actually go online to get it or a bible app to get any You know bible you want to choose so we suggest you don't put up your bibles and also After we're done with this video guys.
I don't want you to take anybody's word not even my own Read it for yourself.
Don't take somebody else's word for it.
Read it with yourself.
So, that's what we're going to do today, is read descriptions, plain and simple.
So, where we left off last time, we left off in chapter 13, when Jesus was talking in parables.
And so, Which is going to go on to chapter 14.
So this is when Jesus, after he gave these parables to the multitudes, and the multitudes went away, the disciples came to him asking him to declare us the parable of the tears of the field.
And Jesus explained what the tears were.
You know, the wheat through the tear.
Okay, the wheat and the tear.
We are the wheat.
And the tear is working on Earth.
Plain and simple.
And he also explained in the prior chapters here why he talked in parables.
This way, people could not possibly misunderstand him.
And so now we're on to chapter 14, guys.
And so, open up your Bibles, if you can.
And if not, you can read it right up on the screen here with us.
And at the time of Herod, he was a king now, the Tetrarch heard of the family of Jesus.
And he said unto his servants, This is John the Baptist, he is risen from the dead, and therefore mighty works do show forth themselves in him.
So Herod had laid hold on Jesus and bound, I'm sorry, John.
So they arrested John and bounded him.
So, you know, put him in jail and put him in a prison for Herodias' sake, his brother Philip's wife.
And Herodias was his brother Philip's wife.
So John said unto him, it is not lawful for thee to have her.
So, because it's somebody else's wife, that's adultery, plain and simple.
So, basically what was going on is King Herod, right, he was kind of getting jealous, because the fame of, you know, Herod is to, you know, we read through with Matthew, every time he got jealous of something, you know what I mean, he had people killed, or whatever the case, so now he's getting jealous of Jesus, because he's getting more fame than King Herod.
So, yeah, he's getting a little bit jealous.
So, he goes and, John the Baptist, right, he goes and arrests him.
So, I guess you seek to...
And he laid hold on John Mayer, and he put him in jail for Herodias' sake, and his brother Philip's wife.
So, anyway, for John said unto him, It is not lawful for thee to have her.
You know what I mean?
You can't have her.
She's married.
Plain and simple.
It's adultery.
So many things wrong with that.
You know what I mean?
And when he would have him put to death, he feared that the multitude, because they counted him as a prophet.
So, this is King Herod.
They could not actually have John put to death.
But because he had the prophet status, okay?
You know, walking right alongside Jesus and everything else.
And, um, you know, John had very notable as a, you know, prophet.
Uh, you know, so from Jesus himself.
So, uh, by King Herod putting John to death, yeah, uh, it would cause a big stir in the kingdom.
So he's like, yeah, uh, we're not going to do that.
So, but when Herod's birthday was kept, the daughter of Herodias danced before them and pleased Herod.
So, we got some adultery going on there.
That's what that's talking about.
Some sexual stuff and please them.
Yeah, that's exactly what that means.
Like, she had sexual relations with Herod there.
So, whereupon he promised with an oath to give her whatsoever she would ask.
So now, she seduces King Herod.
And now he's like, you know what?
And I say, I promise with an oath to give her whatever you ask.
So he's telling her, I said, listen, what do you want?
So, and she being before instructed of her mother said, give me here John's Baptist head in the charter.
So she wants John dead.
All right.
At first, King Herod was like, no, we can't do that because he's a prophet status, you know what I mean?
It's gonna cause a big stir in the kingdom.
And so he had this thing for the daughter of Herodias, right?
And even John told him, you can't marry her, dude, she's married.
So they had some affair going on and he pleaded, you know, right there, you know what I mean?
They...
You know, she pleased him.
So yeah, that's sexual relations.
And so basically this was going on now.
Cause he already made a promise to her.
So basically if we got together, um, whatever you wanted, I'll grant it to you.
And she, uh, saying before the instructor of her mother, her mother told her to tell him, listen, uh, I want John's head in the charger.
So in other words, decapitate his head.
And put him in a box, a charger I believe.
It's something like a box or something.
Like a showcase to show his head off.
If I'm not mistaken.
If you guys please correct me in the chat room or in the comment section and uh, you know, hopefully we can work, you know, see what that charger is.
I should actually look it up.
Uh, for the sake of, you know, you know, the time here, um, basically they want, the mother of her wanted his head, plain and simple.
So, and the king was sorry.
Okay.
The king didn't want to do this.
But still, there's no excuse.
Because nevertheless, for the oath's sake, and them that would set him at meat, which is dinner, he commanded it to be given to her.
So, like we're going back here, King Herod's like, yeah, because they wanted him dead, you know, John the Baptist.
And he goes, no, we can't.
We'll just throw him in jail, because if we kill him, it might cause a stir in the kingdom.
So, you know, with this relationship and everything else going on now, he had to honor the oath that he promised.
Whatever you want.
And of course they wanted John to baptize his head.
So the king, you know, basically was sorry.
But nevertheless they went through with it.
And he commanded it to be done.
That John to be killed.
And he sent and beheaded John in the prison.
And his head was brought in the charger and given to a damsel.
And she brought it to her mother.
So what's a charger?
Let me show you.
Let's look this up.
So I learned as I go on this myself.
So what is a charger that held John's head?
So I'm just trying to find out what a charger is.
Yeah.
A bowl or a deep dish.
A silver vessel given to the heads of the tribes as a service.
So this is look like it's a bowl or a deep dish.
By the biblestudytools.com.
The silver vessels given by the heads of the tribes for the services of the Tabernacle name.
This was a charger.
Yeah, this is right here.
So let's click on this here.
So like I said, we learn as we go along here.
King James the Bible and so It's not saying what a charger is here, but I should have looked this up prior guys.
I apologize about that.
But it's got to be some kind of display thing.
That's what I'm thinking of.
Well, you know what a charger is.
So whatever the case long story short, they cut John's head off.
Okay, plain and simple.
So if you guys know what a charger is, you know, it's not your cell phone charger either or your computer charger.
The charger is something that I think it's like some kind of a case or something maybe a mantle or whatever that holds John's head.
But you please let me know in the chat room if you know what that is and I should have looked this up I'm sorry, but um, yeah anyway, so again King Herod was sorry and you know, so he's like, yeah, but you know, I gotta honor my oath And the thing is you're gonna honor your oath number one you commit adultery, right?
And number two you're murdering so you just broke the sixth and seventh commandment But anyway, and he sent and beheaded John in the prison, and his head was brought into charge and given to the damsel, and she brought it to her mother.
So the woman that he had a little affair with there, she brought the head to her mother.
And Jesus came and took up the body and buried it.
Disciples, I'm sorry.
And the disciples came and they took John's body and buried it and went and told Jesus.
So yeah, imagine burying your friend that has no head.
That's, uh, yeah.
Not, you know, bad enough that the poor guy's dead, but yeah.
Without a head now?
And why would she want his head?
That's the other thing, too.
I really gotta look into that.
Why would she want John's head?
That's kind of weird.
But anyway, and so when Jesus heard of this, he departed then by ship into a desert place, a pot, and then when the people had heard thereof, they followed him and fought out of the cities.
So Jesus departed out, and that's what's saying of the city there.
And people, you know, all started following Jesus out of the cities.
And Jesus went forth and saw the great multitude.
And again, that's many, many people.
You know, we said this a couple of times in the series here, a multitude is a lot of people.
So great multitudes, probably thousands.
It's got to be in the thousands somewhere, who knows?
But it actually explains it later.
Yeah.
You know, because it talks about people eating.
So, like we said, let the scripture interpret the scripture.
You know, because we're going to find out what that multitude is when they, you know, Jesus feeds them.
So, and so this is awesome when, you know, trying to find something out later, the scripture interprets itself.
So if you take one single verse on its own, you know, I mean, ten different interpretations by ten different people, but if you read it in its context, you gotta have the same answer by all ten people.
So that's why you tell people, read these things in context.
But anyway, Jesus went forth and saw a great multitude and was moved with compassion toward them.
And he healed the sick.
So he's like leaving the city for a repurpose and he's seeing all these people come seeking for him and he's like, alright, let me help these people here.
And when it was evening, the nighttime here, his disciples came to him, saying, This is a desert place, and the time is now past.
Send the multitudes away, that they may go into the villages and buy themselves rakels.
Which is, I think, is some kind of, like, another word for food.
You know what I mean?
Dinner.
You know what I mean?
Because, again, if you don't know what that means, you can look it up, but it also explains this Latin description of the term itself, you know what I mean?
So, yeah, so the night came, and the disciples told King Jesus, saying, you've got to send these guys away, because the night time's coming, it's dinner time, and, yeah, just tell them to go into the villages and buy some food.
Right?
But Jesus said to them, in verse 16 here, They don't need the pot.
Give them some, you know, food, tea.
That's what he's saying.
They need not the pot.
Give them some food, tea.
You know what I mean?
Give them some food.
And they said to him, we here, we have here about five, four oz of fish.
So there's multitudes of people, right?
And he goes, they're saying like, yeah, we'll give them something to eat, but we only have five oz of bread and two fish.
How are we going to feed all these people?
And Jesus said, bring them here to me, you know.
So, and he commanded the multitude to sit down on the grass, and he took the five loaves and two fishes, and looking up to heaven, and he blessed and broke and gave the loaves to his disciples, and the disciples, the multitude.
So he explained to himself there, holding all the food up to heaven and blessing it.
Then he gave the loaves to the disciples to go around and distribute, break a piece of bread off and distribute it.
And the cool thing is it just kept appearing back.
It would be like the loaf of bread just growing back or whatever.
You know what I mean?
And it's amazing.
Multitudes of people, five loaves of bread and two fish.
And they ate, they were all meat, they said, and they were full.
So that's, I mean, here's the thing.
You've got multitudes of people, right?
Five loaves of bread, two fresh.
I mean, five loaves of bread, two fish normally, right?
That'd be probably just like about a snack for the 12 disciples and Jesus, right?
13 people.
Yeah, I mean, that wouldn't be enough for 13 people, let alone multitudes, right?
So, but it says, um, they ate and all of them were full.
And they took up the fragments that remained in the tall baskets.
So you went from, uh, five loaves of bread, right?
You could literally stick in one basket and two fish, right?
Now they've filled up five baskets of the fragments.
That's the remains.
In other words, the scraps that they didn't eat.
Yeah, you take what you want and you eat there of it and you're like, you know, when you eat dinner, right?
Plain and simple.
When you eat dinner, if you don't eat it all, you put, you leave it on the plate, you wrap it up, whatever, whatever you do with it.
You know what I mean?
Well, yeah.
So they showed up five baskets.
That's crazy.
And they had eaten where about 5,000 men besides women and children.
So here we are then with the scripture just interpret itself because here we ask, How many is a multitude?
Right?
It's a great multitude, right?
And it goes on to say, you know, Jesus fed them.
And, you know, the great multitude, right?
You tell them, don't go into the village.
Don't, you know, you don't have to go.
The disciples recommend going to the village to buy some food.
Jesus said, no, we'll feed them.
Don't worry about it.
We already got five loaves.
Lord, and we only got two fish.
And he goes, don't worry about it.
Plain and simple.
And he blessed them to heaven.
And he was able to feed 5,000 men.
Besides women and children.
So, you're looking at, this could be 10,000 or more.
Of people.
All for five loaves and two fish.
Amen to that.
That's the miracle of Jesus, you know?
And, uh, verse 22, in a straight way, Jesus constrained his disciples to get to the ship and to go before him, uh, to the other side.
Well, he sent the multitudes away.
So, uh, they're ready to leave now.
And, uh, he told them, listen, all right, guys, get in the ship, go.
I'll meet you there, whatever the case.
Uh, go, go ahead of me.
Right?
So they, you know, the disciples got on the ship without Jesus, right?
And they left, you know, they cast off.
And in the meantime, Jesus, like, talked to the, you know, the multitudes and, uh, you know, then sent them away.
Say, all right, guys, go back home now.
I healed you guys and all that stuff.
And, you know, all that good stuff, you know?
So, and when he had sent the multitudes away, he went up to a mountain, a pot to pray.
And when the evening came, you know, the nighttime has finally come now, he was there alone.
He's there at nighttime, right up on the mountain by himself.
Meanwhile, the apostles have already set ship, you know, I mean, set sail, I'm sorry, across the bay, you know, into the sea, I'm sorry.
Uh, so anyway, uh, while he's praying on the mountain, right?
These guys are already out in the sea.
So, and it goes on verse 24, but the ship was now in the midst of the sea, tossed with waves for the wind was contrary.
So there's a storm kicking up.
Alright, we read about this in a couple of chapters ago.
A similar story where the waves kicked up and Jesus was sleeping.
Remember that?
He was asleep while there was a storm going on in the ocean.
And they're like, Jesus, quick wake up!
We're going to drown and perish!
And Jesus woke up and called them.
It's like, ye of little faith, you've seen all the stuff I've done and are you denying it now?
And he commands the winds to stop, and the waves to stop, and it stopped.
So anyway, verse 24.
And the ship was now in the midst of the sea.
Mind you, Jesus is not with them.
He's up on the mountain praying, right?
And the ship's already set out.
Now, the ship's being tossed about with waves, and the wind was like picking up and all this stuff.
A storm's going on, right?
And in the fourth watch of the night, Jesus went out to them walking on the sea.
And when the disciples saw him walking on the sea, they were troubled, saying, is that a spirit?
And they cried out in fear, like, what?
You know, imagine you're in the dark storm.
Now it's nighttime, guys, right?
Waves are kicking up.
The winds are crazy, right?
And you're scared to death because now you're on a ship.
Jesus is not with you.
And you're like, oh, man, we're in trouble here.
Then you see this guy just walking on the sea in the middle.
You're like, that's crazy.
So they cried out in fear, because they didn't know what it was, right?
But straight away, Jesus spoke to them, saying, Be of good cheer, it is I. Do not be afraid.
And Peter answered him, saying, Lord, if it is you, bid me to come unto the water.
Because they were scared.
They didn't know if it was Jesus or, you know, they'd seen some guy walking on water when there's a storm going on.
They were just, like, scared, you know, petrified.
And I think the average person wouldn't if they seen that you know, so they're petrified like they're challenging say listen Is that really you and Peter said well if it is you let me walk on the water with you And he said Jesus told him come come on and when G Peter Was come out of the ship down off the ship, right?
He walked on the water to go to Jesus.
So Peter gets out of the ship, right and Probably thinking he's going to drown or whatever.
Gets out of the ship, steps on the water, he's walking on it.
But when he saw the wind boisterous, he was afraid and began to sink and he cried, saying, Lord, save me.
So there's Peter, right?
It's like, Lord, if that's really you, Lord, let me walk to you.
And Jesus says, come, come on.
So Peter gets out of the ship, walks on the water, right?
Then he realized, wait a minute, oh, there's a mega storm going on.
Basically, he just throws his comprehension that there's a, yeah, yeah, there's a major storm going on.
Oh, crap, you know?
And then, you know, completely loses sight of Jesus.
Starts sinking in the water.
And immediately, Jesus stretches forth out his hand to catch him.
And he said unto him, O thou of little faith, where dost thou doubt?
Cause when he seen the storm, he's out in the water standing on the sea.
He's like, oh man, you know what I mean?
And uh, so he started sinking and Jesus grabbed him going under the water and, you know, raised him back up onto the top.
And he said, you know, what's wrong with you?
You know, didn't you learn from last time when I stopped the seas and the waves and all that when I was sleeping?
All the stuff I've done, you know, that's exactly what he's saying.
Oh, you of little faith.
Where did you doubt?
Why you doubt me?
All the stuff I've done in the year goes back to the Jews.
So when you know going to Mount Sinai all the stuff that the gods done for them and they kept doubting you know going against God when Moses was going to Sinai to get the Ten Commandments.
But it just shows you there's people All through the scriptures.
Seen all these miracles and stuff that, you know, if we seen it, we'd be like, wow, 100% sold.
But they, yeah, they were 100% sold when they seen it, but again, they're doubting, you know?
Jesus says, you know, you of little faith, why you doubting?
Seriously.
So when they came onto the ship, the wind ceased.
So Jesus grabbed his hand, walked him across in the water there, and back onto the ship, and the wind stopped.
Then they were in the ship, they came and worshipped him.
So everybody in the ship, all the apostles, they've seen this.
Him and Peter get back on the boat, walking on the water.
So they got on the ship and, well, everybody's like, they came right up to Jesus and started worshipping, saying, O of the truth, thou art the Son of God.
You are the Son of God.
If they had any doubt at all, okay, this right here sealed it.
That confirms it.
You are the Son of God.
You are who you say you are.
And guys, we all doubted God.
You know what I mean?
Maybe not directly, but directly somehow.
Or lost faith or whatever the case.
You know, this is Jesus showing them a lesson.
That's what this is about.
About faith.
You know what I mean?
And there's so much context in this stuff, and the meanings and everything else.
So, verse 34, when they were gone, over, they came into the land of Gennesaret.
I hope I pronounced that right.
So yeah, and they, you know, they got on the ship, and, you know, the winds calmed down and all that stuff, and they, you know, kept going.
So when they went over to the other side, they came into the land of Gennesaret.
And when the men of that place had knowledge of him, they sent out into the country round about and brought unto him all that were deceased.
So basically when they see Jesus and the apostles coming ashore, and this had to be now, this had to be like toward the morning time.
Cause it took him a while to cross over and it was nighttime when this was going on.
So this had to be in the period of the morning for, you know, people would be out there at that time of morning cause everybody was sleeping at night, you know?
So the minute that place had knowledge of him, they already knew about Jesus.
That's what they're saying.
So when they seen him, they got all excited and ran about the country saying, Hey, Jesus is here.
He's here in the shore, you know?
And they brought unto him all the people that were diseased.
So I guess they brought some dead bodies.
That's what I'm looking at here.
And 36, it says, and besought him that they might only touch the hem of his garment, and many of his touch were made perfectly whole.
So besought means like seeking to touch Jesus, you know, and if I could touch his garment, I could be made whole.
And it was so, plain and simple.
So we're gonna get into verse uh, I'm sorry, uh chapter 15 Next which is a different video.
We're just doing a video by video.
So what we learned today you guys is like, um, have faith This is the moral of this account here.
I don't like to call them stories because they're not stories These are actual accounts Like a documentary or whatever the case you want to call it, but this is um, exactly what happened This is not figuratively.
This literally happened.
You know what I mean?
To teach the apostles a lesson, and also about faith, and also those who will read it, you know what I mean?
So yeah, so what we're gonna do is we're gonna get to chapter 15 next, and that's a different video.
And then Jesus came to the scribes and Pharisees, which were in Jerusalem, saying, Why do the disciples transgress the tradition of the elders?
For they wash their hands, they don't wash their hands when they eat bread.
So we're gonna get, the next chapter's gonna be about traditions of men versus God.
Following God or you know, do you follow God or traditions of men?
That goes a very long way.
We're going to discuss in the next chapter.
So until then guys, thank you guys for joining us on this episode here.
