| But I think that a lot of people, though, I think, just like when I heard you interview Paul Craig Roberts, I think when you said that he had voted, supported Obama, I just think that Obama's voting record and who financed his campaign was open to the public many, many months before the election. | ||
| And I never, within the black community, let's say just outside of Illinois and Chicago, Barack Obama was a nobody. | ||
| I never heard of Barack Obama until the 2004 Democratic Convention when he gave a speech and a lot of people know Talk about Obama giving this great speech, and then when I watched it, I really didn't see anything of substance. | ||
| I saw a good act, but I didn't hear any substance. | ||
| So, I checked the guy's voting record, and looked at who financed his campaign, and I'm thinking that this is not somebody I think that the people should be endorsing. | ||
| And so, after digging into his record on the Patriot Act, funding the war, refusing to investigate Bush on any war crimes, FISA, NAFTA, | ||
| We saw during the primaries, the Democratic primaries, uh, Barack Obama's economic advisor, one of them, uh, Alan Goosby, who's a member of Skull and Bones, said that, uh, I think it was the Canadian consulate that a lot of the rhetoric that Obama was saying about NAFTA during the Democratic Ohio primaries was just a bunch of talk and that he really didn't mean what he was saying. | ||
| So, um, I just think that, you know, I think a lot of people that they really have to get over, get off of the whole, American Idol, personality driven support of people, really look at more of the substance of people. | ||
| And I think that too many times, especially within the African American community, I think it happens in all communities where they don't really want to dig deep into the issues They get on a bandwagon. | ||
| Things were bad under Bush. | ||
| The economy's imploding. | ||
| We want to believe that this is really a good guy and he's going to fix things, but he's even gone on the show with Stephanopoulos, the Sunday show, and now said, yeah, that was campaign rhetoric on Naftali Gaddin. | ||
| I mean, it's just an incredible betrayal. | ||
| Do you think that the folks in Atlanta that you talk to, black or white, are they starting to break the spell, or are they still just as deep in that spell? | ||
| I think a large portion of them are still deep in that spell, but I think over time it goes on that more and more of them are going to wake up and realize that Barack Obama was one of the biggest political frauds in recent memory, because with him adding more troops to Afghanistan, which was no secret, prior to him being elected, but we still saw a lot of people within the so-called anti-war movement, like Code Pink and others, you know, support Obama, but I think over time once they see that Obama really has no agenda to really fix the economy, | ||
| Remove the troops from the war, really bring jobs into this country. | ||
| I think a lot of the hype and stuff is going to... I think it's going to be fade away before the end of the year, easily. | ||
| That's right, now he's going out to big black groups and others, but specifically going and speaking to big black conferences and saying, hey, you're going to lose your jobs, particularly black folks. | ||
| This is going to be really tough now. | ||

| And they're saying, what? | ||
| Because he promised us milk and honey and hope and change, everything was going to be all right. | ||
| And then he just switched right into the fear of what Bush had done, saying, look, do what we say with the banks or a crisis will turn into a catastrophe. | ||
| And he's now even cutting subsidies, and I'm not for socialism because it makes you dependent, but they're done making us dependent now. | ||
| He's cutting a bunch of subsidies actually to the people, and it's all going to the banks. | ||
| I mean, the bankers are just gorging everything. | ||
| Right, you're absolutely right. | ||
| With the bailout thing back in October, a large portion of the Congressional Black Caucus voted against the bailout during the first vote within the House of Representatives, and it was Barack Obama who got on the phone lobbied a lot of the members of the Congressional Black Caucus to switch their votes. | ||
| And after him lobbying the Congressional Black Caucus, a large portion of them switched their no-votes. | ||
| He gets notes from the second vote round. | ||
| And I think that alone right there should have told the people that this guy is not from the people he has. | ||

| Do you think that that's acceptable or do you think that those institutions that are receiving help from the Fed should substantially cut those interest rates? | ||
| Well, with respect to credit cards, we've been working actively in that area in a couple of dimensions. | ||
| One is that credit availability will be enhanced by our TALC program, which I've just announced. | ||

| Should a financial institution that is being bailed out by taxpayers charge those taxpayers 25 or 30 percent interest rates when they're receiving? | ||

| Well, pay and job tenure should depend on performance and those who perform poorly should lose their jobs. | ||
