And Shalom and welcome to another edition of this Biblical In-Depth Comprehensive Study of the Book of Matthew so we move on to Matthew Chapter 5 so welcome to the Dan Badani Show guys TruthRadioShow.com so not to sound repetitive but what we do is
we study the Bible in-depth so any...
Ministry, they have audio Bibles.
Any, you know, cell phones have these apps and cell phone company, whatever the case.
They have apps that you could read the Bible and everything else.
So we're not doing that.
We're not just going to read through the description.
We're going to stop and understand what each verse has to say.
In-depth, comprehensive study.
That's what it's called.
So anybody can read the Bible, but not anybody can know the Bible.
You know what I mean?
So it's a big difference between reading the Bible and knowing the Bible.
And uh, so the Bible is taught by the Holy Spirit, not a ministry, not a college or university or anything like that.
It's taught by the Holy Spirit.
So it's a book of Matthew chapter 5 we're going to work on today, guys.
And also, memo, trust the real plan of the Bible only.
We go by sound doctrine.
That's it.
No other doctrines like the Catechism, Quran, or anything like that.
We only go by what the Bible has to say.
Plain and simple.
And that's the whole Bible.
That's the Old and New Testament.
And not just one side of the Bible.
Both sides of the Bible.
Plain and simple.
So, that's the way it's intended to be taught that way.
You know what I mean?
So, anyways, let's get on to the study here.
Because this is a pretty big chapter here.
It's 40-something verses in this chapter.
And again, we're not... I mean, if you actually read through these verses, it'll probably take about 5 minutes or so.
to read it, but that's not how we're doing it.
You know what I mean?
You want to read it in context.
You know what I mean?
But the scripture interprets scripture, and context is key.
So you cannot be deceived.
So Matthew 5 and I encourage people to open up your own Bibles guys.
And if you don't got one, open one up online, whatever the case.
So we use King James or the Geneva.
So whatever you want to use, go for it.
But we suggest the King James or the Geneva, whatever the case or something older.
So anyway, let's just start off here guys.
And if you need a minute, just pause the video.
So, Matthew 5, and then it says, In seeing the multitudes, he went up into a mountain, this is Jesus now, and when he was set, his disciples came to him.
So where we left off is in chapter 4, and we left off that Jesus had a great multitude of people from all over Galilee, from Decapolis, Jerusalem, Judea, and from Jordan, all come to have him heal them from devils, from diverse diseases, torments, and all that stuff, and palsy, and that's, you know, people out of everywhere came to see Jesus for healings.
So, first of all, let's begin with a prayer and like we do all the time.
So Heavenly Father, we come to you and ask you once again to give us some wisdom and understanding and to pour out the Holy Spirit to be our divine teacher and our comforter as Jesus gave us.
And Jesus, please forgive us of our sins and trespasses that we may have committed individually and wash away those sins that we may be pure before the Father and able to absorb the information and the teachings from the divine Holy Spirit.
In your name, amen.
So let's just get this going, man.
So much cool stuff that's in these contexts.
It's amazing.
So the words in red, obviously, are words from Jesus himself.
And seeing at the multitudes, he went up into a mountain.
And when he was set, his disciples came to him.
So the point is, why would he go to a mountain?
This is what I want to point out, too, because remember back then, when you have multitudes of people, right?
Imagine you're outside, there's thousands of people.
That's multitudes, right?
How would you be able to talk to them?
Especially back then, they didn't have megaphones and loudspeakers and all that stuff, right?
Concert type speakers to talk to thousands of people.
So, obviously, the higher you go, your voice is like an acoustic, so to speak.
The voice travels down, you know?
So, you being up, excuse me, up on the mountain, right?
You could easily talk to the people below.
You know what I mean?
And everybody can see you.
The other thing too.
So, everybody can't see you if they're on level ground.
So you being up... That's why people... Remember the soapbox?
They call them the soapbox people.
People used to stand on the streets.
They stand on a soapbox so they can be elevated so everybody can see and hear them.
You know what I mean?
That's the same concept.
You know what I mean?
So, that's what that means.
That's why he went up to a mountain.
So he went up in the mountain and he opened his mouth and taught them saying.
Okay, now this is him teaching.
Everybody's like, and the cool thing is everybody's got a good spot because now we're just looking up.
Nobody's in your way to see him.
There he is, right?
You know what I mean?
Plain and simple.
We all can see him up in the mountain.
So... And he opened his mouth and taught them saying.
Blessed are the poor in spirit and theirs is the kingdom of heaven.
So bless the poor in spirit for theirs is a kingdom heaven.
So basically the poor in spirit is being people who have bad lives.
You know what I mean?
They just not get the luck of the drawing things.
And just like you know what I mean?
One thing after another.
Things like that.
You know what I mean?
We all go through that stuff man.
But you know.
In other words.
Don't worry about the stuff on the S guys.
If you're going through hardships and all that.
It's not about that.
Strive through it.
But you know what?
Our kingdom is, you know, we're not, we're supposed to be in the earth but not of the earth.
Because we're supposed to be of the kingdom of God.
So, blessed are they that mourn, for they shall be comforted.
So people, obviously, who are mourning, I mean, it could be over death or anything, you know what I mean?
You're mourning, you're just upset about stuff, whatever.
He will comfort you.
And blessed are the meek, for they shall inherit the earth.
And blessed are they... No, actually... Like I said, we like to interpret scripture.
And again, if you don't know what the word means, and I forgot what meek means... There we go, meek definition, and I think that's... So meek is quiet, gentle, and easily imposed on.
Submissive.
So that's what it means.
Somebody who... You're basically with somebody who society takes advantage of.
They're gentle, they're kind and all that, but they're like people walk all over.
So, that's the meek, right?
and he says they'll inherit the king the earth and blessed they which do hunger and thirst after righteousness for they shall be filled so people seek truth people seek to learn the word of god to learn god's understanding and his wisdom the holy spirit bless of them yeah i mean that's all of us i'm Obviously, you're watching here because you're here to learn what the Scripture has to say.
Same thing, as I'm teaching you, I'm learning myself.
I'm just relying on Holy Spirit to disseminate through me to you what this stuff means.
So as I'm learning, you're learning too.
So this is us.
We hunger and thirst after righteousness, for they shall be filled.
I mean, righteousness also mainly means people who walk in the path of God.
People every day who strive to avoid temptations, and I try to do that.
We all get tempted and everything else, and we all try to walk righteously, you know, for righteousness.
In other words, walk in the path of God and, you know, try to do our best every day to live by the Word of God.
And blessed are the merciful, for they shall obtain mercy.
So people who are merciful in other words like if you see somebody on the street that's poor you got to stop your car you got to turn around and you know somebody's just like uh you know i mean see this anorexic looking person in the street and uh i don't you know i mean i don't want to i don't want to say the point because i don't want to brag about um what happened but uh it was this homeless person on the street they had to sign up for money and food whatever and they were very skinny you know with a wife and husband and i'm like i drove by him like
I was going to stop, but I didn't have nothing to give to them.
I'm like, I can't do that.
So I turned around, went back the other way and passed them.
And I went to Burger King, grabbed a couple of burgers.
And I told them, say, this is for homeless people up the street.
If you guys got any food that you're about to toss out, because they keep them for a certain amount of minutes.
Not that it's bad.
It's just the health department stuff, you know.
So they're throwing some extra fries and nuggets and all that stuff.
The generosity of the manager.
So it's cool.
So I went by, yeah, giving this big bag of food and some drinks, big drinks and all that.
Oh, man, they were like, wow.
And I'm like, you know what?
I felt good because, you know what?
At least these people are going to live for at least another day.
You know what I mean?
They got drink and they got food.
You know what I mean?
And it's for the glory of the Father.
You know what I mean?
And I told them, I'm saying, you know, they're like, thank you.
It's like, no.
Thank Jesus.
You know what I mean?
Keep faith in Jesus.
You're going to get through this.
You know what I mean?
That was my message to them.
You know, it's not by glory.
I didn't go out and videotape this stuff like people do.
No.
You know, this is about Helping people.
You know what I mean?
If you're merciful.
You know what I mean?
Help people.
That's what that is.
Pure and hot means have a heart of gold.
that's exactly what that is blessed are the peacemakers for they shall be called children of God so a peacemaker is somebody like I'm like I would be Yeah, I wrestle and all this stuff, you know, but I am a peacemaker.
I mean, I can't stand adversity, you know what I mean?
And I've done it so many times.
Friends and family that turn against me.
And for the sake of making peace, I'll apologize for stuff I didn't do.
Just to make peace.
And I would humble myself.
And you know to apologize for something I'm in there.
Just to make peace.
You know what I mean?
Or you see two people fighting.
Like I got two friends sometimes that fight with each other.
Right?
I try to get in there and mend them together again.
You know what I mean?
That's just the way I've always been.
You know what I mean?
So.
And blessed are they which are persecuted for righteousness sake.
And for theirs is the kingdom of heaven.
So this is probably going to be all of us.
Okay?
We're all going to be persecuted.
I've been persecuted.
We've all been.
If you're preaching the word of God.
And you're walking in the word of God.
You're going to be persecuted.
Because Jesus says.
Remember they persecuted him for us.
And they are going to persecute us.
Especially with this tribulation coming up soon.
If you're not here already.
But you know.
They're coming down hard on Christians in many countries.
So, be blessed.
If they persecute you, be blessed for it.
So, blessed are ye when men shall revile you and persecute you and shall say in all manner of evil against you falsely for my sake.
So, they're gonna come out of the word wreck.
They're gonna try to blame you for stuff.
We've seen all of this history.
They're going to try to blame you, persecute you, swear at you.
All kinds of evil against you.
Because of the very fact that you believe in Jesus Christ and you preach Jesus.
So the demons that control these people are going to do everything in their power to come against you.
Yeah, I'm sorry.
I gaffed that up.
So, yeah, I'm sorry.
I gaffed that up.
So, once again, rejoice and be exceedingly glad.
For great is your reward in heaven. - Oh.
For so persecuted they of the prophets.
Now what this is saying, before you, they've already persecuted the prophets.
We can read that through the Old Testament.
The prophets were persecuted.
They were.
Some were killed and everything else.
So remember that.
So before you, young, before you get mad that you're being persecuted, remember they persecuted the prophets first, and they persecuted Jesus.
But the thing is, uh, rejoice!
Rejoice!
Because this lifetime is only temporary.
And it might seem long right now, yeah, so it does.
I'm 48 years old, seems like a long life, but yeah.
Nothing compared to eternity.
Our whole lifetime is a... Even when Adam lived 930 years old, I think it was?
That's still a... To God.
Versus eternity, you know what I'm saying?
So yeah, we might live in persecution and everything else but you remember?
Uh, an eternal life can, uh, rejoice because, uh, Yarrow what is heaven?
Heh!
I don't know about you, but I'd rather face persecution now than go to hell.
You know what I mean?
Plain and simple.
But ye are the salt of the earth, but if the salt has lost its flavor, where shall it be salted?
And thenceforth it is good for nothing but to be cast out, and to be trodden under the foot of men.
So what is it saying here?
Jesus is explicitly instructing us to be the salt of the earth.
Now this goes to, and I'd hate to pick on the churches again, but you know in today's modern day churches, He wants us to be the salt of the earth, right?
So basically if you're eating something that's, you know, the salt brings out the flavor, right?
So if the meat or whatever loses its flavor and you're still chewing it, yeah, what's gonna happen?
And you say it takes a long time to chew or whatever, just gum, right?
Example, when you're chewing gum, right?
You eat grape gum, when the flavor's gone, right?
There's no more flavor to it, it's like, you spit it out of your mouth, right?
Cause you lost it's flavor and that's what it's saying, right?
And that this is the food sense, right?
But this is in the spiritual sense, right?
Now, the people who go to churches and all that, they sit in the pews all day.
They gather together on the Sundays and picnics and all that.
But are they out in the world bringing the light to the people?
No.
Some are.
Yeah, some go out in ministries and do evangelism, street ministries, which is the best stuff you could do.
But most of them don't.
The only time they even show any bit of righteousness is when they're at church or at the church functions.
All week long, they're working and cursing and living an ungodly life.
But on Sunday, they'll go there and be weekend warriors, so to speak.
Like I grew up in an Italian family, right?
And they all went to the church every Sunday religiously.
We grew up as a caliphate, unfortunately.
But every Sunday, religiously to the church.
They had to go to First Communions and all this stuff.
It was religious.
That bang had to be done, right?
But during the week, every other word out of their mouth is cursing God.
Every word, you know, use the word the Lord's name would mean.
Uh, saying F in Jews, F in this and F in that, you know what I mean?
Bad words, right?
But on Sunday, you get the point, you know?
So, whatever the case, but this is what it's saying, alright?
Be the salt of the earth like he was.
Go into the midst of the sinners and bring witness to them.
But if you're sitting there doing nothing, what good are you?
You're good for nothing.
That's what he's saying.
Edmund Burke, one of the Founder Fathers, right, he was a negotiator, right?
He quoted, and there was some other person that quoted too, that the only thing evil needs to succeed is for good men to do nothing.
So in today's world, good men don't do anything.
If you're not doing nothing, what good are you?
Even if you're wheelchair-bound, just share in a post on social media.
Bring descriptions to people and try to talk to them, help them.
That's being salt and flavor.
And you're not going to be spit out.
So, Would you want to be spit out of Jesus' mouth?
No.
Plain and simple.
And you are the light of the world.
A city that sits on hell cannot be hid.
So, what does that mean?
If you're the light of the world, right?
And you're hiding, not doing nothing, right?
You're not on hell no more.
You're in that tunnel.
that's concealed in your light, right?
So basically you can light a flashlight, right?
If you put that flashlight in a desk drawer, under the seat, or cover it with some blankets or something, the light's not gonna be, nobody's gonna know that.
You know what I mean?
You have a light on.
When you just put a light up on the hill, everybody sees it.
It's like a lighthouse, right?
The boat, everybody in the world that goes near there, you see a lighthouse.
You can't, not possibly see it.
That's what he's talking about.
And you being a light, In other words, you being doing the new witness and everybody knows, hey, this is a guy who's doing a show preaching the Bible.
You know what I mean?
So, neither do men light a candle and put under a bushel.
That's what I was just actually saying too.
But on a candlestick, it gives light unto all that are sitting on the house.
So, they're saying men don't light candles and put under a bushel.
So, they'll light a candle so the whole house is illuminated.
So, because if you light a candle, whatever, first of all, it's gonna burn the bushel, but second of all, the light's not gonna shine.
So there's no point even lighting it.
So when you light a candle, you put on the mantel so everybody could, you know, lift the house up, you know.
Or the light.
If you turn the light on, the swipe light switch, and you cover the light with some cover, you know what I mean, it's going to be useless.
So let your light shine before men so that they may see your good works and glorify your Father which is in heaven.
So if you're out there helping people and just like being like the best person you can be, right, and everybody sees it, they're like, wow, this guy's such an awesome.
Even people would hate you.
They're like, you know, I don't like that guy, but they're always saying kill him with kindness, right?
You kind of people.
It's going to cut, even to the most evil people, it's going to cut into their conscience.
Like, you know what I mean?
And society says that this person is always doing his good things.
Wow, this guy is a good role model or inspiration, right?
But then you learn it's not about him, he's following God.
Wow, wow, wow!
So I guess Christians ain't bad people.
You know, because they get demonized on TV and all that.
Well, that's weird because the TV was saying this about Christians, extremists or whatever the case.
But he's out there helping us.
He didn't have to do that.
My roof caved in from the storm and he was out there for eight hours helping us.
Didn't even ask for money.
He turned down money we tried to pay him.
Stuff like that.
Those are examples.
And think not that I come to destroy the law or the prophets.
I am not to destroy but to fulfill.
So this is a big, big issue.
And this is like right up my alley.
Because I've been preaching for a long time.
Because these churches out there, ministries, they constantly, constantly, Constantly.
Say the Ten Commandments are no longer law, they were nailed to the cross.
No, they weren't nailed to the cross, okay?
The ordinances were nailed to the cross.
Paul said the ordinances, not the laws, not the commandments or the statutes.
Four different things people need to realize that.
Those ordinances, those are the penalties.
Not the commandments, okay?
Plain and simple.
So this is Jesus saying, I haven't come to destroy the law.
I don't know why people today get this.
No it doesn't!
Fulfill it.
And people say, oh, fulfill means to end it.
No, it doesn't.
To fulfill, he became the final lamb sacrifice.
That's how he fulfilled it.
But it doesn't mean the Ten Commandments go away.
Not even close.
Because we, like I just did a new show earlier today, and I did a special segment on the Ten Commandments, and people, these churches today, take the Ten Commandments and going with the wind.
No!
Jesus said three times even after the cross, three times in the book of Revelation, to keep the commandments of God, that's the Ten Commandments, and keep the faith in Him.
All through the entire New Testament, he's constantly talking about his Great Commandments, which is nothing but a summary of the Ten Commandments, and reciting the actual Ten Commandments.
Keeping the Sabbath holy, the seventh day, which is Saturday, we would call it Saturday.
So, verily I say unto you, till heaven... Now, check this out, right?
He says, take not that it come to destroy the law, or the prophets, or that it not come to destroy, but to fulfill it, right?
For verily I say unto you, that means listen, listen to what I'm talking about.
Till heaven and earth pass, not one jot or tittle shall be changed, no wise change from the law, till it all be fulfilled.
Now people say, well it's been fulfilled when Jesus Resurrected from the dead.
No, listen to what it says.
I hate when people say that.
Did that say that?
No, okay?
Jesus, that's not what he's talking about.
Because it was all fulfilled when Jesus, when the grave for three days and resurrected.
He conquered death, he conquered sin.
Yes, he did.
But that's not fulfilled.
That's not what he's talking about.
Okay, if you listen to the beginning of the sentence, you would understand because people jump to conclusions.
To say that, you know, it was all fulfilled through the Ten Commandments and no longer well.
Did you not read the beginning of that?
Till heaven and earth pass away.
Not one jar of tittle showed.
Did heaven and earth pass away yet?
Last time I didn't know we were still on a stinky earth here.
Evil everywhere.
And we're in there again.
Let the scripture interpret the scripture.
What does that mean, right?
When we get to the revelation and end time stuff, right?
What does God, Jesus say?
He's gonna make a new heaven and a new earth.
After all is complete, right?
All the prophecies and everything.
Satan's cast into the lake of fire.
There's no more evil.
He's gonna make a whole new heaven and a whole new earth, right?
Has that happened yet?
Obviously, you don't have to be even a...
You don't even have to know a lick of the Bible, basically, to know that's not happened yet.
Obviously.
Has it been fulfilled?
No.
Not yet.
I'm not saying it's going to happen.
Yes, but not now.
He's not saying the Ten Commandments are gone.
And he goes on.
And whoever shall break one of these least commandments... And he goes on.
And this is why context is key.
Because people will take one scripture, one verse out of context.
That's what they do, the dispensationalists.
Even that doesn't prove their point, right?
So you take it and it's context.
Okay, this is the context.
Of the commandments, right?
They'll never give you these three verses together.
They'll separate the three verses.
And throw them way out of context.
Throw all the verses in there.
It might sound like it, but it doesn't.
Frog hop all over the Bible.
When the context is this.
Alright.
So whoever shall break one of these least commandments.
Shall teach men to do so.
That's what the churches do today.
They teach men it's okay to do this.
And Jesus says you're going to be called least in the kingdom of heaven.
But whoever shall do and teach them shall be called great in the kingdom of heaven.
I mean, what part of that you don't understand?
That's Jesus saying, Jesus Christ saying, if you break one of the Ten Commandments and you teach men to do so too, you're not going to be called great in the kingdom of heaven.
So tell me, are they abolished?
Now you read in this context, you can clearly see now, they're not abolished.
To all things be fulfilled, that's when the new heaven and the new earth will come.
That's when all evil is cast into the lake of fire, there's no more evil out there at all.
None.
No more death, no more sorrow, no more dying, anything like that.
That's when it's all fulfilled.
Not when Jesus comes to the cross and all that.
That's not what he's talking about.
And whoever, you know, again, plain and simple, if this does not convince you, I mean, I need to smack you in the head with the Bible.
I really don't.
Physically.
He's saying, if you're teaching, this is what ministries do today, guys.
They're saying, don't worry about the Ten Commandments.
I've been to so many churches.
Oh, they don't matter no more.
Who cares?
I'm like, what?
Are you, you, you know what I mean?
If you're teaching men to do this, you're not going to, these are premier pastors and ministries all over the television telling people to do this.
You're not going to be called great in the kingdom of God.
That's what it says.
That's exactly what it says.
It's not out of context.
The whole context is clearly saying the Ten Commandments are not abolished.
And they won't be until all is fulfilled and that's when Heaven and Earth pass away and God makes a new Heaven and a new Earth.
And if you read the biblical scripture, I mean the timeline of this prophecy, that's after judgment comes, okay, the resurrection of the saints, and the living caught up with them, then the wicked will be judged, right?
The wicked and Satan and all those angels and all that are going to be in hell itself, is going to be picked up, cast into the lake of fire, going forever.
That God creates a whole new earth here.
He, and it's quenched by fire.
The fire just cleanses the entire earth.
He makes a brand new earth.
That where we can live on.
And a brand new heaven that comes down.
I mean, it's so beautiful.
That hasn't happened yet.
I wish it did, because I wouldn't be here having to tell you this stuff.
So anybody out there right now just believes that the Ten Commandments, just by this alone.
I can show you.
I did tired shows on this.
Hours and hours of shows.
Me, John Hall, John Pounders, you know what I mean?
David Carrico.
Okay, we did hours and hours of shows.
Okay, equivalent to probably weeks.
Tons of Bible scripture to show you the Ten Commandments are not abolished.
And this alone, if you can't, I mean, that says it all.
And for verily I say unto you, that except your righteousness shall be exceed the righteousness of the scribes and Pharisees, ye shall know in case enter into the kingdom of God, heaven.
So the Pharisees and the scribes at the time were just the regular folks out there who mocked, you know, Jesus or whatever the case.
You know, the worldly people, that's what that means.
Like we deal today with so-called scientists and people who constantly trash God in the Bible.
If your righteousness doesn't exceed theirs, which they have barely none, that's what it means, alright?
You're not getting to the King of Heaven, that's what it says right there.
People say, oh no, no, Dan, Dan, Dan, Dan, Dan, Dan, Dan, let me cut you off.
It's only by grace we're saved, not the commandments, you know, they're like that, you know what I mean?
No.
Yes, we're saved by grace, okay?
We understand that.
Grace is what saves us, okay?
Nobody's arguing with that, right?
But grace is not a free pass to transgress the law.
That's sin.
Sin means, the Bible's meaning, transgression of the law.
That's the commandments.
So if you're sleeping with a married woman, yeah, you're not going into the kingdom of God.
I don't care what Pastor McCauley tells you.
Billy Graham and Joel Osteen are these clowns that say, oh you can do what you want.
I have been to churches literally that tell you, believe in Jesus now, go do whatever you want, you're going to heaven, you're guaranteed it.
Once saved, always saved, doesn't matter what you do, you're going to heaven.
That's not what the Bible says.
That's dispensationalist garbage.
You need to walk the walk and talk the talk.
That's what you need to do.
If you're going to talk the talk, you need to walk the walk.
The best you can.
And ye have heard that it was said by them of old times.
Yeah, here we go.
Of old times.
This is referring to the Torah.
Okay, the old scriptures there.
The Old Testament.
Thou shalt not kill.
Well, what's this?
Oh, 10 Commandments of Abolish.
Oh, what's this?
You've heard of old times?
Once again, we read in chapter 4 the same stuff.
Reciting the Ten Commandments.
And here's Jesus again reciting, this time the Sixth Commandment.
He recited the First Commandment in Chapter 4.
Now there he is with his own words.
You have heard of all time saying, Thou shalt not kill.
And whoever shall kill will be in the danger of judgment.
That, what is that?
That's called the Sixth Commandment.
So wait a minute, is it okay to kill now since the commandments were abolished?
No.
Darius is saying, no, no, no.
You're going to be in danger of judgment.
Now, don't let this be misinterpreted either, because God didn't instruct Joshua and many people to kill in righteousness.
In defense and everything else.
That's not what he's talking about.
People kill in a murderous way.
Because at the time, killing was killing, okay?
And it's really murdering.
You know what I mean?
Murdering for envious things and whatever it is.
But if you kill, if you have to kill in self-defense or you're instructed by war, you know what I mean?
That's not what he's talking about.
Because God himself instructed his military to kill Nephilim giants and enemies of Israel.
That's not what it's talking about.
So don't miss... This is the importance of context, guys.
So if you don't... Why would you be angry?
Because you're jealous of your brother?
So you're gonna be angry with him?
That's what it's talking about?
You're gonna be in danger of judgment.
And whoever shall say to his brother, Raka, shall be in danger of the consul.
But whoever shall say, thou fool, shall be in danger of hellfire.
Now here we go again.
This is where you have to have a reason to say to call somebody a fool.
Because if you just call somebody a fool for no reason, yeah, you've got to be in danger of hellfire.
But if you've got some clown out there teaching bad stuff, like in other words, if you've got a person out there teaching blasphemy, like they'll take some scripture and mix it with some other doctrine or whatever.
False ministers, those are fools.
Because the Bible mentions what fools are and all that stuff.
And all that, you know what I mean?
And that's not what it's talking about.
If you just say, hey, what up fool?
You know what I mean?
Why are you calling him a fool for?
Do you have a reason?
And the Bible actually, when you read through the scripture, it gives you the, you know, if there's a reason to call the person a fool, yes.
Again, let the description interpret itself and that's what you'll see.
It doesn't mean you can't call somebody a fool.
It means you just don't call somebody a fool because you're going to be in danger of hellfire.
Unless there's a righteous reason for it.
Therefore, if you bring the gift to the altar and Darren remembers that my brother had art against him.
I love the book of Matthew.
It's just so awesome.
It really is.
It's like nuclear bomb kids.
Every religion out there.
It just disseminates the Quran, disseminates the Book of Mormons, disseminates the Watchtower, disseminates the Catechism.
Disseminates the Hangul, I can't pronounce that word.
all the texts, like all the doctrines of men.
And therefore, if you bring the gift to the altar, and there rememberest that thou brother hath against thee, And leave there the gift before the altar, and go thy way.
this alone it's like hard to understand but as you read it you understand it context you know what I mean in this context so this explains it leave the gift before the altar and go thy way first reconcile to thy brother and then come to the altar with thy gift so in other words don't come to the altar with a gift if you're not going to reconcile with your brother it's like you know what I'm sorry brother let's just store this under the bridge
let's reconcile with each other and just forgive and forget each other forgive and forget what was going on and let's move on I love you brother let's just work things out you know what I mean that could go a long way it could be a physical brother or a friend or whatever that's what it's saying you know what I mean doesn't necessarily mean your brother.
You know what I mean?
It's so many different means behind that.
So, in other words, if you got strife with somebody, you know what I mean?
And, you know, especially both believers too.
You know what I mean?
Don't hold it under the bridge.
You know what I mean?
Move on.
Don't hold grudges of each other for stupid stuff, especially.
Work it out.
You know what I mean?
Doesn't mean you have to hang out with the person anymore, just move on and you feel better about yourself too.
You feel the weight off your chest.
So, agree with thy adversary quickly, while thou art the way of him, and lest any time the adversary deliver thee to judge, and the judge deliver thee into the officer, and they be cast into prison.
So, and the adversary, I'm sorry.
So, agree with the adversary quickly.
Because you'll be in the way of him.
Unless anytime the adversary delivers you to the judge.
And the judge delivers you to the officer.
And you'll be cast into prison.
So the saying is agree with the adversary to avoid problems.
That's what it's saying.
And agree with the means, work it out, reconcile, you know what I mean?
In this way, this guy doesn't have a grudge against you.
And, you know, all problems can arise with that, you know what I mean?
And verily I say unto you, thy shou about no means come out then still that has paid the uttermost father.
You know what I mean?
So, he says, again, thy shou not by no means come out then until that has paid the uttermost father.
So, in other words, work the stuff out, get it over with, swallow your pride, and, you know, that's it, move on.
And, again, it doesn't mean you have to hang out, be best friends with the person, whatever.
Just get it out of the way.
This way there's no grief between you two.
You can move on, you can move on, and you're going to, you know, there you go.
You know what I mean?
You feel better about yourself, whatever.
So, now, here we go again.
Yeah.
This is the third time in two chapters Jesus himself is reciting the commandment.
You know, the commandments that are supposed to be abolished according to mainstream churches today.
And you have heard that it was said by old times, again, reciting what?
The old times what?
Reciting the Torah.
Thou shalt not commit adultery.
Huh.
The Ten Commandments are abolished.
So why would Jesus be telling people that?
And again, the church says, oh yeah, just read Matthew through Revelation and that's it.
No.
Read Genesis through Revelation.
Because, how would you know?
And this is with the mind-controlled churches.
They'll say, oh, just read Matthew through... So, they don't know what he's talking about.
You can't understand the New Testament unless you understand the Old.
Old times.
That's the Torah.
That is written.
That's the Torah.
I shall not commit adultery.
That's the Seventh Commandment.
So he just recited the 6th commandment and the 7th.
He's recited the 1st commandment in chapter 4 as we discussed earlier in the last video.
Now he recited the 6th and 7th commandment here.
But I say to you, whoever looks upon another woman and lusts after her, he's already committed adultery with her in the heart.
He doesn't have to physically do it.
In other words, if you look at your friend's wife or just a girl in general, and in your mind you're addressing her and you get the point, okay?
You've already committed adultery in your heart.
So what does that mean?
You literally pluck out your right?
That's a saying to say, if something is causing you to sin... Get rid of it!
that one of the members should perish and not the whole body that should be cast into hell.
So what does that mean?
You literally pluck out your right.
That's a saying to say if something is causing you to sin, get rid of it.
In other words, if you're in your house, right?
You Just in your house, right?
Just say there's a magazine that comes in the catalog, right?
And there's a swimsuit catalog, right?
That comes in the mail all the time for your wife or daughter, whatever.
And there's a swimsuit catalog, right, in there.
And every time it comes in the mail, you look through it.
Ooh, ooh, look at that girl, you know what I mean?
Stuff like that.
Get it out of the house.
Or just don't take part of it, you know?
If something is causing you to sin, pluck it out and cast it into the fire.
Could be anything.
Could be a TV show you watch.
And for some reason, in a number of blunts, you're turned on by a certain character in the show.
Then what happens after that?
You get nasty thoughts, and in your mind you're like, oh yeah.
Yeah, you commit an adultery.
In your heart.
That's what it's talking about.
Cast it away.
Don't watch the show no more.
You get the point.
I could use a million examples off this.
You know what I mean?
And I hope you get the point on this.
Because... Yeah, just cast it away.
Plain and simple.
That's why Jesus talked in parables, so everybody can understand.
So it's two examples right there he's making.
and offend thee, cut it off and cast it from thee for it is profitable that you should that one of the members should perish and not the whole body that cast in hell.
So there's two examples right there he's making.
If something caused you to sin, cut it off.
If you're a guy hanging out with a girl that's constantly being flirtatious you know like you know what I mean?
And it's causing you to sin, yeah, don't hang out with them.
Or you work in a job that distributes porn, yeah, you might want to get another job.
But if it's causing you to sin, you look at it, you get all aroused and you masturbate, whatever the case, yeah.
You might want to get something else, you know what I mean?
Like, that's what it's talking about.
So now we move to marriage.
So, and it has been said, that's referring where?
To the Torah.
You know, the church will say, oh, don't read the Torah, it doesn't matter.
No, it does matter.
Jesus several times already has said, as it is written, of all times, it's been said, this is the Torah.
So, if you put away your wife, you've got to give her a writing of divorcement.
Okay?
But I'm saying to you, that whoever shall put his wife away, Saving for the cause of fornication, causing her to commit adultery, and whoever shall marry her that is divorced commits adultery.
So now a lot of people out there think, oh, today I can get separated.
Number one, there's no such thing as separation in the eyes of God.
You're either married or divorced.
I don't care if a judge says you're separated.
It doesn't give you a free pass to go sleep with another girl.
Or go marry another girl.
You know, that's not how it works according to God.
I don't care what the states say.
You are not free to date other people if you're married.
Now here's the thing, too.
If a woman commits adultery, right?
I got cheated on.
She's married again.
But the thing is... Yeah, according to the Bible, she's not allowed to get married again.
The person she cheated on me with, she's married to.
And the Lord is not going to bless that marriage.
That's exactly what it says right there.
And the person that married her is committing adultery, too.
That's exactly what that says.
You can't, if you're committed adultery, right?
You cannot marry somebody else.
You could repent of the sin, yes, like Jesus did with Mary Magdalene.
He stopped her from getting stoned, and he forgave her of her sins, and she was fine.
But you can't remarry.
Unless you, um, unless you work it out with the husband.
And later on, if you, um, the husband later says, alright, yeah, it's like, you know, I want to get back together with you, I forgive you.
Yeah, that's allowed to do it.
We'll show you that.
You know what I mean?
But she can't go off and marry other people.
And again, if you heard it has been said, again referring to what?
The old times?
The Torah.
Thou shalt not forswear thyself, but shalt perform unto the Lord thine oaths.
Don't swear upon yourself.
Don't take oaths, okay?
So I know today in the world we have even when you join the military You know you join some police force where you take an oath to the Constitution, right?
That sounds good.
Yeah Constitution is great But you take an oath to it.
Yeah Jesus says don't take oaths to nothing and we're gonna get into that too But I say to you swear not at all Neither by heaven or for it is God's throne now where we've got a quote, right?
What do they do?
Put a Bible on you?
Put your hand on the Bible?
And they hold your hand so you swear to tell the truth, the whole truth.
So nothing but the truth.
Help me God.
That is not biblical guys.
I've been to courts and I've been to things like that.
And I tell them no.
It's like I don't swear oaths.
It's my biblical, the book of Matthew says we're not to swear oaths.
My yes would be yes and my no would be no.
I'm not swearing on any oaths.
You don't, even if it's of God, okay?
Even on the Bible, okay?
You don't do it.
It says it right there.
So it doesn't matter if you vote for the Constitution or it's God himself, you don't do it.
Because Jesus says that by faith, you swear not at all.
Either by heaven or the Bible or God or whatever is thrown, don't do it.
Not by the earth, for it is God's footstool, neither by Jerusalem, for it is the city of the great king.
Neither you shall swear by thy head, because you can't make one hair turn white or black.
In other words, don't even take an oath in this Freemasonry, right?
And that's why I love the book of Matthew.
It's awesome because every degree of Freemasonry is an oath you take.
On your life and most oaths or whatever the case.
Yeah, the book of Matthew says it's different.
You don't swear upon any oath.
You don't take any oaths at all.
Even if it's on your life, even if it's on God, when people say, oh, did you do that in your life?
And you're like, no, I didn't do that.
Well, swear to God and prove to me.
Swear to God right now that you didn't do it.
People say, oh, I swear to God I didn't do it.
You know what I mean?
And they cross their fingers sometimes or whatever.
You don't do any of that.
Somebody says, swear to God.
It's like, no.
I don't care what you say.
No, I didn't do it.
Or yes, I did.
You know what I mean?
Let your yes be yes, your no be no.
You know what I mean?
You don't take oaths.
Then this is Jesus saying that but let your community camps are you let but let your communication be yes is yes and no for no Yay for yay Nay for name for whoever is more than this comes of evil So basically if you're doing anything more somebody's actually if you like did you run the red light?
Yes, I did That's it Oh, you swear on that unit?
Oh, you know, if he didn't run it.
I didn't run that red light.
The cop wasn't paying attention, whatever the case, right?
Oh, pfft.
Did you swear on that unit and run it?
We'll take your word for it, but oh, you gotta swear on it.
No, whatever, no.
You don't swear on nothing.
Oh, people saying, oh, you swear to God you didn't steal my money.
No, I'm not swearing to God.
It's like, believe me or not, I didn't take your money.
I'm not going to swear to God because that's forbidden.
That people don't understand that.
People will do it all the time.
Oh, I swear to God.
Don't swear at all!
You know what I mean?
Like, to anything.
Jesus said, don't swear to God, don't swear to heaven, don't swear to the earth, don't swear on your own life, don't swear on to your... whatever, you know what I mean?
Yes is yes, no is no.
Period.
Alright?
And you have heard of, again, being said In the old times, the Torah, an eye for an eye and a tooth for a tooth, right?
Another saying referring to the Torah, I'm sorry.
This is just sayings back then.
You know, somebody takes your life, you take theirs, whatever.
Whatever the case, you know what I mean?
Somebody steals, you steal that stuff.
An eye for an eye, tooth for a tooth.
But I say to you, and people take this out of context all the time, right?
They'll say, oh, the Bible says an eye for an eye, tooth for a tooth.
No, it doesn't.
If you actually read it in its context, it's not what it's saying.
If somebody punches you, like, in other words, if somebody goes and breaks your window, you don't go break their window, too.
Oh, the Bible says that?
No, because you're misreading it.
He says you heard of this thing, people saying, I am trying to get a tooth for a tooth.
But he has, again, context is key.
That's not what it says to have an eye for an eye, tooth for a tooth.
He says, you heard them saying eye for eye, tooth for tooth, but I tell you that ye resist not evil, but whoever shall smite thee on the right cheek, turn him the other.
So in other words, like, um, you know, when somebody strikes you on the cheek, instead of striking them back, you turn the other cheek.
You don't need to make that person's life hell because he said something about you.
you, okay?
Turn the energy.
You don't need to make that person's life hell because he said something about you.
Who cares?
Or if it's innocent smack or whatever the case.
But I mean, when it comes to an extent, you do have rights to defend yourself.
Don't take this out of context.
You know, I mean, that's not what he's saying You can't defend yourself because people take that too out of context.
You know, I mean, it's amazing They'll take this verse out of context right and say it's okay to take an iron knife or tooth of tooth Then I'll go.
Oh, we're not supposed to hit back because this is what it says here But you read in its context.
It's not what it's saying So if any man will sue thee at the law, and take away thy coat, let him have the cloak also.
So if they're going to sue you for your coat, give them the cloak too.
There you go.
Have a good day.
And whoever shall compel thee to go a mile, go thus twain.
So they compel you to, say, walk a mile with me, or whatever the case.
That means so many different things.
In other words, like, I need you to work in this shop for an hour.
Or a day.
Go with him two days.
You know what I mean?
Work for two hours.
You get the point, right?
Well, they do literally want you to work, walk a mile.
Walk with him for two.
It shows compassion and all that stuff.
It goes a long way.
So give to him to ask thee and from him that would borrow thee and not turn away.
So yeah, if somebody asks for things and you got it, give it to him.
Plain and simple.
And you have heard, it's been said, that I shall love thy neighbor and hate thy enemy.
This is what the old sayings were, not the Bible.
The Bible never said to hate your enemy.
This is just, you're referring once again, and then back to this show, an eye for an eye, a tooth for a tooth, that's what the people said.
The Bible doesn't say that.
The Bible never condoned an eye for an eye, a tooth for a tooth.
He said you heard of the, that has been said.
That's from people, the society, that's what it talks about.
Don't confuse that one, you know, when it brings up the Torah stuff.
And again, you heard that's been said, that's what society thinks, that you shall love your neighbor and hate your enemy.
But I say to you, and then people take this out of context, oh, the Bible says to love your neighbor and hate your enemy.
No, it doesn't say that.
It's the Bible's referring to, once again, referring to a people, society thought, and Jesus says different.
In context, But I say unto you, love your enemies, and bless them that crush you.
Do good to them that hate you, and pray for them, which despitefully use you and persecute you.
So people who hate you, crush you, pray for them, and do good.
And trust me, kindness kills, okay?
Uh, yeah.
Kill these people's kindness.
And yeah, it's a different outcome.
I add this so many times.
When you do good for the person, and they just got them trash talking to you, whatever the case, and you come out and do good for them, they feel that small.
Because, I mean, I just trashed this guy, and here he is doing this for me.
Yeah.
That happens so many times.
But just do it out of the kindness of your heart.
You know what I mean?
And if you make a commitment to do something for somebody, and they talk smack about you, I'm not going to do it.
No, no.
Just do it.
Just do it.
Because that goes such a long way.
It changes people, too.
They're like, oh, my God.
I feel this small.
And it changes them.
It does.
Because if you didn't do that for them, right, or whatever, now they're like, oh, it gives them more reason to hate you.
"The Not that you're obligated to do it, but in some cases you are, whatever.
But if he did it anyway, it's like, yeah, I know what you just said, but who cares?
I'm going to go out there and do that for you anyway.
Actually, I'm going to do it better.
Now the person feels that small, and then, yeah, later on, like, yeah.
Maybe I was a little too harsh on him.
Maybe I was a jerk.
Maybe.
You know what I mean?
Yeah, they don't feel the same about themselves.
And more than likely, they must have a massive ego.
More than likely, they're going to be like, dude, I'm so sorry.
I was a jerk and I admit it.
I was wrong when I said about you.
Yeah, I'm sorry.
And then it's just we start things again.
Reconcile.
That's what the Bible says.
We just got rid of reading it.
Reconcile with the person that disagrees with you.
And it goes a long way.
Dude, that's why there's a reason why he has you do these things.
And even if they don't do that, okay, you feel good about yourself.
Because you know what?
You didn't stoop to that level.
You did what you wanted to do, whatever.
I'm going to say, did what you're obligated to, whatever the case.
And helped them, you know what I mean?
So pray for them, you know, that persecute you and hate you.
And do good for them.
So, verse 45.
That ye may be children of your Father which is in heaven.
That ye may be children of your father which is in heaven.
For he makes his son to rise in the evil on the good.
For he makes his son to rise in the evil and the good.
And sendeth rain on the just and the unjust.
And sendeth rain on the just and the unjust.
So that may be the children of your father.
Be the children of your father which is in heaven.
For he makes the son to rise on the evil too and on the good.
So in other words, what he's saying, right?
Regardless of who's evil, who's doing bad to you, whatever the case.
The sun's going to rise tomorrow.
And it's going to rise for good people and evil people.
Everybody's going to see the sun rise tomorrow.
And when it rains, it's going to rain on the just and the unjust.
For if you love them which love you, what reward do you have?
Do not even the Republicans do the same?
And if he salute your brethren only, what do you more than others?
You not even Republicans do so?
So yeah, it says that if the people love you, yeah, you love them back.
But the people hate you, love them too.
Sleuth is showing respect, right?
In this context, yeah.
So, it's... The people who show you respect, you show them respect back, right?
But the people who don't show you respect, show them respect.
Don't be like the publicans.
Or hypocrites.
So, be therefore perfect, even as your father is in heaven, and who is perfect.
And I know people right off the bat, Oh, how do you be perfect?
How can you be perfect?
It's impossible.
Just try your best.
And the thing is, why do you think Jesus came?
He knows you're not going to be perfect.
You strive to be perfect.
He knows you're going to mess up, you're going to goof up, things are going to come across your thoughts and all that.
Especially as men, you know what I mean?
I'm engaged and all that.
Don't you think, you know, we go to the beach and there's a woman in a G-string bikini.
Don't you think things run through my mind too?
I feel horrible afterwards.
Yeah, absolutely.
But yeah, we all strive to be perfect, but we're gonna goof up.
We're gonna come across stumbling blocks.
That's why Jesus came for us.
To die for our sins.
And, uh, repent means try your best to turn away.
We're gonna stumble.
And every day I'm repentin'.
I'm like, sorry Lord, please help me not to do it again.
You know what I mean?
And, uh, regardless if we do do it again, but it's a repentative heart.
That's what he looks for.
So when you do do something bad, you feel it in the conscious thing.
Crap, I can't believe I'm doing this or I did this.
You know what I mean?
That's called a repentative hop.
You know what I mean?
That's what he looks for.
That's what you need to strive for, you know?
And it does.
When you have something like that, it does cut your sin down.
Big time.
You know what I mean?
And you feel conscious about it.
Like, oh, okay, but I just did that.
You know what I mean?
So you guys get the point, all right?
So what we did is we went through the book of Matthew.
We're up to chapter 5 now, going on chapter 6.
So we'll have a video next week on chapter 6.
And in the future, hopefully the whole book of Matthew will be up available.
But yeah, so what we do is a comprehensive study of the book of Matthew.
And it's amazing.
It really is.
And I just thank you, Heavenly Father, for giving me this knowledge.
Disseminate through me your knowledge through me to everybody watching out there.
Because I've learned, as I've read this so many times, and every time you read it, there's something new that sticks out.
You know what I mean?
That's what you try to do.
I want you to always encourage people to read the Bible for your own.
And you're going to find stuff that we missed.
Yeah, too.
That's going to stick out to you.
You know what I mean?
When something sticks out to you, that's the Holy Spirit pointing.
Because it might relate to something going on in your life.
That's the coolest part of Buffalo thing.
So the Holy Spirit will make something stick out for teaching methods.
Or if there's something similar going on in your life, He'll make it stick out to help you.
And it's amazing how the book works.
It's not like any other book.
There's not one other book in the world that does anything like this.
This is the living world.
It's not just ink on paper. - No.
It's a living word, and that's why it's going to be taught by the Holy Spirit.
So, we're going on almost an hour here, so I want to cut it short, less than an hour.
So, guys, thank you so much, and thank you, Heavenly Father.
And trust the plan, the only plan, and that is only the Bible, nothing else, guys.
Don't take my word or anybody else's word for this.
Read it for yourself.
So, when you get done, read the book of Matthew, chapter 5, for yourself.
