Adventures in HellwQrld - AI Slop, Trump assassination Part 3, Virginia Gov rocks! Aired: 2026-04-29 Duration: 01:05:20 === Arnold Wants to Play Terminator (06:23) === [00:00:30] The Adventures in Hellworld podcast talks in depth about QAnon. [00:00:33] While it's meant to be comedic and informative, sometimes we have to get into things like child abuse and violence against people. [00:00:39] Listener discretion advised. [00:00:42] Hello, everybody. [00:00:43] Welcome to another episode of Adventures in Hellworld. [00:00:45] I am Mike Rains, AKA Poker and Politics. [00:00:48] And this week, I am joined by Eric, the Deep State Operative. [00:00:53] Hi, everyone. [00:00:53] I just want to say at the jump that Mike Rains is the reason why there's so much political violence in this world. [00:01:00] It is. [00:01:00] It's me. [00:01:01] It's entirely my fault. [00:01:02] It's my reckless. [00:01:04] Heated rhetoric that is causing all these things to happen. [00:01:07] It's really bad. [00:01:08] It's not great. [00:01:08] It's suboptimal, even. [00:01:10] So, anyhow, I had a silly little thing to talk about to start the show because everyone loves talking about how AI is going to take over the world and these large language models are conquering all our jobs and all that good stuff. [00:01:26] So, yeah, I saw a documentary about it starring Arnold Schwarzenegger and Michael Bean. [00:01:31] Yes, yes. [00:01:33] I, I, I, Trust me, if you wanted to turn this into a straight Terminator podcast, I would be there for you. [00:01:40] I, boy, howdy, do I have a thing or two to say about that movie, but I'll keep it short. [00:01:45] I think my favorite thing about that movie was because it was like pre internet and pre understanding how you would actually defeat a robot army led by a malevolent AI. [00:02:00] That basically, Michael Bean, basically, Kyle Reese just tells Sarah Connor, Yeah, your son won the war for us. [00:02:07] Sarah doesn't ask how. [00:02:10] Because if she did, Kyle would have just been like, We just won. [00:02:15] I can't explain to you how squishy humans that take nine months to breed and then 16 plus years to develop into a warrior are able to defeat nine invincible robots coming off an assembly line 3,000 a day. [00:02:30] I can't exactly. [00:02:32] We just won. [00:02:35] Just accept it. [00:02:37] Your son gave a great speech, like the Rudy speech or something, and we all just. [00:02:41] Went out there and beat the robots' asses, so just accept it. [00:02:46] So, I've always enjoyed that. [00:02:47] Like, there's no explanation for how humanity was possibly able to beat Skynet, they just did. [00:02:53] There was a video game that I played that came out a few years ago where you play as a guy who ends up joining the resistance and uh and you help John Connor conquer Skynet. [00:03:04] And uh, they don't really get in, I mean, you only see your piece of it so they're getting the full thing, but it looks like what their story was there was this whole um like. [00:03:14] Army of like Terminators marching shoulder to shoulder through California. [00:03:18] And so, because of that, Skynet had lower defenses than normal. [00:03:24] And then during part of the game, you get your hands on some intel that this other guy is able to use to hack into Skynet to reduce the security even farther so that a crack unit is able to sneak in and blow up the server that he's in. [00:03:39] Because again, this is pre Terminator 3 and he's not on the internet. [00:03:43] He's just one big, you know, freaking Univac or something. [00:03:46] Right. [00:03:47] Right, exactly. [00:03:50] And again, like even that, even like the idea of like hacking really wasn't something that was present during original Terminator. [00:03:58] So, all that kind of stuff, it's just really funny. [00:04:01] But don't worry, folks. [00:04:02] Next week will be the Terminator podcast. [00:04:04] We'll dig deep. [00:04:05] All of like, FYI, all of Act Three makes no sense. [00:04:09] Inside the actual internal story of the movie and in reality, it just doesn't work. [00:04:16] When I become famous, like when I become a famous author and a creative visionary, Like, they'll be like, Mike, what do you want to do? [00:04:23] And I'm like, I'm going to rewrite Terminator. [00:04:25] And they'll be like, why? [00:04:26] And I'll just say, because the first movie was great, but it made no sense. [00:04:30] Just give me the pen. [00:04:32] Well, the whole idea I mean, we're talking about a movie where this robot that was designed specifically to infiltrate and blend in was modeled to look like a six foot tall bodybuilder with an accent thicker than Scottish Fog. [00:04:45] Oh, yeah, all of that. [00:04:46] Well, actually, that was basically Cameron like twisted Schwarzenegger's arm into being the Terminator. [00:04:55] It was like really, Arnold had a great story. [00:04:59] Where he was like really getting intense about, yeah, the guy who plays the Terminator is going to have to do this. [00:05:06] Like when they reload a gun, they have to not look at the gun at all because they're a robot and they know how to do it perfectly without even looking at it. [00:05:13] And he's going over all these details. [00:05:15] And Cameron was said, Well, Arnold, you just played the Terminator. [00:05:18] And Arnold said, In Conan, I had 127 lines. [00:05:23] I read the script for this. [00:05:24] The Terminator only has 27 lines in this movie. [00:05:27] I'm not going backwards. [00:05:29] Because he was trying to be Kyle Reese. [00:05:31] He wanted to play the protagonist. [00:05:32] And eventually Cameron was like, look, man, we're going to make this work. [00:05:37] We're going to make you big as the Terminator. [00:05:39] It's going to be okay. [00:05:41] And I've heard a bunch of different versions of that, but they all start off with Schwarzenegger was supposed to be Kyle Reese and then end up being the Terminator. [00:05:49] Because I've heard versions where Arnold was the one pushing to be the bad guy. [00:05:52] And they're like, no, you can't do that. [00:05:54] You're the biggest action hero in the world right now. [00:05:56] That's interesting. [00:05:57] That's really interesting. [00:05:58] Because, I mean, Again, this story I heard was direct from Arnold. [00:06:01] Well, I mean, okay, I never heard any story directly from him, so I guess I will accept straight from the horse's mouth, as it were. [00:06:08] Right, right. [00:06:10] Well, he just wanted more lines. [00:06:12] He wanted a chatty killer robot. [00:06:14] That's all he wanted. [00:06:15] Since we're talking movies, I heard this really cool story from, oh my God, I forgot his name. [00:06:21] The guy, Richter from Total Recall, Ironside, Michael Ironside. [00:06:28] While they were filming Total Recall, they were in Mexico, and his sister was going through chemo. [00:06:33] And so he'd go to a pay phone because this is before cell phones. [00:06:36] So he'd go to a pay phone every day to talk to her to see how she's doing. [00:06:39] And one day, Schwarzinger comes up and asks where he keeps going every day. [00:06:43] So he tells her, so he tells him what's going on. [00:06:46] So Schwarzinger says, Well, come with me. [00:06:48] And he brings Ironside. [00:06:51] I feel like I'm saying his name. [00:06:51] Is it Michael Ironside? [00:06:53] Yeah, it is Michael Ironside. === Nick Jackson's Dumb Rallying Cry (13:32) === [00:06:54] Okay. [00:06:55] I felt like it was wrong for somebody. [00:06:56] Anyway, sorry, I lost track. [00:06:57] So he brings him to his trailer and gets on the mobile phone setup he's got there, calls up Ironside's sister, and starts just like. [00:07:06] Talking over the regimen and going, like, this is what you got to eat. [00:07:09] This is what you got to not eat, everything. [00:07:11] And he said it just totally, you know, changed her health. [00:07:15] She got, she was doing so much better. [00:07:16] She kicked cancer's ass and all that. [00:07:18] And so, and I'm like, okay, so, you know, you hear some stuff about Arnold Schwarzenegger, but he had, you know, I mean, that was a damn good thing that he did right there. [00:07:26] Yeah, that's really cool. [00:07:28] Good on you, Schwarzenegger. [00:07:30] But, uh, I slowly moving back to the point of my story, not that it matters, but. [00:07:38] I mean, we're so off the plot here. [00:07:39] Thank you all for listening. [00:07:41] Five star review. [00:07:41] No. [00:07:44] But so I. Twitter has me basically pegged for like the news I want to see, and its algorithm is pretty solid. [00:07:55] So the algorithm popped up a headline for me, and that headline was Nick Jackson defeats Will Ospreay for the AEW world title. [00:08:07] And if you don't know the pro wrestling, you'd be like, oh. [00:08:10] There's some wrestling, and Mike's into wrestling. [00:08:12] He's a grown man who watches half naked men pretend to hit each other, as you say when you insult wrestling fans. [00:08:19] It's okay. [00:08:20] I'm a big boy. [00:08:20] I can take it. [00:08:22] But the thing about this statement is that none of it is true. [00:08:28] So, in WWE, the other wrestling company, the bigger wrestling company, there's a tag team called the Usos, Jimmy and Jay. [00:08:36] And WWE decided we're going to make Jay Uso a main eventer. [00:08:40] We're going to make him a big ticket guy. [00:08:43] We're going to put the company's backing behind him and let everybody know that Jay Uso is the man. [00:08:50] And this wasn't really working out that well, but they were trying their hardest. [00:08:55] And then one day, Jey Uso started working with the catchphrase Yeet. [00:09:02] All the kids love the Yeet. [00:09:03] Oh, God. [00:09:04] Okay. [00:09:05] Thank you. [00:09:05] Because yesterday I saw somebody wearing a t shirt that said Yeet on it and it had WWE. [00:09:11] And I'm like, what the hell is that? [00:09:13] It's Jey Uso. [00:09:14] And basically, he has music and then he hits the ropes and he does the Yeet gesture and the whole crowd Yeets with him and everyone loves the Yeet. [00:09:23] And they were able to parlay. [00:09:26] This popularity to give him a brief run with the world title, and he's the heat man. [00:09:34] Everyone loves themselves from Jey Uso. [00:09:37] So now we move over to AEW, and the AEW has a tag team called the Young Bucks, which are Nick and Matt Jackson. [00:09:45] And pretty much everyone has said that Nick Jackson, of the two of them, is the better wrestler. [00:09:51] And if he ever decided to leave the tag team and wrestle by himself as a solo wrestler, he could have some success. [00:09:59] The joke is that he needs a dumb catchphrase like Jey Uso to seal the deal. [00:10:05] He's got to have some dumb turn of phrase to really rally the crowd behind him. [00:10:11] And the AEW fans, for whatever reason, had decided that what the dog doing would be what Nick Jackson would say to turn the audience to his side and everyone would love him. [00:10:27] That sounds like something like a 40 something year old. [00:10:30] At Executive Madison Street would make up. [00:10:33] Right, exactly. [00:10:34] So it has become this internet meme of what the dog doing, Nick Jackson. [00:10:40] And there's all these photoshops of him with the AEW World title and all this kind of stuff. [00:10:45] And so this week, Nick and Matt did a backstage vignette on their YouTube channel. [00:10:53] And in that vignette, Nick said, What the dog doing? [00:10:58] And then he rolled it over in his head and he said it again. [00:11:02] And then he looked dead into the camera and said, I think there's something there. [00:11:06] So everyone freaked out. [00:11:08] Everyone started posting all these memes. [00:11:10] Everyone started talking about how he's going to main event the biggest show of the year for AEW, which is called All In, how he's going to win the world title. [00:11:18] And originally everyone thought the Will Ospreay, the other person in that headline, was going to win the world title at All In. [00:11:25] But now everyone's like, oh, Nick Jackson, what the dog doing? [00:11:28] He's going to win the belt. [00:11:29] Oh, he's going to be the champ. [00:11:30] So Twitter's algorithm. [00:11:33] Just sees all this nonsense about Nick Jackson winning the AEW world title and beating Will Ospreay and taking the title shot away from him. [00:11:43] And its limited intelligence tries to make sense of it all. [00:11:49] So it says, Nick Jackson beats Will Ospreay for AEW world title. [00:11:54] And neither one of them are the world champion. [00:11:58] They have not had a match. [00:11:59] None of this is remotely close to being true. [00:12:02] But the algorithm and the AI just got tricked by everyone. [00:12:07] Running with this joke for as much as they did and having it go viral in wrestling Twitter, that the AI just belched this out. [00:12:17] So, we're much unlike humanity under the thumb of Skynet, humanity currently is not in danger of being defeated by the AI anytime soon because the AI doesn't know what's going on and just regurgitates the words it sees from all these people writing stuff online. [00:12:35] And thusly, we get a headline that is 100% inaccurate and not remotely true. [00:12:41] So that was just absolutely like incredible. [00:12:44] Just chef's kiss, the misinformation that was created by that AI. [00:12:48] And I'll Be Back is a much better catchphrase, too, than who let the dogs out, Rotor was, he said. [00:12:55] What the dog doing? [00:12:56] So originally, the meme was some guy is like holding out some mints, and everyone reaches out their hand to grab a mint, and then a paw of a dog reaches in, and the guy goes, What the dog doing? [00:13:11] And then it just fades out. [00:13:13] And that was the original What the dog doing. [00:13:15] And it's now the official, not official catchphrase of a guy who's probably never going to actually use it, but it's very funny. [00:13:26] So that's kind of like in the Fantastic Four movie where Ben Grimm keeps walking around saying that it's clobbering time, it's just from the cartoon. [00:13:36] That's not my actual catchphrase. [00:13:38] And then at the end of the movie, he gives in and says it. [00:13:41] Yeah. [00:13:41] Yeah. [00:13:47] That's awesome. [00:13:48] That's, yeah. [00:13:52] Oh, man. [00:13:53] Okay. [00:13:54] So, nothing interesting happened this week, and I don't know what we're going to talk about. [00:13:57] We're done. [00:13:58] We can wrap it up here. [00:13:59] Yeah. [00:13:59] Yeah. [00:14:00] You guys were here for Terminator and Wrestling. [00:14:02] Yes. [00:14:03] That's what you came for. [00:14:05] You might have wanted to hear about some idiot, like, sort of, kind of, maybe trying to shoot at Trump. [00:14:12] That was a thing that happened. [00:14:16] It's really funny how absolutely no momentum came about from this. [00:14:22] I mean, it's really, it just goes to show you how dug in everybody is about Trump now. [00:14:30] There's like really nothing that's going to move the needle on Donnie at this point. [00:14:35] We've all dealt with, we're on year 10 of dealing with Donald Trump, actually, year 11. [00:14:38] He probably came down the escalator in 2015. [00:14:41] So we're in year 11 of Trump at this point. [00:14:44] We all know what we think. [00:14:46] We're either for him or against him. [00:14:49] And there's no sympathy for him this time. [00:14:53] Because, I mean, at least the first time that he got shot at, he had a cut and there was like some blood and it was dramatic. [00:14:59] Right. [00:15:00] This was. [00:15:00] And it was surprising. [00:15:02] Yeah. [00:15:02] And it was a shock. [00:15:03] Oh my God, someone took a shot at him. [00:15:06] Now it's like, yeah, this guy was like three rooms over and got grabbed by Secret Service before he even got anywhere near him. [00:15:14] And whatever, who cares? [00:15:16] Like, no one was in any danger. [00:15:19] Wolf Blitzer was busy talking about his firefight in NAM. [00:15:25] I mean, just. [00:15:27] There was that one guy who was just sitting there, just continuing his dinner while everyone else was fleeing for their lives. [00:15:33] Yeah, that guy. [00:15:35] You had Stephen Miller using his pregnant wife as a human shield. [00:15:39] Well, from what I've seen, that was actually a photo that just made it look that way from the angle it was taking it. [00:15:46] Oh, yeah, I'm sure of that. [00:15:48] I saw a video that the. [00:15:51] That the picture came from, and he is clearly hurting her away from what he perceives to be danger. [00:15:57] But, but, but I've all, but I've also seen video of uh RFK Jr. Saying, fuck this, I'm out of here. [00:16:04] And his wife being like, hey, come back, Bob. [00:16:10] Yeah, yeah, exactly. [00:16:15] Yeah. [00:16:17] Oh, yeah. [00:16:19] I've lost what I was going to say, so you go on. [00:16:24] But the thing that was so galling about it, I mean, the thing that's, it's just one of those, you just go on the online and literally, Everyone is just, oh my lord, just no one's being remotely open minded. [00:16:46] No one's being objective. [00:16:48] No one's talking about this. [00:16:51] Either it's staged or proof that you need a ballroom. [00:16:54] That's the only two opinions I've seen so far. [00:16:57] Well, there's an adjunct to needing a ballroom, which is we need a ballroom and we also need to kill all the liberals. [00:17:05] I mean, yes. [00:17:06] The only way to stop the violence is with violence. [00:17:08] The only way to stop. [00:17:10] The liberal has proven themselves to be a violent savage that cannot exist in a civilized world. [00:17:19] So we need to put all the liberals to the sword. [00:17:23] And that is how we're going to fix all of this. [00:17:29] Once we've killed all the liberals, then we will have peace and prosperity. [00:17:33] And we will have a new ballroom. [00:17:36] I just. [00:17:37] It kills me though, the shift that we went from liberals, liberals are a fear to guns to we got to take the guns away from liberals. [00:17:46] Yeah. [00:17:46] Oh, yeah. [00:17:47] Yeah. [00:17:47] All of that. [00:17:48] I mean, it's, it's just, it's truly incredible that we've, that this is the dichotomy is that liberals are like violent, murderous scum who are also cringe, normie, panty wash, panty wash shit libs who will. [00:18:12] Power at the sight of like violence. [00:18:16] Like, the whole existence of the liberal is timid fear. [00:18:24] I see all these videos and tweets and stuff about how the women are so easily manipulated because they will do anything for safety. [00:18:33] The woman is a stupid creature that will do anything for safety. [00:18:37] She will sell us out so fast. [00:18:39] And then when the misogyny wasn't enough, they decided to just make it. [00:18:43] The liberal, just the liberal will sell us out for safety. [00:18:47] They will do anything because the liberal, if it is a male, is weak and pathetic. [00:18:52] And if it's a woman, women are naturally just smaller and weaker than dudes. [00:18:56] So they'll, if you sell them a bill of goods about how you'll protect them, they'll vote for you and then you can steal all their rights and all that happy horse shit. [00:19:04] It's just whatever you need to say to say the people that vote Democrat are stupid and bad and I hate them. [00:19:10] It's just, yep, great. [00:19:12] I mean, it's gotten way worse than just stupid and bad. [00:19:15] It's like they're, That people who vote Democrat are demonic, baby eating, Satan worshiping, you know, crack smokers who hate life, hate you, and will murder you the second you turn your back on them. [00:19:29] Oh, yes, exactly. [00:19:30] Oh, that is my favorite thing about all of this just the idea that some guy making a run at Trump is actually evidence that. [00:19:46] Liberals writ large wish to kill conservatives writ large. [00:19:52] Uh, my boy Jacob, who I'm always reposting, uh, clandestine, the guy that uh had a mental breakdown and God told him that Trump would not leave office after losing to Biden while having sex with a woman, uh, that he stopped having sex with her when she was like, Hey, wait a minute, I like the idea that the sex was so weak that she was like, Wait a minute, did you vote for Trump? [00:20:15] Like, I just, uh, buddy, buddy, you're you need to if she's thinking about that in the moment, uh, what are you gonna do? [00:20:24] That's lie back and think of England kind of stuff right there. === Jacob Survives Liberal Assaults Daily (02:06) === [00:20:26] Yes. [00:20:27] What are we doing? [00:20:28] I mean, oh my God. [00:20:30] So, anyhow, our boy Jacob wrote Well, unsurprisingly, the shooter is a deranged left wing lunatic from California. [00:20:37] So, this story will disappear rather quickly. [00:20:40] It also feels like people have become desensitized to the insanity. [00:20:43] We have just accepted that left wingers are violent psychos trying to kill us. [00:20:48] It's like, who's trying to kill you, Jacob? [00:20:51] Jacob lives in Virginia, the state we're going to talk about a little bit later. [00:20:56] Virginia just absolutely crackling with liberals. [00:21:00] Jacob has doxxed himself, he's posted his photo of himself online. [00:21:03] So I don't know how Jacob makes it to and from his house about being just assaulted day and night by the crazed liberals of Virginia yearning for conservative blood. [00:21:16] I mean, it's just so silly. [00:21:18] These people are so desperate to be victims. [00:21:21] Same way, I've lived in a city that's a constant hail of gunfire for 47 years and haven't even been shot yet. [00:21:29] Yeah. [00:21:30] No, Chicago, the most hated lib sanctuary city of them all. [00:21:36] Yes, exactly. [00:21:38] Right. [00:21:40] Yeah. [00:21:40] Your crime ridden city. [00:21:43] I, I've, and that's the thing that's really funny I live in very boring areas. [00:21:48] And I, a million years ago, I got robbed when I was the cashier at a store 24. [00:21:55] That's a callback for Bostonians. [00:21:57] I don't even know if store 24 is still in business anymore, but yeah. [00:22:02] They caught the lady very quickly. [00:22:04] It was no must, no fuss, because again, there's no crime in my area. [00:22:08] So when there is crime, the cops were like, holy shit, we got to have to work. [00:22:11] This is exciting. [00:22:13] And I got robbed in Las Vegas also once. [00:22:17] That was very exciting, which that's Vegas. [00:22:19] That's Vegas, baby. [00:22:20] That's what happens. [00:22:21] I say, Vegas, I mean, that makes more sense because, I mean, that's just, you know, you could probably hold the gun to somebody and somebody three feet away wouldn't be able to see it from the press of humanity around you. === Vegas Robbery Feels Excitingly Real (15:14) === [00:22:33] Oh, yeah. [00:22:33] Yeah. [00:22:34] I mean, it's a, it, Vegas is like, it's a different world. [00:22:40] It's a very interesting, it's a very interesting place. [00:22:46] You have to just rewire your brain when you're in Vegas because it's a ton of foot traffic and everyone's a goddamn tourist. [00:22:58] So you have to deal with that. [00:23:00] Like, everyone's a tourist. [00:23:02] No one's a local. [00:23:03] The locals all hate being locals, which I was that was like my the funniest thing about being in Vegas for me was just the amount of people you'd meet. [00:23:11] They're like, Oh God, I can't wait to get out of here. [00:23:13] And it's like, Why? [00:23:14] What's wrong with this place? [00:23:15] And they're like, Ah, it sucks. [00:23:17] There's this just massive amount of negativity from people that are there, which I don't get because I enjoyed my time in Vegas. [00:23:24] But, um, this is where we're at with our boy Donnie. [00:23:31] Just anyone who's against him is going to tell you this stupid thing was staged. [00:23:36] Everyone who's for him will tell you that his enemies are devil loving, blood drinking monsters. [00:23:45] Who I mean, a re education camp is really mild. [00:23:49] I mean, they were like, yeah, re education camp. [00:23:52] And that's the merciful option. [00:23:56] I mean, the less merciful options are obviously the fact that we just need to go away. [00:24:06] America will only be made, it will only be purified by the blood of the liberal. [00:24:12] And it's just that mentality where everyone's always talking about, oh, we got to take down the temperature. [00:24:21] Oh, we got to. [00:24:22] And it's. [00:24:23] Buddy, buddy, buddy, the people that have been raising the temperature this whole time are not the libs. [00:24:29] It's not the Democrats who are doing this. [00:24:31] The people that are keeping the temperature nice and piping hot are Donald Trump and his minions. [00:24:38] I mean, Donald Trump constantly signal boosts and promotes QAnon. [00:24:43] The entire existence of QAnon is that liberals are monsters. [00:24:46] He said, I'm glad Robert Mueller is dead. [00:24:50] I'm glad Robert Mueller died. [00:24:52] Rob Reiner probably died because his kid murdered him because he hated me too much. [00:24:58] Yeah. [00:24:59] Just but yeah, but libs are the problem. [00:25:02] Yep, libs are the problem. [00:25:04] That's it. [00:25:04] It's the it's all projection, it's all projection, it's all just blaming your enemies for the actions you commit. [00:25:15] You heard about the uh the Jimmy Kimmel thing? [00:25:17] Oh, yeah, yeah, yeah. [00:25:18] Melania and Donnie are now attacking Jimmy Kimmel, yeah, yeah. [00:25:23] Because it's, I just these guys are like you know, they'll they'll sit there and Say whatever they want about anybody, they'll be like, How come they say mean things about me? [00:25:33] It's not fair. [00:25:36] Oh, yeah. [00:25:37] Well, that's what that is again the hypocrisy of all of this, the never ending hypocrisy of all of this is that uh, Trump and Vance had the meme of the pro peace ticket and that stuff. [00:26:00] In 2024, what was one of the big arguments that Trump and all of his surrogates were talking about was free speech. [00:26:08] How we're being censored. [00:26:11] Democrats are trying to take away your voice on the internet. [00:26:15] They're trying to silence you. [00:26:17] They're not letting you say what you want. [00:26:19] The media censorship is rampant. [00:26:21] You have to elect Trump in order to make sure that your voice will still be allowed to speak in the digital era. [00:26:30] And now Trump's like, fire everyone who says anything bad about me. [00:26:35] If you talk about me and it's not praiseworthy, then you need to be deplatformed immediately. [00:26:43] So it's again, the pro peace, pro free speech ticket is now, I mean, we're now, I don't know what, like month two of the war in Iran. [00:26:53] The three week war in Iran. [00:26:55] The three week special military operation in Iran. [00:26:58] Yeah. [00:26:59] I mean, this is, you know, these guys spent, Eight years claiming that Obama was a socialist Muslim from Kenya. [00:27:09] But, you know, but we, but, but if, and that's okay because he's exercising his free speech. [00:27:15] But if we say, but if we say anything about Trump, well, that's an attack on America itself. [00:27:19] He's, he, you can't, you can't say bad things about the leader of our country when he's white and on my side. [00:27:26] Yeah. [00:27:30] Exactly. [00:27:31] Exactly. [00:27:33] These are very important things. [00:27:35] Um, Yeah. [00:27:38] It's just, oh, yeah. [00:27:40] I retweeted this post from Mike Davis where he's like, Obama's most deceptive, divisive, and destructive person in modern history. [00:27:47] He's a Marxist. [00:27:48] He hates America and the West. [00:27:50] Just, I just love the fact that Democrat is bad and hates freedom and liberty and mom, the flag, and apple pie. [00:28:00] They're mean baddies who are bad and mean. [00:28:06] It's just, and then, uh, and the buzzwords like, I'm trying to remember exactly what it was, but, uh, somebody asked, uh, Rick Scott, aka Skeletor, about, um, About, you know, about like anti Trump sentiments. [00:28:21] And he's like, well, that's just Trump derangement syndrome. [00:28:24] And it's just that's what they do they just belch out buzzwords and thought terminating cliches because they know the base will eat it up because they like those nice, zippy little, you know, phrases that are that you can spit out and they mean whatever you want them to mean at that moment. [00:28:42] There's, I love the phrase thought terminating cliche. [00:28:47] It's one of my favorite things in our world. [00:28:51] That is, it's something that I've said and heard a million times, and it's a very true statement. [00:28:57] It's what these people do, just these dumb cliches you just throw at somebody, and that's it. [00:29:04] It is of itself. [00:29:06] The conversation has ended. [00:29:08] Trust the plan. [00:29:10] What does that even mean? [00:29:11] Shut up and trust the plan. [00:29:16] Zoran has spoken. [00:29:17] I mean, it's just the edict has been laid down. [00:29:19] We're done here. [00:29:21] Conversation over. [00:29:22] And that's what these people do. [00:29:25] It's just hatred, hatred, hatred, script, script, script. [00:29:30] Which, speaking of scripts, what a smooth segue. [00:29:33] What an incredible transition by me. [00:29:38] Right after Trump gets shot at, or kind of sort of maybe shot at, all the right wing lunatics are out there screaming, This is why we need to finish the ballroom. [00:29:49] This totally, I mean, who cares? [00:29:53] Who cares about the ballroom? [00:29:55] Why is the ballroom your big payoff from this pathetic attempt on Trump's life? [00:30:02] What are we even doing here? [00:30:04] How does your mind turn from an attack on the president to, well, now the president needs to get his ballroom built? [00:30:15] What is this? [00:30:16] What are we doing here? [00:30:19] It's so strange that after Charlie Kirk got. [00:30:23] Uh, killed these right wingers were screaming and yelling about how you needed to vote Republican in all the special elections, or else Charlie died for nothing. [00:30:35] And then the Republicans all got dog walked in the special elections, and these people were like, I can't believe Charlie died for nothing. [00:30:42] I mean, they really wanted to wave that bloody shirt at us for as long as they possibly could about Charlie getting killed. [00:30:48] But now, this time, they have an attack on the president, and it's not, hey, like. [00:30:55] Vote and bring a friend, or it's time to rally around the flag and win these midterms. [00:30:59] It's let's get this ballroom finished, everybody. [00:31:03] Let's let's give the Trump his ballroom like that's just that's the big victory they want from this attack is a ballroom in the White House. [00:31:14] I saw one of the it was staged people claim that the reason why for the assassination attempt was to get the ball rolling on the ballroom, and I'm like, really. [00:31:24] You think he hired someone to pretend to shoot at him and then die for it so that he could get his ballroom? [00:31:33] I mean, I like, I'm, you know, I'm willing to believe just about anything from Trump, but I just, what? [00:31:41] Just, I don't, I don't think even he would go to that depth for a ballroom. [00:31:49] Right. [00:31:50] It's just, yeah. [00:31:52] The man's put no effort into anything in his life. [00:31:56] Why would he go to the mat for his ballroom like this? [00:31:59] Just, and how did he hire, and how did he hire a, a, A Democrat voting California teacher of all people. [00:32:10] Yeah. [00:32:11] It's so silly. [00:32:13] So silly. [00:32:15] There's, there's, but again, like, there's no, there's never any actual effort to create logic in these situations. [00:32:23] There's never any, like, this is the coherent, cogent, logical reason why this is a thing that happened. [00:32:34] Yeah. [00:32:34] They don't do that. [00:32:35] Well, I mean, and Stephanie couldn't make it today, but I'll say something that I've heard her say on here before, where when she was talking about how she got a. [00:32:44] She was talking to someone on the phone and they mentioned a school shooting, and she knew, and this is the first she'd heard of it, and her immediate response was, that was a false flag. [00:32:54] So that's what I saw on Twitter. [00:32:56] It was like, we heard that there were shots fired at the dinner, and people immediately were saying, oh, it was staged. [00:33:02] It was another fake attempt. [00:33:04] And I'm like, you don't. [00:33:05] You know, the guy's still bleeding out on the floor, and you're already calling it staged. [00:33:11] Yeah, exactly. [00:33:12] Yeah, that is just that thing that nobody wants to actually deal with reality anymore, either side. [00:33:24] And I want to make this abundantly clear the left is nowhere near as bad as the right on all of this shit. [00:33:29] Like, don't ever say that. [00:33:31] But it is this thing where you are going to be. [00:33:37] Hearing some bad news or some bad thing happened, and the immediate reaction is going to be to just discredit it. [00:33:43] Just say, no, the bad thing that happened didn't really happen because the well has been poisoned by QAnon, by MAGA, by all these people. [00:33:55] That literally the only way we are supposed to view everything in our world is through the prism of politics, which means through the prism of is this good or bad for Donald Trump? [00:34:08] That's it. [00:34:09] Just everything we do is just, did this benefit Trump or did this hurt Trump? [00:34:16] And if it benefited Trump, liberals are going to say it's bullshit. [00:34:21] And if it hurt Trump, conservatives are going to say it's bullshit. [00:34:25] So we're just stuck in this endless loop where you're not going to look at the facts on the ground. [00:34:31] You're not going to look at what actually happened and make a judgment call based on evidence, based on. [00:34:41] The facts of the situation, you're just going to say, Oh, this was bad for Trump. [00:34:45] Well, fucking liberals did this. [00:34:47] It's bullshit. [00:34:48] It's fake. [00:34:49] It's a lie. [00:34:50] That's just the way this is. [00:34:52] And it's really, it's a very unhealthy way to live your life because you're not dealing in reality. [00:35:04] You're just dealing with what you want to believe is true. [00:35:08] And that's how you put yourself into an echo chamber. [00:35:11] That's how you start believing disinformation. [00:35:14] That's how you. [00:35:16] Stop. [00:35:19] We stop having a shared reality if you do this shit. [00:35:21] So it sucks. [00:35:24] It's really bad. [00:35:25] And these assassination attempts were not staged. [00:35:29] They were not fucking bullshit. [00:35:33] The one in Butler had the shooter and a spectator die. [00:35:37] Yeah. [00:35:37] This one in California, this one at the press event, the guy got grabbed. [00:35:42] He just got taken into custody. [00:35:44] I don't think he got shot. [00:35:47] I thought I heard the guy died, but I also heard that. [00:35:50] That was at the start. [00:35:53] But there's footage of him now just shirtless laying on the ground as they were. [00:35:56] Yeah, I saw that. [00:35:57] I. [00:35:57] But, and then I thought I heard that a Secret Service agent got hit in the vest by a bullet, but that might have happened. [00:36:04] Yeah. [00:36:04] Yeah. [00:36:06] Which, you know, it sucks, but I'm glad the guy didn't get, you know, the guy survived it. [00:36:11] Yes. [00:36:13] But, but yeah, this, ever since the shooting in Butler, I've been saying it's just, this is a good reminder that conspiracy theories are not a right wing thing. [00:36:23] They, anybody can believe in, promote, fall for, You know, subscribe to a conspiracy theory. [00:36:31] It's a, and, and I, and I submit that claiming that you're too smart to fall for one is just opens you up to, to be even more susceptible because, because you've convinced yourself that you're infallible and that if you believe something, it has to be true. [00:36:47] Yeah. [00:36:47] That's one of the, that's one of the big things is that you, you set yourself up where there's no way I could fall for it because I would see it coming. [00:36:58] And, The thing about that that makes it so funny is that a lot of times you thought you would have seen it coming, but you didn't. [00:37:08] I think my favorite version of that is my boy, Martin Geddes, who is a deeply pilled QAnon believer and promoter. [00:37:20] And he was raised Jehovah's Witness. [00:37:25] And he has very often stated that. [00:37:30] QAnon is not a cult and he's not in a cult because he would know because he grew up Jehovah's Witness and he got out of it. [00:37:38] And there's no way that he would fall into a cult again. [00:37:44] And it's like, well, guess what, Martin? [00:37:46] You did. === Martin Geddes and Jehovah Trap (16:03) === [00:37:47] You are in a cult again. [00:37:50] You done got got. [00:37:51] You got hoodwinked. [00:37:52] So, yeah, it's just that thing where there's no way I could fall for that trap. [00:38:00] And then you fall for the trap. [00:38:02] But because you couldn't fall for the trap, you won't admit it. [00:38:04] You won't acknowledge what's happening. [00:38:08] And that makes it that much harder for you to get out because you won't even admit you're in. [00:38:13] Like someone's like, hey, Eric, your leg's in a bear trap. [00:38:16] You're like, there's no way my leg would be in a bear trap. [00:38:18] I would know if my leg was in a bear trap. [00:38:21] My leg has been in a trap before. [00:38:23] I would recognize it. [00:38:25] I would recognize if my leg was in a trap. [00:38:26] Exactly. [00:38:27] Exactly. [00:38:29] That's the way this works. [00:38:31] I think it's. [00:38:32] And I mean, calling the whole Jehovah's Witnesses a cult is kind of questionable in itself. [00:38:37] I mean, not that I'm trying to defend Jehovah's Witnesses or what they believe in, but I don't know if they really fall into the level of cult behavior. [00:38:46] Ah, I think they just recently said you're allowed to have blood transfusions, which, man, congratulations to all of you who died to that belief all those years. [00:38:56] I mean, I don't know too much about them, but I mean, the main thing I know about Jehovah's Witnesses is that they don't celebrate any. [00:39:03] Any kind of, they don't celebrate anything really, not even birthdays. [00:39:06] Well, yeah, no birthdays, no birthdays, no Christmas, nothing, none of that. [00:39:10] No, no, the Jehovah's Witnesses, the no fun religion. [00:39:18] Yeah, them and the, uh, them and the, uh, the Puritans. [00:39:24] Oh, yeah. [00:39:25] I mentioned this to you offline in our group chat that, like, I had a guy yelling at me about Protestantism sucking and Calvinism. [00:39:40] And then when I got to open him up, he was like, Eastern Orthodox. [00:39:48] And I was like, I love it. [00:39:49] I love the idea. [00:39:51] Like, just the whole idea that. [00:39:54] Being a Christian isn't good enough. [00:39:56] You have to pick the right sect of Christianity or you're still screwed. [00:40:00] It's like, man. [00:40:03] Oh, yeah. [00:40:03] Oh, they are big on that. [00:40:04] I remember there's this town. [00:40:09] I think it might be in DuPage County, but either way, it's called Wheaton. [00:40:13] And it's actually pretty well known because Wheaton College is like the premier Christian college, like a university in the country. [00:40:22] Like, I think, like, I'm blanking on Franklin Graham, his father, went there. [00:40:30] And stuff. [00:40:30] But anyway, I was there one time because a friend of mine was doing a play out there, and I got there early. [00:40:37] So I'm walking around through their little downtown area, just killing time. [00:40:42] And I walked past this bookshop, and right in the window is this book. [00:40:47] And the title was like, The Catholics Can They Be Saved Before Judgment Day? [00:40:57] No. [00:41:03] And it is just, and it's just, it is this whole thing like evangelical, a lot of Protestants, evangelical Christians, they think that Catholics aren't really, aren't really Christian. [00:41:12] They're, they're, like, they're pretending. [00:41:14] Like, there was this, uh, have you ever heard of chick tracts? [00:41:17] Yes. [00:41:18] Oh, yeah. [00:41:18] Oh, I'm, I love myself some chick tracts. [00:41:21] I love myself some jack chick. [00:41:23] For those who don't know, uh, they were the, it used to be if you, if you lived in a metropolitan area like I do and you went downtown, there'd be these guys handing out these tiny little pamphlets that kind of looked like what you would get, like, in a cracker jack box back in the day. [00:41:36] And it would have some kind of religious message in it, like, you know, repent now because the doomsday is next Thursday or something like that. [00:41:44] And Jack Chick was like the most prolific of those, he made hundreds of these little things. [00:41:49] And they were all these horribly researched uh screeds about like anything that wasn't basically his particular brand of evangelical Christianity. [00:41:59] He had one about how Dungeons and Dragons is secretly satanic, uh, which you know, anyone who remembers the Satanic Panic knows that very well. [00:42:06] There was one about how uh, You know, they're talking about like Buddhists and how they all believe that if you live a good life, then you'll be reincarnated as a rich man, which is not how reincarnation works at all. [00:42:19] But anyway, he had this one where he was claiming that Catholicism is actually an ancient Egyptian sect. [00:42:27] And like his proof was stuff that, on the host, on the communion wafers, it has the letters IHS, which he claims stands for Isis, Horus, and Set, which. [00:42:39] Is completely bonkers because, for one, Set is evil in Egyptian mythology and he killed Isis's husband. [00:42:47] So, why would they be palling around together? [00:42:50] Oh, it's all kayfabe. [00:42:52] The Egyptian gods are like WWE. [00:42:55] They all go to the bar after the big match. [00:42:58] Sorry, I killed your husband. [00:43:00] It's the game. [00:43:01] We're all bros here. [00:43:07] And for anyone wondering, The IHS actually refers to Jesus. [00:43:12] It's a Latin thing about, like, I don't remember exactly, but Jesus is the Savior kind of thing. [00:43:18] Right, right. [00:43:19] Because in Latin, Jesus was spelled with an I. Yup. [00:43:25] Oh, God. [00:43:26] Yeah. [00:43:28] But the chick tracks, even if you don't know them, you know them because they're ubiquitous. [00:43:32] They've been all over social media. [00:43:36] Especially if you're a Gen Xer or older and you actually remember when those things were being passed out all the time. [00:43:42] Yeah. [00:43:46] I think the most famous one from the photo is the guy yelling, and then the caption is, they hated Jesus because he told the truth. [00:43:55] And it's like, yeah. [00:43:59] But man, that is. [00:44:01] I was not expecting trick tracks, but I am here for it. [00:44:05] Those things are. [00:44:08] I remember back when I. [00:44:12] So it was really funny because when I got on the internet, I was probably a bit older than most people that were getting into Reddit, not Reddit, YouTube atheism. [00:44:24] And I remember Hugo and Jake were the. [00:44:29] The one of the two Reddit atheists I was following, I believe Hugo transitioned. [00:44:35] I forget her name now and I apologize. [00:44:38] But they would read chick tracks, they would do that kind of stuff. [00:44:43] That was a kind of a thing that was really fun for them. [00:44:45] And there were a bunch of other atheists that I was following at that time. [00:44:50] And then so many of them got into Gamergate. [00:44:53] And it was just like, oh man, what the fuck? [00:44:57] It was just so weird. [00:44:58] I'd be like, okay, time to watch my. [00:45:00] Favorite atheist dunk on some Christians and click on them, and they'd be like, You know, God sucks. [00:45:06] You know who sucks even more than God? [00:45:09] Anita Sarkeesian. [00:45:11] I'd be like, What the fuck? [00:45:12] What are we doing? [00:45:13] No, no, stay on the God thing. [00:45:17] And it's just, it was just, I guess that gamer engagement was just too much. [00:45:22] People just couldn't resist it. [00:45:24] It was just so wild. [00:45:25] Yeah, just you need your shekels, man. [00:45:28] Yeah, it was just so strange. [00:45:30] It was just sitting there. [00:45:32] Like, come on, give me my dopamine hit. [00:45:34] Let's dunk on creationism or the arc today. [00:45:37] I want it. [00:45:38] And they're like, nope, it's time to talk about how this woman's ruined gaming for all of us dudes. [00:45:44] And I was, it was like, man, this is wild. [00:45:50] This is where we're at now. [00:45:51] Okay, I guess. [00:45:52] Well, so yeah. [00:45:54] That's funny. [00:45:54] I've been playing video games since I was a little boy, but I've never really cared much for any kind of online gaming community or anything. [00:46:02] I'm Just straightforward, you know, single player games. [00:46:06] So I paid, I didn't know anything about Gamergate at all until it had already blown up and people were taking sides and, you know, families were splitting apart over and everything. [00:46:16] And then I finally found out, I'm like, this is all about, this is all about a bunch of incels being pissed off that girls play video games too. [00:46:23] That's all this was. [00:46:26] Yeah. [00:46:27] And that literally there were like a few women that were like careers were ruined over this. [00:46:31] Right. [00:46:31] And there was a woman who was just like, can we get, A body type for a female character other than skinny waist, big boobs? [00:46:40] Can there be female characters in video games who are not just a perfect 10 sexually across the board always? [00:46:49] And some game developers have apparently listened to that because every now and then I'll see some crybaby be like, This girl in this video game isn't hot enough for me. [00:46:59] And I'm like, Dude, there's a million and a half you can pick from. [00:47:03] Every single woman you see doesn't have to give you a boner. [00:47:07] Yeah. [00:47:09] Every fancy woman needs to be smoking hot or I will be mad. [00:47:14] Like, why? [00:47:15] Why do you care? [00:47:17] What is wrong with you? [00:47:18] Yeah. [00:47:18] I saw a guy complaining about Siri in Witcher. [00:47:21] I'm like, The Witcher? [00:47:22] You mean a game where the main character sleeps with every third woman he meets? [00:47:26] Yeah. [00:47:28] If you walk into Geralt's field of vision, he's probably going to have sex with you. [00:47:32] I mean, it's like, you're upset that that game has one woman that isn't spankbait? [00:47:36] I mean, come on. [00:47:39] Oh, boy. [00:47:40] Yeah. [00:47:41] It's wild. [00:47:42] It's wild that this goes back to the whole thing about the victim mentality, about how we poor put upon conservatives. [00:47:51] We have to deal with you liberals trying to kill us at all times. [00:47:56] We have to deal with unfuckable video game ladies. [00:47:59] I mean, just how can we deal? [00:48:02] How can we coexist in a society where anyone of a dusky hue probably wants to put me to the sword just because I just want to make America great again? [00:48:15] Why are you so mean to me? [00:48:18] And then I get home and I play my video game and. [00:48:23] Aloy has stubble, and it's just like this is unacceptable. [00:48:27] It's like, and I mean, in if you if you played the if you played Forbidden West, Aloy's wearing some ridiculously revealing outfits. [00:48:37] I'm sorry, I'm sorry they didn't make her a perfect 10 for you. [00:48:41] She's only a 9.8, you poor thing. [00:48:45] Oh my god, it's just so funny how ridiculously butthurt all these people are, and how the whole world has to revolve around them, or it's just not fair. [00:48:57] I think this victimhood too is part of how Donald Trump wormed his way in because I've said this for a long time that I think Republicans prefer it when they're the minority party because they love presenting themselves as the plucky underdog fighting against the big mean liberal. [00:49:14] And when they're in power, they're like, well, who am I supposed to stand up to now? [00:49:18] I'm the man. [00:49:19] I can't stick it to the man if I am. [00:49:23] And then Trump comes along and he's like, I will show you how to be the most powerful human being in the world and still claim victimhood 24 7. [00:49:33] Exactly. [00:49:34] Exactly. [00:49:34] Oh, God. [00:49:39] It's like anybody who writes a story that is not completely, like, you know, slaveringly flattering to him is fake news, very unfair, has horrible ratings. [00:49:51] Everybody hates you, and I'm glad you're dead. [00:49:54] Yes. [00:49:55] Yeah. [00:49:57] Hey, Rob Reiner, maybe you would have lived if you weren't so mean to me. [00:50:00] Maybe your kid wouldn't have killed you because I just. [00:50:05] Oh my God, these people, these absolutely ridiculous people. [00:50:07] I know that's the other thing. [00:50:08] He's not only the eternal victim, but he has to center himself in everything. [00:50:12] Brian Brandner's death was about him. [00:50:15] Uh, yeah, I saw him make Mother's Day about himself in a tweet once. [00:50:18] It's just, it's pathological. [00:50:21] Yeah. [00:50:25] Uh, what was I gonna say? [00:50:26] Yeah, it's uh, it's the old quote about Theodore Roosevelt uh, the bride at every wedding, the child at every christening, the corpse at every funeral. [00:50:34] Just that's that's what he wants to be. [00:50:38] Yeah, it's one way to live. [00:50:41] Yeah, it's, yep, that's it. [00:50:45] Oh boy. [00:50:46] Yep, it's really magical. [00:50:47] It's truly magical that this is where we're at. [00:50:50] So, speaking of magical things, the Virginia gerrymander is now heading up to the Supreme Court. [00:50:59] I've heard, I've heard like the fact that apparently it was supposed to be like passed by two separate. [00:51:06] Congresses in Virginia. [00:51:08] So there's like, there is a mechanism for striking it down, but we will see what the Virginia Supreme Court does. [00:51:14] The district court where the gerrymander bill originated from said, totally cool. [00:51:19] So, yeah, this whole thing is moving, making its way through the courts as one does. [00:51:29] And this has led our boy DeSantis, failed presidential candidate, Ron DeSantis. [00:51:37] He's now trying to jam through an illegal map in Florida. [00:51:41] And everyone has said, buddy, like this actually won't work because Florida has a lot of rules about this shit. [00:51:48] So, and the other thing is, is that if it does work, maybe it's going to backfire because if you've been looking at all like the polling about Hispanics and everything, it's getting pretty dicey for the Republican Party out there because it turns out that, yeah, it turns out that you can't be quote unquote one of the good ones. [00:52:11] They're just grabbing everybody and slamming them in the back of vans. [00:52:15] So, No matter how you voted, it doesn't matter. [00:52:19] They pull out the family guy skin chart. [00:52:22] And if you're not Lily White, boom, you were sending you somewhere. [00:52:28] And shockingly, this has earned the disapproval of non whites. [00:52:31] Weirdly, strangely. [00:52:33] Yeah, don't they know who their betters are? [00:52:36] Yeah. [00:52:37] How dare you? [00:52:38] How dare you? [00:52:41] It really blows my mind the way these people deal with these things. [00:52:48] Uh, like I just you'll see the videos of some family, someone gets someone who's been in America for like 30 years gets grabbed by ICE and it's total. [00:52:57] And it's like they came here when they were five, what the like their parents brought them over. [00:53:03] And then I'll just see all these QAnon supporters being like, sucks, but they all gotta go. [00:53:09] And it's just you, you, you think this is a winning message in the midterms to the voters is. [00:53:18] Yeah, I'm sorry that 45 year old lady got grabbed and is now being sent to her home country, which is not her home country because she was there when she was like eight years old. [00:53:28] And she has like three children in America who've now lost their mom. [00:53:32] But they all got to go. [00:53:33] So, yeah, it's like, okay, great, buddy. [00:53:37] But again, these people, because we don't have a shared reality, because no one's living in the real world anymore, everyone in QAnon believes that America is just this rock rib, blood red, Republican loving nation. === Virginia Governorship Mind Games (08:06) === [00:53:51] And the Democrats might get 20 to 25% of the vote from the freaks and weirdos out there. [00:53:57] But then the remaining vote they need to win the election is secured by election fraud. [00:54:02] And that's the only way we ever lose because nothing, nothing can sway the American people from their love of Republicans. [00:54:09] Not the deportation of family members, not gas rising to astronomical levels, not like a recession that is economically devastating. [00:54:20] No, we love Trump and Republicans and we would still vote for them. [00:54:24] Gosh darn, Democrats just cheat too hard. [00:54:27] Oh, fiddlesticks. [00:54:31] Yeah. [00:54:32] But moving back to Virginia for the moment. [00:54:35] So that happened. [00:54:38] And then Spanberger has done the liberalism. [00:54:43] Like all this. [00:54:46] She basically campaigned as like a Normie Dem. [00:54:50] And then she won. [00:54:51] And she's like passed like a minimum wage hike, I believe. [00:54:54] And I know she's passed a. [00:54:57] A maternity leave bill that's going to be that's going to like kick into effect in 2029 because you need years to get the money stored up for the maternity bill and all that good stuff. [00:55:08] And I've seen people, um, yeah, uh, so this is the one it was, uh, they signed a bill for workers being able to sue their bosses for wage theft. [00:55:23] And oh, yeah, I saw a shitstorm about that one, yeah. [00:55:26] And that one, well, that one led to this unbelievably ridiculous. [00:55:29] Post from someone who said, Oh, those internal polls must be devastating. [00:55:33] And then she replied to herself and said, She's ex CIA and has been what most Americans call a centrist for most of her career. [00:55:41] For her so strongly to side with workers over capitalists like this, she would either need to have a huge change of heart or perceive it politically necessary, which seems more likely. [00:55:50] And as people pointed out to this smooth brained cretin, you can't run for reelection as governor of Virginia. [00:55:58] Governor of Virginia is a very weird thing where You can serve multiple terms, but they cannot be consecutive. [00:56:05] So once you get in, you're immediately a lame duck. [00:56:09] And this is why the media loves the Virginia governor's race as a sort of political bellwether for what's going on in America after the presidential election. [00:56:20] Because the presidential election happens, and then one year later, you have an open seat governorship in Virginia. [00:56:28] And after Biden won in 2020, You had Glenn Youngkin win in 2021 as the governor of Virginia, and everyone's like, Oh, the Republican Party after MAGA, we have a new champion, Glenn Youngkin, he's gonna do it. [00:56:42] And then Youngkin was pretty not great, and he's nobody now. [00:56:47] But that is the nature of the Virginia governorship. [00:56:51] And what really happened here was Spanberger ran as a normie lib and then won and then started passing liberal shit, actually, stuff that left wing people approve of. [00:57:06] The reason why these people have to freak out about it is because if you don't freak out about it and you just look at what happened, you might get the dangerous idea that voting blue, no matter who, could lead to good things. [00:57:20] You could get tangible results. [00:57:24] This ex CIA evil centrist became the governor of Virginia, and suddenly good things are happening. [00:57:32] One thing I like about that is it's something I see a lot too this idea that. [00:57:38] Politicians are not allowed to change their minds ever about anything. [00:57:43] If you have a stance on something, that's your stance until the moment you drop dead. [00:57:47] It's like with Larry Bird, was that who? [00:57:51] Not Larry Bird. [00:57:55] The senator who used to be in the KKK. [00:57:58] Robert Bird. [00:57:58] Robert Bird. [00:57:59] I knew Larry Bird was a basketball player. [00:58:02] Yes. [00:58:05] But yeah, Robert Bird, he was a member of the KKK. [00:58:10] He was not some. [00:58:11] Made up grand vizier, or whatever people claim he was, but then he realized he was wrong. [00:58:17] He became a champion of civil rights. [00:58:19] The NAACP wrote a trippy to him when he died because he worked so hard on issues of equality. [00:58:26] But nope, but nope, Joe Biden took a picture once with Robert Byrd, so that means he's a Klansman too. [00:58:33] That's it. [00:58:34] That man was wearing a white robe the moment he kicked the bucket, and no one is ever allowed to change their mind ever in politics. [00:58:42] No. [00:58:43] People are saying the same thing about Obama when he was telling people to vote yes on the Virginia prop. [00:58:49] And they're like, he's spoken out against gerrymandering in the past. [00:58:54] I get well, one he was talking about gerrymandering in general. [00:58:57] This is a very specific case where they're trying to counteract what the Republicans are doing, and two, people aren't allowed to change their minds, especially when they're not in office anymore and don't have to worry about what the voters are going to think about what they're saying, right? [00:59:12] Exactly, exactly. [00:59:15] It's, I just don't get this idea that they're that if you're in politics, your brain has to remain in stasis, yeah. [00:59:24] New information. [00:59:26] Cannot lead you to new ideas and new thoughts. [00:59:29] You can't change your mind. [00:59:31] And the other thing about this that is what really kind of drives me up a wall is that if you're the governor of a state, a lot of the legislation that matters is what's passed by your state Senate and your state House. [00:59:48] And I don't know how liberal the Virginia State Congress is, but they're passing these bills. [00:59:56] No governor is going to get into a fist fight with their state Congress about stuff most of the time. [01:00:02] I mean, I know I've heard some stuff about New York, about them being at loggerheads about shit. [01:00:09] But nine times out of 10, if you've got a trifecta and the state Congress passes something, the governor's going to sign it. [01:00:19] The governor's going to have a happy little speech and they're going to sign a bill and they're going to take credit for the work you did because they're the one that put their name on the piece of paper. [01:00:26] So that's how this works. [01:00:29] Yeah. [01:00:29] So you're the guy on top takes the heat, but he also gets the credit. [01:00:33] That's how it goes. [01:00:34] Right. [01:00:34] Yeah. [01:00:35] Right. [01:00:35] And in Massachusetts, in my state, our governor doesn't even, our governor will sign the bill and that's great and they can take credit for it if they want. [01:00:46] But even if they tried to veto it or stop it, they can't because we have omni majorities in our state houses. [01:00:53] So Mitt Romney did, Like, he did like six line item vetoes, or he vetoed Obamacare and vetoed Romney Care like six different times. [01:01:03] And they just were like, You know, we're just going to override your because you can't stop it. [01:01:08] You can't stop this. [01:01:09] We want to do this. [01:01:11] So it was more accurately Commonwealth Care. [01:01:13] But then Romney saw it was being successful. [01:01:15] He's like, Oh, it's Romney Care. [01:01:18] My brilliant idea for the fix the health care system of Massachusetts. [01:01:22] My own idea that I will run against in 2008. [01:01:26] Right, exactly. [01:01:28] Which, or 2012. [01:01:30] Yeah, 2012, whatever, doesn't matter. [01:01:31] But yeah, but to me, that will always be that's always going to be my favorite thing about when talking about how ridiculous our media is and how it's very obvious they put the thumb on the scale on behalf of Donald Trump in this previous election. [01:01:47] Is that in 2012, literally all our media ever did was, oh, the Republicans were so dumb to run the guy that had a Romney care when they're trying to fight Obamacare. === Media Calls Trump Era Shit Show (02:27) === [01:01:57] What dum dums. [01:02:00] Meanwhile, you've got a guy. [01:02:01] Three years younger and way more senile than Joe Biden running against Biden. [01:02:05] And the media is like, oh my God, Biden's so old and senile. [01:02:09] Look at this spry young chicken, Donald Trump. [01:02:12] Oh, look at the dance he's doing. [01:02:14] Oh, isn't he so much better than the old man that's currently in the White House? [01:02:17] Don't you have to vote for the dancing fool? [01:02:20] Waka waka. [01:02:21] And it's just, oh my God, it's just, we're so back. [01:02:26] We're so back, baby. [01:02:28] We got our beautiful orange boy back in the White House. [01:02:31] Just, God, so ridiculous. [01:02:35] So annoyingly depressing. [01:02:37] So, yeah, that's great. [01:02:38] I'm trying to remember who it was, but I think it was yesterday. [01:02:42] Dan Abash was interviewing somebody and was asking if he feels like the rhetoric on the left is what caused this attempt on Trump on Saturday. [01:02:53] And just all these people were getting on her about it on Twitter. [01:02:58] And she responded to Aaron Rupar when he posted it. [01:03:03] She says, If you'd heard earlier in the conversation that's not in this clip, I had called Donald Trump out for blah, blah, blah. [01:03:12] And I'm like, okay, so at best you're both sides in it. [01:03:16] Right, exactly. [01:03:20] I'm just trying to remember who it was she was interviewing. [01:03:23] Yeah. [01:03:26] Oh, Jenny Raskin, that's who it was. [01:03:28] Yeah. [01:03:28] Oh, yeah. [01:03:29] Yeah. [01:03:29] She went hard at Raskin and she was just, yeah. [01:03:32] And she was trying to make him admit, admit, admit that you're bad. [01:03:37] Admit that you did a bad thing, you bad person. [01:03:43] The man who, I mean, is he still in chemo or is that all over with? [01:03:48] I haven't heard anything in a while. [01:03:49] So I thought he was. [01:03:51] His hair's grown back. [01:03:51] So I figured he probably is in remission. [01:03:55] Or at least not getting radiation treatments anymore. [01:03:58] Yeah. [01:04:04] Yeah. [01:04:05] Yik. [01:04:05] Great. [01:04:06] Yeah. [01:04:06] But, boy. [01:04:09] And this is the same Dan Abash that called the first Trump, the first Trump Biden debate a shit show. [01:04:18] Like on air said the word shit show. [01:04:20] And now she's pretty much bending the knee. === Oswald Acted Alone Reminder (00:55) === [01:04:25] Of course. [01:04:26] Of course. [01:04:29] And by the first one, I mean, you know, the one in 2020, not the 2024 one. [01:04:36] Well, I mean, if you had to say that in 2020, because Biden cleaned his clock, and we can't have the God Emperor looking bad, that would just be unacceptable. [01:04:50] Yeah. [01:04:52] So that will wrap it up because we're out of gas here. [01:04:57] Thank you all for listening. [01:04:58] Five star review wherever you listen. [01:05:03] Patreon.com slash poker politics.
